(00:44):
rate quote. We have a special treat for you listeners, Rob.
How often are we gonna do this? Once a month
or once a quarter? How How often is this going
to happen? Rob? How you talking to either one of y'all?
Do you I mean if you know? Do you know

(01:04):
the hot seat? Tonight we are we are going to
do something different with the hot seat we are going in,
which is at the bottom of this hour. In about
twenty eight minutes, we are going to have a listener
or the hot seat for the first time. Usually we
bring one of our colleagues from here at Fox Sports Radio.
But for the first time ever, we are going to

(01:27):
have a listener. It's mister Happy now. He was on yesterday,
right they called up lame so the hot seat exactly.
But is this how often we doing this? Rob Grob,
I hadn't thought about that, Robert through, but I don't
think it's gonna happen often. That's how did he make

(01:48):
it tonight? Because he was blowing me up on social
media and I asked Rob, Rob was cool with it
and Rob said yes, yeah. I said, well, Rob's like
he's easy pickings. We're gonna slaughter this kid. Didn't know
once in a while, a Rob G. I just think
there's something really you see what we're getting with trash talking,
Like people are really on it, really good, Like I
could see like Hector or Tony from LA. You know,

(02:10):
there's some of guys who are pretty good. So we
should be open to it every so often, Rob Gi,
you know what I mean. It doesn't have to be scheduled,
but we should be open to it. I think we
should have a um trash talk contest. We'll do to
come up with a nice name for it and winner.

(02:30):
The winner will prizes maybe there's some a couple of gear,
but also it could be you get on the hot seat.
I think I'm not sure, but I think that Jim
Rome has that kind of thing covered. No, but he's
got that's kind. But he does a whole I don't
know if he still does does he still do the whole?

(02:51):
Dely kind of okay, but this is just once you know,
I mean, we're doing the trash talk. That's siler, right,
you know, but now that you know, yeah, we're not
trying to do what he's doing. But I'm saying, like
you said, Rob Parker, they're getting really good. I mean
there's some guys who awarded of doing it. Absolutely. We

(03:12):
had remember the other night a couple of weeks ago,
we had like the clash of the Tight it was
just last week that last week. Yeah, we'll see, we'll
work it out. But uh but anyway, quickly, Robbing, it's
just a quick comment because we want to get to
Aaron Rodgers. But um, James Harden, let me. I'm just
gonna ask you this. There was a big story today

(03:34):
about how he had control of the organization and some
people there were saying that their culture is whatever James wants.
I just want to ask you this, how do you
think this thing ends up with Houston? Do you think
how do you think it is up? And do you
think they just need to go ahead and trade him
now and just you know, get get rid of him

(03:54):
and just can't. You can't give give him away, so
you and that's where I think they might be at
this point, So you can't, you know, and with all
of that coming out and all that, just this isn't
the time to do it. Let him play, Let him
show everybody how talented he is, you know what I mean,
Play a little bit, and then let him play back
in the shape, you know, and just let all the

(04:15):
noise calm down, and then out of nowhere you make
you make that call, you know, you put the feeler
out that if you want them, you could come get
him now, you know, but not not right now. He
probably will be traded at some point during the season. Yeah,
you would think, maybe before the deadline. Here's the thing too,
and I don't think this will happen. I don't think

(04:37):
they're a contender, and certainly I don't even feel comfortable
calling them a contender in the West or even throwing
that out there. But My point is, if you look
at that roster, rob it is talented. I mean John Wall,
and I'm assuming john Wall is close to what he
was when he left. Now he's looked good. I know
it's preseason, But what if John Wall is ESSENTI what

(05:00):
he was before he got injured. What if Boogie Cousins,
who you know hasn't played in a few years, it's
still capable of giving me eighteen to nine. Eric Gordon
certainly is a very good fourth fifth guy. PJ. Tucker
is a very good role player. Uh, Christian Wood is

(05:22):
pretty solid as a center, kind of a stretch guy.
Like I mean, I think Harden the only way that
it could get better the situation, and he is if
they jumped out to a great start like nine and one,
nine and three something, you know, where they really look good.
I don't think. I don't see that happening. But if

(05:44):
one and eight, then you got a problem. Yeah, you
got a big problem. And and at that point, honestly,
if I'm one in eight, if I'm one in eight
and Harden is actually trying to play hard and he's
not causing problems, he's just playing, but we're just losing,
I got bigger problems than James Harden because that team
should not be winning eight. Yeah, they got some decent talent.

(06:09):
I'm not saying they can win the West, but I
just don't know about John Wall And I guess we'll wait.
And you know, you said he's look pretty good. Yeah,
I mean it's the early obviously preseason, you don't want
to wait read too much into it. But he's looked
he's looked pretty good in the preseason. He needs he
needs a big season because he's been off the grid
and yeah, and all the stuff about him is just

(06:30):
all negative and well what I mean, whether it's his
fault or not, ry, I'm just saying, like, like his
dimension of him is not like pleasant, like you don't
go right, because even when he was playing well individually,
they weren't winning, right, I mean, you know, not at
a high rate, and they got to the second round
of the playoffs, and that's when the East was really, really,

(06:52):
really bad. It'd be a lot different now because the
East is much tougher. But here's the thing, Rob Virtually,
no matter how he plays, there's no way he could
make the All Star team in the West. Right. It's
just I mean, I don't care what he does because
the only player the one you're gonna have one player
from that team, it's gonna be James Harden, right, It's

(07:15):
just and then there's just too many other guards and
people out there in the West. It's almost impossible and right,
and that's how there's some good players who just can't
get in the mix because because of you know, just
the talented depths is ridiculous. Yeah, so all right, Um.
Aaron Rodgers was on Pat McAfee's was it his podcast

(07:38):
or his radio show? His radio show, and made it
some interesting comments about the whole goat discussion. Here he is,
there's way too many people label to go to, this
guy's to go to this, this guy's to go to
that he used to be greatest of all time is
one person. But now because there's way too many goats,
you have to break it out in the specific categories.

(08:00):
Best winner of all time, person has won the most championships,
best player you know, which involves talent and ability and
what you did with that, most talented player you know,
best thrower of the football. It's all these different ways
you can break that out. But when it comes to
those maybe not with Ja but with most people, I'm

(08:20):
probably in that conversation interesting, Rob. And one thing you
and I do, and I don't see where I disagree
with Aaron Rodgers is I don't think there's that many
goats being talked about. I think in basketball we talk
about Lebron or Michael Jordan and maybe Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

(08:42):
But that's three people who all have the resume, and
you know, but it's pretty limited. I mean, you rarely
hear Kobe every blue moon. Somebody might throw him out,
will Bill Russell, but it's pretty much Jordan and Lebron
and occasionally Kareem. Football, it's most of what I hear

(09:03):
is Tom Brady, and then some you know, like you
and the others that don't believe his Brady pretty much
believe is Joe Montana. You might hear Marino every now
and again. But I don't think it's all these different categories.
And you and I, I know, we make it a
point to say, no, you're not. We're not the best winner,

(09:28):
best the guy that throws the best out patterns, who
through the best long ball, who had the quickest release,
who's the gold of that? We don't do that. We
say there's one goat, but we hear people. But people
do call up here with that, Chris. We've heard it
because we've had to stop people because they would try
to like like make it a specific area to be

(09:50):
able to say somebody's to go. Do you know what
I mean, Like we've had to we've said that. No, no, no,
they said, oh, yeah, well if you're talking about like
like like this is the one we're here for Kareem,
if we're talking about that their basketball career, it's Kareem
abdul Jabbar, who wanted high school, who won in college
and one in the NBA. But that's you know what

(10:11):
I mean, Like that's what they'll try to use and
we'll say, no, that's not what we're talking about. We're
talking about the NBA, right the highest level. We all
know that if you just talked about Kareem as a
basketball player, there's nobody he's unmatched, right for all those levels? Unmatched? Yeah? Um,
And I look, Rogers is making well I don't think

(10:34):
he's saying we should have these different categories, but he's
absolutely right that he's in that discussion. He would probably
be right. He seems to know he would be in
there as perhaps the most talented player, uh certainly best
thrower of the football, him and Dame Marie and it

(10:55):
all the time, right, but um he understand as he's
not the goat. And I think though, if you're dividing
it into the like, I don't like Rob calling Tom
Brady the greatest football player ever. I think that is ridiculous,
to be honest, because when I think of a great

(11:17):
football and he's I think he's the best quarterback. But
when I think of a football player, I picture this.
If you go went to a football camp and you
had to you know, hit the blocking dummies, you had
to run a forty yard dash, you had to catch
the football, you had to throw the football, you had

(11:38):
to tackle somebody maybe you you know, oh, I know
this is outlaw, but Oklahoma drill. Like, who would be
Who's the best at that? At all those things? That's
the best football player to me? So it could be
a Jim Brown, It could be a Walter Peyton nowadays,

(11:59):
who maybe be a Derek Henry, you know what I'm saying,
But there's no way that guy would be Tom Brady,
or virtually wouldn't be probably any quarterback, you know, what
I'm saying. But but the quarterback is, and we know this,
they get too much of the credit when they win,
and they get too much of the blame too when
they lose. And we could talk about that all the time.

(12:21):
Just that's what we do. That's that's because that's that's
where's the Canada most It's the most important position. There's
no way to just even though we have seen teams
win with subpart quarterbacks. Because the Baltimore Ravens defense was unbelievable.
Right when they won Chris and Tampa Bay. I covered

(12:42):
that Super Bowl. You remember when Tampa Bay and Rob
g I notice hurts, but the Raiders had the number
one offense and Tampa Bay had the number one defense.
Chris that year and if you remember that Super Bowl,
the Tampa Bay a baby. The defense scored twenty one

(13:02):
points in that Super Bowl, if you remember, I mean
they were running it back to the house but Brad
Johnson back. Yes, so they didn't have a great quarterback,
but that defense was unbelieved. I don't know exactly, Rob
do you probably cried your eyes out exactly how many
points did the defense score? But they had like three
picks and a couple backs defense. Yeah it was, it was,

(13:25):
but it was the first time a number one offense
played a number one defense in the Super Bowls. Pretty
I should have meant my statement, right. I think quarterback
is the most glorified position. It is, but honestly the
most and this isn't sexy. Nobody really ever wants to
play this position when you're growing up. But the offensive

(13:48):
line is are probably the most important positions. I mean
real talk, well, because it starts there, because if you
don't have that and quarterback, you're running back or your quarterback.
If you don't have an I'm sorry, right, you're not
gonna be able to get the ball off. You're not
gonna be able to make any plays if you're on
your back, no doubt, right, right. So it's a it's

(14:10):
a good discussion. I think it's interesting. And and look,
I mean we talk about this before, Rob when when
you want to have the goat discussion, and particularly in basketball,
you know, because I think it's I know you don't
believe it's, Brady, but would you agree that I really,
I really don't. I think that one is more undisputed,

(14:34):
you know, and there are those that disputed you and
some others, but I feel like Brady is more the
undisputed goat than jordan Ists. Like there are a lot
of people Jordan mostly it would probably get the most votes,
but there's a healthy number of people that are starting
to say lebron See. I disagree. I think that the

(14:57):
Brady thing when people um are honest about his career
and really look at that team and look at the
first three championships and what the defense and Adam Venetarry did.
And that's not to say that Brady didn't play or
didn't have anything to do with it. He led the
game winning drives every single victory. Yeah, he had one

(15:19):
touchdown his first you know the tough rule we take
away from the Jackson on Monday Night. I'm just the
game winning drive because it was a field goal. All
I'm saying nobody also threw a touchdown to put them ahead.
But but I get your point. My point is that
the Brady's numbers aren't that great if you really are
honest and look at him, especially the first career, the

(15:42):
first three Super Bowls, they weren't eye popping. They barely
They won every Super Bowl by four points or less.
I mean, they didn't blow anybody out, Brady Win. I mean,
you know, but but but it talks about the defense,
and I'm saying Brady gets credit for those, but defense
and kicking were as important as Tom Brady. The first three.
I'm just saying the first three, that's all. That's why

(16:04):
I think you. I wouldn't argue that, but I do
think the six the individual number, because I do think
rob it is a combination. It's not Jess Rings just championships.
If it's championships, and also your individual numbers and his
individual numbers throughout his career are great. They're not as
good as Rogers. I don't think they're as good as

(16:26):
Peyton Mannings, but you know, but they're great. And combine
that with his titles and h you know, that's where
you get a lot of people saying he's the Gold,
including me. All Right, we're just gonna throw it out
to you. We talked about a lot there concerning the
Gold conversation. Do you like what Aaron Rodgers said about it?
And what are your thoughts on this very nuanced discussion

(16:50):
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, It's the Eye
Couple Fox Sports Radio. Be sure to catch live editions
of the Odd Couple with Chris Broussard, then Rob Parker

I like this, Alex, I got Alex. Yeah, this is

(17:14):
our boy, Kurt Franklin. This one's called We Three Kings.
All right, I'm dustin Jail. That's that's three excluding Rob
g check that up. See I thought that Rob being funny.
You thought that was Parliament. That's right. Where's Devin? We're
right right. We're coming to you live from the guy

(17:36):

Discovery Plus. It's got all the shows you love from
your favorite brands like HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel and more,
plus exclusive originals you can't see anywhere else. All coming
soon in twenty twenty one US only. Let's get to

(17:58):
the calls, Rob, what do you think about all this
goat discussion? All right, let's kick it off with Marcus
and Georgia. You're on the Odd Couple of five Sports Radio.
What's up? Marcus? Hey? How are you doing? I was
listen to your conversation. Listen to the show. Thank you
for having me. Um, I M, I don't. I don't

(18:18):
agree with what Aaron Rodgers said. I mean, UM, I
do believe people that you know, they do, UM have
certain favorites as you know, who's the most talented, UM,
who has the most rings and things like that. There
are those are those categories. But I don't think that
they actually choose that one person as being the goat.
I think, yeah, I didn't think everything the goat. Who's

(18:44):
your goat quarterback and goat basketball player? My goat basketball
player right now is Michael Jordan. The only reason I
say that is because of what he's accomplished. I think
Lebron James is on that path to becoming the goat,
but right now it's Michael Jordan's. UM. He's lost six times.
I just find that to be that that that makes
no sense to me. Longevity. I mean, that's why I say,

(19:07):
you gotta take everything into consideration. No, I know, but
when the guys lost as many championships, it just to me,
and I get all the stats and playing a long
time compiling he could never be the go no matter
what he did. He won. He won four championships in
seventeen years. If he plays three more years and and
doesn't win, he win four championships in twenty years, you

(19:29):
would consider them the greatest player ever played. I'm asking
you the great player, the greatest player. No, I'm asking
you what he what he would he be? Okay, if
he wins the next let's say he wins the next three,
the next two. I mean I hear you, Okay, ask

(19:56):
the question for you. I think that's a question for you. Rob.
If he wins the next two and he's got a
three peak and he's got six championships, six twelve appearances
in the finals, that that that's saying something that's not
better than what Michael Jordan accomplished. Because it's not just
what Michael did as far as uh uh winning rings.

(20:19):
He's the all time leading playoff scorer, He's got ten
straight top did His stats are way more than just
the six championships. That's just the icing on the cake.
I mean that that's that's what I think gets lost
with Michael Jordan. People think it's just the six and
all he was better. Yeah, that's that's foolishness. And then
you know I'm in the Jordan camp No, but I do,

(20:42):
I do leave room. I mean Lebron is still playing
if he because because I don't think his peak will
ever be what Jordan's was. But if he, if there
is a place where somebody can accomplish so much both
team wise as an individually, that that has to be

(21:03):
a factor. Like if he wins and this is a big,
tall order, I mean that he wins the next two championships.
I mean, that's you know, that's more than the notion.
But let's say, for the argument's sake, he does. He's
got a three peat, he's got six championships, twelve finals appearances,
and he's the leading scorer all time and in top
five assists. I mean, that's a that's a lot to override.

(21:27):
So you know, we'll see what also, But you could
somebody could also talk about how how did he lose?
How come with a with a stack team in Miami
they lost to a Dallas team, or they didn't ring
three in a row down there, or you know, I
mean he was in Cleveland for eleven years, he only
won one champion. I mean, we could go on and
on and on. I hear what you're saying, but I

(21:48):
don't think that when you when you put it all together,
I think Michael is bigger than just a six and off.
That's just it just tells there's no doubt about that.
That's I mean, we we all know that. Yes, all right,
Tory and Columbus Georgia, let's squeeze and Tory quickly he said,
no time. All right, it's the eye couple, Chris and Rod.

(22:11):
We got mister Happy on the hot seat in a moment.
But first, Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at
Fox Sports Radio dot com and within the iHeart Radio app.
Search f s R to listen live. All right, we're
coming to you live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios.
It's easy to say fifteen percent of more in your

(22:32):
carn shots with Geico. Go to Geico dot com recall
a one hundred and nine for seven a UTL. The
only hard part figuring out which way is easier. It's
time for the hot seat. The odd couple are making
it hot in here, damn hot. Time to sit your
butt down in the hot seat. All right, for the

(22:53):
first time ever, mister Happy, and here's a little song
he did for the Eye Couple. That's right, mister Happy's
in the building the first time ever. An Odd Couple
listener getting into the squared circle with the tag team
champs Chris and Rob the Odd Couple. Mister Happy, how
are you feeling this evening? Man? Oh man, I'm feeling great.

(23:14):
I'm gonna be feeling better after what I'm about to
do to them. You're gonna be like Jon song. No,
it's gotten like a nice little nineteen eighty two vibe
to it. The only thing that's that's cool Chris is
I met his family and they're nice people. And the
least he'll be able, they'll be able to lick his
wounds after it's all over. He has all right, you

(23:37):
know this works. Mister Happy has three very odd takes.
He's gonna defend two on one against the Odd Couple.
Let's get started take number one. It's fitting. We talked
about this last same in a little bit. Mister Happy.
The only one on the radio right now who believes,
without a shadow of a doubt, Lebron James is the goat,
not Michael Jordan. Mister Happy, you got thirty seconds state

(23:58):
your case, all right? For of all man goat is
an individual title, not a team title, So championships do matter,
but they're only a part of the equation. Lebron James
is the greatest individual player in NBA history, able to
do everything on the court, playoff five positions, car off
five positions, shatter in all records. Longevity matters to staying.

(24:19):
Greatness matters. He was the best player in all five
positions in the twenty sixteen NBA Finals. Lebron is the goat.
Jordan is a whole news baby. Stop it, mister Happy,
That's ridiculous. Lebron plays off five positions. No, he doesn't.
He doesn't. He doesn't guard centers. He doesn't play center.

(24:40):
Stop it all right, Secondly, he does. He doesn't do
everything on the court. Michael Jordan had no weaknesses. Lebron's
not a very good free throw shooter. He doesn't have
that mid range pull up jump shot. He doesn't move
that well off the ball. Michael Jordan could do everything
on the court. Lebron has some weaknesses that I can

(25:02):
point to, not to mention. Jordan won six championships in
eleven full seasons in Chicago. Lebron's got four and seventeen
years okay, all right, so let's talk about the only
real measurable evidence of the individual impact, right how your
team performs when you're on the court and when you're
off the court. Lebron finals every year when he's with

(25:23):
his team, Louisvisalam find a lottery team. Jordan goes to
the finals, but then when he leaves they go make
deep playoff runds. I can't explain that. I mean, Lebron
does more. What do you want a smartphone or you
want a landline? I think I want a smartphone, you know,
so I can check my emails and post those mouth
you're in Natan means like Rob does all day on Instagram.

(25:45):
The only people who discount championships all Lebron fans because
he's lost six of them. That's why they don't matter
to you. Michael Jordan is not just perfect in the
NBA finals, also the all time le Playoffs score also
won ten time scoring champion. Lebron did it one time.

(26:07):
I mean to stop trying to act as if it's
only about the championships that make it the difference. Michael
Jordan was the end all, be all killer. I could
ask you right now. I'm gonna just leave it to
Oh my gosh, that was a slow moving round there.
It felt like everybody's filling each other out. Only one

(26:28):
power punch was landed, and it was by Rob Parker,
So I guess by the far Round number one goes
to the Eye Couple. Pick up manegy guys. Come on,
let's go round number two. Mister Happy on the hot
seat with the Eye Couple. This is the one's gonna
really hurt their hearts here because mister Happy sticking with
Lebron James says that his shoes, Lebron's that is, are

(26:51):
better than Jordan's. Mister Happy, you got thirty seconds, stay
your case all right, man, Jordan had three good shoes man,
the ones, the elevens in the thirteens. Don't nobody buy
any of his other shoes. That's why I didn't keep
coming out with all these different colors and different styles
of the same shoe over and over again. With he's
got a partnership with Crayola. Come on, man, how many
different shades he's gonna come out with? Lebron's on the

(27:14):
other hand, and getting better every year, it's got a
more modern look reflect today's culture. And Jordan's is just terrible. Man.
I picked up a pair of them at Family Dollars
the other day because I needed to do some yardwork.
Get some Lebron's, baby, they're fresh. How about some facts. Look,
Michael Jordan hadn't played in fifteen years, and his shoe
out sells Lebron's buy one hundred million dollars. You're supposed

(27:39):
to be the goat. People should be knocking the store
windows open, busted open to get his sneakers. No, Jordan's
not only was the greatest player, his sneaker is still
the greatest, and in his hands down mister half and
mister half, yeah, man, he better, he better, is sold

(27:59):
more and had a fifty year head start. Come on, man,
have you ever wear Lebron fifty years? It feels like
most comfortable shoe ever walked in? Man, Lebron shoes, it
feels like I'm walking in Jesus sandals, man, proside. I'm
telling you, every time you're walking them, I feel like
my steps of order by the Lord men are just great.
How comfortable they are? Much better than walking in Jordan's
that feel as flat as Kyrie's earth. Man, I'm telling

(28:21):
you gotta get yourself a pair of Lebrons. I got
plenty of Lebron's and Jordan's. I'll give you this. Lebron
sneakers have improved dramatically over the last several years, but
there's no comparison. You said there's only three good ones.
Have you forgotten about the threes and the fours? Are
you crazy? Even the twols are fresh? And I could

(28:41):
go on and on. But you got kids that never
saw Michael Jordan play that think Lebron's the goal standing
in line for hours to get Michael Jordan's sneakers. I mean,
come on, seriously, you got kids standing in line for
hours waiting to get Michael jordan and shoes. Have you
ever seen that for Lebron's No Jordan's shoes or classic

(29:06):
Lebron's come and go? All right, a little more action
that round? I like it. There were some good jokes
on sides, blood, I will say, though, mister Happy's got
a few nice comments. Both Lebron and mj make basketball shoes,
and I don't think anyone actually wears Jordan's to play

(29:26):
basketball in their four. Round two goes to mister Happy,
you know. And this is the best NBA players last
year playing in why are you making up old stuff? Chris?
Old stuff? And the worst part is you can't make
free throws wearing the lebron sneakers points from the odd couple.
I've messed up, man, all right. Half number three, the

(29:48):
hottest taken the night we saved the best for the
lasting go either way when everyone's this one is gonna
win the game. Mister Happy on your radio right now
is saying with a straight face that pizza, which we
all know in love and probably have had this week
three times by now, it's overrated. Period. Mister Happy, you
got thirty seconds. Tell us why? Man just completely overrated.

(30:10):
I don't know where the fascination came with this giant
pizza bread with a bunch of toppings on it that
goes better on any other food. Pepperoni, give me lasagna, meatball,
give me spaghetti and jovies. I'll leave them on a
pizza because they're just as terrible as pizza is. This big,
creezy piece of food is not even good for a
stray rat. Come on, man, And then when you're done,
you got a giant piece of crust that you have

(30:30):
to force yourself to eat. I'll pass on that. If
you want food with no utensil, get yourself a burrito. Man,
are you crazy? I'm from New York where they have
the greatest pizza. It's a way of life. You get
two slices and a diet coke? Are you kidding me?
You folded the cheese it. There's nothing better than to

(30:51):
have a good slice of New York pizza. And you're
sitting around to talk about it's overrated. You don't even
need any topping for a New York slice. All you
need is the cheese and you you don't know what
to do with the cross. You munch it, you eat
it all. There's nothing better than the New York slice
forget about Go ahead, mister kraa man pizza. Who are

(31:16):
you Alex the Vegan? Come on, man, this is just
the biggest argument starter in history. Man. You get a pizza,
you got ten slices, right, you can't even split it
amongst for people. You get the pepperoni's cut all wrong,
and the cheese drags off onto the other person's pizza pizza,
and then you end up getting into an argument. Pizza,
Everything about it is just a problem. Seriously, I mean

(31:37):
what good side. Do you go with it? Wings? If
you get wings, everybody's gonna eat the wings, and they're
gonna leave the pizza a bunch of nasty pizza sitting
on the table for everybody else to eat. Get the
pizza and get some wings. I don't need sides with pizza.
I just google most popular food in the world. Guess
what came up, pizza. I've never met a person on Earth,

(32:00):
and I've lived all over the country who doesn't love pizza.
Not just like it, love pizza. You're the only person
I've ever met that said it's overrated. I bet you
even liked pizza a lot. You just think it's slightly overrated.
I mean, my goodness, you can't go wrong with pizza.
You got now and now it's beyond Pepperonian sausage. You

(32:22):
got buffalo chicken wing, you got barbecue chicken pizza, you
got all these flavors. Now there's no end. Pizza rules.
That was the best round of the night. Not a
back and forth action. But I must say it all
boils down to this. You know what food goes really

(32:43):
well with ranch dressing. Pizza in the wing goes to
the r couple. Come on, mister Happy, you got some nerves.
I bet you like pizza. Mister Happy, do you like me?
And it's you know? I tell you was on pizza
just to get it out the way. You ain't. That's

(33:04):
why you don't like pizza, because all you eating is
frozen pizza. I'm gonna go to a real I'm gonna Chris.
You're the first person I ever heard who didn't like pizza.
Who doesn't like pizza? And Chris, you don't want to
talk about about the New York Slice? Am I right?
In New York Pizza? Paula's on every corner? Absolutely absolutely,

(33:25):
you haven't. I didn't think it, and when I didn't
live in New York either, But when I got to
New York and had New York Pizza, I realized what
everybody was talking about, mister Happy. Excellent job, man. You lost.
We beat you down, but you took it like man.
You get in a effort, a def execution, but in
a for effort. You did have a few nice little

(33:47):
one liners in there, a little few singers. Good job, man, Definitely,
good job, he said, he wants to recount. I'm sorry, Donald,
you look okay. It is over, baby, But now a
nice job, and thank you for the music, thank you
for the me you got that that Houdini flow man
that you know that old school I appreciated man, mister,

(34:12):
great job, man, great job. We enjoyed it more. Our

catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussar
then Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm

Rance Allen Right, I surprise you with that I was

(34:34):

twenty one in the United States of America only Rob.

(35:16):
The Lakers are playing Phoenix tonight in the preseason and
it's the debut of Lebron and Anthony Davis. And it
was not a great debut. Obviously, this is nothing to
be alarmed about or take seriously. But they they were

(35:37):
just out there lilly gagging and Phoenix ran away from him.
And now the second unit has brought them back. But
THHT Taylor Horton Tucker, that's everybody's favorite player. Now. Rob
G is all in a tizzy about THT. But Rob,

(35:58):
the big news today, I I think it's great news
is that Major League Baseball is now going to recognize
the Negro leagues as They're gonna recognize it as major
League Baseball and so all their apparently their statistics and

(36:20):
championships and things like that will be recognized on the
major league level. What are your thoughts on that? Yeah,
I mean, I'm having as a part of Major League
Baseball's history and all that. Yeah, they're just gonna be
included or whatnot. I don't know about you know, when
you talk about the records and can you is it

(36:40):
apples and oranges? Compare the two And I'm just meaning
like that everybody, not that you shouldn't. Those numbers should
count and be a part of history because it wasn't
their fault that they didn't play in the major leagues.
They couldn't, right, they couldn't play because they wouldn't allow
them because it was segregation. So we all know like
Josh Gibson and some of these other players were great players.

(37:01):
Um and Jacky Robinson was not the best player in
the major in the negro leagues, No, he was they
he was hand picked because I thought that he would
be able to deal with what you know, what would
happen yep, which was a wrath upon him and his family,

(37:22):
and he was able to persevere and excel. Remember because
he was Rookie of the year. That was the first
time they had Uh. That's one of the great arguments
for and not to this is certainly not to excuse
all that he went through, which was horrible, the racism.
But when you always talk about we both always talk
about how writers are for the most part, obviously not

(37:44):
every writer, and there's there's times when this is not
the case, but for the most part, they're objective. Rob No,
you know a lot of those writers were racist, yep. Right,
there's no question didn't like a black man being in
the major league, and he was the year Chris and that,
and I know people always ripping on the writers, but

(38:05):
I think that that right there, Chris, during that time,
they could have easily not voted him and nobody would
have batted an eye in nineteen forty seven. Am I right? Absolutely? Absolutely,
Right after we're gonna talk tomorrow, we're gonna get more
into it. I think it's a lot to go in
and we want to hear from you too. You know,
what's John Skipson the home run King? Or is it

(38:27):
Barry Bombs? We want to know, right, A lot of
people still think it's Babe Ruth or hey, some people
do want to say Babe Ruth. But hey, yeah, So
we'll discuss all of that tomorrow, all right. Go to iTunes,
