Speaker 1 (02:20):
He is Elvin Wasson. Man. I wish it wasn't as
Patrick said, it wasn't exactly the Magic City Monday. I
was necessarily looking forward to today about it thirty minutes ago.
Hello doctors, miles friend, please, why is that one? I
just need twenty seconds so I can Sometimes you gotta
release and look at well that's the problem. So long

(02:45):
story short, getting out the car. Imagine this happy birthday
to my stepfather Wade. All right, happy birthday, signing him
with the wife, with mother, Get under the parking struction.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
You're here.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Obviously, reception gets a little fuzzy. Thankfully, got cut my
phone off because as I'm walking around the hall, call
him once I get in the daylight, and I've been
the corner and someone's entire package and I don't mean
Amazon Prime is all out and he's just letting the
year and go everywhere, and I mean there's no hands,

(03:15):
just just and it was not the best. I don't
even know what to say. And I've been the corner
and my I'm like, this is not happening in real life.
And he's just screaming out, you know. They're like, hey,
you can't what's going on with him? And he's like
I was on the rain, I was, and.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
He just Calvin, there's no way you mean outside of
this building. Oh, I mean at the elevator in the
middle of foot traffic.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
From us.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
But but I mean, you know you've been Let's say
you're not going in the elevation, you go to the.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Know the elevators are, you know where the pay machine
is right there. I've been the corner, Hello, darkness. Was
it the old guy who just couldn't That's the thing
I was thinking. It was, you know, Oh, I know
what you mean, but A never, I don't even do
this anymore because you know, it's not a judging like
you kind of think, you know, I see somebody, You're like, Okay,
they look like they're really going through it. Yeah, Like

(04:06):
he didn't look like that.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
That's what I'm saying, Like, that's what I would think,
Like maybe he's in a pickle and he gets hold.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
It and he's just got to and hold it, you
Wiland right now, and he's he's going to rob you
Wiland right now? You think pickles and holding it?

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah, we can move on. But that was just not
the Magic City. I mean, I've been the corner. I
mean it was just full on everything out and it
was like, am I in a dream right now? Is
Rob Parker pranking me right now? The little gig yuh
So we hope that's not the sound I'm just saying. Yeah,
So continuing, I'm here though, ready to work. Just do

(04:43):
a little hop when you go to your car today,
just just hop over that a little areas jump over that.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Okay, Well, let's welcome in the Odd Couple crew, because
you wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without them.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Alex is our engineer, of course, Rob.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
It all makes sense now, is I was just walking
up they were mopping the floor and I was like,
what are you guys mopping?

Speaker 7 (05:03):
Like, oh, just cleaning.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, And wow, it was a real moment that I
didn't anticipate in my Magic City Monday, I.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Can imagine Patrick is our producer. Hi guys sitting in
for Rob g I know. And uh, Steve de Seger's
at Stanker desk. He'll keep us updated throughout the programing
sports not that yes, And of course Elijah, Elijah is

(05:34):
our social media guru, and Elijah will take care of
all that on the social media, doesn't.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
All right, let's let's go here and.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
We're just gonna get into it and then we'll also
we will preview the National Championship game a little bit.
I mean, obviously it's Florida and Houston, and we saw
some bad basketball at the end and and and I
mean you can look at it too way and I
get it. It's your huge take.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
You know. You know you're saying, man, look at what
we did.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
We came back, we never gave up, and uh you
know we we we got our way into the National
Championship down by uh six points with fifty five seconds
to go. Yeah, and Duke couldn't get the ball in bounds.
I mean, like just a comedy of errors. And then
if you look at if your Duke, you're like, we
blew a golden opportunity.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
They were right there.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
You talk about up by six with the ball right
and fifty five seconds, that's that's ball game.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, you notice, and you and they got the ball
to who you'd wanted to. It wasn't like some random
guy you take a tough shot right. And here's the
other thing.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
There's no other way of looking at it other than
that Duke choke. It was a major choke job. You
want to talk about the over the back call, please,
you want to talk about before you bring that up,
how about the two field goals in the last thirteen minutes,
how about all the miss free throws?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Like, that's what I'm looking at.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
You don't want to put yourself in a situation where
one call by a referee when you have a game
in hand, you're up by fourteen in the second half,
put that game away.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
It was a major choke job.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
And I know a lot of people all over college
basketball America we're thrilled because they hate Duke. And there
was another reason I hate Duke. What'd you see, that's
why I saw a choke Joah.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I actually it was a perfect timing watching the game,
dip out to go catch it at the ball, walk
in and they're down like twelve, and I walk in
pretty much at where you're thinking, Oh, it's pretty much
a rap, you know. And when I tell you I
thought about this, and I have to give credit to
Houston because your mind goes, all, right, well, we could

(07:53):
be out of this thing. They've got the best player,
arguably in college basketball. They've got just the momentum of
being Duke behind them. You know, where our offense had
been struggling for this whole game. They didn't look good.
They were forcing shots they didn't have. You can see
the polar opposite of the two teams. Duke's moving the ball,
Duke's getting good shots, swinging it, working within their offense.

(08:14):
And obviously we have a big time guy in Cooper
Flag if you're Duke, Houston was getting tight forcing it,
one guy dribbling the whole shot clock, shooting bad shots.
But then they locked in and said, you know what
gets us here, athleticism, high intensity defense. You know, all
the videos came out and showed them what they do
in practice. Every guy runs a five minute mile and

(08:35):
all that, and that's what they did, and they forced
the hand of Duke, and Duke got they did get tight.
But I think really more than anything, they just start
getting offensive rebounds. They being Houston, they just start getting
the putbacks and they're just tenacity overtook the game. You
start to look at nine to zero run during the

(08:57):
stretch of thirty three seconds. That's crazy. And they closed
the game twenty five and eight, and it was at
one point when doing a ninety eight point seventeen percent
chance of one. But they only made two field goals.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Is what I'm trying to say is like you can
look at it up the I'm just saying over the
back on.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Fly that was that wasn't the way, that was not
the game. If you're looking at that calling at the game.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Two field goals you just brought it up was the
final twenty five day, So that tells you you only
had two field goals. They missed free throws. You know
you can't miss free throws, and then they turned it
over going to the baseline a couple of times. But
the reason why I'm not mad if someone says that
they choked. But for me, those turnovers were caused by
great defense. They were shutting them all up on the basement,

(09:43):
but they weren't. But they weren't ready for what was
to ensue. To me, that's coaching, like like, you can't
tell me that you're shocked that they're giving pressure on
the inbound like well like right, like that that's to
be expected.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
But you know what we saw to up we saw
the difference between a bunch of young guys and a
bunch of grizzled, veteran older guys. And that was something
we saw because throughout this tournament we've been seeing those
older teams. We've been joking about it. These are twenty two,
twenty three. You've heard me say, Man, I know I
went to high school with that kid. But we saw
a little difference there. Houston a little bit, older guys,

(10:21):
a little more grizzled, a little more. You know, we've
been through like as far as we can play in
these this tough environment, and people forget Kelvin Sampson has
won more tournament games in the last decade than anyone else.
So you know, again this isn't like obviously we talked
about Cinderella never makes the dance when it really comes
down to it. This was a team that'd been ready
for war, if you will, and uh, Duke got a

(10:43):
couple of looks, David, but I'm sure they wish they
had back a Cooper flag. Notwithstanding that one, you know,
right up in the pain kind of turn around that
and I'm sure he feels like if I get that
a short oneah, the short one. It was sure, yep,
you give me that ten times seven.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
That's sometimes tight, clinch up a little bit, and then
all of a sudden you shot it just to lose short.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
That is a sign. I mean that's what. Cheeks were clinched.
I'm not gonna lie. The cheeks were clinched. But I
look at the overall last you know, if you want
to say five minutes of that game, I'm in favor
of saying, Houston went out there and snatched that thing,
give me this game, give me your heart versus just
ultimately collapsing.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
But you're talking about the ninety eight percent chance of
winning that game. That that's where a choke is involved,
because you gotta be able to inbound the ball. Okay,
let them fail you, whatever it is, make your free throw.
You gotta do that. That's that's the part of ceiling
games or winning.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
And I get it. I'm not.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
I pick Houston in the Fox Sports Radio bracket. I'm
number three, boy three, I'm number three, and I'm the
only one with Houston. If they win to day, I
win the whole thing. I think Doug and Plank right
or ahead of me Plank and then Doug. But I'm third,
and I think Plank and Doug picked Florida.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Guess who just does not need you to win?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
You?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Oh, that's okay, because he's the college basketball coach and
I'm just never gonna hear it right, I'm going to
be coming college basketball since nineteen eighty six. He is gonna,
let me tell you something right now, he is going
to block you on everything because you're gonna find a
way to bring it up a million times until next
March until we have will I will definitely bring it up. Yeah,

(12:20):
no offens or but but yeah, So for me, I'm
not mad if somebody says it choke, that's kind of
the sitting there. It's like, boom, they choked. I just
thought Houston didn't give up. Houston could have been like, man,
the crowd's going crazy. It's Duke. They're the Blue Devils.
This is what they do. I guess it's just not
meant for us to go. We're never gonna make it.
We're never gonna win a title. Man, it's the curse.

(12:41):
You know. You had to curse with the Cougars, with
the fly Slamm of jama Maybe Houston just cursed. And
I'd love the way they fought back. So I give
a lot of credit to Kelvin Sampson that team and
the way they pushed through because they got have flashbacks
of Clyde and the teams sitting there. Well, let's hear
it from people.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Let's let people jump in here on the couple on
this Magic City Monday. Was it a choke job? Was
it a collapse or was it all about Houston. There's
a problem Houston, because we had a problem. They caused
the problem.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
We are problem. And the Dukie the Dukies Kirk dookie themselves.
That's what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
They sure did eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven, seven, nine, nine, six sixty three sixty nine.
This was a colossal, big time choke job. Yeah, that's
all it was. Then they manned up. They choked. We'll
do that big time eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox It is the Odd Couple on The Magic City Monday,

And then the big game Houston, of course in Florida.
Two number ones, go for it. Florida is favorite by
one and a half, right, ye one and a half,
and Kevin and I are both on the record. We
both have Houston with the upset, so we'll get into
that as well. And before we get there. We started

(15:53):
our weight challenge after the super Bowl. It's been two
months exactly, oh the seventh. Can you believe it's been
two months? Ready, So we got to scale around here.
I might need to get on it, okay, feeling a
little slimmer, feeling it a few more. Just haven't having Yeah,
because I did the what you talk about. I know.
I know that I've lost second. I just know that.
But I don't want to jump on a scale quite yet. Yeah,

(16:15):
I only do. I've already really done it.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
I told you one one time outside of the month
to month, that's what I've been doing. I don't want
to get on.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
The scale because it can mess you up.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Right here, Uh, this six weeks off for rob G.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
I hurt him in no way. He's gonna front sitting around.
He's nah, he'll be honest. But what I'm saying, he's
gonna act like, oh, none to it, And I'm like,
all right, But then again, you know the kids are
preoccupied or taking an ap or something. He can knock
out a forty five minute you know, workout a treadmill,
and for the he it is, he can sneak in

(16:47):
some workouts that he normally couldn't get, but dang it.
Around those kids and those snacks, that'll do it in.
So where are you at right now, mister spelt So,
I'm I'm I'm happy to report and I.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Just breaking news on at two twenty four. Yeah, two
oh four today, twenty past tracks due in sixty days.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Patrick.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
That's not bad, right, that's not bad. And you could
see it, am I right? No face, you continue in there.
You can see it for no doubt. I feel really good. Yeah,
And I haven't like even come close. The thing I'm
most proud of cheesecake.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Now.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
I haven't had a diet coke in sixty days that
I was drinking daily gol I had the big golpe
every day in the studio and I just wanted to
get off the carbonation off of that stuff.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
And I cannot believe I've gone this long without one.
You're back, right, Let's say we fast forward. It's October,
whatever the day is. You're back. First thing, you want
a big golp or cheesecake.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
We're gonna get a cheesecake, I mean a big gop
on the way to the studio and after the studio, Patrick,
where we go on Cheesecake factor after the cheesecake all
of us. Yeah, that's October sixth. I think it is
fourth fifth, Monday, October sixth.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
We're all being cheesecake. Can't wait. That's save the Day, y'all. Yeah,
that's right, all right, Well, Patrick, just hide my things
on Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
I'm not I'm not even gonna We're not even going
to front here on this next topic. No, And my
buddy Chris was from Detroit.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Shout out to Chris. And Chris is a big fan
of the show. He loves the show.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
And uh, he texted me yesterday, this is out here
working in the streets. Yes, and he, uh, you know,
threw out the idea and you have it on your phone.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
I do have it, right, So they sent out the
idea of Alex Ovechkin passing Wayne Gretzky in all time
goal list.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
And I would say this to you, Yeah, Wayne Gretzky
is still the greatest hockey player.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think just because of my pass record,
I have to be the better player. It's just you
pass it a great record, right exactly. And whatever this
particular sport is, like somebody might eventually pass Serena that
doesn't mean and I know Serena still had one more
to go, but that means he's better than Serena, you
know what I mean. So that that doesn't mean they're better.
Just by passing oh Vet Skin of course, passing Wayne,

(18:57):
passing Wayne Gretzky for the most NHL go scored at
all time, that was one of the lists. The other
one Barry Bonds passing Hank Aaron for most career home runs.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
That's that's juicy right now. Hank Aaron had juicy is
the right thing. Hank Aaron has seven hundred and fifty five.
The thing that I'm most impressed by Hank Aaron's career.
If you take away his seven hundred and fifty five
home runs, he would still have three thousand hits. That's crazy.
That gets you in the Hall of Avice. On three
thousand is a punch ticket, So three thousand he would

(19:28):
have punched. He would have three and for a power hitter,
three on five lifetime batting average, he won like a
two twenty five or two forty hitter.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
He was a three hundred hitter. Started talking about best
play No.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Ahead Number three on the list, Lebron not ranking but
on other options Lebron passing Kareem for NBA's all time scoring,
and lastly Tom Brady being the NFL's all time leader
of touchdowns thrown and passing yards. I'm gonna be this
real quick, Okay, which one is more impressive? Rob Hark,

(20:01):
I'll tell you the least impressive and then the most
the least. I'm gonna one thousand agree with you. I
think the Tom Brady. Tom Brady. I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
So nobody even know.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
And it doesn't even have like listing who he passed
or whatever, because nobody nobody knows. And the other three
look at the players that are being passed.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Okay, Aaron, Wayne, They're great. They're great one Aaron and
Kareem arguably mister basketball. Yeah, exactly. So there's we agree
on Tom being the least, which is a great compliment.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
But somebody might call up and make an argument, if
you can, we got maybe something else we're missing to
I'm going to say this. You know, I'm a baseball guy,
and the home run record and Hank Aaron when he
passed Babe Ruth. It was special when Hank and and
Barry Bonds and we all know the whole implications of
the of the steroids and the juice and and Balco

(20:51):
and all that that has stripped Barry Bonds are basically
being celebrated as the greatest player in baseball for real.
But I'm still going to say that it was it's
Barry Bonds passing Hank Karen the scoring title with Kareem.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, it was cool.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
And I still think an Ovechkin passing Wayne Gretzky, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
I struggled trying to figure out why that wasn't the
answer for me, you know what I mean. I was like, no,
that's not it, because that was the impinus of this conversation.
But I'm like, why why to pass Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky
is quite where.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
We have a debate in almost every sport about who's
the greatest player.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
There is no debate in hockey.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
What was you gonna say, Steve am I right, I mean,
Steve agrees there They're like nobody, nobody's saying it's somebody
else or whatever. It is Wayne Gretzky one thousand, mister
hockey and all that, but he is not the greatest.
Wayne Gretzky's the greatest. All the other sports where you're like, oh,
I don't know, Uh, still might take Babe Ruth. I'm

(22:08):
still might take Willie May's over Hank Aaron. He was
a five to two players. All right, take this guy,
Barry Bonds. I don't know about the jew NBA.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Some people love Kobe. No, Kobe is the guy. Oh
it's Mike. Oh No, it's Lebron, It's karem Its, it's Kareem.
It's the old school guys not in hockey.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
No, it's and no one debates that. It's not even
like someone who tries the debate like that is the answer.
So I this was this was very difficult because of
said implications. Right, so the question for me became most
impressive or most entertaining, No impressive, you get what I mean.

(22:46):
Like that run with Barry Bonds was a blast.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Chris was working at the New York Times I think
during that and he was a part of the coverage,
Like going.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Around, dude, that was a blast. Remember ESPN was cutting in.
That's what I mean. So that might be my most
and I made it, you know, made it two questions
most entertaining, like stopping where you walk in you didn't
ordering food. Stop, let me get it way on. Oh okay,
that was just a ride, like I remember that. I
remember picking up going to your ready to go out

(23:18):
one night with Buddy. I mean, you know, putting on
the club. But the little rest going to the club tonight.
All right, here we go, get back to it. So
you didn't necessarily do that to me with any other
other one. So that was by far the most entertaining.
But I do think with impressive for me, we just
never thought anyone would pass Kareem, Like it wasn't even
a thought, like nobody's passing Kareem, Like what do you mean?

(23:42):
Says I'm sir. Kareem was bald, and they literally remember
they put him out on a wheelchair, I mean a
rocking chair when he was retired, with joking he was old.
He was nobody. Nobody's doing that. And I think, because
here's the other thing. When you when I say Lebron James,
you think passing. So it's great, like you just thought
their first thing you think of he's a passer. If
just was Kobe having any conversation all right with Kobe,

(24:04):
that makes it more say Kobe was a score one
of the best scorers. Ever, if it ends up becoming Luca, well,
Luca's a scorer and he is a great passer too,
but Lebron the first thing you think of is passing.
So for him the all time scorer was absolutely crazy
to me because he's a pass first guy. So that
takes the edge from me barely. And I'm going with

(24:24):
that one because I just did not see that happen
and all the things that it would take, and I
do think the I was really thought about this. The
run of ninety eight took a little bit of the
luster of like, we'll look at what these guys are doing.
You know, we had Markwark McGuire, Sami Sosa and so
like that was the first impetus of like, oh home
runs in Big sixty, can he get the sick? Can

(24:45):
he get to sixty five sixty six?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
And so we kind of had that run A few
years later is of course Barry Bond's run, but just
started to see, started to think, starting to question some
things a little bit. So maybe that took a little
bit out of it for me. Of them pressive factor
because of those set implications, but that was more entertaining
the answer for most impressive is Lebron passing Krank?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Because I just I just never thought I didn't. I
never thought that was probably Mike didn't do it, Michael Jordan,
I didn't play long, I know, but it's just like
he wasn't even close. Like that ain't happening all right?

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty. Now we'll get as
many people in as possible. Uh, the most impressive. We're
talking about Ovechkin passing gretzut him he had forty has
forty two goals at thirty nine years old.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Yeah, this isn't like, oh he needed only six to
do it this season.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
He's got thirty nine is incredible. Forty two, I mean yeah,
forty thirty nine impressive?

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Is it? That? Is it Barry Bonds passing Hank Aaron?
Maybe it is Tom Brady? Is it Tom Brady passing who? Nobody?
We know because we know what the number is. I'm
gonna get it.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Just Tom Brady passing the touchdowns and passing yards? Or
is it Lebron passing Kareem? Where are you? As many
people as possible to get in? Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox it is the Odd Couple, Wanner Breese,
was it Drew Brees on a Worship Wednesday?

Speaker 1 (26:17):
What am I saying on a Magic City Monday? Man,
misremember your Magic City in worship? It ain't going along.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
They ain't going again The Magic City Monday, Rob Parker

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Welcome to shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parker's
daily picks against the screw.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
All right, Friday, I was one and two eighty seven
and ninety two is my mark for the year. We
need a big night tonight. Did you pick the game tonight?
Is that one of your I did not? Okay, I
did not. I picked. I know I should have.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
You know what for the first time out of fourth,
call Elijah a fourth at a fourth, I'll just pick.
I'm gonna pick Houston, Okay, went out right?

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
I expect them to win the championship and then I'm
the the champion of the Fox Sports Radio Crocket beyond Yes,
and you'll have to live with me for at least
two weeks.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
I don't know right now. I saw Doug Golig above you,
so no, right, But Doug.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
To his point, picked Florida, and so did Chris Plain. Yeah,
so he all he has to have is yo.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
So if those two guys who are ahead of me,
if they if Florida loses, I win.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah, all right? Also we ain't that's talk and already
hear it.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Pistons minus six and a half host of the Sacramento Kings.
I got the Dodgers minus one and a half through
at the Nationals even though the national is a leading
right now. And I got the Mets minus one and
a half runs taking on the Marlins at City Field.
So let's go Mets minus one and a half, Dodgers

(28:57):
minus one and a half and the Pistons minus six
and a have and take Houston Houston to win. And
remember Calvin that I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
All right, four and oh get you right back in
this thing real quick. Any thoughts on just and it
just Cooper flag as a whole. Uh did you do?
Because if the debate becomes obviously he's number one pick.
So he's like, he's just he's out of here. But
there's no way he comes back, right, He's not mad
that shot? Maybe I could we could have won the

(29:29):
national championship. I'll be the number one pick again the
next year, and that ain't he could have been the
number one pick straight out of high school if that,
you know, if he were allowed to.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Uh No, I just think once you're number one, the
number one pick, you should just go.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I always look at the Matt Lioner there. I'll tell
you that. Yeah, you do that to the point. I
know he's like, if you don't shut up about.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
This, I'm sorry, but you went from the first overall
pick to tenth and then for whatever reason, you didn't
have the career what he.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Just flamed out though, and maybe he just wasn't it period.
You could have gone to a different organization. But all
that extra money. I'm just saying, like, you don't pass up.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
You don't want to go from It wasn't like all
I'm gonna play next year, I'm gonna be number one anyway,
all of a sudden you went to number two Cooper Flag.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
You don't know what.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
If he gets hurt, what if somebody else comes out
of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
I'm just saying automatic, it's not but in basketball, somebody
gets hurt. You I agree with the hurt, but What
I mean is that like Lebron would have went to college,
you know, if he had to, whatever he could have
gotten hurt. Lebron was gonna be the number one pick.
Kyrie Hervan was hurt the entire year except for like
eight games. Kyrie Evan was a number one pick. Like

(30:36):
basketball is Zach, I mean a Zach who a zion
gotta you know hurt dude when he came back and yeah,
but they you know, just saying you don't don't you
know that guy is basketball because one guy can change
your franchise so much different you know, football, Like I
think it's crazy, but you gotta give me saying for
him to not come back, I'm just saying there is

(30:56):
a thought because he thought, you know, he makes this shot,
they what would have been for I believe, and all
of a sudden, you know, are up one or two,
but all of a sudden you got this heroic moment.
Now you're in the championship game. You mess around, you know,
but now you think about that. Man, if I make
this shot, if we win this game, I could have
win the championship game. You know, won another one for Duke.

(31:16):
Maybe you know you wondered, kid, just turned eighteen, not
too long ago. But you gotta get out of here.
I try to build a case if you're a huge
and you gotta get out, That's what I trying to
build a case.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
And if you're Houston going into this game after that
comeback of fourteen points second half against Duke, you can't.
But you can't tell them nothing that they that they
don't feel like they're gonna win, like they gotta go
in sky high.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
It doesn't. It's no knock on Florida and how good
the Walter Clayton Jr. But you get my point has
been insane, back to back thirty plus games, making huge shots.
He's gonna be the key if he drops another thirty
piece tonight Florida. You know, they look like they could
have a chance to win their favor by one and
a half, but only one and a half. I told
you about this. Yeah, it's just a pick 'ems at

(32:01):
this point. But Walter Clayton Junior has been that's that's
the guy. And every now and again we get a tournament,
you get a Kimba Walker like run, you get a
Carmelo like run. You know, you get that run with
that guy was just that good, and he has been
that good. I pick Houston as well, but they gotta
definitely watch him because he has been ridiculously good well
with some some big wins. We gotta go. The greatest

(32:23):
feat in sports Alex Ovechkin of course, beating Gretzky now
for all time goals. What's the greatest feat in sports?
We'll tell you.

Speaker 7 (32:33):
I think Tiger Woods has good feet.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Oh boy,
