Speaker 1 (03:48):
So Rob G and Rob G and Alex Should I
feel some type of way that he hasn't invited me
to speak to the kids.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Or what do you think? Yeah, not yet, not yet. Yeah,
they said not. I'm just saying, Okay, you know I
mean you said the news segment.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
I mean, it's just a host one of the biggest
news shows in LA every morning anchor.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You know what I'm saying. It's the boy. You know
what I'm saying. You know you, like Martin said, come
into one class, Derek. Look at that. Okay, cool, Now
Derek can come in, but your boy can't. No, No,
but you're on the air to what noon or something
or no, don't worry not now you want to know
what I'm on air? All right, I'm just turning. I've
been flipping the channel.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I see you on that every day. You turn on
like him again? Yes, my god.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
All right, let's welcome in the odd couple crew, because
we wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without him.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Rob g is our producer. Oh yeah, Bud Mexican is.
But Alex's engineer. Behind the curtain one more time, Alise,
behind the curtain.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
You got to be hitting on the buttons, trying to
make the curtain come back.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Love it Steve the seguees at the anchor desk, and
Steve was updated throughout the program, and Elijah and I'm Elijah.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Wow, we miss.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Social media Google. You know, he gave me headphones. He
gave me some replacement headphones from my cups.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Oh my god. I feel some type of way for Elijah.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
No, not you, specifically, mine were raggedy and that's what
you Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Hit him with an HR you every day? What do
you mean me? Literally?
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Well, I was just gonna say that, you know, all
these times you going over? Then he finally gets you
some heap on. Yeah, you're like my.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Four year old.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I'm not gonna like you unless you get me this
ice cream. Rob you know what I'm talking about. I'm simple.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
All right, Hey, let's go here. Let's get going with
the college football and the rankings. Rob g did it
drop yet?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
What we got?
Speaker 7 (05:45):
It's coming out right now, hot and heavy as we speak,
Texas thirteen, Miami twelve. We're gonna keep unveiling at the
show goes on. But one of the big stories coming
into this unveiling here was what's gonna happen we all
missed with about yesterday? Lane Kiffin is gone. He's dipped
out to LSU, even though he said that he wanted
to coach in the playoffs and finish this thing through.
(06:06):
They said, no, hell no, we don't want you around here.
But once that was announced, there was speculation, well, hey,
we saw what happened to Florida State a few years back,
their quarterback. I heard at the end of the season
they were undefeated and they got left out of the
playoffs entirely. That was that was so bad because the
committee said, the take your boy out. So they said,
(06:28):
the team that you are with him is different than
the team you are without him, So you're not the
top four team. So they said, hey, if lane Kiffin
is gone, are we sure that ole Miss is still
you know, top six, top seven, whatever it is. We
know they'll be in the top twelve, we just don't
know where. So today Lane Kiffin graciously apparently put out
(06:48):
a statement saying, hey, Charlie Weiss, junior, my offensive coordinators
come with me to LSU.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
But I'm gonna do y'all solid.
Speaker 7 (06:55):
I'm gonna let him coach all Miss throughout the playoff
so that in hopes that ole Miss will stay properly ranked.
They won't suffer, They won't face any kind of consequences
for him leaving.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
All right, With that said, I just got one question
for you. Kissed that? Then why can't Lane kiffing coach?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
If this guy's he's leaving, he's bolted from the school
of school Oldfields a certain kind of way with the
o C.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Right, Charlie Weiss Junior. We have Charlie Weis's on the show.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Charlie.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I once ran into him in the department store. Y'all
was both at Ross. No, we weren't. It wasn't Ross.
It was actually a high end store in suburban Detroit. Oh,
but anyway, yeah, I was. We ran into it.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
No, it was in Dearborn now, but in a nice,
real nice store. But anyway, My point is this, does
that make sense? Seriously? I know it's the head coach,
but you're letting a guy who's the offensive coordinator stick around.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Who is bolting, who you know is leaving.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Why not say, okay, take your suitcase and your packages
and your bags and a head with Lane because that's
where you're going anyway, and you're not going to be here.
So if that's the case, then why not just through
the whole kitten kaboodle rather than them doing what they're doing.
It's kind of weird to me because if all his
coaches are are the people who are leaving, they should
probably all leave with them.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
You don't because I don't agree. All right, dang it.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
If you're leaving, I'm keeping the dog. That's how it's
going on right now. If your relationship, I'm keeping the dog.
We got some Christmas photos to take me and the dog.
If this breakup is happening, you want to leave this thing,
then go ahead. What old missus doing is actually for
the kids, for the student athletes. What they're saying is
we need some stability. Rob Lane Kevin is our head
(08:42):
coaches did a good job got us to where we are.
We are appreciative. But if you choose the boat, you
choose to leave, that's your prerogative. Go ahead, But we're
keeping offensive coordinator because we want some sense of stability.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
We don't want to disarm them and have them going.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
And speaking of they just drop right now as their
number six, they went up us they were seven. Now
they're number six right there to eleven one, And don't
you think that's weird that they went up well, yeah,
they probably they were like, oh, shoot, we don't want
to everybody's watching us right now.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
We don't want to do him like that.
Speaker 5 (09:11):
Y'all.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Remember when we were in Florida State. They usually don't care,
you know what I mean, like, yeah, usually don't care.
But that's interesting that they went up.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
But you know what, to what I was saying, maybe
keeping an offensive coordinator help with that, because you got
to have some stability.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
You gotta have some continuity.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
You can't uproot the you know, the entire existence of
the program and just be all right, never mind everybody out.
Oh by the way, let's go compete in the college
football playoffs. So you gotta have some stability. You gotta
have something for these kids to say, all right, this
is what we have. And to me, it's also a
rallying point, you know, like a gathering point.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
Yo.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
We like coach, we love him, we appreciate what he did,
but he dipped out on us. So now you got
a rallying CRD. Hey, we are locked in on this.
And to me, you're not about to be double dipping.
You're not about to be here already sending in a
love text messages to.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
LSU how you doing, Boo. I'm gonna be there in
a minute.
Speaker 6 (09:59):
Boo.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I've just been thinking about you. Let me just get
rid of this old thing and then it's me and you.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Nah huh.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
If you're out, then get you out, especially because you
think you're going somewhere bigger and better. If you've decided
to go back to your monorate.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Somethingal coordinators going to.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I need somebody, rob I got one hundred players here
who are ready to go chomping at the big got
a chance to compete and win the national championship. Some
of them are going to and exactly why I'm not
about to have Lane Kiffin sniffing around here and taking Sony.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, you know I'm about to get about here, but
you know I got gotta start position. Do you already
know the news?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
They've already been like texting his phone and a coach.
You need a tight end, A coach, you need a d.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
I'm tight right now. If I'm old missed, I'm tight.
So dang, were about to I'm tight and we're ending
this relationship. You want to talk about tight ends, Get
up out of here. I need a dude or two
so we can still compete. We can still bring our
best feel forward and again, and I mean I've said
it several times that I really mean this. So we
have something for the gay fought hard to be eleven
and one they fall hard to be six with the
(11:00):
new college fall player rankings, and then all of a sudden,
if they have nothing, no offensive word, no head coach,
no saying no.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Kiffin was there for six years. That's an eternity in
college football. Will you give him that?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Especially nowadays nowadays? Six years a long time at one school,
it really is. So I'm not mad at him. I
I'm not that, but I'm saying I got to do.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
We're trying to win, dude. We got somewhere we're never been.
We're in the college football playoffs. I can't out root everything.
And they be like, hey, for the next four weeks,
let's act like there's not a catastrophe.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
And the opposite.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
If I keep playing kiffing around Rob Parker, my quarterback
has a good game, or if he's got a big
game coming up, what's the first thing they're gonna ask? Hey, Well,
you know your head coaches, he's over there, but he's
leaving da Hey, Hey, coach you're leaving.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
But da da da da da. If he's still there, Hey, coach,
you're leaving.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Hey, coach leaving Like everything about out of the I'm
trying to be as distraction free as possible. It's gonna
be a child now that you kind of created this.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
If I'm the offensive coordinator, I come up with a
crappy game plan and I tell them we won't be
running this at l s U.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I'm just watching and I'm calling a lawyer from malpractice
or something. Rob, you heard me. We're not running this.
I'm just I just want you to know. This is
what they do here. You know, you know it's a
little different down there. All right, all right, we're going
you know, you know how they feel about them sports
down there.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
You want to college, You take me a wide receiver.
You're gonna be a diva. We're gonna take care of
You're gonna just force feed you the ball.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
All right.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You're gonna get Jimbo somebody that Jimbo gonna find you.
They don't play about football in the South, you know that.
So no, get out of here, Lane, get out you.
Charlie Weis's junior stay and you know we had Charlie White.
So you actually weren't here the last time we had him.
I think it was doing your baseball I can't.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Remember, but he was talking.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
He was talking about how his son and how they
got a really good system down there, because he was
talking about Jackson Dart and he was saying, how I'm
not telling you he's good just because my son coach.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
I said he loved football because nepotism runs deep in college.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
That was rob She said, we have seven questions. We
only could get to six. That was a seven. We
didn't get to that one. Uh, you know, I'm down
with some neppie. I'm not down on you know. I'm
down with a little neppie. I keep telling g you're
oldest twenty years from now, you bought you. You are
running Costco, your dream job, and she just comes out
of school and you all need a new person to
(13:20):
be a store inventory manager whatever, a.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
New greeter up front. Yeah, my first job ever. Terrible team.
I'm team Nephi.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
All right, Well, you know what I'm thinking about the
next time you take off, I'm gonna have my nephew
come in from Virginia.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Listen, he better bring it.
Speaker 4 (13:35):

I like that.

I talk about him at my other job because the
other guy they're similar, like to just you all boarded

That's about the only compliment. That's it for the rest
of twenty two. All right, eight seven, seven ninety nine.
On Fox Lane Kiffin Switch Lane Kiffin, Lane always dipping.
Old miss said get out, But then they kept Charlie
(16:44):
Whitse junior to offensive coordinator. Should they have? Are they
messing it up? So they kept Lane kiffing. Let him coach,
I say, get out of here. We're moving on. Rob
says he might as well stay.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
What say you?
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Who we got all Shan and Sacramento. You on the
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
What's up? Sewan?
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Yo?
Speaker 9 (17:01):
My uncle?
Speaker 10 (17:02):
Matter of fact, it's your Hall of Famer from another mother.
Speaker 6 (17:06):
Cousin, Kelsey and my brother find.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
The board man.
Speaker 10 (17:09):
Don't forget the fact that Alex back there looking tight,
shredded with the beautiful hair. Just an outstanding addition to
any team.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Man.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
You know what, when I go into the other studio
something I just pulled this hair, I just feel like
I want to just pull it's a rock.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
I feel like he got somebody that already can do that.
Speaker 10 (17:27):
That needs to be one of the buttons. Oh god,
oh god, real quick on this though, Man, I get
where you're coming from. Cousin, Kelvy. Look, man, I'm more
on rob team mostly because we see how to face
these coaches are. Let my man get a time as
a head coach. Maybe if he wins this national championship,
not only will that sway him to stay the head
(17:49):
coach at Old Miss, but keep a lot of those
students there. Because as great as it sounds going to LSU,
if you could win an Old Miss, something that nobody
thought you could do, including your former boss, why not
stick around?
Speaker 7 (18:01):
Man?
Speaker 10 (18:01):
So I say, keep him around, keep as many of
those coordinators in the building as you can. And just
like your old lady trying to leave you, as long
as you keep her in that door, you keep her
another day, baby, right right, And.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Just to clarify, the defensive coordinator is good, as is
the head coach.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
They've already named him interim. No, they named him.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
He's staying permanent, permanent, not even they've named him coach
because they wanted to stick around and they got the
offensive coordinator and sticking around for this game.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
And then he's bolting uh to go to l s
U with Lane k.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Maybe maybe he sticks around to uh Chewan's point. Maybe
maybe Charlie Whitse junior. They look in his eye the
wrun a national championship. It looks like Friday Night Lights,
the movie Varsity Blues or something. And he's just like,
I'm staying, man, I'm staying about Ben and Wichita. You're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Ben?
Speaker 2 (18:50):
How are you.
Speaker 11 (18:53):
Not too bad to just driving home? Uh just wanted
to say, now the Layne kissing. I do feel for
old miss a little. But then at the same time,
it's like, say, you have a girlfriend and you know
her history and you know she enjoys other men behind
(19:13):
her previous spouse is back. He can't be too surprised
that he's leaving.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
I agree with that he's.
Speaker 11 (19:19):
Showing his cards.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
I've always said that that's like uh, and thanks for
the call, like marrying an alcoholic and then you're surprised
that they want to stop at the liquor store on
the way home, like like what what?
Speaker 2 (19:31):
What did you know? Baby? I'm of a raising gambler,
But we can do this. What do you mean? You're
in Vegas? Just put everything one, no doubt about it.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Hey, Thomas in New Mexico, you're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
What's up, Thomas?
Speaker 9 (19:45):
Hey, you're doing something I've seen. Basically, it's anybody who
does anything wherever they go in and get a job,
and they get a contract and everything, they don't do anything.
What it should be done is it should be shut up.
Is a yearly contract for everybody. Now, if you going
during that year, you're performing and you do good stuff,
here goes up. You get more passes, everything, you get
(20:08):
a bonus pro rated on those things. But nobody does
have Okay.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Let me say this to you, Tomas.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
They used to do that, and the owners were the
ones who wanted to control costs. So instead of doing that,
they gave you multi year deals where they have a fix.
They know you signed a three year, thirty million dollar deal.
I know what my costs are for the next three years.
If you want a championship, you want fifteen, and now
(20:35):
I'm paying forty five. I got you in my control
for three years or whatever. That's why we brought up
Walter Auston, the longtime Dodger manager who signed twenty four
one year cot.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Back in that day, they did do that.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
And you had to come in every day and make
a case for your salary.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
You know who else had to do that? The athletes
up until the last four or five years. Remember, we
all thought when you heard somebody, yeah, man got a
scholarship to go play football at Old Miss, we.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Thought it was four years. It was year by year.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Most people didn't know that until they kind of got
exposed over the last you know, five, six, seven, no
full ride and they can pull the plug whenever they want,
so a lot of that slowly changed. But yeah, it
was historically when you heard somebody got a scholarship, you thought,
all four years agoing to Michigan, Ohio, say whatever, year
by year, you better do right?
Speaker 5 (21:23):
All right?
Speaker 1 (21:24):
We got Ephraim on the away right now, Steven Seger,
get your set on with Trinda Hastyve.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
It is The Odd Couple, Rob and Kelvin on a
trash Talking Tuesday. We'll do that next hour right now,
joined by Ephras Salim, former NFL offensive line Fox Sports
Radio Era Salim on X What I.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Mean, what's up?
Speaker 5 (21:53):
Brothers? Are all doing? Good? Man?
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Happy post Thanksgiving? I hope it was good for you
and the fam.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
A happy post things giving to you too?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yeah, man, you know, talk to you then so you know,
I'm just saying it. Uh, you want to you want to?
You want to go Lane Kiffin real quick then before
we get into it, just your thought on that just
Lane Kiffin dipping.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
You call it change in Lane Kiffin. That's just that.
It is what it is.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Yeah, it is, But I just don't like it it
optically in terms of you know, for the kids, they're
in the you know, college football playoffs, what they thrive
for is their goal. He can't even be a part
of it. It's not so much about him. It's about
the kids, right, The kids that brought into a system
that believed in him, that followed him up until this point,
(22:33):
and now you know they're listening to another voice moving forward.
I don't like that aspect of it. I don't like
the way college football can can come and get a
coach before he's done with what he's actually been hired
and paid to do. Here's an opportunity for them to
win the national championship. What if they for whatever reason,
going to win the national championship right and he's at
(22:56):
home or in l s.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
U looking like Boo boo the fool.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
And that's what I was saying yesterday was you know,
complete the task, like and if you were to win
a Natty whatever, there's gonna be a great job. Something
else will be open. I just felt like, you've built
the program. Your hope, LSU is gonna be right now
because you guys are playing very well at Old Miss.
Just finish the job. That's that was the whole point
to try to get a chance on that job.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
You should have told LSU, look, I want to take
the job, but I'm gonna wait t after we do.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
What are we doing?
Speaker 6 (23:22):
Give me a month?
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (23:24):
I would imagine if that's their guy.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
They would have been okay with that could be wrong,
but it seemed like they would have.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
Yeah. It's just that just rubs me wrong.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
And again, I'm thinking about the student athletes, the guys
that have bought into his system, that have done everything
he's asked him to do, that they've gotten him and
the school in the position to do something that old
miss hasn't done. And I just think it's it's kind
of a bush league for him to just be like,
all right, well.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
That's it, guys.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Hey from I'm going to Detroit for the big almost
playoff game the Lions and Cowboys on Thursday night. Yeshball,
that's a huge game. I like the Cowboys in that game,
I really do. But just tell me about where the
Lions are, where they're headed and the Cowboys, because to me,
(24:19):
the Cowboys with their offense and where they are now,
they seem like they got something going.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
Yeah they do. I think, you know, the momentum has shifted.
The momentum has shifted, and I think I think I
don't know who the Detroit Lions are. I really don't.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
That's a good question right there. I think that's a
good question.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
You know, are there a running team. Are there passing team? Defensively?
Speaker 6 (24:48):
They've completely shifted to what they have been and what
they you know, what they've been built on. Is it
the two coordinators that are no longer there? Does that
have something to do with it? But right now one
team is ascending and one team is decending.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Let me say this real quickie from the piggyback on that,
uh Dan gamble and just I get it. He made
his name by going forward and not kicking the field goals.
It's it's like like at some point you become a
characterure of yourself, you know what I mean, and you
feel like I got to do it because that's my
brand or that's what I did in the beginning. At
(25:24):
some point, doesn't somebody have to shake him to say, dude,
can you kick the field goals once in a while?
Speaker 5 (25:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (25:32):
Like I said this last week, I said, at a
certain point, that type of blake calling and mismanagement will
get you fired. And yet Dan Campbell was exactly what
they needed to bring that organization from where it was
(25:53):
and it wasn't in a good place.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
You know that.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
Both of you guys know that, and just it hadn't
been in a good place, and you know, it took
a biten a kneecaps guy. It took a you know,
we're gonna punch him in them off and get up
and punch him in them off again. It took for
we're going to break a few rules to propel us forward.
But when they missed out on going to the super
(26:16):
Bowl because he decided two years ago that he didn't
want to take the points and they lose that game
but to San Francisco by three points, and then the
next year come and double down on that same behavior.
And now this year we're seeing them not getting the
outcomes that they normally would when they make decisions like that.
A certain point no matter, if you can't get past
(26:40):
a certain point, then maybe it's time for a new voice.
Those type of decisions will get you fired. I know
how crazy and weird that is to say about, you know,
someone who's changed the organization. But it's too much, brother, like,
I can't believe he's doing that.
Speaker 9 (26:54):
I take the point.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Listen, you know I watched those in agony because again
they worked too hard to get down there, to not
get points, to take it three or or the opposite,
to not punt it and they put the other team
right there at their you know, at the Lions thirty five.
So yeah, at a certain point you got to switch
it up. Is Ephrom salam On with the odd couple,
Robin Kelvin on the trash talking Tuesday, I'm gonna go
to another game because you just you spoke of those
(27:16):
types of things get you fired? Does going you know,
six seven eight years without winning a playoff game get
you fired? If you're Mike Tomlin, even though you never
go below five hundred for the time has come to me? Yeah,
Rob and I both agreed that it can just be
a mutual. Look, man, we had a great run. We're
moving away. Pardon ways, you go our separate ways?
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Where are you?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Because again he's got a shot to not you know,
he had to go above five hundred a game.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
He's got five hundred actually time for the leading in
the division as bad as it's been.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Got a big game against the Ravens. So just two
parts of a the game itself, and then also just Tomlin.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
Look, I love Mike Tomlin. I think he's been a
tremendous force in this league. I also understand that I'm
a realist. The one thing I do know is the
Pittsburgh Steelers have never fired a head coach. They've only
had three fifty four years. Mike Tomlin is the third.
(28:13):
So for us, no matter how we feel about Mike
Tumblin and what we think should be done, they don't
put the rooms from it. They are going. They look
they have set a precedent and a standard and as
long as he's not been under fire, he's made the playoffs.
They haven't won a playoff game. Say, for whatever reason,
(28:35):
they win the last you know, three out of the
last for five games or whatever, and they end up
winning that division because that division is clearly up in
the air, nobody wants it. And they win that division,
they get a home playoff game, and if they lose
that game, you fire them, you can, you can you
fire him after that? After winning the division and having
(28:55):
a home playoff.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Somebody got to win a toilet ball. It seems like
the eighteen you know, eighteen years a long time.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
It's a long time.
Speaker 6 (29:05):
It just with chucking o there.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
How long was twenty two fourteen with Bull Coward there
like right, fourteen fourteen?
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah, it is, it is amazing.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Maybe the question is, is Mike Tomlin ready to move on.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
That's why I said, it's mutual to me, like maybe maybe.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
Maybe he wants to move on, Maybe he wants to
step away from coaching for a year, do some TV,
which I think he'll be phenomenal. I think he'll be
great on television. Maybe he steps away from what one
or two years and then it comes back. But they're
not going to make the move. I don't believe they will,
especially the whole, their whole, everything is still on the line.
(29:42):
They have lost nothing in terms of their their their
yearly goals and winning the Vision and making the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
It's still right there.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
The last thing I know, everybody was ready to crown
Matthew Stafford as the MVP. That's shifted right now, Rob
g Right, that's shifted now. As far as the odds
on favorite, he had a bad game. Who's your m
v p uh? You know at this point, I mean,
obviously it's how you finish. We've seen things flip in
(30:14):
the last five games.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
And one we talk about always was with Patrick Mahomes. No, no, no,
josh Oh Sam no black Perty you're talking about Rock.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
Party was leading going into that last game. You remember
that Christmas Night Baltimorrow. But where are you on this
one at this point, with about five games to go.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
I think the Rams and Matthew Stafford they ran into
a bus saw that knows.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
The enigma that is.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
The Carolina Panthers. No one knows who that team is
or what that team is. I don't know if they do,
but what they've done is they've shown propensity to make
a lot of people feel stupid, right, yeah, seven and.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Six, seven and like out of nowhere, yeah, out of nowhere.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
And so I'm not going to hold that against Matthew Stafford.
Of course, you can't turn the ball over like that.
Two picks and then in the game. They were still
in the game at that point. He's had a phenomenal season.
The Rams have had a phenomenal season. So for me,
someone that season and that good one game doesn't make
or break your MVP race, but it is important to
(31:23):
see how everything finishes up moving down the stretch.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah, obviously Drake May made a nice claim last night,
so Ves, but you know they've been switching that up.
It's been about four or five different people. Patrick Mahons
about three four weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I'm all into Drake May. Now that's all I want
you to know.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
Yeah, he's good.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
I can't believe you feil for that. Stop it good. No,
he's good. But Rob ain't all into Drake May Did
you know that?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
It's a rob if appreciate it, man, Thank you so
much for do again next week.
Speaker 5 (31:55):
Brother, all right, appreciate your brother.
Speaker 1 (31:56):

Speaker 2 (32:49):
How you doing all right? Did I knew that? I?
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Did I knew that? I did do that? What's you do?
Two and one? Last night? Nice? Nice? Ninety and seventy nine?
Look at that a little space? What's that? No? Just
mind the gap. Mind the gap.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yes, over there in London when you go there, and
you'll mind the gap.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Okay, in London, yet you're not only on my way
to like Italy or something.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
But that that's for whatever reason.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Like the New York City subways are close together, in
London they're not, so you could actually step in between
the platform so that you're here.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Mind the gap. Mind keep that in mind when I
get out there. Yes, you need to go to London.
People love it or hate it. There's no in between
for most people. That bad food, great place. All right,
here we go, best bet.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
I'm taking the New York Knickerbockers minus one and a half.
They're in Boston taking on the Celtics. I got Memphis
plus five and a half in San Antonio taking on
the Spurs. Okay, and man no. Zion Williamson with the
Pelicans are already three and eighteen to start, bad start
injuries already I just this guy cannot stay healthy. But
(34:02):
I'm gonna take Minnesota plus I mean minus twelve and
a half in New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I just I don't know what to do.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Minnesota minus twelve and a half in New Orleans, Memphis
plus five and a half in San Antonio, and again
the Knicks minus one and a half. There are the
road favorites in Beantown. And remember Calvin that I'm not
telling you who to bet on. Oh, I'm telling you
who I bet on.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
That is that me? That's not I that Who is
that Jonas? That was Jonas? Was that Jonahs doing a LeVar? Yeah,
he's doing a rob doing it Steve.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
I ain't paying for that, Steve, Steve.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Was doing me. That was him saying because he knows
I don't pay for it. That sounded too much like inception.
Hold up, yeah, saw, I shoot? What what? I just
I heard it? But I moved on. I was being
an adult and Alex said, we're not being adults. I
want you got oh god, yeah, oh god. We just
talked about this, didn't we.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Do you know I'm done with the Christmas stuff, all done,
very very happy.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
What do you mean like getting Christmas gifts? Yeah, you've
already taken care of it. The all been shipped everything.
Oh yeah, you're not playing around. I don't play around
saber second.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Well, tire rack player, that might be the tyreck player
today that you don'e already took care of that.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
You ain't playing around.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
The funk left right toward Marcus Jones, he's under it
between the hash marks at the sixth he runs it
left to the fifteen, chu the twenty.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
It celebrates thirty thirty five, forty.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Beating Gilly off the hit along the near side, forty
to the three corkus Jones gone.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
To the twenty to the ten dude house pitch.
Speaker 1 (35:39):

(36:01):
Did you when you talk about the gifts, are you
like a all year round gift finder, like, Oh, grab it?
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Now even if it's june'mna just grab it. I know
they look forward.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
They wanted that it could be January fourth and I'm
buying Christmas cakes. But but I feel thissike, there's there's
some sense of relief for me because I think I
told you I'm done with buying gift.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Got it down like forever. Yeah, you mean like forever
going forward.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Like if I want to buy like a relative or
somebody or my nephew or my niece or their kids something,
it's probably at this point in my life, just a
gift card of money. Like I don't think that's I'm
just this was like the last year of the actual gifts.
I understand. It's so like it's just it's not personal
(36:48):
when you just give. You do want to open up, right,
like a kid as much as he wants to go
your dollars.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
They don't know the car doesn't trust me that, you know, daughters,
you know, I just had to set a team different
birthdays and a couple of the gifts were cars, and
I'm like.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
Oh yeah, I'm oh night.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
They're like hey, they and how to explain it to
like especially my four year old, this money so like
you can go to the store.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Whatever you want, Okay, nothing, but they want something. They
want to give to open up. And that's what I'm saying.
But I've been doing.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
I'm just I'm just I'm over.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Uncle Bobby has earned it. You've done enough. You didn't
bought cars, you didn't pay that, you don't you didn't
get enough.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Yeah, I want to.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
I'd rather I'm gonna start giving them like restaurants, go
out and go get a nice meal.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
And especially if they're older. Yeah, yeah, yeah, my niece
and nephew, I'm still getting them gifts. They're in their thirties.
That that's odd. Now that might be what you gotta
go or something. When do you stop giving?
Speaker 4 (37:43):
You stop giving the gifts to your nieces or nephews
and the kids, it's different, But these are my I
mean they're in their thirties.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
I still get them a Birthday present, and I still
get them a Christmas gift.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
I do.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
I don't have that many nieces and that on you
just gave me my Instagram question of the day. When
do you stop?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, because that's a good that's fair point one one end.
They're still alive, you love them, so why stop the
other end. Hey, Hey, hey, get while I'm here. That's it,
you know, I figure i'll be off the hook once
in a while.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
I'm just so bobby and started. It can't stop now
