Speaker 2 (00:28):
Rob g. We do have news coming out of Miami.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Welcome to the city where the heat is on, not
that bent Welcome to Miami.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
Don't play that song because you'll have to be say
goodbye to Miami because it all signs pointing to to
a tongue of byloa days being numbered down in South Beach.
Talked about a little bit yesterday, and now it's been confirmed.
Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins are benching their QB
one to a tongue of by Loya. Not only is
he being benched, he's not even the backup anymore. He
is now the emergency third quarterback behind rookie Quinn Yours

(01:02):
and Jets legend Zach Wilson. According to Mike McDaniel, he said, quote,
Quinn's getting the start, because he gives us the best
chance to win to his future uncertain.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
You want to go first, Well, look, it's simple to me.
Tua is a product of when you're not the it person.
You know, you ever been rock when you were out
in the streets, rob or you looking at a young lady.
You got the perfect girl, and you'll get a lot
more grace when you look the part.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
If she's exactly how you like.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Physically, she's five whatever, she's got these assets, she's smart,
she's got this great smile, she's not missing a tooth,
she's got a wow. I'm just saying her, not you.
She's got a job, everything great. What you know, what
you'll do? You're a lot a lot.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Of grace when she ain't.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
When she's stacked like that, when she's got it going
on like that, you start to allow, well, maybe she
snapped little attitude of me, or yeah, well maybe she did.
She has a little late problem, but I can deal
with that. When she's got it going on like that.
It Tua is the opposite because he's the little engine
that could. We always are looking for the faults in Tua.
You know, Tua is not strong enough. Tua is too small,

(02:15):
his arm isn't this he can't really run. And I
think part of it also stems back from college. He
was a little backup that came in and had a
nice Disney moment and came in and saved the day
in a big game.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
And I think he always viewed that way.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
I don't think you've ever been viewed fully as a
franchise guy, at least particularly in the league, and now
it seems within his own organization. And I also think
he is dealing with the concussions where you still look
at him as man. He's a hit away, he's a
hit away, and then when he does something great, you
gointa ignore it. I don't know anybody who's had more
nice games that we never bring up. We never bring

(02:50):
it up. We don't talk about it. That's a good game,
that's a great throw. We just move on. And I
also think he is being the byproduct or the scapegoat.

Speaker 6 (02:59):
For a lot of cho down there in Miami.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Mike McDaniels let them run an asylum at times, a
lot of miscommunication issues, guys aren't happy, guys leaving, talking,
bad guys on the team. Tyreek Hill loves him, then
he does it now he hates him again, and I
think he's kind of become easy to be the scapegoat
or the fall guy. I'm not saying he's been great
every year. He's got fifteen interceptions, he's leading the league.
You don't want to be that, obviously, But what did

(03:24):
we talk about last or a couple days ago.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
They went on a four game winning street.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
They had quietly been getting better and better and back
to what they hoped they'd be. And I feel like
he often can be the scapegoat. But again, I just
think he is because he never had the assets. He
never walked in as the big guy. He's never been
the Justin Herbert prototypical. He looks the part, feel like
he was always fighting an uphill battle, and anytime that
one of those issues would arise, it was confirmation bias.

(03:51):
Why he is not the guy? Why Tua ain't that
And that's why, because he's been equally as good as
many as bad as we've made it out to be.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I agree with you, and I think this whole things
it stinks. It wreeks. I'm gonna call it a tool
fish because it's that bad.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Could go for some right now, but don't laugh out.
I told you laugh. I got my hand over my mouth. No, seriously,
this is outrageous.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
This is a desperate coach who's trying to push the black.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Before the last game, which was bad, I raised my hand.
It was bad.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
He played poorly. They had just won four games in
a row. What are we talking about? I wish somebody
down there in Miami would have said to the coach, right, Uh,
this season, Tua has a higher passer rating.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Than Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Jane Daniels, and only one point behind where Patrick Mahomes was.
That's the guy you're benching for two scruw behind him,
and he's.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
The third underachieved. Okay, he was supposed to be that
guy and they never worked out. So you don't act
like he's that guy. Right, This is what I'm saying.
And in his career, if you compare him to his
peers like Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert and Jordan Love, guess what.
Tua is Number one and win percentage, number two in

(05:22):
passing yards per game, number two in passer rating, and
tied for first in Pro Bowl nods.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
What are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
No wonder Miami weeks, a bad tua fish.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
What is going on?

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Look at the man as the whole and he dropped
the seventy piece and we're not talking about nuggets.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
That was seventy full pieces of chicken. Do you remember
the game?

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Like what do we?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
It's always two toward's fault, no matter what's going on
there in Miami.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Because he was a toss salad, you know, because he
got banged around. They always look at it like, whenever
something goes wrong, just blame that guy.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Blame the little lefty who can't stay healthy.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Seriously, but the numbers, would you bett justin Herbert, I
just gave you.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
These are his peers.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Man. You know the league is still drooling waiting for
him to become the guy exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
It doesn't make any sense. It's mind boggling. And you
wonder all the time why certain organizations don't win, why
the Dolphins haven't won since indeed, Moby Dick was a guppy.
I mean that is so fitting for those fins. Those
are that organization dead fish laying around in the water.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Awful.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
I just think too, the issue with him, and I
was telling Rob g this, I think the other issue
with Miami specifically is Mike McDaniels hasn't been as bad
as it seems at times, and Tua hasn't either, But
when they're bad collectively, it looks.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I'm done with Mike mcdannel r. I don't care if
he's black or white. I don't care.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yes, you do either way.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Michael Jackson, are you talking about right now? I kid
you not. I looked at Elijah.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I's like, there's no way Ron Parker's defending a black
quarterback right now.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
He's like, he's not black, it's not black. He makes sense.
He's the Samoan Sniper is his nickname.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
But I'm talking about the coach, coach who doesn't even
know what if he's black or white.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I'm just saying the issue with them is they fizzled
out in the playoffs that I told you, we talked
about this last season. You got mad issues, Tyreek Hill,
this guy, you know, the big story comes out. Mike
McDaniels has all these guys coming in late, never checking him,
and so then Tua has to be the guy to
kind of check people, and it doesn't really seem authentic
coming from him. So when they aren't great, it is

(07:49):
also then becomes a spectacle down there, and that adds
to why it looks even worse because they, as you
mentioned there, they haven't been bad together, the coach and
the court as far as how they've been over the
last five years since they've kind of really started their run,
they haven't been horrible.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
But when it is horrible, it looks bad.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
When it is horrible, it's a lot of yak in
yact and talking and beef and guys don't like this,
and now Tyreek Hill putting the h the thank you
out there, you know, or sorry to peace sign, you know,
and then saying little stuff by the way, I don't
like Tyer Hill drives me crazy one minute. You'd love
to remember. Oh he's more accurate, He's more this than Patrick.
I'm saying. Look, I'm saying, don't be my guy, and

(08:32):
don't be my guy. The chips or the chips on
you know down do not be my guy. Now if
you ride with me, you ride with me. You know
what I mean. I don't like that. I'm not a
fan of fair Weather, but yeah that I Tua hasn't
been great. You can't have twenty touchdowns of fifteen interceptions,
but the idea that he is the reason why this
team has been mediocre up and down, or to act
like he's fully full of blame. Mike McDaniel, I do

(08:53):
need you to get some of that mirror and put
some of that the half that smoke on you too.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
I need you look in that mirror.

Speaker 7 (08:58):
Two eight seven nine on Fox eight seven seven nine
six sixty three sixty nine is to a getting a
raw deal like this is sushi in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
I'm just saying I do like some spicy tune of
that was really good.

Away, rob G. Last night in Las Vegas? Was it
a big crowd? Was it a solout crowd?

Speaker 6 (10:02):
I was surprised that a few stars up in there.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yeah, but this December is not like the greatest time
to go to Vegas, which is kind of weird. But anyway, Uh,
the Knicks beat the Spurs for the NBA Cup.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
Rob G, Yes, they did.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
They put on quite a show and it surprisingly, even
though he ended up winning the MVP, it wasn't just
Jalen Brunton that got it done.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
They got Oj and Obod did good.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Kat was okay, Josh Hart was rough, mccal bridges was rough.
That you guys need to get your minds out.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
What you gotta hold on now.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
They went into the fourth quarter down seven and found
a way to come out and storm to an eleven
point victory thanks to the bench mob of Mitchell Robinson,
Jordan Clarkson, Tyler Kohlik. And because of that, the New
York Knickerbockers are now the third official winner of the
NBA Cup. What sets them apart from the previous two, however,

(10:54):
the Lakers two years ago and the Milwaukee Bucks last year.
Is Unlike the previous winners, the Knicks have decided they
will not not be hanging up the banner at Madison
Square guarding this despite the fact that they have hung
up a single banner since making the Eastern Conference Finals
in nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Could I do this for the New York Knicks?

Speaker 6 (11:14):
What you're gonna do?

Speaker 4 (11:14):
I'm gonna stand up. Okay, I'm not getting up on
the table. Those on radio he's standing. He's applauding. Thank
you for not getting on the table last time he
almost died. Why are you applauding?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Because the New York Knicks had the guts, the cajones.

Speaker 6 (11:30):
How do you almost die again?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
How you almost die sitting down to tell Adam Silver
that this bogus NBA Cup is illegitimate. That's what the
Knicks did. Bravo, bravo. Shame on the other teams that
hung those banners. Shame on the Lakers, Shame on the Bucks.

(11:53):
Take them down. You should take them down now, because
the Knicks are telling you what really happened in this
discussed even before they wanted that if they wanted, they
would not hang the banner. The Knicks haven't won a
championship since nineteen seventy three.

Speaker 6 (12:09):
I thought, Dick, now you go on.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
The Louisiana purchase was an S one, and think about this,
of all teams dying to hang some sort of banner
to say, look at us, look at what we did,
the Knicks did not buy into that. They're trying to
win a championship. That's the banner you raise, or a
retired coach or retired player, those are the only banners

(12:32):
that should be raised inside your arena, stadium or whatever.
When you start putting up these little phony, gimmicky milestones,
it's ridiculous. And Adam Silver, I mean he begged the
Lakers to put the banner up because he knew that,
you know, like to make it try to be legitimate.
And now if I'm the Lakers or the Bucks, I

(12:56):
would definitely be like, why did we put like seriously,
I would I would really question it because the Bucks have,
They've won championships in their history, won a few a
couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
We know about the Lakers with all the banners.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Okay, really, when the Lakers put this up, Robber, you
you remember I questioned it.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
I really did.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I thought, why would they?

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Why would have a proud and story franchise put up
some gimmicky banner that didn't even mean anything. Asked Darvin Ham,
who got fired despite winning the first one.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Starvin Darvin's your hands out of pockets?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
But that didn't help them. They didn't go How can
you fire me? I won the NBA Cup because it
doesn't matter? Adam Silver, is this on?

Speaker 8 (13:40):
The Knicks?

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Just threw a wet blanket over your NBA Cup? They
don't valuate, fans don't valuate. Come on, man, this is
not soccer. Can you stop it? Don't make the NBA soccer.
You guys are ryan too hard with all these gimmicks

(14:02):
and stuff. Just play basketball. Make these guys play.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
You want you?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I got the plan you want to. You want to
know how to get these guys to play.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
If you're healthy and you don't play, you get zero's
in your scoring average across the board. You tell me
guys would do that? That would crush your lifetime career average.
If you got zero got fifteen games of zero points?
Am I rising that hurt?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
That would hurt you that if you're playing and you're
not hurt.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
And if you do, say claim that you're hurt, you
gotta miss a minimum of three games if you claim
that you're hurt, right, and we can't all right, he
says he's hurt. You can't come back. So you can't
just miss the bad game. You might have a big
game or a rival or TV exactly, So you gotta
miss at least three games.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
All right, that's interesting. It ain't gonna work, but that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
I do like I'm mad at it spinning around ideas
and now, so that's where I'm also not mad, Like
I think we're at the NBA in he's in tournament.
It's here, it's here to stay for now. Obviously, I'm
silver been kind of licking his finger. Put in the air,
in the wind, and see where the wind's blowing. But
a couple of things. I hear what you're saying, but
I ain't buying it. You know how I'll buy it,
Rob Because all them nick players went crazy when they

(15:16):
know they're about to get a half.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
A million dollars.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
They jumping around, going crazy excited about all that money.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
So if you don't want all that money, how much
is that after taxes that they're at their tax bride.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Do you know how many of them dudes are the
last third of that team? Half a million dollars is
real money. That's two hundred thousand dollars. That's real money.
They actually they even broke it down. Some guy's only
making a million and a half two million. You already
know give half the tax and give half to agents.
Now you're telling me I'm gonna get another two three hundred.
That's a lot of money stock And as we always
talk about you money.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
In a salary. Come on, man, you're in the NBA,
you're a million.

Speaker 6 (15:52):
Thousand.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Guess what they gave me, Rob g I work every
day here, and if they came in and said we're
gonna give you an extra you know, two hundred thousand
dollars for doing the same thing, sign me up.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
They don't even count the stats as playoff stats.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
But my bank counts that money.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
They don't even count the stats.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
That's how important.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
No, I'm not acting like the end season is like
now all of a sudden, you're champions. But to me,
you can't act. You're hanging a banner, right, and so
to me, a couple of things. A thing doesn't become
a thing until it does. And what I mean by
that is the nd season tournament right now is new
and ten twenty fifteen years we might be like, that's
a real thing. Just like if I told you was
a god that I'm not listen, Yes, I'll tell you why.

(16:33):
If I told you a guy was an All Star MVP,
you would have been like, all right, now that's a
real thing. We start doing qualifications. He's a ten times star,
he three time All Star MVP. We start reading off
things that become things. So I get it. I'm here,
I'm with you now that it's not I'm not saying
it's a champion.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Arvernham couldn't even keep his job and he wanted Darbham
could have helped by looking like he wants to come.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
That's my point that it didn't mean it. But at
the end of the day, it didn't mean that.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
I'm not disagreeing, but I'm saying, is this is the
first that was the first one.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Then you have three of them and all now in
the third.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
And I'm not saying you got to make a spectacle
and have a parade, but if you get half a
million dollars to each player, that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
Money, and that's a real thing. And if the Lakers
put it up.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
To your point, the Lakers got millions of championship banners,
what is it eighteen of them. They got some of
the big name players over there.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
I don't care.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
You can put it a little small one over there,
because they you know what people put up. They put
up division titles, Pacific West title and NBA Central Division titles.
They put those up there too. I'm just saying, Rob
g Ain't that the story that the league begged.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Them to do it?

Speaker 6 (17:41):
I remember that for the Lakers. Yeah, they asked them.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
The Lakers are the wrong team to win though, because
they only hang up me anbach.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
No, but that's because they do it right. That's what
they should. Every other team doesn't. Well, but they don't
do it right. The Lions have like they won the
North for the first time, and.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
A lot of teams do that. A lot of teams
with Central Division in this division. That's a lot of teams.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
The one thing I will agree with Kelvin on is
it's really ridiculous that they're like, hey, we're not going
to hang up this banner because we know we're only
hanging up championship banners, right, that's what we're worried about. However,
in the postgame celebration, they're popping bottles, they're saving they
got the smoke machine. Any chance to call Anthony Downs
was facetiming Ben Steeler and Timothy Shallon May in the

(18:27):
locker room exactly like they did. So don't tell me
it doesn't matter to you when you're doing all of
the history onics. But you're you're worried about looking cool.
I don't want to put the bat. You're in the
moment problem.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
The game is over. They got free champagne. Come on, man,
and confetti's falling in your hair like Dandre there ain't.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
No, it didn't matter. Just said it didn't matter. But
obviously it does matter to them.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
No, but I'm saying, you're not gonna be like, all right,
oh dude, this is what's unbelievable that we won the
NBA Cup.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
You're a baseball guy. They look like they won a
wild card.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
So they play one hundred and six two games.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
What I'm saying, no, But what I'm saying, no, no,
but the NBA teams look like that is what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I'm not mad at baseball. What I'm saying, is the
NBA team look like I think that that thing is
a sham. It's a it's just a made up phony thing.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
But it literally is though, like it's exactly My point
is nobody up something till it's something.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
No, everything doesn't work like that.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
They made made up a spring football league and people
don't show up. You know what the NFL, well, yes,
the NFL has done all the NFL's done europe leagues,
they've done, all kinds of leagues they've been involved.

Speaker 6 (19:34):
Was terrible.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
And all I'm saying is you could start something, act
like it's something special.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
No, cast my check. That's a half a million buying it.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I can't wait to hear from fans and are you
buying into this? I just they're buying it with a
half a million dollars robed eight seven seven ninety nine
on them.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Five soon as Rob Parker won, Hello, US Bank or
somebody yet, No, don't let him catch a check. He
talking smack.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
I wouldn't take my check.

Speaker 6 (19:59):
You know what you love? You love money? Stop it.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
You'd be right there and you'd be mad with some
sunglasses and a big old hat on casting your check.

Speaker 6 (20:07):
Yeah check, yeah, my nd season tournament. Check.

Speaker 3 (20:11):

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Rob G, can you explain it? Because I want to
make sure we get the description right. I don't want
to say anything out of turn. I don't want to
lose my.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Gigid a lot of even though you've already let's let
me be the one who gets his job lost for
the holidays.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
Now.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
The real thing that happened after they were they had
won the NBA Cup. They're all celebrating, cat is raising
the trophy, smoke machine, confetti everywhere during the celebration. For
whatever reason, Josh Hart, who was standing behind Jalen Brunson,
sticks his thumb.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
Up his rectum. Oh wow, attempts to it looks like
it was poked him in that area whatever he was
trying to do. That's a massive contrast.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
And what's interesting about the video, if you haven't.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Seen it doesn't get fired is their friends.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
Obviously their roommates. They host a podcast called Roommates. You
know they're really they're best friends, right, yes? On the
video Jalen Brunson immediately snaps at him in anger like
face to face, looks pissed off. Nothing physical happens, It
looks even Josh's kind of taken it back by Actually
he should have though, but that obviously became if the

(21:38):
Knicks winning the Cup and not hanging the banner was
the headline. The sub line was by the way, Josh
Harden Jalen Bresn't had a very awkward moment on the.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
The first thing I thought of when I saw was
I thought of Tom Thumb. I think that's Josh Hart's
new name, Tom Thumb. This is the Tom Thumb theme song.
And Kevin I got one question, did he say duty

(22:10):
in this?

Speaker 9 (22:10):
I think he knew? Was he ahead of his time?
Did he knew what was gonna be coming? Dude, I've
been covering sports. January sixth will be forty years. January sixth,
twenty twenty six, will be forty years. I have never ever,
ever in my life seen something on a platform or

(22:31):
stage of that. Have I seen some crazy stuff in
locker room the clubhouses. The wonder story I told you
is as crazy.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
As he gets.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Okay, I've heard play. We've heard a shack store, crazy
shack story.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Here's a video out there with Anthony Davis when they
pull his sports shorts down and he's down there on
the floor and they're all laughing, and they recorded it.
We've seen all kinds of stuff, Guys popping each other
with towe, wet towels out of the shower, all of that,
and all of that fits to me in the confines
of this sacred, sacred place. Right it's a webhouse, clubhouse,

(23:06):
whatever it is. But to be on stage with cameras
everywhere and people looking and to think you're gonna do
that now, I think if Brunton didn't react, I.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Would be more worried, like you know what I mean,
Like it didn't.

Speaker 8 (23:20):
He okay, Yeah, if Jalen Brunton just kept it moving Monty,
did he say duty?

Speaker 6 (23:34):
What did he say? No, you ain't lying. Jalen Bronson
would have just yeah, we're just happy to be here.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
If we fall hard for this, and you'd be like
Jalen's you ain't notice nothing, brother man?

Speaker 6 (23:44):
This look okay? Wow?

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Am I wrong?

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Right?

Speaker 6 (23:46):
You're right about that? You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
He should have reacted the way he did because he
was like, taking aback. That's the problem the back. Now, listen,
you look up josh Art, you google him. The first
thing that pops up a Reddit page Josh Hart, Stick's
thumb and forbidden Place, continued on, Nick Starr caught in
four K, sticking finger and teammates sensitive area, Josh Hart's

(24:11):
highly suspect print on Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, so on
and so forth. And I said that to say, as
Mama Dub used to always tell me, Rob, listen, there's
a time and a place for anything, meaning, hey, that's
what you choose to do, y'all have fun. Obviously I
sent you and Rob g somebody put a whole little

(24:32):
reel together of all the crazy wild stuff they've done
to each other.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Interviews kept smacking the butter?

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Was that the and then they just have the only
interview too? Didn't he say inch for inch or inch
by yes? Other thing that that was?

Speaker 6 (24:45):
He said.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
He was like, you're the best player an inch for
inch and Jalen said, whoa. So they have a whole
line of things. Josh Hart continues to play. Now here's
where it gets go some fun, having fun. It gets
a little like all right, and look, the problem with
this is you've now put Jalen Brunton out there in
a sense of like, now I.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Gotta answer this, Now, I gotta talk about this.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Now.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
This is what y'all be doing, is how y'all oh, oh, oh.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Your roommates and you don't how many ex players did
you see on their podcast?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
All oh all, Josh is all he's out of pocket.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Man, Man, we'd have a I'd have an issue if
he touched me like that.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Here's where it gets challenging, Rob Josh Hart. It's thirty
years old. If he were a rookie nineteen twenty, you
know they coming so early. Now I get that, all right, dude, man,
he's big time grown. You start with a three, you're thirty,
that's big grown. And you did it on that literal
stage where everyone's you're the only game in town.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
You've just won the trophy.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
He's the best player of the team, so the cameras
are on him, and that's when you choose to do it.
And now here's where I worry about. And you know
this about life over compensation. Now, somebody here, Jayalen Brunton,
I gotta really prove I don't play that kind of stuff.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
That ain't funny to me.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
So now if a teammates does something stupid, you know,
gets a tie, like you said, hit him on the
butt or during the game or something, now he almost
socks him, gotta do you know what I mean? Seriously,
trying to overcompensate because like otherwise, Oh, this is what
you just let all that kind of stuff slide. And
this is where you get people who go too far,
do too much because of that.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I'm telling you, I'm dead serious. Where's the Knicks next game?
Rob g where's the next game?

Speaker 6 (26:28):
I can pull it up real quick.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Somebody find the schedule.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Seriously, Yeah, the next next game will be tomorrow at Pacers.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Okay, if I'm Indiana, I'm out front selling T shirts
with Jalen Brunson's face and it says thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
That's what I got.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
That's the worst part about this is brunt selling t shirts.
It's gonna go away from Josh Hart to Brunton. You
get know what I mean. It's gonna be he's gonna
be the one during free throws. They're gonna be screaming stuff.
And that's the worst part. And this is where I
will be mad as his best friend. I about it
in living color. Remember the movie reviewers, Oh man, it's

(27:05):
they could do that and have those two on there
with the knicks with thumbs up. All right, Rob, you
got one more? And I'm starting to think you're the
one that's gonna be creating these shirts.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
I would be. I'd be out in front of Indiana
selling them.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
Yeah, And I just think we're messing messed up. Man,
it's a time and the place.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Dude, Come on, we having fun on the on the
on the plane, whatever on like you said, in the
locker room or you know, we at the hotel. You know,
I walk into the room like, okay, boys and we
boys kind of a thing. I get that, which, by
the way, I was never in it. All that's a
little bit. All right now that's doing go too far.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
But but but you but you understand the behaviors. You know,
I'm saying happened.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
But that's why I keep saying, do not. Why would
you do this?

Speaker 8 (27:39):
Now?

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Literally the most visible time you could ever do something
like that on a stage and a championship, you know,
the cup championship while we're being ringing or getting our
money and celebrating whatever it is makes zero sense. And
uh and now I wonder again, this is where over
conversation happens, right, this is where Draymond Green punches Jordan Poole.
And are you a punk? You let somebody punch you? Now,

(28:01):
if you're Jordan Poole, like man, somebody ever touched me again,
I'm laying them out because you overcompensate. But I would
you be all right with that if you're a radio teammate.
Don't look at me. But some other you know, just
did something stupid like that? No, I mean Tony the
day thirty years ago.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yeah, we'd have to fight.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
No.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I just it was just like, I'm not that and
I'm not and I'm not that sensitive. I'm not you
know what I mean. I'm really I'm.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Not that sensitive or overly sensitive or or so like
conservative that you can't play around. And guys play around,
and I get it. We all have friends and buddies
and say stuff to each other and whatnot. But this
was on a grand stage and I think that's what
made it so weird, made it so weird.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Rob g.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
We want to bring you into on this because.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
No, big yeah, no, yeah, whoa WHOA, what I mean,
you were surprised?

Speaker 2 (28:56):
But is it all over?

Speaker 6 (28:58):
Is it? Is it?

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Is it.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Worth talking about?

Speaker 1 (29:02):
I'm just saying like, as people go on, could people
make fun of Jalen Brunson or Josh hard you know?
Going forward? It was something that everybody saw.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Well, I wasn't surprised because I've seen their interactions before
and they do a lot of not like that level,
but you know, Josh harvillan behind the back, I'm on
the buttons, you know, like they'll make little snide comments
to each other during their pocket or during on the
day as while they're doing NBA Playoff pres contra. They
have that kind of relationship and can you tell that

(29:33):
they're very close but.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
You go back a really long way. None, None of
that's questions. Yeah, so, but.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
To your point one thousand percent, this is going to
be a thing moving forward. Right anytime they have another
one of those exchanges, this video is gonna get played again.
Anytime Jalen Brunton goes into an opposing arena, there's gonna
be a photo of it. There's gonna be something on
a videos. Even I wouldn't be surprised if it in
arena video camp like shows it on the big screen.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
They're gonna show that.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
I think the NBA won't allow that. I think team.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
Let's say that they get it off the first time
and then but like, this is going to happen because
Jalen Brunson is one of the best players in the league.
Way getting at his team is the favorite right now
to make the NBA Finals with me. But anything you
can do that's gonna throw him off his game, get
him distracted, get under his skin, is going to happen.

(30:30):
And now it's like, like you guys said today, the
story is Josh Hart and what he did now forward,
it's because he's the thumb recipient.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
What I mean, technically he is.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
You're right, And honestly that's the part awesome for real
stuff that I will be upset as the friend because, Bro,
now I'm the one.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
That has to deal with this. Oh that's what you do,
that's what you take. You know how how y'all play.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
I gotta do it. I gotta get with the shirts.
I gotta deal with my phone call. I gotta like
now I have you can kinda full you know what
it's like, it's not apples to apples.

Speaker 6 (31:08):
You know what it is.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
It's kind of like George Hill misses the free throw,
but no one talks about that be cause they.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
Talk about j R.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
Smith, you know, doing the goofy not putting the ball
back up, and George Hill gets to kind of slide
and hey, you make the free throw.

Speaker 6 (31:20):
We're up.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
When we win the game, and that's gonna be Josh Hard.
It's gonna like kind of slot go away for him
because he's a culprit. But it's gonna all be on
Jalen Bronton moving forward. And that's the part that sucks
if you're him.
