Rob and Kelvin debate whether the recent flurry of moves in Milwaukee  (waive-and-stretch Damian Lillard, sign Myles Turner) were made to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo happy or give him the ammunition to finally request a trade out of town, tell us why they don't blame the Indiana Pacers for punting on the upcoming season, and take a trip out to Shekel City for Rob's nightly bets. Plus, former NFL offensive lineman and FOX Sports Radio Weekend host Ephraim Salaam swings by to discuss why Lillard is the big winner today in Milwaukee, Darren Waller coming out of retirement to play for the Miami Dolphins, his expectations for the Pittsburgh Steelers this upcoming season, and much more!

the way, I hate that we're getting closer and closer

(03:58):
there you go.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
We have to go check some things. See if soccer
man working on the street, rob GC.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
He looked at the numbers right away to just see
if they went down since his appearance on Friday, Right,
rob G.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Robb we got all.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I didn't know robb G was that guy it is.
I didn't know robb Gi. I didn't know. I've only
known my numbers. Numbers, Yeah, she got he shucks, rob G. Man,
you know, working hard.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
That wasn't my biggest numbers. If we're being honest, I
want to get over sixty thousand one time?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
What was that was? I was I in No, it
was me and Chris. See rob G knows, he's like whenever.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
That's what That's what it is. The best part is
that you memorize these numbers. You guys, have you ever
had big numbers with me? We've done We've.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Done like something in the twenty five thirty.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Why do you remember that? That's just hilarious.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yes, numbers matter, it does. Size matters.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Numbers.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Well, you got some getting two hundred, three hundred to
see a twenty thousand out of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Wait, you didn't say thousand? No, are you kidding? One
day on Alex now he acting like Rob, you robs
are crazy. I've said this in the group chat too.
I say that y'all need to make sure you screenshot
save that in the group chat. And here I am
trying to be a team player out here in these streets,
y'all taking betts. I gotta fight with you too, Rob.

(05:13):
I mean, I gotta have your back, Rob G. Two man,
all right, They're gonna think I'm the violent cousin Alex,
but really is me defending them to at.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
The time the uh NBA moves happening, Rob G. Oh, yeah,
they're happening. They are Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Not sitting around, step away from your phone for two
minutes and you come back he went where he sorrd
for what?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Yeah, it was a big shakeup in Milwaukee.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
On Tuesday morning, ESPN Sean Sharanya reported that the Milwaukee
Bucks would be waving and stretching Damian Lillard, which means
that the one hundred and thirty million dollars they owe
him will now be paid out over five seasons.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Which means for the next five years.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Milwaukee's gonna be paying Dame twenty two and a half
million dollars on their books to not play for that.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
But what you don't know, Rob is twenty two million
and pistachio nuts.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
It's not cash though, right.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
And the reason they did that is because they wanted
to take his salary and be able to sign Indiana
Pacers a former Indiana Pacers center Miles Turner to a
four year, one hundred and seven million dollar contract, which means,
when you factor in the cap hold of Damian Lillard
plus the new salary for Miles Turner, the Milwaukee Bucks

(06:28):
are essentially paying about fifty million dollars a season to
replace Damian Lillard with Miles Turner.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
And here's the kicker.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
About an hour after this news went public, longtime NBA
insider Chris Haynes reporter on NBA TV that Giannis was
quote not pleased by Milwaukee's decision, and according to Haynes,
Yiannis quote just did not like the way it was
all handled.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, see, did you hear what he said? He didn't
say like, uh, I'm done, I'm not down with this move.
The way it was handled. That's so that when you
see Damien out a restaurant. I was like, man, I
can't believe they did that to you or whatever, Like,
if you buying any of this, that the Milwaukee Bucks
organization is doing something without Yannis knowing, I think you're
kid yourself.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Well, we're on the same page. I told this to Robgs.
We talked about the show earlier today. I said, this
is janis his way to go. See man, I tried.
I tried Milwaukee, I tried fans. I wasn't gonna leave.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
You know, I was trying to stick around, and you know,
I do me and Dame, Me and Demien, Me and
Damien could come back and that we could play and
we could do this.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
This is his way of saying, now, look, I don't
know what they're doing. They they're letting Dame go. I
didn't know we're making moves.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
We signed Miles Turner when we already signed Bobby Porter,
so we just signed the same guy twice.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
And I just think that this is his way of exiting.
I think he has been interested in exiting. I think
he obviously was wanted to see some moves that they
would make before he makes that final decision to ask
for a trade fully, and this makes it where it's
more palatable, easier to take spoonful of metas sugar with
the medicine to go down, easier for the fans, so
he can say, hey, I try, but look at the moves.
Even you would be mad if you were me to

(08:06):
the fans. And I think he's seeing also the stuff
that's happened around the NBA. He's seen the Rockets getting better,
he seeing the Nuggets getting better, he's seeing the Hawks
getting better. He's seeing some other teams make moves. And
I think he's like, I gotta get out of here.
This is my chance to do so because you mentioned it. Listen,
I disagree with you totally.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
I think you've totally misread this, okay, And I think
totally I think this is his way of being like
he has his hands on it.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (08:32):
This is getting rid of Dame. Yes, Damian Lillard in Milwaukee.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Was a bust.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
It didn't work. It didn't work from day one. It
never worked.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
And the whole idea that he's not gonna play next year,
having him on a team where he's coming back from
an injury and not playing, that's not gonna help Gianni's
The only way that they did this is because and
they're willing to eat all of this money for Yannis.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
He ain't going nowhere. He signed off.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
On this, this whole idea, it was handled. That's being
nice for Damian little and giving him some respect.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
He didn't say what are they doing? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
I wanted Dame to sit on the bench street clothes
next year next to me.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (09:20):
He ain't going nowhere.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
He never asked for a trade, And now these moves
that they've.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Made and gone out to do. His hands are on this.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
And what I mean by.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
This is he knows what Milwaukee is doing, which is
giving him a chance in an Eastern Conference where the
Celtics are banged up and have changed their team and
basically have punted for a year with taint them out,
and the Pacers are punting right with a year out,
so you got only the Knicks basically Philadelphia and Milwaukee

(09:54):
and saying, Yannis, we can retool this, and Cleveland, we
can retool the this. There's a chance here. But we
can't sit here and wait on Damian Lillard, who didn't
even click with you from day one when they got
Damian Lillard, people are like, oh my god, this is perfect?

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Am I right for people we're looking for?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Right?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
And it never worked.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Damian Lillard in Milwaukee was a broads that fell on
the ground, got hair on it and had no mustard
on it. It was grown, by the way. I just
had a bro we had on the news show today.
We had some grilled dudes come on and grilled up.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Do you know what I'm saying that that hair on it?
By the way, if I'm about to say, who's here,
if it's somebody in my house, one of my daughters
and my wife, we gotta keep eating. We gotta keep
eating now high on the food you eat with the family.
You know my wife's But come on, I mean, you
just I'm gonna leave that out there. You know what
I'm saying. I guess you go. I hear, I hear
what you're saying. The only the only thing I'm thinking

(10:56):
is the moves that they've made. Who Bobby portis is
a good player for them, So I'm not added them.
Resigning by reporters, but then turning around to me and
signing Myles Turner is kind of signing the same guy
a stretch for Bobby Porters does a little bit more.
They said, Males Turner's gonna play center for them, right,
But I'm saying, you got two big like you, Okay,
Brook Lopez lose leaves and you got another big who
stretches the floor. To me, they haven't made moves that

(11:17):
make me feel like this is a team we can
win with. To me, this is a team that this
team is better than last year. This is the fourth
fifth seed that and in East. Again, the East is
open in the sense that Boston was a BOHEMI that
we thought was gonna repeat this past season or have
a great shot to and then that just all spiraled out,
especially now with injuries. But I just think I'm not

(11:37):
wild by the team, and I think for me, I
thought this would be an exit point to say, all right,
now I can go be where I want to be
and have a shot to win it with whomever. Because
once you add Giannis to a good to already really
good team, now you're over the top. I thought this
would be this opportunity to go join you know, obviously,

(11:59):
if we want to say it's the Spurs or something
like that, kind of some teams that could kind of
make sense on paper.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
But that would have happened during this whole thing, because
you would need to know, like what you're doing like that,
Like if Giannis was really gonna be moved somewhere, I
thought it would have been, it would have happened by now.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
For the other team or for the Yeah, for the.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Other team, for the other team, and the Bucks too.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
If this, if this is gonna happen, you gotta You're
not gonna wait till free agencies over and you're you've
allocated money and now somebody's got to give up all
these players.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I would I assume that would be in the mix already.
And that's the thing I think Gianni's has the luxury
of doing is kind of waiting to see how this goes,
because now if he comes out and starts not asking him,
demanding for a trade, then you kind of force their hands.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
That's not even his makeup, and just that that's not
his makeup.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
So I hear you on that, and reports are that
he has not asked, right, But what I'm saying right
and could could have before, it's not his makeup to
cause a funk. I agree with that, but it's also
his ma it's also a point. It's no one's make
them until you finally have had enough, you know what
I mean, Like if.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
You're I think eating that much money when they're when
they're basically said, like seriously, like they could have said,
we're Milwaukee was we can't do this. We can't eat
one twelve. We gotta wait from the can you can
you hang on another year and wait.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
From the Okay?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
This is my point.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
And they're showing action, not just saying like the Celtics
just dismantled their team. The Pacers are like, we're not
paying a luxury tax. We're not going anywhere how stars out. Okay,
we're not doing that. I get that. And the and
the Bucks are like the East okay, the Knicks are there,
we don't know what the Sixers are right, and you

(13:41):
got Cleveland okay, like it's there to be taken and
let us go retool this.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
I think I give Milwaukee.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Credit not being playing the we're the small market, we
can't afford Okay, we can't pay.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
You all out at once. We spread it out, but
they're gonna give them money.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
And the only the only pushback out half to that though,
and we'll get later in the show on the more
the Dame side of it. But my point would be is,
in trying to do this, you threw a major allue
to Dame. You know, and again we'll talk a little
further about that. But in trying to if it's trying
to facilitate the happiness of Giannis, you threw a huge

(14:20):
to me, the bigger win it would be for Dame.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
And again what he can't play, but I mean, but
he's he's nulling void in Milwaukee.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
He can't.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
I'm not, you know what I mean something, So for
Giannis like having Dame around, like seriously, they did the
right thing.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
He can't play next year? What is the point, right?
But I'm in this again. We'll talk about then. Dame
to me is a massive winner in this. We'll talk
about that portion.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Well, you'll see if anybody wants him, I mean, if
he's getting money, So if he takes a minimum or something,
that's what I'm saying. Nobody's gonna go sign him to
and that's the that's the big end. But he got
his feelings hurt. You can't don't don't kid, I ain't
no way. He probably thought that they would do they'd
eat that much money.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
But that's the thing. We'll talk a little bit more about.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
It, all right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
I think Kelvin is crazy, But do you think the
moves of give Jannison out he's looking for or do
you think they did all this as a way of
keeping Janni's happy in Milwaukee like I do. We'll continue

(15:28):
that conversation next with you. It is the Odd Couple
on the trash Talking Tuesday right here on Fox Sports Radio.
And you know what to do, stick and.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Stay because Hallelujah, Uncle Rob is back in the US
of a. Yes, Sir, had too much crazy Kelvin and
Rob Rob.

iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
It is the Odd Couple Fox Sports Radio on the
Trash Talking Tuesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, achy knees, stiff
back joints, not cooperating. Some days your body is just
like nope. And on those days, luckily there's a leave
with just one pit pill. A leave provides up to
twelve hours of paying re leave so that you can

(16:49):
keep moving, use as directed, and you know, I'm gonna leave.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
God, I'm gonna totally.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Hey, I'm gonna just leave. I'm gonna leave that alone.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on file is a telephone number.
We're talking about Yannis and the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Where are you?

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Did they do this to keep Giannis and let everybody
know that they're serious about making this team good for him?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Or what they did is the ticket out for.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Take it out?

Speaker 3 (17:21):
We want to know Kelvin. We want to know who
we got Tony in DC. You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
What's up, Tony?

Speaker 6 (17:28):
What's good?

Speaker 8 (17:29):
Fellas? Always a pleasure. I'm with Rob on this one.
The Bucks got younger and more athletic returner, Plus they
resigned Trent Prince and the sign Porter, so I think
they're gonna make a move with Kuza's gonna be the
odd man out. Porters is still going to come off
the bench. And one thing you're forgetting, Kelvin Giannie is
the best player in the Eastern Conference, hands down. Okay,

(17:52):
So if you get to a playoff series, he's going
to be the best player in any playoff series in
the East.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, Tony, hold on,
because he was the best player in the East, allegedly
this past year.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
But he had a bad He had a bad number two.
Couldn't get bad. He could have had a bad number two.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
The last time I saw somebody hold on, work right,
I'm letting you go, Tony. The last time I saw
somebody who was unaniously the best in the East. He
was blowing by people and getting to the finals all
the time, and I want that from Giannis. I've said
that he is.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
I want more from Giannis needs to be in the
finals or right there regularly for how great he is.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I'm with you on that. It doesn't makes It doesn't
work like.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
That in basketball, well decade, yeah, hey, hey, Kelvin.

Speaker 8 (18:30):
Put that guy's teams in the East right now, they
would have never got past the Celtics, Knickers and s Okay,
So let's talk about that. But Giannis is the best
player in the East right now. He just lets get
to the playoffs. He has this to be the best
player four out of every seven games. I think he's
capable of doing that. Plus, Lillard's gonna be thirty six
when he's about to turn thirty five next week. I

(18:51):
think on a couple of weeks, he'll be thirty six
by the time he gets back on his seat. He
got to worry about the rehab.

Speaker 9 (18:57):
And all that.

Speaker 8 (18:58):
So the Buck, the Bucks did the right thing.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Okay, appreciate it. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Emmett uh in Olympia, Washington. You're on the on couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Emmett, Rob Parker and oh Me?

Speaker 1 (19:11):
I got up bro.

Speaker 10 (19:14):
Doing good, doing good? I just want to say, so
this isn't just a Damian Leward thing. I feel like
this whole Yannis going out and maybe leaving the Bucks
thing has been a thing for a couple of years now,
and it goes all the way back when they brought.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
In a guy who said that we should.

Speaker 10 (19:27):
Look at the three games that he won instead of
the three games that he blew Doc Rivers as their
head coach. I mean, that's like sign one that your
franchise isn't gonna do anything. And the second part is
what Miles Turner. I agree with what Kelvin is saying
because they are very similar players. Like Turner is like
a fifteen point game score. You know, he did have
he was fourth in the league in box, but other
than that, he was just a solid defender.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
I mean that numbers is pretty good.

Speaker 10 (19:51):
Yeah, that's like the standout there, but like defensive rating,
he didn't crack the top ten at all.

Speaker 8 (19:55):
I just looked it up before I talked.

Speaker 10 (19:57):
To Rob g so that I thought that was kind
of interest though. Fourth in the league. But I think
that Yann if he's going to ask out because like
fifteen points a game and y'all's got to score thirty
five a night, to be like on that level, because
I do think Kusm's gone to the way that everything's going.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I don't know, I don't think they need all right,
thanks for the more the saying to me, that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
I mean, thank you, Rod in the in Miami, you're
in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
What's up, Rod?

Speaker 9 (20:21):
What's up? I probably on this one, I feel like
the Bucks ditter into Yannis a little bit too much.
Is like they already know how to build a championship team,
then out of nowhere, Yannis just getting a fat mouse.
He just want to do a lot of stuff. And
it's it's actually been a complete disaster to think that

(20:43):
the only thing you guys could get is a golf
cup or whatever it's called, the NBA Cup. It's just
it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
But yeah, but you got it. They went out and
got Damian Lillard. Everybody in their uncle was happy about
it and all this and everybody, and you know what
turned out to be a bad brad.

Speaker 9 (21:01):
So I told you that we understood that, we understood
the greatness of Yannis that you got you put a
guy like Dame there. It's like it's almost guaranteed you
actually make the Easterncarcass finals. But you can't even beat
the pacers. I don't know. It's time to let go
and try to let Dame be happy, because it seemed
like he was happy.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
He about to be happy. We'll talk about that light happy.
He gonna be all he's gonna be playing with me.
And now he and the you know, went to the
w v A. Right, you gotta cut it out, all right.
We got Ephra Salam in just a moment right around
the corner. But first we got to talk to Steven
Sagad find I was trenny Steve.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Steven Sagre, thank you so much, appreciated. I couple Rob
and Kelvin on the trash talking Tuesday about an hour
and fifteen away from that to get ready for it
to be fun. Right now? You're you hear the music
our man. He from Salim, former NFL offensive line in
Fox Sports Radio Weekends. He from Salam on social media.
He from What's Up?

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Bro?

Speaker 6 (22:10):
What's happening to, brothers, y'all doing doing good?

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Man?

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Not good as some of these players in the NBA
like SGA my goodness to eighty five.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Wow, that's a whole bunch of money. We'll get to
that a little bit later on. But what do you
make of Damian Lillard supposed to be the thing Yiannis
needed a few years back when this happens, and it
just did not work out. To the tune of him
now being released, Jannis cord to Chris Haynes, he says,
Janni says that he didn't like the way it was handled.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
He didn't say he didn't like it. That's the thing that.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
That don't say he didn't like I'm saying he said
hand to handled.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Why they gave him one hundred and twelve million dollars
to go away? I don't even understand what what's the issue.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
That I told you this was his doing, that this
was his way to act like he cared.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
I don't think it is an issue. I think it's
the best thing that could have happened at Dame Lillard.
Just think about that. He gets to now rehab, not
worry about, you know, trying to come back earlier or
anything like that, and something that allowed him to have
the experience of something he's never had. He's a free
agent for the first time in his entire career and

(23:12):
he gets to pick where he wants to go play
bas basketball next. And I think for him, and it's
not even about the money, because he's going to be paid,
and so I think for him, I think it was
was one of the best things that could have happened
to him. He can be at home, he can rehab,
he can do all those things, get paid, and then

(23:32):
when he's back and ready to go, he can pick
the team he wants to go to that could be
anybody in Milwaukee.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Though he from he was it was a disaster. It
never worked. From people were excited about it. People thought
it was a perfect combo. You know, Damian Lilla finally
got to play with a star and uh, you know,
and for yo, honest, that was exactly what he needed
and all that.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
I don't know, do you know why it didn't work?
I mean it should have worked well.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
I think for the most part their entire three years together,
neither one of them were healthy the entire time. So
when you don't get the benefit of playing with someone
in an entire year and into the playoffs, it happens.
Man injury, injuries happened, and we saw, you know, Jannis

(24:20):
got hurt, and he got hurt, and he came beyondest,
came back, and now Dame got hurt. So they never
really got a chance to fully be and play with
each other any real length of time to develop that chemistry.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Hey, from let me ask you about as a former player,
when guys retire, right, the.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Dolphins, I just forgot it.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Wheeler, Yeah, unretired so that he could Darren Wallach. I
was with the Giants, right, and I was gonna un
retire and then go back to Miami. But when people
normally retire, isn't it like a mindset? You know, when
you decide to you're not gonna play anymore, you know
what I mean. It's not a physical it's more mental,
like I don't want to do this anymore. Can guys

(25:07):
restart that after saying that they felt that they didn't
want to do it anymore?

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (25:12):
Yeah, because your situation can change. Like for guys who
retire and stay retired, they were done. It was like that,
that was it. I remember my agent when I decided
I was done. My agent call was like, hey, wee
get Then I was like, yeah, I'm good, right, but
I just didn't have it in me anymore. And for
guys who who still feel like they can play at

(25:36):
a high level and they're maybe not comfortable with their
situation or are just you know, rubbed the wrong way
in a sense to what like, I'm done, I don't
have to do this anymore. And then and the situation
comes up, then yeah I can I can see how
you know you can unretire. Miami is a good place
to unretire in. I could tell you that.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Well, all the retirees lived there to do it.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
The early Bird special.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
You know, I'm just saying, yeah, maybe.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
He's got a place out there, and he I mean,
he still can play. He still in shapey, I mean,
you know, he's still got a lot of trade on
those tires, and being with a quarterback and an offensive
system like that, he's gonna be valuable.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Yeah, he's familiar with that offensive system as well. So
that's kind of what they're banking on. It's not like
he's coming in blue out the blue. Let's let's stay
in the NFL for a little bit.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
What we have you here. A lot of moves happen
in unusual moves, a lot of a lot of traction
happening for the Steelers this offseason overall, so far from
what we had over the last handful of months. Do
you like the moves they've made and are continuing to make?
And then what do you make of this t J.
Watt situation?

Speaker 6 (26:48):
I mean, they're moving. I don't know if they're they're
moving the needle, but they're making moves. Look, I think
you know t J. Watt is what the Steelers are, right,
They've always been built on a strong defense. They've always
been that team that puts so much pressure on you defensively.

(27:13):
He is one of the premier defensive players ed rushers
in the league. You gotta get that done and you
get rid of Minka fin Patrick for Jalen Ramsey, they're
both older. Not quite sure if that makes a difference.
I do like getting that tight end and getting another

(27:33):
weapon for Aaron Rodgers. But defensively is where they hang
their hat and they gotta get that done or it's
gonna be a lot of upset people in those stands
and in that locker role.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yeah, I'm with you. We Rob talked about it. I
just thought that they were swapping the same reshuffling the deck. Okay, no, Fitz,
get Jalen. Okay, Pickens is gone, Go get DK. It's
just a lot of the same to me, plugging in
the same type of guy.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Yeah, but you can't just keep having the same team.
Sometimes you gotta make moves. People are looking to do stuff.
You got to switch it up.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
I mean, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
I mean it's easy to say, oh, go get this guy,
and he's everybody's going to be better than somebody might
be better in your situation than he was where he
was last year on a different team.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
That's what you're looking for when you.

Speaker 6 (28:19):
Go out and you go to one of those establishments.
You know all dancers, dancers.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Man, no doubt, no doubt, you know in.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
That carry blossom. I mean, I don't know he.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Sent him into the stage. Parker's here to the stage.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
I was going to tell you from I was at
Magic City one. I'm not name dropping or trying to
big up. And then I hear the DJ mentioned my
name as the girls are coming out.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Let's welcome here.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Rob, We see Rob park super get paid.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
I was like, wow. I always ask him, like, what's that?
What's their great point average? How are they doing? That's
my first question, what's your great point A? Look at me.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Giving it into that? Right, that stereotype is that overright,
nobody goes to college anymore, right, they just give up.
I'm not in college. I'm trying to be an influencer.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
I'll tell you I want to. I went to a
place in Toronto. This is when our money was so
much better than the Canadian money. And and uh no,
it might have been Montreal, not even Toronto, Montreal. And
it was like five dollars US a lapt it. I
just could not believe it. And it was five dollars US.

(29:31):
And I sat there for a long time. I'm just
saying that was in my real house, five dollars from you.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
You was like, I'm in here, I'm in here.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
That sir, it's wake up, please, it's time to go home,
time to go. We've swept around you and you're still here.

Speaker 6 (29:49):
Unbelievable, right, dy't shift night shift, morning shift.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
I don't even know how we got to that. By
the way, No, I'm sorry I took it there. Yeah,
you did well. One more from me. SGA got all
the money four years to eighty five. They say. On
the last year of his deal, he'll be making essentially
a million dollars a year. You know, it's eighty two
games and he'll be making like seventy eight seventy nine million,
so almost a million dollars a game, par for the course,

(30:16):
next star up? Or is that just crazy? Like that's
just too it is though, it's just far for the course.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Man, It's far for the course. That's how it goes.
And it's crazy. Is it crazy as that sounds just
you know, Lucas coming.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Up and he already can't get that Lucas when he's
going to the Lakers.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
It already ever fought one hundred million.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
Yeah, when the wind beats, the win beats coming like,
it's going to be some guys that, you know, we're
looking at his contract like man, but then there you know,
that's just how it goes. That's what sports are. The
new TV deal, the new collective bargaining agreement, the new
salary cap. It's just the money's going up, so the
guys are getting paid more and more. Remember when step

(30:58):
did his deal a couple of years ago, he was
can make it sixty six million in the final year,
But I was like, what, It's just that's nothing.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Now, yeah, Jalen Brown got some crazy money to Tatum.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
Now we say everybody and.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
We saw two seven hundred million dollar deals in baseball.
So we are the money as we did.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Money is wild. Let me go train my daughter here.
We do that all right. If appreciate you, man, appreciate
you guys, brother, no doubt. Shekel City on the way. Also,
we were just talking about an NBA team that is aoka.
What they're doing, the moves that they're making, We'll tell
you we're talking about. It's they couple Rob Parker Kelvin

Speaker 1 (32:43):
That he's gonna do. Is I sound like that? You know?
I sound like that really on the radio at all? Okay?
Maybe Magic City?

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Did I do that? All? Right? Here we go. He
loves chastity. There you go. It's a challenge.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Jastity belt exactly. I was two and one last night.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Okay, that brings a record to one sixty five and
one sixty seven. How's that all right? Getting closer tonight
coming up momentarily. I got the Cubs minus one and
a half hosting the Cleveland Guardians in Chicago. Also, I
got the Houston Astros minus one and a half runs.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
They were in Colorado and Denver.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Taking on the Rockies, and boy, Kansas City is really
falling on. I'm gonna take Seattle minus one and a
half runs. They host the Royals in Seattle. So we
got Seattle minus one and a half, Chicago minus one
and a half. That's the best bet. And we got
Houston minus one and a half. And remember, Calvin, what's that.

(33:48):
I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling
you who I bet on.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
All right, there you have u see if you can
get above five hundred this time, right now, this time
for the tiereck player the day back to the wall slip,
George Springer closing open in the seventh what Canada there?

Speaker 3 (34:11):
It was Canada today? Is that the celebration of them
being the fifty first state or not? I'm just out
they ain't trying to hear that right now, dude, like
like you know how inssaulting? That is seriously, man, Canada
is a great nation. Are Canada has been chilled? They
usually mind their own.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Business, but lately they've been taking shots at us and
coming and rightfully so they've been going use it on
you know, hey, we keep it quiet. We don't really,
you know, they have not beready boy. They mind our
own business, just chilling up north there. They're gonna get
a big saw cut, trying to cut off until they
don't have to be attached to us anymore. Blue Jays
Radio there, George Springer with the Big Time You had.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Two home runs and seven RBIs and that big win
over the Yet yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
He thought he was back in Houston or something.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
No, playing like that. Very nice, all.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Right, So congrats to him, and uh, you had some
thoughts on the Pacers were touched a little bit on.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
You just say it totally with the Pacers not wanting
to pay the luxury tax. Dude, they're star players out
for a year. They're not doing anything, so why are
we paying a tax. If you were bringing back the
ban and you thought you had a shot, and especially
with the way to East and Halliburn was healthy, then
you might tip put your toe back in the water saying,

(35:21):
you know, we got there last year, we got to
the finals, we had a shot, we took it to
seven games. Whatever it is. But knowing where you are,
I'm not mad at them. I do get it. Why
would you pay a luxury tax when they probably are
going to see not probably, they will see an increase
in season tickets, right even though everything because of what

(35:43):
happened in the fandom and people got so many thrills
and excitements last year, right about the Pacers, So they're
gonna get that they made money last year, hand over
fist and why give it away on a year that
you're probably, you know, not probably most definitely aren't going
to make a return without Halliburton.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Yeah, and I think I think they they'll compete. They
got enough players to compete, and they'll catch some teams
off guard. I don't care if it's the East or
the West. They'll catch a few teams every you know,
every few nights, just because they've got enough pieces around
to be solid. The guys who compete. But Miles Turner
has been a Laker for five years, Rob, gee, how
many times have the Laker fans said, Man, if we
just had a big like Miles Turner, and Rob Miles Turner. Yeah,

(36:26):
and he's shaking his head right now, because my point
is Miles Turner, while he is a solid player and
he absolutely played his role, well there, you can live
without Miles Turner. You know what, I mean, when you're saying,
all right, cool, we're gonna we get a pass this year.
We can kind of be cheap. We can figure out
some things. We can see how things go. We can
see who's coming around for the trading block around February

(36:48):
All Star Breaking Attack. Yeah, we're not paying a luxury
tax for Miles Turner for a season when we're missing
Tyree's Halliburton. When this is our out, we can just
see who's who. We can play certain guys more minutes
to say we really like him, he's really gonna be
a guy redo it, redoing, Maybe make a trade if
you want there, Like I said before, All Start Break
to get a guy that you can say, start next

(37:09):
season with Tyree's Halliburton. Yet, Miles Turner has been a
guy that has been dangled for seriously three to four years,
dangled out there. Who wants this? What are you gonna do?
Would you trade him? All that? So I think they're
they're fine with him being gone, and it's good for him.
He gets to go and get some money. He's happy.
Uh allegedly played with Giannis or not, and we'll say
I love that. They celebrated nineteen seventy five look at that.

(37:32):
The problem is that looks so sweet. It looked like
he could wear that today. Was his name, Johammi, Yeah,
we Yeah, he's really good.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
He's been doing the sidelines for the Red Sox for
long time.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Yeah, he looked he looked flying not to look at
that up. He looked like Gucci. Man, Gucci. I'm gonna
text him. I'm gonna say do.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
I said, he looks like Gucci with those shades.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
All right, that is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Yeah, put anything stuff from the seventies or do you
leave it at the hotel room?

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (37:55):
I left it.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
You know, on this trip, I was able to unload
so many clothes. I mean it was unbelievable. I had
loaded about four pair of pants, all seven shirts that
I wore the past week, A ton of underclothes.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Wait, hold on, wait, what do you mean like T shirts?
Or you mean like T.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
Shirts underwearing socks all got left behind. I thought those
in the garbage. I don't leave those for the people.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Okay, when you say left behind, I thought you meant like, hey,
here's a note, here's the tip tip I wearnes.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
I would never leave underwear for people.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Okay, but but a golf shirt that I don't want
to wear any more, or pants, Alex, if you were
working in the hotel cleaning and you ran it, came
to my room and you saw I had an hours
leave a note. I always say, please take you know,
either take this or donate it if you don't want it,
and I'll even know so they know that for you.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Now I gotta go to Salvation Army
