What time did you.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Guys have got hours after? At ten o'clock? They got
eleven eleven. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
And when I got in my car and I was
driving to go back south on four or five outside,
you could see the it was way closer. You could
send the day prior, like right now. I just looked
the same spot. You can't see anything right Friday our
entrance right. I was like, you know what, I was like,
Oh my god, it's so scared.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
So that night there's a place where I live, I
kind of have to go up like we're a little
up in the hills, and man, I looked over and
got an amazing shot put it on the gram. A
lot of people are like, WHOA, because I said that,
even though I'm fifteen eighteen miles away, you can see
the scale of how massive it is that I'm this
far away, and you can see how huge it is.
So but other than that, man, weekend was good for
me and the family just because where we are. Okay,

(04:07):
but a lot of you know, mental stress, emotional stresses.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
So many people are going through it right now.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
But we're here to we, you know, give a little
relief for a few for those in la and uh
I'm ready to do.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
It, no doubt. All right. Uh So, let's let's introduce
the odd couple.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Cool. You wouldn't be able to do this find radio
program with down them. Rob G is our producer. Yes,
Sir Steve the Segers at the anchor desk.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
He'll keep us.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Updated throughout the program. I had to hit him with
the hay Steve, that's right by the way, Rob G.
I'm getting closer and closer to getting your o zimpic.
I'm getting crosser and closer.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Are you have a drug dealer?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Now?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Mind your business? You know what I mean? Don't worry
about what I got. What I got, well, mam, I
bet you good talking about it on national radio. Yes exactly,
And of course.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Let me know if you want something to get us
right by the in abj Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Elijah is our social media guru. He never heard of him.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Puts everything up on the gram and yes he was
back from Europe.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Why you bug? And huh.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yes, she don't post often, but when she she posts,
and you do a good one.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
We'll talk about you get me though.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
She don't drop a lot. But when she dropped, Mary
gonna drop on you. Oh yeah, for sure, no doubt.
All right, we'll welcome back to the States.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Mary.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
We missed you, no doubt. All right, you think about us?
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Uh So Troy Aikman, of course, who helped the Cowboys
become a dynasty.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
They won three out of four Super Bowls.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I was back in the good old days when the
Cowboy has been a long time, and he's been on
national television doing the number one.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Color job for a long time as well.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
But the one thing he hasn't done is turned into
a homer, like a lot of these former athletes do
when they could because they want to sit in the
owner suite and they want to get the.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Gift bag at Christmas time.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
And all that, so they just tread lightly whenever it
comes to their team. Like some of these guys, as
they kill me, they ask him who you picking to win?
They picked their team every time. It's like, why are
you The team is three and thirteen, they're still pick
the seven Patriots? All right, and you go like, dude,
it's okay to say your team's not good this year.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I don't mind the ones are doing a smirk, but
the ones who try to act like they're dead. So no, no, no, listen,
if we come in tonight, all right, we get four
turnovers in the first.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Half, we can win this.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I don't mind the ones who have a little tongue
in cheek, got funne, but when they're trying to act
legitimize their picks.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
All right, I settled down. But anyway, uh, I call.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Him t Z instead of jay Z. Troy Aikman is TZ.
He's they're the same person. Have you ever seen Troy
Aikman and jay Z in the same room together? Rob
g huh huh? All right, so Troy Aikman, this is
what during the pregame show he basically ripped the Cowboys job.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
It suggests that there's not a real plan. I mean,
in the fact that they haven't had the opportunity to
maybe interview with Ben Johnson and some of these others.
Aaron Glenn, I think that what what Schefter said as
far as uh Moore being a candidate, that seems logical
to me. A guy who has familiarity with the building.
He's worked obviously with the Cowboys and with Jerry Jones,
and they know each other very well. In fact, when

(07:11):
Mike McCarthy got the job, it was told to Mike
that Kellen Moore would be the offensive coordinator. So that's
how much the Jones family thinks of him. Beyond that,
it's hard to imagine as far as a coveted job,
I don't know that that's accurate. I mean, I do
think that. I do think the Cowboys are obviously a
high profile team. Whoever is covering or whoever is head
coaching of that team is certainly going to draw a

(07:33):
lot of attention. But I think most football people that
take over as a head coach, they want to do
it on their terms, and that's hard to do.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
See.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
I disagree with Troy Aikman on a couple fronts a
it is a coveted jobs.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
There's still America's team. They still moved the needle.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
They haven't won anything in thirty years, and we still
talk about the Cowboys. Okay, so to say it's not coveted. Now,
you might not like the working conditions because of the
Jones family, but they do own it. It ain't like
they've never gotten any They got Bill Parcells to go there.
They've gotten people to go there. But normally they hire

(08:11):
below standards so that they can run the team the
way that they want. But if they go to the
right person and say we're going to allow you to
do X, Y and z, it is an attractive job.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
We look at this year. It was bad.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
It was, but before this they've won twelve games three
years in a row. Right, they have won sixteen straight
games at home at one point. They have pieces parts.
They're not a mile away. They're not the Jacksonville Jaguars.
They're not in that situation where Tennessee Titans, where you
have no shot. Jerry is an issue, there's no doubt

(08:49):
about it. But are they like they can't turn it
around or they can't be better or you can't succeed there.
Mike McCarthy was an have to thought. Mike McCarthy came there.
He won a Super Bowl with Green Bay. The Packers,
they didn't they won one with Super Bowl, but they
had a lot of winning seasons.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
They won a lot.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
He had Aaron Rodgers. Mike McCarthy has a better Uh.
Everybody loves Sean Payton, right, Sean Payton. Mike McCarty and
Sean Payne are the same guy except for uh, Sean
Payton is a little more spelt and probably has a
better car. Like that's about the difference between the two, seriously,
but they both had Hall of Fame quarterbacks. They both
won a Super Bowl. Mike McCarthy's playoff record is very similar.

(09:32):
They're like identical.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
I'm serious.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Remember Tomlin too, Yeah, Doc Tomlin, Sean Payton and Mike
McCarthy es.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
So I do get Troy the frustration of Jerry Jones
and the medaling and not doing them. But they're not
that far away that some coach, uh, you know, wouldn't
be interested and we'll talk about the bottom of the ow.
I have a coach right now, or if this job
is open, you know now that it's open, you should
immediately be interested in it.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah, yours gonna take some things to make that happen.
This is I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna give you
a different reason why the job is coveted. The job
is covet. It because I'm going to get fired after
a couple of years and I'm gonna get some checks
from them at home.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Similar to being a coach with the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
I'm gonna get a couple of seasons, then they're gonna
fire me, and I'm gonna get some checks while I
get to be home. And if you're a cowboy coach,
a cowboy quarterback, guess what you get a bunch of
TV jobs. Boy Shawn Garrett, Troy Aikman, uh Tony Romo,
I mean you just Nate, Jimmy Johnson. You if you
are affiliating with the Jason Garrett, jam Shawn, I mean

(10:41):
Jason Garrett, you go down the list. If you're affiliated
with the Cowboys and you get a job there, whether
you're at the head coach, whether you're a quarterback, your
life is set. That's why it's coveted, more so to
me than the actual position of it. Because you're gonna
have a You're gonna have a medaling owner who actually the.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
GM, who's not a great GM. That's gonna be tiring.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
The frustration is gonna be tiring, that the expectations are
maybe greater than they really should be season and season out.
So that portion of it will be frustrating. But it
is a massive, massive thing on your resume to have
coach the Dallas Cowboys, and you will get job at
the job or whether it be TV or another coaching job,
if you have that on your resume.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
So for those reasons, to me, it's coveted.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
And also if you and the guy who can finally
get it turned around, are you kidding?

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Seriously?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
I might have to go dark and go Rob Parker
on you until Jerry Jones you said he a pork
chop away. Then I don't think that's happening. Because as
we get into the next conversation, I'll tell you more
why I don't think it's gonna happen under his GM guys,
him the owner.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I think there's a shot him the owner.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Listen, eyes are on a franchise, always keeping it relevant.
I'm the leader of all the owners in the NFL.
They all come to me. I'm the guy.

Speaker 8 (12:01):
Him.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
The why can't you just give up the reins of
GM is the issue, and it's the issue why Tony
Y Troy Aigman said, it's not coveted because you've got
to deal with that. You gotta have American I get that.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
But even Mike McCarthy twelve wins, twelve wins, twelve wins,
what they do rob g win the division twice. Nobody
in the NFC had won like back to back division
titles in years like they did win there.

Speaker 8 (12:24):
No, it's they supite the Jerry meddling. They still won it,
what sixteen games in you'll agree with this, though. It's
the issue is the expectations. You're in year, our people
and you know you live in LA. It's like the
Lakers have to win the title every year now because
the expectation. Now, you can argue the Lakers have won
clearly way more in the last thirty years than the

(12:46):
cowboy would just say this though.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Here's my thing, and I hear you expectation, but maybe Dak,
you have talent, you have a quarterback all this, maybe
Dak just isn't that good to get you over the home.
But the team is in place except one point. The
defense was good Michael Park five weeks of this year
in season. For the most part, I'm sit they're a
horrible team. That's not the issue.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
The issue is can I go somewhere and grow and
flex and grow my wings and take ownership and really
control a situation as a head coach?

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Right? You don't question Mike Tomland.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
We can want to fire him, you can, but you
see the authority he has, He has free rein.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
It's his team.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
You see what Dan Campbell, you see what Kansas City
has with Andyury. My point is, like, I think that's
what Troy been saying. You come here, you don't have
free rein. It doesn't feel like you're really controlling the team.
And I think that's singularly why he's saying.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
It's not a covetous. But I can't go there and
take ownership.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Yeah, but I disagree that there's so many bad jobs
in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
So I can't argue with that.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Okay, so you did so you'd rather go to Jacksonville
or rather go to Why you gotta go to z
Did you rob me?

Speaker 3 (13:53):
It's an extreme? Can you meet me? In the middle.
Can you give me something rather go there? Because can
you give me a Seahawks? You think you can give
me something like that?

Speaker 4 (14:02):
You think the owners the owners don't meddle in those
places either. I just think it's a fallacy. Look at
look at Philadelphia. That is that covenant. Uh Peterson won
a championship. They ran them out of town? Are but
sorry he went to a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Exactly.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
That's all I'm saying is like, there's a lot of
situations that aren't the greatest because owners own the team
and they're always going to have their hand in it.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Nine six sixty three sixty nine is the cowboy job
still coveted?

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Yes or no? And the reason why we want to
hear from you.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
It is a magic City Monday, Rob Parker kelvin Washington

off and you also get free ship and Rob and
I talking about the Cowboys, Troy Aikman, Legendary Cowboys says
the job may not be as covenant as you think
being the head coach, and we say, Rob says it is.
I say it is for the external things you get
from being there, You get great jobs. Eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox. What do you say? We want

(15:52):
to hear from you?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Tony and Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
You're on the Romo Tony Romo and call in you
have Fox Sports Radio going, gentlemen, what's up?

Speaker 3 (15:59):
What man?

Speaker 6 (16:01):
The issue? Is this the Cowboys job? For all the
external reasons? Yeah, if you're a coach and for whatever
reason you're thinking, I'm gonna parlay this on my resume
into something better by all means. But you're going you're
a coach going into it saying I know I'm not
gonna succeed here, but I can get something better after

(16:22):
I leave. But no coach is thinking that.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
No, but you met Tony. Tony, here's my mony thing.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
And it's not like they've never they don't make the
playoffs so they don't have a shot at it. There
are things there. We talked to you just we met.
You mentioned Tony Romo. They were gonna beat Seattle in
a playoff game, and Tony Romo mishandled the snap. Do
you know, I mean like there have been situations We've
seen Dak Prescott not play well in the playoff game

(16:48):
after playing well all year.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
So it's not like.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
They can't win or they don't have any talent or
the ownership is cheap.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
But this is the problem, This is the problem with that.
When they get to the playoffs, everything we know because
it's happening with the Stealers, with with Mike Tomlins, everything
tightens up. So now what you're dealing with is the
best of the best, and when that comes in to play,
all the little idiosyncracies and problems that you have that
don't really show up in the regular season, They're gonna

(17:18):
show up in the playoffs. And so what happens is
Jerry Jones, what he does is he usurps everybody that
has authority and he lets everybody knows.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
How does that happen in the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (17:29):
When Dak Prest got those three interceptions, I don't know.
I don't know what does that have to do with
What does that have to do with Jerry? Thanks for
the call. We appreciated, Tony.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Appreciate talk about idiosyncracies on a Monday. My brain ain't
ready for that, Tony.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
But I'm just saying, like you could blame Jerry for
a lot of stuff. Come on a bad performance in
the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Over the offseason, like sign him yes, spinning the block
on Ezekiel Elliott. When you see Derek Henry, Derek Henry
looks ridiculous. Derek Henry, who wanted to go to that
doctor text?

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Did y'all see him? What? Hey?

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Man?

Speaker 3 (18:04):
You know I'm a Lions fan. Please Lord, don't let
them play the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Randy might be the one time year ago Rosie who
you got Ravens Lions.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
That's the one time you're gonna see me.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
I'm a sweat Randy and New Orleans join the yard
couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 9 (18:20):
What's up, Randy, gentlemen, Happy birthday, Uncle Rob. I know
I'm a day laden a dollar show. But you know,
it's been kind of crazy down here.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
I know it is has been, but there here California,
I appreciate that. It was one year ago today on
the thirteenth, we had the big party in Las Vegas.

Speaker 9 (18:37):
Yeah, man, keeping Californian lifted up in.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Prem We appreciate that. Man.

Speaker 9 (18:46):
You know, the Cowboys job, you know, it's always gonna
be a coveted job. It's just like the Lakers and Knicks, Yes,
the Yankee No matter how bad the roster is, no
matter how bad ownership is, that job is always gonna
be at the top of the list. Whenever it becomes available,
whenever it's open, is always gonna be at the top
of the list. But let me just say this. I

(19:07):
heard y'all talking about this earlier, about Sean Payton and
Mike McCarthy and how similar their careers are. It's just
so crazy to me that both of them wanted the
package job, but Mike got it. They both wanted the
Cowboys job, but Mike got it. I just wanted to
throw that pun out to you.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
That yeah, right, but simular, you know, and I think
I was go ahead.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
I was just gonna say, I think there's something to
their personality traits. Mike might be a little more sir, Yes, sir, okay,
it is. What if Sean wants to be more, a
little bit more dominant, a little more. You know, you
saw up his power a little bit more, throw his
white around a little bit more. And that may have
something to do with watch some teams like Noah, I'd
rather roll with Mike where I can kind of be
you know, he'll be saying that three straight losing seasons
with Drew Brees go look at seven and nine. We

(19:49):
tell you if I if I blindfolded y'all, I told
y'all Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy, and Sean Payton's stats, in fact,
you would be you wouldn't know who was.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Who, No doubt. Doug in New York, you're on the
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Doug? Hey? Yeah,
you guys doing Happy New Year Doug.

Speaker 10 (20:09):
So if you coach the Cowboys, you're not like the
main person that they want to talk to after the game.
Everyone is always looking to speak with Jerry. I want
you to name the other owner that's just like him
that we see every Sunday or every Prime Time.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
There is in one No, there isn't, no, there is,
there is. What are you talking about? In the NFL?

Speaker 11 (20:28):
Yeah, in the NFL, they always should there's one owner
that's always video videotapes towards the end of the game
or at some point. And they're a dysfunctional teams. Oh
the coach, No, he's he's a drunk. I'm a Arthur Blank.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
You know, Yeah, not quite the same. I know, I knew.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Everybody remembers him going down to the field for the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Hey, y'all know we finally did it.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Man.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Oh yeah, everybody gets some lumberds. Some horror will on me.
Go ahead, go ahead and get you some lumber stuff
from home. Deep on your boy?

Speaker 4 (21:03):
All right, I squeeze one more and Andre Massachusetts, you're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
What's up, Dray, how you doing?

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Thanks for taking the call. Listen. I cannot say that
the Cowboys are a coveted job based on the fact
that Dak Prescott is a great guy. But when it
comes down to it, he's just a guy who is
the offensive coordinator.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
That's going to Okay, hold on, Andre, help me with this. Okay,
So name me the coveted jobs in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Covered jobs the NFL. Listen, Trevor Lawrence for any whatever anybody.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Wants that ain't no coveted job. Go ahead say now, Dre.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Now, this is my point to you, is that you
can is a New York job to the New York
Jets a coveted job.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
I could go on over that.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Yeah, what what I'm saying is you want to go
to a place. First of all, we know that you're
not going to be able to operate, You're not going
to be able to have any uh, you know, for
philosophical input whatsoever. I'm just saying, who is the guy
that's going to get you there. Doug Peterson is first.
When he got to Jacksonville, he unlocked Trevor Lawnch. They
were going in the right direction, then then it backfired

(22:09):
and going to absolute row direction. You're looking at teams
that have players that you can build around and at
route Dak Prescott being the most important player on that team.

Speaker 9 (22:17):
Everybody knows it's not going to be.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Able to take you there, and you're not going to
be able to.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
Put in the way.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Man, is Philadelphia cover the job? Look at that they
running coaches.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Out last, But I mean I will still take it,
but not at your get Is that sure, Philadelphia? I'm
gonna roll with that job because I hope I can
hold it down and have some success. And you know
they're close enough to get to I might get to
a super Bowl, get fired. At least I got a
super Bowl on my resume.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Sure, I appreciate the call. All right, more conversations on
this with a particular person. Yeah, I think might fit
the mold down there in Dallas. We'll get to that
in a second, right now.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
So I'm gonna save your job right now. I'm gonna
talk about the Cowboys and going back to who would
be let me Chris Paul this and throw you down
at you.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
There's somebody you believe would be the perfect fit in
a perfect world for the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
And he has been linked to the job even though
he took another job, but he might want to go
back to the job.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Very simple, Bill Belichick, pick up the phone, say where
do you want me to deliver this ten million dollar
buyout check? And I've changed my mind.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
I thought this was gonna be great, but in reality,
I want to finish the job in the NFL. I'm
an NFL coach. There are a couple things I left
on the table. I never believed this job would be
open for me, and this is something that I would
like to be able to return disfranchise to greatness. And

(23:56):
then I could walk out and be done with the NFL.
And you know what, that's why there's a buyout clause.
Pay the money. It ain't like there's nobody no you
gotta do these three years. If we sign this deal,
there's always a way out. And you don't want somebody
there who doesn't want to be there. And so if
you're in North Carolina, he says his hardest still in
the NFL, you have to let him go, and I
get it. He's got his family and friends all set up.

(24:18):
This is why I said from Jump Street, didn't I
say that? I said, why in the world would you
jump at this job when they haven't even started firing
NFL guys, you don't even know what's going to be open.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
And my point to you was, because I got what
you were saying, makes all the sense in the world.
My thing was, I think pride comes in and sometimes
people forget just because it's some megastar, athlete, coach, movie star.
These people have egos and pride, and I think part
of his thing was, didn't nobody jump out of me?
He like, you know how it is when you walk
out like it's your boy. And I think he was

(24:52):
start instantly and it was some franchise like.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Nah, we're good.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
But I had NFL people tell me he was had
from opportunity. He was offered the Atlanta last year. Okay,
he was, and if you look at that, they scrambled
to fill that, you know what I mean. Like he
was offered the job, he sat on it for a
couple of days. Him and what's his name, Rich with
the Falcons, the president. I don't know why I'm I

(25:15):
can't think of Rich McKay.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Right.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
They were going back and forth over who's answering who
and all that power, and then that's when they decided,
Oh my god, they went and the next move was
going to be a Jim Harball and then they said, oh,
Jim Harball is on his way to to San Diego
later the Chargers or whatever, and then they freaked out
and then they went down their list and then they

(25:39):
want to Yes.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
But you see what I'm saying, Yeah, but that's my
point of I just think I think for him and
again that you just mentioned my point of power, who's
gonna have?

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Well, how much control? I think?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
And he's listen, I'm not mad that he wants power control.
He's earned that if that's what he wants, and that's
what he desires, and if he leaves, we work best
when I have.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
He's earned that.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
And now it's your decision, organization owner, if I want
you yield that.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
But you know what I mean, he comes in and.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
To a certain extent, because really, if you're going to
the Atlanta Falcons, can you show me the trophies that
doing what you've been doing has worked? Like seriously, like
I would go in and go show me the hardware.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
If I go into the.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Yankees job, they could say, hey, hey, you see on
the tophies we're doing here.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Okay, So that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
My issue with Jerry Jones is this, If Bill Belichick
was the guy, why did you play around with Mike McCarthy,
Why did you hang over?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
No, he's a guy. Well, I don't know. We're gonna
wait and see.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
No, we love where, we have all the confidence in
the world, and Mike McCarthy next minute.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
I mean, we're gonna wait till the end of what
are we doing? But that's why we don't Jerry, stop
wasting time.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
I'm on the phone Bill, Yo, Mike, Well, I know
you got Mike right now as your coach. Mike about
to get out of here. Do you want this job?
Bro's here is for the taking. Me and you we
can go out ride to the sunset with some championships.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
What you think? What about Mike? Mike is gone. Don't
even bring his name up.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
But I don't even get to put his mouth to say, Mike,
Michael Jordan, Mike Jackson, Mike McCarthy. Don't worry about him.
That's what I would have done if I was Jerry Jones.
But instead he waited around playing around with Mike McCarthy
like a cat plays around with his dead mouse or something.
And then you lose your chance to interview Aaron Glenn
to Ben Johnson, Bill Belichick because now he's in in

(27:29):
North Carolina, Like what was j I genuinely, Rob Parker,
do not know what Jerry Jones was doing, Like I
didn't see I don't see what since he takes about
zero Since.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
You have a coach that won twelve games three years
and you're not all there, let's go, and he has
he's a labor You're not saying, hey, look, we're gonna
you know me blunt like hey, depending on how he
does it, end of season, all right, one or the other.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
But you he couldn't got it. We're gonna wait right
and it just jammed you up. And this is another instance,
jammed him up with Lamb waiting all time. Now they
couldn't make some moves, jandam up waiting for Dak Prescott.
Then they had to give them all the money in
the world. Jandam up waiting on the running back and
you couldn't get Dereck Henry. Then now you runk with
Ezekiel Ellie, who didn't even finish the season with you,
Jerry brouh Give it's like a drunk person at a party. Rob,

(28:15):
Do you know they do take my keys because I'm
about to get drunk tonight and I can't do what
I need to be doing. Give the keys to somebody else, Jerry.
Now you the lost Ben Johnson, Aaron Glen, Bill Belcher.
I don't know what he'd be I don't know. Pardon
my grammar. I don't know what he'd be doing. Okay,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
What he be doing. Man, Rob Parker, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Sheckl City and also got to get you ready for
this Monday night football playoff game wild Card that the
Rams are.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Is this weekend Arizona. This is not the weekend's Monday. Yeah,
I don't know what's coming out. It's a new week
wild Card Monday, Monday, Wildcard Monday. All right, Well, there
you have it, it is Fox Sports Radio.

I thought it was up too.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
No, you guys have the same PI except for one game. Yeah,
it was the Broncos that let me down. I n
never gonna lose. I just think it was whatever ten
or eleven it was and ended up being seventy two points.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
All lung as I win.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
Okay though, all right, even though on the score one
touchdown the one tell you I like bo Nicks.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Okay, it wasn't him the next stop down? Josh Allen
does that to people.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Shekel City one and two on Friday ten and fourteen
is the record. I got the Minnesota Vikings minus two
and a half over the Rams neutral site. Of course,
that's my best bet. I got the Knicks minus seven
and a half. They are taking on the Pistons at
Madison Square guard.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
At Walmore Augustons. I'm gonna know something, favor Wait, you
got one more? I'm sorry. I'm taking the Knicks at
home seven and a half. That's a good one.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
And I'm taking the Warriors minus five and a half
up north against the Raptors in Toronto. So Golden State
minus five and a half, the Knicks minus seven and
a half, and Minnesota minus two and a half and Kelvin. Remember,
I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling
you who I bet on. Oh No, I saw Drake

(30:58):
wapping up Steph Curry hanging out there, so I don't know.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
It might be you might be good. Now it's slow
Drake curse, so you'll be fine. He's for a new
best friend streets watch. He was like, please, man, hey,
what's up?

Speaker 5 (31:08):
Man?

Speaker 3 (31:08):
I'm Steph. I'm just please take this picture up. Makes
everybody think it's okay, everybody's not. You know, all that money,
I'm good? Are you kidding? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (31:16):
But you know what though, it's hard for some people
take an L. Rob g Am I right, oh yeah,
Drake is struggling with taking the L right now.

Speaker 12 (31:24):
I know we're getting off track here, but has anyone
taken a worse L like you're taking bigger l's in life?
But the response to the L he just has been
the worst in American Now.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
He done called out trying to call out ron or
stuff like yeah.

Speaker 12 (31:39):
He's you hurt my feelings, so I'm gonna sue and
then I'm gonna get my record label involved. And then
now here he made a dish track about an NBA
player who doesn't rap.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
That's not nothing to do with nothing, and he won't
even use his real name like he's just alluding to stuff.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Yeah, it's it's bad right now. And this goes to
Kendrick's point of who's in your camp?

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Right?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Somebody got robbed? We all need somebody in life that
look at you and be like, nah, bro, just put
your phone down. Yeah, we just protected Rob Parker about
fifteen minutes ago. He put his name on who he
was talking about.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
He did, what did I do?

Speaker 12 (32:11):
But we came in and we squashed it. So it's okay,
we heard you're going to be aightfully employed if.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
You're gonna start beaves.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Just jy, you.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Got one job for the next six years. You're making
my job very difficulty. He do every day, Rob G.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Every day, Rob G get one extra gray hair when
he walked up out of here, Sorry we got out.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
The gray hair. It's like, it's not the two babies,
just Rob. I got to deal with it.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, And he's like, well, it's the baby. No, it's
my baby that is on the air every day with
that's the real work.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
You got the Vikings tonight. I got the Vikings tonight.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
I do think I would have, depending on the spread,
I would have chose the Rams had they been in
LA I just think I.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Wouldn't have picked the Rams. Even they've struggled offense half
without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I mean, Rob, you got numbers on it.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
The last been like fourteen something like that, last three
games that the starters played because we eve ten didn't
play fourteen.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Yeah, Yeah, they're just not. I'm just saying it ain't
the Dodgers we talk about.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
We talked about the Rams because that is just but No, defensively,
they got a couple of rookies who were great couple
going to Pro Bowl, and I think, you know, they
beat the Vikings obviously, And I do think the Vikings now,
especially losing the way they lost the Lions, I do
think they're they're the added motivation to get it right.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
But we'll see. Sean McVay.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
O'Connor was up under him, you know, you know him
a little bit, and that does happen sometimes where you
just kind of got somebody's number.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
But I just like the Vikings now.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
I think defensively they're gonna end up beating is going.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
To play better, Like like I just Sean mcvaby cooking.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Though he's been silent lately, you know, like as far
as hasn't had these thirteen and three four type seasons
and all that, but Sean McVay getting the playoffs and
is little like even how he ends seasons where you're
not thinking about the Rams until like week ten, all
of a sudden you go, are the Rams in this thing?
And then you look up You're like, how the heck
the Rams getting the playoffs and they played very well

(34:01):
against the Lions last year, you know, but they just kept.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Pushed the job.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
I saw something there stat that said Matthew Stafford was
two and ozer with the Rams, and I'm like, didn't.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
They lose last year? I mean the postseason?

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Yeah, they had Matthew Stafford's postseason record. He said a
left tes set ten and thirteen. But the game is
not at home, so I do understand it said his
record is ten and thirteen.

Speaker 12 (34:22):
And the record book is going to say it's at home,
meaning this is a home game. He's a home game
for them, no matter, like in the NFL record it's
going to say Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
I looked at it. I was just like, what are
they saying? Okay, because because they lost last year?

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Yeah, they love me that he's I mean he too.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
He came there and ended up working out, got him
a Super Bowl and then they got to the postseason again.
He's been quiet this season. Obviously. The offense, like, yeah,
offense isn't going. And you would think with Pooka Nakua,
with Cooper Cup and you would just think some of
the pieces they have you'd be like, all right, Kyan Williams.
You'd be like, we're good to go. But for some reason,
offense has been struggling.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
They won a game with four field that was a
terrible Thursday night football game.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
So I'm not even mad at them. I'm mad at
the team that lost, Like, how did we lose? We
lost four field goals, we couldn't get five. We couldn't
kick five field goal on one touchdowns one touchdown and
winness thing, So this will be a weird win again.
I do think Rob G and I we were talking
about this. I think we were all talking about it
on Friday, or maybe it was a via text, But
just how will America kind of be pulling for the

(35:24):
Rams in this case?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
One of those like we're all behind you, la right now.
We'll see keep you updated on the game. If somebody
you say needs to get fired. Fox Sports Radio
