to get there and maybe win a Super Bowl.

Finally, Kyle Shanahan has been there.

Twice lost lost as an offensive coordinator with the Falcons.
Just he was a terrible job at finishing that game
against Tom Brady and them had a chance to run
out the clock, run the ball or whatever.

Got sacked, a holding, got knocked out of field goal range,
and tom Brady not only got the touchdown to two
point conversion and then won and overtime. Just a terrible,

got no love for Kyle Shanahan zero. And what I

mean by that is he's got to finish the job
and win a super Bowl. We've seen this movie, winning
a lot of games in the regular season, players in
and out.

number one in the NFC. So I'm gonna give Shanahan
credit for what he has achieved. But you're right, Rob,
he has to win the big one, and if he doesn't,
he'll just be remembered as a good coach, a coach
that one game couldn't finish the job, could not finish
the job. You know who he would be if he
does not get this job done. He reminds me of

Andy Reid before he got it done, when he was
in Philadelphi, when he was in Philadelphia, right, they went
to four NFC exactly and could not get the job
got to the Super Bowl.

look at like your strength, like like people weren't given
the Bears and Caleb credit. Go to Philadelphia, Yeah, show
it that, go win Nagat And they went in one game. Okay,

not like pooh pooling the season.

now because if he does the same exact thing and
they have this easy path where they stay at home
and they can play the super Bowl at home, and

we're gonna have to buy and then you got two
games at home Washington comes in with a rookie quarterback, Bezza.

Williams played outstanding. I know he didn get the touchdown
at the end of pull that out the Cardiac Bears,
But just your thoughts on Caleb and his progression and
where he is with the Bears and their record this year.

Well, I would have never thought that the Bears would
be where they at right now. But we got to
give credit to the offensive line for the Bears. They
probably talked three top four as far as the offensive line.
They averaged four and a half yards per carry. Hey,
Tayler playing really good. And I'm not a fan of
the nails. I gave them a lot of shit at
the beginning of the season about his nails. And actually,

I have to paint my nails this week on the
show because I didn't think they were win over eight games.

former teams in the Bengals, And obviously every year coming
into the season, we always kind of crowned them as
one of the most dangerous teams in the league because
they got Joe Burrow, they got the receivers Higgins and
Chase and all that, but their defense has been bad
for the last I mean four or five years.

Exactly how are they going to fix that team? We
know they're usually you know, cash poor when it comes
to you know, having the money and having the resources
to get it done. How do they get that situation

I hate when people say cash They got the high
pave receiver in the right you know, they got the
third highs paid quarterback. They've paid Joe Burrow, they paid
Chase and paid Tiga, and I also played the d
N that only played with two or three games that
was meaningful of this year. So like I ain't gonna

say the cash court now, the way they choose to
spend their money could be worked in a in a
in a different way. But we got to get some veterans.
We need a veteran offensive Lindman. We need a veteran linebacker,
a veteran safety. And when I say veteran, I mean
like that to make some place that understand what louis

trying to do. I mean Lou, I Miss Lou, Damn
I do, Miss Luke understand what we're trying to do
as a defense. I just don't like the match coverage.
And I understand he was good in college, and you
know what I'm talking about him saying no names, but
the coordinated in college. But it's a lot of what's

the word, it's a lot of it's no, it's no
principles to the defense. When you're playing match coverage, Like
I hated it. I played it in Denver. It wasn't
I want my man, give me my man, let me
handle my job. But when we're playing match coverage, when
they come out in bunch, well you got this guy
if he comes this far. There's no principles in the defense,

if you ask me. But I do think that Joe Burrow,
my sources said, that's what the conversations have been about
the last couple of weeks, about that we need veteran
guys on defense, or you gonna spend money to get
us some veterans on defense. Offense, they'll figure out the way.
When you score thirty something points a game, or even
twenty four points a game in the NFL, you expect

blame on Joe Burrow. He got the receivers paid. They
didn't leave money for defense. I mean you can't.

talk about Pittsburgh in general, this team, this team was

for Pittsburgh would have been to win a win a
playoff game, and that would have been different and that
would have brought different life.

I think the Ravens are gonna win this. I actually

been bad all year and when they need games, Zay
Flowers fumble no I'm somebody somebody does likely fumbles or
drops the ball over, Yeah, Derek Henry fumbles, Lamar fumbles,

I'm just saying like like this is how their seasons
have ended, like over and over. I'm not just and
you know, I'm all about Lamar. I don't even know
if he's playing or not, you know what I mean.
He had a back injury, so I'm not sure he's
playing or whatnot. And if he does, I just can't

count on them. They've been so disappointing and would not
I'm gonna say, if he does play and they get
to Pittsburgh or whatever, could they I get them losing
the game on some costly fumble or interception or something bad,
like they always do. And that's what they've done carry
and that yes, like they don't they very seldom. If

you look at the losses that they've had in the postseason,
it's usually self inflicted.

of them are going to get in. Who would you
have more faith than winning one game in the playoffs
between those twos.

Just he was a terrible job at finishing that game

does not get this job done. He reminds me of

to four NFC exactly and could not get the job

it that, go win Nagat And they went in one game. Okay,

give credit to the offensive line for the Bears. They
probably talked three top four as far as the offensive line.
They averaged four and a half yards per carry. Hey,

the beginning of the season about his nails. And actually,

for the last I mean four or five years.

third highs paid quarterback. They've paid Joe Burrow, they paid
Chase and paid Tiga, and I also played the d
N that only played with two or three games that

say the cash court now, the way they choose to
spend their money could be worked in a in a
in a different way. But we got to get some veterans.
We need a veteran offensive Lindman. We need a veteran linebacker,
a veteran safety. And when I say veteran, I mean
like that to make some place that understand what louis

trying to do. I mean Lou, I Miss Lou, Damn
I do, Miss Luke understand what we're trying to do
as a defense. I just don't like the match coverage.
And I understand he was good in college, and you
know what I'm talking about him saying no names, but
the coordinated in college. But it's a lot of what's

the word, it's a lot of it's no, it's no
principles to the defense. When you're playing match coverage, Like
I hated it. I played it in Denver. It wasn't
I want my man, give me my man, let me
handle my job. But when we're playing match coverage, when
they come out in bunch, well you got this guy
if he comes this far. There's no principles in the defense,

if you ask me. But I do think that Joe Burrow,
my sources said, that's what the conversations have been about
the last couple of weeks, about that we need veteran
guys on defense, or you gonna spend money to get
us some veterans on defense. Offense, they'll figure out the way.
When you score thirty something points a game, or even
twenty four points a game in the NFL, you expect

Yeah, both of these coaches are in the same position. Yeah,

Four, Yeah, they they should be fired. They both need
new voices. And that's not an indictment on them to
his head coaches. They both won, They've both done really
good things in this league for a while, but it
just comes they both won Super Bowl. Yeah, there's a
point in time where your voice becomes redundant, to become stale,
and you need first voices in there. And when you
talk about Pittsburgh in general, this team, this team was

never good enough to.

Win it all anyway.

So, like you said, if the success for this season
for Pittsburgh would have been to win a win a
playoff game, and that would have been different and that
would have brought different life.

But I don't see that happening.

I don't even think they're gonna win this game Sunday,
So you may be losing this, bet Ron. I think
I think the Ravens are gonna win this. I actually
think they're gonna the Steelers gonna win.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
And you know, yeah I do because the Ravens have
been bad all year and when they need games, Zay
Flowers fumble no I'm somebody somebody does likely fumbles or
drops the ball over, Yeah, Derek Henry fumbles, Lamar fumbles,
Andrew do you remember Mark Andrews drops the ball drops.

I'm just saying like like this is how their seasons
have ended, like over and over. I'm not just and
you know, I'm all about Lamar. I don't even know
if he's playing or not, you know what I mean.
He had a back injury, so I'm not sure he's
playing or whatnot. And if he does, I just can't

count on them. They've been so disappointing and would not
I'm gonna say, if he does play and they get
to Pittsburgh or whatever, could they I get them losing
the game on some costly fumble or interception or something bad,
like they always do. And that's what they've done carry
and that yes, like they don't they very seldom. If

you look at the losses that they've had in the postseason,
it's usually self inflicted.

Put your put your better side. These two teams, one
of them are going to get in. Who would you
have more faith than winning one game in the playoffs
between those twos.

Well, just because of the history of what the what
the Ravens have on paper. Yeah, so I agree, yeah,
on paper, but that's not who they are and that

can't like not see the forty points in the opener
and they lose that game in Buffalo, you know what
I mean. I can't see the forty points they gave

you know, and and and.

You could say this is my super Bowl pick.

And I'm telling you, you know, normally I want my
pick to be right, so I could be on that bandwagon,
but I'm changing because it just doesn't feel right. That's
what I'm fighting normally, be like, all right, they got
another chance, my pick is still alive. Let Lamar get
in and then they're gonna roll all the way to
the super Bowl.

That sounds good, but they haven't done anything this year
to make.

Me feel like this postseason, if they were to make
it would be different from any other.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
I got you. No, I agree with you on that.
It doesn't feel that way. But I'm always I always

don't I don't disagree. But it hasn't worked for them.

When I look at that roster, I cannot believe Zay
Flowers a pro bowler with more interceptions and touchdown what
Derrick Henry never was a fumbler fumble lightest.

But then he comes back this past week, can have
two hundred some yards.

Rushed, right, also that he could have four yards on
twenty carries.

You know what I mean? On Sunday? I don't know.

I just they don't feel good to me. I wish
I could have as much confidence as you.

What were the two losses that they had at home
like they had before the big game with Derek Henry.
They lost two games at home back to back.

Another game they were at home that I was like
had they run off like five or six and they
had the chance and everybody got back and you thought
they could make a run.

Loss to the Bengals on Thanksgivings what it was, and
then they lost to the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Yeah, I was like at home, Yeah, those I like, yeah,
you gotta win those. Yeah, you gotta win them. You
gotta win those at home. I just that's when I
lost it for him.
Speaker 5 (26:16):
And I believe that against New England, they had them
dead to rights until the fourth quarter when Drake May
had like a perfect fourth quarter, and they lost that
game too.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
And that's what we've seen all right, eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six
sixty three sixty nine. If the Steelers lose on Sunday,
should Mike Tomlin be fired? I'm raising my hand
