playing is all set. Yeah, I'm not a big playing guy.
You should have to earn your way into the playoffs
and the top eight teams. Like the idea that you're
letting two other teams compete to get in never sat
right with me. I understand you. So twenty you play

a whole season, so that twenty of the thirty teams
make the playoffs, Like, like, why not just put everybody in?
If that's the case For me, I ended up it
ended up being fun. They've been really fun and you
get some some good competitive games often. But I don't
need the other I don't need it to be four,
meaning if it's two in each each conference, I'm alright
with that. But the fact that a ten seed has

a shot to all of a sudden.

Making you've been bad all season, you get hot one night,
hit twenty five threes, and all of a sudden, you're
in the postseason. You know, I don't like that. I
don't know, nott a fan. I know you gotta win
twice if you're the timbo see, but you give it.
I mean, you can sneak your way in there. I
don't like that you got the list of the Yeah,
you got the Hawks and Orlando, which is kind of
the Yeah, okay, somebody got in there, and you got

the Warriors and the Grizzlies going at it.

Of those playing, where are you on that? Who would
you like to not see advance? You have a team
you don't want to see.

Yeah, I've thought about this.

Because I'm gonna go keep it to one side of
it to me is really just not really that interesting
in general, meaning I'm indifferent. So the Atlanta Hawks Orlando Magic,
it's like, all right, one of y'all gotta get in. Cool.
Both of both teams have at least a star player,
so you know, at least you're gonna get some fun there.
If Trey Young gets in, you know he's gonna be
ready for the postseason to at least be an entertaining player.

And then Polo Beccherio ben Caro will be fun. I
think it'd be cool to see him do something. But so,
all right, you have that end of it. But I
gotta go to the Western Conference side, and I want
to talk about I don't want the Grizzlies this year.
And there's a couple of reasons why Rob number one?
Why you hating on my man? I'm gonna tell you why.

Number one. I just don't know how serious job is.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Right now, He's been playing some serious basketball average in
thirty over his last eight to ten games. He's been
playing very well singularly. The problem is the team hasn't
been winning much. They've been struggling down the stretch, so
much so, as we know about nine games ago that
got the coach fired out the bluebody. No playoff teams
typically fire their coach right before the season is but
now we've seen the Nuggets do that, and now we've

also seen the Grizzlies do that. So that's some strange
stuff to me. And there their vibe seems to be
a little bit off. We had so much expectations for
them maybe two seasons ago. Remember when they were playing well.
Number two had a chance to be number one. They're balling,
Joe goes out a little bit. They still won it
almost like thirty games without him. I mean, they were

playing very well. Team was really good exactly, and you
kind of thought, all right, this could be one of
those teams the next step and then Jog, it's and
your job with the suspensions and all this stuff. And
then they haven't quite been in that sense. And I
do think they'll be back at it a year, but
maybe they need this year to kind of reset. And
the last point of why I want the Warriors in

this case is because this could be the last roun,
the last hoorah I get of Steph versus Lebron. You know,
Jimmy Butler, Steph Draymond, the upper Statesman, the older the
elder Statesman, the guys who I know have been proven
in playoffs versus Lebron. In this case Luca now that
he's a Laker, I would love to see that one

more time because I doubt that's I think this is
the last time we would get it. So Memphis get
it right. Job focus up, tighten up, team tighten up,
bounce back next year. You guys got plenty of time.
But let me get one more Steph and one more Lebron.
Because it's a Washington house divided. Half my household is
Team Steph. Half of us a Team Lebron in the house.

And it's always fun because it gets a little tense.
So let me get one more of those robes. So
that's who I do. The Grizzlies. I can take them
next year because I'm going to focus the Eastern Conference.
Anybody's you're not even gonna pick a team over there. No,
I don't want to see the Warriors, I really don't.
I knew this was coming, and because if you really
look at where they were, what they had in front
of them, right.

And this season, this season, they were awful awful this season.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Had there a forty point loss at home this year
in San Francisco where their guys were playing.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
It wasn't like they were depleted. Steph played in that game.
They were looking they were bad.

Okay, they go get Jimmy Butler, they go on this
run and then when you pull a curt the curtains back,
you realize the run was fueled by a lot of
bad teams that they beat, right, So it's kind of
a mirage. The Warriors aren't really and we just saw
that in a home game against the Clippers where you
need this so that you're not a play in and

they could not. I'm not the Clippers aren't bad.

Actually okay, but the loss to the Spurs, Yeah, that
was that was the other game without weim being without
the point cartoons out Fox the Fox.

on this in saying do I really want to see uh,
the Warriors again. We've seen this act. I'm good the

lebron Is, I've seen this. I don't want to see
uh Draymond missing layups. I don't want to see Steve
Kerr sitting on the bench like he has a stomach ache.

I mean, that's what That's what Steve Kerr looks like.

Watching this team like this is even a little better.
He got some pepto bismos, you know what I'm saying.
They want championships, and he look at going, oh god, yeah,

I do not want to see the Warriors, and thank
god they haven't whenever they've been in the playing they're

you could argue you feel like, okay, it's got to
break for them at some point. But for me, I
just it would be fun to see one more Steph Flurry,
whether that be in obviously to play in or into
the postseason.

He's entertaining, man.

Listen, he's been one of the most entertaining players ever
and to see that whether you like him, love him,
or hate him, that's part of what makes playoffs and
these types of times good.

You might have hated the late great Kobe Bryant if
you were hated the Lakers, but you knew what you
were gonna get competitive. He's gonna go all out and
you might get a spectacle of a forty fifty point
game from him. You want that, you know what I mean?
And that's what even if you're not rooting for the Warriors,
to me, you at least want to have that where
I hope we beat the Warriors if your team is
facing them. But dang gett, I want Steph to hit

ten threes and making fun and entertaining and scratching your head,
pulling hair lot litle bit. But it is a wild
and fun game, and not to me, we can still
get so for me, I I'd rather have that one
more go where Memphis get it right, fix it tightened up,
getting if this is your interim coach, get your real
head coach over the summer bounce back next year, I'll
see all the in and we'll see what John Moran,
what new celebration He's got then all right?

typically fire their coach right before the season is but
now we've seen the Nuggets do that, and now we've

also seen the Grizzlies do that. So that's some strange
stuff to me. And there their vibe seems to be
a little bit off. We had so much expectations for
them maybe two seasons ago. Remember when they were playing well.
Number two had a chance to be number one. They're balling,
Joe goes out a little bit. They still won it
almost like thirty games without him. I mean, they were

playing very well. Team was really good exactly, and you
kind of thought, all right, this could be one of
those teams the next step and then Jog, it's and
your job with the suspensions and all this stuff. And
then they haven't quite been in that sense. And I
do think they'll be back at it a year, but
maybe they need this year to kind of reset. And
the last point of why I want the Warriors in

this case is because this could be the last roun,
the last hoorah I get of Steph versus Lebron. You know,
Jimmy Butler, Steph Draymond, the upper Statesman, the older the
elder Statesman, the guys who I know have been proven
in playoffs versus Lebron. In this case Luca now that
he's a Laker, I would love to see that one

more time because I doubt that's I think this is
the last time we would get it. So Memphis get
it right. Job focus up, tighten up, team tighten up,
bounce back next year. You guys got plenty of time.

I hope we beat the Warriors if your team is
