He was like about another hour and a half for
the financing another, we'll be back. Let me just get
them home because they were about to tear I was

(02:46):
about to buy six cars. No, they're about to tear
that place up. I don't have time for all that. Yeah,
and they did very well for the first you know,
a little hour and a half, two hours. They're like,
all right now, so it's too long. Yeah, they were like,
all right, it's always better, say just do everything and
I'll be back. Yep. Yeah, and that's that's what everything
set up, so I could just come pick it up. Nice, beautiful,
but yeah, man, than appreciate you. Man, I might be
ye sticking in the family too. Okay, I love it,

(03:08):
but I might need some you be getting gear from him?
I need some gear. You buy it or they get.
I got a hat to close the deal to get
the jack. Yeah, we need something a sweatshirt or something
up in there. Let me just have some throw it in. Yeah,
I'm gonna go aheady man, I need I'm gonna need one
of these. And they trust me, you know why. They
also made you'll appreciate this. Yeah, when I was there Sunday,

(03:32):
turn around and look, my new Spectrum News one was
on their TV all day and then they started to
realizing what that is you, So now they might put
a little extra sauce on. You know, nothing wrong with that. No,
when you gotta smooz, when you get smooze man, All.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Right, let's welcome in the odd couple crew because we
wouldn't be able to do this farm radio program without him.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
We got Alex is our engineer. I was about to say,
Justin is our producer. Rob g who chimed in today
on a text says he will be back on Monday.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
And you know what, he also said, I was disappointed.
I told you he did you and Alex told me.
I said he was gonna be fifteen pounds lighter, puffy,
he said, puff, daddy, I knew he was gonna No, diddy,
he's puffy, fifteen pounds. Just think about it, newborn baby. No,
I know. But see, this is the thing though, it's
time like if he can, he has a time to
sneak away now because he doesn't have to come here

(04:24):
and at the show, there was a way he just
chose not to.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I think his lady, he has a moment alone he's
either cleaning, getting the kids ready something.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
He is not chilling. How many kids? I got? All
the kids? Trust me, if you were if I was home,
i'd come in here looking halfway to you. That says
a lot, which I had a great one today, by
the way, you'd have been proud of me. All right.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Steve de Seger is at the X t us killed
us um dated throughout the program of course, and of
course a lot of them almost Elijah.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I never heard of them. Get ready, you're ready. He's
gonna have some content to social media guru.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
So yeah, we're in full effect on this trash talking
Tuesday coming up in hour number two, your chance to
trash anyone anything in the world of sports, and Calvin,
let's go here. I want to start here. I want
to start here with Bill Belichick. You know, he has
a book coming out. He's doing all these interviews and

(05:24):
making these rounds or whatever. And uh, there's a part
of an interview from CBS YEP where Bill Belichick is
being He's on camera being interviewed and his twenty four
year old girlfriend, What's what's your name? Jordan Yep, Jordan
Hudson and and the interview on CBS Mornings or whatever

(05:47):
the show is called. Obvious question, How did you guys,
simple lob right. Yeah, let's let's hear her.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
You were treated with dignity and respect when you were
let go by Robert Craft.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, what was a mutual decision? That for us?

Speaker 5 (06:05):
The part ways he said fired, It was a mutual decision.
The other change for Belichick is twenty four year old
Jordan Hudson, his creative muse. As he writes in his book,
make sure that Jordan was a constant presence during our interview.

(06:26):
You have Jordan right over there. Everybody in the world
seems to be following this relationship. They've got an opinion
about your private life. It's got nothing to do with them,
but they're invested in it. How do you deal with that?

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Never been too worried about what everybody else thinks.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Just to try to do what I feel like is
that's for me?

Speaker 3 (06:44):
And what's right?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
How did you guys meet not talking about this? No, No,
it's a topic. Neither one of them is comfortable commenting on.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
There you go. Did you hear that we're not talking
about this or whatever?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
She interrupted? And can I say this, Kelvin And with
all sincerity. If you're the president and the pad athletic
director at UNC and you're watching what's unfolded in front
of you, I would fire Bill Belichick and say this
is not a good fit. This is looking awful for

(07:21):
a university that a grown ass man who's in his
seventies is having a relationship with a college age girl.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I'll say that at.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Twenty four years old, she's running him around like a
puppy dog on the leech leash. And Bill Belichick has
hired her. Right, don't you have a job with the university?
Like what is going on here North Carolina? This is
really what you want to display. Your football coach is

(07:56):
parading around a woman like fifty years younger than him.
The unit, think the students, the football team. That's the
example you want to set. None of this makes any sense.
And there was a report from TMZ today that said
UNC personnel, this is from TMZ, is worried that Jordan

(08:19):
Hudson's influence on Bill Belichick quote could become a problem.
Not could become a problem, It is a problem. This
is so public, so embarrassing, so ridiculous on a college campus.
This is what you want, you want the parents that

(08:42):
Bill Belichick is recruiting these kids so that the parents can.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Say, what's the deal?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Let me hide my teenage a twenty year old daughter
stay in the back room. I don't want him to
see you, or do you bring her out the suite?
And the deal to get the deal done, to get
this scholarship? Like, what are we doing here, Kelvin, This
is lunacy. A university has signed off on this. Think

(09:13):
that's not possible. It's a bad look, not only for
Bill Belichick. I'm serious, and and people fall in love
all this. This is doesn't look right, and now she's
running everything. Even on an interview, Bill can't answer a
question because she could shut it down. Really, a twenty

(09:35):
four year old just shut down a super Bowl winning
coach six times over Bill Belichick, and he didn't say
a word.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Oh there's more to it too, to the interview. So
all right, so you know it's real. When my dog
King sugar Daddy got a problem with it, that's when
you know this for Hill, when you say, hey man,
this has gone too far. There's so much in dissect here,
all right. Number one, the irony that mister run a
tight ship, mister no distractions. Mister run the patriots out

(10:05):
in the military will be now getting his whole entire
life ran by a twenty four year old is mad, weird.
It's really suspicious, and it leads you to say, well,
what's really going on. Let's dive deeper here. The reports
are that there was another segment that was supposed to
come out, but CEB has morning scrapped it because they
kept getting interrupted. The reason that CB has put this

(10:26):
out there. Normally they would just kind of leave something
like this out because that didn't make the emil. Yeah,
he didn't make the interview is because she kept interrupting,
kept doing this, kept starting them over that They were
kind of like, we want you to see what we
were dealing with. So they kind of put this out
there as to say, we're trying to conduct an normal
interview and we kept being interrupted, kept being stopped, Kelly
being told what not to do, and this is also

(10:46):
what happens. So this is why this is out there.
So the iron that Bill Belichick will be getting run
by this is amazing. Let's talk about distractions. He's supposed
to be leading the school, right these young men telling
them how to run their lives. How to be good
of the sens and all that. And yet this is
this type of stuff he does distractions. When he was
big on no distractions. Now he's got this out there,
he's focused on the book. Didn't put Robert Craft in

(11:08):
the book he's wearing a home, doesn't mentioned Robert Craft
Poles in his T shirt on the interview, which says,
you know, going to lead to what conversations? Distractions? You
put on a polo, then they had to put on
a suit, put on a nice polo, You go on
there a nice sweater. We move on. Also, TMZ is
now involved. TMZ has become an incredibly reliable source. Meeting

(11:30):
TMZ is going to find out something. When she says
we're not answering that, we're not answering that, and Bill
says we're not answering that, that leaves you to go, well,
what is so secretive? What's the issue? Is there something
more scandalous? What do we need to know? And I'm
just saying by doing it now, people are going to dig. No,
they should dig. If you go, hey, you know met,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
You know.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
All I know is I met her and the day
met on the dat mutual friend. She was at a game.
Love her. That's my bull. You don't have to get detail.
And I'm not saying something shady. We don't want anything shady.
But what I'm saying is now people are going to
look when you don't know when I answer, when you're
freaking out, you know, it's tell somebody no, hey, can
I know No. That's the first thing that they're gonna
do is yes, he's gonna find out that I'm gonna

(12:11):
find out. So that also is there for me too,
And I just I just blown away. And again, somebody
who is seventy six years old? Is that all? He's
seventy three, I'm sorry, seventy three years old. Seventy three
even I was like, I thought that was kind of old.
I know, seventy three, she's twenty yees seventy three years old.
That his life is being ran, his business is being ran,

(12:33):
his team is being ran by somebody who wasn't alive
when nine to eleven happened. This is crazy. And I
try to stay out of people's love lies. Hey, but
come on, man, Bill, But but but you're different. When
you're a football coach and.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Leading young people, you're leading young people there you go.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
If you're the coach of the New England Patriots, you
could do whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You're now at a university where younger people look up
to you and they're looking at you.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
You don't think those guys are going what is going
on here?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Why in the world would Bill Belichick be with a
college age girl.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
It makes no sense. Yeah, it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
It's a bad look for the university, a bad look
for Bill Belichick. And I don't know how the president
of the university or the athletic director is looking at
this thinking everything is cool.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
It doesn't make sense. No, and again, I just think
it's a listen when you're going into a new opportunity
that again is a university, a public university run you
know you got the schools. People are involved, people are investing,
people are watching. You're leading them in, leading this way
and going on a tour, going on a tour where
you know, awkward questions is gonna come up because she's

(13:51):
right there. Any good reporter you know this that sees
her sitting there knowing the topic of a session level
that's a natural quest and not even trying to be
miss just hey, you guys are together.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
You could have said we were on the beach together.
I saw, I said, do you want to have coffee?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
And we just kidd it off. We had yeah, Kay,
we had OTA's in Florida. We ran and said, hey,
you're single man, do what you want to do. But
now it makes it weird, makes it awkward, and people
make people are going to investigate. So I don't know,
just it's just it was strange. Seeing him act strange
made it even weirder. Yeah, because she shut him down.

(14:25):
Nobody shuts him down, not even.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Tom Brady eight seven seven Robert Kraft ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Where are you cause I know where I stand? U

(15:38):

Speaker 6 (15:41):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (15:42):
How do you handle at Jordan Hudson? All bad, No
big deal? What you say? Ay? Seven seven ninety nine
on Fox?

Speaker 1 (15:48):
All right, let's go Marty in Kentucky. You're in the
Odd Couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
What's up, Marty Fellas.

Speaker 7 (15:55):
It's good to get to call. Yeah, I don't get
many chances. I'm usually working and I'm listening.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Appreciate it, so we know that, Marty.

Speaker 7 (16:03):
Guys. I hope y'all post yesterday showing YouTube because I
want to see Kelvin's face when he realized Sean from sacking.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I know that was classic, classic fun.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
Hey, Hey he sent me a require. I mean we
got tied up together on Twitter, and I got on
his Twitter and I just kept seeing this agent.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Dude.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
I'm like, where is I thought.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
I'd follow Sean.

Speaker 7 (16:30):
You're not the only one that's been fooled.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
That is hilarious. Where are you Marty here on the top.

Speaker 7 (16:38):
I know this is gonna blow your mind, But Kelvin,
I'm white.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
I was. I was like, maybe maybe not. He got
you here a little little some something there.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
Oh, I'm pretty sure that you know. I've been sarcastic.
Oh down here from the South, and they get pretty obvious.
But I'll get to the point. I'm done with the jokes. Guys. Rob,
I'm disappointed.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Man.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
You're Rob Parker. You you're the guy that's put one hundred.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
College I ain't that the pot calling the kettle black.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, but they're not working for me, and I'm you
don't see me sporting them around.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
I'll tell you that.

Speaker 7 (17:17):
See college kids. I heard a comment that they're thinking,
why is he with her? Those college guys so excited?
Why he's with her?

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah, I think he as as a role model.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Marty. I just think it's inappropriate. That's just me.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I appreciate the call. Thank you, such Antonio in Miami.
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Antonio? Antonio?
Tonio is still on Marty. Somebody hit Antonio Bam Okay, yes,

(17:54):
how are you go ahead?

Speaker 6 (17:54):
Buddy good good.

Speaker 7 (17:56):
I just want to let anyone dank there's any confusion.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
She is ay Hi prostitute. They all know it.

Speaker 9 (18:01):
The young guys know it.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
The five young men know it.

Speaker 10 (18:05):
I would say, uh.

Speaker 7 (18:06):
Maybe there's a little competitiveness with him in Craft.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
You know, they just highing the side crass.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Craft's girlfriend is fifty years old. Okay, so who's his wife?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Now?

Speaker 3 (18:17):
They got married fifty years old?

Speaker 1 (18:18):
And yeah she's younger because he's eighty nine or what exactly.
But come on, I mean a twenty four year old.
He's working on a college campus.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Antonio. You see my point?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Young men drop.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
I think what you're saying holds up for.

Speaker 7 (18:33):
Like nineteen ninety five, the fine young men, these five
young men are pranking NFL players.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
And video tape being busting online.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
I think I'm not talking about I'm talking about from
the university standpoint. Of course, the guys they'll be hitting,
they'll be trying to hit all asked where.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Your girlfriends out? You got going on? Can I come?
No doubt?

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Alice in Pittsburgh you're on the idea Alice Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Hi, guys, how are you? You?

Speaker 9 (18:58):
Never talk to you guys?

Speaker 10 (18:59):
Probably about him?

Speaker 1 (19:00):
How are you all doing?

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Say? She's like, all right, I'll get him back in
the fall. She's listening to that terrible local show in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
But that's okay, go ahead, No, I doubt.

Speaker 9 (19:10):
I don't listen to it. I just listened to you, guys.
I listened to Fox Sports in the morning to what's
his name? Brady Quinny when I worked at.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Where are you Alice? On this?

Speaker 10 (19:22):
Where am I?

Speaker 9 (19:23):
I think it's disgusting.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
I think it's on a lot of levels. One, I mean,
stay met on a plane apparently, even though she won't
let him talk about it during the interview, she was
seated next to one on a flight somewhere and they
started talking and they had a lot in common, which
I can't understand what exactly they could have in common.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
They both had to eat to survive, and drink and
and and they both take showers. What do you mean,
come on, okay?

Speaker 9 (19:50):
Is it a sparkling personality that she was attracted to him.
If he was like an unemployed storage would she'd be
with him?

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I mean, seriously, it's a analysis.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Appreciate it's a college campus. It's a it's a bad love. Yeah,
I just what what that's what? Even I remember the
report what Alice was saying. It makes it like, but
what what is there more to it? What would have
been a we hit it off? For here we are
a couple of years later, like Joe in Chicago, you're
in the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Joe?

Speaker 8 (20:20):
Hey, how's it going? Guys? Hey, look, I think you
just have it all wrong about Bill dahl Chick. He's
not doing anything unlawful. I mean, Jordan is twenty four
years old, she's an adult. Okay, he's not doing anything wrong.
And we all know that life is short. You know,
no one's guaranteed to be a life Tomorrow. When you're
driving home from work, you can get in a car

(20:40):
accident and.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
You can Joe, I get that, I get all that.
No one said he broke the law.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Okay, but that but I'm talking about the optics of
being on a college campus, well a couple, that's right,
that those are the things I'm talking about as someone
who is a role model and.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Someone for for Peter of young man.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yes he's not working at the seven eleven and he
could do whatever he want.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
People look up to him and also too. It just
I mean, there's some like elephant in the room that Okay,
if there she's twenty four? Now, how old was she
when they met? Because you are on a campus with
a bunch of people that age. And I'm not saying
anything scandalous. I'm just simply saying those are the things
parents who send their kids in these schools think about.
These things are real conversations that university has had to

(21:25):
have had before they make a hire.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
All right, real quick, we got Mitch in Manhattan Beach.
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
What's up, Mitch?

Speaker 11 (21:34):
Hey, what's up guys? How's going?

Speaker 8 (21:36):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Good?

Speaker 7 (21:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (21:38):
So I got two little points.

Speaker 12 (21:40):
One is the minimum age for most guys. As a
rule of thumb, you should cut your.

Speaker 11 (21:46):
Agent half plus seven and at seven years yep, that's
usually like what you kind of go on anything like
drastically below that or below that, it's kind of like,
you know, that's just a regular guy, not a public
figure like Bill, and I.

Speaker 12 (21:59):
Also want to I don't know, you guys might know
what happened to him. But there was a photo released
of ed orzer On at Elis when he was at
LSU and Alta with some They were young females. I
don't know their ages, but they definitely looked like they
were around Bill's girlfriend's age. And I don't know if

(22:19):
that caused a stir or it was the reason part
of the reason why I got housed. Uh, maybe you
guys can help fill me in. But yeah, it's definitely
not a good look for Bill to be doing this,
that's all.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
It's just not a good look. Uh lost his name.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Uh, it's just not a good look, that's what Mitch, Mitch,
You're right, it's just not a good look. No one
saying he's not breaking the law. She's not underaged, it's
not any of that. It's his it's his job. And
what what you know what he uh as a role
model you want somebody to be all right.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
We got on the other side of this and right
now we're to find Yeah, we can ask him that
as well. What's trending with Steve Segert? Hey, Steve, even.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
If she was forty four years old and kept interrupting
an interview like that.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
That was where I was gonna go more. And also
you see that Steve.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Like if I'm wasn't sixty minutes, if I'm if I'm
the ad, I'm like what Bill is?

Speaker 3 (23:11):
What? Like she's running Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
And this is also you talk about the school. The
University of North Carolina does have the black mark on
its record fourteen years of academic frauds and fell athletes
into sham classes to keep them eligible.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Did they suddenly turn a new leaf and they're very
concerned about the young men they're developing and being honest
and offul Okay, let's get to the NBA show. We've
got four NBA playoff games tonight well underway at Indiana.
In fact, in the.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Third court, we are back the Pacers.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Maybe fifty two to fifty one.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
They have taken the league with big Seed just taught
the game.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yeah, they were down thirty to thirteen after the first quarter,
so it's a chance for them to take the series
in five tonight.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
And for the moment they were ahead, it's.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Now fifty three fifty two Milwaukee in the third quarter
of this one. Detroit at New York about to start
in an hour. It's Orlando at Boston. The late game
Clippers at Denver, series tied at two. Clippers could have
swept it, honestly at this point, lost at the buzzer
and another game lost in overtime. The NBA Rookie of
the Year has been named. It is the Spurs Stefan Castle.

(24:19):
He got ninety two of the one hundred first place votes.
The Hawk Zachary Rishisse finished second. The Kings are finalizing
a deal to keep Doug Christie as head coach four
NHL playoff games. Senators scoreless mid first period at Toronto
to Major League Baseball the Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Tonight,
Kyle Gibson was making his season debut. He allowed a

(24:40):
home run to the first batter. Then Aaron Judge came up,
home run, next batter, home run, fifth batter, home run
Cody Bellinger. So it was five nothing by the end
of the first inning. Yankees. It's six nothing Yanks at Baltimore.
In the top of the fourth, Ben Rice the DH
has hit two out of the park.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Did you say it was his season debut or debut,
because I would say it was.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
What in the Oprah Renfrey was going on, you get
a home run, you get a home run, You'll get
a home run. They bust.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
Yeah, So he had three mark you know, outings in
triple A and yikes, I'm surprised he's still in the
game at this point. But okay, he's down six to nothing,
top of the fourth. It shows you what they have
or don't have.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
As far as pitch in Baltimore, that's true. It's just
go ahead, just wrap it up.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
Ridiculous pitching staff that they have tried it out. They're
Saint Louis at Cincinnati, rained out, twins at Cleveland still
in a rain delay, but they have started at Pittsburgh
Pirates and Cubs scoreless, bottom of the third.

Speaker 3 (25:39):

(26:04):
know what time it is? From salam Form r NFL
Fensive Lineman, Fox Sports Radio Weekend host is our guests
now from what's up?

Speaker 6 (26:10):
Bro?

Speaker 11 (26:11):
What's that?

Speaker 6 (26:11):
Brothers? Y'all doing well? Gray?

Speaker 1 (26:13):
And there's two things we really want to talk to you.
So we're not gonna get up all the time. Please, Yes,
you're gonna get your full claim you're right, but e
from first the Bill Belichick. I don't know if you
saw the interview of the portion that came out of
it from CBS where she shut down a simple question
about how they met or whatever, like it was some secret.

(26:34):
I you know, he's hired her to work there, all
kinds of stuff.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
I just think it's a bad look.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
If I'm unc I gotta really rethink if this is
the right guy who should be a role.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Model to young men with a twenty four year old girlfriend.

Speaker 6 (26:49):
I mean, well, did you hire him to be the
coach and to change the program or to be an
example of how you should date and when you should date.
We gotta it.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Ain't about that.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
I'm talking about just the idea he's a role model
they should put the kids are supposed to look up to.

Speaker 6 (27:08):
Him, so what is he doing wrong? In reality? Now,
you may not agree with the age gap, which is
what fifty years or whatever whatever that is. Whatever the
age gap is, you may not agree, but is he
doing anything wrong? It may be in poor taste for you,
but is he doing anything and anything wrong?

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I think so on a college campus, that's all I
e from. If you're working at seven to eleven and you
want to have a fifty year old younger girlfriend, that's fine.
When you're in the public eye, he's out. I think
it's embarrassing to the university. I think that's just my
opinion from I think I totally I lean towards Robert.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Also get the fact that he's a girl man, extraordinarily
girl man, do what he wants. The issue I have
with it also, if you've seen the video, if you've
seen kind of what the reports are out there, she's
been running things around him, and that I think is
also troubling. There's reports that she might be in team rooms,
and so to me, that also is kind of crazy
when this is the guy I hired who normally ran
to show a certain type of way for you. So

(28:09):
I'm not getting the Bill Belichick. I thought I was
getting who ran things the way he ran it up
with New England. Now he's not even answering questions. He
got somebody running his interviews.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
Well, he never really liked to answer questions anyway. I mean,
he has the history of being salty or his own
way in interviews. But I'll tell you this, this will
be better talked about and debated at the end of
his first season at North Carolina. If he doesn't bring

(28:37):
an immediate impact similar to how Dion took over Colorado
and changed the culture there, then we can start having
these conversations about, oh, I don't know what he's doing. Man,
he's lost the step and this young lady seems to
be interfering all of that. But until then, we just
got to look and see what the product is because
if they come out and they win nineteen games, no

(28:59):
one will here.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Did you see urban Meyer lost his GiB?

Speaker 7 (29:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Why, it wasn't even that in the club. He started
off in the pros doing something that completely lost the
locker room. And that's he went and got somebody who
had been on the shelf for eight years and brought
him in the training camp, competing for a position he
never played in his life. Like, when you start making

(29:27):
decisions like that, football decisions like that, then you lose
the confidence of those in that locker room because that
sounded and seemed so ridiculous to those and the guys
who were really fighting for for a job, that you
would do something like that. That's where that's where the
beginning of his downfall was right.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
But until that video came out with the chick on his.

Speaker 6 (29:49):
Lap, he was already on the hot seat. He was
on his way out.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Well, let me, let's get here, Chador Sanders, Uh, I
forgot where you were. Were you high on Shador house shock?
Were you that he went the fifth round as you
were watching the draft?

Speaker 6 (30:03):
Well, I wasn't that low on him to where he
was a fifth round. Whether I had him, I mean
I had round. I had him as one of the
top two quarterbacks. I thought if two quarterbacks would have
gone in the first round, he would have been one
of them. I definitely had him over Dark or kid

(30:25):
from Louisville, or Dylan Gabriel or like anybody outside of
cam Ward being drafted ahead of him was shocking to me.
And to see him get drafted in the fifth round,
I mean I was I was blown away by that.
But I will say this, The expectation isn't there. The

(30:45):
only thing this young man has to worry about is
coming into training camp and taking that starting job, which
the table has been set for him to be able
to do that, and it is my estimation that should
do or standards finishes the season uh in Cleveland as
a starting quarterback.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Well, let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
This, but that that could mean that the Browns are
bad and they want to take a look at him
because out of the fifth round.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
The spy quarterback they got four, but they don't want
Joe Flacco to be the starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
But my point is, if they really believe that he's
going to be the starting quarterback, he had they had
four other opportunities to take him. I mean seriously, Ephraim, like, okay,
you win in you got him in the fifth round,
but they had two picks in the top of the
second round that they easily could have picked him if
they thought he was going to compete for the Just
just doesn't make sense though to me, is what I

(31:43):
get you a large evaluation of him he from But.

Speaker 6 (31:45):
I understand that, Rob, but you got to understand after
the draft process. No one cares about any of that.
And I'm speaking from a player who was drafted in
the seventh round. When I got the training camp, I
was fourth on the depth chart at left tackle, and
the end of that six weeks, I was the starting
right tackle for a team that went to the Super Bowl.

(32:07):
So all of that pre draft evaluating and what they
should have done and could have done is out the windows.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
But the only issue I have with that is people
lost their If just what you said, if it doesn't matter,
why were people Why was mel Kiper's panties in a
bunch and all these people, all these people were so hurt.
You just said it doesn't matter. Tom Brady was. Tom
Brady was in the sixth round for.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
I don't understand now for.

Speaker 6 (32:34):
Him should do it right now. It doesn't matter what
I think, you think, or any of anybody else. The
only thing that matters is if he goes to training
camp and proves to everyone why he should have been
picked that first day. That's what I did, and that's
what so many other late round draft picks do. The
real quick remember that the league is built on late

(32:55):
brown draft picks. He real queriod.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
We only got about a minute here. Do you think
there was a message being sent because you said he
was the second best quarterback, shouldn't have gone later than
late first round, early second. So many other people said
that that, okay, maybe he's not a first round town
but second, and then he goes a fifth. You think
there was something else? Was it that Dion overstep is
boundaries talking about we ain't gonna play for this team?
What real quick? Your reason why we got there?

Speaker 6 (33:20):
I'll tell you this. When I was a rookie, Chris Carter,
I went to the symposium. Chris Carter told me, I
told the whole team, everybody in the rookie symposium that
the NFL doesn't need you to play. Peyton Manning was
in my draft. Charles Woodson was in my draft. He's
made Peyton Manning stand up and said, the NFL doesn't
need you to play football. That's the realization. No matter

(33:43):
how much hype you have, the league doesn't need you.
You need the league. So all you can control is
how you go out there and play. And as long
as players keep that in mind when they're doing interviews
and working out and training, then they'll be better off.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Four Its all right, he for salam our guy. Did
you tell you to get a fall guy to or not?
I'm just curious, man, you know. You know, Hey, I'm trying.
I gotta let Rob go out the door before me.
I gotta let him walk out before me. Why I'm

(34:18):

Speaker 12 (35:17):
At them, they got the meter.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
This is bold, man. They got up to about twelve, Rob.
That was courtesy of NBA TV. And if you're saying, well,
what were they counting to, that was the fans in
Indiana counting as Giannis Antetokumpo's getting ready to shoot his
free throw. You know, historically he takes all day. He's
gotten some ten second counts at the line there, so
the crowd was just helping out the referees a little
bit there. Robi going to see it right now, because

(35:52):
so far behind that.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
I'm serious, Steve, I hate when you give us the
score like it's sixty.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
Nine sixty You're like, actually, no, oh it's seventy eight.
We're like, what next, core ninth thing.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
We're so behind, like two minutes behind. It's unbelieved. It
is unbelievable because look he's just taking free to Yeah,
all right, there you have it a sign now for
Shekel City.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Welcome two Shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parker's
daley dis against the scrap.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
All right, my boys been eight and one, where are
we at now? Let's make it nine and three? One
and two? Last night. Okay, back down on Earth. That's okay.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Nine and three in my last four twelve, one, twelve
and one twelve.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Here we go. Of course, these were all posted before
games started.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
I have the Knicks best bet minus five and a
half at Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
Oh really, yes, I do. So you really want some,
George h.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yeah, I'll take those uh, Indiana Patriers minus seven and
a half.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
That's the one that's gonna be hard. Yeah. Yeah. And
I got the Boston Celtics minus eleven hours. Shocked you
in Indiana because you've been doing the whole The team's
gonna have fight thing a week.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
But with Lillard out and everything, I'm just like, I
don't know, you know what I.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Mean, Gannest, this is go ahead finish Celtics minus eleven
and a half.

Speaker 7 (37:10):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
And you had a PACER's minus seven and a half
and the New York Knicks minus five and a half.
And remember, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
All right, you know what I'm looking at Yannis right now.
He looked a little, a little nicked up. He'll be fine,
but yeah, that's unlike you. This week you've been running
with the team's gonna have fight. They're not gonna just
throw in the toilet. And this is a former MVP,
one time champ. You just think Gianni's just gonna fold.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
But sometimes you go, you get you know, you realize
you ain't gonna win.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
Got no hope one, two, three, can't coon.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
And what if they lose by eight? That's not like
getting blown out. It's like getting blown up by forty
or fifty like last night.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
I hope and I want you to do well and everything,
but I do want Giannis to come like, come on, Yiannis,
Like I know you're missing Dame, but you got enough
out there.

Speaker 6 (37:54):
Man.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Bobby Ports is still there. You got Brook Lopez, you
got Kevin Porter Junior. I mean, you got some guys,
and not to mention more than anything, you got you, Yannis.
If you gotta go forty five, fifteen to ten, and
I come on, Giannis, you got Kyle Kuzma, which Kyle
Kuzma might change it then to Kyle Booze lately. I
mean he ain't even playing that great, but yeah, I

(38:15):
just want I want Giannis to come on, man, like
you are one of those ones. You know we talk
about the best players in the league, is that Luke
is Jokich, is Sga is a Giannis? You're like right there?
So I need him to just have one of those
monster games, you know, because I'll give you an example.
It wouldn't surprise me if the piss is going up
in the fourth quarter and they're up ten or something

(38:36):
and then Brunton goes crazy and scores twenty. My point
is he's been that type of guy, you know what
I mean, where they've been able to depend on him
to just go crazy and he had Uh he's with
the cutch clutch player of the year, So my yeah,
come on, Jiannis, you feel me?

Speaker 1 (38:52):
No, I don't I think that. I think the Pacers
are better. I just think the patients. But I'm saying
Zoby could give me one. Pete Lebron couldn't just say
tonight it's just that night, you know what I mean.
I'm just win this series.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
It's three to one, right, it's not a sweet Just
need them to do something. They won a game.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
I don't know what else you want from them. What
are you feeling about on the Pistons and the Knicks?

Speaker 3 (39:15):
I mean it almost looks exactly like every other game
where it's nip and tuck. One team goes up seven
or eight, the other team go you know, it's really
that's kind of them in the Margins.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
World seven Detroit. Maybe I don't know, Steve might say
it's twenty to fifteen. Great point, okay, so it is twelve?

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Oh wait to be fast forward our TV? Finally? Is
that what happened? Are we in a perpetual rewind from
years ago? This TV is bad? That one is? I
guess one point? All right? Maybe that's what it is.
Maybe you know, like we were wind maybe we never
turned these TVs off out imagine, so we were winded
it ten years ago. It was just stuck there like
behind a little bit. Maybe that's what it is. That's
what it is, a little Aol dial up action. Boy.

(39:55):
You you I'm about to tear this instant chat up tonight.
Boy when you when you hit that dollar justin you
know what I'm talking about when you hit that dialogue,
I yeah, it got real minutes when this gets up.
All right, don't forget trash talk is coming up in
our number two right, I'm looking forward to plus. Can
I ask you for your Jersey No.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Kelvin Washington and Man a lot of stuff coming up.
Former offensive lineman Lomas Brown, who also played for Tampa Bay,
Detroit and the Giants.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
I think you wanted to bowl with Tampa. I think
the Lumbas is the best.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
He's the radio color analyst for or the Detroit Lions
will join us in about twenty eight minutes.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
A lot to get to.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Don't forget trash talking, your chance to trash any want
anything in the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
We'll tell you when to call in and line up
for that.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
But before that, we got some other stuff going on
as well, and we want you to chime in and Kelvin. Yes,
I don't know about you what you need to know.
But these players, young players, what is this with wanting
to wear like star players numbers? Can you tie my

(41:36):
Mia yeah story with the New York Football Giants.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Yeah. So there are a few jerseys in life that
you just can't have. And the person we're about to
talk about is one of them. So I have dual
Carter now a giant looks like he right, and he's
a top pick, right big you know it's number three? Uh,
number two? Yeah, number three expected to be that guy.
You know, everybody all accounts he's gonna be one of
those one and another stay out, you know, outside linebacker,

(42:03):
edge rusher who's gonna be be spectacular. Well, he says,
he inquires to Lawrence Taylor about getting that number fifty
six in New York the Giants. Arguably not the greatest defender,
maybe one of, if not the greatest football players.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Do ever, just said it, and period any position. I've
been covering the league. So nineteen eighty six eighty seven for.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
Football, I thought the NBA was eighty seven. Baseball is
eighty six and the other two eighty seven. Yes, all right,
And I remember.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
I actually covered Lawrence Taylor, he was on the Giants.
I covered Lawrence Taylor during that time. And I'll sit
here and tell you like he arguably is the greatest
football players.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
And that's not crazy.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
There's watch the highlights on YouTube. He made grown men
look reaching over the line grabbing quarterbacks, pinky throwing them around,
throwing them around like a rag doll. That was incredible, remarkable, Bill,
Bill Belichick. I don't know about picking out the future
girl for but he is definitely, said Lawn Tell is
the greatest football player.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
He got that right, He got that one right. Yeah,
I mean without a doubt. And so I say that
aught to say, bruh, you just got to the league.
You haven't even the ink hasn't dried on the signing
on with the team yet, and you're asking for the
greatest player in Giant's history, maybe the greatest football player,
one of them all time. Hey man, can we bring
up your jersey now for the rafters? Right? Sometimes you

(43:29):
gotta smack yourself and go nah, terrible idea. Oh I
was ooh ooh nah. And sometimes even the thought I
know that you think it's flattering, but it's actually turns
around and becomes insulting to someone who means so much.
If the new shooting guard drafted by the Bulls said, hey,
can y'all bring down number twenty three from Chicago? Hey, Mike,

(43:52):
do you mind? I'm feeling a little twenty three ish,
we all would be like man. What so just absolutely
certain things you can't do. And I'm always blown away
by like did he say it out loud? Did he
say it to his roommate, his girlfriend, his dad, did anybody?
Because there's nobody who could have thought, well, that was
a great idea. You know what should do today? Son?

(44:14):
Go ask the Giants, can their best player in history
give up his jersey number? So, yeah, I'm blown away
by that. And again, if it's supposed to be a
sign of respect, I get it and appreciate. But no,
you just certain things you gotta leave alone.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
It's not that it's self absorbed like they'd like, like
you go in, you have no idea, seriously, and I
get it there, young whatever, can you do a little homework?

Speaker 3 (44:34):
Can you do a little research?

Speaker 1 (44:36):
The idea that you're talking about a number worn by
one of the greatest players ever makes no sense to
me that you would even go in and imply that. Now,
on the flip side, Warren Moon's number which was retired
by the Titans, right the number one? He a allow

(45:01):
kim Ward to wear his number. And kim Ward's gonna
wear it. I guess right, He's gonna take it. But
he's the one who said, yes, you can do it,
and he actually had the jersey for um, you know
what I mean. I'm presented it to him in the
press presser. But I think this is totally out of bounds.
And I even think even with Kim Ward, you should

(45:26):
make your own identity. A numbers retired, leave it retired.
It was retired for him, for him.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
For a reason. That means he was great. That's what
fans remember.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
That's the only reason your numbers retired, not because they
were tired of giving it out to people, you know
what I mean? Like, can I wear Baby Roots number three?

Speaker 6 (45:50):
No?

Speaker 3 (45:51):
You can't wear Babe Roots number three.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
No, you can't wear Lawrence Taylor's number fifty six, no,
Warren Moon, No, have some some self awareness there you
go and and just said, you know what, that's nice.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
I want to make my own identity.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
I want to be able to have a number play
great and people remember me for wearing that number.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
You know what number?

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Nobody have to worry about, which I should say Aaron
Judge when he gets his number ninety nine, like you know,
like there's a lot of No, he's wearing a number
that the probably right that nobody really wears, so you
won't have to have that issue. But there are a
lot of those numbers. Teams that have thirty two, thirty two,
twenty four. Willie May's wore twenty four. There's a lot

(46:41):
of those number one right where it's going to be hard.
Even Lebron had twenty three, like Michael Jordan, I thought
that was a mistake, like like to wear that number.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
I don't know what his number was.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
And maybe he wore twenty three in high school or
whatever because he liked Michael Jordan or whatever.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
But you get you get my point up about it, right,
do my And another thing to to add to this
is you don't want an instance to Simons staying on
the number, like number fifteen in Denver. Now we're all like, well,
what are they gonna do Carmelo And obviously Joki just
has a better career than Carmelo. But I'm just saying

(47:18):
if your thought, oh, one day we'll get to we'll
get to honoring Carmelo one day, well, well now it
gets weird. Well Carmelo's going with that fifteen and then
but Carmelo's going into the Basketball Hall of Fame now, yeah,
and so that would be weird not to retire his
numbers exactly. We're shopped it there, yea, even.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
Though they didn't win anything, and I get that. And
when they gave it to the joker, it tells you
that they weren't thinking of Carmelo Like that, doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (47:46):
I mean, for you, no, faciously, for even an instance.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Because an equipment manager, they know which numbers to pull off,
you know what I mean, Like like even before they
retired Derek Jeter's number two, nobody's getting him.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
So that was a great example. Imagine some new hot
shot young shortstop gets drafted out of high school. He's
the new one, and he goes, yeah, y'all got jeter
number phone number? Why so I can call him and
ask him? Can I wear that number? Two? Sir, you
are not have a see young man. Let's talk. Let
me show you. Let me show you what the locker
room is, Let me show you what the clubhouse is.

(48:20):
Let me show you where this is where we normally
go to get our ankles tape. Like we're gonna completely
move on from that question you just asked me, because
there's no way you just asked me. Can you to
give you dere GED's phone number so you can call
him and ask HI about the number two? Right, And this
is the thing sit there, like, what's wrong with that?
I think?

Speaker 1 (48:35):
I think, I think it's totally out of bounds. And
I'm curious to find out.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
Maybe we're maybe we're wrong, maybe we're.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Old school and you think it's inbounds. Is it in bounds?
If you are a great player, like we just said it,
warn Moon is gracious and said kim Ward, you can
wear my number even though it's retired. And here's the
other thing. If kim Ward does great, are they gonna
re retire it and put up another number one?

Speaker 3 (48:59):
We're gonna be a one point? You want to a
one b?

Speaker 1 (49:02):
Like like that's the point, Like, I'm great, I'm gonna
want I want to have a great career when my
numbers retired and it's already retired.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
Yeah, it makes no sense. I think number fifty.

Speaker 1 (49:11):
Six when I think of the giant uniform, there's only
one player, Lawrence Tailor. There might only be one player
in all of NFL. You think at number fifty six, right, seriously?
Like I mean, if I said fifty six, you go
Lawrence Taylor. They're not gonna say no, I'm talking about
somebody else. But that's your initial thought, and I'm not
my last one. For me, I'm not mad at Lawrence
Taylor saying.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
No, no, because he's within bounds and woo. I put
in too much blood, sweat, tears. I put in too
much time. I won super Bowls, like, oh, we're not
doing that. I put I He didn't just play. They
were a great tail, great team, memorable. I'm memorable. The
jersey numbers memorable. Also, he might have some type of
I don't know how it works with like the nil

(49:51):
like as far as his deal, like when the number
fifty six giants jersey, I get that a dollar of
the sale. We don't need no mix ups for you
get the dollar way it's his fifty Okay, well you
none up. And he played in the era where the
money ain't like it is now. I need every dollar.
That's why you see older heads like him signing autographs
pulling up to Vegas. Do they make a lot of money, Yeah,
going up to take pictures and sign helmets. So yeah,

(50:13):
I just I have no problem with him saying no
equally as much as I have no problem with Warren
Moon being that gracious but I think it's up to
the you. Would you be warn Moon or would you
be La especially key part if i'm Lawrence Taylor as
good as Warren Moon was, and maybe great if he
was allowed to play earlier in his career in the NFL.

(50:34):
That's was great in this conversation for another day, Warren
Moon was spectacular. Lawrence Taylor is iconic. I'm not giving
up that blue fifty six. They letting you have a
young man, go get a fifty seven, go get eleven.
I think that's what he wore. Penn State, you know,
do your thing, and but fifty six in blue and
the giants all the hell I've been through in life,
the ups and downs, that means something to me. And

(50:56):
I graciously say no, thank you, young man. I'm holding
one of this same thing too.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Like the idea war Moon is in the Pro Football
Hall of Fame, that's the kind of that's that's the
kind of cond He was unbelievable in the Canadian football
Don't look he wanted to count.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
He's insane. It was insane, throwing up, throwing the football
five thousand yards before the high schoolers in my neighborhood, Hamilton, Hamilton, high.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
School with my neighborhood here in La Warren Moon. But
but I'm just like, are you kidding? Like even to
ask him? I would be embarrassed to even ask he
was a Hall of Famer. Why would you even? And
I don't know what kem Ward if he asked him
or not.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
I do not know guy, if he was being kin hee,
I know you already wore this number, young man. I
don't want to look out. You don't have to worry
about it. Maybe, So that's why I said, I'm not
mad if Warren Moon chose to do that. And I
think it's fair to say if you're a Lawrence Taylor
or someone like that, and if you're Barry Sanders number
twenty and you're like, no, we ain't wearing and Detroit
now like that's people.

Speaker 1 (51:57):
Would probably not be happy if somebody tried to put
on the twenty serious, just like New York.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Hey, all right, young man, were looking forward to you
being here and helping us get another banner, but you're
not wearing the break down fifty six. Lawrence Taylor is
the Giant, all right?

Speaker 1 (52:10):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
Where are you? Hey, Ron Parker? You mind if I
tell everybody I've been covered the league since nineteen eighty seven, No,
you can't, cause you haven't been.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Would you be Lawrence Taylor and say, hell, no, you
can't wear my number? Or would you be Warren Moon
and welcome it and say sure without no problem whatsoever?
What side of defense are you on? Kelvin and I
we don't agree on a lot, but we agree on this.
And it's no way know how we're giving up our

(52:45):
number to a new rookie player. I don't care how
good he is or what the situation is. You made
your name and fame with that number and it should
be yours.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
All right? Boys? We went eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
