the football facility, and then all of a sudden they

calling a controversial relationship between Bill Belichick, the head coach,

become such a problem around North Carolina that she had
been banned from the university facilities.

detrimental Jordan can be, not just for North Carolina, but
builds legacy and reputation. And that had been out for

North Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina football facilities.

Balichick's personal brand outside of his responsibilities with the football program.

already You could see what's happening here that they need

guy to be interesting and have any kind of a pulse.

Your football you're a basketball school and football is secondary. Okay,
but you hired this guy, legendary coach. I just don't
believe that this is what they were looking for. It's
a bad look on the university. It's just bad all around.
And if I'm a parent of a recruit, he's a
legendary coach, he's dating who?

What really? Yeah, he's a leader of.

Men a grown man who's going around with a girl,
a young woman who could date one of the players.
That's the guy I'm gonna look up to and have
respect to.

Come on, it's the irony to me run so thick, Rob,
I mean, this is the guy who, again no distractions
were on the Cincinnati. This is the guy who ran
the show similar to a military I mean, we didn't
even know Tom Brady had a personality till he finally
left Tampa Bay, till he left up there in New England.
This is the guy who was big on no distractions football, football, football,

and yet here you are. This is why I'm bringing

these things, to set the standard for these things. Because
young guys as me, you, Sam and Rob Wall know,
when you're young, you're dumb and you're doing stupid things.
You're full of distractions, You're full of lack of focus.
So the guy I'm supposed to bring it in who

is issuing out these things, having people locked in on
these things, is now nothing but a distraction.

As she's running running and being his publicist. And again

you're allowed today who you want to date. But that
doesn't mean there aren't issues that a university can take
with this. Right, you can do that whatever you want,
but just know we have issues with that. Public can say, hey,
legally you can do what you want, but the public
opinion is, well that seems a little strange, but.

That but that's the reason that in these big contracts
with a lot of money, there are more clauses. I
was just explaining at the barbershop. People don't understand that legality, right,
It's just like, this is what you agree to when
you sign this million dollar contrast.

Set It's not legality, it's what we feel could be
morally wrong or set this organization or in this case,
or university back. And again it also may lead to
them having because he have questionable judgment.

Can we talk about Trevor Bauer, like teams are dying
for pitching. Okay, if you're to Baltimore or the teams
that are not, and they still just they rather not
because they don't rather not. We don't want you to
wear our uniform.

We'd rather not. You can pitch. Nobody saying you can't.
We'd rather not. And that's the thing.

Bill Belichick doesn't have to be a bad guy. She
doesn't have to be the worst girl in the world
or anything like that. It could just be that something
doesn't seem right to the university or to folks, or
to to as you know, board of directors at schools,
and they say, ah, we're dealing with a bunch of
young people, and our leader, who's in his seventies is
dating someone young. We could have parents who are concerned

on campus. It could just be a thing that we
don't want to have to deal with before he's his
team is second one snap.

I could already see like an issue like.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Players trying to hit on her, like you know, like
like the stuff that could start coming out and all
these kind.

Of stories and somebody, I'm not gonna point any pins.
I'm pointing at Rob Gi. It's shaking her head, probably
saying what's wrong with his day? He can day who
he wants today. He can can, he absolutely can. But
what can't happen is that she become the headlines because
if this were one of his players, they would think
about what disciplining him if he were having issues. If

one of the players was having issues and there was
drama surrounding relationships and all of that, there could be
potential punishment.

understand why that would be detrimental to them. So it's
not about can he legally date someone who can tell

guy who ran his entire organization on no distractions, focused

to that that she's doing too much on campus, too
involved with the team, or distracting Bill when you thought

there is one of those where there could be smoked
fire and that maybe she's not sitting in meetings at
the East well drawn up the plays or anything, but
could be something where they're like, we didn't sign.

But what I'm saying is, you're releasing a book right

girlfriend there and she's running things. All these things lead
to well, that doesn't seem like the tip the leader
we thought we were bringing, is all I'm saying. I

there's a lot of banking on it. You literally bankroll
with they're paying Bill Belichick because you're banking on players

becomes too much and it becomes a hassle and you
have to either let Bill go or he chooses to
just say, you know what, I'm just gonna move on
because this is a distraction. Now you're you're losing what

even if he was only going to be there for
a couple of years, just the fact that he was there,
his team is there. The guy's put in place that

judge him and Judge Otanian judge on a different plateau
from the rest and the season that Aaron Judge.

Numbers are outrageous, they really are. Like you about having

So, coming into Friday, Aaron Judge leads the majors, not
the a L, not the NL, not the Yankees, the
major leagues in batting average, on base percentage, slugging, hits,
home runs, RBI, and war. What's more impressive than even that,
which is incredible.

I was about to say the pace that he is
on right now.

He's currently just said if he continues where he's at
well in the season, batting over four hundred and hitting
over fifty home runs in a single season, which of
course has.

Never been done. But four hundred is a tall order.

But it just tells you the league average is like
two forty two, that's the league average. This guy's a slugger.
Sluggers don't hit for average. I think at one point,

was a Cy Young and a better hitter than Aaron Judge,
and I don't think it's any ifans or buzz, but
he's a really good number one starter and a really

really good hitter and rum producer, but he's Aaron Is
that at the top of a category.

I think what makes Otani intriguing obviously is the pitching,
but I think it's part of it is.

Are there a quartercourt nerd backs cornerbacks DB's who have

Maybe it was Champ Bailey, maybe it was Dareel Reeves

But there's always gonna be that intrigue, and now him
being on a team that's more visible, and the Dodgers
versus the Angels, him being in a team that the
only thing that matters is winning a World Series. At

this point, I think that those types of things making
him intriguing. Also not doing it at the rad he
did it last year, But him stealing bases is a
real factor because it's something you didn't necessarily.

why I say on this year. And the other thing
too so far, which you gotta be surprised to us
that ten home runs and fifteen RBI's now that shocking

You know what, he's on pace for sixty six.

They got to figure out the bottom of the lineup
for sure, because he's getting up there and it's like,

with one, two, three guys on and that is a
problem because what he's in.

hit ten home runs, not all of them are solo.
How many runs has he actually knocked in off the bases, like,

with solo. He only has fifteen RBIs, so say two
of them with two run home runs.

Maybe he has one opportunity where he's knocked in a
run with a running and scoring position.

But Aaron Judge being the best hitter is a couple
of reasons why it's again, it's impressive. First of all,

We haven't seen the peak of his hitting. You figure,
all right, right now, he's still going to be a quality,
one of the better bats. But for him to be
the best bats still going in an error where we

believe it's peed free least with him for the most part. Uh,
that's what makes it remarkable. Now. I also say this,
one of the things that you know that matter we're
seeing it right now because the NBA is in its
postseason is when you make your fame, and he hasn't
quite made his fame.

Otani didn't really well.

But I was telling Rob g this earlier. The difference
is four years, two years, four years, eight years, ten years.
We're gonna forget that, and we're just gonna remember all

But when you talk about all time gray if he doesn't,
because Barry Bonds are all time great and he you know,
the team almost beat the Angels, ye losing seven games

no numbers. He just didn't hit in a postseason. And
then he hit in that World Series and they lost anyway.
But I but that's some point I'm saying where Judge.
Judge is cemented Aaron Rodgers. He's gotta win, He's gotta win.

Guys as finally one and two, you're like, oh man,

So I think Aaron Judge is gonna need that to
do it as well. But he is an amazing bat.
You and I sit here night and night out, we
just just watch it. It's just remarkable. And you mentioned
it's double here, single here. He's just barely got the

I mean, he's just remarkable to see again a guy
that size, at this age again, thirty three, still doing
it and doing it at the highest level, not a
high level, the highest level is remarkable. So we're sitting
there and we're playing backyard sandlight ball, and you chose
Aaron Judge and our stuck with Otani. Obviously we're both happy,
but I do think Aaron Judge right now is a

better hitter. That's not crazy. That's not I don't think
that's like a you know, it's not like that's not
a wild take. Aaron Judge is incredible, I bet right now,
six or seven years straight now, and it's just even
more remarkable. And it's even remarkableen you look at the
numbers that he did, even at times when he has
these big slumps, and then if you still get the

end of the season, you look at the numbers like,
I'm sorry, when did he slump because these numbers don't
look like somebody had a two, three four week slump, right,
Because then you go, wait, minute, he's still he didn't
hit nothing.

a home run and if you take those two out,
he would have had seven.

doing it with the Yankees and marquee franchise. I'm glad

sport when you have New York the Yankees, the Dodgers specifically,

dating someone young. We could have parents who are concerned

what can't happen is that she become the headlines because
if this were one of his players, they would think

judge him and Judge Otanian judge on a different plateau
from the rest and the season that Aaron Judge.

So, coming into Friday, Aaron Judge leads the majors, not

major leagues in batting average, on base percentage, slugging, hits,
home runs, RBI, and war. What's more impressive than even that,
which is incredible.

I was about to say the pace that he is
on right now.

He's currently just said if he continues where he's at
well in the season, batting over four hundred and hitting
over fifty home runs in a single season, which of
course has.

Never been done. But four hundred is a tall order.

But it just tells you the league average is like
two forty two, that's the league average. This guy's a slugger.
Sluggers don't hit for average. I think at one point,
Rob J, I don't know where he is now. I've
looked lately. He was leading the league in singles too.
Now that justyp That just shows you he's hitting the
ball all he's spraying it all over all over the place.

He's not just he's shortened up, not just swinging for defences.
And trying to hit home runs, and you gotta start
to look at it like, like I get it. Otarni
being the dual threat is what people looked at. But
I don't know if I could pass up on a
Judge if I was putting together a team, because the
thing about Ol'tani is to me, as a hitter, he's

not better than Aaron Judge. And as a pitcher, he's
not a Cy Young. He's a number one maybe, but
not a right but not a Cy Young. If he
was a Cy Young and a better hitter than Aaron Judge,
and I don't think it's any ifans or buzz, but
he's a really good number one starter and a really

really good hitter and rum producer, but he's Aaron Is
that at the top of a category.

I think what makes Otani intriguing obviously is the pitching,
but I think it's part of it is.

It's kind of the Travis Hunter.

Are there a quartercourt nerd backs cornerbacks DB's who have
come out who may be a better dB than him?
Maybe it was Champ Bailey, maybe it was Dareel Reeves
coming out here like just pure corner that person is better,
But there's always gonna be that intrigue, and now him
being on a team that's more visible, and the Dodgers
versus the Angels, him being in a team that the
only thing that matters is winning a World Series. At

this point, I think that those types of things making
him intriguing. Also not doing it at the rad he
did it last year, But him stealing bases is a
real factor because it's something you didn't necessarily.

You know, he ain't gonna get fifty stone ba That's
why I say on this year. And the other thing
too so far, which you gotta be surprised to us
that ten home runs and fifteen RBI's now that shocking
to me. If he had bottom of wasting his time,
he had one hundred and thirty last year.

You know what, he's on pace for sixty six.

They got to figure out the bottom of the lineup
for sure, because he's getting up there and it's like,
all right, cool, you give up one.

That's one run. You know, that's one run if you
hit a home run. And he's not coming up there
with one, two, three guys on and that is a
problem because what he's in.

With runners and scoring position. I'm curious he's with opportunities.

No, I'm asking. I'm curious because because he's if he
hit ten home runs, not all of them are solo.
How many runs has he actually knocked in off the bases, like,
you know what I mean, because I doubt all ten
with solo. He only has fifteen RBIs, so say two
of them with two run home runs.

One was a three run home run.

Maybe he has one opportunity where he's knocked in a
run with a running and scoring position.

Because it can't be that many. That's well, say, well,
they would probably county home run if the guy was
on second or third, you know what I mean. Count
And that's the issue is that you feel like you're
wasting him.

But Aaron Judge being the best hitter is a couple
of reasons why it's again, it's impressive. First of all,
just to side dude six seven, that's that's impressed. And
he's thirty three and he's not slowing down. It's not
like we've seen he's actually getting back. That's what I'm saying.
We haven't seen the peak of his hitting. You figure,
all right, right now, he's still going to be a quality,
one of the better bats. But for him to be
the best bats still going in an error where we

believe it's peed free least with him for the most part. Uh,
that's what makes it remarkable. Now. I also say this,
one of the things that you know that matter we're
seeing it right now because the NBA is in its
postseason is when you make your fame, and he hasn't
quite made his fame.

That that that has to be there too, even though
Otani didn't really well.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
But I was telling Rob g this earlier. The difference
is four years, two years, four years, eight years, ten years.
We're gonna forget that, and we're just gonna remember all
Tani's team beat Judge's team in the world here we.

Won't remember exactly the bad average. Remember he got that win.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
But when you talk about all time gray if he doesn't,
because Barry Bonds are all time great and he you know,
the team almost beat the Angels, ye losing seven games
in two. But you know, and before that he had
no numbers. He just didn't hit in a postseason. And
then he hit in that World Series and they lost anyway.
But I but that's some point I'm saying where Judge.
Judge is cemented Aaron Rodgers. He's gotta win, He's gotta win.

A champ Aaron Rodgers esque. Where got I'm sorry, Alex
ry Reid.

Guys as finally one and two, you're like, oh man,
he doesn't he doesn't show up. He's not this, he's
not Derek Jeter. And he finally showed up. They won,
and he kind of was able to exercise those demons.
So I think Aaron Judge is gonna need that to
do it as well. But he is an amazing bat.
You and I sit here night and night out, we
just just watch it. It's just remarkable. And you mentioned
it's double here, single here. He's just barely got the

bat on it, but it still goes out the park.
I mean, he's just remarkable to see again a guy
that size, at this age again, thirty three, still doing
it and doing it at the highest level, not a
high level, the highest level is remarkable. So we're sitting
there and we're playing backyard sandlight ball, and you chose
Aaron Judge and our stuck with Otani. Obviously we're both happy,
but I do think Aaron Judge right now is a
(28:44):
better hitter. That's not crazy. That's not I don't think
that's like a you know, it's not like that's not
a wild take. Aaron Judge is incredible, I bet right now,
six or seven years straight now, and it's just even
more remarkable. And it's even remarkableen you look at the
numbers that he did, even at times when he has
these big slumps, and then if you still get the

end of the season, you look at the numbers like,
I'm sorry, when did he slump because these numbers don't
look like somebody had a two, three four week slump, right,
Because then you go, wait, minute, he's still he didn't
hit nothing.

Right, because remember last year there and then he had
the stretch where or he went like fifteen games without
a home run and if you take those two out,
he would have had seven.

That's what I mean. That's what makes it crazy to
see what he's doing. So he is, he's incredible. But
I'm glady, I'm glad he's doing it. I'm glad he's
doing it with the Yankees and marquee franchise. I'm glad
o Tony left and went to the Dodgers and had success.
Another Marquee franchise because I think it's good for the
sport when you have New York the Yankees, the Dodgers specifically,
not the Angels, and they're doing well and their star

be on models least?
