On this Trash-Talking Tuesday, Rob Parker and Chris Broussard discuss the controversy surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro Receiver Antonio Brown and his recent trade request out of Pittsburgh; Adam Caplan joins the show to give his prospective on the situation. The crew discusses All-Star Outfielder Bryce Harper and the reports that he isn’t willing to even consider any short term deals… he’s been holding his hand and it may end up biting him. With Heisman QB Kyler Murray making headlines announcing that he is now officially committing to the NFL, where would you draft him? What’s more valuable, 30 points or a triple-double? The legendary streaks put forth by NBA Superstars James Harden and Russell Westbrook are also debated in terms of what’s more valuable.

(01:11):
from the Pittsburgh Steelers. We will get into that in
about thirty minutes with our first guest, Adam Kaplan, serious
XM NFL radio insider. He's always got plenty of knowledge
regarding the NBA. In the second hour, speaking of the NBA,
we will bring in Matt Barnes, NBA champion, was really

(01:33):
a great role player during his career. In the NBA
and one of the toughest, feistiest competitors, and he led
the league in tattoos, right, I don't know that's that's
saying a lot. Yeah, you're right, but he had a
lot of tattoos. He has a lot, right why But
he's a good guy and a smart guy. So we'll
have him in the something we bonded today, keep it though.

(01:58):
He keeps it real. And when you're stuff is corny,
he's gonna let you know. People were laughing today. People
were laughing today on Undisputed. I had jokes. Come on, Chris,
Chris kost. I hear them every day. I hear them
every day. Some of your stuff. It's funny the first time,
maybe even the third time, But the sixty ninth time,

(02:20):
what did I say to that? Like everybody was laughing
at Chris didn't laugh I said, I've heard it seventy
eight times. I mean, it is what it is. So yeah,
So we got a big show, a lot to get into.
We'll get back to Kyler Murray, Uh, Cliff Kingsbury. They've
been linked. Klingsbury kind of broke the link today and said, hey,

(02:41):
we're sticking with Josh Rosen. We'll get into that, so
plenty to talk about. Let me bring in my man Rob.
What's happening brother? How you doing? Chris? All good? Yes,
I am all yes good. And if you get a
chance to make sure you check us out again tomorrow
on Undisputed nine thirty AM Eastern and six th the
AM Pacific. And Uh, it's been a lot of doing

(03:03):
it all week with Greg Jenny's and Jamie Micho. It's
been a whole lot of fun. It's basically like the
I Couple plus one on television. And and Greg Jenny's
had been saying that he goes you two guys you
just said like and it's good and he's just enjoying
it having fun with us, and it has been no
We bring fun, we bring the fire, but we also

(03:24):
bring no doubt. All right, So let's welcome into the
I Couple crew because we wouldn't do this, be able
to do this fine radio program without him. We got
Rob g as our producer, Alex is our engineer. Of
course Deb Carson are sports anchor intern is uh what
is it again? I can't butch I'm so bad, Aura,

(03:46):
I got it right, Aura, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, an
capital R. That's what I should just call him if
and I'm good, alright, there we give him. I'm sorry. Look,
I'm even thinking about it all I blew it. I
got it right, Capital R. That's your name now. And

(04:08):
of course, Elijah our R. That's a compliment. Rock him
was the capital capital R. That's good all right. And
Elijah our social media guru, who of course is taking
care of all that. They're all on the other side
of the glass on this trash talking Tuesday, Chris Boussard,
So let's kick some Ash's right, it isn't trash talking
to you can't wait. Your chance to trash anyone anything

(04:32):
in the world of sports coming up in the final
hour of the program. So your takes ready. I'm correct.
You can even trash Rod Parker if you want. Why
would you. I'm not saying they should. I'm just saying
they can't, or they can trash. They can even trash
Rob Parker if they want, Rob Parker or me. Yes,

(04:52):
you can trash me too. And we don't say anything back.
We just we let you go. We let you rip
or any team, any person, player, broadcaster, analysts, whoever you
might have. You have you have your Maybe you watched
the show today and you saw Chris get beat up
a little bit. I'm talking about the TV show this morning,
and the one thing you beat me up. Come on, Chris,

(05:13):
I don't have all day. How long is the show
eight hours or three hours? We don't have time for
all that? All right, all right, anyway, let's get to
Anthony or I'm sorry Antonio Brown. He makes he first,
he tweets it out, a nice little, you know, letter
to the Pittsburgh fans, basically saying it's time. It's been real,

(05:37):
but it's time to move on and start a new
chapter in his career. And then he made an official
request with the Pittsburgh Steelers for a trade. I think
we both you know, hey, it's his right, and he
didn't feel like Ben Rothless Burger has been treating him right,

(05:57):
and he was just tired of being the scapego There
was a story that said he felt like he was
be always the scapegoat when something went wrong, it was
always on Antonio. There are those that say, you know,
a few weeks ago there were reports that he was upset,
and one of the impetus is for his anger and

(06:19):
his attitude was when Juju Smith Schuster, the other receiver
who had a tremendous year for the Steelers was the MVP,
right and Antonio, who led them in touchdowns, felt like, well,
I'm being I'm the one being double teams that allowed
you Ju to get his game off. So whatever your
take is, but what do you think? How you feel

(06:40):
about this, I'm fine with it. He wants to be out.
I've always said if I ever owned a team or
I was a general manager, Chris and anybody who doesn't
want to be there, I'm getting you out. I only
want people who want to. Pet Roley once said to
the Knicks, either you're in or you're out. There's no

(07:00):
there's no half step in and stop. I'm just I'm
just saying he got them to the I'm just okay,
Marv Leavy, let's stop dissing Mave. I'm just telling you
he got him the fourth straight Super Bowls. Either you're
in or you're out. What part don't you understand? I
understand sometimes you give guy. Now, I'm not getting there.

(07:24):
The Knicks haven't won anything since nineteen seventy three. All
I'm saying is his run wasn't a complete waste of time.
But I did agree with his take. I'll either you're
in or you're out. There's no st if you don't
get him out on the first thing. Smoking. No, I'm
not saying that right, but I'm just saying, good deal.
So so Antonio Brown doesn't want to be there anymore,

(07:46):
I'm okay. I gotta facilitate something to get him out,
that's all I'm saying. I'm with that because if he
doesn't want to be there, if it's hard, he's not
gonna work hard. He's not gonna he's gonna cause a
problem a situation. So let's just move the guy. As
hard as it is to give up a guy of
that talent, I think you do, and you move forward,
you move on. What would you give up to get him?

(08:08):
If you're another team, how badly do I would try
to give up the first round. I would try to
give up as little as possible, because because you give
up a first round pick. No, because I think you
could get him without a first round pick, because they
have almost no choice but to move. No. I look,
see that's where we differ. I just think with you
on if you don't want to be here, I will,

(08:30):
you know, Look, to give about. But if I can't
get a decent price for you, then I'm not just
giving you away. From can bring you back. I can
bring you back. I can't bring you back because he's
he's a professional too, and i'm paying you. I mean serious,
I'm not paying I'm not bringing him back then. I

(08:50):
don't know what his contract. It is not guaranteed, i'd imagine,
but whenever it's public, but whenever it's public like this,
it just it lessens his value for other teams. Everybody
knows he didn't want to be there, So I'm gonna
hold out and give less because they're desperate to make

(09:10):
a move. I'm not gonna now now. I wouldn't let
a player put me in a desperate situation. But if
i'm the owner, I get I'm the one writing the checks. Good,
But you don't always have the left You don't always
have the owner, I know, but sometimes you gotta swallow
your pride and take something less just to move on.

(09:31):
I'm just saying I agree with you, Chris, But normally,
like the Porzingis trade was a perfect example, nobody came
out of the left field right. Nobody knew he was
wasn't feeling. I know he didn't go to the Phil
Jackson exit interview, but nobody knew that he didn't want
to be there the Nicks. The Knicks had a good
they had asked. The reason they were able to do
it so quickly because remember, the story did came out

(09:53):
that he requested a trade and he was traded like
that the next day though, because they like that, they
had already had been talking. That's what I'm talking about
about him, because they they were getting vibes that he
doesn't want to be there. And that's what I'm saying.
If Antonio Brown does a difference though his Antonio's locked up.
He's got what three years left on it. Yeah, but

(10:13):
I don't know if those are all. I don't know
how to guaranteed. All the money's not guaranteed, so it's
a little different. Yeah, but I'm just saying I don't
I still don't think the Steelers have to bow to
his will. I'm just give him up for nothing. I'm
not saying nothing, receiver, I don't know about the first
round pick? All right, Well, how how would you be
leary and all of him? Because of his antics? No,

(10:36):
he's a hell of a wide receiver. He's a difference maker.
What do you have last year? Fourteen touchdowns in twelve games?
What was it? He's fantastic. Last year had fifteen touchdowns
in fifteen games. That was a career high. Dude, you
know how many guys are looking for a wide receiver
who scored touchdown. Go look up Julio Jones and how

(10:58):
many touchdowns he had last Yeah? Yeah, boy, I know.
But I'm just saying, Duke, get in the end zone
is what I'm saying. I get it. I'm not knocking
Julio because I agree with you. I'm with you. Me
and Julio down by the schoolyard. I would take him
if I were most teams, but there are certain like
I don't want to put up with all his antics.

(11:19):
Um yeah, if you want to come into training camp
on a helicopter, that do what you want to do.
You want to waste that money, fine, Um, I don't economy.
I don't love the fact that he wasn't you know
he stayed in his own place. The reportedly a lot
of his teammates said during training camp when everybody was
required to stay on a campus or in essentially in dormitories,

(11:42):
he would stay at his own place. You know you're good,
You're not you know, Michael George, do you know that
not time you played for the Jets. I'm just saying,
but do you know when Brett Farr played for the Jets,
he had a separate locker room for the rest of
the team, which is unheard of him football. Yeah, he
had a separate who probably because I mean, but you

(12:04):
know it probably gave you that because of his age.
But you know what I'm saying, that would be like
if you're a teammate, you'd be like, really, you can't
even dress those things? See. I like, I'm a big
Antonio Brown fan, but I think there is a lot
of immaturity there, and it's a lot of stuff that
you just don't need to deal with. Now, beat you,

(12:25):
beat yourself. I don't mind you having a colorful personality
and you talking, just talking, walking your walks, so you know,
do yourself. Just don't record us in the lock room
or when I'm giving a speech that's just for the team,
like junk like that. I don't need, That's what I'm saying.

(12:45):
So I would want to sit down with him and
probably talk with him too, all right, what's your take?
Antonio Brown is available? How much would you give up
for him? Do you want your favorite team to go
after him? It's your turn to speak eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox Age seven seven nine nine six

(13:08):
That's good, all right, little tag team there, does Antonio
Brown's talent making worth the headache that comes along with it.

Farmers Truck Fire Insurance, exchanges and affiliates products on a
l well in every state. It's the Eye Couple of
Chris Brussard and Rod Parker. Before we get into it,
let me tell you something about car shopping. It can
be confusing. I know you're excited you want a new car,
but don't let them fool you. They will hit you
with turns like dealer price list, price invoice. Make sure

(15:19):
you get truecar first, because true car shows you what
other people paid for the car that you want. That way,
you can recognize a good price from a bad price.
So when you're ready to buy a new or a
used car, make sure you visit a true car and
get your confidence up. All right, we've been talking about
Antonio Brown, one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL,

(15:42):
has banded a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they're
gonna be without a B presumably, and Levian Belle it's
gonna be. But that's a big blow, whether people want
to admit it or not. To lose that that kind
of firepower from an offensive I'm big, Ben, I'm not
that happy that that I and I still think they'll
be good. I actually think they should use this as

(16:04):
an opportunity for a culture change. We agree they need
a culture no, I agree, and those two as great
as they were. They had some, you know, but that's
a lot. That's a lot to lose, no question, no question.
But use this to shift your culture and uh try
to make the most of it. Eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox. Let's start with Kurt in Ohio. Kurt,

(16:25):
welcome to the odd couple. What's going on? Are you
you a Steelers fan? So I've been a steal I'm
forty five. I've been a Steeler fan for forty years.
I'm guessing you're in Youngstown or in that area of Ohio. Um,
I'm about you're closing to Pittsburgh, about thirty minutes west

(16:47):
of Columbus. Okay, okay, okay, so go ahead, all right,
go ahead. I don't know what's going on, Fellas, here's
what I here. You know, I want to go way back.
Someone told me about six or seven years ago that
Tomlin was starting rip rap in the locker room, trying
to divide the locker room. Why would he do that?
And now we have all I don't know, So I

(17:08):
just talked it up, but I just chalked it up
to nothing. And I think Tomlin's a great coach. And well,
we don't even need to think about getting rid of him.
But we're losing Bell, we're losing Brown, and I can't
help but think Ben might be some of the problems. Well,
he's definitely some of he Kirk, thanks for the call.
We appreciate it. And and you're right about it because

(17:31):
we had other players right sake. They've come out and
said that Ben has uh. Ben hasn't made the situation
uh as good as it could be. He's added to someone.
He needs to tone it down. I'm not saying you
get rid of him. We've seen him. We've seen him
rip players on the radio right now. Juju did say.
We had Ju the Super Bowl. He said, look Ben,

(17:52):
the stuff he says on the radio, he does say
to you in the locker room too, So that's good too.
He doesn't that, but it doesn't mean that it makes
it a softer blow. He makes it softer, but it
still could be a blow, but still something you don't
may not want to hear. So yeah, he needs to
dollar back ast JJ and North Carolina. You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, JJ, what's

(18:15):
up guys? How you guys doing great? Man? What's happening? Good?
I just wanted to talk about the ab situation. Um,
I'm really not a huge fan of his answers. Man. Really,
I mean, he's a he's a stud wide receiver. He
I mean, he really is. To me, he's a once
in a lifetime player. But his answers, I just I
just don't rock with him. Honestly, Um, I don't see him.

(18:40):
I don't see him being that big of a for
many more years to come. I feel like he's thirty one.
He is thirty one. He's not old though he's not
he's not old. But at the same time, I mean
he's it's kind of close. Like you said, he does
have three more years guaranteed on his sport, on his contract,

(19:00):
you know what I'm saying, So he still has someone
left in him. But I also want to see what
he's able to do without the weapons that he's had
around him throughout the years. I mean, if you go
back and look at it, he's had hogs Ward Um
and Manuel Sanders, le Beyond Bell. Given he isn't a receiver,
but I mean you have to as a defense, you
have to skime for that kind of guy. But JJ,

(19:20):
but JJ last last year without le Beyond Bell fifteen
touchdowns in fifteen game. Right, Well, James Connor did no.
I know, but I'm just saying, but le Beyond wasn't there.
So he's got to get to a place with a
good quarterback and that's gonna be the key for him.
If he doesn't, he could regret this move. Darren in
New Mexico, you're on with Chris and Rob. Hey, boys,

(19:41):
what's up? Many are you? And I love you? And
by the way, sir, I'm with you on Sunday and
then the pus maybe all right, I like to hear
that man's all right, how much one are you putting
into plate? No, I'm just kidding, don't don't. That's all right. Yeah,
he's a first round talent and he's fantastic. But my

(20:03):
point is, Mike Tomas lost this football team, and there's
no doubt that he has lost this football team. That's
number one. Number two. Somebody's going to give away a
first round tick for av There's no way if the
Dallas Cowboys will give away a first round tick Somara Cooper.
Someone's given a first round pick for a b That's

(20:24):
all I got to say. The interesting thing is Amari
was younger much younger, and he had shown great potentially.
But that's what I'm saying, right, and the Cowboys, if
you remember, people pushed back on the Cowboys for giving
up a first round pick even in that situation, but
they were desperate because they knew that they realized that

(20:45):
they needed a receiver and it worked out for them.
But they got a lot of hate for making that
trade for a first round pick. What about CW and
South Carolina, You're on the odd couple, Fox Sports Radio,
c W doing great. Hey, I just wanted to say,
the Steelers really need to move on from Antonio Brown.

(21:06):
He's been a distraction for a long time. It seemed
like year after year it's the same stuff with this guy.
I hear you. And look, they haven't won with him.
I mean they've been good, they're in the playoffs most years,
but they haven't gotten that Grand prize. And where you're
a franchise like the Steelers, it's about the Super Bowl. No,
that's that organization, is right, No, I get it. C

(21:27):
W appreciate the call, all right, Which uniform will Antonio
Brown be wearing in Week one next season? NFL insider
Adam Kaplan has the answer. Next but first let's get
the deb Carson for the latest in sports. Yeah, hello, gentlemen,
how are you? How was your day to day death?
So far? So far, so good? Better now of course?

(21:47):
Oh yeah, it's gonna be with you guys here. Yeah.

Lakers are at the Hawks and college football news are
a rough day for Mississippi State defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons.

(22:28):
He did tweet about his injury, but the projected first
round pick in the NFL draft suffered a torn acls
left knee during training and drills this past weekend. So
that's heartbreaking, but hopefully he will be able to recuperate
and go on to have a stellar NFL career. Of course,
we saw that with Jalen Brown, you know with the Cowboys,

(22:49):
not just the knee but the whole leg issue. But
Joel Smith, excuse me, chance, it's always when you get
hurt like that, well, and especially when it's before the draft. Now,
now that's a big Do we take him? Do we
not take him? What's going on? Well, thankfully it's worked
out for Smith. Yes, absolutely, it's been so much fun
to watch his career. Calgary Flames are taking on the

And with so much going on around the NFL, today
is a great day to bring in one of the
top insiders in the game. It's serious XM. NFL radio

(24:38):
insider Adam Kaplan Adam, welcome to sappable than guys could
have talked to you again. Yeah, it's certainly a busy days.
About two weeks from today we start the NFL Combine,
which is really the start of free agency period, the
early period where the agents meet with teams and so
forth to try to get things done before free agency

(24:58):
starts in the thirteenth. And then you've got the Antonio
Brown situation. He says goodbye to the team. He recently
he and his agent Drew Roseneus put the request in
to be to have Antonio traded. He's got three years
after on his deal. So we have that situation. Then
we have a surprising signing of the Cleveland Browns of
Cream Hunt, which I know they've been on him, but

(25:19):
this is not a position where they really need a
lot of help, so that certainly was a surprise. How
about let's go to the Antonio Brown first. Obviously, you
don't want to keep somebody who doesn't want to be around.
Do you think that somebody will give up a first
round pick or would it be a second round pick,
or especially when he's kind of let everybody know he

(25:41):
doesn't want to be there, it kind of takes away
some of the cloud of trading for him, doesn't it. Yeah,
and the leverage job, You're right, it's it's you've got
a guy turned thirty one this coming summer. Yes, he's
been incredibly durable. He's been in just some incredible football player,
There's no doubt about it. His contract was restructured last year.

(26:03):
They've got three years left. But one of the biggest
reasons why he wants out is there's no guaranteed money
left in his contract and he knows that, other than
the dead money on the cat, which would be from
signing bonus paration, that's the only penalty that the Steelers
would take if they would cut him. So he wants it.

(26:23):
He hasn't come out and said it, but he knows
the situation at thirty one makes it a lot easier
for a team to get rid of you. Despite how
well he's played, and he's been dominant. Really, he just amazing.
He's really had no drop off. But yeah, I agree
with your assessment. It's not going to be easy to
trade it now. Over the last month, some information has
come out which has been negative about him, and I

(26:44):
think that that hurts him. But I would also tell
you that every NFL team shares a lot of the
same information. For NFL security. We want to stop you
information like what domestic violence. Yeah, we've got We've got
the accusation. Okay, all is an accusation. We've had the
speed we had him driving one hundred miles an hour. Okay,

(27:05):
speeding tickets are not a big deal. But you know,
you get concerned if they've ever piled up. You get
rob you get concerned about that. He had the incident
at his the alleged incident at his complex where he
lives in the furniture that was that was odd. Okay,
you have to make a decision whether you understand this
player and his mood swings. Is that from talking to

(27:27):
I was at the Steelers training camp this summer, and
I didn't think there would be any issues coming. But
I know from visiting the Steelers, from from talking to them,
they typically know how to handle Antonio's outbursts. But so
many things that have happened have happened away from the complex.
The issues are not as a football player. It's it's

(27:48):
whether it's through social media. By the way, we're not
we haven't even mentioned at the time that he that
he did the Facebook live in the locker room, which
bothered them. You have to really make a decision. Are
you willing to accept these things? If you're you're not
going to trade for him, by the way, but also
we should mention no, I do not believe they're going
to get a first trumpeck. I never thought they could.
They may ask for it, but they're not. It's highly
unluckily it would get it. And the other problem is,

(28:11):
and this is the difference between the NBA and the NFL.
When players get traded at the wide receiver position, more
often than not, they don't do well because you're changing quarterbacks,
you're changing schemes. Very hard to do in the National
Football League at wide receiver. That was an interesting point
because I was thinking that myself that you know, kind
of for a b be careful what you wish for,
because we have seen a lot of receivers leave, you know,

(28:32):
a quarterback they had a connection with and it's not
the same. How much of a sense of urgency do
the Steelers feel, like, what if they don't get anything
close to what they want for Antonio Brown? Like, do
they just feel like, well, we can't there's no way
we bring him back to training camp. Or is it
possible that if they don't get a good deal, they

(28:52):
could just keep him on the team for at least
a little while, all right, So the first part of
urgency Chris is that on March seventeenth, he's got a
two point five million dollars roster bonus. If he's on
the roster, they owe it to him, so they're gonna
want to move him before that. So that's why it's
imperative when Kevin Culvert, the general manager, is at the
combine in two weeks, he finds a team to take

(29:16):
his player. That way, they could be done with it.
They could move on and just handle it. They'd rather
not release them, they'd rather get something for him. I
think the reality is if a team could, if there's
a team out there, it's going to be comfortable. Maybe
they go up a second round pick. But there's such
a difference. And I've looked at a lot of receivers
that have changed teams. As smart and as smart as

(29:37):
Antonio Brown is, he just don't have that chemistry when
you're changing terminology, and it's just hard. It's much harder.
It sounded like if you look at the NBA. You
look like this. You look at what the Sixers do
with Tobias Harris, a phenomenal basketball player. He just he
gets out there, and yes there's some adjustments because he's
got the Sixers have a great starting lineup. But as

(30:00):
Jimmy Poler said, look, if we're willing to share the
ball here, this will not be a problem. Through two games,
that has not been a problem. You're talking about you
don't have twenty twenty five games to get it right.
And then in the National Football they give sixteen regular
season games. It's really really hard. The most famous case
are we player changing teams that it did not work out.

(30:20):
If you remember Alvin Harper, if you remember, oh are
we old enough? Chris is real old? Go ahead, yeah,
there you go. Well you might want to Tampa Band.
He was never the same player. When you change schemes
and quarterbacks at the wide receiver position, it's very, very
difficult to attain that that level of excellence. In fact,
if they do move him, I still think they'll be
able to I highly doubt they'll be as good as

(30:42):
he was with the Steelers. It's the eye couple. We're
joined by serious XM NFL radio insider Adam Kaplan, what
about Kyler Murray. I've seen some mock drafts. I don't
know if you have one out or I've seen some.
I don't see him in the top ten. Some people
think he is a top ten pick. What do you
think he's going to land? Yeah, so here, Rob, here's

(31:03):
what I understand. So at the Senior Bawl, I started
doing some work on him because that's where I get
to see personal people close. I talked between I talked
to probably between ten and twelve people that I trust.
Almost all of that said, he's not going on in
the first round unless he can prove that he's not
going to be a baseball player. He's not playing a
position where you could be a part time player, quarterback,

(31:24):
and you're going to go in the first round. You
need to prove that you're not playing baseball. And now
that he's done at he's going to go in the
first round. He could potentially go to the upper half. Now,
another thing we should note this is not a good
year for teams that need a quarterback in the first
half of the first round. It's not There are not
a lot of blueship prospects at the quarterback position. This

(31:47):
is a position you'd be better off taking quarterback in
the second round. So this past season, that's why the
Giants were criticized for not taking Sam Darnold, and they,
of course they took Barkley had a great year running back.
But you always take the quarterback over the running back
unless you don't think the quarterback is good enough. Right,
So that's the issue. Now quarterback, it's just not a
high end group. What do you think about You know,

(32:09):
he's been linked to Cliff Kingsbury. We remember, of course
Kingsbury's quote. Kingsbury came out and say it, they're all
in on Josh Rosen. Do you buy that? What do
you think anything could happen there? Yeah, although I think
Murray would be a great fit for Kingsbury with a
wide open offense. Now I think I think they're going
to be committed to Josh Uros and I do believe
that they had to say it because it's interesting Kingsbury

(32:32):
is represented by the same Asian who now represents Kyler Murray.
So that that's that's what you got to be careful about. Um,
that just that that that could obviously when when when Kingsbury.
So what he said some months ago about about Murray,
you know, and now that he's a head coach, you
question it. But they don't need a quarterback. They need

(32:55):
everything out else that was a terrible football team this
past seas than Rosen. Like you said, I mean, Murray
is such a good fit for what Kingsbury likes to do.
Is Rosen maybe not as good of a fit. But
do you see them being a good, you know, couple together.
I do in that they also have Tom Clements, who

(33:15):
is the former quarterback coach and offensive coordinator for the Packers,
who worked several years with Aaron Rodgers. Rosen is more
of a pocket passer. I think that's why they brought
Tom Clements in, who was who was of late in
the CFL. So I think my understandings, they're convinced to rosenman,
look you this is not this is not a market
fold situation where you're going to get rid of a

(33:37):
player after not even after his second year there. Now.
I know the six or situation was different with Faults
because he had the shoulder issue, but you don't you
don't give up high end quarterbacks in the first round
after one year. You just don't. That just tells you
they don't know what you're doing. If you do that
and I don't see it, I just don't see it happening.
Great stuff, Adam, thank you. We appreciate it. I thank you,

(34:00):
all right, see you. Bryce Harper is making a big mistake.
I will explain next. It's The Odd Couple of Fox

It's the Odd Couple on this Tight Shirt Tuesday. The
sounds of DJ Alex tight Shirt grooving moving, the boy
is smoothing. I'm getting ready for my DJ and my

(34:45):
quiet storm. I need you to introduce me. So this
is good. So after you're done with me, that is
that what you're gonna do? A quiet You want to
be a comedian. I want to be, so I'm gonna
I'm gonna be dj A. You're gonna do it the
brow ladies. I know it's cold outside, but don't get lazy,
right bringing you the mellow sounds of berry white. That

(35:08):
would be like yet under the covers with me. Yeah,
all right. It's the odd couple of Chris Bruce, Rob Parker. Rob.
I'm doing this as a gift for you. You ain't
doted in it though myself, but it's like a handout.
Anytime we get to talk baseball, I feel good because

(35:30):
I know how warm inside you get. I just say
I love I'm a sports guy. Yes, I love baseball
above everything. I love baseball. Why is your boy Bryce
Harper and Manny Machado for that reason, not signed yet?
And people were thinking collusion owners to talk around Major

(35:54):
League Baseball is that they want these. Of course they
do want long term deals. Owners don't want to give
it to him. So a lot of people thought that
Bryce Harper would take, you know, with the Giants, maybe
a short deal. Nope, was huge money, no way, no how.
Sin Hayman, baseball insider, very plugged in. I used to Newsday.

(36:15):
He's one of the best in the business. There you go.
He tweeted out that Harper is not even considering taking
a short Good for Hill, Yeah, good for him. What
if he's just asking what if he doesn't get that
ten year, that eight to ten year offer? Then what nothing?
I mean, Henna look at it. Now, here's my only thing.

(36:36):
Here's where I think the owners have missed a boat
on them, compared to if you want to go back
and look at Albert Pools to deal with the Angels,
to say she gave Albert Pools right that deal and
he would go all the way down the list every
time you sign somebody Alberto Okay, how about Robinson? No,

(36:58):
but you can't say we didn't won a championship with Texas.
He didn't go there for ten years? He went there, Yeah,
because it wasn't working out, But it didn't help you win.
But day he didn't didn't have winners. I want to win.
You asking you win the game. Not even Bryce Harper

(37:19):
to a teeniyear deal with it's not gonna hold ye.
How old was Albert Pools when he signed his ten
year I'm asking you give me some numbers. How old
was he? Don't you act like he's the only one
to get at you. That's the last one that people
always point to. That's just the most reason people. How
old was he? A rod was a young And how

(37:40):
old was when it didn't work out for Texas? I'm
asking you, I don't know, you know, thirty two years old?
Guess how old? Not that old? Guess honest, guess how old?
Bryce Harper and many machology six. Yeah, Harper's already been
up this season, already be some mediocrecy, And I was
this is the Bryce Harper fan. This is nonsense that

(38:01):
these two guys at twenty six years old would be
signed and they would have their Why should ten years?
Because they're worth it? Really? Why why are they worth it?
They're worth it? Both of them are playing Rodriguez No
at the chime, I didn't even take you time to
even answer no. But I'm still when he went to Texas,

(38:23):
he was just seventy five million dollars deal, he was
still playing great. It didn't work out because it didn't
make you win, but that didn't even in New York.
But it had nothing to do with a row. They
had to do with that, that team not being able
to afford it. I get know, they didn't didn't add
any other pieces. But my point is both of these
play money. Both of these players are worth it. They're

(38:44):
twenty six years old. They're not old. They'll be in
their prime of their career. You don't even reach your
prim in baseball until thirty two. That's when you're death.
With Pools was in his prime. So why are you
pooping in that deal? Well, because that was the that
was just hitting his Prime's guys hitting this prime. How
about these? You don't hit it till thirty two. I
round thirty two. But these guys are twenty six. The

(39:07):
owners are colluding and it's terrible. Well, both of these
guys should be signed without get sick to death. I
just threw up in my mouth that these guys are
on side. You a lot and pictures and catch you
throw up your mouth like wants the show pictures and
catchers are already reporting to spring training. How these guys
not in uniforms because they want too much money. They

(39:28):
don't want too what they want. What they're wanting you
is this rob I I where I agree with you
because I always like to see players get paid. But
I'm trying to look at it. From both perspectives, and
if I'm an owner, I'm not giving somebody a ten
year deal. No, go ahead, beat the old cloth. Win.
When you can't even sell out your stadium and you
made the playoffs last year, nobody wants to see that.

(39:50):
No star baseball and you got these no star two
biggest stars on the market. I don't even sign platoons.
I'm not trying to see that. I want to see
you want the game of baseball. I love baseball, but
not if you don't. You have to have a superstar.
I have a marquee name. I to have a CELEBTI
did you see so you don't love baseek they like

(40:13):
the hard nuts and something playing I want to see.
Oh yeah right, I'm serious. That's why you want. What
I'll say to you is this what FBA team you want?
You don't even pay attention to the rest of the league.
What I will say to you, teams stop it. What
I will say to you is this the players when
they when it's time for the new CBA, they need

(40:35):
to get out of that you know, current situation where
by by the you're not even you don't get your
controc doubt that baseball players will do well, we'll see,
we'll seek all right, it's a different time twenty years,
we'll see, we'll see players. But that's what they need

(40:56):
to do because they shouldn't have to wait so long
to really get that big time that first big time deal.
You agree with that, that's part of the problem. Make it.
Maybe they can shorten it to us. And if you
give them that, if you say, look as a rookie
or as a you know, as soon as you get
the major leagues first year or something second year, you
might be able to get paid, then maybe they'll agree

(41:17):
to shorter deals. A couple of Fox Sports Radio keep

let's move on to the NBA Rob Last night, I
don't know if you caught it, but I was watching
that Houston Rockets game and they were up. I can't

(42:01):
even remember who they were playing. They were up. It
didn't matter because it's Dallas, Houston and Dallas. And they
were up about fifteen fourteen fifteen with two and a
half minutes left, and James Harden only had twenty points
and of course he needed thirty to continue his streak
of thirty point games. He comes down and it didn't

(42:24):
even look like he was going, you know, like I
gotta get my points because his team just wanted him
to do it. And the game was still close enough.
I mean, you figured they were gonna win, but you know,
you still had the ball, and so he's coming down
berries I believe it was three threes and then got
filed as well, end up scoring eleven points in the

(42:46):
last two and a half minutes to continue his string
of thirty point point games. It's now up to thirty.
That's the third highest streak of all time. Will Chamberlain
had a streak of sixty five straight I know, right,
and then thirty one was another streak by Will, so

(43:07):
Harden can tie Wilt second longest streak and a streak
that no one else in history has ever achieved. U
now we also saw another streak continued and actually one
of Wilt Chamberlain's records broken, and that was Russell Westbrook
who dropped his tenth straight triple double. That's the most

(43:29):
straight triple doubles in NBA history. Will Chamberlain had the
old record of nine. And so what I want to
ask you, mister Parker, is and and both of these guys,
I think we both agree what they've done is phenomenal.
But which streak gun to your head? You gotta make
a pick which streak is more impressive? And you're right,

(43:50):
both are where neither one of us are trying to
pool pool either one because they're both impressive. But I
would take to James harden streak, I really would, and
only from this standpoint. Paul George is having an unbelievable
year and he has help and Russell Westbrook. But when

(44:12):
you look at James Harden and where he is and
Chris Paul and right, Coppella, is he back? Chris Paul's back,
Capella's now He's not back, right, Okay, Chris Paul came back.
God's been back for a while, right, But he's been
doing this without all his pieces together. And basically, you
remember how poorly Houston started the season, Christian, Remember it
was like, oh my god, they might not make the play.

(44:34):
I mean, they were that bad to start. And then
in this streak, it ain't like James Harden is just
throwing up numbers. James Harden has led this team to
a twenty one and nine record during this thirty game
streak of thirty or more. That's impressive, no question, no question,

(44:55):
those are real, real numbers. Yeah, Look, what Harden's doing
is phenomenal. And we talked about this today on Undisputed.
Anytime you do something that neither Michael Jordan or Kobe
Bryant or Alan Iris or George Gervis or Kevin Durant,

(45:18):
some of the greatest scorers in NBA history, you do
something they didn't do at what they do best, which
Jordan was a scorer at best, Kobe was a scorer.
Even though they were great all around players, they were
primarily scorers. And so for Harden to do something that
neither of them did is incredible. That said, I have

(45:42):
to go with Westbrook Street. And here's why. Westbrook has
done something that no one, no one who has ever
picked up a basketball ever in America, in Sewania, in sure, yes,

(46:03):
I'm possible, around the world, in China, in Angola. No
one ever who has picked up the orange round ball
has done what Russell Westbrook has done, which is half
ten straight triple doubles anytime. And you know, Rob, those

(46:25):
numbers that these dudes put up in the sixties, they
were outlandish, right, Like, that's why we always want to
say post merger, since the merger, because we can't even
compare to what we do it do it and mainly
Oscar Robertson and Bill they ravage in twenty five rebounds
a game. We do that in all sports because there
are difference in some eras where God's put up numbers

(46:48):
that you know, don't really but I don't think we
do it as much. And when you talk about the NBA,
because obviously you had different eras in baseball, the the
dead ball era, so to speak, there's a super Bowl
is a you know what I mean. But we only
say that not because of the numbers. We say it
because no, but the Super Bowl has become but it was,
but it was different, but you know what I mean. So,

(47:11):
so when they say, well, yeah, so and so as
the most touchdown. They didn't throw the ball, they had
running backs and fullbacks. But now the numbers are more
prolific back in football. Back then they were more prolific
in basketball for many reasons. But any you you have,
like you, we don't even approach those records. Will one

(47:32):
hundred points in the game, will fifty points a game
one season, twenty five rebounds forty four points a game,
twenty five rebounds another season, Like, we don't even like
they're incomparable. And Russell Westbrook has done it. No one,
not the best minds in basketball, not HB. Brown, not

(47:53):
Jerry west Nobody thought a player, let alone a sixty
three point guard could average a triple double. He's done
it for three straight seasons. And that's why I go
with Westbrook. Here's another thing, right, you're rightly brought up
James hard in twenty one and nine. Great, he's doing

(48:14):
it right, But the Oklahoma City Thunder are nine and
one during Westbrooks triple you know, double street, and guess
what their record is when he gets a triple double
over the last three years. No, it's good because Devin
d two and twenty, because the sixty four win that
was the first, the first year he did it. Chris

(48:35):
is the reason when people are saying about whether he
should be the MVP. I said, no, no no, no, look
at his numbers and they win when you get triple double.
He's not just going to act like it's like he's
just filling up stats and it doesn't matter in the
in the outcome of the game. And that's why I said, no,
no, no no, this this matters. So question the other thing
about Westbrook and people. You know, I was on Colin

(48:58):
the Herd today with Colin and of course he's not
a Westbrook fan, and he brought up Oh I went
off on him, Yeah, because because he didn't want to
hear about that. He was saying the twenty four from three. Look,
Jason Kidd was a forty percent career shooter his best

(49:19):
seasons at UH in New Jersey and just during the
prime of his career wherever he was at all, he
often shot below forty percent. Alan iverson his best season
when he won MVP two thousand and one, led Philly
to the finals, shot forty two percent. Westbrooks almost shooting
forty two percent. He's only a career forty three percent shooter.
It's not that huge of a drop. But what I

(49:41):
like about him is that if you watch him now,
in the past, he would get those assists a lot
of times where he's going to the whole looking for
himself but can't get a shot off, and then he'll
kick it to a teammate. This year, he's actually looking
for teammates, setting guys up, passing up his own shot
to get Paul George and others to basketball. And when

(50:03):
you look at his team around him, Rob, Paul George,
Dennis Shrewder, Steven Adams, and Jeremy Grant are all having
career years, it's because Westbrook has become a better facilitator
and distributor. So I don't want to hear like you said,
I don't want to hear that all their empty numbers

(50:25):
and it just put right, no, no, no, no. I
agree with you, and it's hard. It's hard for me
to put up an argument. I just the only thing
I look at, Chris, when you talk about it is
Westbrook has more help and Hardened doesn't. And it's hard
when you're that guy every night and everybody knows if
we're gonna beat them, we gotta stop Harden and they

(50:47):
can't do it well, and it's like he's running off screens,
not like I mean, they do run some high picking roll,
but it's all the high bringing role usually ends up
still being an is so for him, like he's doing
it the hardest ways. That's what I mean. Right, Like
I sold you know, I'm going one on one and
the way he's able to create space, I mean, you

(51:10):
got long rangey defenders getting a hand up and he
can step back and get enough room for us three.
I mean, the dude is phenomenal. Both of these guys
are putting up. He's the best player lead right now,
means the last three nights right now, you know, he's
not the best player and now, And as much as

(51:30):
I'm praising Westbrook, he's not the best player in the world.
He's not the best player on this team right now.
Is Paul George? He wasn't the best player on this teamable,
you know. So I can separate the being the best
player in the world from these tremendous numbers. But I
do think these guys both this are praise and they're

(51:50):
both going to be iconic figures. So who are you
gonna pick? So you're picking Westbrook, I'm taking hard and
I'm curious to see what people think, and we want
the decision right. We don't call up in all the bok.
We don't want to do that. We dealt with that
with Greg Jenny's We love Graham called them out? Did
we call them out this morning? We're here to give
opinions exactly, We're not here to sit on the fence.

(52:13):
So whose streak is better? Right? You gotta pick one?
We know they're both great. Chris has a Westbrook and
I've Harden eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six six three six nine. I
got it all right. I know you see looking at
this normally you got let me do the other one

I don't know him personally. They they do. They you
know my family. I don't know. I don't. I actually

(54:46):
do know him better than you because I but he
he he is considered family. Okay, But what I tried
to explain to them was all the accolades. I'm proud
of him too. You know. They tried to say I
was hating. I'm not hating. So you sound like you're
going with west Brooks. No, I'm not. Yes, I'm going
with west Brooks. The only reason is because the triple

(55:07):
double matters to me more than just coming down and launching.
I understand what Junior is doing. I get it. You know,
I'm proud of it. But at the end, guys, especially you, Rob, Rob,
You're something else. Man. I just get that a YouTube video.
You and you you you something else. That's all I

(55:29):
can say about you. Man. You I can't even call
you a brother. No, I don't know what's wrong with you?
Wow what? But anyway, the thing is with Junior, doesn't
winning count for something? You got? Both of them are
what you called? What are you saying? Her hardness twenty
one and nine during his thirty game streak and about

(55:50):
winning the hole? So you you got into the best now,
So you went with Westbrook, Friends with Westbrook. Thanks, Let's
go to Justin and ten Ampa. Justin, you're one with
christ and Rob Yo, thanks for the car, no problem, Justin? Thanks?
What's up? Westbrooks got the better streak for the sole

(56:11):
reason that he's winning nine and one beats You know whatever,
Twenty one and nine is three times as much that
I still got. Westbrooks didn't average in a triple double
for three seasons, and now he's finally winning a lot.

(56:32):
You know he was four seed, five seeds. Yeah, but
he also has two seeds this year. But he also
has a lot of help. Don't Can you admit admit
that Justin Westbrook Westbrook Westbrook wins when he's not the
best player on his team. Westbrook can get all the
stats he wants. Westbrook hasn't been winning since Durant. He's
been a playoff team, but he's always he hasn't been

(56:54):
successful in the playoffs. He's always better with that. With
the better player than him, Paul George makes him better.
Make this drink better because he's still have it in
a triple double for Westbrook so far. What about Walter
and Oh no, that's not where we're going, right. Uh,
let's go to Jordan and des Moines, Iowa. Jordan and

(57:14):
des Moine, welcome to the act couple. Hey guys, the
first time caller anyway, thank you, Bud. I'm a millennial.
It's a millennial perspective. All right, go ahead, anyway. I'm
gonna go with Westbrook just because I think he's an
all around better player. Um, it's the hardened thing is

(57:35):
kind of tough for me to swallow because it's it
takes skill to be able to make the buckets. So
when there's a lack of defense in the league kind
of gives me a hard time to release. I think
that's a great it's great. The defense isn't what you Okay,
but Jordan, here's the only thing, and I hear your point,
but everybody else is playing under those same rules, and

(57:57):
nobody else can do it. Greatest thing ever. All right, thanks,
appreciate it. So we got three old from Westbrook, Richard
from West Virginia. You're on the odd couple about making
it four? Oh? All right? All right? Chris is right,
Rob is wrong? Go ahead, No that done? Go ahead,

(58:19):
make your point. Richard, he did something I can't remember.
It just seems like Westbrook has ever since Duran left.
I just figured that might have made a difference for
press book, but it seems like his game has improved
since Duryan. I would agree. He used to be the
team leader. It's a reason the Oklahoma Thunder are doing

(58:39):
as well as they are. And I guess you could
say the same about Harden, and I'm not necessarily they
have other players, but I also do they I guess
I don't even know what it is. I just feel
like Westbrook better for some reason. Honesty, I appreciate it.
What about Denny and Orlando, You're on the odd couple?
Fox Sports Radio, what's update? Both both streets are obviously

(59:06):
they're both good. Um, but I'm gonna have to go
with Westbrook as well. This is a clean, sweet Rob Parker.
The reason Pardons Street kind of puts me off a
little bit because of the way he gets to thirty. Um.
He's finding the way of depulating the referees, especially during

(59:28):
the regular season. He doesn't get the thing calls during
the playoffs, which is the reason why he doesn't. He
doesn't look as good during the playoffs he does during
the regular season. But he manipulates the referees to call
all this fouls which he puts him in the line
in an immense amount of times, which it puts the
defense get fouled. No, he gets. You gotta give him

(59:54):
some credit for being able to draw those files. Sometimes
sometimes he gets filed. Sometimes he'd be lopping, he'd be flopping,
he'd be exaggerating, and so so then the defense what
they try to do is they try to back out
from filing him, and it makes it easy for him

(01:00:14):
to score. So when you shoot, when you shoot like
that's so many games where he showed like twenty four
three throws, another game where he showed one for eighteen
from three. Both both both games he got thirty forty points.
I don't. I don't know. It's just put me on.
How many players can do this, can get the same

(01:00:34):
amount of suns that he gets and the same amount
of free throws and not put thirty points. And it's
just it's I think people just don't like him. People
just don't like his beard because he has food in it.
That's that's the problem. Mark is Sacramento. Who you with?
Little Man? What's happening? I apologize to you, Chris will

(01:00:58):
left funding. I didn't mean to get sword most of them,
but I just have a hard time with owners uh
asking for pick cust and then custing guys in the
back end with the hey man, you get. We get
emotional on the show all the time with each other.
No no need for an apology. Good job, Rob, Rob
is rubbing off there you go, ain't number. That's a
good thing. But but today, Rob, you're wrong. Man. This

(01:01:22):
west Brook, it ain't even close because he's got to
get everybody else and balls ain't cluding Paul George. But
there's nobody to get involved with Houston everybody. That's my point.
That dude's got the ulster green that's to fire the
ball up forty five times. He still get through the
points every day he should west the Westbrook has to

(01:01:44):
worry about everybody else getting the ball, and he's done
a great job of that. And if you play Kate
will Chamber and record, you're ahead of anything. And that
dud's done. You guys have a good without. All right,
that's a good call. Appreciate him having eight old whatever
it was for west None on the ab. No, my
callers didn't get in. They got blocked. Didn't they show
they got blocked? And uh, but you better get on

(01:02:07):
Neil phone and start Texas buddies in Detroit. All right,
we will continue this conversation with NBA champion Matt Barnes.
That is next, but first let's get the debt cars
and for the latest in sports debt. Hey, gents, which
one you think that said hard? Not talk to her.
Don't say hard, no, no, your soul. No. I think again,

(01:02:27):
anytime you can can break a record that was helped
by Wilt this long, um, I think that I think
that is the more significant record because again, you do
need more help. I think James Harden could again. Kudos
to him for being able to have that streak. It's
ridiculous obviously, Um, but but I think that the triple
double streak is more significant. Wow, personally, had Michael Cousin

(01:02:53):
tell you're not drowned it up here? The streak I
think is most significant is the Knicks losing skid. How's that?
You know? Jordan had the ultimate mic drop When they
asked him which string, Michael Jordan, which streak was more impressive?
He says six ring. Yes, I would agree, yes, exactly.
He was just having fun. He even impressed by both streaks.

(01:03:16):
But he that's a mic drop. Absolutely well. You guys
can be the judge of this, whether it's a back
pedal or a truth. Arizona Cardinals coach Cliff Kingsbury says
he has no plans to use the top overall pick
in the upcoming NFL draft on quarterback Kyler Murray, saying
Josh is our guy, meaning Josh Rosen. In a video
from October when he was still the Texas Tech head coach,

(01:03:38):
Kingsbury had praised Murray and said if he had the
top overall pick ever in the NFL draft, he would
select the Oklahoma quarterback. Now, Kingsbury does have the first pick,
but he now claims he was just building up an opponent,
what say you? Yeah, I mean, look, he's got to
say that obviously, even if he's working the phones right
now trying to trade. But I'm and also too. You

(01:04:01):
just can't give up a quarterback you dropped in the
first round and one year, especially without the port. It's
not his guy yet you got a new coach, I
do think, but the GM is still living, that's true. Yeah. Well,
receiver Antonio Brown has officially requested a trade from the Steelers.
Antonio Brown officially posted a tweet thanking Steelers fans for

(01:04:25):
nine years, saying it was quote time to move on
and forward end quote. Have some NBA action currently underway.
Lakers up by one over the Hawks, fifty to forty nine. Actually,
Huks just to hit a three now, so they are
now ahead five to go in the second quarter. Celtics
are at Philadelphia with a three point lead four to
go in the first. Kyrie Irving not playing tonight because

(01:04:45):
of his sprained knee. And of course, your check engine
light could signify a variety of different issues with your car.
The AutoZone Fixed Finder service will help you troubleshoot the
issue for free and save you time and money and
other NBA News. The league did issue us to concluding
that Magic Johnson's statement on Ben Simmons did not constitute
tampering since the Sixers initiated the talks between the two organizations.

(01:05:08):
We'll be back with the odd couple in ten seconds.
But were first a word from farmers. From a landing
on a car to a load of concrete falling on one,
we've covered it. Talk to farmers. We know a thing
or two because we've seen a thing or two. We
are farmers underwritten my Farmers truck Fire Insurance exchanges and
affiliates products unavailable in every state. Rob Parker, Chris Bruce

(01:05:29):
Hard back to you, guys. Thank you. David is the
Eye couple. We're coming to you live from the Geico
Fox Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen percent
or more on car insurance with Geico. Go to Geico
dot com or call eight hundred nine four seven Auto.
The only hard part is figuring out which way is easier.

(01:05:52):
It's Matt. We're coming. We're coming back with Matt Barnes,
NBA Champion. He's not okay, He's not a village yet.
So we can still talk to a couple of other
people want to Sure you want to? Did you text
your cousins? Yeah, the barbershop right now, we got Eric
from Long Beach, and it's more bad news for Rod Parker.
Go ahead, Eric, Welcome to the Eye Couple. Hey man,

(01:06:14):
I'm not a big fan of either one of them,
but if he had to put a gun in my head, man,
a triple double is better than a score in any
day of the week. Wow, I don't know he's I
don't know how. I don't know how. If you ever
watched the Golden State Warriors, are you watching any Fox score?
When you got multiple people and double figures, that's what
the game was all about. That means that as a defense,
as a team trying to defend that, you can't defend it.

(01:06:36):
When you could key up on one person. In the playoffs,
we know that's not gonna work. Even Kobe told you
that's not gonna work in the playoffs. Oh Kobe, Yeah,
that's right. You act like Kobe don't know what he's thought.
I didn't say that, but that, but if they didn't
go miss twenty seven straight three pointers, they might have
won that game. So that's easy to say that. No,
but it's easy to say that, don't get me. That
style is not winning the champion. Twenty seven straighter done

(01:07:00):
ever gonna win when you missed twenty seven straight three points?
I don't care who you are. And they were, I
mean they just like the Celtics. The Celtics did the
same exact thing against Lebron. That team was willie Nilly.
They were making all these plays and then all of
a sudden, Game seven came and they missed up twenty
nine three pointers. Yeah, yeah, you're gonna lose when you
missed that many shots. You can't. A one man team

(01:07:21):
is not gonna win a championship. That's all he's saying.
That's all Kobe was saying. All right, let's go to
Leonard in California. Anything about basketball? What am I doing
on my twelve? Oh? All right, go ahead, Leonard. You're
on with Chris and rob. Hey, guys, just want to
say love the show really well, thank you. Robin is

(01:07:42):
a little harsh on the brothers, especially Lebron. But what
what are you talking about, Leonard? Are you serious? I'm
just saying I'm hard on everybody who about Lebron. Lebron
is a guy who's doing it right. From day one,
living is good, good father, good community leader, good activist,

(01:08:04):
hell of a player. That doesn't mean that he that
he's lost more finals than any other MVP. That's just
a five. Did you ever consider that maybe his greatness
takes a sub team all the way to that level,
just maybe not over the top. But that is an issue,
an issue with Lebron. You're right, but Leonard, you can
get him closed. It's about it's about winning, and you're

(01:08:27):
not measuring his greatness because you're limiting it because he
didn't win at all. But just to take those mediocre
teams all that way his greatness in itself, if you
look at it, I guess I'm a guy who who's
all about winning. All right, here we go, Rob, Thank you, Leonard.
Rob finally got through to a friend in lost Vengan

(01:08:50):
don't know John niney, welcome to the auction. Thank you
for calling. Rob was about to get in his feelings.
We're about to start playing this. No, I'm not in
my feelings me, Johnny, Come on, man, these guys basketball.
He was drowning up beer. He was drowning up beer.
Go ahead, Johnny saved you man, both both in president.

(01:09:12):
But I want to give it. I want to give
the edge politely to Harden because his team was his
team was struggling. This team was dead, Johnny, Right, they
were dead. They needed a savior and James Harden and
the beer came through. And they've got thirty points in
thirty games. And that's obviously it's in president. It's something

(01:09:33):
no one's in a long time and records whatever he's doing.
But the point is everyone knows who the ball is
going through, what he wants to do, and and he
still can't stop him. There you go, Johnny, it's my
man wild, my man, Johnny, there's no I think some
of the college, even though they agree with me with Westbrook,
I do think some of them didn't appreciate the greatness

(01:09:55):
of what Harden is doing. He is doing, the difficulty
in doing what he is doing is incredible. One on one,
sometimes you get a high without hell right, they just
spread the floor and say take him, and he does
it every night. Let's go to Marco in North Carolina,
Rob's second cousins. Would you say, Marco is hey, hey,

(01:10:19):
fellas O, how y'all doing? I just want to say,
enjoy the show, thank you, But I got look the
triple double is a very great thing to do. But
I gotta go with James harden Man just because of
the simple fact that he could take anybody one on one.
He's unstoppable. But I have to go with Rob on

(01:10:41):
this one. Yes, gotta go with Rob on this one. Well, Marco,
I don't feel it in your voice. I do, Marco,
marcol like you just being kind? Are you not saying
it with a lot of convictions? No, he's right, he
knows what it is at Marco. I mean, I mean
Harten is. I mean, nobody can stop James harden one
on and you know what's coming, and he doesn't have help,

(01:11:03):
no help, Kim Many. All right, Marco, appreciate to call.
Thank you so much. Thanks Marco. Let's go to Paul
in Iowa City. Paul's got issues with both of them,
harden and Westbrook. Yeah, guys, honestly, I would take neither
because neither of them is gonna win you a championship
with how they play. You don't know that. Stop saying

(01:11:25):
that you don't know that. I do know that. Definitely
definitely take it. Take my info off the air, Robin,
and let's make a bet on if either of them
win a championship playing with thirty point games or triple doubles.
They're used to just too hot. Well, what I would
say is Westbrook is playing more of a team game

(01:11:45):
like he's got. His teammates are having career years. Paul, George,
Dennis Shrewder, Steven Adams, and Jeremy Grant. See Paul, I
should have taken that JOD two in twenty when he
has a triple double. Should have taken that job at
to Iowa City Citizen and me and you would have
gone at it all right. It's the Eye Couple of
Chris and Rob. Matt Barnes, NBA champion will join us next.

(01:12:08):
It's the Eye Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris
Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern four
pm Pacific. From a car landing on a roof to
a car landing in the pool, we've covered it. Talk
to farmers. We know a thing or two because we've
seen a thing or two. We are farmers under written.

(01:12:29):
My farmers took fire insurance exchanges, then affiliates products unavailable
in every state. You're tuned into the eye couple of
Chris brus Sard and Rob Parker, and let's look at
Paul George. We've been talking about his teammate Russell Westbrook
and his greatness, but Paul George has been their best
player this season and a lot of people want to

(01:12:51):
throw him into the MVP race. Rob, I want to
ask you, I'm an official voter. There's two have a
oh yeah, and I'm gonna keep my vote just like
I know, hey and uh right now, I've got James
Hardens the MVP, and second, I've got Yannis at tedda Kumpo,

(01:13:17):
and I could go with Paul George for third, but
I don't have him, you know, above Yannis and Harden.
What do you think about his MVP consideration, Paul George. Yeah, no,
he's got to be in the top three. I agree.
He's played his way into that conversation, no doubt about it. Right,
This is like his best year number career highs and

(01:13:40):
points by far twenty nine a game, rebounds, eight a
game assists. He's right up there. Four games and then
winning deals is a career high two point three and
like you say, they're winning right, So he's definitely in
that conversation, I'm still with Harden. No, I would still
take hard and I think what he's done, considering Chris,

(01:14:00):
all the injuries and where that team started and how
they wanted to bring. If he didn't take it upon
himself to put that team on his back, you know,
and just say I'm just gonna play my way through
this and do what I have to do to win,
I don't know where the Rockets would be right now,
right right. And I also think and that's what you

(01:14:22):
talk about most valuable, Yeah, and his you know, Chris
Paul is back, but Chris paul missed a ton of games.
Eric Gordon's missed some game. Clint Capella is out right now,
like a lot of his best players aren't there, and
fair or not, and it's probably not fair, but some
a lot of times when you're a solo show, you
have an advantage in the MVP race over a guy

(01:14:46):
that has another great teammate. You know, Chris Middleton made
the All Star team, and good for him. He's a
really good player, but you know, he's not a star,
not a superstar. So Yannis is leading that team largely
by himself, hardened because of the injuries, doing it largely
by himself, whereas obviously George has a part Russell Westbrook

(01:15:10):
helping him out. That's what, That's what that Kobe and show.
And it does mess things up because Kobe and Shock
only have one MVP each and Steve, Steve Nash has
as many as those two combined. No, and it doesn't
make things but it does hurt you. It does hurt you.
You can see what that happens, or they or those
two guys get exed out, you know what I mean,

(01:15:31):
Because and then before you know it, it's Steve Nash
who has more votes. Yep, yep. Now let me ask
you this, Uh, you would not have any who else
you have in the race like you got. Paul Kauhi

(01:15:52):
would be up there. He's missed a lot of games,
he's said, he's been sitting out back to backs. Lebron
obviously is out of it. He missed too many games
and the team Lebron, Yeah, too many games and they
were only have five hundred. It's hard. It would be
impossible to give him, Yeah, I mean, he would have
to do something so astound and his numbers would have

(01:16:14):
to be through the roof exactly do you think that
Paul George's play has validated his decision to stay in
Oklahoma City and not go to the Lakers. I think so,
and and and then and the flip side of that,
Chris is real, Would they be the Lakers? Oh, they'd
be I mean, if he's playing like this, Oh my gosh, right,

(01:16:35):
they'd be right there with Gold. I mean, you know
it's hard to say would, but they would be there
everybody else. They would be a real threat. Yeah, I
don't care if those guys are clicking and Lebron and
Paul George, and then you still have the Young Corps.
And then when Lebron was out, they wouldn't have gone
six and twelve, right with Paul George, Right, it might
have been twelve and six and they're sitting pretty better

(01:16:58):
or even better. Right. I'm with you on that. But
I don't think that this validates Paul George really, not
his decision. Now he's playing great, and more power to him,
and I'm happy, like he's phenomenal. And obviously it was
a personal decision and he did what he wanted to
do great, But I think the only way it validates,

(01:17:20):
if that's the word we want to use is if
he wins a championship with Okay, see, because there's a
good But ultimately, we knew he's a great player. We
knew he was a guy that could make All Star
teams and all NBA teams and even be an MVP
consideration because he was one season in Indiana before he

(01:17:40):
got hurt. So what he's doing, he's playing better than ever,
but the accolades and stuff, he's still you know what,
we thought he was maybe a little better. But to
validate not going to the Lakers, where to your point,
you would have had a really good chance to win
a championship, you have to win the championship, and I

(01:18:02):
don't know if you do but but but I'm just
saying in general in OKC. But if he does it
next year, but if he does it the year after,
that's what it'll take to for people to really say,
I think, man, he made the right decision. Yeah, oh no,
I don't. I don't disagree ultimately, but it wasn't like

(01:18:22):
he went to that team signed and he's at five
hundred and rushing him on getting a law, right, you
know what I mean? It's not that so, so from
that standpoint, it could have been even worse when you
look at it and go, oh my god, what did
he do? What a mistake? And now he's having an
awful season and Rush won't pass on the ball, and

(01:18:44):
then and then that winning No, it's a good like
you're right from that standpoint, just from a personal standpoint,
it's been a good. Yeah, it's been a great fit.
And the team. I think they're gonna catch Denver. Denver's
really hit the skids. They had a tough East Coast trip.
They're not that good at home, Denver or I'm sorry
away from home. Denver is fourteen and fourteen. Away from home,

(01:19:09):
they got that huge home court advantage where they're twenty
four and twenty five. I was gonna say, I'm sorry,
twenty four and four at Oklahoma City's only a game
behind him. I think they're gonna catch them and maybe
get that second seat, which would be huge because they
get to avoid Golden State until the conference finals. And
it's been good for George, no question, But he's at

(01:19:30):
that stage of his career like now, the better he
plays individually is you know this, the more people are
sorry gonna start feeling like, Okay, now you gotta win
the title, right, No, first, okay, the title right now,
you're good enough, you can make all those things happen.
So are you good enough to lead a team or

(01:19:50):
be be in the mix for a championship? And that's
what dogs Kevin Durant during his whole run in Oklahoma City.
And I still go back to that that first year
when they went to the far Knows. You remember that
one game one game two, he's filed at the end
of the game, and that just ended everything, you know,
Oklahoma City. Probably he probably would have made the free throws,
you know, win that game. They were up two old

(01:20:11):
and then that's the end of it. They're young, they
were young, no, I know, and and Miami had the experience,
and so you know that that. I did not hold
that like Harden didn't play well. I didn't hold that
against him. No, And he played well in the if
you remember, young Harden played well in the in the
in the Western Conference, not the finals, right, and then

(01:20:36):
he just fell apart. He was terrible in the finals.
Because I remember watching and I thought, this dude is bad.
Like he had a couple of step back threes and
big moments. You know, he was I mean he's the
make Think about what they had. You know, Casey, you
had Kevin during you gotta you should come away with something.
Three MVP should come away with something. And they didn't
get a title. Should have got one. That's the thing. Look,

(01:20:58):
Oklahoma City, are they I don't think as much as
I'm happy for Paul George and Westbrook, I don't think
this team I don't think is going to win the title.
But yeah, I just can't say that because those two
guys are good. You don't know what's gonna happens as
time goes on. Is Lebron does he does he get somebody?

(01:21:21):
Do they break up the Warriors? You know what I mean.
I'm just saying I don't know until I see, like
how the league, the Western Conference. Well, you you mentioned
breaking up the Warriors, and obviously right now you got
this super team that nobody can play with. But all
it takes a couple more And That's what I'm hoping
for this summer. Rob I'm hoping think if we got

(01:21:44):
one team right now, they can win it. Think if
Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant go to New York, if
Anthony Davis gets traded to the Lakers, and all these
things are possible. If Kawhi Leonard, whether he's stay within Toronto,
Orgos to the Clippers, you still got a contender. Like

(01:22:05):
those moves right there. Golden State is not gonna go away.
If Duran leaves now, They're not gonna be the overwhelming
favorite anymore. No, but you would have Golden State, the Lakers,
Oklahoma City, Houston, and then Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and I think
and Boston still be good in the East, be great

State defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons, a projected at first round
pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, suffered a torn ACL

That's right, Your chance to trash anyone anything in the

come hard and strong and fast, and we'll have you on.
So that'll about be about thirty or forty minutes. You'll

(01:24:20):
We turn to the show over to you. Even if
you want to trash me or Rob, you can't do that.
Don't you know what kind of hours we're working and
what we're doing. Chris, Hey, they can do what. I'm disputed.
They're gonna trash this for all, do whatever they want,
all right. Antonio Brown is doing whatever he wants, and
what he wants is a trade. Look at you sound

(01:24:41):
like a radio guy. You like that? Yeah, very good?
What do you think Rob? Like? Do you think that
he's worth? I mean he brings a lot of it.
He's a great player, but he brings a lot of
baggage from the Facebook live of the team, you know
after a game. Homelin's speech to during training camp not

(01:25:04):
staying in the dorms with the other players and staying
at his own place wherever. That is to sometimes the
attitude on the sideline, growing furniture out of a balcony.
That's the stuff off the field. I mean, he's very
fortunate because didn't they say something he threw a coulture

(01:25:24):
out of mine or something almost hit a little child, like, dude,
you would be in jail for a long long time,
and rightfully so had that hit that child? Right to
throw something off? You know how dangerous furniture from a
balcony is. So you got he's a guy that has
some issues. And now you've got the domestic you know,

(01:25:45):
assault charges. So we'll see. But I'll tell you if
that goes here, I would be willing at thirty one
Chris with his production to be thirty one this summer,
with the production fifteen touchdowns in fifteen games this year,
I would be willing to put up with some of
that in order to see if that guy could help

(01:26:08):
my team. Now, as soon as he comes and if
he does some crazy stuff, you know, once he gets there,
it's like you're on a short leash. I'm not gonna
but I will give him another opportunity to see if
he feels like he has something else to prove he's
still talented. Not the guy was a social receiver, an

(01:26:28):
agent receiver who didn't have any numbers. I'm not dealing
with it. I'm not putting fifteen touchdowns in fifteen games.
I'm interested in that because everybody can't get in the
end zone. I don't care how good you are a faster,
everybody can't get in the end zone. But Adam Kaplan
NFL Insider for Serious XM Radio, he made a great
point that I've been thinking about a lot of times

(01:26:51):
when receivers go to different teams. Yeah, and they were
really successful with the quarterbacks. For all his issues with
Ben Roethlisberg and their run ins and so to speak,
they had a great connection on the football field. And you,
I think you have to be careful in a lot
of cases what you ask for it. They're Antonio Brown

(01:27:14):
is among the greatest receivers in the game, but there
are a lot of talented receivers out there who just
don't have the system, the quarterback whatever to excel. I
agree with you. If he ends up in the wrong place,
it could really be bad for him, right. But the
only thing here I will say to me is he's

(01:27:37):
at once in a lifetime kind of talent that would
be worth taking a chance. Well, how much would you
give up for him? And I told you before before
Adam came on, They're not gonna get a first round
pick because he's kind of he's kind of killed his leverage,
you know, like the Steelers leverage for anybody. Because he's
made it so public, he doesn't want to be there,

(01:27:58):
so I could hold out. No one's gonna give up
a first round pick because they have to move them.
They know that they have to move them, and that
eventually you know, what what is that roster bonus that
Adam Kaplan said? It's two point five million March. I
don't watch in March, but it's it's it's two point
five million dollars. They don't want to have to give

(01:28:19):
him that and then trade them after the fact, so
the time is to clock his ticket. Yeah, that's why
I think he should have just watched so much leaks today. No,
but it was same out that he's asked for a
trade request. But I don't think he's doing himself any
favors with the public, you know, email, you know, Instagram,

(01:28:40):
post and all the things he's talking about, you know,
wanting out. He hasn't been rude recent, No, he's just
you know, and everybody knows it. Right. I don't think
you help your trade value when you do things like that,
you know, because like you said, I mean, if if
people if it was more on the quiet up, and

(01:29:00):
Antonio was just kind of handling things professionally. Um, I
think it might be easier. Don't you remember why we
talked about Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler wanted out. He made it,
got out, he got out. The NBA executive told me,
in the NFL they act out. No, in the NFL
they hold out. In the NBA, they acted And that

(01:29:23):
guy's right on the money though, right he got Jimmy
Butler what he wanted. We'll see if he gets the
long term deal with the seventy sixers. Right now, by
the way, Boston is up forty seven forty four on
the Sixers and the Lakers are knotted at eighty with
the Atlanta Hawks. And this is not an impressive showing
by the Los Angeles Lakers. And and Lebron James has

(01:29:46):
not been himself since he's been back. Now, we get it, Uh,
he was injured, but right now he's got thirteen points.
Now he's got fourteen dimes. He's really playing point guard
with Linzo out. But uh, they're gonna need Lebron to
be yeah, if they're gonna make this playoff push. But

(01:30:07):
back to Antonio, Uh, they're in a dog fight in Atlanta.
They are Atlanta's played better off late and they got
some nice young talent. But the Lakers should be Yeah,
they definitely need to. But with Antonio Brown, I I
wouldn't give up a lot for him either. I would

(01:30:30):
certainly want to talk with him. I would certainly want
to set some standards, you know, as far as behavior
and rob I mean all the off the field stuff,
like what if this stuff doesn't go away, then you're
gonna have to deal with that. You might be getting
a guy that could be suspended or worse, depending on
how these these things no come to play. I get

(01:30:52):
all that. I still think he's worth it. I just
do not. Everybody's worth it when you can still play.
I think that's when people are more willing to take
a chance on you. Well, everybody would take a chance
on him if the price is right, right, But I'm
saying I wouldst would they even get that, No, theyn't

(01:31:13):
get that he's that he's good enough for a second
round pick. Some team brings a lot of baggage. I know,
But but then again, you know, it's not like it's
it's not like you would say, well, if you have
a team and you need a receiver like that, and
could that put you over the top or add something.
I'm just saying right now, So what do you have
some good fits places you think would be good fits

(01:31:35):
for him? How about Levion Bell and a B to
the Jets for Sam Darna What seriously, what the Jets
have some picks? Don't they look? What about I would?
I would make that movement a minute throwing this out
And they've done this with troubled receivers before. Don't get

(01:31:56):
me the Patriots I don't want, don't know throughout Freak
and Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown for Sam Darlads. I
don't tell me what I can't throw out. I can't
throw that? Why not? I don't believe that. I'm not
saying it's gonna happen. I'm just saying, do you think
that could be a fit? Don't know? If took a chance.

(01:32:19):
I mean they took Ojo Sinko, they took Randy Moss,
they took Josh Gordon. I I kind of like it.
You wouldn't like it because it might mean another Super
Bowl for the Patriots and Bill Belichick has to rename
his Bolo stop. But seriously, that little dingy was. That's
what I never you know what, I've talked myself into it.

(01:32:42):
I want to see I want Antonio Brown in New England.
I'm tired of seeing Tom Brady. I'm not tired of it,
but throwing to these mediocre receivers. Yeah, I said it.
What are you talking about? Yeah? I said it. West Welker,
Julian Lleman, Edeman was the VP, Troy the Iron brand

(01:33:06):
mediocre receivers and you're poo pooing him even though he
was the MVP. Yeah I am. He's a good little player,
but he's not Antonio Brown. He's not a Randy Moss.
I want to see Tom Brady throw the Antonio Brown.
That's what I want to see. Are you with me?

(01:33:27):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine ninety six sixty three sixty nine, way in? If
you want or Antonio Brown, where would you like to
see him go? It is my Patriots take totally off
the wall. Become a Patriots homer. No, I'm just saying
I'd love to see him with him. Tom Brady couldn't

(01:33:48):
do no. M Brady can make the most out of Antonio.
I'd like to see him with the New York Jetropolitans.
That's not bad. I don't mind that. I'm mad at that.
The Colts and Andrew Lot. That's another one. San Francisco
is the one we're hearing a lot about. Yeah, he
said he wanted wants to go there. That'd be good
I go. I'd like to see him with a great
quarterback because otherwise his career could go down to downhill,

(01:34:13):
and he's too good for that to happen. So eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. If you want to weigh
in on Antonio Brown or do you not even want
your team to touch this dude? Too much baggage, it's
your turn to join the conversation. It's The Eye Couple

You tuned into the Eye Couple Chris, Bruce Ard and
Rob Parker, and it is a trash talking Tuesday. So
in about twenty minutes you will get a chance to
trash anyone and anything in the world of sports. So
get your takes ready, come correct. This is your chance,

(01:35:20):
and we'll let your talking. We're gonna let you go.
We're not gonna combat it, not gonna be a debate
argument anything like that. It's your turn to bring your
best stuff. For the time being. We're talking about Antonio Brown.
We wanted your opinions on that. So now you get
a chance to weigh in. Eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox, Let's start with Ron from Saint Louis. Ryan.

(01:35:42):
You're on with Chris and Robert Caller. I really appreciate
your show. Rob, I just really quickly you stale lebron
Man and uh, but I do agree with you on
Brady Antonio Brown. You're great fit with the Oakland Raiders.

(01:36:04):
Really why because I believe that Gruden will be able
to use him and the certain offense that Gruden runs
that toonill Brown would be excellent. That offense grew. Now
you you sure he's happy with his quarterback. That's all
smoking mirrors. They're gonna use those raftics they have, and
they're gonna have a lot of picks, and they're gonna

(01:36:26):
spend a little money in free agency as well. All right,
well we'll see. Look, I like to see a b
with a good quarterback. Derek Carr has been that a
little bit disappointing, but I can see why they would
want to replace Samari Cooper, right yea? That yeah, that
makes that makes a lot of sense right there. There
are a lot of places he makes sense. And the Raiders,

(01:36:46):
you know, with how they do their business. Hey, Justin
and Tampa, you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Justin? What's up? All good? Philadelphia Eagles? The
Eagles Carson Wentz coming back from injury. Man, they need
they need a piece for that. Your team that wants
to win now is going to give up a first

(01:37:07):
round pick. You know what? I salivate if I was
Carson Wentz and they told me they were going to
add a piece like that. I hear you. That's a
good friend. What do you think about Carson now, he's
a strong personality himself. But what do you worry at
all about? You know, the dynamic between him and Antonio
Brown A little bit. Yes, I do worry about that.

(01:37:30):
But I feel like Carson Wentz is a guy that
wants to win. You know, he grew up a winner.
He played in college. One every season he played in college.
He wants to win. I feel like I feel like
Antonio Brown and him would get along when when they
want to win. All right, let's go to Isaac in
San Diego. Isaac, you're on with the odd couple. Hey,

(01:37:52):
what's up? Fellows? First time callers? Appreciate it? All right, Chris,
I have to disagree with you. Seeing Antonio in New England.
No one ain't know how that song is getting old.
New England's babies hitting the all these his grown over receivers,
No way, no how. How did it work with Randy Moss?
They didn't want the Super Bowl? Huh? That didn't Yeah

(01:38:12):
that was years ago. What I'm saying is Antonio just
needs to grow up. Stop acting out. I signed him
in the sixth round eight nine years ago. Man, Come on,
just act grow up, Antonio and play football. The skills
are right through on the custom winning this whole thing.
So where, so where do you like to where you

(01:38:33):
wouldn't You wouldn't you wouldn't give him his request? You
would keep him Isaac, Yes, I would keep Really, I
would keep him in Pittsburgh. I actually he needs to
grow up. Well, he does need to grow up in
a lot of ways. There's no question about that. Interesting
appreciate it. Hey, Drew in Florida, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drew? I called
every time it's a Patriot question. Oh but Antonio Brown England.

(01:38:57):
It never happened. They not gonna give him the US,
but it makes everybody better instantly. Receiver, Oh my gosh,
would it wouldn't it? Like it's the whole ticket. Hey,
that's see. I was saying this on the air to
day on Undisputed. What made me really start considering Tom

(01:39:17):
Brady in the Gold Conversation was when I play with
Randy Moss and it was like, if you give this dude,
like you know, most of the other great quarterbacks have
had a great receive. Montana had Jerry Rice, I know,
not his whole career, but he had a Jerry Rice
and John Taylor and guys like that, um, and then
see Brady with that finally it was like, oh my gosh.

(01:39:39):
And obviously that didn't last too long. But I would
love to see him and and to be honest, if
Garoppolo gets any of these really good quarterbacks Bay, I
don't see it happening, but I'd love that. I wouldn't
you would love to watch that? My gosh, I think
that I did wish Green Bay would go there. I
think that would be must see. Oh yeah, the whole question.

(01:40:00):
But you think they they won't do that. Yeah, I'm
not sure, but you're right. That would be Indianapolis though
you mentioned that earlier with Andrew Andrew Luck or or
like I said, even Darnold, if they were to give
him those kind of toys, I would love to see
him with a guy who could throw the front ball. Right,
that's all. Let's go to Ryan and Washington. Ryan, you're
with Chris and Rob. Hey, how's it going guys? What's happening? Hey?

(01:40:23):
I was listening to you, and I don't see Antonio
Brown going to the Patriots just because he's gonna compete
too much. If he with the Steelers, they probably wouldn't
do that, right. The one thing I could see them
doing though, Marius Thomas to the Patriots. You got a
guy that's kind of been missing a couple of years,
but still young enough. He could have something to tank,
just like when Randy Moss went. I mean he kind

(01:40:44):
of disappeared for a couple of years. Yeah, Um, you
can get him our team for any contract, to prove
the contract, and that guy might be able to come
back with the quarterback like Brady throwing them. Well, I
think if you get them any really talented, like you know,
all pro caliber receiver, I agree. I think. I mean
because look, and I don't mean to ripple Edelman and
you know, all the guys they have, they get it done.

(01:41:05):
But you know they're clearly not second tier right right
or even with Thomas, he's that prolotical size and build,
we're very odd and I don't think he's gonna step
on their toes because they're gonna know that they're still
the number one. But let's see what this guy can
do is for us. No, that's a that's a good call.
That's a good call. Yeah, no doubt. How about Albert

(01:41:26):
and Arizona, you're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio,
What's happened to Albert? Hey? Thanks a lot. You know what,
in my younger days, I worked in juvenile hall and
to control the unit, and I was I was kind
of I'm kind of small, not real muscular, you know too. Yeah. Yeah,

(01:41:48):
to have a command on the on the unit, you
had to be strict off the bat because that way
you could always lighten up. But if you if you
were soft at first, you know, then you couldn't be
you couldn't come down. So I so I think that,

(01:42:12):
and you know, having said that, what I'm gonna say
probably is not gonna work. But what I would do
if I was the Steelers is I would sit and
sit Antonio Brown down, and I would do it with
the whole damn team and and and the management and
I would say, and I know, just just hear me out,
and I would say, hey, man, we watch you, we

(01:42:35):
you know, we watch you on the team, but we're
not gonna play you next year. And you know we're
not gonna trade you. We're gonna we're gonna we're not
gonna play you. And you're gonna sit for a whole
year or or or or you could or you could,
you know, be a team player, you could shape up.
I mean, what do you guys think about that? Well,

(01:42:55):
you said it though it's hard. Tom Lynn has been
this player's coach, and we've heard it from James Harrison
and other people that he needs to, you know, drop
the hammer a little. Yeah. So I think, as you said,
how's that gonna react? How are they gonna react to
that all of a sudden, you want to be the
hardcore coach. I think it's harder. It's hard to go

(01:43:18):
to the other way once what you I agree? I
had a coach wants who was a kind of a
player's coach, right, let everybody do that. Yeah, and then
it wasn't working. We were having a bad season and
toughen up One morning he tried to toughen up hardcore
and dudes was just like, come on, man like, and
it's you can't do it. You can go from being

(01:43:41):
hard to softer, but you can't go from being soft
to harder. I agree. Let's go to Joe in New England.
Joe likes my idea. What's happening, Hey, Chris Man, Thanks,
no problem, Joe. We appreciate you. Yeah, Chris Man, I
agree with you one hundred percent. When you were thinking it,

(01:44:01):
when you're bringing up the conversation, I could just hear
it in my own head too. I'm like, come to
New England. It was just just makes sense. You're right,
not only for you know, the Patriots, but also for him,
you know, gives him an opportunity to prove that, Hey,
just because I'm thirty one, I can still ball, I
can still play, you know. But you know what, no
one else will be a good fit. He knows how
to videotape stuff, so he would work in New England.

(01:44:28):
Up two and I wanted to make a plug, but
basketball plug, real quick, Rob, I'm originally from I'm originally
from the Detroit area, Okay, And I wanted to make
a claim. And every time I bring this up, I
always get people who agree with me. And I think
that the four Pistons give me out are the best,
one of the best. It's not the best basketball team

(01:44:51):
ever assembled. Stop it, no doubt. He's talking about non superstars.
He just no, that's what he means. What do you mean, jo,
I did say that. I did say that I was
at the game. It's one of the best teams. But
he doesn't meant without stars, Like, just is that what

(01:45:11):
you mean without stars? I mean, I mean yes, or
you made the team without stars without stars the super Team,
it was the super team before Super Team. Stop, stop
you shoe. They got lucky. They didn't get lucky, got
the Lakers in turn, No, Joe, don't buy the watch.

(01:45:34):
That scary Peyton. We want that team all you was injured,
Cuy and shock red eyes. Chris came in on the
national level. He didn't know what was going No, no,
how what you got? Gosh, we got Homer's calling up.
It's the Arizona Cardinals. Should it's the era, the Arizona

(01:45:56):
Cardinals should take Kyler Murray at number one. Rod geus
Just that's because I threw a little shade at him earlier.
And I'll tell you why next. But first let's bring
in Damn Carson. You do the update better than I please.
All right, well, we will start with a couple of
games that are going on right now, one involving of

(01:46:18):
the Lakers. Right now, they are trailing at Atlanta, Atlanta
up one oh two at ninety seven, ten twenty four
to go in the fourth quarter. Earlier today, the NBA
issued a statement concluding that the Lakers and Magic Johnson
did not tamper with Ben Simmons. The Sixers are the
ones who initiated the talks between the two organizations regarding

(01:46:39):
at Ben Simmons. The Celtics are also underway as well.
They're at Philadelphia with a fifty two forty six lead
with a third quarter just underway. Have some upsets in
college shops. Fifth rank Kentucky lost at home to nineteenth
ranked LSU, a seventy three seventy one win for the
Tigers over the Wildcats. Also a loss for twelfth rank
per Due at number twenty four. Maryland Terrapins won that

(01:47:00):
seventy to fifty six. Eleventh ranked Michigan State one on
the road at number twenty Wisconsin sixty seven fifty nine
win for Sparty, and twenty fifth ranked Buffalo one at
Akron seventy six seventy College football news. Mississippi State defensive
tackle Jeffrey Simmons, a projected first round pick in the
NFL draft, suffered a torn acl and his left knee
during training and drills this past weekend. Receiver Antonio Brown

(01:47:23):
has officially requested a trade from the Steelers. According to
Adam Schefter the bills of signed former Jets lineman Spencer
Long to a three year contract. And you know Cam
Newton is the one who always reveals that Superman s
on his chest after a touchdown, while his fullback might
be the actual Man of Steel. Carolina Panthers fullback Alex
Arma detained a would be car thief, putting him in

(01:47:46):
an armbar wrestling move until police arrived during a February
sixth incident. And we'll be back with the odd couple
in ten seconds. But first, a word from farmers. From
a hot air balloon landing on a car to a
load of concrete falling on one, we've covered it. Talk
to farmer. We know a thing or two because we've
seen a thing or two. We are farmers under written

(01:48:06):
my farmer's truck fire insurance exchanges and affiliates products unavailable
in every state. Rob Parker Chris Russ are back to
you guys. All right, it's Chris and Rob the Eye
couple back and we're coming to you live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. It's easy to say fifteen
percent or more in your car insurance with Geico. Go

(01:48:26):
to Geico dot com. Or call eight hundred nine four
seven auto. The only hard part figuring out which way
is easier. Rob Let's do like Kyler Murray and go
to football. Did that hurt? No, I know it hurts.
It doesn't hurt. It's nothing wrong with it. Doesn't compassion,

(01:48:48):
and it doesn't hurt me. I keep telling Jesus wept,
the one that's true. Jesus, Jesus wept. I need a
cold showered. It's nothing wrong with it. This is the
whole thing is that sometimes Chris, I know it hurts
your heart. It doesn't hurt, doesn't it doesn't. I'm not
what you call it. I'm not. I'm not attached to

(01:49:09):
any of that stuff. I don't care. It doesn't alter
my life. I'm not gonna go home and cry myself
to sleep. Now. Maybe if there's no chocolate caking house,
maybe I might cry myself to sleep. But the whole
idea of him picking what he wanted to do, it
would have been great if he played baseball he picked football.
Why would it have been great? It was great that

(01:49:29):
he picked fall. No, it would have been great. I
just think give himself a chance. It's not this guy
has had a chance to do something that nobody's done,
and that that's it. He had hands do something nobody yeah,
being drafted in and he probably will. Right. I'm just saying,
think about how long baseball nobody's ever done that nobody,
So that says a lot about it. We don't need

(01:49:50):
to talk about his baseball anymore. He's a football player now,
unless he doesn't get drafted. But if he doesn't get drafted,
believe that all right. Any In fact, if some talk
that he might get drafted by his old college coach,
I think is Cliff Kingsbury? Did he not pool up here?
We're gonna get to both of them. A few months ago.

(01:50:11):
Here's what Cliff Kingsbury, new head coach of the Airs
on the Cardinal Ship. I take him with the first
figure of the draft if I could. I know he's
signed up to play baseball, but he is a dominant
football player, and I would I would take him with
the first pick. Of course, he said that, thinking there's
no way he had a chance to get the first
and not only that, and no way that he was

(01:50:32):
going to be an NFL coach. He got run out
of me. He wasn't doing a good job in college
that's what I'm saying. He got run out of that
and he was just hoping to keep his job. But
today he pushed back because now a lot of people
are like, oh, so you gotta do to take Kyler
and ship Rosing out. We don't have that sound. Do
you want to read anything from me? He was. He

(01:50:53):
was pretty what you call it, it was. It was
pretty clear cut, hey guy, and not doing that right.
And that's all you need to know. He said that
they're sticking with Josh Rosen. If I can find it,
I will read it. Since Rob g is moving, G
has it all right. Here you go our feeling stories,

(01:51:14):
Josh having waned or changed or anything I get. We
have the first pick and so there's going to be
a million scenarios over the next three months that are
gonna come up. But no, Josh is our guy. And
I told you this, Chris. It's not just the coach.
You have a general manager who last year pick Rosen right,
and there's no way they could just dump a first

(01:51:38):
round pick quarterback like that and say, Okay, now we're
gonna do it again, because then they said, why did
you pick him in the first place? Did you so
you were wrong on that draft. You would have to
really right. I hear you. But I also feel like
if you really believe that strongly in Kyler Murray, then

(01:51:58):
I think you do it. The bottom line is you
want to be right now. If they like Josh Rosen
and they like they said they did, they're fine. And
Kingsbury is just a head coach. I do think for
what we've seen from him in the past, that Kyler
Murray is a better fit for what he likes to
I just I just don't think that, uh they can

(01:52:21):
put that. Uh it's not like Kyle Murray, it's something
good for Rosen. No. I just I just don't think
that that that's the route they'll do because Kylin Murray won't.
But why I don't see anything wrong but Kylin Murray.
But he's not an automatic what if I get that.
But if you're the GM and you make this move
and you take a short and regular quarterback, the shortest

(01:52:44):
quarterback ever, and it doesn't pan out, you're gonna be
like you drafted two quarterbacks in back to back years
and neither one worked out. You're putting your reputation on
the line. That's all I'm saying now. If he was
six foot four and all the other stuff that you
talk about, and he was like, I can't miss and
it just happened. Quarterback. But like all Ryan Leaf like saying,

(01:53:05):
if they took Ryan Leaf and it didn't work out,
it wouldn't be the end of the world. It good
if in this situation, if you got rid of your
previous first round quarter I just think that it took
a year earlier and went to another one as Josh
McDaniel and the job that he he lost his job
in Denver for trading up for Tim Tebow. I get
what you're saying. I'm not I'm my point obviously, Kyler Murray,

(01:53:29):
whether you love him or not, it's a risk you don't.
That's all every quarterback coming out. But I'm saying, if
my point was just this, if you really believe in
Kyler Murray, like Kingsbury said he does, then I don't
think you let what what it would look like or

(01:53:50):
the optics stop you from getting him. If you believe
in him that much. Now, maybe you were just being nice.
He said he was talking up an opponent and all that.
I get it, and that's fine. But if you really
think this dude, is the cats me out, then I
don't think you you let anything down here. But here's
the other here's the other problem. And I'm just going

(01:54:11):
by the mock drafts that I saw. That's it. Most
of them are probably before there were yesterday were I
looked at him because there's a lot of people now
talking about him. Nobody had him, Nobody had him in
the top ten from the okay, but they got him
in the first round. No, I know, but I'm talking
like Bucky Brooks, I got he didn't have. I looked
at this his a mock draft. That's all I'm saying.

(01:54:34):
But if it was right, But if there was a
consensus that he was the first overall pick, no matter what,
then I think Chris, your point would be well taken.
I don't think he's a he's an automatic first round pick.
Well I again, And I'm not saying they should. I'm
saying if Kingsbury believes in him like he said he did,

(01:54:56):
and maybe doesn't, and that's fine. That's my point is
just that I don't care that you just drafted a quarterback.
If you're not in love with Rosen and you are,
Sayler Murray, then I think you you go with Murray.
But Rosen. Look, Rosen's got a bright future. I mean
he was the guy, he could have been the first pick.

(01:55:17):
I just I hear what you're saying. But I don't
think that they're in love with him like that. No,
with Murray, well enough, not enough to do that, Kingsbury said,
he is. No, but that was before he become him.
To love him, that was you only want to as
to love? Op it We got you know, can we can?
We you can really want the Ais to love. That's
not true. Would you stop? You've been in your feelings

(01:55:40):
all so love? Oh I'm not. You gotta have the bones,
you gotta have the structure. It's my third show today.
I've been working hard for your entertainment dollar and had
nothing to do with Kyler Murray, d J. Tisher been
playing this all day. No, all right, it's your turn
away in. That's right. We're talking about bring it baby.

(01:56:03):
You want to trash me, rob somebody else in the
world of sports, some team whatever? Do it eight seven
seven ninety nine or a Fox eight seven seven nine
nine six sixty three sixty nine. I didn't look at
the paper. Didn't you glanced? But you didn't no, no number.

Talk to farmers. We know a thing or two. Because
we've seen a thing or two. We are farmers under written.
My farmers took fire insurance exchanges and affiliates products unavailable
in every state. All right, it's what you've been waiting for.
The Eye Couple of Chris Brussard and Rob Parker trash
Talking Tuesday. Don't you whatever talking about me? It's trash

(01:57:10):
talking Tuesday. It's a teeth ressing. I don't know whether
to smile. Let you kick a field, go man, all right,
let's get it started. Skip from Orlando. Who you're trashing? Gentlemen,
I'm trashing. Thanks for taking my call. Guy. Can we

(01:57:30):
please all just move on with their lives. We don't
need to You don't need to acknowledge that they took
your call because you're doing their work for them, so
they're happy that you're called and the thanks for taking
my call, guy, who then waits for the post to
acknowledge them while we're all sitting around or driving in
our cards waiting for the conversation to move forward and
we're exchanging pleasantries. Thanks for taking my call. Guy. You

(01:57:53):
are trashed there you go, Wow, you don't want to
hear that. What about Jessica and Virginia Beach you on
the couple? Fox Sports Radio, Jessica, who are you trashing?
I'm sorry, Chris, but I need to trash you. Whoa gohead? Jack?
What's up? So? Um? What universe with the Pittsburgh Steelers

(01:58:17):
ever trade Antonio Brown to the Patriots? Ever? They despise
that team with every fiber their being. I bleed blacking gold.
They will never trade him and help Tom Brady win
another championship. Now what they should do, because Antonio Brown
has just sabotaged himself, if they should trade him to
the Arizona Hotshots in the AAF for a bag of ball?

(01:58:39):
Because Antonio Brown is now garbage to me as a
Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Bye bye Brown? Very nice Jessica good
just made Rob Parker's day. That Jessica, that was awesome
and she's right about that. Certain teams won't walls no way, right,
there'll believe that was great? All right? Brian in Los Angeles,

(01:59:04):
it's trash talking Tuesday. Who you're trashing? You know what, man,
I'm gonna change it and thank you for accepting my call.
I'm trashing Kareem Hunt and the Cleveland Browns because of
the simple fact that number one Cleveland, were you really
got thirsty to get the number? Already turn your turn
your phone down, I mean turn your radio down, right, Oh,

(01:59:27):
I'll turn the radio down. I got you, My bad,
my bad. Yeah, I'm trashing Kareem Hunt in the case
Eveland Browns. It's like, Bro, you got so many other
teams to go to him, like Cleveland really like you
really got thirsting to get that good running back. But
at the same time, you know you got drama coming,
so you know what tonight, good looking fathers. I appreciate
the phone call, Kareem Hunt. Cleveland's about the place you

(01:59:49):
went wrong, bro, Bro, you struck out all right, all right?
Appreciate the Bill in Ohio, Bill, who you're trashing. I'm
trashing Levion Bell and the management of the Steelers who
signed him the big money after he did that video
and a few other things along the way. Just terrible.
How could you blame anybody other than you can't blame

(02:00:11):
the coach, he can't. These people made a choice, they
took him in and Levion Bell. I hope, I hope
to God nobody signs him because I hope he lost
the fourteen or fifteen sixteen million dollars. The whole thing
was stupid, yep. And I think Bill got him mixed
up though, but he was talking about Levion Bell, right,
Antonio Brown first and then Leon Bell yep. Mason san Diego,

(02:00:35):
you're in the odd couple Fox Sports Radio, who are
you trashing? This week's victim is Kevin Durant, but showed
softest of all time. You're the epitome of the modern
day millennial, unable to take any negative criticism, making you
the most finn skinned athlete ever. You've paid thirty million
dollars a year. Suck it up and cruel a pair.
You're a coward, a quiet baby, the most importantly acquitter.

(02:00:58):
You took the easiy out going to Golden State after
losing to them in the Western Conference Finals, after blowing
a three to one series lead, and because of that,
specious change your name to Benedict Darnold, not to mention
that you're thirty years old arguing with kids on Twitter.
Grow the hell up your credit. Your every peace speach
was one Chris correct, but thing your mom was the
real MVP, because unlike you, she's not a quitter. Wow, Fia,

(02:01:24):
that was far Hiya. All right, Rico and Los Angeles
tough act to follow, But who you're trashing? Listen? Man,
I love the show, second time caller, a long time listener,
but I gotta pool pool both you, Rob and Chris.
What I can't believe? Listen, listen, I can't believe you
guys were okay with the league allowing a Kareem Hunt

(02:01:46):
to be signed this offseason. He should be Oh, you
should be away from the league for at least two years.
There needs to be more significant repercussions than missing a
couple of game checks. All Right, you know, Rob, you
love women. Chris? You you got a wife, man, so
you know him beating a woman and physically assaulting a woman. Man,
I'm very disappointed. And you guys just perspective on that.

(02:02:07):
But I love you guys man, great show, Andy, Thanks Rico.
But one thing, Chris, what did I say on Undisputed earlier?
I thought it was too soon? Didn't I say that? Right?
But you ain't think it should be two years? No,
not two years, but I did say it was too soon.
I guess Rico feels that way about Ezekiel Elliott, Joe
Mixon and Tyreek Hill as well and the others. But
good call. We appreciate it anything. Maryland, who you're trashing,

(02:02:33):
I'm trashing to Tom Brady fanboys man, go ahead, Okay,
so I get it, Tom braiding the Patriots they won
the Super Bowl. But the people that got on Rob
Parker and myself and the rest of the critics, Oh well,
dare you talking about Tom braiding the head? He played great?

(02:02:53):
Shut up? He didn't he he lost some games that
was very questionable. You mean it on me? You're the
goat and he los the Detroit You get blown up
by Tennessee what what? Who? No? No, no, no no, no, no,
don't you dare get don't no, don't do that? And
christ and christ Mum, sorry, are you kidding me? I

(02:03:14):
like you, but you turned into a Tom Brady fanboy,
and lord, I just want to ask you pray, oh
my brother Christmas sor to get this Tom Brady forces
from out here in Gene's name. Amen. Amen, Rob Parker,
thank you, Thank you? Rob? All right? Bringing fire? I
like that, all right? Joe in Brooklyn, who you're trashing

(02:03:39):

crushed him? He fell out? Yeah, I was just corny jokes.
