(00:21):
s R. You're listening to the Best of the Odd
Couple with Chris Brush and Rod Harker. We'll look by
now everybody understands the news of the day. The agent
for Anthony Davis, Rich Paul obviously along with Davis, have
gone to the New York Pelicans. I'm sorry to New

(00:43):
Orleans Pelicans and told them that they do not intend,
they have no intention of signing the supermax contract that
would be five years, two hundred and forty million dollars
that the New Orleans Pelicans will offer him this summer,
and requested to trade. Now, this was actually done three
days ago. The news just came out today, but the

(01:06):
request was made three days ago, and it has risk
turned the NBA world upside down. As you said earlier,
rived Lakers fans think that they're getting a duh. Celtics
fans have to be excited too because they're in the running,
and of course Knicks fans have a shot. So it's
really been the big news not only of the NBA,

(01:29):
but of the sports world today. And I know that you, uh,
just because of your contrarian nature. And then about you
being the hit Bowl, it's calling the hating his brother
of all time. I know you got issues with this, no,
so just go ahead and share them. It's it's a combination.
First of all, this is what's wrong with the NBA.

(01:51):
This is how you go. Lebron broke the NBA and
we're still living this nightmare ten years later. When was
it the decision twenty ten? Here it is twenty nineteen,
and Lebron has still damaged this football this basketball man.
And here's how. Because if you're not on the top

(02:11):
two or three teams and not stacking players together, how
in the world should the fans in New Orleans Field.
Not only did they have a bad week with not
getting the Super Bowl, with that horrendous call that wasn't made,
now their best player is telling them that they don't
want He doesn't want two hundred and forty million dollars.
He wants to leave and not take the cash and

(02:35):
go pass, go and collect the two forty. He's done.
He wants out, and you know what, that's Lebron's fault. Yeah.
But because it's this temper, and that's why the Pelicans
have already petitioned the league to let them know that
here it is, this is all in cahoots. This is
Lebron and Paul and Rich Paul the agent. This was

(02:57):
all in the works to steal away their top player.
And I guarantee you here, Chris, guarantee you that they
will not take a deal with the Lakers, that they
will go out. See, I'm guaranteeing you right here. You
tell them telling you they will not because they will
not want to have their player stolen from them, manipulated

(03:18):
to tell them who they're going to trade a player too.
It's just like everybody told everybody, Ho, Pop needs to
trade Kawhi Leonard to the Lakers because he's gonna go
to La anyway. So what is Pop? You just take
whatever deal you're gonna get, because if you wait, it's
gonna be less. What did he do? He sent them
to Toronto and it's gonna be the same exact thing.

(03:39):
He will They will look for any trade other than
what the Lakers have. When they decide to make a trade,
has to be another team out there with the guts.
I understand that the trade for him without any guarantee,
because and what happens when at the end of this season.
That's what every why Leonard goes to the LA It
doesn't matter where. If they were to the NBA Finals
in Toronto, it was a great move. And even if

(04:00):
they don't win it, if they go to the finals,
it was a great movie. Only cared if you want.
That's not it. But here's the lee. He was a
great kid, wasn't a great coach. No, you can't have it.
But we'll get to that Laker talking out of both No,
for Toronto, they got swept the last two years to
get to the NBA finals, Chris, that's a great step.
And here's the other part. Everybody said, Okac was stupid.

(04:23):
They're so stupid to get Paul George. Paul George is
going to the Lakers. Paul George isn't gonna play it, Okay. See,
Paul George is going to the Lakers. He wants to
go back home. He's gonna play with Lebron Paul George.
And you know what Paul George did. Paul George said,
I'm not even gonna meet with you. Uh, Magic Johnson,

(04:43):
I'm gonna sign it. Okay. See, I'm gonna eat all
the barbecue I could have and I'm not going to LA.
So don't tell me that it's an automatic done deal.
Everybody's trying to preach today that's a done deal. That's
the same thing they did with Paul George. And I
don't care who is a I'm telling you right here,
right now that the New Orleans Pelicans will not n

(05:06):
ot make a deal with the Lakers. Man Rob Parker
brought his a game today. You're doing voices and everything.
I packed my stuff when I I see I see.
First of all, let me talk about how unfair it
is for you to blame all this on Lebron Lebron James. Now,

(05:26):
I would never give you that. He showed players how
you could take your destiny into your own hands. And
there's nothing wrong with n Well, look, I gave you
eight minutes to just go in and rant. Hear me out.
You forgot about Kareem Abdul Jabbar when he demanded a

(05:50):
trade from Milwaukee small market team similar to New Orleans
to the Lakers. Was that Lebron James fault in nineteen
seventy six when that happened. Huh. I mean, that's the
same exact thing that just happened today, and you're putting
it on Lebron James Lebron. I'm just saying this was

(06:11):
this was happening before Lebron. They were not teaming up
to build super teams before Lebron, And it was that
left it in the hands They've always had brenc Or
you could ask them demand to be traded. I get.
But when they came to Anthony Davis, did he didn't say,
send me to Lebron. No, he didn't say send me

(06:32):
to He's willing to go to New York where it's
a super team in Madison Square Guards. If he goes
gonna be a super team. He goes to New York,
that's different. But if he goes, very well happened if
he goes. I know it could. And all I'm saying
to you is just like when the Green Bay Packers
and Brett Farb wanted out and Bret fab said trade
me to Minnesota. They said, we will not trade you

(06:52):
inside the division, and when they trade them, they trade
them to the New York Meetropolitans, and they said, if
you want to go to Green Bay, you go on
your own, but we're not gonna send you. Everybody doesn't
do it that way, though I know the Cleveland caval
they didn't take a big mistake. But here, look, this
is what Lebron James has changed. He has shown players

(07:15):
that just like a GM for right, whether it's right
or I shouldn't say right or wrong, because it's certainly
within the realm of right. It's your right to do it,
but whether you like it or not, whether you think
it's good for the game or not. What Lebron James
did in twenty ten was showed players how you can

(07:36):
build teams. Why leave it in the hands of an
owner or a GM, some of whom never played basketball.
Why leave it in their hands to be able to
ship you off wherever they want you to go when
you can say you know what, I want to go here,
So you're telling me you and I have the right
to go wherever we will go down the buyers have
the right to go wherever they want. But here's the

(07:56):
other problem though, and when it comes to competitive balance,
the same Lebron James move is the guys people now crying, oh,
look at the Golden State Warriors. That ain't fair? Who
like all the Lebrons fans, Oh that ain't fair? Well,
oh forget the league now they got Boogie Cousins too.
While Lebron you started it that, you started uh my space,

(08:18):
and the Warriors started Facebook. So so that's why lebow
Warriors we're seeing maybe the team why Lebron's lost the
last two champions and that's fine, but your that's what
is spawned. And so he did it. He won in Miami.
He's hasn't been able to be Golden State other than
the one time. But you know it hasn't all worked
out perfectly for Lebron either. No, I'm saying that basketball

(08:43):
why because we never can't believe you up here sounding
like a company man. I ain't a company man. Are
you saying the owners? No, I'm not saying that teams,
but the players can because there's a there's a competition
and a competitive balance that does matter. Quis if it didn't,
you have her. We don't need a drive. We need
a drive when Lebron when Lebron James was in Miami.

(09:06):
They had competitions. We need Rob. If you want to
get mad at somebody, get mad at Durrant. He's the
one went to the team and they ran over everybody else.
When Lebron was over Miami, they had competition, competition. Today
they lost the Dallas they lost. They won two against
the Spurs. I'm talking about Dallas, Okay, Dallas, that was

(09:27):
What about the Spurs? They lost. They lost to the Spurs,
fair and square. They still went to the finals four
times in the road. They ain't know. They had their
way with the Eastern Comma the East. He had his
way with the East and Cleveland too. That wasn't I mean,
you know, it wouldn't become because they put together a
super team, but because it was already damaged. It was
already broken up. The East was terrible and Lebron took

(09:51):
advantage of it. Anyway, everybody thinks it's a done deal,
it ain't a done deal. Be sure to catch live
editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussar then Rob
Parker week days at seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app. Tom
Brady is. You know, there were a lot of people
that thought this would be his last game if he wins.

(10:13):
Maybe he put that to sleep. He put that to bed.
He recently had an interview with ESPN dot ESPN and
he said, there's zero chance, zero chance that he retires
after this game. Here's the audio. Is there any chance
that this is your last game? Zero? I don't want

(10:35):
to just zero there it is. I mean, why what
would he go on and say, oh, yeah, I'm gonna
quit if if he if he throws eight touchdowns in
the super Bowl or whatever. So I don't understand like
like this whole notion. It just it would sound bad
if he said, oh yeah, I'm done after this. You mean,

(10:55):
even if he were even if in his and he
was thinking really well, because I don't think he can
do that all the time. No, I don't not. I've
never seen a guy told me that it has been
a big game, you might say this is my last season. Yeah,
But Jeff, I'm just give me another guy who told you.
They don't say a game. But I mean, because the
Wayne Wade said before this year it's his last season,

(11:16):
cream out, Kobe had last season. I get it, But
what's the difference. I just don't know, Like, why would
you put that out there, like this is my last
game or uh like it's like you're drawing special attention
to yourself, taking away taken away from everybody else. This
is the super Bowl that can be after the fact
you alive him what I'm I'm just saying he did

(11:40):
the right thing by by saying zero no speculation. But
I don't think he's anything. I don't think he's doing this,
doing it because he's gonna play next But but I think, well,
he's in the super Bowl. Why would you want to
stop if he already said that he wanted to play
till forty five, even though he did have a down
year middle of the middle of the year, him to
the Super Bowls, the Pro Bowlers middle of the year.

(12:03):
Why why do you talk about his numbers but not
Aaron Rodgers number because we're not talking about Aaron Rodgers.
We're talking about Tomson. Don't tell me talking Taron Rodgers.
Don't talking about Tom Bruh. Know why we're not talking
about Aaron Rodgers Because he's not as good as Tom Brady.
And when Brady loses his four super Bowl what are

(12:23):
you gonna talk. I'm gonna say he's still the goal
because he's not the goal. He will have lost four
Super Bowl, he will live won five. No, it's magic.
Johnson won five out of nobody. We love match, but
nobody says magic is the handful of people you don't
he missig. Nobody thinks magic. Go to Lansing and say nobody,

(12:43):
you won't come out of Lance. That's all I'm saying.
And if Tom Brady loses again, this will be two
years in the road that he lost. Stop saying he's
the goal. And what if he wins? Joe Montana is
the goal, is not the goat? He's been there twice?
Is Brady lub boss? Joe Montana? He never had a jair.
He lost to Eli twice in a backup quarterback last year?
How could you be the black? Could you be the goal?

(13:05):
Who didn't Montana? Who didn't Montana lose too in no seasons?
They didn't even get to not talking. It's not about that.
It's when he was in the big game. He was
four no eleven touchdowns, no picks, three MVPs. He won
two championships with Jerry Rice, at two without Jerry right
man time Montana was great, all right, and there's nothing

(13:29):
wrong with being second or one A. But tom Brady
is the goal. You're like the only person on earth
who doesn't say tom Brady no A lot. There's plenty
of people who are rational and not name name one.
That's what I'm talking Even Shannon Sharp, who was writing
why because he said because he admitted, he admitted after

(13:50):
he picked apart the Kansas City Chiefs that tom Brady
is the goal and hebody gonna see two Sunday. Who's
the goal? Anybody can throw dinkin, dunk pass. I don't
care what he's doing. He's leading his team to victory.
They didn't even touch tom Brady. The one time they did,
they called a rough in the pastor and the guy
who hit his shoulder he got the benefit of the call.

(14:11):
So that's his fault. We should punish him. Julia Julian Edelman,
the ball hit his thumb. I saw it. I watched
the replay. He got that call. Tom Brady, who was
the other one. He throws an interception which was a
pick to end the game with a minute to go,
and you know, really real with him in the all side?
Was it all side. Well, it was all okay. He
always gets the break. You think he's so lucky, I'm never.

(14:34):
Tom Brady is the load, the luckiest of all time. Goal.
Everybody who's not the goal, every lobody who's won championships
has been. Nobody's been there with Lebron James. Not lucky.
When Ray Allen hit that three pointer when everybody was
leaving the arena, go ask the Raider fans with the
tuck rule, he fumbled the ball. They gave it back

(14:57):
to Tom Brady's Kareem mob dude, jabbar. Not lucky when
they called that fandom foul on Bill Lambier in the
nineteen eighty eight finals, I get it, but he didn't
get five of them. I mean every Super Bowl is
always not every Super Bowl it is. The Carolina Panthers
kicker John Casey kicks the ball out of bounce, gives
the ball a Brady, the Seattle Seahawks on the one

(15:19):
yard line, run the ball in. You have be small.
What do you do You're throwing interception? That's another Brady's
presence shakes people up. They start doing things they wouldn't
normally do. He and Billy choked Jock choked. They're up
twenty eighth to three against the Patriots in the third

(15:39):
with two minutes to go in the third quarter. They choked.
That's what they did. They choked against the Patriots. And whatever.
For whatever reason, Tom Brady, when you opened the door
and give him the opportunity, Uh, he always takes whatever reason,
give to whatever reason. Maybe not because he's but how
did he beat it? Because of his arm, not because
of his poise, not because of his toughness. For some reason, Well,

(16:02):
here's tom Brady's highlights from this year. We're struggling, tom Brady.
This is all you need to know that. How's that saying? You?
You wrote Tim Brady off in two thousand and eleven,
you wrote the Patriots braches off again in week three.
You keep being wrong. And the other part is you
gotta be honest. When you talk about calling somebody to go,

(16:23):
you have to look at their entire career. The Patriots
were involved in a cheating scandal which was called uh
spy Gate, where they taped teams defensive signals. Who would
that help the quarterback? They were also involved in deflate Gate,
where Tom Brady had the ball boys to deflate the
ball so they wouldn't fumble every time we take a

(16:44):
look they're involved in something. This is the reason why
you can't embrace the new England pat and you can't
embrace Tom Brady and embrace the problems. Now let me
get to this all right. How do you feel about
a forty one year role who you have written off?
You've said he's not the same playing for three more years.

(17:09):
I might have to move to Mexico, especially if he
wins the Super Bowl. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker
weekdays at seven pm Eastern, four pm Pacific. We are
here in Atlanta for super Bowl Week, so our next

(17:29):
guest is a great one to talk to. He's the
serious XM NFL radio insider, none other than Adam Kaplan. Adam,
great to see you. How are you. It's good to
see you in person here talking. Yeah, yeah, it's it's
great to be Here's my first super Bowl, so I'm excited. Yes,
I've been to everything else but uh, NBA All Star Game,

(17:54):
NBA Finals, Major League Baseball, Star Game, World Series covered
all that, but not just Super Bowl. So I'm really
enjoying it. Wait till you see, wait till you see Thursday. Okay,
here's the way it works. Money Tuesday a little bit slow.
Celebrities come in Wednesday, X players, current players come in Wednesday, Thursday.
You can't you see how empty was here today? You

(18:14):
can't walk in here. It's unbelievable. Wow. And last year
they had it at the Maul of America in the
food court radio row. You couldn't walk even on Monday.
It's crazy. It would stop me from getting a slice
of pizza with all those people. It's not good. It's
it's gonna it's a madhouse and it's uh, it's fun.
This is my eighteenth Super Bowl. Man. Wow, uh, never

(18:35):
get it. It's typically the same, but thinks thinks some
times change. You see new people come here, new stations,
new networks, and we also have new teams. Well one
new team. Actually, well I'm gonna say that. That was
my first thing is like, haven't we seen this movie before?
We tired of it or not. I'm not tired of
I'm tired of it. Adam. I did not want the

(18:56):
Patriots to be in so I'm a huge Belichick fan.
Belichick fan, why because I wanted to see new blood.
I want to see Patrick Mahomes. Okay, he got next, okay,
and I'm sure he'll get there, but I wanted to
see that. I remember the Rams the Rams Chiefs game
that I think it was a eighty five five points
That's why I wanted to see. Man. Everybody everybody was,

(19:17):
oh my god, that was insane. Right, that was the
That would have been great, That would have been That
was the game. Mahomes gave up the MVP with the
five turnovers. He is, Adam, you know, are you you
might be a vote? You a voter MVP, not that
particular poule, not the eight people. But I vote in
three poles. Um. I did vote in all three Mahomes
Right there you go. I've changed. But that I remember
that game. I was saying, I don't know. He might

(19:39):
have lost it that but Drew Brees wound up limp
into the finish line. I think Drew Brees is amazing.
He's another forty plus quarterback. He just turned forty, but
he looks forty. You know what, they'll rob their offense.
I don't know. They're passed the game that we're to
talk about. The Saints in the second half of the season.
They just I think what happened in the first half,

(19:59):
they were manufacturing points. If you look at it, three
out of the top four receivers were undrafted free agents
other than Michael Thomas was the second run pick out
of Ohio State. That's not gonna last. You can't last
the National Football League with guys who not a lot
of people thought highly of. But because of the scheme
by Seampaigne, which is phenomenal, and Breeze is great play.
But at some point it's going to catch up with you.

(20:20):
I think it actually caught up to the Saints. If
you remember the first time the Eagles played the Saints,
the Eagles lost forty eight to seven a couple of
weeks ago. They should have probably, as they would tell you,
had Jeffrey not dropped the football, they probably would have
gone and scored and then we would have seen what
it would have happened. That would have been a minor upset.
But that's why the line was only what three to
three and a half, because no one's really respecting the

(20:41):
Saints offense like they did earlier in the season. Tom Brady,
of course, forty one years old, and some people thought
but a week or two ago that maybe this would
be his last game. He obviously put that to bed
a few days ago, said it still wants to play
to the least forty five. Talk about the prospects of him.
You know in a few Jay were times year where
he didn't look as good in the middle of the season. Yeah,

(21:02):
and all of a sudden he's picked it up in
the playoffs and late in the season. But think about
health season and you know going forward. Well, here's the thing, Chris,
he's so finely conditioned that there's no question if he
wants to play three or four more years, he will.
I was asked by Jason Smith and Mike Harmon last
weeks before Jeff Darlingston, my friend from ESPN did his

(21:23):
piece with Brady, and they asked me, so, what do
you think was going to happen? I said, he's not retiring.
I said, now, if had Drew Brees won the Super Bowl,
I could absolutely see that happened. I could see that
as well. I didn't think so because he's still playing
at a very high level. It's not quite the elite level.
And yes, you're right when you talked about mid season,
there was something he was not quite himself, but you
never count him in. Belichick out, I picked the Patriots

(21:45):
Falcons Super Bowl. I was wrong about the Falcons, and
ironically we're here in Atlanta. They had too many injuries.
I thought the Patriots would be good enough. You see
their defense sometimes you go their defense stinks. How are
they doing this? You saw on the Super Bowl last
year most yardage in any NFL game history of the
game the Eagles Patriots. But the game went down to
the wire. It seems like somehow Someway now Brian Flora

(22:06):
as their decordinator. Essentially he doesn't have the title, but
he runs the defensive Belicheck, they're gonna come up with
something that we haven't seen before. You saw them shut
down Tyrek Hill. They always find something that the offense
hasn't seen before. It's the eye couple. We are joined
by Adam Kaplan Series x M NFL Radio Insider. You know,

(22:26):
did I want to go back just really quickly to
the Saints And I know the call. We all know
what's passed interference. That's not even an issue. But I
thought Sean Payton miss managed miss coach that game at
the end after the two minute warning warning Adam, he
doesn't run the football to try to get them to
get out of timeouts. And you know this is how

(22:49):
we play. We throw the ball. I didn't not get
all that. But did he did? He blow it there
and that he could have had them burn out those tires.
So help me out. Yes, and now we'll go back
to the previous week. Peterson Eagles head coach. Before Jeffrey
dropped the football, there was there was more than two
minutes left. The thought was run the clock down, Lenniquet
past two minutes, then score. You want to give the

(23:10):
Saints as a little time as possible. To your point, yes,
that's what you want to do. Don't give them a
lot of time, get it under a minute if you
can run the football. But he just felt like they
could score now again Yes, as as as Peyton pointed
out after the game, if the officials called that three
plays games over, they're gonna run the football. But but but,

(23:31):
and he's right, I get that. But it just seems
like coaches sometimes out coached themselves overthinking. It reminds me
of the Super Bowl with the Patriots and the Falcons.
You brought up the Dan Quinn. Yes, Dan Quinn. Now,
I know that they throw the ball, and I get
all that they first and ten at the twenty two
they were in field goal range. They could have kneeled

(23:53):
down three straight times at him, kicked the field goal.
You're up by eleven. Brady can't beat you. But they
don't do that. They get up holding, they get a sack,
and they're out of field goal range. I don't I'm
not a football coach, but you're you're right. They say,
hindsight's twenty twenty. That probably would have been the better scenario.
But the bottom line is that call unfortunately. And I

(24:14):
want to say one thing about the rest is because
fans beat up the roughs a lot, they're still outstanding.
They're also humans. In real time, you're not going to
see everything. That's why Bill Belichick, by the way, he
wants to challenge every flag. He said that the orange
meanings for years. There's got to be some kind of
happy medium here. You've got to be able to challenge
the egregious errors. That was my thing I put on
Twitter a couple of weeks ago. You can't have ones

(24:35):
at everyone sees at home, because by the way they
have they have HD cameras. They have HD just like
we do. You gotta be able to call it like
you see it. I'm real quick, and I don't want
to be. I'm not being an agist or I'm against
older people because I mustage because I get my senior discount.
Now I do so. Man, when I first met Rob,
he didn't have gray hair. But Adam, are somebody's guys

(25:00):
maybe just behind the plays older. I'm just I'm not
trying to be able. You're chasing after guys in their
twenties and you're in your fifties. I'm just yes, But
if you recall the play that we're talking about, the
guy is right there. You mean in general, I just
mean like that's been brought up before. Um to get
a little bit younger. He's a younger man. I think

(25:21):
it's more. But I think it's more an NBA. Yeah,
it's it's I think because guys, you gotta be able
to run down Now. In the NBA, you gotta be
able to run down court. Oh yeah, okay, But I
think the NFL you have so many you will have
so many umpires and reps on the field. I think
they're okay there, but I just don't want the game
that we all love to be tarnished by a miss
call or a bad call and you have the ability

(25:41):
to correct it. We don't have that mechanism. We have
instant We play by and large pretty good, but you
can't challenge judgment calls. Here's what I'm afraid of. If
we do get to that point. Guy throws a game
winning touchdown and he go, no, he it was a
whole day. Go go back and look, no, you have to,
you have to. Then we then we stop in like
everybody just celebrated, everybody was happy, and then you tell them,

(26:04):
oh no, there was a hold on the offensive line,
and and I don't know how you solve it because
you can't. You can't. I remember Mike Prayer telling me
years ago. Uh it was at the other when he
would have his media seminar to show us plays that
were mister could clarify stuff. He said, here's the problem.
We don't want referees to the legislate intent. What was

(26:24):
the intent on that play? You can you just call it.
You see it right, and if you miss a hold
and call, you miss it. But there's got to be
something like you come up with a term egregious misses.
Give give the give the coaches two more extra calls,
extra flags. You can't miss it, man, But Christ like,

(26:45):
I would like it if you could review everything on
hold on here, review everything, but don't change the number
of challenges. So if I'm a coach, now, oh, I
have to decide, I don't get more challenges. I can
review more things, but I still don't get more chaps
reviewing it New York. Yeah. But here's the other problem, Chris.

(27:06):
When you deal with people, people may even you've seen
replays where you're looking at something and then you go,
wait a minute, and they still getting robbed by the way.
I did not know in real time before Fox replayed it.
You know, we saw the play. I didn't see anything
until I replayed it before Fox replayed him, Like, oh
my god, two fouls um past the interference in helmet
the helmet. This is terrible. They missed this and obviously

(27:29):
it went crazy. But it's tough, man, This is tough.
That's why I give the refs a lot of credit.
They do such a phenomenal job, but they're human beings.
They're gonna miss called. Then let me ask you to
get to the rams Todd Gurley. Obviously his usage was
limited in the NFC Championship game. First of all, was
is there an injury there? How do you see him

(27:49):
being used in the Super Bowl? And has that he has?
He sounds great, he's saying all the right things, but look,
you know a lot of guys would be upset at
being used so little. And then C. J. Anderson, who
was on the streets a month ago, is, yeah, is
there any tension that that's created as well? I thought,
you know, I said to talk to a pretty good

(28:10):
source on this. I said, is there something wrong with him?
Why in the world would he not be in the game,
the most crucial game of the season. And then you
saw him shaking his leg a little bit. Remember he's
had a knee problem for a couple of months. But
this person said, no, no, this is what they want
to do. They're gonna go with this rotation. I'm like, yes,
there's no way they're beating the Patriots without Todd Gurley

(28:31):
been a major fact that I don't see any way
shape or for him. Don't forget he's really good in
the past game. This is a special football player. He's
one of the lead talents in the National football they
get the running back position. So yeah, I even though
remember he was hurt, you know, even though they say
he's not on the injury report, there's something going on there.
I think, how about Bill Belichick, uh and his coach

(28:52):
and true, you know you but you know you just
thought to look, how coming it hasn't taken. If there's
a Patriot way, which people all talk about in a
philosophy of how they do things, I have a problem
because none of the guys who have ever gone out
to get another gig has had any success. Rob, I'm
gonna say this is real simple. Can't clone him. You can't.

(29:14):
You can't make him the best coach. You can't make
another coach the same guy. You can't do it. It's
just no matter how well he coaches his coaches, you
can't clone Belichick. He's the best sports coach of my lifetime.
I don't think there's any doubt about it. What a
cheating part doesn't bother you. I'm just totally unnecessary. By

(29:35):
the way, it's totally unnecessary. He didn't need to do it.
Whatever he did, he didn't need to do it. A
deflation of footballs didn't need to be done. Are you?
Is anyone really gonna argue that Brady's the best, the
best quarterback? No, I'm gonna argue who is it? I'd
like Joe Montana as the greatest of all time? Okay
for four and owners super bowls, eleven touchdowns? Nobody's no,

(29:56):
but going, isn't it. If that's the case, then Marv
leev he's one of the greatest coaches ever. He went
to four straight Super Bowls, Adam, he went to four?
Name another guy? Four straight? Yeah, but he's not getting
it about going or is it about winning? Which one is? Well,
then I guess. And then Dan Marino being the super
in the Hall of Fame because he never won a
Super Bowl. No, it's not about you don't get excluded

(30:18):
of winning, No, you that's the argument that ain't it?
All right? We could be here wait time yet? You
see what I deal with? All right, Adam, I could
