Speaker 4 (03:13):
Yeah, yeah, wowsy, wowsy. Sometimes you gotta fight through that though.
Sometimes you gotta.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
You don't think there's a little what did I just
tell you?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
That's what I feel like there? Okay, well let me go.
It's just Is it just because it's the end of
the week. I got a tissue for me?
Speaker 4 (03:33):
Is it because she didn't call you back? No? Never,
your your big goat went up eighty cent? What's going on?
I wouldn't be drinking. I wouldn't be drinking.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
I don't see Okay, No, you know, like I'm used
to it. I'm just being honest. Things go on my
way all the time. Sometimes they don't. I gotta you
know what I mean, I have to own up to it.
And you know, like I've had a nice wave of
things going my way, do.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
You know what? So then that's where you I have
to Yeah, I have to.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
You can't win them all, but I but I really
feel like everything should go my way and that that's unrealistic.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I appreciate, you know, honest, there are a handful of
people who genuinely don't get there, Like, what do you
mean it should always go away?
Speaker 6 (04:17):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
But I you know, but the only thing is as
I am centered and grounded that I do understand it,
and I can.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Live with you.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
I don't like it, but I don't like it that
that's exactly right. Not that I don't accept it or
understand it or whatever.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
I just you know, it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I'm more of a huh okay, okay, I'm that person
when it doesn't go my way, I'm all right, okay.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
I take it as like a challenge, like all right,
it's on. No, I get it. I'm just saying being honest.
But you know what, think about it, man, No, life
is good doing this for so long.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
I'm on my way to San Francisco to mon.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Know why you're going to San Francis the Dodgers Giants game.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
I mean Dodgers Giants six pm star on the post
cause it full of gucci.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
My buddy Ron and I we're gonna go hang out.
We've got a restaurant to go to. There's a great
restaurant called De Lancey. I was telling Elijah earlier, real quick.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
The people who worked there are ex cons. Oh I
think we mentioned that. And they cook and everything, and
the prices are ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
So I can go to them all have a ribbi
and eggs and potatoes, right for twelve dollars a ribbon.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
But like real good food. But it's about to cause
more so than because they're teaching them how to cook.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
I love that. Yeah, that's good. I wish you like
Chinese food. No, no, no, I like to.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Eat No, I do, yes, it just doesn't do it
all right, let's welcome in the before I get in trouble,
I would take you to. Okay, I'm not big on
Chinese food you like, So when we go to San Francisco,
Rob Jeep, he gets mad at me.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I don't like Mexican food. I don't like Chinese food.
It's not. And he has almost feel like.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
You can't not like Mexican food, like who nothing like
a taco or some beans and rice like what you know,
like a little savice.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Okay, No, it's not nothing to do with that.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
And then and they don't even like black food.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
That's gotta be rasist food. Black food. Yeah, you don't
even like black folk food.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
And then you know, I had my feelings hurt yesterday,
rob G, you said something that somebody said on on the.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
You've been on YouTube. I'm not about to do this
with you every day.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
No, no, but he said that, you know, he was
shot surprised, and I didn't know what he's Spanish because
I grew up in New York because I hung out
with all the Jewish.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
God, I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
You spent in all those decades the in the odega
and coming out with no Spanish is crazy.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
That's that's messed up. I don't know, rob G. O
E Vane that's the first two that game. I have
an audio of you yesterday and why you feel so bad?
Why I want the Golden Goose goosies, Jesus, you want
the song, but you're upset. I get it.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
I said, your little cheer up, Charlie, no needs all right,
that's hold.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
On comets ROGI, Rob G is our producer Mexican and
that's what there. It is. Alex Is.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Steve the Segers at the ANCHORSSK He'll keep us updated.
And I've never heard it is our social media. We're
already off to eight. Elijah speak Spanish, does he? Yeah
a little bit paquito, Yeah, yeah, okay. You know he
did travel to like seventy two countries now, he's been everywhere.
He's a trial pastright, crazy, let's do that. For over
(07:39):
forty years, tire rack dot com has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Ship fast and free back by free Road has a
protection uh with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.
Tire rack dot Com the way tire buying should be, uh,
Rob G, let's go here. Jerry Jones still trying to
(08:01):
justify the trade.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
I don't think he needs to justify it. He just moved on.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
You know.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Michael Parsons with that crazy hat he had on after
whatever that.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Was rolled up Beanie.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
With the with the ugly packers colors. That beanie or
whatever it was was ugly. But anyway, Jerry had some
comments trying to justify them.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
As opposed to herschel Walker, which was to basically get
a graph picks and was bil divided up very carefully.
The others don't get because there's a there's a pool
of dollars and so you've got to divide it up
very carefully, and that's the that is the art of
(08:42):
the deal. So this as opposed to herschel Walker, which
was to basically get a graph picks and was basically
a recognition that we will compete on another day. This
was not that this was a very conscious trade to
get three, four or five six players for one, which
(09:03):
will be better off the one player outstanding. He's an
outstanding player, but we should be able to get As
a matter of fact, we've got one on the field.
And of course people say, but he's no Micah. Well,
I'm not going to debate that at all because Micah
is very very special. But I'll tell you this right now.
By the time this happens, and as we look forward
(09:26):
to Dak's time when we made his contract and we
look forward, this was the best way to maximize our
chance to get a Super Bowl for Dak.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
First of all, when did he record that? Nineteen thirty seven?
Speaker 1 (09:38):
It sounds like Winston church Hill was some some addressing
of the nation from a president.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
It sounded crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
All right, listen you ever, we know there's another old
person he should listen to. That old person needs to
listen to themselves too. I'm talking about Bill Belichick because
I need him to go on to Cincinnati.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Okay, I need him to move.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
On to Cincinnati or whoever their opponent is this week
is dagget I'm tired of here about Michael. Just move
on now, conversation. I get what he's saying. We're trying
to extend and open up, you know, the window for Dak.
But Daggett, you know what you did. You did open
the window. You opened the window for the Packers and
Jordan Love, that's who he just opened the window for.
Jordan Love has already been a good quarterback with some issues,
(10:17):
but the team's made the postseason. The team smacked you
up a couple of seasons ago in the postseason to
the two and a forty plus points, and so now
you just gave a team that's coming back hungrier, that's
coming back healthier, that already have some nice pieces who
were getting right into their entering the beginning of their prime.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
And then you just gave them right in the middle
of his.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Prime, arguably one of the two three best defensive players
in the league. So to me, he just opened up
the window for Jordan Love in the Packers. That defense
was already top six and scoring last year, top ten
in just every other stat You got Jordan Love coming
back to knowing and understanding that now that he has
a great defense, what are the one concerns about Jordan Love?
He could really throw it down the field, he really
(10:58):
gets the ball out far, but he turned the ball
over a little bit more than you care for. Well,
if I got a great defense, I'm okay tucking a
little bit. I'm okay dunking it down and living and
play another day because I got a great defense. And
the defense is achor by Micah, who's only reving up
right now. He played forty percent first game, played sixty
seven percent of the snaps. Game two, he got six pressures,
(11:19):
six or eight pressures, and he was then accounted for
a half a sack as well. So he's on the
big half sack. Hey, those pressures are getting crazy, and
he's coming. He's getting there faster and faster, and he's
getting more and more in tune of what that defensive
teams is. So to me, I get what he's saying.
Further on, maybe we can get a pick or two.
But he didn't even trade him early enough Rob to
(11:39):
do something with the picks. So now the picks are
just sitting there while the Packers are playing now and
playing some great football. So to me, he just opened
up the window for Dak I mean for Jordan Love
and the Packers extended their run and now they got
a chance, and dang, they might even put the Lions
out the way.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
I'm already sad about that. Dang you.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
I will say this, you were complaining about the quality
of Jerry Jones.
Speaker 5 (12:04):
As opposed to herschel Walker, of which was too Basically I.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Just thought that was spectrum streaming.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
No, I would have you know that was actually really good.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
I told you. I told you, Chris. Chris, I've been.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
With you almost three hundred and sixty five to today,
and I've known you for dagnar fifteen twenty years.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
I don't know how long I've known you. You ain't
never saying nothing that funny?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
What did you say that Chris Ka kid cackling.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Like that, cackling like a Hi? You know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
You must have said, Yo, I'm about to get saved
the field with the Holy gir That was it.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
That would have been it.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
But I'm gonna say this, you say, Jerry. Jerry's point.
The only reason I'll push back on it is simple.
There is no down the road five year plan. You're
trying to win every year. That's how the NFL is.
Nobody like this whole notion that, oh yeah, well wait no,
because you don't know who's gonna get heard, who you
have to pay, who you can't pay.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
None of that matters. You're trying to every year.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
What is our best shot is just some way we
could squeeze in your green Bay? Is Micah exactly what
you need to win this? No, he's not.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
He's not.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
He wasn't like, oh, if they can only get an
edge rusher, they're gonna win this. Nobody said that about
green Bay. Now that they say, can we add this guy?
And would this help us and make our defense even better?
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (13:32):
And if you feel like you want to roll the
dice and do something of that. Ilk that makes sense,
But this is a year to year league, and that
that's why I'm so down on the Lions. Knowing that
is that it is when with the coordinators, like they
didn't go out and try to get the best coordinators
right now, saying we had two shots the last two years,
(13:55):
it didn't work out. We can't keep doing this. We
gotta go for it. Now you're trying to teach somebody
on the you know, like it's different being on the
staff and then being a coordinator. So now do we
have a year for you to get better at being
a coordinator?
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Now we're pushing.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Our goal another year down and it's no guarantee you're
going to be good. So Jerry's point isn't legit from
that standpoint. It ain't about Dak four years from now
that sounds good. It's about now he's healthy now, right
he wasn't healthy last year. You try to put the
best team around him. It's not that hard. If you
(14:33):
get the playoffs, you win two games and you're in
the cutting the championship game. It ain't like you gonna
win ten games, have a good season, make the play
you win two games and you're in there. So that's
that's the only thing I don't I don't buy his reasoning.
I think that the NFL doesn't operate like that.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Yeah, all right?
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox is our telephone number?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Wait a minute? What happened with Aaron Judge? Something happened?
Speaker 5 (15:00):
What?
Speaker 4 (15:01):
I don't know?
Speaker 7 (15:02):
Just the red socks. Somebody text Rob it was just Cody.
Don't worry Cody. Yeah, all right, it was Aaron Donald.
He lifting weights at home. Wasn't there? And you saw
Aaron and got excited?
Speaker 4 (15:13):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Rob, G, what's
going on?
Speaker 8 (15:17):
I mean, you cut off a segment like halfway through
and then you got distracted by Aaron Judge.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
It's just hard for me to what are you talking
about it?
Speaker 8 (15:24):
We only did six minutes of talking there and seven
minutes and everything else.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
But that's cool. Eight seven seven YouTube? What are our
fun moments? Your fun moment? You know what that's look like?
Jordan Love, don't be such a stickler.
Speaker 8 (15:37):
In an effort to open the Dak Prescott super Bowl window,
did he inadvertently open up the Super Bowl window for
Jordan Love?
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Eight seven seven Foxes.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
It felt like you said it, Rob, I'm not gonna
that felt like that's how you would have said it.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
All right, Rob, you you know he said he down
in the double. Since you're doing all that, can you
throw it to break?
Speaker 8 (15:57):

the Mica trade and believe.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
You don't have to justify it to me, it was
the right deal.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Well then he's still splaining a whole lot of splaining
going on, and he's saying he did it to open
the window for Dak. I said he opened the window
for the Packers and Jordan Love you say you don't
try to wait for the future.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
The future is now. Yeah eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox We got wrong?
Speaker 5 (18:03):
Right?
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Alan in Texas, You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up? Alan?
Speaker 10 (18:09):
Guys love the show and listen to you on every day.
Speaker 11 (18:11):
Thank you, yes, sir.
Speaker 10 (18:13):
Yes, sir. I think Jerry Jones already knows their window
had been closed. They paid DAK, they paid CD, they
paid Ezeq idiot as soon as he did that. I
think he's just trying to cover his tracks. If he
was going to trade Mark and get the best deal,
he should have done it before the draft. He should
have done it last year. He's only helping the Packers,
(18:34):
which is a great team. I think Jerry Jones is
just trying to cover his tracks, trying to make it
look like he knows what he's doing.
Speaker 11 (18:41):
But this isn't the virschel Walker trade.
Speaker 10 (18:43):
If the Packers win the Super Bowl, that first round
pick next year is going to be the last Hicky.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
How about Sean in Sacramento, You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
What's up, Buddy?
Speaker 10 (19:00):
Yeah, my uncle from Anozen brother cousin killed me my
brother behind the board. What up though, my chat? And hey,
word in chat, hug is that you didn't grow up
with a crew like the Garcia's, Gambinos and Delgados. It
was the Cohens and Levies and Golders and the gold scenes.
Any truth to that I.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Grew up, I'm queen. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
I said a lot of shivers and went to a
lot of Bob Mitzvah's and called a lot of women
bubala my day. I'm just saying I ate a lot
of good.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
But I always thought that.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
I always thought though that passover should be a black
holiday because we've been passed.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Over for four hundred years. I know that. I know
that was a stand up. That was in the stand up,
you know what?
Speaker 10 (19:52):
Alight, Hey man, Hey, on a serious note, this is
why we love y'all, two brothers. Man, it's been a
rough week for the entire nation. Y'all have the bis
so down fun shout out to the whole couple of
crew monste when he's in there, rob G y'all kept
us laughing. And this new format on YouTube, man, we
appreciate it and y'all numbers are doing ten times a
numbers than any other show, So we appreciate everything y'all doing. Man,
(20:16):
I wish Jerry Jones loved this fam as much as
y'all do. Man, I hear what you're saying.
Speaker 11 (20:20):
Rob.
Speaker 10 (20:21):
It was funny with the turnoff to Micah jam And
maybe he did help the locker room a little bit,
but you don't add championships by getting rid of a
defense of Star wars Man. As a matter of fact,
he gave Micah the confidence and stay focused and stay motivated.
Maybe he does a little bit less podcast, a little
bit more practice. He's shooting up before the game just
to get out there to play. He would have never
(20:42):
done that in Dallas, where he knew nobody valued him
and protected him out there. And most of all, he
gave Jordan Love, the one thing Aaron Rodgers never had
a closer on defense. And to me, all that adds
up to to Kelvin's point an NFC championship and maybe
even the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Calvin has the Lions. I thought he picked the Lion
I did. That's before I saw it.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
Real quick.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
The squeeze in Randy from New Orleans, you're on the
yard couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
What's up, Randy?
Speaker 11 (21:09):
What's going on? Fellows? I finally understand why it's city.
I get it now.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
I guess it ain't payso city.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
That's right. It would.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
And if I would have said pays City, Rob g
would have said it was right.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
If I said.
Speaker 11 (21:29):
So chick and check it? All right? So, Jared Jones,
you know to me obviously he opened the Super Bowl
Wonder for Jaidon Love and a pack because I said it.
If you ask any playoff team last year, any playoff
team from last year, including the Eagles that won the
Super Bowl, would they be better with Michael Parkins, And
every one of those teams will tell you yes, except
for the Donalds Cowboys. So that should tell you everything.
(21:52):
He used to go right there the Super Bowl window
and mile paying for the Cowboys for the next couple
of years.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
It is all right.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Appreciate you got some good donuts there too. Appreciate it
all right, Thank you for the call.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
I got to do all the Randy's donuts? Is that it? Yeah?
I heard you? Okay, all right, you got want some
smoke with me?
Speaker 1 (22:11):
All right, We're getting ready to get you set on
What's trending right Now with Steve A.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Seger.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Also on the way, we got to talk about a
big fight that's happening tomorrow night as well.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Seven hundred million Dollar Man is what I get? Seven
sixty five To be exact, I was on MLB Network
with Brian Kenny. Yeah, yesterday, he asked me point blank
on the Mets done. I said, they're done. They're not
gonna make look at where they are.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Yeah. And we talked about the remainder of the schedule too,
Yeah Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
And they got three rookies trying. They're trying to win
down the stretch. With three rookies pitching, it's just not impressurized.
Moments too crazy, you know, make the playoffs or not.
Moments they gave they game is in New York. People
must be six six nothing. To Texas and Jacob de Gram,
their former star pitchers pitching for Texas his return to
New York.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Hey, aking ee stiff back joints on cooperating. Some days
your body is just like knowing. On those days, Luckily
there is a leave with just one pill.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
Yes, right.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
A lead provides up to twelve hours of paying release
so you can keep it moving. Use as directed. So
we got a big fight happening tomorrow. The cool thing
about it, Canelo and Crawford, is that we've been talking
about the fights we don't want to see that have
landed on Netflix, but this one is actually on Netflix.
So I think a lot of people are gonna be
able to take advantage of that and enjoy Robgerie.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
Y'all know you're all in on this one, right, No,
he can't wait.
Speaker 8 (23:39):
Yeah, I'm pumped up. I'm gonna watch you a big
fight party, probably at the end loss. I gonna clean
up afterward. Eighty inch TV set, we'll shut that down.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
I was trying to sell them my eighty inch TV setup.
Man up. His wife was like, Nope, you're not bringing that.
Speaker 8 (23:53):
This is how I know you ain't married to a Mexican.
I know you ever woke up dead, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Hey, this is this is how you know I'm I'm
actually lying because I would never have done that.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
You say all that, No, but We're very excited about
this fire. I have to fight that.
Speaker 8 (24:06):
People say that the fight can save boxing, right, But
here's my question for you guys. Leading into this fight,
we talked about it months ago when it was first
even speculated, before he's even announced. We talked about this,
and my belief coming into it was I never thought
as much as Crawford wanted this fight, it was ever
gonna happen because I believed that Canelo Alvarez has nothing
(24:28):
to gain in this one other than a boatload of money. Obviously,
he'll do anything with a lot of money. But if
you just look at his resume and his history, you
go down the list, and the guy's already beaten Glovekin twice.
He's being Covid lab, he's beating the American, he's been
Miguel Coto like. He's run through divisions over and over
and over. He challenged himself by going up a division
he shouldn't have, which is something that Crawford's gonna do
(24:48):
here because he wanted to test himself against the bigger man,
the better man, so on and so forth. And my
question has always been, he's already the top draw in
the sport. He's already making a ton of money. His
legacy is basically cemented. What does he have to gain
by taking on a guy who is at a minimum
two weight classes lighter? And with all due respect to
(25:11):
Bud Crawford, I think he's a great fighter. His only
real notable fight that anybody ever talks about is the
one against Spence, just because as great as he is,
he doesn't have that same marquee fight that everyone knows
and talks about. So my question was why would he
take this fight? Because if he wins, he's supposed to win.
He's the bigger guys, the more experienced guy. But if
(25:31):
he loses, then that changes everything it is.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
And I'm just gonna what's do we know?
Speaker 3 (25:36):
The persons like what they're getting because now people are
motivated by these big paydays and money Because I'm with you,
Rob G, like, like, it only hurts you if you lose,
like winning, why are you supposed to win?
Speaker 5 (25:50):
Right?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
So you don't get anything out of it other than
the financial terms, Rob G. So I just wonder what
the payday is to make him say, yeah, I gotta
take this fight.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
I disagree.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
I think it's exactly the opposite. I think this is
a separation between him and Floyd. I think this is
where he can say, Floyd, I am emulating his business model, right,
I got with the zone, I'm doing all these big fights.
I'm kind of handling my own career like Floyd.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Now.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
I do think Floyd has become the blueprint for a
lot of boxers in that regard, and really and a
lot of other sports as well. But I think he
is saying when people say, and even though it's you know,
ten twelve year difference, whatever the age is, but they
can say the best of the generation.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
People are gonna say Floyd, but.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
People can maybe say Canelo, because why, what's the thing
we say about Floyd? He didn't fight anybody, or he
didn't fight him at the right times. He waited, And
I think Canelo has that in his favor. You just
listed off some of those some really good fights he
fought Floyd, he fought others, you know, and now he's
fighting the only other person someone can say he has
been the best during his reign, and so to me,
this is a differentiator. You know what else, He had
(26:53):
a chance to fight Jake Paul, remember that was coming
out and everybody's like, oh man, why Cannelly could have
made crazy money.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Scratch that.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
I want to fight a real fighter who's still in
his prime, is still one of the best. The guy
people say, you know, if you look out the eye,
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
It's close.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
And so I think he's trying to say I have
respect for the sport integery with the sport integrity. I
have been a fighter. I fought everybody, and I want
to now continue to fight the best and maybe I
can try to save the sport. If it doesn't happen,
at least you can't say I didn't try, and then
that can be a differentiator, right, because that's how he's
gonna make stupid money.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
But if Rob do you got the money?
Speaker 8 (27:29):
Yeah, this is reported on the Sporting News. So according
to this report, Canalo's gonna make anywhere between one hundred
hundred and fifty.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Million dollars for this fight due and.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
By comparison, and this goes to show you about how
it's a one sided affair in terms of marketability. Bud
Crawford said on a podcast he's only making about ten
million for this fight.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
That's what he said. He's doing that for family, so
they don't sweat him.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah, could it be like that one hundred and fifty two?
Speaker 8 (27:58):
To your point, the spence that everyone was so excited
about that we went to that fight only got made
because Bud Crawfords had spent You're the big dog, You're
the guy who wants to see you take the majority.
I want the opportunity to fight you. Because he didn't
have any Marquis fights before. If he was fighting on ESPN,
he wasn't getting paid.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
Why he's had for eight, nine, ten years. But some
money sounds low though, doesn't it? The only thing I'll
say he may have. And y'all know how these goes.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Look all these incentives, he may have some all the
incentives if the fight goes over fifty million viewed at
the same time you get by bah hey on the
back end between the ticket sales and the promotion said
that by that he'll so he might end up at
the end of it all making thirty million dollars. You know,
I'm just here is what you're peeking. Paid ten million
straight cash. However, on the backup, you know.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
And then we'll mention too. Canelo was promised a minimum
of four hundred million dollars by Turkey the Shah if
he for a four fight deal or a five fight deal,
so minimum no matter who he fights. He fought Williams Scholl,
Rob if William School delivered a pizza to your house,
you have no idea who he was. No, he got
eighty million dollars.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
For that fight. I would say, skull brother on that year.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (29:10):
So money, the money was gonna be there regardless, So
why take this far?
Speaker 1 (29:14):
That's what I think. That's why. And here's the other
part of this. Guess what if he were to lose
to Crawford. There's not a single person that would be like,
that's a bad loss. You might be shocked, like I
thought he would win because he's heavier. It's not a
bad loss. And some people I talk today, they're all
about Crawford. They think that he's gonna win because Crawford
has been To Rob G's point, I'm not gonna act
(29:35):
like I watched every one of his fights, but I've
watched definitely a the vast majority, and I watched him
like I feel like the only his dude is incredible
technician power, you know, uh focus, I mean defensively counter
also can be an off. I'm like, this dude is amazing,
and I think this is his shot. That's why for him,
(29:55):
it's sus huge to finally be on the main stage,
if you will, not just being a great guy who
never got the big shot. But I think for for
again going back to Canelo, even if he loses, he
loses to Crawford, they both win because guess whoever want
to see the rematch? Everybody as long as Caneloe drop
him in the first round, some crazy you know, he
just overpowered him. This thing goes past eight rounds. It
(30:16):
doesn't matter who wins, and it's a good fight, and
they're fighting each other. This is gonna be a good
win for both of them and for Crawford, especially this
ten million guaranteed part. And then obviously we know the
back end that might go to twenty five the next
time with more on the back end.
Speaker 8 (30:29):
Does the fact that Crawford is already thirty seven, how
much is that wat to this because Canelo, even though
Canelos much more experienced, much more, thirty five two years younger.
So is this Crawford saying, Hey, I'm already on my
way out the door.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Yeah, I mean this is my last best chance to
get for sure him Crawford. That makes total sense, right,
Oh yeah, I didn't. I thought you were asking the skill. No,
this is him absolutely, I've got to get me a
pay date. Okay. So then quickly with whether or were
up against it?
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Why is this different where you saying, hey, Alfarez is
fighting Crawford and you know the knock on Floyd when
he fight everybody too late? It's basically the same ages
as when Floyd fought Manny and they'll knock on that
was well, you know, he found him when he was
laid and his shoulder was messed up. The idea, why
is that not a conversation with this fight?
Speaker 4 (31:12):
A great question?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
I answered, that is because we didn't clamor for this
individual fight for five six years, that specific fight we're
waiting for for millions of years.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
Or is it just that there aren't any good fights
out there? You know what I mean? Like like there
aren't any good fights.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Like the biggest headlines for boxing have been Jake Paul
and Mike Tyson fighting at sixty.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Think about that.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
I covered boxing for years at Heyday, Yeah, and during
the Heyday and when I was with the Free Press
in Detroit, and I was in Vegas all the time,
all these big fights, and and you just don't have
the same feel because they just aren't that many good
fights that you're looking forward to. And then the ones
that when Mayweather, even when he was winning, they were
(31:57):
so boring and all tomato can And you just said
to yourself, I think I told you. We used to
watch it at the at the barbershop. I stopped for free,
like you know, I was like, I can't watch another
one of these.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
That's how bad. And you weren't missing anything because you
knew the outcome.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
They're gonna give it everything they have for the first
round and a half, get Floyd once or twice, and
then Floyd is gonna go defense mode and just science
him to death for the for the next ten eleven rounds.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
Alex, I need my music, You need your music? We
what you need?
Speaker 3 (32:24):
You?
Speaker 4 (32:25):
What happened Aaron Judge hit one or something?
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
We backed Shekel Okay, we were back baby, there you go. Well,
you know Shekel City is on the way Plus player today.
Speaker 4 (32:35):

Speaker 1 (32:37):

did I give out the number? Shekel City?
Speaker 4 (32:41):

Speaker 1 (32:58):

Speaker 4 (32:59):

Speaker 8 (33:01):

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Oh that's jam. This was they just said run give
me that be us the beat again? Use the beat.
Speaker 1 (33:07):

flashback Friday. Hopefully you're enjoying getting ready for the weekend

Welcome to Shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parker's
day Dicks against the Sprat.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
How'd you do all right? Last night?
Speaker 6 (33:34):
Three?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
And oh snap, give it up for him?
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Three and oh last night for him?
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Oh oh the boy back. I'm back, baby. That looks decent.
Seven eleven looks.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Like now I'm a convenience store. Now you open seven eleven.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I was gonna say you look more like the the
Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
But all right, here we go.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Hey Kelvin, don't faint my best better got the Tigers
minus one and a half at Miami taking.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
On the Mallins.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
I don't even know who you are right now, even
though you're disdained, isn't too much for the Tigers?
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Everybody? You know what?
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Who said that to Brian Kenny might have said that
the other day. We all know you hate Detroit, and
I'm like, just.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
The Lions, guys, stop, you don't even hate the Pistons.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
It's just the Lions. The Lions, and think Detroit. I
made my home there for twenty years.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Yeah you did, all right? You know every time I
turned on my TV, I saw you.
Speaker 5 (34:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
It was annoying saying something crazy. So my ex wife
said can you move? Like she was like, I'm from here?
Can you you get out of town? That is true?
Actually break up?
Speaker 4 (34:40):
And then you're everywhere she goes, turn the TV, turn radio.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
And all her friends and family, you know what I mean,
they're like, oh, I saw your saw are y'all sitting
at a dinner and you know there she's at dinner
and they're.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Like, oh Rob's on TV. That mother level. Oh all right.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
We got the Houston Astros minus one and a half.
They were in Atlanta taking on the break and the
Guardians are hosting the White Sox minus one and a half.
So again Guardians minus one and a half, Astros minus
one and a half and the Detroit Tigers minus one
and a half. And remember, Calvin, what's that I'm not
telling you who the bet on a haul, I'm telling
(35:16):
you who I bet on.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
All right, there you have it. Shekel City's time now
for your tirerack Player of the day.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
Jacobs to the right side of Love and the shotgun
slot left man faking the handoff, Love rolls right.
Speaker 6 (35:26):
Girls had craft touch down, lampo leap, turn up, beautiful
playfact take Jordan Love cut up her Craft eight yard
touchdown reception.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
Tell the color guy to be quiet and stop interrupting
the play by play. If I was to play by
play guy, if you were to one, you'd be like, dude,
your color you're gonna get in there. Can you let
me get a clean.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Call to play to play?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Wow, you know what they really saw that zone defense?
Then they breaking on down whatever.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
It happens a lot.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yeah, twenty seven eighteen Packers get to win over the
commanders your tire rack Player of the day. And for
over forty years, tire rack has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive
shit fast and free back by Freebield has their protection
with convenient insulation options like mobile tire installation, tire rack
dot com.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
It is the way tire buying should be.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Rob Well, it's a lot of already bad things happening
down in Mia Yo.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
In Miami. You got the Dolphins already had.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
One game in and they had to have all team
of players meeting players only meeting already after one game
because they got beat down so bad to the Colts.
Let the coach just score all over them on every
single drive. Danie Jones out there looking better than Peyton Manning,
which is crazy. But I look at this team, man,
and we've talked about the issues obviously with Tyreek Hill,
and even even if you take the most recent stuff
(36:52):
aside him last year wanting to you know, leave and
flirting and coming back, then have to speak to the
team to even get back on the team too. Obviously
we know of his health. And the coach player calling
out to us saying who left the team last year? Said, man,
we know, did we take away his first look? He
gets scared.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
They take away the first look when he put up
seventy points like.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
Years ago, last two years. I thought it was last year,
but he put up seventy.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
Like, let's not act like okay, like it's easy for
people to do that. And here's the other thing. I'm
just gonna say, all of that means nothing. They play
the Patriots this week at home, they beat the Patriots,
you're one and one. You move on with your season.
That's why you don't need to.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
Do all that. But that was it was a bad game.
You just gotta let it go.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
You can't be dwelling after one game, like like the
sky's falling. And in this case, if you go out
and do what you're supposed to, if you're the Lions
and you play better, then people will get off of that. Now,
if you lose to who they're playing, the Browns, the Bears,
the Bears. If they lose at home and the offense
is still discombooblaarated or whatever and not know sharp or whatever,
(38:01):
and you lose, now people are going to panic.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Am I right? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:05):
But I think the difference is the Dolphins have had
chaos last year on the field. They didn't look great
chaos off the field, so I just think for that.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
Win, if they win, if you be paid, David.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
But I think that's why they said, try to get
together to lock into win. Because clearly for them to
have to call this early because I went to you
week one, wash it down, flush it out, wash your
hands us. Go for them to do this, let me
know something else. It ain't just simply all we got
out played or Daniel Jones had you know, a couple
of plays here there like this shows me something bigger
than just simply what was on the field. There's something
(38:38):
you know, we're not committed, we're not playing for each other.
There's something else there that they have to do this
this early. Because I'm with you, it should be one
game overreact. I just think, well, who was the other one?
Speaker 3 (38:48):
What was the The Jets team had a no coaches
remember they they were no coaches practice, Like seriously.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
For what no coaches practice? It is hilarious before the season,
no coaches practice. Maybe it worked that. Maybe that's why
he looked at eight look better than they win. They
look better we did.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
We heard that, We heard that justin Fields was the
worst thing ever. He is way till week till this week,
we'll talk about that. It was the best game we
played all year. Watching Jordan's on it, I'm telling you
