Rob and Kelvin debate whether or not Lamar Jackson and the Ravens can recapture their magic. Does Lane Kiffn deserve all the credit for Ole Miss success so far? And the Rams to play all their starters in week 18 with nothing to play for. Is that the right or wrong call?

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I thought that ran onto film. First.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
I thought he looked more like Phiel. He looked a
little younger, and uh. I walked right out, said what something?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
How you doing?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
And he oh snap, and he just kind of does
the whole danceing. Oh man, I listened to you, man,
you will Rob and a couple and just goes on
and on and all. And the whole dentnist office. Who
I've obviously I've been there and they're like, oh wait,
is he somebody do we need to do? We need
to change up some things how we do things. So Rob,
I'm working on getting you a free tooth. I said,

(04:58):
y'all come take care of my boy real.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Quick, and I need it. You know, I'm just shying him.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
So but shot to Philly said, he listens, he rocks
with us. Man, and he said he loves when I
actually get on here and start singing stupid songs with you,
because he said I can carry a note.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
And then he said, no way. Now he wanted me
to tell you that I think that has to go
on my tombstone. Right.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Well, listen, your tombstone is good. It's gonna be somehow
as long as a CBS receipt. Alex has a whole
bunch of stuff on there.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Alex, I want you to to uh hold this prom
I want you to hold his promise. Okay, Okay, I'm
not even kidding you. So you're there that day, you know,
tears are coming out of your eyes.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
I'm balling out.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
It's like, okay, you know he's on to bigger and
brighter and more glorious place.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
And all that Golden Girl's cruise exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
But before they closed the casket, just slipping a twenty
eight ounce of baby oil.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Just just drop it in there.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
You got it.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Okay, I'm gonna send you looped.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Up rob Hey, Alex, do not allow them to close
it down.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Got my word without the baby oil. And then if
my family gives you a hard time, said, this is
what he wants you got it. Man's man, you will
have baby oil. There you go.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
All right, now listen, that's gonna help you fry extra crispy.
You better help you go up. That doubt glistened up
like that, you might be fried. You might have gave
it some Chris, go down.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
It's all good. All right, Hey, let's welcome in the
odd couple crew. We wouldn't be able to do this
fine radio program without him.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Alex, of course is our engineer. You just hurt from
Alex of course, no doubt. Lee to Lap is our
producer and for Rob g Hey, hey Lee, Lee, Lee,
there you go. Steve the Sagres at the anchor desk
and Steve us updated throughout the program. Never heard of it.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
And of course never heard of it.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
And of course, oh boy, Elijah, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
That is funny social media guru, one of the best
in the business. All Right, we got a lot to
get to on this funky flashback Friday. And uh, let's
start with the Ravens and Steelers game. Obviously, that's the
Sunday night game. It's the game everybody wants to watch
because it's it doesn't matter because because one team is
going to the playoffs, winn the division and the other

(07:28):
one's going home.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
So there's a when whenever.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
You have a game of that magnitude and everything's on
the table, it just speaks for itself.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
It's something you want to.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Star quarterback names to Aaron Rodgers one of the all
time greats Lamar one of the best of the last six, seven,
eight years.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
So yeah, there's a lot a lot on it here.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Here here's the rub between me and you. You believe
that they still can put it together and still make
a run in the postseason, and I'm gonna say no,
but I'd love to hear your case first.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
So you and I have both preseason. We both picked
the Ravens to make the Super.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I'm glad you said that because I did pick them,
But I'm not there anymore right now.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I'm clearly not.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
I don't think like that wouldn't be my pick right
now if you say the AFC. But the reason I was,
you know, as we think about who's gonna play, we
get the reports that Lamar is gonna play. He said,
obviously I'm one hundred percent going you know, I'm never
gonna quit on this team. John Harbady, They talked to
even Lamar mentioned the fact that all the reports that
you know he's not watching film and all that he's like,
y'all think John, let me fall asleep in the film

(08:26):
room and all that. So there's what my point in this.
It's not so much that the Ravens have been great
this season. We know they've been on and off. Hents
why they're you know, their record hints why they're in
the position they are. And is that to me when
you have the one of the most skilled in the
last few years. I've caught him, the best quarterback, best player,

(08:47):
and you you've sat there with me, agree with that
when you have him, when you have a running back
that we all agree that there don't feature him enough.
And Derrick Henry could be the key to them moving
along and getting it the postseason. Well, they're rushing. They
leave the rushing in rushing yards per a tip. They're rushing.
When they rush the ball like they did last week
over three hundred yards, they become very scary.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Right then you look at what they can do offensively.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
They can be eleventh in the league and scoring offense,
averaging twenty five points per game. So I'm looking at
it like this, if I have a Lamar Jackson who's
relatively healthy, nobody's healthy healthy at the end of a
long season like this, and I'm featuring King Derrick Henry
again like you should be. You got a thousand yard
receiver and Zay Henry or Jay Flowers. I'm sorry, and

(09:33):
you and I have talked about this, Rob. It's always
some weird, fluky, crazy thing that happens if they can
just not shoot themselves in the foot, not beat cheddar
Bob from the movie as of course eight mile. My
whole thing is Rob, They've got a shot in the
sense that to me, there's no Bohemoth in the AFC.

(09:54):
Maybe it's the Patriots the most complete team, maybe I'll
give it to them, But aside from that, there's no
complete team. You look at the Bills. They're relying on
Josh Allen. That's pretty much it. Receiving corps is not
great running game with James Cook. Sometimes it's there, sometimes
it's not. In The defense can be spotty as well.
I still don't know if I believe in what the
Broncos are able to do despite their record, And then

(10:16):
I don't know about justin herbing the Chargers they's good,
sometimes they're not great. So if you're the Ravens and
you can punch your ticket with him, with Lamar Jackson,
we run the ball bar with Henry and you don't
shoot yourself in the foot, I'm like, hey, you get
in the tournament, you got a shot. Because the AFC,
in my opinion, none of the teams do you look

(10:36):
at and say, that's a complete team. That's a boheman,
that's a team you gotta worry for about, except maybe
maybe the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yeah, here's where I'm gonna push back, And I think
it's wishful thinking. They just haven't been good all year
and everybody keeps giving them the benefit of the doubt
because of their roster on paper, just talked about it.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
It's nice.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Oh yeah, Derek Henry had this big game. Yeah, let's
just do that. Well, here's the problem. They have a
bad coach and John Harball. They've had terrible game plans
every time there's a big game. Do you remember the
AFC Championship game where they didn't run the football against
the Chiefs and they threw the ball all over the field,
And you said, everybody after that game went, what is this?

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Who what team is this?

Speaker 1 (11:25):
They run the football, but in that game plan it
was passing Zay Flowers you brought up going to the
Pro Bowl with two touchdowns and three intercepts, three fumbles,
right like, like two touchdowns and three fumbles. That's your
your wide receiver there, Lamar. Ever since he's come back

(11:47):
from injury, go look at the numbers. They're awful. They're
not They're not not good. They're awful. He's been awful
since and now he's coming off another in with a
back injury, trying to go out there and play too
many issues. They scored forty points in Buffalo, they lost.

(12:09):
We've seen in and out of the defense. Nothing has
been consistent. There was a point when they had a chance.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
To get right. And you'll remember this.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
They had two games week thirteen, in Week fourteen, both
at home, both against the Bengals and the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
They lost both games.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
They lost both games thirty two fourteen and twenty seven
to twenty two. That was their season to me right there,
They had a chance to get that going, you know
what I mean, put something together that gave up the
game against the Patriots. At the end, I can't count
on the defense I can't count on the coaching. I

(12:47):
can't count on Lamar, I can't count on say Flowers.
I can't count on Derek Henry, who has fumble lights.
Who can I count on? I can't count on anybody.
I've been picking the Ravens for three years. No, mass,
I'm not gonna do it to myself anymore.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I'm expecting everything to come together all of a sudden
after everything has been awful all year long. When if
they played great, there that one game of twenty four
to nothing shut out. Oh yeah, they got it back together. Whatever, dude,
I'm not buying a Ravens.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
I'm not listening, Rob. I'm not mad at you by that.
They're not the Ravens that you and I hope they
would be no preseason when you look at roster.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
I completely get that.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
And again the big one of the big components for
me is that this is one of the rare seasons
where again Tom Brady h is not sitting there with
the Patriots, and so it's like if they if they
if they were if they went up against the Jags,
you know, if they if they marched up against them,
if they marched up against the Texans very great defense.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Sex is are incredible defense.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
And I think you're looking at it at and I
hear you, but you're looking at it at the Lamar
playing MVP football like that, like you're.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Well, looking at fully like that. I picked it.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
I picked him.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
But I'm saying, if Lamar was playing really good, then
I would buy that. He's gonna look at his numbers, Kelvin.
He's not close to what he was a year ago.
And he got off to a great start the first
three or four games. He put up forty points in
Buffalo to start the season and they lost.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
And do you trust John Harbaugh and his game plans?
I don't. I don't trust it.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
The thing for me, rob is again, if they're the
way their team is set up, if they can, if
they you brought up earlier, if John Harball uses his
brain realizes that I have a six foot two monthster
back there and runs the ball, And if Lamar Jackson,
taking a week off or so, has gotten a little
bit healthier, realizes that he can run the ball a

(14:55):
little bit more and that he can, you know, get
if they don't shoot themselves in the first How many
games are you and I talk about this, should they
have won Lively catches the ball, they got a couple
of games where he didn't fumble in the end zone,
or they could rule it not a catch. You got
Zay Flowers if he catches the ball, and they could
win some games. They have had some games that they
could be sitting here automatically in the poleseason. Let alone

(15:17):
need to win because maybe they're sitting here at eleven
and you know it would ultimately a chance to be
eleven and six. So I'm saying this season particular, the
way the AFC is set up, the way Lamar is
still that talented, and the way Derrick Henry is, if
they can just get in that, I wouldn't want to play.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Shoot, I gotta play that guy.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Yeah, that's what.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
That's what everybody said last year with the Lakers and
Lebron and Luca.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Oh you know what, Okay, Lamar Jackson is not seventy
two years.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
You don't want to see those guys. No, I'm just
saying Lamar Jackson, Okay, that was off for Rep though.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
It's all I'm saying. And this is off for Lamar
rep not how he's playing.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Now.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
You go look at his game logs recently. There's no
reason for me to believe that he's gonna come out
and throw four touchdowns, no interceptions, have one hundred and
fifty quarterback rating or whatever it is. I just don't
see that. I would be stunned, That's all I'm saying.
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Kelvin is all in on the Ravens today.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
They can make it what you said, They can make
a run if they you.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Put so many als in at all row. There's a
few too many als.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
I'm not buying the Ravens. I think they lose to Pittsburgh.
I just think the season that they've had does not
convince me that they're gonna flip the switch and beat
a team that we thought they would be when the
season started.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 4 (17:06):

Speaker 1 (17:20):

Speaker 4 (17:29):

Speaker 5 (17:30):

Speaker 4 (17:34):

Speaker 1 (17:48):

Speaker 2 (17:53):
I'm like, all I want to do is just chill out, have.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
A good time.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I had the big birthday for the sixtieth, so I'm cool,
you know what I mean. Seriously, I'm I had af
I buy it.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I'm not saying you're doing a doing something.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
You're too playing, you're too calculated, you got something up
your sleep, You're.

Speaker 4 (18:12):

Speaker 5 (18:17):
I'm gonna go get a steak, baked potato, maybe broccoli
because I'm a little healthy.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
I don't know some iceberg lettuce.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
No, I'm doing better than that. Don't you listen to me.
It's butter lettuce now.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
But hey, I'm gonna go get a pack of twelve
cupcakes and bring y'all four and eat another one.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
So really, y'all only have three? I can't believe that.
So Elijah posted that on social media. People are ye
all over the map with that.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
That's my kind of repost. That's why I reposted. I
do want to hear no take about bow Nicks. That's
what I want.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
I want to hear.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
I want to hear Rob Parker telling us how he's
bringing us game. Brings in six, Alex, it takes another one,
so that means a seven of the two, well seven in.

Speaker 4 (19:01):

Speaker 6 (19:07):

I had to eat it one stop.

Speaker 4 (19:12):

Thank you everybody. No everyone that Tim that called and
Dagnar had me in tears. Yesterday was yesterday, two days ago.
Tim called man.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
That was a shout out to Tim hopefully he's listening
and all the other.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Thing that was. That was a really nice one.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
So Chris on Christmas called in or Brandon was Brandon
that call hcpt how he has no family, so he
was really thankful.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Yes, that was on Christmas.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
That was very nice and we appreciate the odd couple listeners,
the odd couple odd mob on YouTube. I don't know,
Lee scour and see if they're on the YouTube. If
there's any comment you want to jump in with us?
Uh later on all right, let's go here. And you
got a problem, I dude, with old Miss and the
whole Lane Kiffin, I got some separation.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
What's your smoke?

Speaker 5 (22:02):
My smoke is with always dipping Lane Kiffing. Now listen
you and I argued, I don't know, two three weeks
ago whatever, the whole thing broke out between him dipping
on the old Miss and going to LSU. And my
take was simply, dude, the grass ain't always greater. He
is the most grass look greater person. I know, Rosie
glass colored glasses. Everything that Lewis looks right. There looks greight,

(22:24):
there looks gright there. You know the track record dipping
on Tennessee after a year right going to USC screwing
that whole program over, getting him in more sanctions and
all of that messed up with NCAA, getting fired on
the tarmac.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
I can go on and on and on.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
And the thing about this old miss you came there
to his credit.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
You worked hard, turn this program.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Around, got him in a good position, and then you
dip again for more money, greener pasture, maybe heavy on
the maybe perceive more opportunities at LSU. I understand this.
LSU it is a blue blood, but you're literally there.
You have a chance, which would have had he been there,
to go to the NCAA Championship, College Football Championship.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
You never know what can happen. Now. It's one thing.
If you move on, right, fine, you want to move on, You're.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Going to another school in sec which is why old
Mess is like, nah, bro, we're not gonna let you
coach through the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
We'll move on.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Then you have to nerve to call ESPN and say, hey,
you want me on the show.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Hey, can I come on the show?

Speaker 5 (23:25):
Hey while you're during the broadcast of the Old Mits Georgia.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Game, I can be there. I can be there. Ain't
not about you no more.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
Move on, sir, Go to Louisiana State University. Go do
your thing there. Don't try to pop up on the
Dadgold channel when my team is playing, while we're competing hard,
while we're trying to win some games, and make it
about this school, our new coach.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
We're trying to make it about us, and here you go.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Always, Just like Shug Knight says about Diddy trying to
have a producer all in the video dancing in the videos,
that's Lane Kivy go away.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
And I love that the smokey out for some of
his ex.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
Players when he was like, oh it's so hard, I
didn't want to leave it all that stuff. The players
were like, hey man, we don't know about none of that.
We said, go ahead, get up out of here. We
wasn't begging you and crying to stay. And now you
got some more of his own players, former players talking
about him. One of the defensive tackles, Xavion Harris said,
and I quote it was a slap in the face
the way he played us trying to leave. And he

(24:21):
goes on to say, I feel like he's trolling us.
He's trying to steal the shine trying to steal the
spotlight from us. So I'm just over Lane Kiffin. I'm
rooting for Old Miss because I hope they mess around
and win this national championship and he ain't a part
of it. And he goes to LSU, he ain't wins
games he should, he's there, but never wins a championship,
never gets to a title game, and Old Miss will
have one and that they can say we did this

(24:42):
without you, bro.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
So you got Old Miss winning the national championship, is.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Got Indiana winning it, But I'm rooting for Old Miss.
Indiana's winning it, but I'm rooting for Old Miss.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
My My point is the reason that Lane Kiffin is
still relevant when it comes to Old.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Miss, and he's built Old Miss?

Speaker 4 (24:59):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (25:00):
That program?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
If it wasn't for Lane kiffing and the coaches that
he brought in, he could have stripped the team of everything,
taking the coaches with them. They're all going to LSU
with him and they're still there. So so you act
like he's he put it together. He recruited the players,
he came up with the scheme, everything. He didn't just

(25:22):
go to Ole Miss for one or two years. He
was there for I think six years he's been there.
He put in the work, Dude, don't get there quit
rob Yes, because you don't pass up your dream job.
You sit here and let me tell you something, Kelvin,
you're so full of it.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
If they came along, how long you been at Spectrum now?

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Seven years? All right?

Speaker 1 (25:42):
And if for CBS said, come on, we're gonna have
you do the morning show, even though it's a bad network,
We're gonna have you do it the morning show on
CBS network. Yes, don't tell me you're gonna be there
like you're gonna be like, uh uh, I came to Spectrum.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
I'm not gonna dude, stop.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
Thinking name seven years, we'd have took over l A.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
No, you see me in these streets, one of the
warst host of the year.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
You know that. That's don't play with me. That's the
only reason.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Because they forced the channel when I turned off Spectrum
and automatically golds the Spectrum one in the morning.

Speaker 8 (26:18):
It's the most annoying thing in the world, Am I right?
I have watched any other channel? Tell I love waking
up to Kelvin. Oh man, It's like that's right right
in the morning, I would.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Stood over, I would pro these cupcake crumbs out the
bed I went through, open.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
My mouth if I have to wake up to you
every morning.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
What all I'm saying is is you cannot look at
old miss and where they are and not.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Give Lane Crift Kiffen his credit.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
He's the one who built this over these last six years.
He's the one who brought the players in, the recruits.
He's the one who hired the coaching staff. Come on, man,
and I get it. The way college football is set
up in a time schedule. Sure would he have loved
to have waited and the coaching Uh, you know carousel
doesn't start until after you know what I mean, after everything?

(27:15):
Sure he would have. He didn't develop this. It is
not his way or what he wants. But LSU has
to have their coach in place because of the transfer
portal open today.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
And you got to get players. You got to have
a coach in place.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
That's why people rush to go hire a coach rather
than take their time, because you can't get players if
you don't have a coach in place. It's not his fault.
Why are you believe me?

Speaker 4 (27:40):
It's not let late?

Speaker 5 (27:40):
Why let me Okay, I hear everything you're saying, and
you and I both agree on the schedule.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Not it's not he didn't make the schedule.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
But here's where I disagree. You don't have to.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
You can say the whole point of me being here
and hiring and doing all this recruiting was to get
to the point to compete for a national title chap be.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
A chain winning on new championships.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
So you can all that, why not the team everybody
would have is Georgia. Ohio State's out. It is literally
wide open. Now. Now I've said before they started that
I thought Indiana just because how great they've been the
last two seasons and the way they convince Indiana's gonna win. Okay,
what ain't nobody gonna win the Cordonal, Eastern Michigan gonna win,
South Central, Hampton, cop Connecticut, wherever you would whatever, are

(28:25):
they gonna win this thing? My goodness, Indiana has a
great show. That's who I picked to win it just
based off like opinion.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
When do you pick this? When do you pick this?

Speaker 5 (28:34):
I'm gonna say that for like the last three or
four weeks, I just think that there's really flawless. They
got the best quarterback in college football. Defense is incredible.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
I'm not I'm just saying, but but.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
My point is, why do you I don't understand why
he had to go. If you're that great, which he
has been, got this team up to a great situation,
you go that he this isn't a knock that as
if he's a whack quarter coach. That's the point you
gotta here. He worked hard, You rebuilt your your reputation.
He's even admitted he had to you know, he had
to go through some things. And he even admitted I

(29:07):
needed old miss as much as it needed to be.
He said that his own words got there, rebuilt his image,
rebuilt everything, rebuilt the program up. And now you've got
a chance to do this and you leave when the
it's like building it all up for a note, Well,
I don't want to say that you know what I'm saying,
doing all that not finishing the job.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
If you know what I'm saying, what are we doing here?
And I just.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Don't like, but you have to leave? But there's an opportunity.
LSU is one of those schools. Even Nick Saban went there.
Uh like, like that's the school you want to go
to and he moved on and went to UH.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Nick Saban was at a number of schools. And if
you can.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Move on and get into a situation where the money's bigger,
the people, uh, the people from that school, the athletes
want to play there.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
There's a lot of things that he don't win. I
hope he don't win.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
All those coaches are gonna be will long win him
because he's the one who brought them the Old Miss.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
And now they want to all stay because they technically
the uh, they're not staying coming up, they're not staying
after no, no, no, I'm not talking about after see. I'm
saying they want to stay and do the whole ride
to see. Oh shoot baby, we might make the national championship.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Game, and then after they lose the next game, then
there will be the end of that conversation.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
We'll stop.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Now you're about to make me even say forget Andyana
now and hope Old Miss go ahead and get.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
This thing done here.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
So I can say, ha, Lane Kiffin, always dipping Kiffin,
and then they can mess around and win and he
never win the LSU, and he can be good.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
He can get the gospel. Bob, Well, he ain't gonna.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Win eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Kelvin is tired of Lane Kiffin, even though he built
the Old Missed football team.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Just stick around and seeing we gonna win?

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Right. All I'm gonna say is I don't blame him.
He should still be getting spotlight. It is his team,
he developed them, he recruited.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Them, it's his coach. Me on the show ESPN, It'll right,
it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
It ain't about Old miss It's about Lane Kiff and
he's the biggest star in this.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 4 (31:14):
Alex, what do you got so?

Speaker 6 (31:15):
Shout out to Bobo? He was just here. Yes, Yeah,
he's a walking HR violation, we like to say. And
he just made me aware of something that I think
will make both of you sick. He said, I've never
felt so broken my life. I was just watching the
Eddie Murphy documentary. I guess it's on Netflix. Eddie Murphy
was literally in an interview and he looks around. He's like,

(31:35):
are you guys all cold?

Speaker 4 (31:36):
Here?

Speaker 6 (31:36):
Let me close my roof and goes and pushes a
button Rob and his roof closes.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
Yeah, Rob, And.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
I'm gonna say this please to me, it makes total
sense when people question why people spend the money they spend,
you know what I mean, instead of happening, it's because
you can't take.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
It with you.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
You can't spend it all, so you wind up. That's
why they have four houses. And you go like, this
makes no sense. Oh, we're only there for two weekends
or two weeks a year. But seriously, but you make
so much money that you can't possibly spend it all.
And even if you're gonna leave a ton to your
kids and they're still gonna have plenty of money. And

(32:17):
I'm sure there must be a race in life to
spend as much money as you can because you don't
know when your your final days are here. So so
I think you get on the ridiculous?

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Am I right? They said he saw I think it
was share. He was Share. If I'm not mistaken, it
was Share.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
She has been seeing it for sixty years.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
And he was like, oh, that's kind of crazy. He
saw the crib with the retractable rue. He's I gotta,
I gotta get that. So he when he built this
house he built in the retractable room. I watched the documentary.
It's I ain't gonna lie. It's kind of crazy like
the doc or the house. The doc yet it was
it was. If you're a fan of his, you enjoy it.
They left a lot to be desired. He didn't fully
get too deep into some things.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Most of these are most of these are bad. And
I'm gonna tell you why because they're not Alex. They're
not independently produced. He was fully involved. So they leave
out like like when they do a documentary on your
life and it's an independent documentary, they.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
Touch on everything.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
They touch on everything. Let's just say they didn't touch
on a couple of things. You kind of know where
I'm going.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
You know what I mean that that was left out
or this was left out, or.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
They didn't push even go ahead rock no, no, no, I'm
just saying.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
And that's the issue I have with these self produced documentaries.
They become propaganda provda yeah wow.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
And they didn't even push in things that aren't controversial.
Just more so, I would love to hear more insight.
You could tell how much his brother Charlie Murphy meant
to him. So there's a part where he mentioned obviously
throughout all we were growing up, we were growing up, this,
that and the other. And they use a lot of
old clips that Charlie talking about his brother Eddie. But
once they finally get to Eddie having to say something,
he just kind of goes like, man, I really love

(33:55):
my brother and I wish he was You could tell
he was like I don't want to touch I guess
so deep and hurtful out on a touch that. Whereas
to your point, Rob, if it's like a you go
a little deeper into things at an independent doc. So
but it was good if you're a fan of his
very nostalgic. They take you through you know, his his run,
so you'll you'll get the N star. Definitely worth the watch.
Don't think it was the greatest doc ever.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
I just I don't understand and I get part of it,
Like you know, you want to be in a positive light,
but once you once you get into it and you
want to tell your real life story, there's nothing but
trials and tribulation.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Nobody know what documentary are you watching where you had a.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Smooth ride and there was no low moments or nothing
bad happened, you know what I mean? And a documentary
about my life. They're gonna take you to the whole
thing esbn RG three. That's a part of the part
of the story. It's not the whole story, right, but
you don't run from that, do you know what I mean.
It's a part of the story.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
Yeah, there's there's some run and I also with a
lover in the stage, and it's almost like Alex he
has such great movies that they hit it so quick, like,
oh yeah, coming to American trade play we did a
little bit of how move on, Like, no, you can spend.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Fifteen minutes on trading places fifteen minutes.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Of coming to America. So it was like an hour
and forty minute. It could have been a two or
three parter one one once. It's all about just his movies,
just straight, Oh, this whole episode is about the movies.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
You know them, the movie business.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
The other one they've been about a live and about
growing up in New York and what that was like, and.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
They touched on a bit.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
But like he's I guess he's so complex and so
great that you he deserved more time. Other people get
two three, you know, partners It's like how they get
two three parties and Eddie Murphield and got a one
episode about an hour and forty minutes. Definitely worth the
watch though, just with the nostalgia of it all.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
All right, Just that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Just about the roof opening is such a flex.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
He's like, yeah, let me let me do that.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
No.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Three of its insane.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
I thought he was going to go to the clapper
and have the heat, you know.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
Turn the rivers. Insane, Rob he did go to the clap. Oh,
he did go to the clown a yo yourself, YoY yo.
All right, here we go. Rams.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Uh, you've heard Steve the saga all night, talk about
it as any update.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
We gonna talk about it the Rams.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Oh, that's why we We're gonna bring it down the Rams.
They are not rusting starters. Despite clinching his sixth seed,
they can't move right. They got the sixt seed.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
You would think Matthew Stafford's thirty seven.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Going on sixty, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Like you would go like, maybe we shouldn't have men
there whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
No, the starters are playing Kelvin, are you cool with this?

Speaker 5 (36:37):
I am cool, And I'll tell you why I'm looking
at the last four or five games for them, so
I'll walk you through it. They lose to the Panthers
on November thirtieth. Now Panthers and.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Stafford happens that they had a bad game in that one.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
That was that game that kind of started him having
a few couple of bad games. Then of course they
beat the Cardinals. But then they beat the Lions with
that was a shootout, and I was there. Lions got
the ball back with a chance to you know, go
down and tie with like twenty five seconds.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
But it was a shootout, so your your defense points
didn't just run out of time.

Speaker 5 (37:09):
But my point is, so you're looking at the game,
you're like, whoo, okay, we wanted but ooh that was
a little tight. Then you lose that crazy wild one
to the Seahawks, then you lose to the Falcons, and
now obviously you got the Cardinals, and I think they
want to right the ship. They want to say, let's
get things going. Let's beat the Cardinals like we should,
like we did back you know, a half full of

(37:30):
weeks ago when they beat them forty five seventeen on
December seventh. Let's get this ball rolling let's run the
ball again. Let's get Matthew Stafford turnover free. Let's let's
go out there and execute the weight we're supposed to.
They don't want to sit, guys, and the last time
they the starters were out there, they lost too in
a row, to the Seahawks and to the Falcons, and
I think they want to get that bad taste out

(37:51):
their mouth, want to get flowing how they were earlier
in the season, so they can go into it with
some momentum and some mojo. Because you talked about it
earlier a lot of times at the Giants two Super
Bowls with Elon they weren't great those seasons, but they
kind of got it going at the right time. The
Steelers have done that one time, got it going at
the right time, and it happens.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
You don't want to come in floundering.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
Starters didn't play last week, and you're just coming off
two losses. Starters didn't play, and you're rolling to the playoffs,
especially in the NFC, where there are still a handful
of good teams, including two in your own division with
the Seahawks and the forty nine Ers, who are rolling
in specifically the forty nine ers. So I think that's
what he's trying to avoid, trying to get to get
the flow going, get some energy back, get some life back,

(38:33):
get a win, feel good about yourself rolling to the postseason.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Rob And if they lose, what would it say? They
bet not losing, say they lose that game. Well, if
they lose that game, they're definitely shook it.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
They are shook it going into the postseason because I'm
telling you, in their own division, the Seahawks and the
forty nine ers are playing some really especially the forty
nine ers.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
I just think you got an older quarterback.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
I'm not just not so sure about playing Stafford forbid.
Something happens to him, you know what I mean, You
can't move up. I get it if you were playing
for something older quarterback. Let everybody get healthy. Like winning
beating the Cardinals is not going to mean the difference
between what you do in the postseason. It's just you

(39:18):
could go ahead and beat the Cardinals, right, and then
still come out and lay an egg on.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
The road in your first postseason game.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
So I think if somebody's banged up or they need
an extra week off before, remember this is not taking
this week off and you have a bye, you're playing
right away, so it's not the same.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
I don't think it's good when you have.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
A bye and then you're like three weeks from playing,
do you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (39:46):
I think that can.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Hurt you where you get rusty a little bit and
it's three weeks. But I don't I'm not positive why
they're doing this, and hopefully nobody gets hurt, and that
would be my biggest concern, especially again Stafford's thirty seven.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
Do you want him to get rocked? You know? I
throw this at you, though, Rob.

Speaker 5 (40:08):
I think Sean McVay also wants to get his defense
going to Listen to this, listen to their last three games.
You beat the Lions, but the Lions put up thirty
four in your head. The very next game you lose
to the Seahawks. They put thirty eight on you. Yes,
and then you lose to the Falcons and twenty seven,
which that's a lot of points for a Falcons should
be like, we should.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Have beaten them six to nine, coming in right, right,
we should have beaten.

Speaker 5 (40:30):
Them twenty four to thirteen. It's kind of that kind
of game, is what it should have been. Instead, you
lose twenty seven to twenty four. So I think you're
trying to get the defense just to get some confidence back.
And again, it's not that beating the Cardinals is like whoa,
we beat the amazing team. It's more so, Okay, what
do we need to work on? Where are we blocking
better to get the running game going? Where are we
out here? Like I said, defense, but.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Beating them, I'm just saying, like that doesn't give you anything.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
You're not going to face anybody.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
I say, you don't, and you lose, rob you put
all backup, saying now you would have lost three straight.

Speaker 4 (41:01):
You get what I'm saying. And but you know that
were the last six.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
But you know that putting the backups, I'm just saying,
I don't know what you get any Jews from beating
the Cardinals and you could lose, and then what would
be your rallying cry forget about the regular season?

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Now we're in the postseeds whatever. Yeah, that's what we
have to do. We have to hate that count. We're
in the tournament. Blah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
We hear zero zero, That's what I'm talking said. That
would be your argument right away? It's like, oh, okay, uh,
you know that doesn't matter. Just as long as we're
in the tournament, that's all that matters. And then once
we get in there, we have a chance.

Speaker 4 (41:32):
I think they know Rob there. And again, the AFC
is more open.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
We've talked about it before, we have some of our
guests over the last week or two.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
AFC is one of those. Man, you know, it could
be the Texans.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
It's not crazy, Okay, it definitely could be the Patriot Okay,
why not the the the Broncos. They've won like eleven
out of twelve, so you kind of like, I don't know,
Josh Allen, is it funny?

Speaker 4 (41:52):
The NFC has some teams.

Speaker 5 (41:53):
Man, as much as we talk about Eagles are sitting
here eleven and five, you know what I mean, And
you just hurt Sean King already. Yeah, it was like
they're gonna win again. The Seahawks are good, not great,
but they're good. The forty nine ers have been there before,
They've gotten a couple of Super Bowls. And then you
got whoever's gonna end up, you know, coming out to
the NFC North or I'm sorry, NFC South. So my
point is, I think you just don't want to go in,

(42:15):
not like we can't go out looking this bad. We
want to get a w get some momentum, get some
good juju.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
Going your way.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
That's my interpretation because the last couple of seasons he
actually has rested his guys, but I think this season
he's like, nah, I don't like the way we look
right now.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
Okay, could be bad juju if you lose to the
Cardinals too,
