Speaker 3 (00:25):
Rob g to Dodgers are in trouble or not met
Some people might think they're right where they want to be.
Last night they lose six to two, and for the
most part, it looked feeble for the most part in
the playoffs is look feeble, guys, if you take away
the wild Card round over the Reds, where they just
(00:48):
obliterate at Cincinnati.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
The Dodgers have hit just two twenty four in the postseason,
a massive drop off from where they wear by almost
forty points from when they were in the regular season.
In the world, they're hitting two to oh one. That's
a two to oh one and two hundred without a
single extra base hit when they have runners in scoring position.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
That's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
The Dodgers' bats have popped a Zanni and fallen ashat
Heyo not only.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
That, can I give it to you.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I'm here to proclaim to all Los Angeles Dodger fans
and all baseball fans in Baseball America that the Dodgers
are officially deaddea d dead.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
They are dead.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I know people are saying, they're no way Mookie and
Freddy and Old Donny's gonna go out like this. They
just have to win two games. They can win two games.
They can thirty on a naked you know, start getting
some hits and all that. Have you watched them? That kid,
that rookie yesterday, he got the perfect name. Last name,
(02:03):
you save it, just take out the yeah, just called
him savage.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
Savage. He was savage boy.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Twelve strikeouts and hitters one through four, one for fifteen
with eight strikeouts. Can I tell you, Kevin that three
of those four hitters are en route to the Hall
of Fame. The only guy's Will Smith the catcher, right,
but you know what I mean, The other three Otani, Mookie,
(02:32):
and Freddy are en route to the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
This kid made mince meat with them. He did. He went,
I can't nobody can defend it. They defend it.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
But I just if you're buying into this idea that
some magical switch is gonna be flipped tomorrow Friday, and
all of a sudden they're gonna get ten runs and
then they're gonna cruise win the next two games. I
don't think you've watched this series at all, because not
only and here's the saving grace.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
Yamamoto's been unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yamamoto is going to pitch a no hitter in the
dead saved the Dodgers season.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Kelvin.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
He getting the one bad pitch tomorrow and it might
cost him. That's how fragile the Dodgers' offense is. Yamamoto
gives up a two run bomb or a three run bomb.
That's it in the game, an era a walk and
somebody hits a three run bomb and you say, that's it.
That's all he gave up was the one home run,
and the Dodgers might not be able to score four
(03:32):
runs because they haven't been able to do it.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Look, the reality is, you ain't lying, and you know me,
I like to tell you when you're wrong, I like
to yell at you, but you ain't wrong when you're right.
And I think what has happened is the Dodgers starting
pitching over the last month of the season prior to
the postseason was a Sophora.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Miss Mary Mack.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
It was a Matt counter you know how to Mac
counter get with the ladies, to make up counter at Mac.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
You know how Saphari is with the ladies.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
It was a makeup that masked how bad their defense
had been because they were so spectacular. Blake Snail was
Andrew most of the year, got back in the form. Yamamoto,
who knows what his record would have been if he
got some more run support. You you know his season
and there again is what I'm talking about, and I'll
give you that. So throughout the season yamamotos record could
(04:24):
have he might have been signed. You won, and if
he could get more run support that he got horrible
and the bullpen did him in so much throughout the season.
Then you got Otani getting ready going and Glassdow gets
back healthy. Point is they massed the offensive woes. And
one thing I've kept saying while I picked the Dodgers,
you gotta at least give it to me. I kept
(04:44):
it real said their offense has been terrible. They just
have gotten timely hits. That's all. I've said, meaning like
there have been any two to two games and then
they get Will Smith will hit the one, or somebody
will get a double or something, and then they'll win
three one or three two. And so I've been fully
aware of the Dolphins hadn't been great. They've just gotten
timely hits, which they haven't got as of recent The
(05:04):
reason why they're still in this thing is what you said.
It's because of Yamamodo. He has been spectacular all season long,
and he has to go again. And he's the guy.
If there was you could say, we're putting this entire
team on your back in the whole city, it's him.
He's gone complete games twice in this postseason, might have
to be thrice. And if he goes and does what
(05:24):
he does, even if he gives up two, you got
a shot. If this were anyone else, I will be saying, Man, Mary,
cue up the you know this song, it's all over
it's a rap, But today he gives them hoping. And
once you get into grade seven, it's a crapshoot. Anything
can happen. But he is a singular reason why I
go they've got a chance. He's been spectacular two complete games.
(05:46):
Maybe doesn't go complete, maybe gives you eight. But he
can do that. Somebody has the offense has been disrespectful.
The offense has to be offended, and you look at it.
Mookie was terrible this year except for the last month.
Remember that he had a make. I think it was offensive.
I think it was Player of the Month? Was it
September of August? Up until the end, A lot of
(06:06):
the guys hadn't been spectacular. Now is the chance to
do that. But more importantly, Yamamoto is this singular reason
why I still have hope.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
Seriously, if it were last night was up.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm nah Robison Ratt and he's been great too, But
nah Ib Brett Yama Moto is the reason.
Speaker 2 (06:21):

Rob g.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Somebody's podcast has just moved to another platform and they're
just debuted on their new outlet or whatever. Uh who
the he's he thinks he's a part of the new
media or whatever.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
He actually owns the rights of the new media. Yeah,
that's good, he can have it. Hell with the new media. Wow,
you could have it.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
I'd run a mentor like seventy eight, young man, But
new media is now where it's at.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Who was the guy back in nineteen eighty five there
was Rob Parker was coming.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
He was like, screw the new media, this young Rob Parker.
Who is this guy? Screwed?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Rob Ryan's like, f Rob Ryan trying to hear it
what he pays on, trying to hear nothing you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
It's funny you mentioned those names because back then, like
Bob Ryan covered the Boston Celtic. If I took you,
I wish we had video and the whole nine yards
and you looked at the people who were, you.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Know what I mean covering.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Teams like Mike Woolbon and David Aldridge covered the the
uh not even the Wizards, the Bullet bullets, the Washington
Bullets back then and all these you would go to
these cities and all these big time columnists and and
analysts now.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Will all beat writers covering teams.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
And I was a part of that during that uh
uh you know development of my career.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Shaughnessey, Dan shaughnes he covered the Red Sox.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
Of course, big time columnists had.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
A good book I read about the Celtics that that
you know, the Celtics. But yeah, but screw the new
media and these new young whip snappers all that but
Gucci Jackets.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
But Draymond Green his podcast on a new network, but
he's still out here dropping hot takes. And this week's
topic on his podcast was none other than the explosion
of Victor Wembanya. Just to give you some context with
what Wenby is doing to start off the season. Obviously,
the four no you mentioned that.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
I watshed the new media would tell me something I
don't know. He's telling me that Wemby's good.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Hang on, give him a second than they could have
telling me that Wemby's good.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Oh, he was the first one to recognize that Wemby's
good through the first Green is incredible.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
His his sight for time.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Did you call him dra monster domins? I bet you
you don't got a Wemby a jingle like I do.
We'll tell you that much.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
I mean, like I can we have the jingle?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
No, I had that jingle way before he was putting
in forty points a night.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
I was on. I was there when.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Mary says she's not playing it, but anyway, Wenby is
averaging thirty one thirteen point a rebounds, about five blocks,
three assists, the game dominant to start off the season,
so much so that Draymond Green thinks that Wemby could
actually sweep the NBA Awards season this year.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Just like he said he should win the Defensive Player
of the Year last take a list.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
We must talk about Wimby.
Speaker 7 (10:03):
He was almost trying to go out ads if he
got something against him, and and not that it was
in a manner, but he dunking and screaming like he was.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
He was.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
He was on one game three comes, It's like this
is this is what he on. He's on like I
want the next MVP AWAR and I don't want it
like then, I want it now like.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
He he's he's stay.
Speaker 7 (10:24):
At this pace, at this level, He's going to be
like m v P d P o Y Most Improved Player,
like he gonna be in position to compete for all
those awards.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Everyone knows Twin. One more time, Mary, Come on, everyone
know everyone.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
You know?
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Yeah, one more time? Mary, we got We one knows
Twin Elijah.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Every time I just think I like you, I'm like,
that's my Man's a honey green.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
Then you do something like that, Elijah. Here's the thing.
It's dope. But the problem is now I gotta see
it all the time. And here now you're gonna make
you want to play that. Mary, one more time. Here
we go. Every one knows Tim Hey, Elijah, Dagg Eliza,
he's not as sweet. I can't lie. That's great. Let
me tell you. Let me tell you something. Dang it.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
This has nothing to do with Winby. Let me tell
you who a gross You know we talked about Austin
Ree's about to earn a paycheck. Let me tell you
it's underpaid around here. You don't know how much Rodgy, Elijah,
Mary mac Alex, Well Manci, tod me get you in
here too, well, Monzi, especially now that YouTube numbers going up.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
Look at that. See things don't act like you know
what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Don't don't do that right now, Mancy, y'all are grossery
under pay because the fact that you brought up the
winby Now we got a winby thing for every time.
It's ridiculous. Now getting back to the subject at hand
with Draymonde. All right, we gotta put that out. I
don't know, we don't.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Yeah, we do.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Gotta put it out like a candle, like a candle,
put that but nobody put it out.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
You're not getting this anywhere else. They're not even doing
this since san Antonio. You know what you're not about
to get you. We knows twim. Let me tell you something.
On my drive home. Guess what I'm calling. Every one
knows a twim.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I'm calling my agent on the drive home, and I'm
telling my agent if we don't re up and put
this in the contract, that you get seven of those
a year's used in wisely now, dre Monstra domis listen.
The only time I ever uttered the words that somebody
has the potential to be what Michael Jordan is was
(12:50):
Lebron years ago and I was like, yo, this you know,
and I don't want act like I was Wow, you
went out there on a limb. It was just you
saw something so unique and you saw hockey tribute. It
was like you saying water was wet but right. But Lebron,
I haven't said anything like this, not Luke and not this,
not Steph, not that, not Yanni's not that. When you
see where when you see where Winby is right now,
(13:12):
it's not just the numbers, rob because people are gonna
put up numbers. James Harden put up crazy numbers, Steph's
put up crazy numbers, Yannis puts up crazy numbers a.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Year in, year out.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
It's his desire to win, and it's his on both
ends of the floor. He cares about both ends of
the floor. And I think what is gonna translate more
so than just him. The Spurs are going to win
back how they used to win rates like the rate
of winning. They're gonna win seventy percent of their game,
seventy five percent of their games, And that to me
is what the sign is. It's not just you being great,
(13:42):
it's not just you having numbers. He absolutely wants to dominate.
He wants to dominate. Now. We talked about this yesterday.
He wants to play. He doesn't want to all thena
sit out. I'm gonna do this. He wants no excuses,
and all he cares about is winning and team's success.
And that's what makes him fascinating to me. And he
wants to play both ends. He shoots the ball, he
also gets down and with Dunkle, you take advantage of
(14:02):
your your biggest heck, take advantage of it. Block shots,
challenge shots from the free throw extended down, Every shot
is challenged. That's what I love about him. And Draymond
is right about this. Who knows if he will actually
win it, but Defensive Player of the Year is that
that's a shoe in he's had. He had that last
year and he didn't win it. He had he got injured.
He had it was a given, everybody knew he had it,
and then he got injured. Most improved, he's got a
(14:24):
great chance to win.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
That could win that.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Why wouldn't he because everybody already knows what what what stopped?
Speaker 5 (14:32):
What was different? From last year other than them being injured,
is what he's taking it to another here's why.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
And the NVP is up for debate because obviously there's
a handful of people who have something to say with that.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
But they he's gonna win all three is preposterous. It's
not gonna happen because if he were to win the
m v P, they're not going to give the most
improved player.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
They'll give somebody else if.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
It was if he was, because because they already know
what kind of a player he could be.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
This year, number two, he went blood clots number two.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
That's the reason why I'm gonna sit here and tell
you when you say, oh, I'm gonna put him next
to Michael Jordan's dude.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Dear so long.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
He got such a long way to go. Of course,
you've already mentioned the blood clots. We already know that
guys that tall don't get to play that long because
usually there's some foot or ankle or there are leg
issue with guys that size. And he's fragile. You know,
he's fragile. He's been he's been away fragile because.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
He's at blood clots hurt. But he looks like a
guard are bigger and stiff. That's where the feet hurt.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
He looks like a giraffe and and those legs can snap.
I'm just saying.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I'm just saying that, man, I've never seen a seven
foot five person look like Roger five foot two. I'm
saying that the idea of him not experiencing something guys
that tall normally.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
I'm just going by normally in the NBA. I mean,
he's Manew Bowl with a French accent, you know what
I'm saying. But he looks like Steve Francis or Baron Davis.
How did Manew Bowl with the stick figure legs. I'm
just saying now, Bowl looked like he was seven to seven.
And the other problem is too is the blood clots
(16:21):
scare me, you know.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Like what I don't want to play.
Speaker 8 (16:25):
Yeah, I'm rich that I'm not a doctor. I'm just
saying that that he's already experienced. I have no pushback
on that. Blood clots are a serious thing. And we
learn more about him and so I put I don't
push back on that. Talent, skill, assets, it's all.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
In the Madan will have to wait to see.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Kidding me well, but it doesn't have to be Michael Jordan,
meaning it can be different because Kareem was Kareem and
many thought he was the best ever. And Michael Jordan
looks nothing like Kareem, so it doesn't have to look
like the person. Patrick mahonmes looks nothing like your goat,
Joe Montana. Patrick mahon was a completely different than Joe Montana.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Yeah, because Patrick Mahomes ain't a goat. He's already lost
to super Bowls.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
What goat he very much could end up being to
go I'll give it to you now, hes still got,
you know, seven eight years to make a case for it.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Losing doesn't make you not the goat, Mike.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
In my case, when you talk about Joe Montana was
four and on the Super Bowl eleven touchdown no picks
his quarterback rating ever for a super Bowl quarterback.
Speaker 5 (17:26):
He won two with Jerry Rice, two without Jerry Rice.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
We've seen Patrick Mahomes play two awful super Bowls and
his numbers are great in the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
But I'm not gonna argue that because you can.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
I'm saying is I can't. I don't go based off
simply a super Bowl. This is why y'all want to play.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
That was the case, and then Dan Marino would be
the goat all right because he didn't go to the
Super Bowl. People talent, No, you gotta win. Come on,
Marv Levy went to four straight Super Bowls as a
call man.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Be no, leave that man beeve it be minding his
own business and you can Marv Levy, tom Izzo and
who else is it?
Speaker 5 (18:05):
Just be minding their own business?
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Oh, what's the what's g what's the cornerback for the
forty nine ers that dropped the interception of Kawaan's guitar?
And no, nobody knows Sequancy tart All I know is
Beef Tartar. And you always bringing him up minding his
own business?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Well, because he helped Matthew Stafford get that illegitimate championship.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
I'm just saying, boy, you act more. You bring up
illegitimate more than Mary Popovich. All right, you bring up
a moy Mari. What's the man Povich? Roy Popovich? Don't
know Greg Papovich brother, don't be screaming?
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Who like?
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Y'all know who I'm talking about. It's only TV show
for twenty five years.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Rob G we got some news. Uh l you you
know they got to write a big check for Brian
Kelly and the governor.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
The governor governor lloguvnor llguvnor. He ain't like really feeling it.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
He's like, wait a minute, he got he said, bump
anything else I got to do?
Speaker 5 (19:17):
And we do have sound?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Is this the governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, he ain't
having it.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
We are not going down a failed path. And I
wanted to tell you something. This is a pattern.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
The guy that's here out at road that contract cost
Texas A and IM seventy something million dollars.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Right now, we got a fifty three million dollar liability.
We are not doing that again. I can tell you
right now.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Is not selecting the next coach.
Speaker 5 (19:42):
Hell, I'll let Donald Trump select it before I let
him do it.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
I don't know, but the Border Supers is going to
come up with a committee and they're gonna go find
us a coach.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
By the way, he also said Trump could do it.
He's a winner, and he gave he said a lot unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
But my thing here is I understand where he's coming from,
because you're talking about the ad who right fired two
coaches and and what is it seventy something million, seventy
six for Jimbo Fisher seventy six and now what fifty four?
I think it is fifty three or fifty three? Four
(20:17):
year dude, that's just correct. And he's like, remember it's LSU,
Louisiana State University. So Rob, g stop me if I'm wrong.
One of the boosters is gonna pay a sizeable amount,
but the State of Louisiana has to pay the rest.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
He's a state employee, and that's what he's talking about.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
You got a problem with this with the governor stepping
it or how this is gonna go down, because no
matter what deal the new coach gets, there will be
a buyout.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
But I understand my language in the next buyout is
not gonna be fifty four mil. I don't not gonna
be fifty four mil. That's all. Yeah, that's a whole
lot of money.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I think the reason why I'm apprehensive is I don't
mind the rhetoric of it all, meaning that he's passionate.
He loves the State School. I don't know if he
went there or not. I have to look that up,
but you know, I guess the passion. You know, it
is on the hook, and I love the fervor, and
I love that he's passionate about the school and what
it means to the state. The only thing I get
(21:22):
when you start getting a lot of politics into that,
it gets a little, it gets a little gets a
little out there, you know, and I can get a little,
little little sketch, because then it can become it just
can be.
Speaker 5 (21:33):
We kind of didn't play the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Some other stuff he was saying about current administration, and
he was he went on that whole Well, the only
reason why I say that, there's a reason why I
say that. The only reason I say that is because
currently where we are, and you know this, we talk
about some of the stuff on the air off the air.
Speaker 7 (21:47):
Is that.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
If you don't align with things, or if the if
let's say your players come out and say something. Let's
say they come out on their Twitter and they say
something I don't agree with the administration about something, which happens,
kids say something to get onto It happens all the
time every NFL Draft. There's a kid who has to
justify something they tweeted or something like that. So my
only thing that's concerned is that that. Then it gets
kind of it can get political in that sense of
(22:13):
ties like, well, if I picked you, you're my guide.
If you're somebody said something about me or anti me
or what I'm what I'm about, then you're my guy.
But that's when they again leading the whole, When you
listen to the whole thing, he said, it goes a
little further than just simply like I'm passionate about the school.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
It's not about being passionate the school.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
The state is the money for If USC decides to
give rid of Lincoln Riley, they pay. They have to
pay the freight. Private school, all right, it's a private school.
If you see La fire, somebody, they gotta pay it.
That's a state that's state run.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
I don't like you, Rod because you have other things
to do. We got people who need better education. I
got food that needs to be better, we got we
got homeless.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
We can't we can't.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
But we can't do that because we're giving somebody fifty
four million dollars to get lost out of the state.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Coffers. And now I'm I'm with the governor. You know
how much money you MutS be bringing in that you
can play fifty four money? Well ls you care, but
bringing it? You know how much money? College football?
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Who's the highest paid official in most states, the college
football head coach.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
I'm just saying, so money checks.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
But he's saying that the A D is the author
of two of the hugest payouts, And I'm.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Not doing it again. He didn't do it.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
He didn't stop the guy from getting hired, even though
he did it with Jumbo Fisher. Right, you see what
I'm saying, Like he's saying, the guy in charge, the
a D is the author of two of the biggest
fire the AD. No, I'm but you get what I'm saying.
Then you have to fire the AD because that is
a centially eighty on all you do. I have no
(23:44):
problems with that.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
But he needs to say that AD needs to be
fired because all the eighty A D ain't gonna be
doing this one. He ain't gonna be working either, because
an AD job at a big foot, at a big program.
If you're an AD at Michigan Ohio State, usc LSU
your job.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Who's hiring for basketball?
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Maybe if it's a big school, but one hundred percent,
who'd you hire for football?
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Did you handle a scandal? Even at Michigan? What they
do what they do to Jim Harber. They gave him
a pay cut.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Remember after they lost and they had that bad year
and they lost, they the Jim Harball had to eat.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
A pay cut. He did well.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
He also had a pay cut because it was one
of them you gotta take a pay cut because we
keep putting out fires with you.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
It's all these little fires that key, you know.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
And there was always a little something something going on
with him that Michigan and then obviously it led to
the big things. So yeah, you gotta I don't like
like he can have an opinion, clearly, but I would
rather let the school take care of the school. If
the school's making mistakes, school's make mistakes, school's getting right,
schools getting right. But that's the school's business. I don't
(24:44):
need him jumping in and uh and wanted to control
that at all. You got a lot more of other
bigger fish to Froy.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
No, you don't.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Not bigger than giving some football coach you ran out
of town and you gotta write a check. Let me
tell you how American you sound.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
We care more about sports, you know, Rob g When
I'm not even looking, I guarantee you Louisiana schools public
schools and are probably the worst in the country. Haven't
even looked. I guarantee you that some of the worst
in the country. You know what, they haven't still gotten
out of outside of downtown. And we were just in
New Orleans. They're still going through it from post Katrina
right now the real residents, not downtown in the nice areas,
(25:23):
but it's still it is. Bro Let the football take
care of the football.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
No, we need come fix these level because because of
the record of the A D who's done it before.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
You got to get somebody in. But don't need you
making a decision. But that was his point.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Gotically was like, governor, you're not doing it again, not
letting you do again. Work us over like a burger
and fries and take twenty exactly twenty four double burger.
You left that part out. It was double but still no,
you got more stuff to do. We got rugs, we
(25:57):
got school, we got homeless, we got bit into this
burga it was the tail on the back end. I'm
just saying it was just sitting there.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
It was a beef. It was a whole cow. Should
have been for twenty five dollars.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
No, I just when the state, when the state's involved,
at some point somebody has to be fiscally responsible to
say and fire to I'm cool with far into a
d because you can't keep just giving away money.
Speaker 5 (26:21):
I always wonder about that.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
By the way, guys, last season in twenty twenty four
to the twenty twenty five season, LSU football reported one
hundred and seven point nine million dollars in revenue and
after expenses a fifty two and a half million dollars surplus.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
They're doing all right, Yeah, but I'm not giving that
k of coverage to buyout yeah, one year, stretch out
their sports that they have. Yeah, but he what he's
saying is the bigger picture that this ad is the
author of too massive And so we know the worst
one wasn't totally his fault. No, I know, but I'm
but he was there and they basically don't want then
(27:01):
you tell them he should be fired and let whoever
the new eight is do with your job.
Speaker 5 (27:07):
I don't have. That would be like that.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
That would be like the AD saying, you know, our
schools and roads and homeless is terrible.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Here.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Hey, I'm voting in the next governor.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
Yeah, but but here's my problem, governor, here's the problem.
We could say that on everything, you know what, no
matter what, we live in California. Oh what about the homelessness?
Speaker 5 (27:27):
What about this? You can sit there right, you can
say that about any state. Then let me do that, Okay,
And just like you could say some eights are choosing
some terrible coaches. No, you know how many coaches get
fired every single year. They got to buy out.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
I don't have a problem with them firing them, but
I'm just saying I understand why the concern is. This
AD has been a part of two really big payouts,
and the state of ill of the Louisiana has to
foot part of the bill.
Speaker 5 (27:56):
How many colleges did you go to? Thirteen? I went
to Queen's College, at.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Your college, Missouri, Columbia, Southern Connecticut.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
All right, so that was twelve. You went to twelve colleges.
And education is something that matters to you. What's the
educational ranking right now?
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Love?
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Rob g In Louisiana their.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Highest ever according to US News and Report, thirty seventh.
So they're moving up and that what they are now.
They were ranked at one point. We're forty nine, then
forty third, now nine out of fifty. Now there thirty
seven doing big things. Man, that's what I'm talking about.
Worry about that, Rob g. Where's Eastern Michigan on the list?
I'm just asking this into the louisianata of the state,
(28:37):
not the college. Look at you, Southern Connecticut too, right,
where Southern Connecticut?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
You know what the list? They're number one. In my heart,
I'll tell you, I tell you that you can't.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Tell me nothing. I bet they ain't say nothing about them.
Don't you try to take shots to that Easter mean,
I'm talking about the whole state. You want to take
shots to school. You act like you getting some freaks
into the Sugar Bowl, getting some tickets or something.
