to Daniel Jones, and maybe some other New York related
sports stuff going on. Sean King will be down with
the King in our number two. The former NFL quarterback
and Fox Sports Radio NFL analyst and at the third
hour Brad Turner from the l A time, my guy.
That's right, we'll do some NBA stuff. He's covering its
(02:57):
came the night.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
No, he's covering up the Paris like every two months
or something like that.
Speaker 7 (03:02):
Also NFL pigskin pickoff.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
And of course last call in the final hour of
your chance to check back in in case you weren't

Patrick is in for Rob. Rob G is back coming up?
What Tuesday and today? Yep, but the new Batty g
is back. Of course, Alex is our engineer and Alex boy,
he will be digging deep in the crates on a
funky flashback Friday, and Rob, that's why you're dusty.
Speaker 8 (03:38):
Right, thought like what you're talking about? Oh too soon, man.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Steve de Seger's at the anchor desk can keep us
updated throughout the program. And of course Elijah is our
social media guru. He's the best in the business. So
we are in full effect on this funky flashback Friday.
Let's start here where you want to start. So Daniel
Jones asked, Giants, you know, release me. That's why he
had to like press her yesterday and talk to the
(04:05):
fans and answer questions from me. He knew it was
all over that they weren't gonna let him practice or
do anything because they didn't want him to get hurt.
Because he can't be hurt otherwise that money's gonna kick in,
so you gotta make sure he doesn't get hurt. That's
why people don't understand how he went from starting to
third string, right is because they can't allow him to
get hurt in any fashion otherwise, I think twenty three
(04:28):
million of it kicks in is guaranteed. So they're like
gotta put some Cottonell around him and let him go
on his way.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Get that got put him in the freezer or something
that you can't He can't even walk downstairs like I did,
miss around and get hurt.
Speaker 7 (04:42):
But I'm gonna stay here. Let me start.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
And I know there's this sympathetic tour going on in
NFL America.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
Oh poor Daniel Jones. Look at what the Giants have
done to him. It's so terrible. I can't believe. Oh
my god, stop it.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Daniel Jones is a bad NFL quarterback. There's no other
way to describe him, to write it down, to make
some sort of you know, nice cherry at whipped cream
topping on what he's done in his body of work. Okay,
I'm sorry. He's a bad NFL quarterback. And the Giants
(05:22):
made a mistake. They made a mistake. They let say
Kwan Barkley go. They paid Daniel Jones like he was
some franchise quarterback and they made a mistake. And here's
the other thing. He doesn't deserve another opportunity. I'm dead
serious as a starting quarterback. I'm not saying it's not
(05:43):
a place for him in the NFL as you know,
a backup, a third street. Whatever you want to do,
a quarterback coach, whatever you want to do. But Daniel
Jones should not, under any circumstance be holding a football
in the NFL unless he's gonna pay back that forty
(06:03):
million dollars minus taxes. Okay, here's what Daniel Jones has
done with his tenure with the Giants.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
The Mannings vouch for him, uh.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Am, I right, The quarterback family vouch for him the Giants,
Brian dave Ball, the Giants coach who was the miracle
worker with Josh Allen his rep as a quarterback whisperer
or down up that he didn't do anything with him.
Speaker 7 (06:33):
He could not fix Daniel Jones.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
So I don't know, he might have to take quarterback
whisperer off of his resume because it didn't work. And
the worst part is Daniel Jones probably cost caused a
international incident with all the waists that went on because
(06:58):
even poor kids at Honduras refused to wear his jersey.
That's how bad Daniel Jones has been. You know how
they get rid.
Speaker 7 (07:05):
Of all that?
Speaker 6 (07:05):
They you know, they send it off. Who's gonna win
the Super Bowl the other game?
Speaker 7 (07:09):
Right, yes?
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Because that Patriots nineteen and oh stuff that all went
to a third world nation.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
This is so crazy that when I'm serious around this
country world walking around with the wrong stuff on.
Speaker 7 (07:20):
It's some people right there, think about that because you
can't sell it.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
No, it's the teens right now with a Dallas Mavericks
NBA World Championship shirt on right now, no doubt.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
Oh man, But I'm I'm dead, seriously, and here's my
last point U huh. They gave him six shit, they
gave him his whole chance to prove everybody wrong for
his potential. You could go take a look. Zach Wilson
didn't get that. Nope, Sam Donald didn't get that. Uh,
(07:48):
Gino Smith didn't get that. You could go on and on,
not six years and got cashed out. They didn't get
those opportunities. Now, they got chances, you know, like Sam
Donald would three or four teams and then he got
a chance because there was an injury in Minnesota.
Speaker 7 (08:03):
He didn't get it right off the back.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
He didn't get it right off the back. The Jets
didn't say, oh no, we're riding this out for six years.
We're gonna see if we can develop you into a quarterback.
So Daniel Jones got more than enough. And it was
I think off the strength of the Mannings right, who
had the giant's ear, who allowed him to get a
six years and the big contract.
Speaker 6 (08:24):
Yeah, so there's multiple things to break it down, right now,
Let's start with nobody was checking for Daniel Jones like that.
Nobody was looking at him in college and saying he
was supposed to be this franchise savior like that, so
they gave someone a chance.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
Who was you know, it was a reach.
Speaker 6 (08:43):
You don't like to say it was a stretch Armstrong,
it was a Tayshawn Prince, Long Arms, Rondo, Rachhon Rondo, Arms,
whoever you want to talk about. It was a long
reach to go get Daniel Jones in the first place.
And here's where with commonplace, you're not gonna have this
conversation all the time prior before the fall. It's okay
that you got him for whatever reasons. The Manning said
they saw something. Other people said they saw something. You
(09:06):
took him. But you don't have to ride that train
for six years. You don't have to stay on that
train for six years. You move on from that train
at a certain point you say this isn't it.
Speaker 7 (09:17):
He's not cutting it.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
And the idea that we have to feel sorry for
him when he got more years than so many other people,
as you just mentioned, and if we're talking about people
that we're gonna feel sorry for somebody who was twenty
four forty four and one is not someone I'm gonna
feel sorry for someone who was given the keys to
the franchise, someone who also for whatever.
Speaker 7 (09:36):
Reasons, didn't work out. We didn't want to give them money.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
We let Sae Kwon Barkley go to remain with this
guy and keep him here and give him all the
opportunities to succeed. Now, I ain't mad for him for
fleecing them for that money. That's on them for thinking
he was a savior. That's on the Giants for taking
that chance on him. Nobody asked him to do that.
I asked, like Matt Flynn, how he fleees Seattle?
Speaker 7 (09:58):
My bad.
Speaker 6 (09:59):
I'm sorry, Patrick, I know you will see I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, but Matt Flynn. We ain't seen Matt Flynn
since I don't even know is he in America, don't
know where he is.
Speaker 7 (10:08):
I think he's on another planner right now, Kelvin, get
under the planet. You know he's looking at his bank
book right.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
I tell you that I'm not mad at these these
organizations that gave fleece for somebody who throws six touchdowns
against the Lions. Now he's Matt Flynn as a savior
for Daniel Jones, who has a solid season. Wasn't even
that great because everybody's focused on sain Kwon Barkley. He
had decent numbers and they feel like he's the one.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
And even that year that they beat Minnesota in the playoff,
he had fifteen touchdowns in seventeen That's.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
What I'm saying, like those were the number.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
They're acting as if he was just this dominant force
who deserved it. So kudos to him. He fleeced them.
He got money. I don't feel bad. If you ever
want to ask me somebody I feel bad for, it's
Colin Kaepernick, somebody who had performed, gotten to a super Bowl,
almost went again the I think the year before and
had some success fell off. Wasn't great, but he should
(10:58):
have been a backup in this league. But he he
got fleece. He got I mean he got at least he.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
Went to the Super Bowl, putting up numbers big and
big that big players.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
Was right there, past passing affairs, away from winning a
Super Bowl, and then all of a sudden, had a
you know, a conscious and has some things on his
heart and he gets ex out from the league. If
you want me to feel sorry for somebody, that's who
I'm gonna feel sorry for. Not Daniel Jones. Now good
luck to him. Hopefully he'll go off and flee. Somebody
else get his Matt flint on elsewhere, But you got
(11:29):
six years to do something with a major franchise in
a major city.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
The only time he didn't play was whinning was h Yeah,
and he always came back and got his job.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
Never had to really compete. There was no real person.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Danny de Vito's cousin wasn't really gonna question, you know,
putting any real challenge to him.
Speaker 7 (11:46):
So he had all the opportunities in the world. So
I don't feel bad for him. I wish him all
the best.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
But you got your chances, and in fact, more chances
than most people ever got.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
Yeah, I just I can't see it. I mean, everybody's like, oh,
maybe the Cowboys will sign him away. I'm like, my
really like like watching him makes you, as a GM
or a team president, want to run out and go,
oh my god, Daniel Jones is available. I'd rather have
Bornaby Jones.
Speaker 6 (12:14):
I'd rather have a person right now on one of
these TVs, Jameis Winston. If I'm gonna go get a
guy who, I'm like, man, I'm telling you, like, for instance,
you know how you just talking about dabble. I feel
like there's a quarterback coach that's like, man, let me
just get hold of Jamis.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Well, we've seen jam We seen him in Tampa. What
do you take those thirty interceptions? He led the league
in passing.
Speaker 7 (12:35):
But that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Like, So, I'm like, if anybody I'm feeling like, man
if if let's say I'm a quarterback, whisper man if
I'm you know, say Andy Reid.
Speaker 7 (12:42):
Wasn't with the Chiefs.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
Obviously with Patrick Mahomes, I'm like, man, I can do
something with him if I can get him the thirty
touchdowns and only ten interceptions, and yeah, so there's other
guys that I'm feeling like, all right, you know, if
I'm gonna do something with I'm gonna do something with him.
Speaker 7 (12:57):
All right.
Speaker 5 (12:57):
We want to hear from you. Eight seven seven ninety
night on Fox. It's real simple. Does he deserve another
opportunity somewhere? Will he be a starting quarterback? Can you
see another team making him a starting quarterback in the NFL?
Or is he done as a starting quarterback after those
miserable mostly miserable six years with the Giants?
Speaker 7 (13:19):
Where are you on Daniel Jones? Is there a place
for him?
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Or not.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
I don't think there is eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three
sixty nine.
Speaker 7 (13:30):
It is the odd.
Speaker 5 (13:31):

or at least should he shouldn't get it.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
He should not get his starting quarterback job in the NFL.
Speaker 6 (14:56):
He says, in the NFL, I ain't got thirty two quarterbacks.
He gonna get one eventually.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
What say you? A seven seven ninety nine on Fox?
Who we got.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Marshall and North Dakota. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Marsha Marshall?
Speaker 9 (15:09):
Hey guys, how's it going?
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Long time listener, listen to you guys every.
Speaker 9 (15:12):
Day after work.
Speaker 7 (15:14):
We appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Hey, I just got to say, no, there's no reality
in which Daniel Jones ever should be a starting quarterback
in the NFL again. But I think you got you guys,
said the Dallas Cowboys can sign him. Have you thought
about how much fun that would make the Thanksgiving Day
like Thanksgiving game?
Speaker 9 (15:33):
It does?
Speaker 7 (15:34):
People have been throwing that around. How petty would the
Cowboys be? We've seen that kind of floating around a
little bit.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
I wish I would if I if you're Jerry Jones,
all the mistakes and all the dumb things that have
been done, right, I mean, really, that's what the guy
you're gonna run out and go get so that he
could throw forward exceptions against the sorry Giants you lose again.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
Yeah, it needed to be somebody a little bit of
let's say it with Smith or Jamis Winston. Somebody's a
little bit more ten Derek Carr or something laying around.
I would be more inclined to that. All Right, we got.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
Greg in Seattle. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
What's up? Greg?
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Hey?
Speaker 9 (16:11):
Boys?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Love the show?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
You guys are you guys are awesome?
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Love it.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Appreciate you that. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Hey, Daniel Jones, look, six years, he's had his run.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
He should not get it. I agree with Rob should
not get another job.
Speaker 9 (16:24):
These are most careers in the NFLR six years, right, Yeah, Hey, Kelvin,
but he's not Matt putting in him.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
They're not fleecing anybody.
Speaker 9 (16:32):
The gms are doing it. It's like they've pulled up
magic tricks.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
They're giving him the money.
Speaker 9 (16:37):
It's on them.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
And I don't know about that.
Speaker 9 (16:39):
Man.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I'm from Seattle.
Speaker 9 (16:40):
Saw that put in place a choke, right.
Speaker 6 (16:44):
No, no, no, that's my point. I'm saying, if you
could pull off this heist and just say, hey, look
I know I ain't that good, but if you want
to throw me thirty forty million dollars, so be it.
But but Greg, you we just talked about this.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
You think about some of the quarterbacks, right, we just
mentioned this Marione, like Zach Wilson, and right and and
sim darnon, nothing gets six years.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Six man, look at your golf.
Speaker 7 (17:07):
Takes his team the super Bowl and ain't.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
Said way to get rid of him right out of here,
no doubt, No greater example than that you took us
to the super Bowl.
Speaker 7 (17:15):
Yeah, get up out of here.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
Get out eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We
have time to get some more calls in if you
want to chime in. But that's really my argument is
that you can't say they.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
Didn't give him a.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Shot, but they gave him a legitimate shot, and it
was off the strength of the manning. Do you know
that because you said it coming out of college.
Speaker 7 (17:35):
It wasn't like, oh my god that no one was
like Ray.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
I mean, yes, his name came up because we're gonna
draft six seven quarterbacks a draft, but the idea that
he had to be a top six, seven eight pick
was like, Okay, that was a reach, that was a stretch.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
We're talking about Daniel Jones. And again he got his shot.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
He got more shots than the song Alex Little John shots,
you know, shot, shot, shot.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
That's how he da on shots.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
Dave Jones got anytime somebody got hurt, he got hurt,
and he went down, came back another game, and then
he had threw three and or six forard that got
to come back.
Speaker 7 (18:05):
At some point they've sat down.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Bryce Young ain't got this as much a time yet, No,
And he seems to be more naturally gifted than Daniel Jones.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Mike and Boise, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Mike? You keep it up? Thank you appreciate
your Mike.
Speaker 9 (18:20):
I gotta get a prayer, please, don't let the raiders
go get you.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Already, get him out, Get him out.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Robber with you too. I know I'm with you, Mike.
Enough already we've seen enough of Daniel Jones.
Speaker 7 (18:35):
Haven't we, Yes, Sir, get him out, no doubt.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Appreciate I appreciate you, he said him and Rob g
praying Lord, please don't get no ideas to go get
Daniel Jones.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
I can resurrect his career.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
You know there's always a quarterback, I mean some coach
or some guru.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
No, you don't understand. He's gifted. He just needs to
be with me.
Speaker 9 (18:52):
Right.
Speaker 7 (18:52):
Well, that happened, but.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
That thanks for the call. That was Brian day Ball.
That was the whole idea of hiring him and get in.
It not work out as a coach, so that didn't
work out. Yeah, he'll be, he'll be for sure. He'll
be a backup at some point. That's just the you know,
somebody's gonna be.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
I mean Fitzpatrick, Fitzmagic had about a fifteen year career
just coming in and trying to save people and other McCown.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
McCown did that did it for a long time.
Speaker 6 (19:18):
There's always like a hand five backups who just get
these long ten, twelve, fifteen year careers.
Speaker 7 (19:23):
Just backing up.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
So next we're gonna go to New York and talk
to get the reaction of what the fans or that,
because you know, there's this sympathetic tour going around where about, uh.
Speaker 7 (19:33):
They did them dirty and they did him dirty and
Daniel Jones and all this, you know, just ridiculous. Russell Wilson,
God did dirty.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Rights talk about Denver, talk about God won a Super
Bowl win to two and.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
Y'all wanted me right yo. Yeah, So that that's one
we can talk about as well. So, yeah, Bobby Childs
in just a moment right now, he is mister Steve
the Sega.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
What's trending?
Speaker 10 (19:54):
Hello, gentlemen, We've got eight NBA games tonight, and guess
what Philadelphia does not have Paul George or Joe Well.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
What's new? Well that right and midseason form, Yeah, that's
right here. We are not yet Thanksgiving yet.
Speaker 10 (20:06):
Knee entry, oh MB not playing tonight, Paul George missing
at least a couple games with a hyper extended knee,
the same knee he hurt in the preseason. But by
the way, Philadelphia is leading late first quarter at home
against the Brooklyn Nets twenty six to eighteen. Wizards out
to a twenty to sixteen lead against the Celtics late
in the first quarter as Jason Tatum is one of
(20:26):
six shooting from the floor. While Philly has lost five
in a row, Washington's lost nine straight. About to start, Yes, Yes,
Golden State at New Orleans. Now the Warriors are eleven
and three. New Orleans still without Zion Williamson, and he
is out. Most most most exact thing we could say
is indefinitely. It's going to be a while with the
(20:47):
hamstring injury. College hoops and NHL going on. Just two
in the NHL, and we have three college football games,
including on Fox TV in a half an hour. Michigan
State hosts Purdue. There's a late night game on FS
one ten pm Eastern Number twenty four UNLV at San
Jose State. The New York Giants did release quarterback Daniel Jones,
agreeing to his request. The Giants are averaging under sixteen
(21:10):
points a game this year. Their record is two to
eight forty nine. Ers quarterback Brock Party is out this
weekend with a sore shoulder. Brandon Allen will start San
Francisco's at Green Bay Sunday on Fox TV. Perty was
only able to throw at the start of Thursday's practice
and then was shut down. This will be his first
miss game due to injury. San Francisco defensive end Nick
Bosa is out. Green Bay defensive back JayR Alexander out
(21:34):
again with a knee injury. Eagles wide receiver DeVante Smith
is out with a hamstring injury. He misspractice all week. Philadelphia,
which is won six straight plays Sunday nights at the
Rams and the Chargers home game against the Broncos. Week
sixteen has been flexed from a Sunday to a Thursday
night's December nineteenth, instead of Browns at Bengals that evening.
(21:54):
This is the first time an NFL game has ever
been flexed into Thursday night football. So to congratulate all
those fans in Los Angeles and Denver for that matter,
who were expecting to see a Sunday game and now
it's going to be five o'clock on a Thursday, right
before Christmas. Hey, way to go.
Speaker 7 (22:12):
Yeah, I'm feeling a little I don't know, Yeah, something
going on. You know what. They don't care about it.
Speaker 10 (22:16):
They do not care this for the thousandth time proves it.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Yeah, you can't just do that to people like they
bede their whole life around this. People or fans from
across other country or other states are coming in and
now it's like, hey boss, I need extra three four
days off now, Yeah, you're never gonna believe what just
happened to me.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
Here is Steven Sacred. Thank you so much. We appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
As always, we are broadcasting live from the tyrack dot
com studios and we're happy right now to be joined
by Bobby Childs, WBLS reporter out there in New York.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Long time front of mine by yeah, big yep.
Speaker 6 (22:49):
And we were just talking about, of course, what's happened
in New York where they release Daniel Jones.
Speaker 7 (22:54):
Bobby there, what Bappy Friday?
Speaker 9 (22:57):
Happy Friday brother.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
I know we thought we lost you, all right, Bobby.
I feel like there's some sympathy for Daniel Jones. All
the giants did them dirty? What are fans saying in
New York? Are they happy that they finally got rid
of Danny Dimes or Danny Penny's whatever you want to
call them, Danny Nichols.
Speaker 9 (23:17):
Well, fans, particularly in New York they run the gamut.
So yeah, they are fans that are like, finally, we're
glad that this experiment is over. Good Britance with you.
But at the same token, many of them are sympathetic
to him. They like him as the person and despise
them as the quarterback. And it's not unusual that that's
(23:40):
happening because the Giants when they drafted him, they drafted
him too high. In a very poor draft class that
year twenty nineteen. There were three quarterbacks that were drafted
in the first round, Tyler Murray who's doing quite right,
Jones and Hapkins who passed away. You had Drew Locke
(24:03):
in that draft as well, and Will griff So it
was not a good draft class. So he was drafted
too high. And part of that was the Giants felling
with what is called recency bias. They were looking for
their next Eli Manning and Daniel Jones's background the big, strong, fast,
good looking and a smart kid, and he was. He
(24:26):
was coached by Cutcliffe, who had coached Eli Manning and
bounch for him, and Dave Gettleman, the general manager at
the time. He fell for it. John Marraw fell for it.
So the six year experiment is over and the Giants
now got to figure out what they want to do.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
Bobby.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
I almost think they did it right. Then they're trying
to get the next Eli that got him. No, Bobby,
we had we argue about this all the time.
Speaker 7 (24:55):
He'll get in, doesn't know what he's talking about.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
When you win two m vps in the Super Bowl,
you have two signature throws.
Speaker 7 (25:02):
That's exactly. Hall of fame is a hall of shame. Bobby.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
We won't make you go through this. We do this
all the time. I was gonna ask you about this.
So now you just mentioned.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
Real quick, Bobby, is he a Hall of Famer to you?
Speaker 9 (25:15):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (25:15):
Or no?
Speaker 9 (25:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (25:17):
Okay, go ahead. See Bobby's a smart man. He've been
in New York too long. Yeah, and got to you, Bobby.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
So let me ask you this, Daniel Jones, bad situation.
Giants haven't had any you know, they don't have a
great team, per se.
Speaker 7 (25:31):
I haven't had that.
Speaker 6 (25:32):
Maybe that, maybe that that coach that you need or
is this just he's not good?
Speaker 7 (25:36):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (25:36):
Sometimes you can go to a bad situation, go somewhere
else and all of a sudden, we go, oh that
guy can play. You know Smith can actually play. It
was just the Jets. Oh you know, Sam Darnald looks
like Baker Mayfield. Still he can still sling. It is
this that or is he as bad as we think
he is?
Speaker 9 (25:50):
So if this was the test and it was a
multiple choice, my answer would be all.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
So.
Speaker 9 (25:57):
You know, when you look back at his college career,
the scouting reports where he was not very accurate and
he had trouble with his footwork, but he was big,
he was strong, he can run as seams. And my
assessment is what has happened being on the Giants, they
didn't have a good offensive line for a young quarterback.
(26:19):
So that scars you, right that that gives you, you know,
you start to see ghosts and shadows. And actually I
believe what he's going through right now is what is
used in the baseball part is as having the yips.
So he reads the fields, he knows the play, he
knows the defense, but he doesn't release the ball when
(26:39):
he's supposed to. That game against the Panthers, when they
ran the first drive, there was a third downplay Malik
Nighbors is opened by a good eight yards to get
the first down. No pressure on Jones and he threw
it over his head out of bounds. And in that
game there was a fleet flicker, not one, but two
(27:00):
receivers open and he doesn't throw the ball and he
gets sacked. So to me, he's been suffering from the
yips where he's not releasing the ball. He sees it,
but I don't know whether he was gun shy from
all those years. So you know, Dable and Shane, they
gave him a chance and now they saying the experiment over.
Speaker 7 (27:23):
He is.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
Bobby Chiles, WBLS reporter in New York, been covering the
Giants as well, joining the show Rob Parker, Kevin Washington.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
They couple, no doll, let's go to the Knicks and
call Anthony Towns. How's he fit in so far? And
Knick's got off to a kind of a bumpy start.
But it's pretty obvious that kat is a star. I mean,
look at the stats and the numbers. I mean, it's
been pretty incredible.
Speaker 9 (27:47):
Yeah, you know, but here's the thing about tibbs teams, right,
you go back over time. Tibbs is one of those
coaches who likes to build throughout the season. So his
teams most of the time get off the slow start.
That year he was with the Bulls when they won
sixty games, they started their first twenty games they were
(28:07):
twelve to eight. Right now the Knicks are nine and six,
and so you don't get he doesn't get teams off
to a fast start because they're learning. So that's what
they experience. Now, Kat is a fantastic player. He is
showing people who doubted his offensive craft, which is just
(28:28):
you know, I don't understand that because that's what he's
known for. The question still remains, how is he defensively?
But what he has done offensively fix he has opened
up the court. Og Anenobi is showing people he's more
than just a defensive specialist. His ability to cut to
the basket. He leaves the league in dunk shots because
(28:50):
he's just getting these open looks. And Jalen Brunton now
has figured out how to get people involved at the
same time getting the Scots.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
I want to ask shoot about Jalen Brunson because playing
next to Cat now everybody was like, oh, Jalen Brunson
MVP put a statue out in front of Madison Square Garden.
I mean playing with Cat is a little different now
when people look at those two absolutely, right, am I right? Like, like,
there's no way you're looking and thinking that Jalen Brunch
(29:20):
is better than cat.
Speaker 9 (29:23):
Absolutely he is not just basically from a size, right.
You know, when you got an athletic big, they will
always get more credit and praise than a small And
Jalen is not fast, a small slow guy out there,
but he's incredibly smart. He knows the game and he's clutched.
(29:44):
And what we're seeing now in Jalen's game is not
the score but the facilitator who can score. And that's
an evolution in his game that you know if you
didn't watch him when he was coming off the bench
in Dallas, he did some of that there, but then
he became this aura and now he doesn't have to
(30:05):
carry the offense like as the last year with the next.
Speaker 7 (30:08):
You ain't lying about slow Bobby.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
I mean it works, but boy, if he has to
just try and try and try to make his move sometimes,
let me ask you about this. We've been hitting up
all the sports with you got to go to the Yankees,
who obviously get to the World Series disappointed, but Juan
Soto has a fantastic year for them an MVP candidate.
Speaker 7 (30:26):
They how much they getting him?
Speaker 6 (30:28):
Again? Six hundred, seven hundred eight hundred stopped me somewhere,
Bobby nine, is he going to the Queens?
Speaker 7 (30:33):
He's going to queens? What's he doing?
Speaker 9 (30:36):
Well? Listen, we all wish we were waning soda right
to be twenty six years old and already have made
eighty two million dollars just playing professional baseball and looking
at a contract that's going to be somewhere between five
fifty and seven hundred million. Question is how many years
(31:01):
does he want to does he want to sign for?
Does he want this to be his last contract? So
does he go to fourteen years, which would put him
to forty years old? Or does he do something a
little less than that, and that dictates how much money
he's gonna ask for out there?
Speaker 7 (31:18):
All right, here is Bobby Childs Man.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
We thank you so much for joining me, brothery LA
A legendary station in New York, No doubt appreciate you
man's hobby.
Speaker 9 (31:27):
Thanksgiving you remember what fuck the world's best looking town?
Speaker 7 (31:31):
Thank you, brother wb LS.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
I'd be to b in there. I thought it was
gonna be some you know someth I'm gonna get something
black up in there.
Speaker 7 (31:39):

Speaker 6 (31:41):

thank you again for that. All right, make sure you
give him a lot open line underscore childs if you
want to give him a follow on Twitter. We got
Shekel City on the way. Ah chess poking out, all
right out. You might get to get this song ready,
We got Shekel City a.
Speaker 7 (31:57):
Little huh huh. That's coming up. And are we tired
of the Kelsey brothers? You are? I can't wait to
hear this all right, you here we're talking about.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
It is odd couple, Rod Parker Kevin Washington on a
fucking flashback Friday, Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Radio. It
is the odd couple Rob Parker Kevin Washington hanging at
with you on a funky flash back Friday.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
Hopefully, thank you for Friday. It's giving this right around
the corner. Yeah, it is right around the corner.
Speaker 6 (32:26):
That did not remind me of a turkey hot by
the turkey. No, you a jive turkey. That's what selly
right now? You're jof tucky. Good good, good good, look, Brandon,
I'm gonna give it another listen. Listening to the new

I bet you're excited about it. Sity trying to.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Gage one shekel city for Rob Parker's Daley Dicks against
the Splash.
Speaker 7 (33:20):
What you got right?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (33:22):
I got the football game. I know that was snowing
out there in the street. That's the only reason why
the steel was lost.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
The courting of pickings, Yeah yeah, what use it was
the REVELENTI was the refs in the weather, all right.
Speaker 11 (33:33):
Unfortunately I didn't go three and oh to get the
five hundred, but I did go to two and one,
so I'm now standing at sixty eight seventy and shoeless.
Speaker 7 (33:44):
Okay, alright, almost there.
Speaker 8 (33:46):
You had one shot, Rob No, I got one more
sixty nine sixty nine man six.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
I think he kept his job. God was looking out
as Alex.
Speaker 11 (33:53):
You know that.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
I'm trying to hold off because I don't know what
that intro was gonna be.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
Yes, all right, here we go tonight. Uh about the
kickoff or a start in about twelve minutes. Let's go here,
let's start. I got the Milwaukee Bucks that are surging, uh,
minus five and a.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
Half, almost like you at Sheekels that one day they'll
get the five hundred.
Speaker 5 (34:14):
Yeah it's six to nine, right, But I got the
Bucks minus five and a half at home hosting the
Pacers paces off to a rocky start, cheat.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
And they're supposed to be not that at Cleveland. Cavalier
is good, but they're supposed to be up there, like.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
Yeah, definitely, all right, So I got the Bucks. That's
the best bet. Minus five and a half. I'm gonna
Houston is really good eleven and five, but I'm gonna
take Portland plus eleven and a half on the road.
Not that Houston won't win, but they won't cover the
eleven and a half.
Speaker 7 (34:43):
That's a lot of points. And Portland is six and nine.
Cydrex rolling around his grave right at this start of
the season.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
And last, but not least, I'm gonna take the Kings
here in Los Angeles taking on the Clippers tonight, Kings
minus three and a half as a road favorite taking
on the Clippers.
Speaker 6 (34:59):
Who are you know that? Nine and seven? Without listen
James Harden, Let's give it for sure. See Alex see
what he does. He goes to the into it dough
one time. Now you want to be giving it up
for the Clippers, but you don't want to talk about
the Lakers. See with the Lakers, See what happened? Come on,
Anthony David, No, you hurt yourself one into it doom
(35:21):
game and now you're over.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
The body was You know, Austin Reeds cost a lot
of people money.
Speaker 7 (35:26):
I think he had to have ten points. He had
nine and missed two free throws.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
You needed one free throw for everybody to get their money,
and he didn't do it. All right, anyway, there you are,
and Kevin, remember one thing, what's that I'm not telling
you who to bet on.
Speaker 7 (35:41):
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 6 (35:43):
All right, well, there you have it, folks listening to
Rob getting close and close to five hundred.
Speaker 7 (35:48):
Hopefully the Bucks will follow suit.
Speaker 8 (35:49):
There.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
Hey, all right, So you know how when something's hot,
they kind of force feed it to you and it
just becomes everywhere. I gave you an example race recently,
Like who is I Spice? I don't know. She's just
somewhere torking everywhere. Next thing I know, she's at the
super Bowl hanging out with Taylor Swift. You're like, well,
how did that happen?
Speaker 7 (36:09):
Right?
Speaker 6 (36:10):
Because once something gets on, they force feeded to you
and Rob. I'm tired of the Kelsey brothers. And I
mean that in a respectful, respectful way, like meaning they've
had amazing careers. For sure, one is in the Hall
of Fame. One both could actually be in the Hall
of Fame. Super Bowl winners have all the respect for
the hard work they've done. But between all the commercials,
(36:32):
all the Taylor Swift, all the podcasts, now movies for
Travis Kelsey. Now ESPN has given Jason Kelsey a late
night show. Rob Parker, Now he's got a late night show,
and it's just like, all right, I'm kinda he's all
over obviously he does the NFL countdown and then getting
(36:52):
ready for Monday night football stuff. I'm Kelsey down, bro
moms everywhere they're doing the commercials.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Is no love.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
I love him, They've got a great career. But can
I get a little reprieve? I just need a little bit,
just a little bit of Kelsey. Wosai like woo say
I breathe. Okay, there's a lot of Travis Kelsey, Jason
Kelsey in my life right now, and I could use
a few months off. So now he's getting a late
night show. It's gonna air. They're gonna tape itto like
four or five fridays in a row. It's gonna air
(37:20):
throughout the rest remainder of the seat, like early toward
the end of the year, early next year. He's excited
about it. He's got his whole you know, playing with
it what it's gonna be. But for me, again, like
I said, I just feel like, all right, between all
the things we have to see because literally the one
is playing football, the other, of course was playing football,
and then you add in into the Taylor Swift and
you add in all these other things. I'm like, it's
(37:42):
not that I dislike them. I think they're both great.
I think they're hilarious. I wish them both the best,
but just a little bit, I just need a little bit.
Speaker 7 (37:50):
They are a lot Kelvin I will I will agree
with that.
Speaker 6 (37:53):
It's not their fault in the sense that this is
what the industry does. I had a guy worked with
and his wife is a big time Hollywood pr lady,
and one day she said, you give me two weeks
with anybody, I can make him famous. And now, first
of all, they deserve their fame. They're just completely separate.
Put that and this is an aside. So that's just
(38:14):
what happens when like you're the hot thing, you know,
That's just how they do. And so now between Jason
Kelsey throwing people's phone on the ground, Jason Kelsey not
wanting to sign autographs, Jason Kelsey all over ESPN, Jason
Kelsey not getting late, that's just like all right, I'm
kind of I might have had a little little little
bit of that. I think might be done by now.
Speaker 7 (38:34):
Yeah, definitely a little bit. I mean just I mean marketability,
they talking, they just stay there. It gets the money going.
You had enough for you still with it. I'm with you.
With you.
Speaker 6 (38:47):
You said you're with me. I know you're your microsoft
right now. I don't know what's going on, but nah,
I can't hear you Rob saying he's with me. We're
working on it right now. Just nod your head. I read,
go ahead silently.
Speaker 7 (38:57):
I got you.
Speaker 6 (38:58):
But yeah, it's just one of those things. But again
I'm not listening. What I'm also not mad at is
when are you stright? Now?
Speaker 7 (39:04):
I got you. No, I get it.
Speaker 5 (39:06):
You know, they're trying to capitalize on the fame of
your brother and Taylor Swift, and it might lead into
some ratings or whatever, but I'm with you and and anyway,
it just doesn't sound like even the show where it's
taped and all that. Like your Yah, it's gotta be
dynamic to be taped with sports. If there's any kind
of sports feel to it, you know, is this not?
(39:30):
If it's not a sports thing, then fine. But sports
is hard. Sports is hard to tape. Yeah, okay, because
stuff gets dated in an hour.
Speaker 7 (39:39):
And they're doing it Fridays.
Speaker 6 (39:40):
They're gonna tape every they're gonna tape it on it
Fridays kind of into the week for like five weeks straight.
Speaker 7 (39:46):
We'll see.
Speaker 6 (39:47):
Yeah, so I'm not mad at them. Get that money,
get all of it.
Speaker 7 (39:50):
I'm not mad at them.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
I'm not mad at them at all. But also I
don't mind a little break at all. Steelers, you know
the reason why they lost Rob Why, we'll tell you
about it.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
Fox Sports Radio,
