It’s The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker! Is this the beginning of the end for Tom Brady? Rob thinks so. He tells you why Brady’s last few games are an indication of the rest of his season and why we could see a downward trend for the rest of his career. The guys break down the blockbuster trade in the NBA this past weekend sending Jimmy Butler to the 76ers. However, Philadelphia may not be the best fit for Butler. Also, it looks like Carmelo Anthony is on his way out of Houston, and according to Chris he should hang up his shoes for good. Plus, 76ers beat writer Keith Pompey stops by to discuss Jimmy Butler’s fit alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik checks in to explain why he believes Jon Gruden could have a tough time turning things around in Oakland. And, the guys deliver another award-winning edition of Sources Say

You never know when you might get a shout out
or a point that you make might get brought up
on the show. You can follow yours truly at Chris
Underscore Brusard and you can follow Rob at Rob Parker

(01:10):
FS one. So much to get into, of course, it
is in NFL Monday, coming off of the games yesterday,
and then we've got some Lebron James talk, which is
not unusual. And we've got some Jimmy Butler talk. There
was a huge blockbuster trade over the weekend Minnesota Simmons
sending the all star Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia, where they

(01:32):
of course already have two young stars and Ben Simmons
and Joe LMB. So we'll get into that as well.
Carmelo Anthony too. Just so much to get into. But
first let me bring in my man, Rob Parker. Rob,
how you doing, man? I am doing just great. How
are you? Mister Chris Boussard? You know what, Rob, I'm
feeling great. I woke up this morning and I just

(01:53):
felt dangerous. Did you I just felt I feel real dangerous? Man.
What are you going on? You're going through a midlife
crisis since you turned fifty. I can't even trust them.
Are you all right? No? I feel good, man, I
feel good to be fifty and still playing basketball, lifting
weights and having fun with my wife. I'm good. Everything's working.

(02:14):
I'm everything's working, everything's working. I'm all good. Very night. No,
life is good. And of course you know after last night.
I'm just saying, and we'll get into it, but you
can't even wait. I can't even can't even wait to
introduced crew. I know and I will say this, we

(02:37):
couldn't do this fine radio program without the odd couple
crew who are there for us every show. Uh. Rob
g is our producer, Alex engineer, Deb Carson of course
our sports anchor. She'll keep us updated throughout the entire show.
Sean is the intern, and Elijah is of course has

(02:59):
his man his camera and of course it'll be on
Facebook Live, Instagram. It's all live right now, Facebook Live right,
Instagram and whatever. If it looks weird, hoodies, it's for
a reason because it's arctic in the studio here at

(03:20):
Fox Sports, where they tend to keep it chilly in here. Yes,
but we just went out to lunch with the crew,
uh and it was really good. You know. It wasn't
thank you lunch, Yeah, a little thank you lunch, but
super started the show and these guys are really working hard.
Uh So it was just a little chance to We
got an early today. We had some stuff to do

(03:40):
and had a chance to break bretty. But it was
good and as always, um, they are in full effect
on the other side of the glass. Chris Bussard, let's
kick some man. That's pretty good. We're getting better. We're
getting there. You getting there. I like it. I love
it a lot, But I like you heard me rhyming

(04:02):
before the show. Oh man, you got out all right,
all right, But I didn't hear any Jesus or you know,
the Lord and those why I got I got secular
and Christian round. Dude. I'm just saying I was expecting
something where he's gonna be rhyming, and it's gonna be
about the fish and the blows of bread. You know

(04:23):
what I mean. Stay tuned, you never know. You know,
it's a funny joke about that. Remember about the blast.
It's not no, it's not blast, real quick, go ahead.
But it was like Jesse Jackson was complaining, excuse me
about the uh, the way the press covered him. So

(04:44):
he's in a boat with the Pope, and the wind
blows the pope's cap off into the water and Jesse
Jesse walks across the water, picks up the pope's cap,
puts it back on his head. He said. The next
day the headline of the paper was Jesse can't swim.

(05:05):
That's good. I think I've heard that. I think he said,
yeah about coverage. But anyway, one thing we about coverage
we don't get wrong is the coverage about Thomas Brady.
We never get that wrong because I tried to tell you,
Chris Bussard and New England Patriots America. I tried to

(05:28):
tell you that this season was coming. I told you
at age forty one, the wheels were gonna fall off.
That's right, and Tom Brady wasn't gonna be that guy.
He won the He won the MVP a year ago
by default because Wentz in a lifetime got hurt. But

(05:49):
now this year, tom Brady yesterday against the Tennessee Titans,
no touchdowns and no points in the second half. Tom
Brady has now thrown one touchdown in the last three games,
and Chris Broussard it's official. Father Time has won. Father

(06:16):
Time has beaten Tom Brady in the last three games.
Fifty nine percent completion ratio, one touchdown. He didn't have
any interceptions. But you know why Tom Brady doesn't have
any interceptions. His he oh, he doesn't have any interceptions
in the last three games. You know why, because he's accurate.
His ball is so bad you can't even intercept it.

(06:39):
Forget about trying to catch it. For a reception. You
can't even take catch it for an interception. That's how
bad Tom Brady. Are you done? You smell lt that's
Tom Brady? Are you done? Not yet? Yeah? You have
the floor with this foolishness. Go ahead, it's this is
what I'm talking about. And you know what, back in
before the season started, I gave people that the numbers

(07:03):
go look at Brett Farve. Bret Farv had a better
season than Tom Brady. At age forty. He had thirty
three touchdowns and seven interceptions. Tom Brady had thirty two interceptions,
thirty two touchdowns and eight This is at age forty,
and Brett Farve fell off the cliff. Tom Brady is

(07:23):
on that pattern right now. Don't tell me about the record.
Tell me about Tom going to tell You'll tell me
about the record. Stephen and freaking three? Are they not
the d They are not the third best record in
the AFC? Did they not beat the Kansas City Chiefs,
the leaders of the conference. Are they not still probably

(07:46):
in most experts opinions, the favorite to get out of
the AFC. I don't care talking about it that they
lost to the Titans esterday. He got blown out by
the Titans. They weren't gonna go. They were are gonna
go fourteen and two. They're gonna probably lose two more games.
That's holy go eleven and five. The way tom Brady's playing,

(08:07):
they can lose the next five. He's awful right now.
So you just said he hasn't thrown an interception in
the last three games. That's because you don't throw an interception,
doesn't mean you're playing well, Chris, good enough to be
nine percent complete, three fifty nine percent. Look at the
read the stories and the accounts coming from from Nashville.

(08:28):
They said tom Brady's off long passes were fluttering and
going out of bounds. He had no no sharpness to it,
no no distance. We had a bad game. This is
not a bad game. This is a trend this right.
First of all, in week two or three, you said
the Patriots were done. Hey, they were they were You
said they were done. They're seven and three. We're talking

(08:51):
about right here, right now. Don't tell me about the past.
I'm talking about now. They had a bad game, he had, Chris. Historically,
the two worst beatings of tom Brady's career. One came,
I believe fifteen years ago. The other came four years
ago in the regular season. Guess what happened at the

(09:13):
end of those seasons he held up the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Premature.
They are there is Look, it's Tom Brady. What he
was maybe a year or no, not a year ago,
month ago, a year ago, he was the MVP. If
he's not that, that's fine. Is he good enough to
lead the Patriots back to the super Bowl? Yes? Indeed, No, No,

(09:38):
they're not good enough to go to the super Bowl
because Tom Brady's not good. The defense is awful. Let
me give you another thing from yesterday. Yesterday's loss to
the Titans was the patriots third double digit role loss
this season, the most since two thousand and eight. We're
talking about a decade. They have three such losses in
the last three seasons combined. This version of the Patriots

(10:02):
and Tom Brady is not the past. This is new,
the uncharted water. Chris tom Brady is sinking. The last
year we heard that Brady and Belichick hate each other
and it's falling apart, and TB twelve and the Alex
Guerrero has driven a wedge between this great organization. We

(10:25):
heard all that mess. We didn't think they were gonna
do well this season at all, and they're seven and three. Now. Again,
I'm not saying Tom Brady is at his best right now.
He may, of course, Father time at some point is
going to catch up to him. But to sit here
and say he and the Patriots are done, it's ridiculous.

(10:49):
Here we go. I'm gonnaulous. A tweet from Tommy Corrin.
He is a Patriots beat writer who covers the team,
and this is what he wrote about Tom yesterday. The
great throws obviously are there, as that dart to uh
Gordon demonstrated. But I've seen more bad not a chance

(11:12):
throws today than I've than I have in years or
perhaps ever, not all due to pressure. It's the throws
to the perimeter and downfield. This is this. This is
a guy who covers the team. Okay, that's exactly what
that tweet says. That's exactly what that tweet says. A

(11:32):
bad day at the office. He's forty one and he's
going he's on the downside, just admitted he had a well.
Of course at forty one, he's on the downside. But
is he too down for them to win a Super
Bowl or at least get to the Super Bowl. No,
in twoy fourteen, people thought he was done. This is
not new. Tom Brady's forty one years old. Go look

(11:55):
at the last years of Peyton Manning and Bret Farvin. Now,
I know you're not comparing him to Peyton Manning the
year that they that last year they won the Super Bowl.
You're telling me he's not better than that. I'm here
to tell you right here, right now, And if you
want to check it out, you could check out my
column that I wrote about Tom Brady. Were here in
your column right now, No I and it's not convincing.

(12:16):
And and let me tell you about Let me tell
you the column on the Shadow League dot com. And
I want I want to read you the lead of
the column. And I want you to tell me if
you think I'm I'm going overboard. Here's the lead of
the column today on the Shadow League about Tom Brady.
And everybody knows that the guy his career is going south.

(12:39):
But my lead was very simply, if I can find it,
He's got seventeen touchdowns seven interceptions this year. Tom Brady
may have thrown his final touchdown pass for the New
England Patriots. That's the leader to cast a ridiculous especially
you you're a great columnist, but come on, man, that's

(12:59):
you know, it's privilege you put the words in their
over dramatic premature. You know it is. His QB rating
right now is better than his QB rating for all
of twenty thirteen. Now, but twenty thirteen. And that's what
I'm saying. That was he in twenty thirteen. He wasn't
forty one years old. He's forty one now. And just
take a look at what you're watching the icon. Tell

(13:19):
you know what you brought up Brett Farve when he
was forty one. Guess what Minnesota's record was? Six and ten.
The Patriots are seven and three. I don't care what
his QBR is. What is statistics are how many touchdown
paths he throws? Two throws? If they are seven and three,
if they get to the super Bowl, that's all that matters.

(13:41):
But you can get to the super Bowl. This team
is no good, can it does? The team that's the
juggernaut in the AFC, Kansas City, Automatic Bitsburgh can be Tennessee, Houston.
These teams can be Again, I'm not saying the defense
there definitely Tom Brady's bad. It just facing christ me

(14:03):
seven seven ninety nine, or he's falling off the cliff
of the last three games eight seven seven nine nine
six six three six nine. Hit us up if you
want to weigh in. You always talking around Rod Parker
not being a prisoner at the moment, and you keep
bringing up three games. That's not the pre game moment.
When I bring up Tom Brady's career, you say, Chris,

(14:25):
you're a prisoner. His career is eighteen years long, and
now you're bringing up three games as if that's the definitive.
That's it. That's the end of tom Brady's career. Come on,
that's a quarter of the season almost, and don't forget that. No,
it's not a quarter to season. Four the season almost
four days. But also on the quarter to season, but

(14:47):
also tom Brady is not it's not up just about defenses,
and that's going up against Tom Brady or his own
physical thing. It's father time. Nobody beats father time. Father time.
You've been say how long you been saying he's gonna
he's falling off five minutes? No, no, about five years,
about five years. That's it. Hit us up. Eight seven

Fox Sports Radio on a Metal Monday, everything coming in
from the break will be some heavy metal. Is this?
I don't think this is heavy metal though, Oh this

(15:51):
is heavy? Is pop rock? Pop rock? What's pop rock?
I got some pike some pop rock from the eighties
or something like? I admit I don't know metal. Yeah,
what'd you say? Was metal? Last time? A C d C? Yeah,
that's pop rock. I like a CDC. How about rat Uh? Yeah,

(16:12):
there's one across a Smith No Rod Talk Aerosmith's kind
of you know when I started like it? No, No,
that's not that's when run DMC uh did walk this way.
That was good. That was a good That was a good,
dumb mixture. Yeah, all right, it's not as a good
mixture when Tom Brady's bad in the defense is bad though.

(16:34):
Let's just let's just save you from your misery. R
eight seven, seven ninety nine A fox is all number. Yeah,
let's get to the call or see what they think.
It's Tom Brady done. As Rod Parker says today and
has been saying for the last five years, I've been no.
I haven't been said Rob. I've been saying I think
he started every year for the past five years saying

(16:55):
Brady was done. I told you before this season. I
gave you the numbers. I showed you the comparison between
him and Brett Farb. I told you it was gonna happen.
Three games with one touchdown, everybody interception stuff. I told
you you can't catch this ball because they're so inaccurate,
even if even if defenders can't. Can you know the
only stat that matters right now for Tom Brady at

(17:16):
this point of his career wins and losses, and they
are seven in three. That's all I got to kid
yourself close. Let's go to Neil and Mintan and Neil.
Welcome to the Odd Couple. Neil, how are you. I'm
doing good. I love you guys show, Thank you, thank you. Yeah,

(17:38):
that's why I come. Man. You know, it was a
bad game for New England yesterday. Thank you. There's a
whole team after the whole team just they just they
weren't jelling at all. Neil, I hear you, I said,
I hear you on that. But but I want you
the last three games he has one touchdown. Don't tell

(17:59):
me that Tom Brady playing well and beat guys. Guys
who cover the team, they keep saying that his passes
down field are terrible, like he's a knuckleballer. That's how
bad they are. Go ahead, Neil. You guys, Hey, Kelvin
in Iowa, you're on the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. Hey,

(18:20):
what's up, guys? Love your show? You Yeah. So Rob
was on Colin Cowhard Shirt show, and I think he
pulled up Dak and Tom Brady and that is somerightening stuff. Yes,
not as frightening as Tom Brady spilling spaghetti all over
the field and tripping on himself. I mean, is this
what you expect from the goat Chris, He's forty one

(18:43):
years old, Kelvin stumbling and bumbling. He looked terrible. All
I'm saying, First of all, nobody ever said he was
a great athlete. All right, don't bring up him as
a receiver as proof that he's no good anymore. And
that's the issue. I'm not saying. Tom Brady is beginning
to decline. He against the Blitz. He's always been great

(19:04):
in the pass. He has struggled this year. He's one
of the worst this year against the Blitz. But all
I'm saying is he's still a good quarterback, good enough
to lead this team to the super Bowl. That's all
I'm saying. I'm not saying he's all pro anymore. He's
Are you telling me, Calvin he's not good enough to

(19:24):
lead them to the super Bowl? No, I don't think so.
I'm with Rob all the way. And also, can we
get the merchandise? I don't like it. I love a church. Please, Yes,
we're gonna, We're gonna get there. Thank you, Calvin, good call.
I don't love it. I like it. I don't love him,
but I like it. Eddie and DC, you're on the
eye couple. Speak to me. Rob Parker, Have you have

(19:45):
you lost your mind? I'm like, are you? I think
you hang out with Skip Bayless too much? Now, yes,
he does. You're getting the Skip Bayless syndrome where you
you will keep on saying so, I think until it
eventually comes true. I'm I'm a Steeler fan and I
hate the Patriot. However, I would like you to name

(20:06):
the quarterbacks that you would won instead of Brady currently
right now, Like, go through the list and let me
know who is Brady? But Eddie, I get that whole point,
But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about
where Tom Brady was compared to where Tom Brady is
and Tom Brady this year has not been good. I'm

(20:28):
just I know they're still winning the AFC's AFC is weak.
But Tom Brady no touch Don't tell me that you
would believe you with the one touchdown in three weeks.
I don't believe you would. That's good. You think you
think he's playing well ed He called him a prisoner
at the moment. That's what you If you stick him

(20:50):
in Kansas City's offense, you think he's gonna do fluttering
passes down the field. He can't throw the ball. He
can't throw the ball. Did you see him trying to
run for first down after he caught a pass? He
was terrible, Tom Brady. You remember when he ran out
for that pass in the Super Bowl? He looked like
the dude Nobody ever said he was a track star.

(21:11):
He's forty one years old. This is when guys drop
off in the NFL. It's well documented. What well documented? Again,
I don't care about his individual stats. I don't care
about his receiving numbers. I care about whether or not
he can get them deep into the playoffs. You wanna
tell me he can't get to them Super Bowl? No,

(21:32):
not the way he's playing right now. Nope, not with
that defense. Tom Brady could do that. Thank you. Let's
go to Justin in the truck you're traveling on the road.
Welcome Justin to the eye couple than by the way,
thank you. First off, you're at your mind, rob you
take you take three anybody's worth three days and judge

(21:55):
the whole job. We're all jobless. Well, but I'm but Justin.
He's forty one. Now, let's just be honest. Now do
you go he's on the decline. I disagree with Chris
on that I think he's not getting them the super Bowl.
I think it's the finals. I do. I think this
is his last year. If he doesn't cut this last year,

(22:16):
he's definitely going the way a far worse if not
next year. But I didn't think. I don't think he's
out of the way. Look at look at if the best.
If one of the best can have three bad days, right, Yeah,
I got that Nick Foles won the Super Bowl and
he's arguably a terrible quarterback, so objectively a terrible quarterback,
so objectively one of the good ones can have some

(22:37):
bad days. Did no doubt about it. But that's why
Brady can't be considered to go, because at one year old,
you can't. You This has nothing to do with him
being the goal if unless he wins it, it's just
more proof that he's the goal if six super Bowl.
Appreciate your call justin thank you, and and then let
me say this quickly before we go to t J

(22:59):
our last car for the break. But I'm not saying
they're definitely getting to the super Bowl, No, I know that.
I'm saying they are still very much capable of getting
to the super Bowl. With Tom I'm telling you what
the defense plan as poorly it is it is, and
Tom Brady everybody's defense. You're not going to be there,
all right, TJ and Georgia. You're on the your couple,

(23:19):
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, TJ? What's going on? Rob?
How you doing? Great? Man? How you doing? I'm fine.
Chris's actually one of my favorites. Uh so what kind
of hurts me to disagree with you a little bit?
But I got to Rob, Yeah, I think you're being
a little bit ridiculous when you said he's never gonna
throw a touchdown in a Patrick uniform. Again, I'm just

(23:41):
saying he's got one over the last weekend. Maybe he
doesn't get another touchdown ridiculous. That might be a tag
bit too far, But you are on the something. So
if you're comparing him to Peyton Manning, everybody knows that
two thou fifteen year with Payton man and botoms out.
But the year before that was when he really started
to show slippers. One of the ways he sold slippers

(24:03):
is in the number of interceptions he threw. That year
he threw fifteen. The year before that he had only
threw eight. Tell him bourteen to fifteen. John, he asked
seven interception last year. He has seven interceptions through ten
games that matter. Fourteen interception page. That's about twelve. So

(24:23):
that means he's gonna throw. I'm gonna saying gonna throw
ten in the final six games. You just said his
last three games he hadn't had any intercessors. Well, he's due,
he's overdue, all right. You know who else is due,
Rod Woodson, Hall of Fame defensing back. We will get
him to settle this. NFL analysts for Fox Sports and
other places on the tube. That's coming up next. It's

(24:47):
the Eye Couple Fox Sports Radio. But first let's bring
in Dab Carson for what's trendy. Gentlemen, Well, thank you,
I'm and blessed great to be here with you. Guys.
Had a great weekend, had a fantastic weekend. Unfortunately the
Boys and Girls Club event was postponed because of the
fires and everything, so we'll make that up. But yes,
prayers for everybody out there. Tom Brady is still the goat.

(25:10):
Looked awful yesterday, but he's still the goal. He looked
like the Billy go lat yesterday, all right. Staying with
the NFL Week ten wraps up tonight, Giants taking on
the forty nine Ers eight fifteen Eastern from Levi's Stadium.
Another NFL news, Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the buccaneers starting
quarterback for Week Elevin's game against the Giants. The team, though,

(25:30):
did release kicker Chandler katon Zaro, who missed a pair
of field goals in Sundays lost to Washington Angels. Two
way Star show Hey Otani has been named the AL
Rookie of the Year. O'tani edged out Yankees infielders Miguel
Anduhar and Glabor Torres for the award. In the National League,
it was Braves outfielder Ronald Kune Junior picking up the honors.

(25:51):
He topped Juan Soto of the Nationals and Dodgers starter
Walker Bueller in voting. NBA, the te Wolves and the
Sixers made it official. They announced their five player trade
that sends Jimmy Butler to Philly. Tonight, Sixers are at
the heat. Jimmy Butler not playing tonight. He'll make his
debut for Philly on Wednesday night. Another game of note. Tonight,
ten thirty Eastern Warriors take on the Clippers. Draymond Green

(26:13):
will return from his toe injury. He will play Steph
Curry though out tonight and tomorrow night because of his
strained groin. Guys, thanks Dab, appreciate you of course, all right,
coming to you live. It's the eye couple from the
guy Coo Fox Sports Radio Studios. It's easy to say
fifteen percent or more on your car insurance. Make sure

(26:35):
you visit gueco dot com or call eight hundred nine
four seven Auto. The only horror part is figuring out
which way is easier. And we will not be bringing
on Rod Woodson. So I know you think he's he
was gonna agree with me. He wasn't the last time.
He was only agreed with me about what. Yeah, he

(26:59):
said he would take a Rogers is better Jesse did
right now. Of course, you take Aaron Rodgers over Brady brad.
You see how terrible Brady was yesterday in Nashville. He
was awful yesterday, awful. Roy Woodson moving on, Roy Woodson,
Will is doing the Monday night football game the night
between the Giants and the forty nine Ers for Westwood One.
So that's why we won't get him. We'll get him

(27:20):
later on in the week, but we want to hear
your views. Do you agree with Rob or me? Who
is saying right? Uh? Tom Brady still got some good
football left in that arm. Let's go to George in Miami. George,
welcome to the Eye couple guys, Thanks for taking my call.

(27:40):
Thank you hey on this one. Rob, I'm usually on
your site, but I gotta totally disagree. Let's let's start
off by this. You remember Judi and Edaman was suspended
first four games. Uh, Grankowski has missed what the last
two games, and they're still sleeping in. They're still seven
and three. You know what, I see them in the

(28:01):
Super Bowl. Guess what next Monday night, Kansas City will
lose to the Rams, so they're only be one game behind,
and I think the charges will be Kansas City, so
that means home field advantage in New England. I'll take
my chances Tom Brady. All right, George Tyker, You're crazy
because I don't know how many more games the Patriot's

(28:22):
gonna win with as poorly as the defense is played
and as poorly as Tom Brady has played. So you're
you're chalking up all these home field and all this
other stuff. There's no guarantee. Have you seen to Tom
Brady that doesn't matter who they're playing about. George brought facts,
you're bringing feeling. No, I'm not. Here's their schedule. I

(28:43):
don't want to hear this. Yeah, I bet you don't
because it doesn't go along with your argument. The Jets
next week, that's scary. Oh yeah, the Jets, all right,
their coach might be God, who knows, who knows who
gonna be the quarterback. But Tom Brady, if if he
doesn't throw a touchdown, beat the Jet. Okay, they got

(29:04):
the Jets. Then they got the Vikings. That'll be a
touch of loss, the tough one. Let's say that's off.
Then they got the Dolphins. That's another win. They always happened. Really,
they beat him in Babies seven last that game in Miami,
and y hey, Rob g here's where christ no go.
Look up the Patriots record in Miami over the last

(29:25):
five or six years. They always lose in Miami. Then
they have wings on it that they got. The Patriots
have a losing record in Miami in the last five years.
You want to bet that right off? What I'm doing
that game? No, I'm don't care about the last five
miam You really want to compare the last five years? Yes,

(29:45):
compare super bowls. No, that's all she cares about a
regular seasoning you in Miami. I don't care about that.
Then they got the Steelers that'll be in time. I
don't even give you, thank you. I'll give you Vikings
and Steelers. What do you say, two and four? Is
that the record? It's like I no, no, Drob g
just gave me the record in Miami. All right, fine, look,
I'll give you Vikings and Steelers. But they also have

(30:08):
the Jets, the Dolphins, the Bills, the Jets. Again. That
that's three. That's four wins and two losses. No, it
ain't as I said, eleven and five. They're not gonna
finish eleven and five. It's just terrible. Let's go to
Michael in Maryland. Michael, welcome to the Eye Couple. Hello, Hey,

(30:31):
what's up? Hello? Thank you for taking my call, first
time call. I love your show. Thank you, buddy. This
one I'm a call and say that I think this
spell trouble for the Patriots. And one way that doesn't
look like Gronk can stay healthy and Edelman has had

(30:53):
health issues. But if it if the Chiefs to win
the division, I mean the conference, then the Patriots will
probably will lose in Kansas City. All right, thank you, Michael.

(31:13):
Look again, I'm not saying they're guaranteed to win the AFC.
They need. They are very much in the hunt. I
just gave you on the role they've been. They've had
terrible role losses this year by double digits. They had
terrible role losses in two of the years. They want
when Tom Brady threw one touchdown in three weeks and

(31:34):
it doesn't happen. Look, Roy, I'll give you that. He's
on the decline, as he should be at forty one
years old, but done toast no longer any good. No,
I can't give you that. I can't give it. I'm sorry.
I'm trying to save you from himself. All right, Dion Lewis,
he seems to be like a Ry Parker. No that
that you want to talk about? Real? Okay, Dean Lewis

(31:58):
now your former Patriot now playing for the Titans. He
threw a little shade at time, but not time Brady,
but at the Patriots. Yeah, all right, we'll see here.
Here's what Lewis said. There's a real sweet win you know,
especially when you used to be there and they didn't
want to bring you back. So definitely real. Sweet, I'm
happy my teammates came out and played and I love

(32:18):
dis guys. So it's a little personal hell. Yes, personally,
that's what happened. When you go cheap, you get your ass. Kid. Yeah,
I stop it. That's what they threw the pig. They
robbed every all those players, take away their good years,
did talents, and they don't pay them they did, they
don't win. What's their job? No, that job is to
win Super Bowl. Brady got paid. Their job is to win.

(32:42):
They got five super Bowls. Everybody else gets screwed there.
That's what they do. Their job is to win super Bowls.
They're not a charity, and ain't about a charity. It's
about paying people produce. Dean Lewis may what Dean Lewis did.
What Dean Lewis some type of all pro know that
about them. But lewis talking trash after one regular season game,

(33:04):
when this team wins super Bowl after super Bowl after
super Bowl, super Bowl? To check himself, they lost last
year and they was given a gift two years ago.
They lost. He needs to be worrying about the Texas.
What what is their record? The Titans five and four?
So how did they beat the not get yourself in
the playoffs, Dion, Let's do that first. You got the

(33:25):
nerve to start talking trash. Come on, that's why they
get their butts kicked. They don't get their butts kicked.
They don't care about a Sunday in in in early November.
Let's talk in January. I bet you Dion won't have
anything to say in Lake January. I love that he
came out to the night that they that they kicked

(33:48):
uh the Patriots, but he spoke up. I loved every minute.
Is he gonna have anything to say in Lake January?
Because they'll be He'll be at home with the Patriots.
He'll be at You'll be doing the same thing you
and I are doing the game to direct TV, Tom Brady.
You might be in an old folks home eating jello bided.

(34:09):
All right, you're tripping, man. You see you're going overboard.
You're going too far. I'm just letting you know, all right,
Carmelo Anthony, I'm a huge fan, but I got a
message for your brother, and I'll share it with you

the eye couple of Chris Brusar and Rob Parker. I
remember that music. That was the same music I would
hear in the car when they would chase me through

(36:05):
the neighborhoods did a high school. We were not surprised
that that gotta win, all right, Carmelo Anthony, let me
say this now. The reports there were first reports that
the Houston Rockets might wave Carmelo because he was away

(36:27):
from the team last two games. Illness, right, illness right now.
The latest reports are that they're going to look to
trade him. He probably won't play for him though they
may trade him, and he's gonna sit out until he
gets traded. Here here's the deal. I think Carmelo Anthony

(36:49):
was a great player. I think Carmelo Anthony you say
in past tense, yeah, because he's not anymore. I think
Carmelo Anthony is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and
I think that's from the PROSKA. He's the nineteenth leading
score of all time. His career, he's probably averaging what

(37:09):
check it out for me, rob G twenty five points
close to that for his career, probably twenty three twenty four.
He was a great player. He's obviously had tremendous success
in the Olympics. I think won three gold medals, first
ballot Hall of Famer. But it's time for Carmelo Anthony
to retire. So why should he retire if he just
needs to write fifth? Chris, he doesn't just need the

(37:30):
right he twenty four point career scoring average, he doesn't
need the right fit. He's done, and there's no shame
in being done in your sixteenth year. Most stars, not
just most players, most stars don't even play sixteen years.
Michael Jordan didn't play sixteen years. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird
did not play sixteen years. Don't look at Lebron James

(37:52):
and say, oh, he's still great. I can be that. No,
look at the rest of your draft class. Duwayne Wade,
he ain't not very good anymore. Chris Bosh retired, Nick
Collinson retired, David West retired. Feet in his darko Milliships
been out of the leafever, most people in his drive

(38:13):
class are done playing basketball. Dante Jones sits up with
us at Fox Sports, commentating Luke Walton in that same
drive class, it's a coach. There's no shame in your
sixteen season not being able to play at a high
level anymore. And what good team is gonna want to
try to fit in? Carmelo Anthony, I was talking to

(38:36):
a scout today who said he's talking with a group
of scouts and they're saying, if he's not in Houston,
they can't figure out where he would go. So don't
get embarrassed that nobody wants to trade for you. You
could go get embarrassed by going somewhere else and it
being ugly. Go out before people start to remember you

(38:58):
as this journeyman who couldn't fit when any teams for
the last three, four or five years of his career.
Go out. Now, I think the one point that you
do make, which is legitimate, because I understand that most
guys they don't want to believe it when it's over,
even when it's over, right, I get that part. But
the one point you make that I do agree with

(39:19):
is the longer you hang around and bounce from team
to team. People look at you and they start to
remember the last the way that they last went they
saw you, and they forget about the prolific score you were.
They forget about that you want a championship at Syracuse
and you were unbelievable in the tournament, one of the
greatest tournament runs ever. Right, I mean all that other

(39:40):
stuff that now has been kind of buried under this
idea that nobody wants you or you don't fit anywhere.
That's the other part, And I think, to be honest,
the only reason that they haven't done anything is Carmelo
doesn't want to be embarrassed. Carmelo wants to be traded
somewhere or some other situations so that he doesn't feel
like I got relieved, but just an embarrassing thing. He

(40:01):
doesn't want to be released. I believe that. No. I
think you hit it on the money. Look, it's tough.
One of the toughest things in sports is for a
soup an aging superstar to accept that they're not that
guy anymore. Allen Iverson, you were in Detroit. I watched
it obviously covering the league. He couldn't accept that he
was no longer the superstar. He could have played five

(40:23):
six more years, easily be the number one option score,
an option off the bench, coming with the second unit,
could have prolonged his career, but he didn't want to
accept that he wasn't that guy anymore. Right, and got
that money too, that it wouldn't have been the superstar money.
But it's a few million here and there, you know,
a right. But the thing of difference between Iverson and

(40:47):
Mellow is Iverson's end didn't sully his reputation or image
because Iverson was iconic, like it was beyond his basketball
exp He in a lot of people, the corn rolls,
he brought hip hop to the NBA, all that, and
Mellow is a again, I think, a first ballot Hall
of Famer, great player. You're not iconic, no, but you

(41:10):
look at Melo differently. Mellow to me has become like
an enigma, like he doesn't fit anywhere. He's one dimensional.
Nobody people look at him and go, nobody gets better
when they when they play with him. It's it's it's
not a good look me the mellow of Lake. No.
And so I think, look, is he good enough to
still play in the league. Yeah, is he good enough

(41:32):
to probably start on a bad team and give your
fifteen sixteen points a game. Yeah, but you don't want
that for Melow. All right, it's the I Couple of
Fox Sports Radio. We're just getting started. Keep it locked
two more hours. Yes, indeed, it is the I Couple.
I'm Chris Brussar alongside my partner in may Man, Rod Parker,

the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. Fifteen minutes could save

(41:56):

sure you visit guy dot com for a free rate quote.
And we will stick here with the basketball. We're just
talking about Carmelo Anthony and we want to move on
to Jimmy Butler. Rob there was a blockbuster trade this weekend.
Finally Jimmy Butler gets his wish and gets traded from

(42:18):
the Minnesota Timberwolves and he goes to Philadelphia. The meat
of the deal, there's some minor pieces thrown in, but
the meat of the deal was Jimmy Butler for Dario
Sarich and Robert Covington. And I look, Jimmy Butler is
a tremendous player. You cannot watch him play and think

(42:39):
anything else. He's gritty, he's tough, he's a great defender,
and offensively he's skilled. He hits the mid range, he's
decent from three, but can get to the basket with
the best of them. And he's gonna give you twenty
two points a night and also a few assists and rebounds.
So he's a great player. I am just not sure

(43:03):
that he is going to fit in Philadelphia. I hope
he does because I'm dying for Ben Simmons, who I
think plays a lot like Magic Johnson, and Joel Embiide
to be relevant in the Eastern Conference playoffs in late
May and maybe going to June. I want them to

(43:25):
become a great team, the hubs of a great team,
and if Jimmy Butler fits in Philadelphia, then there's no
doubt that they can be just that. But I'm skeptical
for several reasons, basketball reasons. He's a little bit ball dominant,
and that's gonna take the ball out of Ben simmons hands.

(43:46):
And they dave up in Sarich and Covington a lot
of their three point shooting now pretty much JJ Reddick
is there only three point sniper that's left spacing could
be an issue. And then beyond the ball, I just
wonder if Butler's going to fit there. He didn't fit
obviously with Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins, two young

(44:08):
prodigies in their own right in Minnesota. And is he
going to be fine not being the man in beads
the man he's Butler's gonna be at least the second
leading score if not the first. But Simmons may even
be higher on the pecking order. So I just think
there could be challenges there in Philadelphia. What do you think?

(44:28):
I hear your concerns about it, But I also believe
that Billy looked at itself. They're not off to the
to the start that they thought they would have Chris.
They look at the team and they say, are we
the favorites to go to the Eastern Conference? And they're not.

(44:50):
And they're not, am I right? I mean they right now,
you know, let's see what they look like with Butler.
But honestly, right now you would say they're the fourth
best team in the exactly, And that's why I think
why they decided to make up. I remember, Covington's a
really good piece to that team, and the idea that
they would give up on him says a lot to me. Well,

(45:11):
Butler's no, there's no doubt about it. But I'm just
saying sometimes those pieces, though, just happen to fit. That's
all I'm saying. So for you to part with the
guy that really fits what you're doing tells you that
you really believe that you're not gonna be able to
make it unless you add some sort of big piece
to the mix. And that's where Jimmy Butler comes in.
I get it. You have to give to get. It's

(45:33):
going to be a process. But the way Toronto started
out and the way Toronto's playing, Boston's in the mix, right,
Milwaukee is better than and then advertised better than expected.
So now you're Philadelphia going, wait a minute. We thought
when Lebron left the division right left the the conference
that that this one we were gonna be. But it

(45:54):
was between us and Boston that we had a fifty
fifty shot of making it to the NBA Final. They
don't have a fifty shot anymore. And I think that's
why they said we're gonna stockpol another star and hope,
just hope that maybe it happens the way it happened
for Okac, but the guy and the same thing in Toronto.
Everybody laughs at Toronto. Oh you know, Kawhi Leonard's not

(46:16):
going there, He's not gonna stay. You don't know. You
go there, they get to the finals, there has a
great season, They offer more, you know, money, he likes it.
Toronto is a world class city. I know it's in Canada.
It's a world class city. It's a great city. But
but you know, look, it is a great city. And
but you know, being there, I've gone there as a

(46:37):
beat writer. It's different though. It's just you're not in America. No,
it is a different I hate that because I'm not
trying to do right. No, it's it is legitimately a
great thing I love about Toronto is everybody there where.
It's comfortable shoes. That's a good part about I don't know,
I don't know what that means. It certainly don't get
a rim shot, but it gets the wine wine wine.

(47:01):
But I'm so good, it's not It's a little different
than being in the Marya. That's all I'm saying. I
would I gotta be honest. There's a big part of me,
especially if Toronto ends up being a great team and
maybe get into the finals, I'd like to see Kauhai
stay there. I mean, that's a really good team. I
think they're a second best team in the league, and

(47:24):
it's good for the NBA for it to beat the
talent enough already. But it's changed. I mean in terms
of the East West thing. Right now, I would say
the second and third best teams in the league, Toronto
Milwaukee are now in the East. Right I agree with
Boston is as good as anybody else in the West,

(47:44):
and you know all that. But Jimmy, look, I think
it's a good move by the Sixers. I understand it
completely on paper. You've now got a legitimate big three,
and that's what you need to be able to compete
for a championship in this league. And the part you
got rid of Sorrich and Covington, while they were good

(48:05):
and valuable, you can generally replace those guys if you're
a smart front office with other good role players who
hit the three and d and all that stuff. But
it's and here's the thing. If I'm Philadelphia right now,
I'm just sitting back observing, right I'm just sitting back
observing it and if it doesn't work, I mean, maybe

(48:30):
I pull a trigger on the trade in February. If
it doesn't work and clearly we're not very good, or
they go out early in the playoffs, if they keep
Butler pass the trade deadline, then you can just move
on and you'll have some cap space. So you know,
I think it's worth the risk. But I am just
the best skeptical and I'll be honest with you. I

(48:50):
think it's a good trade for Minnesota because think about
you've got Derek Rose is playing very well. I'm not
saying these back to MVP roles, but he's certainly a
very good, starting caliber point guard. And you don't know
how long it'll last, but you'll take it now. God
God willing that you know what I mean, that he'll
be able to maintain it. Carl Anthony Towns a lot. Yeah,

(49:12):
Carl Anthony Towns. His numbers before Butler and after Butler
are completely different. I mean, this year he's averaging like
fifteen points a game. Before Butler got there, he averaged
twenty five points a game that one season. So he's
probably now he's the man again, and I think he's
You're gonna see an uptick in his production. Wiggins, his

(49:36):
production went down when Butler got there. If those two
give you upticks, Rose plays well. Remember Rose is a
printer traitor. And now with sar Rich and Covington two
good three point shooters, the lane is going to be
even more open. So I think it could work out
for Minnesota. I think Tim Thibodeaux is probably it coaching

(49:58):
his last year with the timber Wolves. I don't disagree
with that, especially when him and the owner weren't on
the same page and and he didn't want to trade Butler,
and the owner was like, oh no, we're gonna explore
every option. Whenever you hear that, especially Chris in public, right,
that tells you that they're not on the same page. Yea,

(50:18):
So it's uh, it's gonna be interesting. There's certainly some
excitement now even more excitement around the league, and we'll
see what Philadelphia does. I think Marquelle Fault should go
to the bench. I think JJ Reddick needs to be
starting because he's there only really good three point shooter,
and Simmons he's going to in today's NBA, he's gonna

(50:42):
have to develop a jump shot and even if he
just take it, he's got to have the confidence to
take it. Is it a matter of when you say
he has to develop a jump shot, is it just
a threat of it, or or if he can score
at the basket and score another ways, why do you know?
Is it just a fensive what I'm saying here? Remember
last year he did like he averaged I don't know

(51:06):
what he ended up averaging eighteen nineteen seventeen to nineteen
points a game somewhere in there, and it was on
post play or drives to the bucket, because he can score.
He can't shoot, but he can score. But the problem
now is that ever since that Boston playoff series, everybody's
just playing off of him and challenging him to shoot.
So it's just harder for him to get into the bucket,

(51:28):
into the paint and score. So he's gonna have to
start taking the shot to keep defenses honest even if
he misses it. Just have them no right to keep
him honest. Make them have to guard him if you
leave him open a you know, fifteen feet out right, Yeah,
knowing that all if he's not at the basket, he's
not gonna put anything up. So I get that part

(51:49):
right eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Let's go
to Max and Lurida looks like he wants to talk
about Jimmy Butler. Max, Welcome to the Eye Couple. What's
going on, guys? Can we just lock me in now
every Monday at eight eleven pm Eastern time to talk

(52:09):
to you guys every time? Man, Max. We appreciate that.
Thank you, all right. So, anyway, we talked about it
on the Locked In podcast and I said, I think
the Timberwolves are happy because now, like you said, Chris
Cat can flourish. I think Jimmy's happy he's out of
that chaotic environment. And I think the seventy sixers are
happy because it's a star driven league. And here's why.

(52:31):
I think the East is better than ever since the
King left his throne. I think Jimmy Butler's gonna work.
Can the Eagles be an issue, Yes, But I think
his reputation is on the line because if it doesn't work,
this is his third team now. I think he realizes that.
And the seventy Sixers they needed a wing defender and
wing score and that's what Jimmy is na. He brings

(52:52):
a lot of what they needed, and they also needed
a guy that could create his own shot, and he
can do, especially Layton games. Like you look at that
series Rob last year with Boston. Yep, they that's what
they like. They could have won that they lost for one,
They could have won for one if they had been
able to close out games. Butler, I think is a closer,
so it could work out. But in today's NBA, man,

(53:14):
it's hard to play without perimeter shooting. But but but
right now they're better than they were before. I think, right,
no question on paper. I mean, like I said, on paper,
they have a legitimate big three. All right, Well, Jimmy
Butler is a star. But does he fit alongside Ben
Simmons and Joel mbiad Sixers beat writer Keith Pompeii has

(53:35):
the answer. Next, it's The Eye Couple, Fox Sports Radio.
I've very knew. Thanks for listening to The Odd Couple podcast.

All right, see couple Chris Brussard and Rob Parker. And Rob,
I'm telling you, man, car shopping can be confusing. You

(54:17):
got terms like dealer, price, list, price invoice. What you need, though,
is True Car because True Car shows you what other
people paid for the car that you want. That way
you can recognize what's a good price, what's a bad price.
Trust me, when you're ready to buy a new or
even a use car, visit True Car to enjoy or
more confident car buying experience. And we're bringing in our

(54:41):
next guests. Glad to have him on. He's a Philadelphia
seventy six six ers beat writer for the Philly Inquirer
and the Philadelphia Daily News. Rob, I remember when those
were separate, I know, back the old days. But as
Keith pomp pay you can follow him on Twitter at
Pompey on Sixers. Keith, how are you doing man? Welcome

(55:01):
to the A and I'm doing well. Thanks for having
me on Fellers. Hey, man, We're glad you came on.
And look, let's get right to it. I'm a little
bit look Jimmy Butler is a tremendous player, no doubt
about it. I'm a little bit skeptical though, of how
this is going to work out in Philadelphia. One, I
don't know if it's a great basketball fit because they

(55:22):
gave up a lot of their shooting. And Two, I
think Jimmy wants to be the man, and I think
he's gonna be the third guy behind Ben and Joel Emby.
What do you think? I don't think he'll be the
third guy. I think he may be the second. The
thing is when you make a move like this, that
tells me that they're trying to make another, you know.

(55:42):
And the thing about the Sixers, and I know the people,
you know, they got rid of their shooters, but they
didn't have anyone who could who could create their own shot,
especially like late in the game. And I think that's
what the Sixers are thinking. They also like his defense.
Now again, if Jimmy Butler decides that he does not

(56:04):
want to resign with the Sixers, and if he does
not get along with Ben Simmons or Joe LMB, then
it's going to go down as a horrible trade. But
the Sixers are banking that he will get along with them,
and they're also banking on that he will, you know,
resign with the team, Keith. Is this a move also

(56:26):
because people look at Toronto now, you know, coming into
the season, I think everybody was about Boston and Philly
and all of a sudden, Toronto came out of the
gate hard and charging. Is this a counter move to that?
And then Milwaukee's really good too, But yeah, I think
it's two things. I think that has something to do

(56:47):
with it, because you know, the seventy Sixers have been struggling.
They took they actually took a step back from last year.
And then if you look at it, think about the
free agency period last year when Brett Brown said we're
gonna go are hunting, you know, and they identify three
players you know that they wanted to go after. They
couldn't get any of them right. And if you look

(57:08):
at it this year, there's going to be a lot
of teams in the league who's going to have money
to go after free eight A lot of the guys
are going to stay with their team and or go
to places where they can be the alpha dog. So
with the Sixers are looking at they're saying, well, let's
try to do with Paul what they did with Okac
did with Paul George. We'll get Jimmy Butler in here, right,

(57:30):
We'll be able to offer him more money than anyone else.
And that's our way of getting a star to play
with the Big two. So I think that that's what
they're doing. You sound like you really like it. You
think it's a good move. You know what, I don't know,
it's it's kind of like to be determined for me.
I mean, I think you know that there's a lot
of questions, Like my thing is like who do you

(57:54):
run to play for late in the game? You know,
like are they going to get along? Is he going
to stay? And then also are you going to have
somebody else that that that you can you know, bring
in as a shooter. Now the problem is is, you know,
we're talking about them losing two shooters, but who's the
power forward right now? You understand. So, you know, I

(58:17):
think that if it all works out, it will be
good for the Sixers. But at the same time, there's
just a lot of questions, and you know, you hear
people saying, oh, they're going to go to the championship.
Now they're going to do this and do that. Well,
we have to see what they can do once they
get on the court together before people know it as
a good or a bad trade. Keith, I've heard rumblings.

(58:40):
I have no idea if it's true or not, but
I've heard rumblings that there's tension between Joel mb and
Ben Simmons, that they might not get along. Is there
any truth to that? You know what I'll say is
I don't consider them like boys like you know guys
who I don't consider them boys who like go out
and hang out and hit the club, because I mean,

(59:03):
you know, Ben is his own person. You know, Ben
has his click, he has his family, whereas Joel is
basically hanging out with um, you know, Marqual and some
other guys. So you know what I mean. You know
how it is. It's like there's certain guys on the
team when when you lace it up, y'all are like tight.
But you just have your own different interests. So there's

(59:26):
no problem on the court. There's no no real beasts.
Nah nah. Now when they lose, like the last game
that they lost, you know, when they lost to Brooklyn,
everyone looked a little upset. You know what I mean,
but but at the same time, you know, here's the problem.
You have two two alpha dogs so to speak. You know,
both of them are you know, used to be in

(59:47):
the man You know, right now this is NBA's team.
Right now, he's playing well. You know, Ben wants to
play well. Ben wants to get his numbers. But you know,
it just seems like, you know, when when they lose,
when guys lose, guys get around here, get upset. But
then whenever you know they're winning, you know they're they're
basically you know, everybody's happy. You know it's time to

(01:00:09):
sing you kombay yas and whatnot. Now, the one thing
I will say was when they lost in Milwaukee, it
was an embarrassing thing, and those two huddle and they
had a nice long talk. So to me, that showed
me that, you know, despite their differences that they may
have and not, you know, not ang with each other,
that they both you know, came together and that loss

(01:00:30):
and said, you know, this is what we're going to
do from here on out. So you know what I mean, Like,
you know, the thing is, are they boys? You know
I mean, but do they work well together? Yes? It's
the odd couple on Fox Sports Radio. Keith Keith Pompey,
seventy sixers beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquiry and Philadelphia's

(01:00:50):
Daily News, is our guests, and I guess, Keith, uh,
speaking of Ben Simmons, has he taken a step back?
Is he worse than he was a year ago as
rookie of the Year? You know what I think? You know,
here's the thing about Ben, Like if you come to
a Sixer's game and you see Ben warming up, you
see him knocking down a bunch of shots, but when

(01:01:12):
the game comes, Ben shies away from those same shots,
so you know, it looks and so now teams know
how to descend them, you know what I mean, as
if he's he's a non shooter. So I think that
Ben just needs to, you know, stop being you know,
wherever he is afraid or afraid to fail or whatever,

(01:01:33):
and just go out there and do it because it's
not it does look like he didn't get any better.
But again, I'm here to tell you like sometimes sometimes
he's just say, hey, you're taking photos and like yeah,
and all of a sudden he'll just hit like a
bunch of them in the road. But when the game starts.
He just doesn't do it. He doesn't take them at all.
All right, Keith, Well, great job man, We appreciate it.

(01:01:54):
Keep up the great work, and thanks for joining us
on the our couple. I think so is John Gruden
capable of building a team from scratch? Former Bucks general
manager Mark Dominick worked with Gruden in Tampa and he
has the answer. Next, but first, let's bring in Dab
Carson for the latest in sports. Dab, how you doing? Hey,

(01:02:15):
oh gentlemen, Yes, week Week ten, coming to a wrap
up tonight. San Francisco out to a three nothing lead
over the Giants, already nine twenty five to go in
the first quarter. These two teams have a combined three
wins on the season. San Francisco has won two. They're
two and seven Giants or one and seven Nick Mullins
making his second career NFL starts. We do have some

(01:02:37):
breaking quarterback news with one of our favorites to talk about.
The Bills have released Nathan Peterman. Guys, sorry, did I
say that it was? I think it was Matt Barkley's
success on Sunday that kind of pushed him over the edge. Barkley,
you know, they just signed him. He came in and
they beat the Jets forty one to ten. So coach
Sean McDermott, a GM Brandon Bean finally pulled the trigger

(01:02:59):
and made the decision to move on from their twenty
seventeen fifth round pick. You're being nice, You mean they
embarrassed the Jets. Yes, that's the word humiliated. Humiliated exactly.
You're being nice to the Jets and nice Peterman who
should have stayed on Seinfeld So if you wanted to,

(01:03:19):
if you're curious about in his career there in his
eight games, made four starts, three touchdowns, twelve interceptions with
a passer rating of thirty two and a half. So
Audio Nathan Peter when they are moving on, Saints have
added Brandon Marshall to their roster after Dez Bryant was
injured of course, last week. Meanwhile, the Angels two way
Star showho Tony's been named the AL Rookie of the

(01:03:43):
Year and Braves outfielder Ronald Okuna Junior one the National
League Rookie of the Year honors. Guys, all right, dab well,
thanks a lot, you bet. It is the eye couple
Chris brus Are, Rob Parker and we are coming to
you live from the Guy Coo Fox Sports Radio Studios.
It is easy to say fifteen or more in your
car insurance with Geico. Go to Geico dot com or

(01:04:04):
call eight hundred nine four seven Auto. The only hard
part is figuring out which way is easier. And we
are very pleased to bring in our next guest. He
is the former general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
and now he is on Serious XM NFL Radio, and
both Rob and I worked with him, uh years ago

(01:04:26):
at the other place. We'll just leave it at that.
It's always easy to say the other places, but regret
glad to bring in Mark Dominic. Mark, how you doing man?
How you guys doing tonight on a football Monday night.
It's great, it's good to talk to you. I used
to bump bump into you in the hallways up in
Bristol every once in a while, and uh so, it's

(01:04:47):
good to have you on the show. Well, I appreciate
you guys having me on. Looking forward to talking about
anything but Nate Peterman, Right, Yeah, I'm not. I'm tempted
to ask you a question about it, but I'm just
gonna let it go. Mark, you worked with John Gruden
when he was in Tampa Bay and you you were
in the front office. Look, they racked up a lot

(01:05:08):
of first round picks, and people wonder, though, where's the
evidence that John Gruden is going to do the right
thing with these picks? What do you think? I mean,
you worked with him in the front office. Do you
think he'll make the most of these picks or what? Well,
I mean, here's the thing. Having worked with John for
seven years as director of personnel with him and director

(01:05:29):
of pro personnel with him, and John was a big
part of our superl championship on the offensive side, and
he was helpful and very instrumental. So I give you
the positives, Jeff Christie, you know Roman Open, Ken, Dilger,
Kena mccartell, Michael Pittman. All those guys helped us win
a championship on the offensive side, and John was a
big part of that. He's really good at evaluating. I

(01:05:51):
think on the offensive side, I think for the thing
that you have to have there with him, hopefully it's
Reggie McKinney or whoever is, you have to have a
balancing force with him because he's always want to go
offense right I can't help him. He's an offensive dude,
so he's gonna always want to go offensive and offensive offense,
and he's gonna sulk when you're thinking about taking a
defensive player, and you have to be tough enough to
sit there and say, John, this is the better choice

(01:06:13):
of these two players. And if you can do that,
then I think you got a chance. But if he
just goes offense, offensive offense, what's going to happen? Is
he going to dominate the draft on his side of
the ball to make sure that he has success that
he wants to have much I get, but you want
to make sure you're taking the best player, and I
think that's gonna be the trick. I think with Oakland
walking down the next couple of years of all those
draft picks. Hey, Mark, I'm just gonna be just as

(01:06:35):
honest as possible. Is it really? Was it smart for
Mark Davis? Yeah? You might have a man crush on
John Gruen or whatever it is. But when you give
a coach a ten year, one hundred million dollars contract
and he's he's not held responsible because he's gonna be there,
gonna get every dime of his money, doesn't that put

(01:06:58):
people in a tough situation. I mean, even players, other
people who worked in When a guy has such autonomy
as John Gruden has, you know, I think it's it's
it's a reason why I think most people looked at
that contract. I'm sure thirty one other owners cringed at
the mindset of what Mark Davis did. And then even
Mark Davis coming out today talking about, well, these were

(01:07:19):
my choices. I wanted to get rid of Mac and
I wanted to get rid of Cooper, and I just
don't think that that's not the owner's position to go
out there in front of the public and talk about it.
You either you handle it as a general manager, which
I did. I took the sword many times because that's
what you do. You understand that we've got it for
the greater good. You're the mouthpiece of what's going on,
and you are part of the decision making. So I

(01:07:40):
think John Gruten wasn't going, yeah, it's okay, we'll just
trade him, you know, no big deal to me. No,
that's not how wendy. He certainly was looking at this going, hey,
I can get some picks out of this thing too,
And so I think the scary thing to your point, though,
you know, when you know, like a players frustrated in
the system or feel like he's in a bad spot,
guess what, that's your head coach for at least five

(01:08:00):
to six more years. There's no debate about it, and
you're stuck in that mark. Do you agree with this
is a team that was twelve and four two years ago.
Do you agree with the strategy of basically getting rid
of everybody and rebuilding or do you think Gruden should
have winn in there, kept Khalil Mack, kept Amari Cooper,
and you know, try to win with what he had.

(01:08:21):
So I would have never traded Khalil Mack just never
would have done it. I would have fought him tooth
and nail on it. I would have fought the owner
tooth and nail on it and say, look, you know,
maybe this offseason, instead of spending you know, thirty five
or thirty eight million dollars on this guy here and
this guy here, which all adds up to thirty eight million,
how about we pay one of our best players in
our entire football team and a young dude. I mean,

(01:08:42):
there's one thing that you go through it and you're
just like, hey, we've got old players. We're going to
shred this off and with this team and in the restart.
There's another thing when you're like, that guy's a great
football player, and I can get two ones for him,
but I'm not sure I'm going to get two ones
out of him. I mean, the two guys that walk
in the door for him, there's no sure bet by

(01:09:02):
any stretch. So I didn't like that. Mary Cooper is
right on the bubble for me, guys, honestly, and as
much as I like a Mariy Cooper, you know he's
he had he lost some confidence in his hands, and
I'm sure what we sew him practice was a tough
one for the you know, the Raiders. That one is
a first round pick is right on the diceiness of it.
Khalil Mack never would have done it, would have fought
everybody along the play mark. I don't want to say

(01:09:23):
that Tom Brady looks old. But their rumors not out
there that the Patriots talking about moving their practice facility
to a cemetery next year. But Dan, thank you, I
don't know, not you guys, Rob, not me. Three games
and Tom Brady has one touchdown. I mean, I've seen

(01:09:44):
the decline of forty one year old quarterbacks. I saw
it with Brett Farbo had a great year at forty one,
the same guy at forty one. Can we admit that
Tom Brady and and and if you watch the game,
his passes a fluttering, he's bouncing in front of reseat brus.
He's really struggled that his decline has begun, and it's
probably closer to the end than before for Tom Brady. Well,

(01:10:08):
I mean, that's an easy statement. And I get you.
I mean I understand, like if you think about it,
by the time you're making the National Football League, your
football careers already going to the downside of the slope. Right,
You've been playing peewee ball, play hide in high school
and in college, and then even in the NFL. Well,
you've already played thirteen years. You think you're played thirteen
years in the league. So you're already going sadly down
the road. Now, I will say this, you sound like

(01:10:29):
you're headed towards Trent Billford. Be careful what you say territory.
And so you know, if you remember Trent to folks
a couple of years back, was like, ah, that washed
up the seasons over where it's over for the Patriots
and they go back and win a championship. I'm not
about to right off Tom tom Brady in any sense.
I mean, I know, hey, look, you gotta give the
Titans credit. They made him look human. It was his

(01:10:50):
worst performance I've seen out of Tom Brady in a
long time. You can go back to the Detroit game
this year and say that was an ugly game, but
you know, the Tennessee game was his worse. But if
I and willing to put my mindset towards what I
think the Patris will be, this year is not the
year I say at the client of Tom Brady. We
could talk about the offstasy when the Austin to get here,
but I'm not ready to dump him yet. But thank

(01:11:11):
thank you for that. But this is the reason though,
and we're going to talk about this coming up, But
this is why Bill Belichick, though was ready. He always
about he was one of He's one of those guys
who would rather get rid of you a year or
two early than a year or too late. And Jimmy Garoppolo, right,
Garoppolo was the guy that he really wanted to be,
that heir apparent, but he lost out to the owner

(01:11:34):
and deep down and I'm not saying he's wishing bad
stuff on Tom Brady, but I bet you he's going
to himself. This is what I'm talking about long term. Well, yes,
you could say that again, sadly for Jimmy Garoppolo, which
was why I was never a fan of doing the
big offsets and contract stared a little bit to prove
he had the franchise, saying he could have just waited,
and now he's coming off a sad, miserable immediate injury.

(01:11:57):
It is what it is. In Tom Brady's case, the
problem he kept playing good. I mean, you know, you
could sit there and say I want Jimmy Garoppolo, but
then you realize, um, you know he's still playing really good.
Now Tom's got one more year after this, and I
think you reevaluate it after two thousand nineteen, kind of
like the way that Drew Brees went down to New
Orleans and you sit there and say, can he still

(01:12:18):
play after twenty nineteen? Can we want to keep him? Not?
But I personally feel like this is just a dip
for a moment. But this isn't two. Tom Brady is
Mark Levian Bell. It looks like all the reports are
saying he's not going to show up tomorrow for the
Pittsburgh Steelers. Do you think he's done the right thing
giving up fourteen and a half million dollars this year?

(01:12:40):
And is he going to get this huge contract? And
I'm talking about Todd Gurley type. The Jets are gonna
give him Todd Gurley money. Rob and I keep debating this.
I think he's gonna get paid, and he should, but
I don't think he gets girly money. What do you think.
What's what's it gonna look like for him next season
or in the off season when it's time to get paid. Well, yeah,
I be getting girly money or this is a huge mistake.

(01:13:02):
So I think you'll get girly money. I do think
you'll get that. But the problem is, as much as
I have seen the lens from both sides now in
terms of being a front office guy and the general
manager and doing contracts and now working with players sometimes
and helping them in terms of what they're doing with
their careers, you can never get back this much money.
I'm a big believer, Like you want to make a

(01:13:23):
statement at the bye week he should have come back
Thursday night game. He should have come back. These are
too big a checks. This isn't one thing to make
a statement. But at fourteen almost fifteen million dollars to
sit there and miss a whole season, I don't care
what would have happened to his knee. You saw some
bad injuries this week and with Ronald Darby and Cooper
Cup and these things happened in the National Football League.
But fifteen million dollars is money that when you're thirty one,

(01:13:46):
thirty two, thirty three, you'll never see that again, and
it balances back out and I just think that you
left too much money on the table. I would have
rather you've been to Kirk Cousins a bet on yourself.
You just say I'm gonna be there and get paid
crazy money instead of taking I don't need fifteen million
dollars because I'm afraid he's never going to see that
money back and you're gonna regret it. But Mark, with
the loophole that they have of the CBA, which allows

(01:14:07):
him to become right basically right, he goes right into
the third the third tender quarterback, so they're not gonna
tender him. He's gonna become a free agent. Okay, and
I agree with you. I'm with that. But the problem
is that I have is even if the Jets want
to pay him Gurley money or the whoever, the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers, so whoever wants to pay him Todd Gurley

(01:14:29):
money or better, you just walked away from fifteen million
dollars guaranteed. So you know, I get that the Jets
are giving you maybe three years. You gotta be really
focused on when this contract comes down, what's the guarantee
and what's the rolling guarantee. The rolling guarantee is what
we always hear in the media, like, oh, yeah, he
got seventy five million dollars or forty two million dollars guaranteed.
But the reality is some of that guarantee doesn't trigger

(01:14:50):
unless he makes a team one or two years down
the road. Sweet if he's on the roster, then this
becomes fully guaranteed. That's fake guaranteed. And that's what I'm
afraid he's gonna get. And if you can't they help
you in next year, that money could disappear to Mark
as a front office person. When you see James Connor
step in and be as productive and to be honest,

(01:15:10):
even a little bit more productive than Levion Bell. What
does that make a GM for another team think? Does
it make you think it's the offensive line? Or I
can get a you know, another back who could do
what Leon could or could do, or he's not as
good as I thought he was, or what does it
make you think? Now? It makes you wonder a little bit.

(01:15:31):
But the reality is, Levian to me is such a
super I mean, I love the dude, I love the player,
and I'm not afraid to pay a running back. I
would not be afraid to pay a running back preach,
preach to Chris Bussar, preach, tell him he's good. Yeah,
but I think what separates Bell is that, you know,
here's the guy that can catch eighty five balls out
of a back to and that's so unique as good

(01:15:53):
as And I'm very very happy for James Connor and
the Steelers with Kevin Colbert, Mike Tomlins. They've got to
feel like they gotta do I spead in the cap one.
You know, we're drafted good, We're developing good. Juju smith Suster,
we got James Conner, We got dudes that are coming
through here that are really super talented on offense, and
so I feel good there. But I think Bell still
is such a I mean, he's on pace. Sadly, this

(01:16:15):
is what I was surprised on Bell two. He's on
paces set some NFL records. If this guy could have
a long career, you get a chance to go down
and you know the Frank Gore started to hit towards
Frank Gore world in terms of his production. And so
that's one of those things where I hate for him
to missus season, but he's got to do as you
want to do. But I still think UM get him
as a backfield receiver as unique. Hey Mark, we got
thirty seconds. This is another debate that we can't seem

(01:16:37):
to shake. Who's the best quarterback you've ever seen play?
As far as just the way they played a position,
skill set. So this will throw you back old school
for me because I came in the league back. My
favorite quarterback of all time was Warren Moon. Wow wow wow.
Just the naturalness of the way he threw the football,

(01:16:59):
everything of effortless. He was just beautiful watching him throw
the ball. He could throw the deep ball. I mean,
right now, I love Drew Brees, so he wants me today.
I think Drew Brees is a tech better than Aaron
Ter than Aaron Rodgers. I think he is. I personally
think Drew Brees has been stuck in I hate to
say stuck the media and we all like to watch
Green Bay and the Packers and the lower because of

(01:17:19):
Dart Farv and all that stuff. Drew Brees to me,
if you could say, I gotta go win a game tonight,
I would take Drew Brees. That's great stuff, mars, great interview,
great information. We appreciate it, and I'm glad. Is good
to catch up with you, all right? Is the hottest
radio show in the country or game show on a

(01:17:42):
radio station in the country. Sources say, you see how

say check, check, check everybody. Sources say, these two have
been covering sports for nearly three decades, apiece. I will
say this. Let's put the big Jay journalists to the test.

(01:19:13):
It's sources say, yes, sir, sources say the couple of
Fox Sports Radio featuring Chris Broussard and Rob Parker. These
guys have over ninety nine years of journalism experience combined,
and we like to put their journalism skills to the test.
Year eighty of those years, about eight about seventy five
of those years of Rob Parker, it's just you mean,

(01:19:35):
when you talk about the quality of the work that
I've done, is that what you're talking about? How long
it will live on? Right? Exactly? Remember I was a
Journalist of the Year, Sports journalists of the year. This
yeah again, you're gonna let us forget now again. All
of these, all of these stories sound a little real,
little bit fake, and we got to see if their
journalism skills can tell the difference between real news and

(01:19:58):
fake news. Gentlemen, my so to say no. Story number one,
the NC double A announced that by U basketball had
to vacate forty seven wins because their former star guard
Nick Emery accepted, among other things, a trip to the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter in London paid for by
a booster. Chris, My source is good. I am going

(01:20:20):
to say that is true. It sounds true. I know
I'm gonna make a mistake. May have changed that. It
might be a kid from eastern Michigan or something. I'm
gonna say it's false, a huge Harry Potter fair. Oh Rob,

(01:20:42):
why do you let Chris Pike you out like that?
I did see mine and I'm and it's interesting. That's it.
That was a Kobe brush used to be mentally tougher
than the opposition, is right? Is that what nobody wanted
to play with them? I'm sorry, all right. Story number two,
I sourced to say that during last week's mid term elections,

(01:21:03):
Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty received forty six writing votes throughout
the country. Robin, My source is good, Yes, true, that
does sound true. I'm going with true, oh, because I
know I sent it in one two to one and

(01:21:25):
Chris Brussard sources say the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Story number three, My sources say that former Sonic star
Debtlift Shrimp Shrimp is part of a development group headlined
by Bill Gates that's aiming to reinvent the toilet to
help you know the environment and everything, Chris, And my
source is good knowing, Rob Gee, this it's probably some

(01:21:51):
other player, probably some other European player, But I'm gonna
say true. I think it's true only because he played
up there in Seattle, right, Debt Love, Yeah, Uh, That's
why I think it's true. Just use less ta toilet paper,
that's all. You don't have to do anything else that

(01:22:13):
is not true? What what? Who is Bill Gates is

(01:23:17):
last Friday, as we always do, and the biggest shocker
to me was Tennessee demolishing the New England Patriots. You
mean Tom Brady, No, I mean the New England Patriots
because it's a team game. I keep trying to tell
you that it's a team game. Yeah, but when the
Patriots win the Super Bowl, they say tom Brady won

(01:23:39):
the Super Bowl. No, but you also say the Patriots
he gets credit because he's the quarterback. But everybody gets
their love. It's all about Tom Brady. Whenever they win.
It's about Tom Brady, old Tom Brady. And now they're
stinky and nobody wants to mention the decline of Tom Brady.
They're seven and three. Stop what the not gonna let

(01:24:04):
you get away with this record? Smecord. The record happens
to be how we determine who makes the player we're talking. Look,
we don't look at Oh they had a bad loss
to a mediocre Tennessee team. They can't be in the
playoffs even though they're eleven and five. That's not how
it works. And they will be eleven and five, trust me, no,
they won't be eleven seven and three. You watch Tom

(01:24:26):
Brady over the last three weeks and no interceptions. That's
what I've watched. He's got one touchdown in the last
three weeks. And if you want to read my latest
column at the Shadow League dot Com, you should go
to www dot thus shadow league dot com and the
headline on the column is tom brady decline is clear

(01:24:46):
as day and the lead of my column. And I'm
gonna read this to you, Chris, in case you have trouble,
you know, get into the site and reading it from
all right, tom Brady may have thrown his final touchdown
pass for the New England page. Stop it. Even you

(01:25:06):
don't believe that it's not a great league, because everybody
knows it's ridiculous. I said may have. I didn't say
he did. May have tom Brady's only thrown one. How
can you even fix to type that? What? I believe?
That's the greatest quarterback of all time? MVP? Will you

(01:25:29):
admit Chris boussaw that the decline of tom Brady's very evident.
We've watched it the Tennessee Titans. He tom Brady, did
you it looked like he was throwing a knuckleball football
when he threw the ball downfield. There were also plays
where he bounced the ball in front of receivers. God forbid,
why do they keep trying to throw the ball to

(01:25:50):
tom Brady on a trick play? He's the most unathletic
dad bob wearing a quarterback in the history of the NFL. Please, Tom,
who are you to rip some body with a dad bob?
What you got? I don't. I don't have a kid,
so I gotta I got a single man. I don't
have a dad Bob wearing his ug boots and you

(01:26:13):
just don't like him. I love you bringing up ug boots.
You and your feelings now appropriate song, You and your feelings? Man,
I'm not I just want you to admit that Tom
Brady's not cracked up to be. He's forty one years old.

(01:26:35):
Is he beginning to decline? I'll give you that my beginning.
He's declined. He's got one touchdown in the last three weeks.
What don't you know? Last This is what I don't
know what was the problem with last week? Last week
against Green Bay he was twenty two for thirty five
for two hundred and ninety four yards and a touchdown,
including the fifty five yarder that came on the one play.

(01:26:58):
That's why he had the yards. Tom, And if you
remember passer rating, and you know what there was the touchdown.
Bill Belichick even said to him on the sideline, which
sound who were you throwing too? Because it wasn't obvious
he overthrew one receiver. Gordon just happened to be wide

(01:27:18):
opening the ball went to it. He say it was throwing,
He said, Gordon, but that he was Why did Bill
Belichick ask that? Because Bill Belichick didn't know. But Bill,
Charlie Belichick's not. The quarterback is Tom Brady. Bill Belichick
doesn't have that genius quarterback. Mine is Tom Brady. And
here you go. I'm telling you right now, I'm in
the head of Bill Belichick. Do you know what Bill

(01:27:39):
Belichick is saying as why after watching Tom Brady the
last three weeks, he's saying, privately, here he is. Remember
the show called Herman's Head. It used to be an
old sitcom called Herman's Head, and it used to be
his brain talking to It was called Herman's Head. Google
it it show. It was on Fox. And he's like,
this is Bill Belichick's head, going, Bill Ce, you were right.

(01:28:02):
You tried to tell he's moral. Tom Brady was getting old.
You need to trade him. Jimmy Garoppolo was your guy,
and now look at this, you think he's can't can't
even throw a touchdown one lucky touchdown in three weeks.
You gotta take this old, forty one year old quarterback.
Are you kidding me? Tom Brady wearing a boots. He
can't even catch a pass when we ask saying all

(01:28:25):
that right right, that's his head. Really you think he'd
rather having injured Jimmy Garoppolo. I'm talking about why he was.
He's not even playing. Mom's not the point, isn't The
point is it's better to get rid of a guy
too early than too late. Look, tom Brady is old,
he's he's foolish. Who's the last MVP of the NFL?

(01:28:50):
By default because it's got hurt? Doesn't matter. He was
the MVP Toms A bunch of other great quarterbacks and
the back and wide receivers and defensive players last year too.
None of them got an MVP when Carson Wentz got hurt.
Tom Brady wanted by default default, it's the freaking NFL.

(01:29:11):
I ain't no default. I'm telling you. If you watch
Tom Brady closely, he's a shell of himself. Look, I
don't want to say I'm not, but but go ahead,
finish your joke, Finish your little joke. Go ahead. So
I want to hear it. You'll have no joke off
just saying you had a joke you forgot all right,

(01:29:32):
or you knew it wasn't gonna land. You didn't want
to hear that win. No, Look, I get nobody's gonna
sit here and say Tom Brady at forty one is
in his prime. All I'm saying, Rob, is he's still
good enough to give the Patriots a great shot at

(01:29:53):
winning or reaching the Super Bowl. Don't he know he's not?
Not not not They got there a year. No. Do
you you know why he hasn't given up an interception
the last three weeks. His ball is so wobbly and
and not the accurate that even though the defenders can't
catch it. You think of a receiver can't catch the
defenders can't even catch. That's not the truth. It's like

(01:30:16):
a knuckleball, That's what it is. His His UH completion
ratio fifty nine percent? Are you kidding me? Tom Brady?
Nine percent? What? That's what it was? It's sixty five
percent for the season of the thirty two qualified pastors,
Tom Brady, are you ready? Ranks eighteenth and completion percentage eighteen.

(01:30:37):
Nobody said he was in his sixteenth in yards of attempts,
right sixteen yards over attempts, and then nineteenth in touchdown
ratio and twelfth in interception of rate. He's just been bad.
I'm those are me. That's middle of the road. Okay
against the Blitz. I want to talk about being an

(01:30:59):
old man. He's now the worst quarterback against the Blitz
and the worst Matthew Stafford's better than Tom Brady. So
what are you trying to say? I mean Tom, but
he so, So what's the end on? Because I don't
care about Tom Brady's individual statistics. I don't care about

(01:31:19):
where he ranks in this quarterback statistic or that quarterback statistic.
You know what I care about wins and losses, playoff
wins and losses in the playoffs. And he can't even
know what we will be and the Patriots will be.
They will be in the playoffs, and they will have

(01:31:39):
as good as shot as anyone else in the NFL
or in in the NFL of getting to the Super Bowl.
Is all that matters with Tom Brad. You're living in
the past. You're not You're robbed. You're jumping on three games.
You are saying this four games ago I'm telling you
right here, not only is when they won six in

(01:32:01):
a row, they were due to lose. No, it's not
about losing. It's about tom Brady's playing and they always
get a break, you know, the Pats. I mean the
pack was driving to go take the lead in the fourth,
the folded team point. How an't you talking about? I mean,
see they beat the Green Bay Packers and your boy

(01:32:23):
Aaron Rodgers, fair and square. All I'm telling you is
tom Brady's not playing well enough to to cover up
as bad as the defense is. They're like the fifth
ranked defense. The defense more than half the defense, and
tom Brady, you lost Kansas City's defense. No, I don't.
We'll just beat Kansas Who'll beat Kansas City? A month ago,

(01:32:45):
I just asked Joe Nama about the Patriots defense struggling. Yes,
they are struggling there. How about Tom Brady struggling? What
about Tom Brady's arms? About Tom Baby running out for passes?
What about Tom Baby wearing a pair of august and
the super mawk struggling? Enough enough enough of the Tom

(01:33:07):
Brady hate. This guy still can lead them to the
super Bowl. That's all I'm saying. Is he what he
was two years ago. Last year maybe no, But that's
all right. And in the year's the thing, Rob, he
doesn't have the great receivers to throw. If we go now,
it's always somebody else's fault. Josh Gordon. He's got some

(01:33:30):
good receivers, but he doesn't have the great ones to
throw two and he's still getting it done. Eight seven
seven ninety nine on five. I know people are with
me here. He watched that. Most people have been with
me eight seven, seven ninety nine on fix eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. If you
want to weigh in again, Look, I'm not saying he's

(01:33:52):
in his prime, but you telling me, you told me
a week two they were done. I'm telling you what
they were Tom Brady right now. Well, you know the
easy schedule the AFC. They got a couple of breaks.
Things gonna happen this year. Tom Brady throwing one touchdown
over three weeks. Chris, if I told you that last

(01:34:13):
year that Tom Brady would go through such a drought,
you wouldn't even believe it. And the one touchdown was
a lucky one on a bat on a miscommunication with
the defense. That's the only one. He meant to go
to Gordon all the way. No, he did not. Even
Bill Belichick was like, all right, didn't be honest, tell
me who are throwing? I know that was just a
flu Okay, so what are you telling me? Do they
get beat in the AFC Championship? They don't even make

(01:34:35):
it to the FC? That teams not good enough. Tom
Brady's not good enough. Tom Brady is not good enough.
He's the problem that they got enough around him. He
is a party, got enough of the receivers, enough of
a running game, he was enough of an offensive us.
Have you seen him been running for his life and
he can't even run. Have you seen him throwing? Have
you seen him throw the ball down? Throw the Josh Gordon?

(01:34:58):
Not that I'm talking about. That was two weeks ago.
You told me his arm was dead. That was two
weeks ago. That was an overthrow. In that situation, we
didn't have an arm. But he's overthrowing people. But anybody
can overthrow a fifteen yard pass. All right, all right,
all right, did Father Time just hit Tom Brady with
a knockout punch. We'll continue the conversation with you next.

(01:35:21):

treat you like you treat you. Easy for me to say,

(01:36:03):
all right, there's some heavy metal coming in on a
metal Monday. That's right. I look, man, even if people
say that's not heavy metal, you gotta like that. That's
a CDC. Right, you like this robe? Right? I do?
But stuff? All right, Well, look, I'm up here defending
Tom Brady against Rod Parker's foolishness. And I'm not saying

(01:36:27):
he's the Tim Brady of three years ago or maybe
even last year. All I'm saying is he and the
New England Patriots still have a great chance to reach
the Super Bowl. If you watched tom Brady over the
last three weeks. A decision on an all time great

(01:36:47):
quarterback over three weeks, that's all it take. You don't
get more than three weeks, Nope, because when it starts
to go, it starts to go. One day, it just
ain't getting there. Those passes aren't getting there. And I'm
talking about beat writers who have covered this team and
have watched Tom Brady for years, and all of them
in unison as saying the decline is evident. As ever,

(01:37:07):
this is not sound the alarm because somebody's watching Tom
Brady on television. These are the guys who have covered
Tom Brady for years. They don't see the zip on
the ball. They see knuckleballs going down field. They see
Tom Brady not being able to complete passes that he
used to complete. Two weeks ago, he outplayed Aaron Rodgers.
He had one touchdown stop with the outplaying he did

(01:37:30):
having the outlay him seventeen. He threw a fifty five
yard touchdown. Touchdown was so unconvincing that Bill Belichick had
to ask him, who were you throwing? He threw for
two hundred and ninety four yards. Take away that fifty
five and that's not how it works. You don't just
take away that fifty five yard touchdown eight seven, seven

(01:37:51):
ninety nine on Fox. All right, let's go to Adam
and Boston. Adam, welcome to the Eye Couple. So Rob
Parker has been saying this since twenty fourteen, then thank
you gonna give it up? Thank you? I'm not gonna
give it up. Right, you ain't been calling him out
for five years. It's been four years, That's what I'm saying.

(01:38:12):
So what are you just gonna wait? A I mean,
eventually you're gonna get You're gonna be right. So what
are you gonna go? You know? Wait? Five months? Right?
What is it? Adam? Just help just help me. You're
Patriots fan, you're tom Brady slapping help me here. You
know this and I know it has. Tom Brady declined
this year. Be honest, absolutely I agree to that. But

(01:38:33):
that I bet you Adam doesn't think that means they
can't get to the super Bowl. They're not getting the
super Bowl with that defense. Come on, Adam, you know
who's got the great defense? Where's this great defense in this?
But Tom Brady's quarterback won't be able to cover up
the defense. You know that Adam. Listen, if if you
anybody that has Tom Brady behind that line, doesn't matter, man,

(01:38:55):
they're they go. They have a shot. Just you can't.
What do you the Chief's defense. No, I'm not buying it,
thank you. I'm not buying all that. But I'm not
buying that Tom Brady and the Patriots are going anyway
anyway that we're dead in week three, you said that. Hey,
Tor and Georgia, you're on the Ode couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up once again? Rock me, I'm wrong.

(01:39:18):
Has been the greatest quarterback for the last seven years.
We all knew it. And no matter who he cares
on his line on this why I receive running back? Yeah,
Bell check will put something in in place to hell
Tom Brady, make it hands down, Tory, you're living in
the past. Thanks for the phone call. Appreciate it. You're

(01:39:41):
a prisoner at the moment. Rob, No, I'm not your
own you. You always ripping people for me and prisoners
at the moment, and you are a prisoner at the moment,
a three week moment, that's what it is. Let's go
to Stephen in South Carolina. Stephen, Welcome to the Eye Couple. Hey,
guys bushing your show on the way home from work.
Thank you. Listen. I am a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan,

(01:40:04):
and I am as sick and tired as anybody of
seeing the Patriots continue to win, even this year. They're
seven and three. But as far as his demise being eminent,
I don't think that we're seeing anything like a two
thousand and ten Brett barb or a twenty fifteen Peyton
Manning or even this year's Eui Manning. Now is he

(01:40:24):
going to continue to, you know, throw sixty yard bombs. No,
But as a Bills fan, I'll believe his demise when
I see it, And for me to see it, i'd
have to see him at five hundred or worse by
Halloween before I start buying into the fact that New
England's dead. Hey, Steven, help me out here, Stephen. Would
you if I would have told you Tom Brady would

(01:40:45):
throw one touchdown over three games period, which included a
game against the Buffalo Bills, would you believe that that?
You know? That prised me when you threw that statistic
out there. But then again, the Bills defense been granted.
I know they've given up some points this year, but
they've also turned the ball over like crazy. Um and

(01:41:06):
granted that the Bill's defense is not bad in Tennessee's
defense isn't bad either, and you know what Green Bays either.
It's not like they're playing against um, you know, like
um the Kansas City or somebody. Right, I got you.
They won two of those three games, right, That's all
that makes Steven. It's about wins for Tom Brady? Why

(01:41:27):
is why is Tom Brady in the God conversation and
not Aaron Rodgers? Wat say, we're not what you're not
talking about that you can't divorce time the Tom Brady.
You're not talking about that tonight. We're talking about Tom
Brady for being washed up? All right. Brian from Long Beach,
welcome to the Eye Couple. I love the show. Thank you, Chris.

(01:41:50):
I'm sorry, but I gotta agree with just so the
first of like twenty cars go ahead, Brian tell them, Brian,
I think what's they're called? I think Brady. I mean,
there's no doubt that years ago, you know, but it's
how do you not beat like I think the matchup
against the Bills and even the I mean the Titans,

(01:42:13):
they've got out work yesterday there's like Rob says that
he threw one touched on over three games. How do
you do that? Like as this guy that Christie keeps
saying he was an MVP last year, how does that
even possible when you got Josh Gordon running down the
sideline that's what they brought him in for, right, Thank you? Brian.
Let me ask you this because I agree that he

(01:42:33):
is not playing typical time Brady football. But do you
are you gonna sit here and tell me that come
playoff time, the Patriots have no shot to win the AFC? Okay,
So I'm a Chiefs fan, and I mean I don't
think their defense. If they play us at home, they're
for sure not gonna beat us, and they're for sure
not gonna get beat Pittsburgh the way they're looking right now.

(01:42:56):
Whether Levion comes back or not, no doubt. Brian, thanks
for the phone call, appreciate it. Hey John in Ohio,
you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? John?
Hey guys, thanks for having me on because all you
guys do for us listening? Thank you? But how Rob?
I just gotta I gotta ask um, how naive do

(01:43:17):
you think you're being in all this, you know naive. Hey,
don't you know I have an Ivy League degree. I
got accepted to NYU with a PhD. You're calling me naive,
I do, Robin, I do Rob, and I respect that.
But at some point we're talking, we got to realize
we're talking about the goat here, all right. And as
previous poems you mentioned, just because he may look like

(01:43:39):
he is diminishing year by year, he's still part of
one of, if not one of the greatest franchises to
ever play in any sports. And it seems like every
year someone's reaching for a herative to talk about either
Tom Brady or the Patriots in general. This just seems
to be yet another one of them. I got you, John,
but I'm telling you that the numbers don't lie. Used

(01:44:00):
to be on that show in the other network. What's
it called numbers? Never were you on that show? Yep? Yeah,
but the numbers are not good for Tom Brady. And
I'm telling you all the Beat reporters who covered the team,
that's what I looked at, and all of them are
saying that his passages just aren't the same as they
were just a year ago. Let me say something, Rob

(01:44:23):
last year when Tom Brady was again the let me finish,
when he was the MVP, and when he led the
Patriots to the Super Bowl, there was a three game
stretch against Buffalo, Miami and Pittsburgh where Tom Brady through

(01:44:43):
for two touchdowns and four interceptions. You could have, had
we been on the air at that point last year,
you would have been sitting here telling me he's done.
He's forty. How over three games? How can you throw
two touchdowns? Are you imitating the exceptions? He's done? And

(01:45:05):
I'm telling your father, time is undefeated. He's the load.
You would That's what you would have been saying, you
know it? And what did he do? He was with
MVV and he led him to the super Bowl. You
you're a prisoner of the moment. You are you are.
Let's go to RC and Colorado. Welcome to the Eye couple, Hey,

(01:45:28):
Chris and Ron. First of all, light skin nation, christ
All right, that's right, lud. Know what lights can dut
a favor you guys. You guys had your run in
the early eight Tell him tell him about Ben Simmons,
State Boys, Devin Booker. That's right, yeah, and RC, you're
probably still wearing a Jerry curl too now right, Oh no,

(01:45:51):
I got my hair, braider, though I look fresh? All right?
All right, he's missing his number one offensive linement and
Shaq Mason for the past and a half game. Okay,
so right that fact, Bob, Rob didn't want anybody to
bring that up. That's because he's scared of the truth.
He doesn't like to hear the truth. Second of all,

(01:46:11):
where were you with? Dean Lewis was on in reserve
being cut from the Browns and the Eagles. When he
got with the Patriots, that's when he started winning. Right,
Let's not get the twist, and he got the nerves
that somebody still should get paid. He got the nerves
so many people season why because he wanted to get
paid like everybody. What's what's Tom Brady got paid? Bill

(01:46:31):
Belichick got paid? What the owner gets paid? What's Sunday's
game mean nothing? No, it does. It was a butt
whooping and the Patriots got it. Go ahead. R cr
C's done. He don't have any more, Rob. You have
no argument because you keep flip flopping between Brady and
the defense. So I need to know where your argument lies.

(01:46:51):
I'm saying Brady can't cover up the defense as he's
done in the past, because Brady's bad. Last year's defense
was like twenty fourth in the league and some how
they made it to the Super Bowl. I'm telling you
this year ain't gonna happen. The defense is bad and
Tom Brady's bad. RC, and thanks for calling it, light
skin brother. My last call quickly before we go to

(01:47:14):
the break, Mark from Georgia, Welcome to the Eye couple. Hey,
light skin Brother here. But Chris, I gotta disagree with you. Yeah, problem,
it's a problem with you getting cut from Nation. I
hope you know that. Go ahead. If they if they're
not at home, they won't win a playoff game. No,
they get blown out on the road every game. If

(01:47:36):
they won't and they won't beat Pittsburgh, and they won't
beat Minnesota. So if they go on, let us five Minnesota.
So you got him in the super Bowl. If they
get there, you got him in the Super Bowl. I
don't know. He didn't mean Minnesota. You meant um, Kansas City,
Kansas City, Kansas City. If if if England plays and
they they get to form seat, they got played San Diego.

(01:47:58):
They won't beat San Diego. And yeah, Mark mag San Diego.
You mean the LA Charger. I think he misremembers. Yes,
I'm saying I'm saying Chargers might the Chargers. Chargers, they
won't beat the Chargers. And if they beat the Chargers,
they got to play Kansas City in Kansas City. That's
not happening. Now. I'm not saying Brady has lost his

(01:48:21):
lost anything, but the team. Teams at the time lose
their edge. It ain't just that appreciate years. They lost
their look. Tom Brady needs to love Kansas City. And
I like Pitts. I love what the Pittsburgh Steelers are doing.
So I'm not saying I'm not just a Patriots fan.
I'm Patriots. I'm just stating facts. I'm just shooting down

(01:48:45):
this foolishness you spewing. That's all. So it looks like
I'm miss huge Patriots fan. I like the Steelers, I
like the Chiefs. I would love to see Pat Mahomes
get to the Super Bowl and win it. So, but
I don't necessarily disagree with Mark. What I disagree with
is the notion that New England is done, that they're toast,
that they have no chance. I just can't get with that.

(01:49:09):
You're a prisoner in the moment the eye Couple. We'll
be back to talk Lakers and Lebron Fox Moors Radio.
But first, first we got Damn Carson to talk a
little since in the Rob Parker's head. Hello, gentlemen, have
you seen Tom Bradley Tom Brady lately? And it's not
a good look. Well yeah, but you're acting like this

(01:49:31):
is the first time this happened. Thank you. No, it's
it's kind of like when they get off to an
awful start of the season, everybody's like, oh, this isn't
the dynasty is over. They're gonna split up and go
their separate ways. He's got great moments and he's got
average moments, and the deal is basically, uh, you know,
he's surrounded by a little patchwork quilt of you know,
pick up a little bit of this free agent ye

(01:49:55):
not go on the internet and look at Tom Brady
on the beach with his wife. Well, you realize that's
why him Rob doesn't Well yeah, he's he does have
dad Bob. But that's isn't it admirable? Wouldn't you rather
have a guy who has to work for everything he has?
Realize you realize he can't get to the super Bowl

(01:50:18):
with that body. No, I don't. He's done it several
times already. He's a pretty sight. There are a lot
of guys with you know, great pecks and great arms
that can't throw home rod ball. So it's not all
it's cracked up to me. But I'll still take him
as the goat unbelievable. Sorry, guys Sidetrack and the Ugs.

(01:50:41):
You know, I'm not a big fan, but on him
it'll work. Angels two way stars, Shoeotani is the AL
Rookie of the Year. Yes, in the National League gets
Braves outfielder Ronald Kuno Junior. We talked a little bit
about last week. Only seven guys were offered that qualifying offer.
The only one who thank you, Yes, I'll take mine
as Dodgers pitcher hung Jen Reus, so he'll make seventeen

(01:51:04):
point nine mill for next season. Those saying thanks but
no thanks, Bryce Harper, Dallas Kichel, Craig Kimbrell, aj Pollock,
Patrick Corbyn and Jasmine Grundall, so they will all become
free agents moving over to the NBA have one final already.
John Wall with twenty five points ten assists, says the
Wizards beat the Magic one seventeen one oh nine, while

(01:51:25):
San Francisco has just booted another field goal forty nine
ers with a thirteen ten lead over the Giants two
seconds to go in the second quarter, so they're just
about to head to half time. The Bills released quarterback
Nathan Peterman, and finally, Guys Raiders owner Mark Davis wants
fans to stop blaming John Gruden for defensive star Khalil
Mack being traded to the Bears. He says he is

(01:51:45):
the one who is ultimately responsible. Had to sit down
interview with ESPN's Paul Gutierres and Davis admits nobody wanted
to let him go, but basically they tried to offer
Mac an extension in twenty seventeen. He and his agent
said no, even that would have made him the highest
paid player in the league at that point, they said no.
They wanted not to do it that early. Then, of

(01:52:06):
course came the firing of Del Rio, the hiring of
John Gruden. Gruden had one single conversation in January with
Mac and that's the last time they talked. The Raiders,
you know, tried to work things out in February and
extended extend him, but they ultimately when when the two
sides didn't meet on anything, the Raiders had to spend
money in other places, and they did leave themselves enough

(01:52:28):
money to pay him that thirteen point eight million he
was due on the fifth year of his rookie deal.
But they kept hearing from people he was going to
pull essentially what Levi on Bell has pulled, so they
decided to go ahead and move on. So Mark Davis says,
it is my fault. I made the decision. Stop blaming
John Gruden. Stop we're not believe in that story. But anyway,
the one I really can't believe and is the All

(01:52:51):
Star Rookie a year yeah voting. Don't you think for
Otani that it was all about him being, you know,
the first since Babe Ruth to be the pitcher and
the DH Yeah, and be successful in both. So that's
what I think. Yeah, I mean, look, he was four
and two as a pitcher and with a three point

(01:53:12):
three e r A. Yeah, yeah, and I love that
he wanted to try to play through the injury and
you know, not pitch and just just hit. But and
then ultimately just had to have them the Tommy John surgery.
But I like the grit. But at the same time,
I agree, But I thought the two rookies from the Yankees,
they really played well. I'm stunned. And and what was

(01:53:33):
the gliber finish. The voting wasn't even closed. Twenty five
or thirty first place? Wow? And also don't you think
that the two players on one team, it never helps
those two players, you know, there there's always going to
be a split of the vote because you're comparing the
two players on that one team before you're even putting
them up. Again, but the Yankees had so many injuries.

(01:53:54):
These guys played and performed. They won a hundred games.
You do you see what I'm saying, Like, Yeah, again,
here's a guy who played on a team that didn't
make the playoffs, didn't play in many big games, and
again he's being rewarded. And I just wonder about that sometime,
don't Well. I mean, I think the argument against old

(01:54:15):
Tiny is just the number of games played, right, But look,
he was he was great. You know, he had two
eighty five, he had twenty two homers. Oh, I get
all pitched, you know, as deaf. It was different. Yeah,
I'm not that upset about it um. You know, Torres
and Andrew Harford New York were great. But it doesn't

(01:54:35):
bother me. But I get where you're coming from. I
just thought it was a little weird. I was shocked
that it's so one sided. But all right, dev we

Chris Brusard and Rob Parker on this Metal Monday, last

(01:56:05):
segment of the show. And Rob Parker, You're not gonna
like this. What you playing the role of prisoner of
the moment is that I'm at I'm a prisoner of
the moment. You've been yelling for all show about Tom
Brady for three games, so I think we know who's
the prisoner of the moment. What I know is that

(01:56:26):
the La Lakers are looking pretty darn good. They've won
three straight games, and when I look at the Western Conference,
obviously Golden State is the best team. After that, no
one scares me. So if I'm the Lakers, if I'm
Magic Johnson, if I'm Lebron James, I'm thinking, why can't

(01:56:50):
we be the second best team in the West when
it's all said and done. And I know you don't
play for second best and all that, but I'm just saying,
if Ron James takes them from a thirty five win
team to the Western Conference finals, and there's no reason
he shouldn't. Portland, yeah, pretty good, got a nice backcourt,

(01:57:12):
but they got their warts. Denver nicolea yokis superstar talent
but doesn't want to take over games. They got their
wards san Antonio, like LaMarcus all Ja, like de Mard
de Rosen, but they got their wards. The Memphis Grizzlies,
the LA Clippers, the Thunder, the Jazz, the Pelicans, Houston,
Everybody's got their warts outside of the Bay Area. So

(01:57:35):
the Los Angeles Lakers, the second best spot in the
Western Conference is there for the taking. I predicted fifty
three wins in the regular season. I feel pretty decent
about it. Lebron. What why don't you put your money
where your mouth is feel good about it? I don't.

(01:57:55):
I'm like you, I don't have to bet about everything.
You gotta betting the fiction. And how many best do
we have right now? If we if we don't have
more than three, if we don't have three. If we
have two, I'll bet you I think we have two
out there, don't we. You got wet right about that?

(01:58:16):
We probably already. Here's your thing. They haven't beaten anybody.
They struggled beat you see what against they beat Minnesota.
I'm talking about against the Hawks. They struggled. They gave
up thirty two points in the third and the fourth
quarter at home against the against the UH Siberia Kings.

(01:58:38):
Who Siberia Kings. I mean, sacrament was actually pretty decent
this year. They do have trouble clothes, like they get
big leads and then they let the team back in it.
But that'll come, Chris, and then it's just a weak
part in the NBA schedule. They were gonna win games.
No one said they're not gonna win games. I even
picked them to win forty six games, So I didn't
think they weren't gonna win any games or finished under

(01:59:00):
five hundred or not make the playoffs. But this idea
that there's something special going on here, No, it's not.
When they played the better teams, it's not good enough.
And Lebron, my goodness, and better Teams's Lebron playing any defense?
These days. Did you feel good about it? Did you
see him kick at the ball the other day? He
didn't even want to move defensively, he kicked at it.

(01:59:21):
I thought it was like a soccer player, what's the
name Ronaldo or so? I didn't know what was going on,
what game I was watching. I get Look, that's the thing.
He's not playing d He's obviously not shooting free throws
well in the clutch and then still winning. Can we
talk about that? Ye? Are you happy about the free
throw shooting when it matters most? No? But I think
it's the game and ain't know it. It'll clink, it

(01:59:42):
will come. I think he'll get better at it. No, No,
it's now. Was the time when Lebron James struggled under
the pressure of the finals. We saw that against Dallas
and he overcame it. You want to get recurs He's
not gonna as you get older. Think his free throw
shooting doesn't have to get worse yet his game overall
as he ages, but the foul shot should be f
It's gonna only get worse for you think he's gonna

(02:00:03):
continue this year. Yes, if he gets to the line
in the clutch missing both free things it's the bright
lights of Hollywood. He ain't used to it here, no
bright lights in Cleveland. This kid has been everything since
he's been fourteen years old. I'm talking about playing in
front of in LA. You really think that he struggled

(02:00:23):
a ship's He's never been this bad, Chris? Would you
admit that? Yeah? But I don't think it's the pressure
of LA. Are you sure? I mean, I can't imagine
it's the pressure of LA. I'm just saying I've never
seen Lebron this bad where he's afraid to make free
throws at the end, Well, he looks. I'm not I
can't defend his defense or his free throw shooting. And

(02:00:45):
I'm saying he's not gonna be the MVP. I mean,
unless there's some incredible they ain't know in transformation defense?
Is he gonna? I mean, what MVP playing the matter
door defense that he's playing the horrendous uh free throw
shooting and his numbers going down in the second half
and usually in the fourth quarters. Ain't no MVP kid,

(02:01:07):
He's not gonna be the MVP. But they still can
win fifty plus games, no no, nofty three games and
the Western Conference Finals. Are you gonna hold on. You're
gonna tell me they can't. You're gonna tell me they
cannot get to the Western Conference. I'm telling you they
will not get to the Western Conference. Does anybody anybody

(02:01:28):
but the like Okay, so they couldn't beat Portland, Incremental
can get there. Anybody but the soft See, that's where
you undermine you are no ridiculous. I mean, you're gonna
tell me they can't all right, they can't be Golden State. Honestly, No,
they can't. No, I know they can't. I'm saying I
can't be Houston, really can't be Portland. Why not? I'm

(02:01:51):
just telling you, why not? Like the Portland that won
like forty nine games in the road. The Lakers who
are eventually gonna win a game. My god, I mean
you act like, oh, they be Portland, that Portland had
old Hum, it's a Portland the world beating No, but
they're better than the Lake. Who would be the best
player on the court in that series, probably Lebron James.
Doesn't mean you're gonna win Lebron. Le Bron James might

(02:02:13):
have been the best player the last two NBA finals
and he can only squeak out one win that the
finals when Lebron James have been uncompetitive, but portlandt half
for All Stars one and C. J. McCollum is really good,
but we got one. We saw Oladipot almost beat Lebron
James last. You know, the saying about all no, I

(02:02:34):
don't know and only counting the hand grenades and pregnancies.
She's almost pregnant that the old cow. I don't know
what kind of genetics and biology you've been so when
you win, you'ren ivy League educated. Man, What you're talking about?
What is it? Horseshoes, horseshoes and hand gnad, horseshoes and
hand and pregnancy. No, no, okay, but Rob, I'm telling you, look,

(02:03:00):
I'm not saying the Lakers are gonna win a championship.
I'm not saying they're gonna challenge Golden State. All I'm
saying is they could end up being the second best
team in the West because the West is open. It's open.
I think you're just the prisoner of the moment. You
think it's open, but it's not. Dare you bring up
that phrase? That's what you after all you've been saying

(02:03:22):
about Tom Brady off three games you're gonna call me
a prisoner in the moment. Lebron James has done this
for six fifteen years. I go years, fifteen years for Lebron,
eighteen years for Brady, and you're going games and days
and whatnot. All right, it's the Eye Couple Chris Russ
