R party. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. All right,
it is the I Couple. I am Chris. Here is right.
We are live from the Fox Sports Radio studios and
uh listen, folks. Real credit card questions require real people.
(00:45):
You know, someone who understands your issues and works to
resolve them with you. That's why I Discovers offers helpful
US base I'm sorry, nothing against anything, but US based
is critical because I've needed help and I'm talking to
somebody halfway across the world. So US based representatives for
(01:06):
Discover is huge and they're available for your twenty four
to seven three sixty five Discover card. Exceptionally common sense
and rob we have failed to really highlight what today is.
It's a trash talking choose day, right, you could trash
(01:27):
anyone anything in the world of sports. You can call
in about thirty five minutes you get thirty to forty
seconds to do your thing and let the trash flow.
Who'd you trash today on debt? Spend no trash because
of the holiday, you know how things are skeleton crews.
I didn't get to do that. Ye okay, okay, Well,
(01:49):
sad day. John Madden, absolute legend in football, first as
a terrific coach, won a Super Bowl with the Oakland Raiders.
As I said, Rob earlier made the playoffs eight years,
eight out of the ten years he coached, left the
game at the top, you know, and then became just
(02:10):
a tremendous broadcaster and then went on and you know,
maddened the game. The video game is just legendary, and
you know, so it's a sad day. And it's interesting
Rob that it just happened. I mean, everybody's been you know,
Fox has been promoting the documentary about Madden that was
(02:33):
aired on Christmas Day, and I can't wait to watch that.
I watch it this week. But it's just it's interesting that,
you know, a couple of days after they air that
he dies and it was unexpected. You know, it wasn't
like they did it no. Now, granted he's eighty five
years old or was so you know, at that age
(02:53):
anything can happen. But it wasn't like they you know,
made this documentary knowing, Okay, he's on his last legs
and let's let's get this tribute out to him so
he can see it, you know what I mean, before
he passes. So it's just sad and unfortunate, but his
life should be celebrated, right because he did a whole
(03:15):
bunch of things for the world. A game of football,
no doubt about it. It's just there's no way around it.
There's just nowhere around it. A seven fifty nine winning
percentage as a coach. He didn't just win anywhere that ranks.
That's what one or two that's in the top. Get that. Yeah,
(03:35):
it's not like he coached three years. He coached ten years.
So it's incredible Chris. And then when you look at
his impacting or broadcasting and working for all four networks
and on the big broadcast with all the top play
by play guy. He also was m and then you
know for the young kids with the mad and even
(03:56):
though he didn't develop the game, you know what I mean,
they put the game. It wasn't right. There's nothing like
that I don't want people to think, oh, yeah, he
came up with Madden too. No, he did not. He
did not. He was a tech whiz all the other
things he did. He was in a Silicon valley, right,
and came up with a video game. But but you
know all those things. And when you think of him
(04:18):
in football, and and people knew about as well, like, uh,
he didn't like to fly Chris, which is you know,
in the maddened bus and the cruiser and stuff like that.
He was a unique personality. And I remember when he
left the NBC, you know, because that was a little
controversial there. The network was going through pay cuts for
(04:41):
people and you know what I mean, and he didn't
want to take one, and and uh he stepped aside.
But he still kept doing I think serious XM football stuff, right, um. Yeah.
But but when I think of John Madden most of all,
I gotta admit, I think of him and Pat some
were all together in that Boots and CBS. Chris, even
though he worked without Mike, was a great football announcer.
(05:02):
He did ABC, he did NBC, he did Fox with
Summer all. But I still remember, like the early days,
that's when I was impressionable right as a kid. And
you remember, all games weren't on back when we were kids,
so when you got to see games on television, right,
it was a bit. I mean, you basically had to
(05:22):
watch your local game. Right. The only time I saw
highlights was Monday Night Football with Howard Coachell when he went,
wasn't that the biggest thing? That was the biggest thing?
Highlights D D D And he wouldn't. I mean, it
was on Howard Coachell would do the highlights from all
around the league. And guys, you guys are spoiled. That's
(05:42):
the only time we saw out of market games. We
saw nothing. When they used to do the local sports
on the news, they should just have a picture of somebody.
There was no video. There was not. I always say this, um,
And you see, obviously there's national sports talk radio show
all you know everywhere, we're one of them, their national
(06:05):
debate shows, skipping Shannon first takes, first things, you know,
sewing and so forth. There weren't any of those before,
or there weren't many, i should say, or hardly any
before like the internet and you know, all of that
stuff because as you said, back in the day, it
(06:26):
was hard to really know a ton about the whole league,
you know, and now you obviously knew the stars, and
you know you kept there was no way to see him,
nor could you read about him everything. Remember those games
they didn't make the paper back East, you didn't even
(06:46):
get There was no there was another time, Chris just
talking about where you had to call sports phone to
get a score, like there was there was no radio
giving you scores up to date, like you had to
call the number to get a score war of out
of town game. And when I told you time, when
I started my career nineteen ninety, I was sitting in
(07:07):
the newsroom answering phones and people would call up with
trivia questions to you either have to know them off
the top of your head, or you go get an
almanac or encyclopede or whatever and look it up. You know.
That was like the end of Now you can just
go google it. But yeah, back then you did. My
memory of Madden, I mean, obviously, like you said, he
(07:28):
and Pat Summer all were tremendous, So that's certainly one
of them. I do feel like I remember him. I
guess if I had to say my greatest memories of him,
were him as a coach because I was like a
huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan as a kid. I mean, I
just like everything I sleep, but I had Steelers sleeping bags, coats, hats, glut.
(07:51):
Like everything I had was Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Dallas
in the NFC. But Oakland was they right, They were
always there, you know, they were a tough team to beat,
and they were like the scariest. Cincinnati was good back
then too, but Oakland was like the scariest team for
me as a Steelers fan that the Steelers had to
(08:14):
get through, you know, to make the playoffs, you know,
and so um or to win the win the playoffs
and get to the Super Bowl. So yeah, I just
remember him his great teams that he had in Oakland.
But um yeah, it's a it's a sad day when
anyone dies, but obviously you want to celebrate his life
and his legacy as well. So it's amazing. Two. I
(08:36):
didn't notice John Madden won sixteen Emmy sixteen for Outstanding
Sports Analysts Personality and covered eleven Super Bowls for the
four Networks between seventy nine and two thousand and nine.
That's just incredible. Let me ask you this, um and
it's just popped into my head. Now, obviously they do
different things, but would you would you compare him at
(08:59):
all the bar Barkley. No, And I'm gonna tell you why.
You know what I think why I said that the
right like big personality, yeah, but conventional yes, But he
he was John Madden wasn't critical of people. He never
(09:19):
said anything like Charles Barkley. Charles Barkley is unique from
that standpoint. Chris when he is on the air at
TNT that has the NBA package right and says the
game is this is unwatchable, like just like seriously, nobody
can say that except for Charles Barkley. That's that's why
(09:41):
I'll draw the difference. But they were big both in
their sports, biggest life, you know what I mean, you
know and you get it. I mean like I said,
I mean, uh, Madden was doing games. Barkley you know
he doesn't do studios. There was a difference. But I
just think say that Barley the most biting guy that
(10:02):
we've ever had. I don't know, going back to Howard Coseell,
that weren't the most biting guy biting you know, like
comment like like well, now, I mean, where do you
you know you got skipped, you got stephen A, you
got you know. I mean they've kind of followed into Barkley.
I mean they're different, but you know what I'm saying, Like,
(10:23):
obviously a lot of people are biting now, but yeah,
I mean I think it makes sense that before Barkley
came up and was was doing that, you know, it
probably wasn't a lot of people doing it at that point.
So if you want to go there, you know what
I'm saying, I'm just saying, Yeah, I don't remember Madden
as as a guy who no he was who attacked
(10:45):
people like oh you know what I mean, say they
were bad or terrible one. But the reason I brought
up Barkley's because Madden is like he didn't It wasn't
about oh he's so technically sound and he he was
just himself, you know what I mean, like like sitting
at a bar with a buddy and he's not a coach,
(11:08):
just he's a basketball player who's given his opinion on
what he's seeing, like a regular Joe. That's how it
comes across and that's why it works. Yep, yep, all right,
we got trolling a rolling with Martin Wiss coming up
in about ten minutes. Then we got Trash talking Your
Time to Shine, But first the beard is back. We'll
get into that next couple of Fox Sports Radio. Be
(11:31):

my life? Saved my life last night the DJ. All Right.
We're from the Fox Sports Radio studios and were brought
(12:35):
to you by one of our favorite cities, robbing myself.
Las Vegas is the greatest arena on Earth every game, match, race,
and competition. It is always on folks, whoever you root for,
whatever sport you love to watch, the biggest games are
even bigger in Las Vegas. So make sure to play
your trip today at visit Las Vegas dot com. All right, Rob,
(13:00):
the Nets you you mentioned you you went to the
Lakers or the Nets Clippers game last night? Yeah, last night,
cripworld dot com. The crypt are they called it the cryp. No,
I haven't heard anybody yet. It was gonna get there,
Westbrook saying that, how are you gonna call it the
crypt in La Right? It's just crazy. It's just weird.
(13:23):
Even the signage on the building, Chris was I went
in just look kind of weird on it, you know
what I mean. I'm sure it's just well, you remember
when when they started naming these arenas after sponsors. It
was weird, you know, because you go back to the
old day. The Spectrum Great Western Power though, was after
a bank. Yeah yeah, what was it was just the Forum?
(13:47):
Wasn't that the great one? Then it became the Great
Western Form? Yeah? Um so yeah. But anyway, the game
you saw James Harden went bananas. Third points fifteen dimes,
eight rebounds, and that was just two days after he
put thirty six ten and ten on the Lakers and
(14:10):
two wins Kevin Durant out of both games. People starting
to say, James Harden his back. What are your thoughts
on that? I think if you're the net you gotta
be happy with what you've seen of late. You know,
the team has decimated Chris. They won two road games.
They're thirteen and three, best road record in the NBA,
(14:31):
and he looked more like himself. You you we talked
about off the air, but his free throws and attempts
of going back up. He's in the top five is that,
but he's still in The average is seven and a half,
which is not high for him, but it's third in
the league. Free throws apparently are down throughout the league,
exactly the cause he had. He had seventeen against the Lakers,
(14:53):
thirteen from seventeen from the field, only what five last night?
And he got three five last night, only four the
game before the Lakers. So I mean it's you know,
the bottom line is he's getting there, but he's playing
and they're only going to get better when they get
the other players back. It's just good, I think if
you're a nuts fan to see him playing more on
(15:15):
par and dominating and being and facilitating. I Chris, I
don't know how much of the game you saw last night, um,
but every pass was the pastors were leading to dunks
at the basket. I mean, just you know what a
great pastor he is and it was on display last night.
He's one, Rob. He is one of the few players
(15:37):
that I say is an all time, all time elite
scorer and at the same time an all time elite playmaker. Now,
a lot of people might say, oh, he's not an
all time elite playmaker, watching that dude is a phenomenal passer.
Phenomenal and I get it, it's a lot of high
(15:57):
pick and roll now and all that, but he facilitates tremendously.
And here's why, though, Rob, I'm not going the full
fledge he's back yet because even as and you know
I've said this, I've been disappointed in James Harden this year.
I think he's played at an all star level, but
(16:18):
I don't think he's been the superstar that he has
for the past decade. And for the Nets to be
the best team in the league, especially without Kyrie Irving.
He has to be a superstar along with Kevin Durant.
He can't just be an all star. And as disappointed
as I've been robbed throughout the season with him, I
(16:40):
never doubted that if he's the only guy and you
give him twenty five shots and he can do whatever
the heck he wants, he's gonna get you thirty five.
I mean, like he can do that. My problem with
James Harden is when Kevin Durant has been on the lore,
(17:01):
he is too deferential. He is too much let kd
do it, and he only when when Katie's not there.
Rob the average is twenty shots a game. When Kadie's there,
he averages fourteen. He hasn't averaged fourteen shots a game
since he was in Oklahoma City. As as that's weird
because when when uh, Kyrie and and Katie were in
(17:24):
and out last year before he had he got injured,
it didn't seem like if they were in there like
it was he was pulling back him having those games.
And maybe, but I still think that he's shown what
he's able to do and if he can just play
on that level, it's not like it's gone anywhere. It's
(17:46):
just a matter of him. It's in it. To me,
it's in his mind. Well, right, But but I don't
need he didn't get it back, is what I'm saying. No,
I mean, he can do it, but do it. I'm
not in I mean, it was nice, it was impressive
what he did against too bad player, right, But I'm
just saying to me, I don't. It ain't about what
(18:07):
he does without KD there. It's about what he does
when KD is there, and when Kadi's there and Kyrie's not,
I need Harden to give You be aggressive. Obviously Kadie's
the first option, but you be aggressive and you get
your twenty five to twenty six points because that's what
the Nets need when Kyrie's not there. Now, Robert will
(18:29):
say this, when Kyrie's there, Harden can do what he's
been doing twenty points, ten assists, eight rebounds the way
he's played as disappointed as I've been. It's fine when
Kyrie and KD are both there. Because I got KD
giving me twenty nine, Kyrie giving me twenty five, twenty six,
(18:49):
and Harden giving me twenty that's great, and I think
he needs to be the primarily a playmaker when those
two are there, but when they're when one of UM's missing,
he's got And I know it's a tough balancing act,
but that's the act he's going to have to play,
especially with Kyrie coming back. Yeah, but I still would
like I would I'd rather them struggle and try to
(19:12):
figure it out and win than not. And I get
what you're saying about what you would like to see
in the points, but I think that there's still there.
They're having maxed out that their ceiling is even bigger
and he can play a bigger role. So it's just
ceiling is huge. Yeah, it's just good to see him playing,
playing that way and putting on a show. I mean,
(19:33):
it was worth the price of admission to watch him
play last night. It really was. Yeah. I mean, look,
you're you're you got the palm palms out, I got
tough love. We both picked the nets. I'm like, look,
get it together. I ain't sitting here patting you on
the butt because you had a nice game. I know
you can do that. You know, go ahead. The Clippers
didn't have Paul George, by the way, so that's not
(19:53):
a good team at all without Paul George. So I
just I need you to be your He did against
the lake Cars and they had they're struggling right now
with the ReBs up eleven. What do you mean Okay,
they aren't very good right now. So I look, I'm
just saying, I see, I never doubted that Harden could
(20:15):
do that. A month ago, I think he could have
done that. Take KD off the floor, say James, it's
your show. Do what you want. He didn't do that.
He got twenty five shots, Rob, But I'm like, dude,
that don't do that, But do be aggressive when Kd's there.
Don't just give him the rock and watch. That was
(20:36):
the problem against Milwaukee in Game seven. I know he
had to ham me. So I'm not gonna kill him,
but I'm just saying I need him to do it.
This is about winning the championship, and that's how he's
going to have to play for them to win the championship.
And again, it's gonna be a tough balance in that
because when Kyrie's there, Rob, he's gonna have to go
back to just more playmaker. When Kd's there, gonna need
(21:00):
him to be that second big score. So it's gonna
be a tough act for him, but he can do it.
He's good enough, he's smart enough to do it. Tough love. Yeah, okay,
well you you you you got the red, white and
blue palm pomps. I've never had to palms, never in
my whole It's just so great. It's just I'm just
(21:21):
all I know was it was, Oh my gosh. All right,
this is the Eye Couple Trolling. The Rolling with Martin
Weiss's next. Be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker weekdays at
seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeart Radio app. All right, were the Eye
(21:41):
Couple from the Fox Sports Radio studios eight seven, seven
ninety nine. On Fox eight seven, seven, nine nine, six
sixty three sixty nine. You can call in for trash
Talking Tuesday. You can trash anyone anything in the world
of sports. You get thirty to forty seconds to do so,
(22:02):
so come with a strong take if you decide to
do it. We got trolling a rolling with Martin Wis.
But first we brought to you by all those one
They've got the free services that you need to help
get you back on the road pronto, such as their
free all those own fixed Finders service all right, now,
they got fifty six hundred locations nationally. I mean, I'm
(22:24):
driving around every other corner. It seems like there's an
auto zone. It's just unbelievable, and it's packed. There are
people in there getting their work done and getting on
the road because all those owned makes the job easier.
You get it done. You get it done easier because
they're here to help you save time and money with
(22:44):
their free services. Restrictions do apply, but don't let that
stop you. Get in the zone, all those zoned. All right,
it's time for trolling, the rolling with Martin Weiss, Tom Brady,
he's done. Hey, Aaron Rodgers did not have a Pro
Bowl season. Trying to get me right, it's trolling or rolling.
(23:10):
I'm Martin White and education sins the first time hearing it.
I'll break it down for your real quick. If Robin
Chris like the stories that I read, you hear the
roll sound, they see me. And if they don't hear
the troll sound, oh man, hey, hey hey, hey, hey
hey hey. Now the Seattle Seahawks are out of playoffs
(23:31):
contention and generally have been out of sync all year.
Russell Wilson, they get hurt, But Pete Carroll says all
is not wrong in Seattle. Apparently the Seahawks aren't far off.
Carroll says the Seahawks need to retool, not rebuild. Chris
trolling or rolling the Seahawks being a few steps away
from contending, I'm rolling with it. They see me. I
(23:55):
think any in the NFL, we obviously know really more
than any of the other leagues, particularly more than the NBA.
A team can go from worse to first, from being
having a bad year to making the playoffs, And when
you have a franchise quarterback, which they do in Russell Wilson,
you're never that far away. They got some improvements to make.
(24:16):
Chris Carson was out, so they didn't have much of
a running game this year. They gotta obviously the defense
break bens. It doesn't give up a ton of points,
but they give up a ton of yards and they
gotta fix that. Um, so they have some things to do.
But yeah, I tend to agree. And Wilson got hurt
(24:36):
for three games and then played hurt for a few more,
so I don't think they're that far away. If they
do the right things, if they keep Russell Wilson, which
is a question mark, Um, I think they can get
back to being a playoff team really quickly. Obviously you
didn't watch a Sunday's game against the Bears, and it
didn't so I'm troll of it. Man. Hey, that team
(25:01):
is dead. It's time for change. If you got the
seventy year old coach you doesn't want to change, you can't.
You're living on the pass. Look at the NFC West
and the other teams. You're not going to beat them.
You gotta get way better and rebuild this. And the
best way to get better is trading Russell Wilson and
getting some picks. That's just they've made bad trades, uh
(25:24):
and giving up picks. Chris. They don't have anybody. There's
nobody coming trolling rolland a couple of fire swords. D
it sound bit of Martin? Because I lost money on
that game. I know Martin. I was at Martin's department
watching the game. I wanted to kick his TV set in. Hey,
you know what I'm telling you this right now? COVID notwithstanding,
(25:46):
because it's impossible to predict who's It's only Tuesday, so
who knows who's actually gonna be playing on Sunday. But
I feel like Lions plus seven versus Seahawks this week,
I feel like that's free money in the line. And
I agree they're done this year, but the Lions Lions
are playing good too. And I got him in. I like,
I'm liking Dan Campbell and the players obviously like him.
(26:10):
Troller rolling a couple of Fox Sports rad and I'm
speaking of COVID, Like, obviously you're hearing all of these stories,
especially the NBA of players you haven't heard of and
quite some time coming back. But this story feels unbelievable
because Carson Wentz is in the COVID protocols and may
not be able to play as a culture making their
playoff push. So of course they discussed calling old man
(26:31):
Philip Rivers to come shoot up for the squad. Chris
trolling the rolling Phillips Philip Rivers would be a good option.
At this point, I'm trolling that. Oh man, Hey, I'm sorry.
I get it. He played their last years for the
same coach. He probably knows the plays, but there's no
way that dude is in football shape. I just can't.
(26:57):
It's hard for me to see how he gives them
a better or shot at winning then their back. It
was the same Ellinger, the kid out of it was
the Texas. Yeah, I'm just sorry. I know he's not
great the backup. Nope, very few backups are. But I
don't know. This doesn't I wouldn't do it. It just
(27:18):
seems crazy that he could step in there and play effectively,
um when he's been you know, away this long. I'm
trolling it as well. Oh man, hey, hey, well Joe
NAIMI thought available if you put down the martev I mean,
come on, like like Philip Rivers, Stayton Manning Eli right, dude,
come on. And if that was the case, uh Christ
(27:42):
and Martin, you should have had him as a four
string on the payroll, doing meetings but on zoom knowing
to play. Do you know what I mean? Like, if
you really were scared that you might lose your quarterback
to COVID or something, you can't call the guy out
of the blue and ask him to come play in
an important game. I'm yes, Joe, if he if he
(28:05):
if he went out there rob and played poorly, and
he's been known to throw some batteners. Yes, he's a
turnover machine. Can you imagine it would? Yeah, it's kind
of like the Cam Newton thing to me. It's kind
of out of side, out of mind. Like Philip Rivers
was all right the last time that we saw him play.
Now he hasn't played this long. He was all right,
(28:29):
And so what do we think that we're gonna see
if he were to come back? But Troller rolling high
a couple of Fox Sports Radio. Now we know Dallas
Cowboys rookie Michael Parsons. He's different than all right, he's special.
But he's got thirteen sacks and seventy nine tackles so
far this season. He's the only NFL player to do
this over the last nine seasons. Not the only rookie,
(28:51):
the only player. And we still have games left to play.
Chris Trolling our rolling Michael Parsons is the defensive player
of the year. It's tough. Obviously, t J. Watt's having
a great year. Miles Garrett, um, some other even his
teammate trey ViOn Diggs with the interceptions. Um, but I'm
gonna say I'm rolling with it, you know. For him, obviously,
(29:18):
he's got the individual numbers, which you just mentioned. He's
got the versatility playing these various positions and he's been
a huge factor. And I give dan Quinn the defensive
wearing number eleven, and people don't know what kind of
player is, right, But it looks weird, doesn't it look weird,
(29:38):
Chris to have a defensive player wearing number eleven? Like, yeah, okay,
but but I mean dan Quinn deserves a lot of credit,
and I thought he helped turn that defense around, obviously, Diggs,
that Marcus Lawrence, you know you saw yesterday the phenomenal
play or this weekend, I should say, and the picks six.
(30:00):
So a lot of guys have stepped up, but I
think Mica Parsons and his versatility is the biggest reason
that defense has gone from one of the worst we'd
seen over the first half of last season to being
one of the better defensive units in the league. So yeah,
I'm fine with Mica Parsons getting it. He's a rookie,
(30:20):
which is shocking, but yeah, I'm rolling with you. Yeah,
I'm just gonna roll with it as well. And a
lot of it is, uh, why did you stop at
nine years? He's the only NFL player to do this
over the last nine years. Is there a reason you
stopped that nine because somebody did it ten years ago?
I saw, okay, somebody did it ten years ago. I
(30:42):
guess somebody did it ten years ago, and I wonder
if they want a Defensive Playoff the Year That's why
I asked you. But it doesn't matter. He's been I'll
call the research department. He's been a buzz and it
wasn't a Defensive Playoff the Year award. All right. That
was constructive. Take that constructively, Martin. That's saying, look, I'm
be ready for these questions when you when you throw
(31:04):
out all these that's all read between the lines. He
wasn't this, and he's helping bring you to a higher level.
Exactly when we have guests and people on our show,
we pressed them. Chris right, that's right. This silly me
for thinking Rob Parker the Trevor Trevor sports knowledge information
(31:24):
was he might have known who the defensive players was
ten years ago, ten years ago. Clost to guests twenty eleven. Um, gosh,
I have no idea. I was in the drunken stupor
ten years ago. I have no idea ten years ago.
All right, all right, stuff is always happy holidays. So
(31:46):
Mar's filling in on New Year's Eve on the couple
be here Friday. Big shoes to fill I hear, but
you can do it. You can do it. Do you
think I guarantee this? I don't know that the defensive
players two eleven with Thurrell sucks. Alight, good, I'll just
look it up. That Google is wonderful, that Google great.
(32:07):
Absolutely all right, Martin peace, brother, all right, your time
to shine, disgrown little sports fans. Trash Talking Tuesday is

was talking about trash last with you, one of the
ball talking trash. All right, folks, it is the I
Couple live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. And real
(32:51):
credit card questions require real people. You know, someone who
understands your issues and works with you to resolve them.
That's why this Discover Card offers helpful US base representatives
that are available twenty four, sevent three sixty five. Discover
exceptionally common sense. It's time, folks for trash talking Tuesday.
(33:13):
Don't you talking about trash talking Tuesday. It's the teeth, Reggy.
I don't know whether the smile. Let's you kick a field,
go man, all right, let's kick it off. Chris, you ready,
Dennis in Akron, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. Who you're trashing? Well, before I get to
(33:36):
my trash of the Steelers, I want to say condolences
to John Madden and his family. It's very sad. I
remember John Madden very well in the seventies. Um. He
was a great coach, great announcer. Very sad, and the
NFL lost a great one, no doubt, no doubt. Well, well,
(33:57):
the Bittsburgh Steelers allright teams in nineteen seventy four, forty
eight years boys, But the front office dropped the ball
two years ago. They knew they had to draft a quarterback,
they knew they had to did a better offensive line,
a running game, and a defense. But here we are
two years later, fighting for our playoff lives, having to
(34:18):
beat the Browns and the Ravens in the last two
games and the hopes that we get into the playoffs,
hoping that these Kansas City Chiefs take care of the
Bengals as well as the Browns, hoping that the Ravens
lose to the Rams. Is this the way Ben wanted
to go out in his last season? I don't think so.
I was. I was thinking that he would like to
go out with a Super Bowl trophy, But now he
(34:41):
may have to end this season in Baltimore. Sad for
Hall of Fame quarterbacks. I'm out all right, I know
Sergio and now Passo. You're on the odd couple Fox
Sports Radio. Who you're trashing, Chris, Rob balt Rob, I
hope you guys had a great Christmas and have a
(35:03):
happy New Year. By thank you, man, and rest in
piece of John Madden. I really did learn more about
the game through the video game. I'm twenty five years old,
and I learned a lot about is it real? Real
talk before you get to your trash? Is it? Because again, Rob,
and I've never played a lot like from playing the game, guys,
(35:25):
one hundred percent. My little brother he's he's in football now.
I've never played it organized, but I played with my friends,
my little brother. Like, just five years ago, he didn't
care whatsoever about football. My dad, you know, would beg
him to watching forty nine Ers game with us, and
he just had no interest in it. Five years later,
he knows almost more than I do, like especially because
(35:45):
he plays it. But what really helped him was Madden.
And and it really dove him into you know, just
you know, simple route names and and and the defensive
coverage is that he really has like a hold on.
And now I can't beat him in a game with Madden.
Let you know, that's amazing, all right, school, Who are
you trashing? Sergio? Kevin Stafansky. You've got to be kidding me, man.
(36:08):
Nick Chubb rushes for one hundred twenty six yards on
seventeen carry. Do the mass, Kevin, that's seven yards of carry.
The Packers. The Packers are practically spent their whole Christmas
wrapping you presents and gifting you the run. And you
put the ball in Baker Mayfield's hands thirty six times.
You can't make this up. And on top of it all,
you actually have a good enough defense to get you
(36:28):
a last drive to end a damn game. Nick Chubb
literally single handedly gets you to the fifty yard line,
three time out, sitting in your back pocket like the
twenty yard or twenty dollar bill you found in a
pair of your favorite jeans, and you decide to throw
it four times in a row. No way, no, how
does it make any sense? It's absolute much sugarnut. I
(36:49):
know I'm a couch coach like other fans, but my god,
I hope he donates his game checks to the Salvation Army. Seriously,
my man, Sergio beautiful. I love how Sergio goes a
whole different persona once he goes. I love it, no doubt, Sergio.
Happy New Year to you. Fernando in Vegas. You're on
the eye. A couple of Fox Sports radio. Who you're trashing? Yeah,
(37:11):
I'm trashing the LA Lakers. Who's the coach? Is it local?
Is it Fitzdale? Is it a tenant assistant from the coach?
I don't know. Is it Lebron? I don't know who
is it? And I still hear all these Laker fans, Well,
who're going to the finals? Stop it? Happy new job,
(37:33):
but well done, well done? Right Mike and Camarello California.
You're on the eye couple of Fox Sports Radio who
you're trashing. I'm trashed by Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, go ahead.
I don't know what's going on with our coaching staff,
(37:53):
but Pat Sherber, big Bangio, get hell out of Denver
man all right, all right, they just like look block
it out. How about That's right? Jeremy and Massachusetts. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. Who you're trashing? Hey,
(38:15):
I'm trashing the NBA right now? The holy you gay
as a whole. I was just watching this hockey game,
right Canadians later. I don't even like hockey. It was
on the ESPN plus the sorry for a Fox start
for the language too, by the way, but I'm done
on the radio. What was did he got? He gone's gone? Yeah? Uh? Okay?
(38:36):
Who you trash and rot? I'm going to trash Chris Boussard. Wow,
you're way too hard on James Harden. You're acting like
a total bum. Stop it, Chris. I think I did like, Oh,
I'm disappointing him. I don't think he's playing any good
or whatever. He may might have not getting the numbers
(38:58):
where he was the only man in the only showing
town in Houston. So it's gonna be different. He's trying
to adjust to make it all work. I think you're
a little hard on them. I really do. On on
James Harden. I think you picked the nets and you
believe that he's gonna be there when the time comes.
But you seem a little hard on James Harden. That's it,
all right, I'm trash and Rod Parker. Look at that
(39:21):
I put away to pop Pa I don't have. I'm
not being hard on him. This is called coaching from afar,
all right, you get it together, Harden. I mean saying
I got high expectations from he is an all time
great player. I expect more
