Got like a nice five or six weeks where there's
no school, so just being at.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Home trying weird or exciting.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
No good, no, no, no good. It's just weird that
I'm not busy during the day. And I gotta admit
I already told Rob G so bad. I'm officially in
my fat phase of life.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
What do you do today?
Speaker 6 (03:16):
The chin chill is eating good?
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
You know what? She got off and got a milkshake
on the way to the shop.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
I'm looking on Fox Sports radio for ten years and
I've never gotten a milkshake on.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
The way to work. No, no, no, no, in the middle
of the day. I don't lie to you. In the
middle of the day.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
That is the fattest thing I've ever heard you, right,
That tops robb G. That tops all the wind. Yeah
that uh, rob Piet, How are you drinking milkshake in
the middle of the day. In the middle of the day.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yeah, that's the fact. Like I get.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
I get at the end of the night. I get
like you've had a long day's little treat for yourself.
Middle of the day milkshake is kind of crazy.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
It's better than shron More, That's what I'm gonna say. Which,
by the way, we haven't alleged statement from him today.
You guys want to hear it?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
No, no, I hit it so good today it was.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
Fun allegedly allegedly.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
Hey, Alex, you know me for years? What if I
ever told you how to milkshake on the way into
the never? That is why I don't you know why
I gotta admit, what's the restaurant that's half all for
the milkshakes at two o'clock two to five?
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Is that? Is that? Sonics? No, not rob g You
should know, dang rober. You call your former fat? What
did he call you? Robber? And you should know you
were formerly fat? Not whoa no robber? You should know
that looking Mexican looking at that unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
But no, no, because it's not, because it's not. It's
a real restaurant, not Jack in the box, a fast food,
not Jack no shake, Steaks and steak, steak and shake
Colledge Junior called Junior when I.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Tell you, because I know twenty five more spots before
I got shakes.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
Nobody even knew that rob Nobody and between two and
five they're fifty percent off. So that was my lure,
is that I wasn't paying full price, and then I
was driving him like, oh god, oh girls law.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
You came back with a vengeance. Bruh.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah, after the super Bowl, you'll get back on your diet.
You are back with a vengeance. A midday Milkshake's crazy?
All right, let's say this.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
For over forty years, tirat dot com has been helping
customers find the right tires for how, what and where
they drive. Ship Fast and free back by free Road
has a protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire
installation tyrack dot com. The way tire buying should be. Hey,
let's go, we got the Eye couple crew. Let's welcome
him in. Rob g of course, is our producer on Mexican.
(05:47):
Alex is our engineer.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Behind the curtain.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Martin Weiss is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us
updated throughout the show. Yeah, I ain't playing around. I
just as soon as you said, Martin, I look up,
are you chicken? What is that leg of wing in
his mouth?
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Racist? You playing today? We did say fried chicken and
colon greens. I'm sorry, well that was when you old
man River did.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
That's right, you know what, And of course Elijah is
our social media gurgule of all the stuff I said yesterday.
You know what I saw people comment was what I
said about calling in if you're from the north of
the Confederate, you if you're from the U you know
the Confederate.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
You're stupid.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, I dond they got they got right to the
last number. Like hold on, wait, I don't think I'm
calling from the Confederate on a rob g.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
We have movement at Michigan. That's what I'm gonna say.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Too much.
Speaker 7 (06:43):
That is a good word choice. Too much of it,
and I'm really upset just because we did a lot
of work. We have some good stuff on Jalen Herds
that some good stuff on Mike Rape. We're not getting
any of it today because there's breaking news in the
world of college football. The University of Michigan has firehead
football coach Cheron Wore with cars That's the key word here,
because they found quote credible evidence that he was engaged
(07:04):
in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Part of
their statement reads, quote this conduct constitutes a clear violation
of university policy and UN maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.
Charon Moore out looking for a new head coach there
in nann Arbor.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
It would be one thing.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
If we looked at this and looked at it as
an isolated incident.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
It's just not.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
It is unbelievable how many coaches you know have bit
to dust over this. It's a long list. I don't
even think you could post a list on the internet.
There's not enough space. Like that's how often this happens,
even in the own in the state of Michigan. Mel
(07:54):
Tucker or the Michigan state coach who wound up losing right.
He was fired in September twenty twenty three following sexual
harassment investigation and lost what was it seventy five eighty
million dollars that he still had left on his contract
with cars and all that. There's all kinds of other
people but had situations involving Miss Bobby Petrino, Pettino.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Irvin Meyer.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
I mean, we could go on and on and on
and on, and I'm gonna say this. This is not
to exonerate the people doing the bad stuff, because more
deserve If this is all true, this is on him
like like you already know when you sign the contract
at Michigan and they tell you, uh, people, and people
don't understand this.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
They go, that's nobody's business.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
They're mature adults and they have the right to do
whatever they want to do in their own personal lives. No, no, no,
not when you affect other people's lives. We talk about
all the time, Kelvin. You can't be the boss or
in charge of somebody and mess around with somebort because
you hold their life in your hands. You're giving them
promotions and raises that maybe other people have earned because
(09:07):
you're in the sack together like that. That's the reason
if we're on part and we're working on the line
at Ford or GM, we can have a romance.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
And fall in love.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
You don't control my destiny or my life livelihood, right.
People fall in love at work all the time on
this level, but not when somebody's here and they're the
boss and they're running things.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
We know this. It's one of the first videos you
gotta watch when you start a new jobs.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
All the time. It's over and over and over. But
this is my point, and I want to.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Hear from you.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
Yeah, I'm blaming the universities and these college towns because
they have made this job of being especially college football,
and these towns like God like.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
These guys get to do whatever they want. The police
fall in line.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
When kids used to get busted or whatever, they would
bring the kids to the coach.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
We saw at Penn State, right, Joe Paterno.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
What went on there despicable because guys are bigger than
and not held accountable.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
They're a football coach.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Oh, something bad happened, or go to take it to
coach whatever, No, call the police.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
That's what should have happened at Penn State.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
Joe Paterno's name and everything would still be up there
if he did the right thing.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
He didn't do that.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
In fact, he never called the police. And in this case,
and this is all alleged, we're not indicting anybody. I
mean saying that they're guilty and the guy lost his job.
Michigan has to feel pretty good with the evidence that
it has against more. But my point is this is
because we allow these coaches cart blanche, and.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
We allowed them to do what they want run the universe.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
They're bigger than the college presidents, they make more money
than anybody. They run the place, and with absolute power
comes problems and when people and that's why I think
this keeps happening.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Well, you know what, I don't think you finished it
off though. I think this is where we differ a
little bit. With absolute power comes absolute responsibility. And I
think that's where I would say, So I hear you
in the schools, and these guys become bigger than the
godlike figures.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
We talk about that all the time.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
That's why sometimes coaching in college can be more beneficial
than NFL because you get away, get away, you become
the guy, a deity in that city and that town,
in that state, Whereas NFL it's like you better win
or else You're not bigger than that.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
You might not even be bigger than your quarterback in
the NFL.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
But I still have to put a lot of this
at the feet of the persons involved in this case.
More if this what is alleged as true some of
the other coaches we name, Because you are in these
positions of power, of responsibility, and of leadership, and you
have to also and then practice what you preach with
these young men. Right, we talk about all the time.
One of the no distractions accountability and integrity. That's what
(12:01):
you're preaching to these young men.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
But that was Bill Belichick right until he got girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Just what I'm in life change. But this is what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
You have to preach this because, to be honest with you,
this thing that has happened, that happening since biblical times,
like bad decisions when it comes to you know, in
this case, obviously the man no.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
But back then you weren't signing a multi million dollar contract.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
That told you you don't know what King David sign
You don't know what I told you don't know, don't
mess around with don't mess around with the staff. You
don't know if Solomon was signing back then, you know.
But no, I said this to say. But that That's
where I'm going with this. The school is saying, you're
not just a coach. You were a leader of men.
You're a leader in this community. You were a pillar
in this community. We're giving you, paying you handsomely in
(12:47):
some cases, like a coach in Michigan act right.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
So I don't I can't put the onus on the school.
Act right.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I'm giving you one of the world class jobs. There's
only a handful of these types of jobs in the
entire world. You have one. You have you have power.
You're leading people, not only your team, you're leading the community.
We're putting billboards up, we're putting commercials up. We're entrusting
you around other young people, We're entrusting you with parents.
Children act right, and so to me, it falls on them.
(13:17):
Now do they get their minds gets convoluted and they
become the guy and they get cloudy in judgment because
I am the one. Maybe that's the case, But I
what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
Like there's a reason that it didn't happen to one person,
that never happened.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
I guess what I'm saying is take away the job.
This happens all the time in the history of mankind.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Is no. No, I agree with that. I disagree with you.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
I agree, But you're not talking about, as you just said,
the responsibility that goes with it.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
It's all laid out for you.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
It ain't like Joey at the you're working at the
supermarket and uh, you know what I mean, And you're
working an hourly wage and and there's a cute girl
in the checkout count whatever.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
This is all laid out.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
This has been happened to so many people before, and
it keeps happening.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
And I do believe that you feel like you're.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Invincible when you get those jobs because of what they
allow you to do and get away with. The player
did something whatever, they bring it to you. They don't
call the police, they don't report it.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Like this is.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
So you feel like you can get away with anything
because because our will star linebacker just got.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Away with something. You believe that.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Here's where I also will say, historically you use Joe Paterno.
I'll give you that. We know stuff that came about
that Joe came Oh, that's what we came out with.
The story came out about both Simbleckler and what they
the Michigan.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
What they turned their turns again.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
So the point is I agree with that more historically,
it's twenty twenty five, and this is the gotcha media.
This is the I got my own ability to expose
things and put out things and texting messages and all that,
And so to me, you gotta be gotta be it
shouldn't be doing in the first place.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
You gotta be aware.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
But let alone in twenty twenty five, it's even more
imparant that you do, right, because this is just the
accessibility to be to be exposed. This ain't the lionized
era where we're gonna lion as you and cover the eye.
You're coming in hungover. We're just gonna say you have
the stomach flu. This ain't that era no more. This
is I got deployed. This is the Pablo Tory era
where they putting everything out there and continuing to take
(15:23):
shots at you and find you. So I'm more shocked
this is happening now.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
All right?
Speaker 5 (15:28):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. How much of
the blame does the University of Michigan deserve for this
Sharon More scandal?
Speaker 1 (15:38):
That's him, man, that's him. I can't put that on this.
I can't put I think the university is also to
blame all these schools. But we'll continue that conversation next
from you. We want to hear from you. Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. It is the odd couple on.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
A worship Wednesday. Not really, but it is a worship
Wednesday right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (15:59):

us of A.
Speaker 8 (16:05):

Speaker 5 (17:40):
That's what why barbers told me. They were like people
come in and say, yeah, we see Rob. I thought
he owned this barber shop.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
You can. I be honest, I think you're more self
conscious of your hair than reality. You bring that up
a lot. Yeah, I do, cause I think it's like
rat You'll be.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
In here eating milkshakes in the middle of the day
and not care, but in your hair you always be
ah man, you fine, bro, All right, let's go. We
got to get you some seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
You heard what happened in Michigan. At least right now,
they're part of ways with Searan Moore. Uh alleged inappropriate relationships.
They say they believe they have evidence to prove it.
We don't know all the facts yet. Uh look at
(18:14):
the baby shower. You know, I'm just see I'm Rob
says it is Michigan's fault and other big university's faults. Uh,
I say it is on the foot of the person
in this case.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
More.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
What's say you? Eight seven seven ninety nine one, Let's
go to Michigan, Prian in Michigan. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports. Ready, what's up beat?
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Fellas?
Speaker 9 (18:34):
You know I had to get in on this one.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Oh yeah, I.
Speaker 9 (18:38):
Rob, You're right. It can't all be on the coach.
But when they got it right there in black and white,
hey man, don't don't get the cookies out of the
cookie jar. We're gonna get rid of you. And they
and he went ahead and did it.
Speaker 10 (18:49):
Did it?
Speaker 9 (18:49):
You gotta kind of put it on the coach. And
one other quick thing, fellas, I know you got connections.
Why don't you guys let coach prime? No, he'd look
good up here in Mazon blue.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Fellas, thank you, all right, there you go, I hear you.
But coach Brian gotta work. He has to just focus
on his health.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
And I mean that's so respective, no doubt, like he's
going through a lot right now physically.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
Chili Tim in Atlanta, you're on the Odge couple of
Fox Sports rading.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
What's up? Chili? What up?
Speaker 10 (19:13):
Old Man River number two? You older than me?
Speaker 3 (19:18):
I know enjoyed.
Speaker 10 (19:21):
I did. It made me laugh.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
You laugh.
Speaker 10 (19:25):
But Kelvin, you have a point. But I'm gonna tell
you why I Rob is correct. And here's why Rob
is correct because I'm gonna call out some names. Rick Potino,
Bobby Patrino, edol Geron and all those guys. Right, they
were fired Hugh Freeze, but they all got seventy third jobs.
And that's where the problem comes in because there's really
(19:45):
no determined because they can always find another job because
they can win. So that's what that's where the power
dynamic coming in for them because it doesn't matter, they'll
find another job. I mean, Barby Latrino and Rick Patino
has had hundreds of jobs. You Freeze old miss with
the Liberty a Christian school of all and then came
back to Albreds. So that's where the power that's where
(20:08):
you know, that the schools allowed them to get the
power down them because you'll get hired again no matter
what they do.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Spot On, Well, I do think spot on to hear that. Tim.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
The only thing I would say to that is, I
don't know a lot of times it's already hard enough
for brothers get jobs. Brothers can't don't get that same
liberty as everybody who just named. So it'll be interesting
to see how the response for him. Does he get
that job. I'm not saying that never happens, obviously, but
I'm saying he didn't establish himself enough to then get
that job.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Suan and Sacramento, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
What's up, Sean?
Speaker 11 (20:41):
Yeah, Old, I'll go from another mother couse. It killed
me and my brother's mind the board. No one man
should have so much power. I agree with you to
a certain extent, but I'm on board with Kelvi's take
on this man. We have plenty of examples, Nick Sabit,
the young Brother, Marcus Freeman, Notre Dame, of guys with
the same type of power in their position who didn't
(21:04):
take advantage. I lay the blame at the AD's feet.
These are guys who didn't vet the people properly who
are constantly, to your point about Rick Patino earlier, constantly
turning these same guys in and out despite their past issues.
I think we need to look tell you shine the
light on them, and you take a deeper look at
Michigan with with some of the stuff that went over.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
But let me say this, Sean, and go back to
what Chili Tim said. Seriously, if Rick Bettino got canned
because he had llegedly prostitutes in the dorm for the
basketball team and never got another gig, that would send
a message to these other coaches understand that that we're
not going to tolerate that, and you won't get another
job around young men.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Do you see the point?
Speaker 5 (21:44):
Okay, Mjays in New Orleans joined the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio Benye brother.
Speaker 8 (21:52):
To the Seafood Brothers.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
What Up, What up man? What up?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Man?
Speaker 8 (22:00):
First to Wind High would not this I would call
here in a Hall of Fame basketball coach. See the
players don't stain stole their performers. He was at the
club with a woman who became pregnant and later marriage
to a university's uh Lewis, their equipment manager if they
(22:20):
really wanted him, they would have made concessions. We all
know that they really didn't want him. He just felled
to the spot after Kotaki's left man something.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yeah, but but but that's fine.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
But that's fine, and you and I and you're right,
there are different rules and they've been for people and
I'm not gonna even disagree with that. But you also
don't need to partake in that when you know the
situation that you're in. Okay, So that's all I'm saying
is is I get that, because because that happens in life,
there's no doubt about it. There's plenty of bad people
(22:52):
have done stuff in our business and people don't look
the other way.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
And if I did it or you did it, we're done.
That's just that simple that.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
That was my point when Chile was talking, I was
saying that Sharon Moore doesn't have that, But.
Speaker 5 (23:08):
Rick Patino did get fired, Bobby Knight did get I
mean what.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
I'm saying is they have one enough, chuck, somebody will
turn the blind eye.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
But they did get fired, is what I'm saying. Like
like it wasn't like that, like they got I.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Definitely got in trouble, I'm saying, but someone else will
go your your trash, my treasure is what I'm saying.
All right, appreciate the calls. It is the odd couple
on a worship Wednesday. And every goal starts with an
assist on and off the field. That's why Haleyon and
US Soccer are launching for the Assist, a celebration of
everyday acts of support that helped people achieve their goals
(23:39):
with iconic brands like Centini, Toms, voltairean Advil, and Centrum.
And to learn more go to haley on assists dot com.
And we are joined right now by Dsha Thusser. She
is of course with Fox Sports MLB reporter and columnists
and uh joining us now to talk some more about some.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Big some big movement, little things happen in baseball.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
I know we got some other headlines going on, but
some baseball move in DH.
Speaker 12 (24:03):
Yeah, there's definitely a lot going on.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
You having me on, guys, you where do you want
to start with?
Speaker 3 (24:09):
The what we got to start with?
Speaker 5 (24:11):
The Mets and Pete Alonzo bolting Queens for Baltimore Queens.
Speaker 12 (24:17):
Yeah, surprising, right, It feels like people are a little
split on the actual outcome, in that it was expected
that he would kind of walk away all along versus
shot that it actually happened, but kind of writing was
on the walls and the last off season that the
Mets were luke warm about bringing him back when it
took them that long to get the deal together in
(24:38):
the first place, and then of course it included an
opt out, So it kind of happened the way that.
Speaker 11 (24:43):
It was always expected to.
Speaker 12 (24:44):
But I think just to see it unfold in real time,
it is definitely surprising.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
It's awful.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
And I'm gonna say this, this dude, serious Layton, who's
one of their guys from their minor leagues, right, d
so you know this, He's always avail plays.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
He never heard, he's produced in New York.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
Everybody can't play in New York, okay, And nobody's hit
big a home postseason home runs for the Mets than
Pete Alonzo. I just do not understand the disrespect that
he's gotten. I'm dead serious that they had seven hundred
and sixty million.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Dollars for one sotal and they don't have a four
hundred and fifty What does that say? Though? You are
you seriously Shirt like, that's crazy to me.
Speaker 12 (25:27):
Yeah, and listen, I agree with it too, and especially
I've covered Pete a. Lonzo's first season in the big leagues.
Actually him and I entered the big league in the
first year in twenty nineteen, and he's just been, I mean,
a joy to cover, and like you said, he shows
up after games, he produces. I think one thing that
gets lost a lot is that he plays one hundred
(25:47):
and sixty two games.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Yes, serious, this is.
Speaker 12 (25:50):
Someone that does not get injured, and he has been
treated a little bit like a leoper, not even just
by the Mets, but but through the industry. We saw
no one was really going off him last year either,
and now, of course the Orioles and teams like the
Red Sox had to make a huge response to get
back into the race, so he had a market this
year at the end of the day the Mets, and
(26:11):
of course this comes from David Stern's philosophy. He's just
not willing to go past three years. My problem with
that is, right, like you mentioned, they signed Juan Soto
to this huge fifteen year deal. There's no way he's
going to produce these kinds of stubs throughout that entire contract,
so you have to eat a little bit of the
(26:32):
years for the sake of like you mentioned, bringing back
a homegrown guy, no one who loves being a Met,
someone who was given back to the community in New York,
and that really didn't matter. I mean, that never matters
to someone like David Stearn's what surprised me with this
was that it didn't matter to Steve Cohen because he
came to the Mets on this huge philosophy of family first,
(26:55):
the human connection, personal touch. Of course, the Mets had
an extremely disappointing season right now, Yeah, yeah, so so
there was going there were definitely going to be changes.
But Pete Alonso, outside of the entire offense being unable
to produce a single comeback win after and the after
(27:15):
trailing in the eighth inning, that was an offensive problem
throughout the lineup. But so sure Pete Alonzo was another
victim in that. But outside of that, he was great
for them. He was not a problem. In twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Hey, dha, y'all, here's some breaking news we have. Mister
met has now signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
So it has gotten It's really good. Chef did he
get a.
Speaker 12 (27:41):
Ride when Edwin Diaz not on the payroll anymore.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
No, mister met is he's now a Dodger. You got
Edwin Diaz is now a Dodger. Uh stay with state
with us there for a minute. The rich get richer, obviously,
I told Rob, I think now this is the year
people start to just a casual fan maybe starts to
turn on the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
But I'm gonna give you this.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
The only thing is that Klayton Kershaw's contract became available,
his money right because he's off the payroll DSHA, and
so they signed a man.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Ain't thinking like you, Rob.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
They're just seeing you got Blake Snail, you got Yoes,
you nob you got now all of a sudden you
got DS and you needed a closer.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Tell me more.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
About this move and how it helps them and how
they just the chances of three p and only enhanced.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Now.
Speaker 12 (28:23):
Yeah, it's huge, and I think even the way that
they approached it is pretty funny because the entire off
season they've been saying, we're set. We just won back
to back. Of course, we're going for the three people.
We don't have to make any insane moves like we
did last year, and their first move of the offseason
is this huge contract with Diaz that now of course
fixs really their only flaw going into next year. So,
(28:46):
like you said, I think this is going to turn
some casual fans into haters of the Dodgers, kind of
like how we saw in the late nineties early two
thousands with the Yankees. They're definitely the Dodgers a new
evil empire, and I think at this point cover's blown, right,
they might as well lean in keep going, Like I
think that's what I'm expecting out of them, for them
(29:06):
to be in the mix for Kyle Tucker. They have
the money to spend. They're only getting richer. There's no
reason for them to hit the pause button. They want
three in a row. They're still the team to beat.
Of course, as Shoi Otani in there batting and pitching,
and Yamamoto looked absolutely incredible in the postseason.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
They still needed a Roja to hit a home run
to save them.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
That was almost a billion dollar bust.
Speaker 12 (29:31):
Yeah, that is a problem. They're definitely getting older. Their
core in Mookie Freddie Freeman, these guys have been there
now for a while. Of course, there next month, he
was another one misdelle ross is another, so that that's
a problem in itself. But one thing that they had
that other teams don't now, especially the mess is continuity.
And I think that goes a long way. That it
(29:53):
goes a little behind the scenes, and that they can
rely on each other throughout the course of the season.
One guy slumping another or is not, they come back,
they do it all again in the playoffs and they
go all the way and win. I think, really they
just need one big home run from Freddie Freeman in
the right moment. That's part of his experience. I think
they really have all the pieces together right now. There's
(30:14):
no reason to doubt them. As long as they get
into the playoffs, they're always going to be the favorites
to win.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
All Right, we got about forty five seconds.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
Just tell us h Kyle Talker and Cody Bellinger just
your gut or your intel or whatever you're hearing, where
can those guys wind up? Because those are the two
guys that people are, you know, still hot on.
Speaker 12 (30:33):
Yeah, I'm expecting, if I guess both of those one
each to be on a New York team next year.
The Yankees have to add someone to that outfield. I
don't see how they.
Speaker 9 (30:44):
Don't right to.
Speaker 12 (30:48):
Them, right But if the Mets are involved in that
bidding war, and now Steve Cohen should be extremely excited
to pivot and make his Mets fans happy, then I
don't see the Yankees outbidding Steve Cohen if he really
wants someone like a Bellinger, because Blender would be perfect
for them at first base and everywhere else that he plays.
So if Bender goes to Mets, I can see Tucker
(31:09):
going to Yankees. They've been my favorite to get Tucker
all along because they've been linked to him for years now,
and when they're linked to guys like they were with
Soto even when he was on the Padres, they end
up getting them. So I think Tucker Yankees, and I
would go Belender Metz right now.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
All right, little Burrow swap for for Fodey there. Thank you, Deisha,
appreciate it.
Speaker 12 (31:28):
As always, It's good to be on guys.
Speaker 2 (31:31):

Speaker 1 (32:08):

Speaker 3 (32:14):
How'd you do one? And I was one? And I
are the Knicks beat the Raptors. There you go. You
do get the music? Remember that you were undefeated.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
I hit it's so good today, not today.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Not a good night?
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Yeah, everything that is allegedly remember that. All right, here
we go tonight, let's get some uh Shekel City going And.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Now dang that song don't even hit the same no more.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
Ninety one and eighty two, ninety one and eighty two tonight.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
What's tonight? Wednesday night, isn't it? We're not doing this
again round. I don't know what night is. It's Wednesday?
What games?
Speaker 5 (32:50):
It's only one game tonight? I mean if the other
game is already is it? Starkers? So no, you had
the Spurs and the Lake who you got so I'm
gonna take the Spurs plus seven and a half if
the Lakers win.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
But the Spurs covered. No, Wemby's out. He's out. Yeah,
Wemby's out.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (33:06):
So I got the Spurs plus seven and a half
in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
Uh and remember, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who to
bet on.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Ahhaul, All right, is that true? All let's get the

Things are still unfolding, so say right there, oh yeah,
there's a lot of stuff coming and.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Whatnot, and we'll uh, we'll tackle that will be you know,
some clarity, Rob.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
Gre I mean, we're still gathering information. We're talking with
Martin Weister in the update and off the air as well.
This Charon More story keeps getting more and more interesting. Yeah,
you know, he's already been fired for uh having an
impermissible relationship with the staffer her and now we've just
(34:37):
found out that uh, he was detained by police in
Michigan on Wednesday, turned over to a second area police
department for an investigation of potential charges. Right now, we
still don't know what exactly those charges are why he
was detained, but that is the latest time that is crazy.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Now that because that changes everything because if there are
charges here then and we're not gonna guess, I don't
even want to. It could be a wide variety.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Of something that could have happened during this and this
is why he was fired with calls and why they
believe they have credible evidence for the police to get involved.
It's one thing to cross the line exactly of work
and what were laid out exactly like that's something that's
it's not criminal, but it's it's against company policy, right
(35:21):
not criminals.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Conduct exactly and you sign a contract.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
We all signed contracts, morals, clauses baseball players. We talk
about it all the time. Guys get thrown out of
baseball for doing stuff.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Uh, that's what you signed on the dotted line and
they pay you a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
So that's where we are, uh.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
You know. And just to add to to go to
the x's and o's of the football with him, I
think Martin, you're in a lum. I'm obviously born and
raised in an Aubora. I think while they were disappointing offensively,
I think there was an element of people who were
like kind of all right, well, you know what, this
season was kind of better than you thought of.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
IM say this to you, the football just doesn't work
for me today with the news coming out, Well, what
do you mean, I'm just like, we're breaking down their offense.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Oh no, no, not breaking down, No no, no no.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
What I was saying was I'm just saying, no, no, no,
let me, let me, let me, let me coact this.
What I was gonna say was when the news came,
I told Roger start getting a couple of texts, and
people were like confused because he ended up having a
nine to three season, better than you thought it would be.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
So people were like blown away by that.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
They thought Michigan was fired him just because maybe they
you know, they felt like they could do better as
a coach.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
So then about three to five minutes later, Adam Schefter
drops it and starts dropping all the place, and then
what happened came. But the initial reaction people were confused
because he just sounded.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
He got fired because of the nine and three.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
That's what people were saying, Like is it They thought
initially like dang, I didn't think it was that bad.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
I know, the offense was struggling. Why would they fire
for that?
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Then the news drops and now, as we said, this
is a fluid thing and things continue to drop.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
So that's what.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Now, three coaches in a row with some scandal, if
you include Juwan Howard knowing a basketball tip, you got
the way Jim Harball left.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
What I want to say at Michigan is once your cheatah,
always a Cheatah.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Now you can't go to the Lions games. You can't
go to Michigan. You can't go to Michigan games. Thank god,
you're cool with Joe Dumars. You know, Well, I could
go to a Pelican game. That's all you got to do.
Though I don't think that works. That might give you
a little bit still with the Detroit because you're still cool.
I own a barbershop on seven Mile. I can still
go to Detroit. That's why I sporty cuts. Yeah, go ahead,
get that free advertise, Go and tell them where else
(37:35):
I need a line, though,
