hours today on this TV theme song.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Thursday Couple Homies Swinging by two.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yes, but first let's welcome in the Odd Couple crew,
because we wouldn't be able to do this fine radio
program without him. Alex is our engineer, Shay is our producer,
Shaye is our Rob G, who he played for I
was literally his intern. I was Alex's intern. Unbelieved, still unbelievable, unbelievable.

(04:02):
Rob G's off the next couple of days. Martin Weiss
is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us updated throughout
the program, and of course Elijah's social media Google one
of the best in the business.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Right, I heard of you, Elijah, if you get that
clip for me? If you did, now, I never heard
of you.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
What Martin? Martin was mad that what you didn't give
me a drop? Drop? He's looking for a drop? What
is your drop?

Speaker 5 (04:27):
This?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
All right, let's hear it. He and I talked about this.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Oh, so he's saying he dropped the ball, so we're
all getting drops down?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, exactly, that's what.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
Now?

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Can I get a drop? What's going on? I know
it's dropped central both to foul application. Okay, all right,
I don't though, I don't know. We got to think
about it. That'd be easy, shade. Are you kidding me?
There's a lot of stuff to do with Shay. It's
supposed to be you guys, though he did to marry Mary.
What do I gotta think of it? Okay? You know

(05:00):
what I mean?

Speaker 7 (05:01):
In fairness, I'll defend us, Rob, you and me too.
We give stuff to people here often, exactly always here
Martin started being more in the rotation.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
But started being more in the rotation. I'm here, I
feel like I've been here. At least send me once
every other week. Okay, all right, no, no, no, you
guys will work that. It will get the drops we deserve.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
This smart with the Mary Mary, she got it quick,
but just I know because of her married Mary.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
It was just too easy. It was just too easy.
Give Martin like a Jimi Hendrix joint with the guitar.
Oh that's smart, Yeah, that's smart, Jimmy Hendricks, little American.
I was the you know, the national anthem.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
I was thinking that something with more like of a
Jewish overtone because Martin Weiss.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
You know, people thought that Martin was Jewish. First of all,
there's still not people who name they think you do
know that, right? I know, I've heard that.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
There are some folks right now who maybe are hard
to say, who never seen us on YouTube, who think
you're you're Jewish?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Why because I sound like I'm from New York and
I sound did I do that?

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Did I do? You're Jewish?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Brethren your former co host Mike Stone, who is Jewish. Yes,
Stoney said, Stoney says you were Jewish. Suit said I
was a Jewish man trapped in.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
A black man's body. Yeah, you go, so get out
like the movie Let's.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Do It All right, A big show on this TV
theme song Thursday and Alex. That was a great way
to start it with the Golden Girls, of course, speaking
of another Golden Girl, Yes, the Golden got news today.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, the Golden Girl of the w NBA. We know
who that is. Caitlyn Clark. Oh, I think you Angel Weeks.
I'm sorry, go ahead, No, Caitlyn Clark. She is gonna
be missing the whole All Star festivities, the game, the
three point contests, and something that you and I had
been talking about over the last couple of days what
would happen.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
But now she's gonna sit out. We know she's been
dealing with that growin injury.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
She's really been beat up over the last handful of weeks,
maybe to the last month or so, so that they
decided to sit her out. Uh so she can rest
up and you'll be ready to go for the rest
of the season. So there you're having the star of
the WNBA not gonna be playing with the other stars
of the WNBA and the All Star weekend festivities.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
I'm just gonna say this, what are you about to say?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
This is the second All Star game that Caitlyn Clark
has ruined. Okay, she ruined the NBA one which would
take part in the three point shot, and now she's hurt.
I'm not saying she's jaking it or faking it, but
her not playing. If I'm the commission of the WNBA,

(07:33):
whoever that is, I.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Would cancel the NBA All Star Weekend.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I mean, are you serious?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
And if I was a fan who bought tickets and
a planes, I would be on the phone.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
I want to refund. If Caitlyn Clark's not there, I'm
not coming. You know what It's like what if I said.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
About Caitlin Clark, She's like the Halem Glow Tritters. Right
when she shows up, people show up in mass it
would be like the Harlem Globe Trotters is coming to
town and metal Law Clemon may rest in peace.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
He ain't playing, he ain't handling the ball, he ain't there.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
You can't have an All Star Game without Kaitlin Clark. WNBA,
do everybody a favor. Mass refunds, let people out, let
people move that like catching their airline tickets, cancel their
hotel rooms.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I'm serious.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
That's the only reason they've had the WNBA All Star
Game weekend that nobody ever remembers.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Can you do you remember two years ago? Man, it
was getting down. Okay, why do you remember that?

Speaker 6 (08:44):
No? Three?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
She crossed the old girl over. I'm not overreacting. I'm
telling you. If I was a WNBA fan and I
bought tickets and a flight in a hotel, I would
be on the phone to the airlines.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
I need a refund.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
I'm canceling my hotel room, and I'm on the phone
to the WNBA, to the hotline number, and I'm saying,
this is not what I paid for.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I want my money back. Well, listen, I can't front.
She's the draw.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
I mean, I went to the game last year, took
my girls here at what is it Crypto dot Com
Arena now, and I tell you what, Rob, I've been
to a billion Laker games and Clipper games around here.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
That thing was rocking. And at the end of the game,
I've never seen so many people go to a star afterwards.
It was insane.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I'm actually shocked they let that many people get onto
the court and take pictures of interviews and it was insane.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
So she is a rock star.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
There's absolutely no denying that so many people bought their
tickets to say, Hey, they can always say I remember
I got a chance to see her her, Hey, you
wanted to go see one of the best you know,
to their children, you got to see one of the
best female players of all time.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
So without a doubt, ain't no denying that.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
It reminds me of Rob how many Detroit Lion fans
call Spear the airlines back.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Hey, real quick, I'm want that refund that I know.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I just booked the ticket six hours ago, five hours ago,
maybe in some cases thirty minutes ago, because I thought
we were gonna win this game against the forty nine
ers and go to the super Bowl. Yeah, I need
a refund. I had twenty four hours of cancel, so
I'm doing it now. That's the possibility to that. But
you know what, this is an opportunity for Sometimes in
these bad situations, Rob, you get an opportunity and danget wnba.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
You have that.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Let me explain what I mean. She is the super nova.
She is the star. We all know that. But you
got a chance for her to be the supernova that
flies over the other stars. But you can still showcase
the stars and make a nice galaxy. Let me get
all astronomical and astronomer like on you. So what's happening
is she is creating everything, right, she is creating a

(10:48):
solar system. She's the Sun and everything's over ring around her.
But to me, you have an opportunity the WNBA to say, hey,
you were gonna watch, maybe some people will still watch,
still tune in, and we can show in case our
other stars. They may not be super nova's like her,
I'll give you that, but they're still stars. All stars
shined a little differently. And here's what it reminds me of.
Let me go on this TV theme song Thursday You

(11:11):
Knew a show back in the eighties that carried into
the nineties, A.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Different World, Remember a Different World?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
For those who don't remember, it was a spinoff of
The Cosby Show and Lisa Bonet played Denise suck Stable
and the Cosby Show and they made a star for her.
She's going off to college to Hillman. She's getting ready
to go. She's gonna be the star of this show.
I thought it was Filman. Oh god, no, No, that's
the real She's going to Hillman and she's gonna be
the star of this show called a Different World. In
the first season, she's there. It's a hit, it's a

(11:37):
big show. She's the star. She's the Caitlin Clark of
this thing. But then she's had some issues with people
who had issue with directors. Blah blah blah. She gets
off the show and they're worried, Oh, shoot, this show
might not work without our star. But thankfully for them,
they ended up having other stars and the show would
go on to have many many years from it had
a seven year run because you had Jasmine. Guys, you

(11:59):
know who played Whitley, who would blow up become a star.
One of the best comedians of his era came from
that Sindbad. We would get him, who would become a star.
Kadeem Harrilson had a great run.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
We would even get.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Marissa toe May who had her character on this show.
She would become a star. So my point is this
is like that we got our Lisa bonnang our Denise
Sucktable in a Different World, and she might not be
continuing the show for a while, but Daggett, we can
make some other stars shine and continue to prop up
the league. And I think it's an opportunity for them
Rob to say, we can't always depend on her. What

(12:33):
if she's just what if she becomes injury prone? What
if she just ends up being good but not great?
Great point ends. You gotta start showcasing other people, and
this is a chance to do so. For those who
already bought tickets, for those who already planned on tune
it in, for those who plan on broadcasts in the game,
this is an opportunity to showcase those other stars. And
you never know, you might get a Jasmine Guy, a
Sinbad and Marissa toe May on a show that you

(12:56):
thought would just you know, ancillary pieces.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Well, let me give you the update on the w
NBA All Star TV h Here. I am trying to
be doing it right.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
That's what the w n b A All Star TV
ratings will be with no Caitlin Clark. I'm just I'm
just keeping it real, no notice, and they're not you know,
they're not gonna get the number.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
The numbers ain't gonna number. But I'm trying to think
long term. Brother.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
It's like you know how it is, when you invest,
you gotta think long term. Sometimes some stock everything and
a penny stock where you can make a bunch of money.
Sometimes you gotta ride this thing out, and they gotta
start showcasing other stars, building them up, because what if
she's injury prone? What if she quits early? What if
she you know, just ends up being good but not
super great and you got other people you need to
showcase or you know, or we just become over her,

(13:49):
because you know that happens. The same thing we love
you for becaumes the same thing we hate you for eventually,
and everybody all she does the shoot three, she's so grumpy?
Why she fighting everybody? Everybody loves it. Now that could
become the thing they don't like her for a handful
of years.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
All right, This is the odd couple eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox. Aky knees, stiff back joints, not cooperating.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
What you're talking about me? Some days your body is
just like nope. And on those days, luckily there's a
leave with just one pill.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
A leave provides up to twelve hours of pay relief
so that you can keep moving.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Use as director.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
We want to hear from you if you add tickets
to the WNBA All Star Weekend, the game and the
three point Contest and all that stuff. Would you ask
for a refund, would you up the cash in your ticket?
Or are you still going? Because there's no way, no
how am I going if I had a ticket in
this No Caitlyn Clark, No Caitlyn Clark, no WNBA All

(14:45):
Star Game.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
It's just that simple. It is the Odd Couple.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, but right now we're talking about Caitlin Clark not
gonna be able to play in the All Star Game
in a three point contest. He is trying to heal
and get her body right. Rod says, cancel the whole thing.
I said, nah, this is a chance for other stars
to shine.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
What say you?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox Tony in DC,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Tony?

Speaker 9 (16:52):
What's up?

Speaker 10 (16:53):
Fellas Kelvin? I need to do your favorite my brother?

Speaker 3 (16:56):
What's that?

Speaker 10 (16:58):
Check raw Parker's cup.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Because it is a little dark looking like a little
Jack and Coke over there, Tony.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
It might be some Jack and coney, Jack.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
And Anny over there to be drunk.

Speaker 10 (17:09):
Rob Parker and Rob come on now, this girl can
barely get the ball up the court. Now they're full
court pressing her. The stars of the league are Asia Wilson,
Sabrina Escon, whatever her name is.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Are you to ask you who I got you?

Speaker 10 (17:24):
Paige Beckers in Dallas. I'm saying this, Rob, stop it,
Robbie being start casting?

Speaker 6 (17:35):
They stop it? All right?

Speaker 10 (17:38):
All right, Wow, nobody going to cancel their tickets.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Thank you, buddy, appreciate it. How about Drew in New Jersey.
You're on the EYD couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
What's up, Drew Harriet, We got you.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
Yep.

Speaker 11 (17:53):
Hey, guys, I think that.

Speaker 12 (17:56):
Definitely Eels are definitely gonna be lost with her there.
And I think it's kind of funny they're talking about.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
You know, the w n b A.

Speaker 12 (18:04):
Oh, we're to go at it the union talk, which
is I mean, really, that's the best time to talk
about reorganizing when you're losing money. But you know, everybody
loves to watch the w n b A. But I
think that if we're all being honest, the NBA would
not even be able to decide it defund the w

(18:25):
n b A because if they did that, they would
be outrage Oh.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Oh yeah, without a doubt. They can't. Yeah, no doubt,
with no doubt about it. Eight seven. They're attached to
the hit now. They gotta they gotta ride this thing out.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Jermaine in South Carolina, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Jermaine?

Speaker 6 (18:43):
It goes on, guys, long time as the first time calling.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Appreciate that you appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
Uh yeah, man, I like to a lot of stuff
to say kill and raw to man from the Star
with bizarre, but I have to disagree with you on this.
I think the w NBA should keep it going on.
I've been listening to w A for a long time,
back when they.

Speaker 13 (19:09):
Had Charles Steen back in short white to live at
But ye've been falling for for a minute. But I
think if the league gonna ever survive, they have to
have other stars to mean, I know, to lose the
money it should.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Have been business.

Speaker 13 (19:22):
But ever going uh survive, they need more than just can't.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Thank you, buddy, appreciate it. Robing Queens. You're in the
odd couples right.

Speaker 14 (19:35):
Next to me, right, guys, guys, Man, welcome back.

Speaker 6 (19:38):
Rob, Thank you? How are you? Rob?

Speaker 14 (19:42):
I'm okay, Rob, but you got.

Speaker 6 (19:43):
Me going sight already.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
We just started.

Speaker 14 (19:47):
I know you've been having my drinking choice double shot
at Jack need I don't know what's going on with you, man.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Well he's trying to hide it with a coke. Rob,
he's Jack and coke right now.

Speaker 14 (19:56):
Okay, she's not even the best play in the league.
Asias to bring and Brehanna the three best place in
the league inna Visa, call your Asia.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
They won't be even watching in Japan.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
I mean, I'm just trying to say a j a Asia,
Asia just went crazy for like thirty seven last night, and.

Speaker 14 (20:13):
She brings and she doesn't actually people do know who
Asia Wilson is. So I'm like, and then Rob, you're
the part of the reason why the the chicks is
up here. They go after her because your your gas
are up and she's the greatest thing since Cheryl Miller
and she's not all right?

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Hey, Rob, I like it?

Speaker 4 (20:34):
And did you get the way he said Cheryl Miller Miller, Yeah,
you got New York very nice. Relax, Relax New Yorkers. Hey,
Dennis uh and Omaha, Nebraska. You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Dennis?

Speaker 11 (20:47):
Hey, you know what I'm saying. I think the reason
why the other women go at her is because we
know she's good and great. But the problem is they
don't understand she was doing this at our and they
come from the rest of them come from like Yukon
and uh, North Carolina and South Carolina, and they always
had other superstars with them, So so her intriguing.

Speaker 10 (21:11):
She more intrigued too because.

Speaker 11 (21:12):
Of the fact how many how many ladies did she
played with?

Speaker 6 (21:15):
But she was in Iowa. This is the w n
b A.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Now it might not be any.

Speaker 11 (21:21):
Right, you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
But so she was.

Speaker 10 (21:24):
She was doing that by herself.

Speaker 11 (21:26):
That's where the intrigue come from, man, because I mean,
everybody knows she's great, just like the other stars are great.
But the mother stars they they was playing with other stars.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
All right, Hey, real quick, Dennis, are you watching yea
or now you watching?

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (21:39):
Yeah, yeah, I'm intrigued because she shar got the eyeballs there, okay, jurious?

Speaker 3 (21:44):
You know what they stuck?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
They all stuck and they don't get to see Agea
Wilson and Marina and rescuing Britney Stower, Squeeze.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
And Brandy real quick and windsor you're on the odd
couple by yeah, Brad, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
Brady, well say they're a bitch and Sundance. How are
you well? Since Bert Ward was eighty July sixth, how
about playing the Batman theme song?

Speaker 3 (22:08):
We will do that. Burt Ward is eighty years old.
That's unbelievad Yeah.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Yeah, he's exactly eight years older than I am. I
was seventy two July sixth. But anyways, as far as
Caitlin Kirk was concerned, yeah, she's probably the first truly transcendental,
transcendent female athlete over the not just the WNBA, not
just female sports, but now she's a mainstream sports celebrity.

(22:33):
But as far as canceling the WNBA All Star Game, never,
because they're also awful all sorts of other great players
of the WNBA that deserve to be seeing by the
by the public.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Okay, all right, Brady, thank you, That's what I'm trying
to tell you. Rob Daggett canceled day, canceled out a
star without a doubt.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
But their other stars, I want to read, daughters have
Asia Wilson's shoes right now.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Okay, don't do Asia Wilson like that. The best player
in the WM.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
You see her do her u elaiser Wan move, last
Night dreams, shaking him all right on the way Eddie
House in just a bit right now, Martin White's gonna
get you set on what's trendy?

Speaker 3 (23:08):
What's up? Barton?

Speaker 15 (23:10):
Nine time NBA All Star Damian Lillard heading back home,
finalizing a three or forty two million dollar contract to
return to the Portland Trail Blazers at their brief dalliance
with the Bucks, and the deal is expected to include
a player option in twenty twenty seven to twenty eight
and a no trade clause. Caitlin Clark will missed the
three point contest in an All Star Game in Indianapolis
this weekend after sustending a growing injury versus the Sun

(23:33):
on Tuesday. Despite reports in the first hour of the
odd couple the game will still be held. There's enter statement.
Clark said she'll be in present in all the actions,
so there you go. Won't be participating, but we'll be there.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
At the open.

Speaker 15 (23:45):
There's a five way tie at the top of the
leader board that includes Matt Fitzpatrick and Harris English. There
are all four under par of a roll Scotti, Scheffler's
one shot back, McElroy three shots back. Mickelson had a
one hunderd seventy. That's his best opening round that it
opens since twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
TJ. Watt became the highest paid non quarterback in NFL.

Speaker 15 (24:03):
History, not once but twice in his career, agreeing to
a three year, one hundred and twenty three million dollar
extension that's one hundred and eight fully guaranteed at signing
forty one million dollars per year average, the highest of
any non quarterback and NFL history in Rashi Rice has
been sentenced to five years probation and thirty years of
jail time that can be served during those five years.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
That stems from his role in a multi car crash
in Dallas.

Speaker 15 (24:27):
Vikings Our receiver Jordanatis compleaded guilty to a lesser charge
to resolve a twenty twenty four duy citation. The plea agreement, however,
still leaves some subject to NFL discipline similar thing to
what happened with Rice. Clouds quarterback Cults quarterback Anthony Richards
Seniors believed to have recovered from his recent right shoulders
setback as the team prepares to report to training camp

(24:49):
next week.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
You remember he's in.

Speaker 15 (24:51):
That quarterback battle with Daniel Jones, if that's what you
call it, quarterback fight, quarterback argument, quarterback discussion.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Back to you, oh, quarterback scuffle, something like that squabble up.
Appreciate you, Martin on the way, We got our guy
right now. Eddie House, that's right, Eddie House joining the
Eye couple. Robin Kevin on a TV themes on Thursday.
He's an NBA champion, NBC Sports Boston, Fox Sports Radio,
NBA Antles and he is an Emmy winner.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
That's right, Eddie. What's up?

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Man?

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Hey, Eddie?

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Are you with me that the w NBA should cancel
the All Star Game now that Kaitlin Clark can't participate?

Speaker 3 (25:28):
How extra he is, Eddie?

Speaker 9 (25:30):
No, you tripping, Eddie, you're tripping. People ain't tuning in
just to watch Kaitlin Clark.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
You're watching. See the ratings are gonna be in the toilet.
Let's just be honest, Eddie. They are when she was hurt.
When she was hurt, they dropped fifty five percent. Those
are facts, not feelings, I know.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
But you can't do that.

Speaker 9 (25:52):
You can't take that away from the other women that
been out there balling, that deserved the fact to have
All Star game. Think about if he was going to
your first All Star Game and they said we canceled
it because of her, you know what I mean, It'll
be a whole lot different. So yeah, no, you can't
do that, man.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Well, the other news in the day, we want to
get to Damian Lillard. I want to jump in here.
I'm sorry. If I'm Portland, thank you, but no, thank you.
I wouldn't be interested in bringing him back. And I'm
gonna tell you why. He wanted out. He didn't want
to be there. He felt, now you're injured, you're banged up,
you want to come back and be in a comfortable

(26:31):
place and play out the string. That's good. But I
would not bring him back. I'm dead serious. It's different
if I got rid of him because we couldn't pay
him or whatever it was, and it wasn't his.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
But he asked to be traded, Eddie, Am I crazy?

Speaker 9 (26:47):
Well at the time that he got traded and asked
to get traded, was it worthy? And did he do
everything for Portland and do everything that he could to
try to put that that organization on his back and
they didn't do anything to really help him. And then they,
you know, Anthony Simons came in and he you know,

(27:09):
mentored him and helped him out. Now I believe he's
with the Boston Celtics. My whole thing is, uh no,
there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
I'm not taking anybody back after they walked out on me.
I'm not doing it, Eddie. I'm dead serious.

Speaker 9 (27:26):
Oh, you ain't never kiss you never kissed the ex girlfriend?

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Yeah, but I didn't take her back, is what?

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Yeah, that's all I'm talking.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
I'm not taking her back. You gave her some time,
gave her some time. No, no, y'all kiss for about
a year. We didn't get back together, is my point.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Yeah, I try to act like, hey, Eddie, did anybody
kissing leave you?

Speaker 6 (27:45):
Eddie?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
You remarrying your ex wife? Oh okay, okay, then there
you go. That's my point.

Speaker 9 (27:51):
She ain't and she damn so ain't getting the kids.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Well that might be, yeah, but I don't think they
ended like y'all ended, right, But I think Dame in
Portland ended a little bit that Eddie and his ex wife.
All right, Eddie switching so well staying of course in
the league, Cooper flag Man Just obviously it's the or yeah,
it's the summer league, so it's not as if he
was playing against NBA pros. But just overall your thoughts
of him, what you saw, what you like, if you
were able to gauge or get anything from it at all.

Speaker 9 (28:18):
I mean, you know, you had two games. One game
he didn't shoot the ball particularly well. Then the next
game he played, you know, up to his standard. He
ran the floor and got dunks to handle the ball
to make shots and things like that I don't think
Cooper Flass might have a problem adjusting to the NBA game,
especially with being under the tutelage of Jason Kidd and
being around the pros that you know, the guys that

(28:41):
are veterans that's over there, that are going to be
able to take him under his wing, because I don't
think that. I don't think that Kyrie is gonna be
over there looking at him sideways, because you can get
into a situation where gods are looking at you sideways
and they like and he coming to take my spot? Man,
you know what I mean. I'm not gonna give him
no game. I'm not gonna help him out. I'm not

(29:02):
gonna push him forward. I'm not gonna tell him how
to be a pro, how to move. I think with
Jason Kidd and that coaching staff, and also with Kyrie,
because I believe Kyrie is gonna help him out. Because
Kyrie is not gonna be available and he's gonna have
to run, He's gonna have to bring the ball up
a lot. And so when a D comes back, a
D could give him some game on how to work

(29:26):
on your footwork when you're on the block. You know
what I mean where you get your spot at.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
So I think it.

Speaker 9 (29:32):
I think he landed in the right spot, you know,
and and and then not only landing in the right spots.
I think that what I've seen from him so far.
And this is going back to when uh, I'll tell
you Scout told me about him about five years ago,
was like, man, this this kid's a dog. He got
a different mentality, and watching his development, I could see that.

(29:53):
So I don't think he's gonna have an issue. You
could almost pistol him in for Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Well, I mean, obviously we would have to wait and see.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
He should be doing well because I think his what
he brings will translate not in that out you just
need to defend a knight, Okay, you need to rebound
to night.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
You need me to score to nine.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I think he can do multiple things each night, doesn't
He's not only a score which will help him. Eddie
House our guest NBA Champ, NBA NBC Sports Boston.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Of course you hear him a Fox Sports.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Radio as well, and he is an Emmy winner with
the odd Couple on the TV Things on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
How much did that cost? Three ninety nine? How much
does it cost to get them things? Crazy? Right?

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (30:30):
You know what?

Speaker 9 (30:31):
No free ninety nine? It was my game.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Okay, I'm sorry, Yeah, of course, Edie. No, the producers
on his show had to pay. The lower people ain't
making no money.

Speaker 6 (30:41):
Making all the money we put on.

Speaker 9 (30:43):
We put on a hell of his show and they recognized.
They was like, oh we like that right there, you
know what I mean. So we got to get him
a trophy for that one.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Very nice. Trump is expensive, that's what we're talking.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Where are you on the Bradley build to the Clippers
because people think it's a great fit, do you.

Speaker 9 (30:58):
I don't think that moves the needle for the Clippers.

Speaker 6 (31:00):
I'm not.

Speaker 9 (31:01):
I'm not when I look at the Clippers. It goes
to So now Bradley Beal goes to another team that's
kind of like built just like Phoenix the same way
where you got a ball dominant James Harden and then
you got Kawhi Leonard another score. He's supposed to be
the third score. But they all kind of play on
the perimeter that type of game, and that's exactly what

(31:23):
Phoenix was. Phoenix was Kevin Durant, Devin.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Bookers, more pieces, than the Clip than the Suns had.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
Though.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
I get what you're saying with those three, but the
Clippers have way more pieces.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Than the Sun. The Sons had nobody after those three.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I hear you on that part.

Speaker 9 (31:41):
But at the same time, you're gonna lean on those threes,
and those three are gonna have to learn how to
play with each other and play off of each other,
And so to me, I don't know. I don't like
to say it ain't gonna work, because you know, you
never know. You know what I'm saying, you never know,
But from the outside looking in, I don't I don't

(32:02):
know how how well that will work. I think it'll
be a carbon copy of what happened in Phoenix.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
The only reason why I totally get you no playoffs
is that what you're saying that the Clippers will not.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
We got Eddie on the record, no playoffs for the Clippers.

Speaker 9 (32:14):
I didn't say that, you just said.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
You always doing that.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
You know he gonna try to do. You know what
he gonna do, Eddie, have it lined up so when
you're wrong.

Speaker 6 (32:24):
Yeah, No, I didn't say that at all.

Speaker 9 (32:25):
I just said I don't think that it's gonna work
the way that people are thinking that it's gonna work.
And you could take that to the bank.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
You could say that, all right, but you said you said,
you said a carbon copy of the sun. They didn't
make the playoffs last year. That's what I was asking you.

Speaker 9 (32:41):
Yeah, okay, So so will the Clippers make the playoffs?

Speaker 3 (32:44):
I'm asking you yes or no?

Speaker 9 (32:46):
And the Clippers make the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (32:48):
I think they have.

Speaker 9 (32:50):
They have better coaching.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Okay, so that question about that question one did so.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
They have an opportunity yes, us.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Yeah, I was just gonna say, I think to your yeah,
it's more or less just a touch to add on
to your point. I think the difference to me, Eddie
is that they have an insurance because we know Kawhi
injury prone, or even if it's not injury, they're just
gonna manage them. So I think you've got a guy.
That's the one difference to me is you.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Got a guy.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
All right, Kawhi is gonna miss a couple of nights.
You know he's gonna overall miss twenty five thirty games.
You've got a guy right there that you could just
plug in. I think that's the one difference. I totally
get your point about having most You.

Speaker 6 (33:25):
Got to defend. You got to defend.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Well, he ain't.

Speaker 9 (33:29):
I don't know how great they are, how great they
will be on on the perimeter defendant.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Yeah, John Collins will help download with a shot blocker.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
He'll help download, for sure, he'll help out a little bit.

Speaker 9 (33:39):
But I mean you compantly start getting beat, I promise you.
Then big fellas start talking like man, when you're gonna
guard your yard? Are you ever gonna keep somebody in.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
Front of you?

Speaker 3 (33:48):
That's real?

Speaker 6 (33:49):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
James Harden ain't doing that, James, He's James Herring because
ain't no d all right, Eddie appreciate you, man, hain't
you Eddie?

Speaker 6 (33:57):
All right? Y'all be good man boy.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
James Herron out there, ain't got none all right. On
the way Shekel City player of the day. And also
a big signing finally happened in the NFL. We got
to talk about a good move, bat move. We'll tell
you it's the O couple. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
I'm living on the air in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, w k RP.
Uh uh been down and I'm packing yo yo yo
up down, up and down the doll.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Here we go up and down the dow baby O. You,
me and me were never meant to be. Just think
of me once in a while. Where are you living.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
I'm at WKRP in Cincinnati.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I'm actually happy that I worked and live there. Just
so that song hits better than now it just does.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
I know about the four to seventy one bridge, I
know about the you know, Montgomery and Ribs.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
And the chili in the three way, in the five Way.

Speaker 7 (35:11):
I thought it was something sexual when I first got
there is a Kinko's email, you know what.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
The thing that shocked me was just driving down anytime
you go down the atlant he kind of got to
go through there. Right there on the bridge, you said,
you get to see Cincinnati, and right on the other
side of the bridge is Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Yes, and you go down there.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
We pulled off get some food and I was like, oh,
you really are in Kentucky cause they high welcome to Sam.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Can I help you? I was like, whoh, well, I didn't.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
Expect that I say, Ron, what's that your type of
genre for theme songs that just hits different than anything today.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
It just does that we could play on the radio
and you wouldn't have thought it was it was a
real song. I don't know. People do have a nostalgia
for that late eighties, early nineties.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
That one guys theme songs, They just they are really good,
like real song. They put energy into them, not to
just like just make some sort of thing.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Now they're trash now they just get some randomness. But
the nine late eadies nineties, that who's that? The one
guy who sang every song?

Speaker 3 (36:11):
Is that his name? No, he was looking up for
me Alex. He yeah, he's the guy who did the
like Family Matters, Growing Paint, all those songs from the
eighties and ninetys. He sang own songs and me dine
he did like four or five of them everywhere.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
That dude, whoever that is, shout out to him, all right,
as Alex, look for the Alex. Let me make sure
I get him with this. It is time now for
Shekel City.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Welcome to this shackle City, the whole base for Rob
Parker's day Dicks against the Scrap.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
How did dude, rab how did you do?

Speaker 4 (36:56):
I was over because there were no games last night?
And don't tell me that the w NBA playing no
that's double How are you going to double disrespected?

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Wa? Just the no games again tonight? It's crazy.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
We will get back to it on Friday when Major
League Baseball starts back.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
When you pick the w NBA game, you pick a team,
It's crazy. This what am I living? In his seventies
and sixties the best showing this is crazy right now?

Speaker 4 (37:23):
No, I'm just saying so one seventy five and one
eighties the record will start it fresh on Friday. And remember, Kevin,
when I do pick games that really matter, I'm not
telling you who to bet on.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
I'm telling you why better on. Asia Wilson about to
call Bam her Man bam and coming here gonna see you.
You'll be doing a Wilson like that? What did catch me? Betting?

Speaker 14 (37:42):
Man?

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Theyve be betting on the WNBA, though they do be
betting on the WNBA. Don't me doing them like that?
Aga Wilson, just start talking. My daughter's got her All
of them got.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
Over under from misshots at the at the rim?

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Is that what I said? Asia, Wilson, not Anger Rees. Okay,
I'm just saying Anger Reese has gotten better. She's been
putting up crazy numbers like somebody.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Over under Alex Is like twenty twenty miss shots to
know be twenty rebounds.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
For Asia Angel Reese. Okay, it is down time for
the tirerec Player of the day.

Speaker 15 (38:12):
You all Lloyd over Lee, you runo, I'll pit your
freebound put back in one.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Asia Wilson, put your headphones back on. That was what
is the Shaw aces TV radio Silver Silver State Radio,
Silver State?

Speaker 4 (38:28):
What was that was Asia Wilson getting buckets on an
ANWNBA game.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
She had thirty seven. Yeah, yes, no wonder my years
of bleed.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
I've been calling her Hakeem Alaysia one the way she's
been balling lately, putting the moves on. So shout out
to her and the ass right now. All right, So
there's your tirereck Player of the day and don't forget.
For over forty years, Tirerek has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Ship Fast and free back by free Road has a
protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tirec

(38:57):
dot Com the way tire buying should be. We got
some other news as well. You know, lately, everybody's been
getting paid in different sports. We talked about it in
the NBA. Now guys are getting paid in the NFL
as well.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
You got t J.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Watt finally coming to terms with the with the Stealers,
getting that contract extension.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
So one hundred and eight million guaranteed. That's the number, right,
one hundred.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
That's what we're going because with me and I, we
don't do that.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
We're not gonna do the use to do the bolt
blown up bloaded number that they throw out because those
numbers never last.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
They don't work because he either will get cut or
you'll resign again and never really get it anywhere.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
So they'll make you take a pay cut in order
to continue to contract.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Exactly you want to play that fifth sixth year, we
got to take a pay cut to keep you. So
one hundred and eight guarantee for him, and this extension
a three year extension for him, making him the highest
paid non quarterback in NFL history. And by the way,
this will be the second time that he is that
highest paid non quarterback in NFL history. So he's coming
off an amazing career thus far. The the defense struggle

(40:00):
a little bit for him, as for the Steelers as well,
but TJ. Watt thirty one years old, a lot of
people question is it too much to pay a guy
at this point and not to mention as good as
he's been for them, and he has been spectacular Hall
of Fame career, it hasn't mounted to a postseason win,
as they've gone what eight years now without a postseason win,
So a lot of people were saying, maybe you might

(40:20):
want to see if you can get a haul, sign
him in, then trade him so you can get a haul.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
But right now he's gonna be with He's a Steeler
and I was never thinking that he was going anywhere.
He is the definition of a Steeler. That's the craziest part.
Like he is this defensive player, what he means for
them as well.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
He's got seven time consecutive Pro Bowls, five defensive player
to your final selections as well.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
So a whole bunch of goodness top coming up here.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
We do.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
The Chiefs are happy to get Rashid Rice back, but
should he be suspended, we'll tell you
