And we know tomorrow is opening Day.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
I'll be at the Dodgers Tigers at the Dodger Stadium looking.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Forward to get up there. I'll be there, Yeah, I'll
be there.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Well, you won't be there. What time you're gonna be there?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Early?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I'll be there like three hours before the game.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
So yeah, that might do some afternoon hits, but early
meaning like noon no, yeah, yeah, so we might not
see each other, but yeah, keep going.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Yeah tomorrow, tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Yeah, and the Dodgers that we know, And we talked
about this a little bit yesterday, but we didn't get
to open it up to people, and we wanted to
let it breathe a little bit more here opening day.
We're not trying to get all sassy and political and
all this stuff, but this is a real story that's happened.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I think it's newsy too, what we're getting ready to
get into because of the fact that the Dodgers, to
your point, accepted that they're going to go to the
White House, and that had been controversial with you know,
where the the Philadelphia Eagles going to go, and you
know and listen and.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Before and the Trump first administration, a lot of teams
refused to go.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
So it's not random. This is this has happened.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
We've had these conversations more than we ever had in
any other president.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Whether you voted for Reagan or not, you.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Went, whether you voted for clar or not, But so
on and so forth. And then there were players that
didn't go to Obama.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
That's when it started to kind of get hmm okay
or not popping up, but it was kind of not
at their rate of President Trump's first is not just
administration people not going to Trump people did it with Obama.
That's where you started to and not to a nobody.
And there was never people didn't go to President's prior.
It wasn't as publicized. You know, you really didn't know, right,

(02:45):
You just didn't know. You didn't really hear about it. Hey,
and think about it. If the team's going and there's
sixty players on an NFL team, seventy or whatever who
get to go and the four don't go if they're
not notable, you know, the quarterback, star, defensive player, one
or two other guys, you wouldn't know. So now with
the Obama campaign or administration, I just say you got
Tom Brady doesn't go, Well, that's Tom Brady and this

(03:06):
is bent Obama by first African American people are gonna
be watching this and you know, fast forward the next administration,
which was Trump's first boom, Now you're starting to have
these conversations. So it leads to the Dodgers agreeing to
go to the White House after being of course in
the World Series champs. And rob you and I talked
about it, as you mentioned a little bit yesterday. What

(03:28):
made it interesting you brought up and it was a
great thought of how beloved, honored, hollowed. Jackie Robinson's name is,
memory is legacy is with the Dodgers, and the Dodgers
decided that he's an American here without a doubt, and
he's you can say, their own because they were the

(03:49):
first person to sign him integrate the game. He meant
so much. I mean literally when they honor him to
this day, it wasn't like a hey once every five years,
teen years. They all the time you go to the game.
They got a statue right in front of center field.
There's a big, huge mirror. I mean, you feel the presence. Well,
what makes this interesting is the Department of Defense they

(04:10):
had to restore a story on its website that was
highlighting Jackie Robinson's military service and this was part of
President's Trump administration, how they started to purge any references
to diversity, equity and inclusion akadi. And so they were
going around taking around so many websites of people in

(04:31):
the federal sites, of people who are in the military,
people who are certain programs, who are just colored, randomly
pulling people who if anything of well, they were first
because they're the blacker, They're first, because they're a woman. First,
because so in Jackie Robinson case, first because he's black
in baseball. But it was a military thing. It wasn't
even baseball. He served his count served as country. And

(04:52):
so you had a lot of let me tell you,
people who don't play. Not all people in the military
don't play that stuff. Because it was a black man
and an Asian man, a Latino woman who helped save
my life, who I fought for my brothers and sisters.
So a lot of military don't play the games. And
which people who don't.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Serve you know it's easy and that, and that's something
they look at and go, wait a minute, you didn't.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Give your life. You don't know what it's right.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
To go over and fight or whatever you have to
do in order to secure the freedoms that we have.
And my dad was in the military, my brother was
in the military, so you know in my family, I
was never in the military, but they were.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Yeah, and it's and they take that serious.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
And at a certain point, it even goes back to
the Colin Kaepernick, you had a lot of ex military
or and you know, armed forces. Say, I might not
agree with him, but his right. I fought for you
to maintain rights. I completely wish he would staying, but
I fought for your rights to have that. So we
say that to say, it's interesting this you know, whatever

(05:53):
you want to call it, the disrespect or the trying
to bring down the legacy of Jackie Robinson. It was
this respects respectful and then like we said, now the
Dodger's going. So it's an interesting conversation. Do you how
do you handle that? And you go do you say,
we we have to So it's it's.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Kind of like, yeah, do you have to honor the
authorstation it because it's the President of the United States
inviting you, or can you make a statement and say
no because of things that might have been done in
this case with Jackie Robinson.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
They hold Jackie Robinson in such high esteem this is
not like some.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Random player or some situation.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
And if I'm the Dodgers, to be honest, I don't
think I would not go And I would need to
hear even to consider it that the government made a
grave error in doing this.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
This was not my doing, had nothing to do with this.
These are some over what I need to hear that
to feel better about that, because I think, you know,
there are things that are worth standing up for and
pushing back on. And anybody who's going to trample on

(07:11):
his legacy and what he meant not just to the
sport of baseball, but to this country.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Do you know what this was like to live here
in nineteen forty seven. It wasn't a pretty picture. And
for a black man to play Major League baseball.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
People to this day really understand that was about as
American as you could beat though, to be a baseball player,
you know what I mean at that time, and then
what he was able to endure and to be able
to play for get you know, everybody's yelling at you
and all the other stuff. If you saw the movie
forty two, which was tremendous, and I gotta be honest,

(07:48):
I watched the scene where the Philadelphia manager is calling
him names whatever.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I was heart broke. It was hard to watch it, really.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
And you know it's hard to watch you know what
that was fiction?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Life was like really real because we know about the ones.
We know how many don't we know the calls that
his wife received, his kids getting this stuff, and that's
why I mean Jackie Robinson similarly to Bill Russell. Bill Russell,
you think the greatest, one of the greats of all
time for many years, probably was the greatest for many years.
And you ever listened to him in an interview. He

(08:19):
don't like Boston. He went through it on he just
gets to the team buys the house. One day he
comes in the house and they put feces all over
his house, you know, and you Bill Russell greatest self
to get that. Bill Russell can't stand Boston. And he
said it. I'm not saying go look at any I'm
watching the new series they got on HBO.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
It's was the Celtics. I forgot the name. I have
to look it up. He looked it up for me.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
The New Celtics documentary on HBO on Max Bill Simon
sis I forgot the name of it. But Bill Russell
was not a fan of that city. He loved the people,
the fans. You know, he tried to be the best,
but he knows what it was like living and what
he went through. I said that to say, if you
listen to real document and stuff about Jackie Robinson, it
was tough for him. He didn't just smile and it's

(09:04):
all it was. It wasn't great and he kind of
harbored some of that for a while. But Celtic City,
that's the name of it. Obviously. I'll say this, and
you know, I do some work with the Dodgers, so
I can't go all the way and I want to
go crazy on how Calvin feels because I don't want
to be tied.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
But I'll just say this.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
I think the invitation to the White House puts people
and pecure your situations or teams organizations because to your point,
we made earlier historically, that's just what you did. If
you're a Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan USC, you won
a national championship, you just went. There's just power for
the course. You're the blankety blank team in the MLB,

(09:42):
in NBA, you just went. And this now for the
last eight nine, ten years of the first time. You
gotta go, well, shoot, well, what was said?

Speaker 7 (09:49):
Now?

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Who is he talking about? Are we good now? Is
everything okay now? And I think them restoring the site
maybe went, well, you know what, it was a few
days it was down, it's up.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
Let's just move on. Let's just try to keep peace.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Let's try to unite the you know, the city of
la Let's unite the state of California is unite this country.
Let's not add division. And I think that would be
something they're trying to do. But I do just think
that has to be disappointing because of what Jackie Robinson
stood for, not just for that team organization, and not
even just for baseball, but for American history and what

(10:25):
it meant for this country trying to move forward and
and bring some equity and unity inequality, and for that
to be the site that you take down.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Was pretty disheartening and that and that's that's I mean.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
And so and for the Dodgers who take pride to
cut deep though, is because that's their God, I think
is about that's why black.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
People in this country when when we're all Dodger fans,
because that was the first time that a team had
a black player on it. Like you could be living
in Cleveland and being brother. Yes, we are now Dodgers.
We are now Dodger fans in his household exactly. And
that's why it's it's very very I could understand if
somebody or didn't want to go or say I just

(11:12):
don't want to be a part of anyone or any
administration that.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Do something like this. It wasn't thinking about it right.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
This is this is what's purposely done as they went
through and just started wiping people off, and for somebody
to actually delete Jackie Robinson's profile. Tell the military to
fight for the country exactly tells you a lot. And
that's what you're supposed to endorse that. I'm supposed to

(11:45):
feel good about this situation a circumstance. I'm a different cat.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
I know.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I'm just saying, as a.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
To me principle, there's there's a certain.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
That I'm going to stand for and I'm not going
to do I tell you this.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
People know this.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
I've stopped on the restaurants if they charge too much
or if they don't treat me right, I just stopped.
You can continue. I'm not gonna pick it out in
front of your place. But I'm not going to patronize
a place that I don't think is fair.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Or or treating me right. Do you do? You understand?

Speaker 4 (12:15):
And that's what I always do, and I don't care
I'm going to do. There is a thing called principle,
and sometimes you have to stand up for something. You
can't always because there's always an excuse. Why, well, you
know you need to do this because you know what.
At some point and I'm rosa Parks, just get just

(12:38):
kid on the bus and easy.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
You got to get home. It's been a long day now.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
At a certain point, I paid my fare too, Why
can't I?

Speaker 5 (12:45):
At a certain point, I'm standing on business and whatever.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
That as simple as that on print.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
That's a principle.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
That's that's not She been riding the bus and getting
in the back and one day she decided I'm not
doing this. I'm not doing this anymore. And that's I'm
saying in this case, I just I would not go.
And the question to you eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three
sixty nine, is it just an honor to be invited

(13:15):
to the White House one that you can't refuse. Or
do you have a right to stand on principle and
decide that that's not a president or an administration you
want to be involved in or endorse or in any nature, or.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Do you just go where?

Speaker 5 (13:33):
Would what would you do?

Speaker 3 (13:34):
We're talking about you, not the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
If you were in that situation, knowing what played out,
would you go just because and not say anything and
just go along for the hour long trip to the
White House? Or would you just say I can't take
part in this? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
We want to have a real conversation. We hope you'll
get involved in this. You know, we talk about everything

(13:57):
here and this is this came up. This is nowsy days.
Tomorrow I'll be at Dodger Stadium. But eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox, it is The Odd Couple, Rob Parker,
Kelvin Washington on a worship Wednesday, stick and.

Speaker 1 (14:26):

Speaker 5 (14:29):
Rob, you remember this.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
You were in the club trying to get at somebody
with this plan. You wan't supposed to supposed to the
plays in the lower right there at.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
This moment, I remember that that was a night instead
of the typical way you put dollar bills in that
we're passing a plate played around.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
They were like, we're gonna switch it up tonight. Stop
it right, that's blasphemy. It is the odd couple. Rob
Parker Kevin Washington didn't make change for twenty Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
No you didn't.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
They were like, man, we short this on this here evening.
We thought the ties and offer would be a little
bit more. Yeah, like you know, Rob Parker, right here Tonight.

(15:38):
and three. They've lost seven of their last ten, struggling.
So Lebron was out back now, Luca been in and out,
the lineup not looking good.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
And here tonight they've had a big lead.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
And I tweet you you know why I said it?
You said, I said the Pacers will make it a run.
I knew that was gonna happen right now. They're in
a close one with the Pacers. Let's get this score here,
shod pop up any second. Eighty eight eighty six with
two thirty left, and they running eighty eight and six.
Are you buying them?

Speaker 5 (16:02):
You doubting them?

Speaker 1 (16:02):
You're saying, don't worry about it, it's still early. They
got time eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. Who
we got se on in Sacramento. You're on the eye
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Sean?

Speaker 9 (16:13):
Yeah, I'll go from another mother cousin Kelly, and my
brother's behind the board. What a Mary, what a breed?
You know we were parting live in these streets of Sacramento.
Man out the park, but we I couldn't help but
call them man because you are already no rob. The
Lakers are such much sugar up all the national media,
besides maybe all two brothers, even a couple of homers

(16:35):
like like what's it called ebraw? Salon was able to admit.
But the Lakers still play no defense. They're still one
of the more undersized teams. They still lack shooting. And
it's just the same thing that's going on in Golden State.
Up here in northern California. The national media needed a
big name, a couple of old dudes to try to
hang their hat on. Adam Silver put in the back hall,
blow these teams up, even though we all know there's

(16:58):
gonna be some playoff bus they'll be lucky to make
it out of the playoffs the playing round. Man, Let's
keep it real.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Who you got who you like this Sean? If that's
the k you can't because you can't tell me they're not,
and then tell.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Me who is. It's the Calves time Man in West,
West in the West, and the West.

Speaker 9 (17:13):
In the West. I'm feeling okay C. I think it's
gonna be a young boy playoff summer.

Speaker 7 (17:17):
Man.

Speaker 9 (17:18):
I got okay se against the cat in the finals,
and I got okayc taking over until the Calves went
in seven. It's gonna be one of the better playoff stories. Man.
Let the young boys get their run, Lebron, Let the
young boys get their run. Curry, y'all need to hang
it up, man, pack you all up, all right.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I'll talk to you in a few weeks, Sean, make
sure you call back. Son show Ray in d C.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (17:41):
What's up?

Speaker 7 (17:44):
Man? We was doing so well. You've been saying Sharai recently,
and I was so proud of you. But yeah, I'll
be serrated day.

Speaker 10 (17:50):
No, no, no, that's my sol I'll take the blame. Yeah,
that's my fault.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
No, we ain't good say that right when I said
the hurt, I'm not gonna I'm not.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
It's always different when any of that high and how
you doing now we're gonna blame her.

Speaker 7 (18:09):
There.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
You sound like my ex wife.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
We don't blame Rob all right. See that's what I'm
Ladies can't do nothing wrong, so set me out right.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
So we're gonna make the Western Conference finals. And this
is why at least the Western covers. And I say
we the Lakers, you know, because I've been alive since
nineteen eighty.

Speaker 9 (18:30):
And as long as I've been alive, the.

Speaker 7 (18:31):
Lakers have always been a thing that's weird. House. People
hate on us, the subjects. They do whatever they want.
They've been trashed in my lifetime. They've won the way
less rings than I've seen my Lakers win. But yet
nobody doubts them. Everybody gives them all these props. Check
me out, right. We got Gabe Vincent, who was at
one point one of the better role players on the Heat.
We got Grian Pitty Smith who is one of the
better role players on the Mavericks. We got Luca, We

(18:53):
have Lebron Jesson. Hayes is playing out of his mind recently.
He has that that dog in him and we found
it when Luca got there. At the end of the day,
they know what it is. There's a five seed. They
don't want to fall any lower because they don't want
to see themver right away. We got to finish getting
right and jailing together. If we's say, in this five
spot right here, we played Memphis, that's what That's gonna
be easy for one gentleman. So we're gonna be nice

(19:14):
about it, and then afterwards we can go ahead and
face them, and I think we'll be ready for the Nuggets.
About second round? What do y'all call?

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (19:20):
All right?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Pretty come out? I mean, yeah, he is feeling When
he was hitting me with all the weeds too, I
thought it was Fritch the way he was. We wi
and appreciate you show rightik?

Speaker 5 (19:29):
All right? Who we got so yah that stuff to
get to my bad. I was excited about that, all right.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
I still believe that, especially if your third player is
Austin Reeves who's been playing out of his mind.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
I still think that you think you'll be all right? Uh.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
They just got to get back to the formula, which
was defense and efficient moving the ball round offense.

Speaker 5 (19:50):
So we'll see if they're able to do that.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
All right, We've got the hot seat coming up in
just a little bit, and it's gonna be.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Rich David some Covino and Rich who I I hate
to do like this rocket. That's our guy. I like rich,
But you know how we do.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
When you come up here, Hey, you're gonna be in charge,
You're gonna be burnt.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
For real.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Well, Chris, come up here. When that smoke, you're gonna
get burnt. So we have that happen in just a
moment right now. It is what's trending with Isaac lowin crime.

Speaker 11 (20:13):
All right, fellas, let's check in on how the Lakers
are doing at Indiana. They're holding on to a ninety
five to ninety lead over the Pacers with thirty seconds
left to play in the third quarter, led by twenty
nine points by Luka Doncic. He also has five rebounds
and six assists in thirty minutes. Austin reeves with twenty points.
He is seven out of eleven from the field. Lebron

(20:34):
James O for six from the field, has eight rebounds
and seven assists.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
How many points? Yeah, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (20:42):
A streaking double digits like of two million games in
a row? Whatever?

Speaker 11 (20:46):
He has a whopping three of perfect three out of three.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Oh, trust crazy in the fourth because his double digit
streak that he has of a ten points or more.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
I don't know the exact number. But yeah, he's will
that up.

Speaker 11 (21:00):
Perhaps he was just worn out from that extensive interview
earlier today and.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Jack's theylloy, how what are you doing it? That's why
you were doing what you're doing, Isaac.

Speaker 11 (21:08):
That's because he's two thousand miles away and is playing
in a game and can't hear it right now. Anyway,
big big guts over here. The Toronto Raptors up ninety
five to seventy at Brooklyn two minutes of the fourth quarter.
The Los Angeles Clippers leading the New York Knicks one
oh seven to ninety one three and a half minutes
into the fourth quarter, and Denver leading Milwaukee thirty three
to nineteen with three minutes left in the first quarter.

(21:30):
Milwaukee without Giannis Antetokumpo because of a sprain left foot.
The Boston Celtics, by the way, have rolled out Jason
Tatum for tonight's game at Phoenix because of a sprain
left ankle. That game will tip off at the top
of the hour now. Finally, guys I mentioned Austin Reeves
a the Lakers tonight twenty points in twenty four minutes.
So Austin Reeves brother Spencer and Spencer's wife Casey are

(21:50):
expecting a baby. Spencer is presently playing professionally in Germany.
So tonight, Austin did a gender reveal for the benefit
of his brother watching the game overseas, based on the
color of the shoes he wore for tonight's game. So tonight,
for the game, he came out wearing pink shoes, therefore

(22:11):
revealing to Spencer that the baby will be a girl.
Congratulations to Spencer and his wife Casey.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Back to you, guys, bobble off.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I appreciate that. And the reason why I say I
appreciate that. I'm gonna be stealing that for the show
tomorrow Morning show. So make sense.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Let me text my producer right now.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
I want to say, you're having another baby.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
No, oh boy, I turned into red Foxy here, don't
do that. I almost had to call for Elizabeth saying
I was like, what maybe, well, no, what would be better?

Speaker 5 (22:36):
I low is the day.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Rob Parker says he has a gender regre that's today
they used to me having kids.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
You I still got a chance. You still you still
have to have a chance. You're taking your blooe heels.

Speaker 11 (22:49):
There's an endorsement deal in there somewhere Rob.

Speaker 12 (22:52):
It worked for me.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
I can totally already see that. Oh God, all right,
do you my kid? Yes?

Speaker 13 (22:58):
Or no?

Speaker 5 (22:59):
I did it?

Speaker 12 (22:59):
Well.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Point I'm asking you today, March twenty sixth, twenty twenty five,
I say no.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
You saying right? Not right now?

Speaker 10 (23:07):
All right, we'll make a bet. Listen, if that's gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
You can't be I'll say this, but he can't be
robbed in near on them all right.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
As a point where I'm gonna be mad at you,
al Pacino, rob having babies at eighty two, eighty three
years trade, So I'm giving you like a how are
you gonna do the mathing to buy my two plus?

Speaker 5 (23:22):
Like cool, I'm gonna give you four more. No, I'm
not giving that.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Giving five three, I'm giving you sixty five is the cutoff.
You go past that, I'll be like, that's not fair
to baby, all okay, No, that's fair ap Patino baby, Yah, yeah, whatever,
never mind, there'll be eighty Let's just you mess around.
Appacino could have messed around, have been in the hospital
with the baby, if you know what I mean, and
she having a baby and Daddyn died, Like that's.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
A something years old. That's not crazy.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
But I could call Linda Richmond and maybe she'll set
me up with him.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
There you go, you know the number five five five
four four four four Yeah, all right, coming for the
tire rack dot Com Studios. It is the Acaba Robin
Kelvin on the Worship Wednesday and it's time now for
the hot seats.

Speaker 10 (24:07):
Alrighty guys, So no Rob g so we got bree
We're okay, bars, I hear you. Alrighty, let's see what
we can do this.

Speaker 13 (24:14):
So joining us on the hot seat today is none
other than our own rich is Rich Davis.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
Rich guy. What's don't be what's up with me?

Speaker 12 (24:24):
Man?

Speaker 5 (24:24):
You're about to get smoked sun you think.

Speaker 12 (24:26):
By the way, Rob Parker, if you have a kid,
if you don't have a kid, soon can buy diapers
at the same time as your kids.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Hey, hey, don't come here with jokes. I gotta laugh
at your jokes and like you. I don't want to
like you right now.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Hey, hey, we can share diapers. Right, she got big
baby food to both of y'all. She's gonna be mad
as heck.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
I know right, I got two kids here, all.

Speaker 10 (24:49):
Right, So I'm gonna lay this out. Rich, you're gonna
have one minute.

Speaker 13 (24:53):
I'm gonna say the topic, and Rich, you're gonna explain
your portion, and the odd couple will respond they'll also
have a minute, and we have three topics. Okay, so
the first one, Rich believes that New York at this
time is now a Mets town, not any other teams town.

Speaker 10 (25:08):
It is a Mets town. Go ahead, your minute starts now.

Speaker 12 (25:11):
Okay, it is currently a Metstown for the first time
since Rob Parker was young. This is a time where
Steve Cohen has put money, resources, The fans are behind
what they're doing. They got Juan Soto over the Yankees,
which is big because what did the Yankees say every year?

Speaker 5 (25:28):
The Yankees?

Speaker 12 (25:28):
Every year, You're never gonna be the Yankees. Well, for
the first time ever, Mets fans got the buzz of
New York. What did Met fans break about in the past. Oh,
we got the best food, we got the best announcers,
Gary Cohen, Ron and Keith. Now the Mets have the city.
It's gonna be like eighty six, Rob Parker, when you
were reporting, when Doc Goodwin was on billboards. This is
a sad day for Yankees. Fans their facial hair. That

(25:53):
was a hail Mary to try to create some relevance
of like no one wants to play for the Yankees anymore.
Loves to talk about the Pinstripe pride and how people
you want to play for the Yankees. I promise you
that's over. It's a Mets town the end.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Rich, Can you stop, please? I mean, here we go.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
In eighty six, the Mets actually won the World Series.
The Yankees are coming off a World Series appearance. And
I hate to break it to you, but but Cohen
has been spending money since he bought the team. And
last year, which team had a higher attendance? Was it
the Angels or the Mets? Which team had a higher attendance? Which, David,

(26:34):
you know what team?

Speaker 7 (26:34):
It was?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
The Angels had a higher attendance than the Mets. No, go, Rich,
go Rich, you go back.

Speaker 12 (26:41):
Okay, I can come into the Mets now, Okay, you
go back, yeah, and he goes back to you. Then
me after you go okay, cool. I listen, when you
look at the Mets lineup, it's Mets. It's the best
lineup the Mets have had, maybe in a decade or so.
And the Yankees. Listen, the Yankees haven't won a World
Series since nine, so the whole you know vibe. You
know the Yankees, the pinstripe pride, that was, that was

(27:03):
a thing of the nineties. And how long ago the
nineties were. In the nineties, we'd have smartphones, we have
social media. Derek Jeter was giving out gift baskets because
no one could track it.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Because okay, rich Man, you my man, one hundred grand.
But I gotta get at you, all right. First of all,
give me your New York card. Give it to me
right now.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Nobody in New York minds what you're saying right now.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Now.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Even when the Yankees suck, guess whose sound it is.
It's still the Yankees, good, bad, and different. It's a
Yankee sound. And I'm coming all the way from Michigan
and also Los Angeles, and I know that. Also you
sound like Doc Rivers. Can I just want credit for something?
We just want credit for being good enough. We just
want credit for getting want So when the day thing
you ain't want it says I was in kindergarten, what

(27:45):
we doing out here?

Speaker 10 (27:48):
Okay, all righty, So I'm gonna go low. Islo is
our judge, Rich.

Speaker 11 (27:54):
You know I love you Rich. I'm sorry, Ilo, I'm sorry.

Speaker 12 (27:59):
Good. Hey, guess what, no shakeshack for you? I love
No shakeshack for you?

Speaker 5 (28:05):
And keep his MinC off Mary. He might try to
change his answer.

Speaker 11 (28:08):
No, I don't do that, laughing.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Okay, what's next.

Speaker 13 (28:12):
So the second one is Austin Reeves would be in
Hall of Famer if he was playing in the nineteen seventies.

Speaker 10 (28:19):
Rich, you're up.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (28:21):
Steven A. Smith has gotten on Lebron James and he
talked all about it with Pat McAfee today. We all
know this, right, Lebron James saying that Giannis if he
played back then, would score what two hundred and fifty
points a game?

Speaker 5 (28:34):
All right?

Speaker 12 (28:34):
Maybe an exaggeration, but I'm telling you we forget evolution, baby.
People get bigger, stronger guys like Bob Couzy, that Matt
Dog Russo, your buddy talks about. He's six one hundred
and seventy pounds. Austin Reeves six y five two hundred pounds.
The ball handling skills the seventies with a bunch of
white guys dribbling in front of themselves. The skill level
was so different. They stunk back then, rich can you

(28:55):
please stop? And you know what they used to do
in the seventies, They actually played deep. It's so easy
to score now. That's why they keep.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
Inflating in Are you kidding me, Austin Reeds Hall of Fame?

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Are you not no way know how somebody would put
a hand on his back and control them defensively. You
can't even touch anybody today. If you breathed on him,
it's a foul. That's why guys like Austin Reeds are
eating all day in the NBA.

Speaker 12 (29:25):
Right back in the seventies they expanded to eighteen teams.
The NBA wasn't even a big deal. You were only
a couple. You were only a couple decades removed from
African American players and Latino players not even playing. It's
a bunch of corny white dudes. I think that we
overestimate the past in a big way. Evolution, stronger, bigger, faster.

(29:45):
Lebron would have dominated in the nineties if he asked me,
he's karme alone with a better skill set, and he
almost beat Jordan. I think we overinflate the past big time.
We're glorifying it and if you think differently, you're on drugs.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Rich John, I have a check rolling around in his
grave right now. You're just showing out the Austres will
be doing that. Let me tell you something. Austirees nice player,
really nice player. I hope he does something for the
Lakers this postseason. But boy, he would have been smoking
cigarettes and going to discos just like everybody else, and
he wouldn't have been as good as you think he
would have been. And stop disrespecting them olden players. Baby,
they're good, just as good for what they were supposed

(30:21):
to be doing and who they were doing it.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
They can't help who's in front of him. They only
can beat who's in front of them.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Now, you almost had me because you brought up the
fact that black people were just starting to get in
the league a little bit ago.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
So you you try to touch my heartstrings with that one.

Speaker 12 (30:33):
Well, I mean, let's be honest, the NBA without without
black dudes.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
I mean I could compete, I loo.

Speaker 11 (30:43):
Despite the great disco analogy.

Speaker 5 (30:46):
Thank you. I appreciate that.

Speaker 11 (30:47):
Yeah, I gotta go with fridge ah shack, shake shack,
back shake.

Speaker 12 (30:53):
Check and ice cream in a metal Why not?

Speaker 5 (30:55):
That's bias.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
That's biased.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
That's biased.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
So it's okay, one more.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
What we got.

Speaker 10 (31:01):
So the third one is that did OnlyFans like kill
the strip club? Like you, only fans killed the shrip
club all together?

Speaker 12 (31:09):
Rich, I got this. I think that since COVID, OnlyFans
has killed the strip club. I went back to a
strip club for the first time since COVID. It was
a bunch of busted chicks. And I'll tell you why,
because young dudes don't care anymore. Remember the whole stigma
of like you're dating a stripper. All these young girls
are an only fans and the young dudes don't care
at all. So a girl has a choice, make a
ton of money sitting here a bedroom making Scandalo's videos,

(31:31):
or dance for grimy dudes like Rob Parker on the pole.
They're going only fans. Strip clubs are dead.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
I hate to break it to you, where itch, there's
something about flesh compared to a computer screen?

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Can I tell you that.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
There's something about it and sometimes you want to go
out and feel something. I'm just telling you, And don't
tell me that people don't go to strip clubs because
I've been them and they're still packed, and there's still
charging people seventy five dollars fifty dollars at Magic City.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
To get in, So you are absolutely wrong.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
There's a lot of couch potatoes who might not want
to go, but a lot of guys still go.

Speaker 12 (32:13):
Hey, Rob, I want to go with you one day.
It's on my bucket list. I've been to Magic City.
I know, white guy Rich Davis. I ended up smelling
like cocoa butter and wings lemon pepper. It was a
great time. But let me tell you, as much as
much as I love it, and especially now that lap
dances are like twenty five dollars, not even in dividends
of twenty dollars bills, I'm telling you, I wish it
wasn't the truth, but it's it might be done. Strip

(32:35):
clubs might be done. Social media is here.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Man, the Coco almost that was so good goes on
not as that was great, But.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
That's not the point. I'm back to you Rich. First
of all, it's still cultural. Okay, that's who Robs point.

Speaker 7 (32:49):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
I think you got a still popular. You got all that.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Matt Cardi b is an A list celebrity because of
what strip clubs that made her famous. You got a
bunch of out the girls who come from that, so
I hear you. You got a bunch of lazy people
who said, I don't even want to go work. I
don't even want to go to the actual building. I
can just turn on my camera and make money. I
don't know if that's official or lazy, but I disagree
with you, Rich.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
I'm not gonna lie you guys. I kind of want
to judge this one. Is that cool? Ilo?

Speaker 11 (33:17):
Could we both?

Speaker 9 (33:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
I gotta give this.

Speaker 14 (33:20):
You can never take off the originality of strip club,
and so I gotta give it to the guys.

Speaker 11 (33:26):
Yeah, I concur I'm giving it to Rob Parker, just
because that seemed to be an exhaustively researched answer.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
On here was.

Speaker 12 (33:34):
It was?

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Listen, I have a massive degree in strip club. Yeah,
I mean I was waiting for you and then they
got this kind of carpet and then the last time
I was there.

Speaker 14 (33:42):
You know, two size, you need to be a stripper.
Like I'm the only fan. Girls are never seeing the strippers.
I'm sorry those heels too, exactly, I'm being honest.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Those wheels hurt in my back.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
I'm just saying this was not on my bingo card
of what we were going to be really dissected today.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
This is why the couple we went from should you
go to the White House to this the strip club? Only? Wow? Well,
rich day, gambit.

Speaker 11 (34:08):
We're in a ram of American culture on the show.

Speaker 12 (34:10):
Appreciate my lemon pepper wings. That's all I'll say.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
All right, Cocoa Butter and Hannessy, rich Rich, We're going
to go to Magic City because they also the super
Bowl is gonna.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
Go back to Atlanta soon. Isn't that a couple of years? Actually,
don't remember.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Yeah, it always goes back. We're gonna make that happen.

Speaker 5 (34:28):
All right.

Speaker 12 (34:29):
It's a date. A big fan of you guys. Thank
you so much for go be with your wife and kids.
I will I'll tell them about Magic City. Appreciate it,
all right, thank you?

Speaker 5 (34:37):

you were out voting.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
We're going with food. So here's the list. Now.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
The funny part is I low you're in on this,
So pay attention to my brother. I don't know your
food palette, Isaac. I know Rob's. I sit next to
him every day. Okay, very ballpark food guy. Mix in
some lamb chops and you're good to go. Bree, surprise me,
she's ballpark food girl. I thought that she had a
different palette. She tried to spice it up a little

(37:03):
bit later and came back. Mary Mac think yours is
a little diverse. Your palette you're real. Yeah, I say
that to say I'm setting it up because yes, we
know hot dogs, Yes we know burgers, a ballpark food. Well,
they got some new items that are mixing it up
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Are you ready for the list?

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Here we go, Chicken Katsu Club, put strawmy burger and
I'm giving Usually we do five and give you all
six and a half barbecue platter. We know that ain't
going Look at Rob, he just had ribs right now.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
Korean Fried chicken bowl.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Now, I don't know what a home run platter is,
so maybe that's the one will drop because I don't
know what they just called a home run platter. And
then the last one, Robed, This is right up your ally.
The Slugger. Sixteen inch hot dog, you're in heaven. The slugger,
you're in heaven. Just take the bun off, cut it
in half. You're good to go. What's the difference sixteen inch?
What's the difference you did twelve you left? There's too

(37:57):
many jokes when you just so? Can we gotta tread
lightly on this?

Speaker 5 (38:00):
Okay? There's just sitting there available, so I will read
the list again. I love get ready.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Chicken Katsu Club, but strawmi Berger barbecue platter, Korean fried
chicken bowl, and the Slugger, which is a sixteen inch
hot dog.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
One's gotta go, I low.

Speaker 11 (38:22):
Oh, one's gotta go, like you listen, don't No. I
thought it was whether we liked it or not.

Speaker 5 (38:29):
No one has to go. You want to come back
to you, I'll come back to it.

Speaker 11 (38:31):
One quick clarification question. Are you paying or am I?

Speaker 5 (38:35):
I'll pay?

Speaker 11 (38:36):
Okay, then yes to all, but go.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Ahead, I will play you think about that? Bring me
take go ahead? You want to go first?

Speaker 3 (38:41):
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (38:41):
Rob?

Speaker 5 (38:41):
Do you guys are really thinking about this? All right?
Which one has to go?

Speaker 7 (38:44):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Fried chicken dish?

Speaker 4 (38:46):
But Korean fried chickens on the yes, because I already
know that it's probably chopped up fried chicken.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
I'd like to handle my pieces.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Now.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Koreans can fry from chicken, don't they?

Speaker 3 (38:57):
I know, But I'm just saying I'd rather have traditional
like you want to know what you mean?

Speaker 4 (39:01):
Like?

Speaker 5 (39:01):
The ppe is not. I don't want to.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
Chopped up dice dump over my meal. So I'm gonna
I'm gonna pass on the fried chicken Marry Mac.

Speaker 8 (39:08):
I'm vegetarian, so I can't have any of that stuff.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
But just pretend you weren't. How long were you? You
weren't your whole life?

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Right?

Speaker 1 (39:15):
So okay, pre vegetarian merry days, Okay, play long.

Speaker 14 (39:19):
Ones, gotta go. I'm not gonna throw it the chicken katsu,
the chicken Katsu club, and so sorry to my Japanese people.

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Don't lay you that.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
Sound fire to me, all right, get your eyebrows, un
froul them, pick nagg it.

Speaker 13 (39:32):
I was gonna do the chicken katsou club too, because
I love chicken katsu, but I want it with the
rice and the curry.

Speaker 10 (39:37):
I don't need it in a bread like. I just
like club sandwiches by itself.

Speaker 5 (39:41):
So what is that a chicken cats away? It's the
way it's fried.

Speaker 14 (39:44):
It's like it's like thin lea slice, and then they
put it like and then they save it with rice eggs, and.

Speaker 10 (39:50):
Then it's on the Texas toast with a QP.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Male.

Speaker 11 (39:53):
And you convinced me by the way, I'm afraid the
cheap best of all this stuff is nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Wow, listen, don't worry about that. Your Pan'll call me
Daddy big Bucks for no reason. I Loo, stay focused.
Which one's gotta go.

Speaker 11 (40:08):
I this is not because it's bad, because the rest
of everything is so good. I'm going to x out
the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. I really got my eye
on that pastrami burger for sure. And the barbecue platter.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Yeah, you and Rob hanging out right now with the
non Korean Fried Chicken bowl for your boy. The Korean
