(02:19):
as we always say, Alex, always remember sweet, was that
you were telling me I had to do that. Yeah,
that's usually what I do. I'm not gonna do that.
And I hold the microphone like you were doing because
we're on YouTube now, so I don't. But you gotta
(02:40):
let it. Yeah, but I'm not gonna We're not gonna.
Look it looks crazy.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
Yeah, I can't do it, Sweete.
Speaker 4 (02:46):

(03:29):
part of the day because it's Monty's favorite part Moncey giggles,
so Brie, you have to giggle when we get to that.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
All right, how you doing?
Speaker 6 (03:37):
I'm great, I'm super happy to be here.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
There is a button called Q that I had.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
It in and so let's see. See we have teacher
a lot. I mean, she don't even have to explain herself. No,
you could.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
You don't even have to explain yourself.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
Yeah, I had a frappuccino yesterday. I'm like seven pounds on.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
My way to get Hey, I ain't gonna lie that.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Look, it's the size of your pinky.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
It's on. I'm watching my calories. I'm trying to get
back down and it's not even back down to my
plane weight, because then that would be going up. So
oh yeah, I give what you mean. So I'm trying
to get just back down in life weight, not in
in plane weight. I don't have to block you know,
yeah I'm not. And so people are like, no, you
(04:21):
look good, like like if i'm around two ninety, which
I am now, I want to go down lower, like
I'm going to be in like my wife won't let
me get to. She don't want to bibblehead. She met
me when I was you know, six years in the league,
so she's never really seen like seven percent body fat me.
So that's where I'm on my way to right now. Way,
(04:43):
So you're in a way to seven percent vile and
alex you and alexing. But listen, but I got the
supplier walnuts and and nuts. Yeah, brazils chiligin Yes, what
is chili?
Speaker 5 (04:59):
Legit mineral from Russia? Man? What in the MC hammer
too legit to quit? What are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
That?
Speaker 5 (05:04):
The mineral? What do we what do we? We just
put it on things. We just put in like a
little vegetable capsule. Just take it in a vegetable capsule.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Legit, legit and seams Ephraim Now seas good.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
He had me on the sea mos just taking spot.
Skin is glowing. Come on, man, I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
I know, sweet ude, shush, Let's get to the show,
all right.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
So I just mentioned the American team, America's team. We
got that documentary as just dropping dropped the basically going
over Jerry Jones's tenure with the Cowboys, and a lots
coming from that. Some stuff kind I already knew, just
hearing different perspective, different story, different headlines, and then some
stuff is new and then some you're just hearing Jerry
do what Jerry does. Talk a lot and Rob g
(05:50):
he had a lot to say about why he feels
like he is the maestro the marketing Zooie is the
Steve Jobs of the NFL.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
Yeah, despite not winning a Super Bowl in thirty years,
the Dallas Cowboys are still at the forefront of every
sports media conversation. Case in point, the Netflix doc America's
team is top ten on Netflix right now. Later on
in this hour, we'll talk more about what's going on
with Jerry Jones and Michael Parsons. Oh yeah, not like
he's the only contract hold on. There's another all Pro
pass rusher in the AFC that's getting about two percent
(06:21):
of the coverage that Michael Parsons is getting. And the
reason why is because Jerry Jones fancies himself as the
master marketer in the NFL. USA Today's Jara Bell spoke
to him exclusively at Cowboys camp to discuss how is
it that, despite having, you know, relatively limited success over
(06:41):
the last three decades, that you guys have remained at
the forefront of every football conversation. Here's what Jerry's sik quote,
I'd bust my ass when it comes to marketing. This
exact same hard work that is going on in the football.
I work my ass off and that hasn't slowed down.
This is the busiest I've ever been at a training camp.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Let me say something here, youphrom Okay. First of all,
I heard way too many eyes, way too many eyes.
This the I've ever worked.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
I feel great, I'm doing this II I last time
I check, you ain't throwing pads on you ain't calling
offensive ad sense of plays. So that's start there with
the II eyes. There's a lot of eyes going on. Secondly,
you know who Jerry needs to be like another Jerry
Jerry Buss. You know why he needs to be like
(07:32):
Jerry Buss. Let me explain Jerry Lewis. Jerry, Well, he
acts like Jerry Lewis sometimes, But Jerry Buss, let me explain.
You talk about marketing, you're talking about being a creative.
You're talking about having your team always splattered everywhere coverage. Well,
doctor Jerry Bus did the same thing. The Lakers pre
him started to fall off a little bit, even had
(07:53):
the best player in the league with Kareem but wasn't
nothing really shaken. But then he buys a team and realizes,
we gotta spice this thing up along with doing the
basketball thing. And what does he do. He's able to
empower people. One of the greatest strengths you can have
is hiring to your weaknesses. So he can say doctor
Jerry Buss says, all right, I'm gonna get this guy
(08:14):
that was the logo and seems to know basketball.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
And seems to be crazy about it. I'm gonna get
Jerry West to run this thing. Put Paul Wells Felt in.
All right, you know this ain't walk working out right now,
go ahead, put pat Riley in. Let them do what
they do to the tune of getting Phil Jackson later.
My point is, you empower people to do what they
do while you bring in the Laker girls, while you
bringing the celebrities, you bring in the Forum club, you
(08:39):
bring in all of this things, and you just make
the atmosphere great. Everybody wants to go to the form,
which then eventually would turn to Staples Center. Right, you're
getting the best players, you get the shocks, you get
the magics, you drafts and trade for the Kobe's and
so on and so forth. But all of that while
also letting those other people focus on the basketball and
in turn focus on the winning to the tune of
(09:00):
a gang of championships under his helm and under his
tenure and under his ownership even in his death with
his family.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
So Jerry Jones needs to be like the other Jerry.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
He is amazing at the marketing, He is amazing at
having the odd couple with Rod Parker and Kevin Washington.
You and today even talking about him, But what about
the other side winning? What about allowing your players who
are busting their butt bus when tears have the best
chances to win year in your out And that's allowing
other people to do what they're great act. So that's
(09:31):
my thought.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Jerry Jones could use a little bit more from the
school of doctor Jerry Buss.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
If you're asking me, yes, you're right, but Jerry's gonna
be Jerry, and.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Jerry understands you can't build a brand that's only valuable
are noteworthy when you're winning, because eventually and inevitably, there'll
be times where you're not winning, and so if your
(10:11):
brand is based on that, then there's going to be
down market times for whatever that is you own. He's
understood from the beginning and the inception of buying the team.
How to market a team. Label it America's team, and
(10:32):
that label doesn't go It's not America's team because they're
winning super Bowls every year. It's America's team because Jerry
made it America's team. It's America's team because they're on
television every weekend primetime spots, and so he understands in
order to keep that up, you can't allow people to
(10:56):
just focus on the actual football of it. It's been
thirty years and it's been nothing to talk about. So
imagine Jerry just sitting or standing pat waiting for them
to be relevant and good again. Now they've had a
couple of twelve and five seasons and has some great
(11:16):
regular seasons, but that doesn't translate into greatness. But for Jerry,
there's a reason these holdouts go all summer. It's been
three years in a row. We've been talking about the
Dallas Cowboys and what they should and shouldn't do about
a player, and not about the actual season and the
(11:40):
playoffs and those things. So Jerry knows exactly what he's doing.
As his own radio show, you're gonna hear from him.
We hear from the Dallas Cowboys' owner more than we
hear from the GM, the coach, and the players, all
three combined. And that's by design. You don't even know
(12:03):
who owns half the other teams in the league, right
because we've never heard from them. They don't have a
TV and radio show, they're not going on podcasts. They're like, nope,
I hired them to run the business. Run the business.
This is Jerry's business. Most owners now have made their money,
(12:24):
their vast wealth and other things.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
This is Jerry's baby. Now.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
He came from energy and oil and all of that,
but this is making Jerry. This is his highest asset.
I will bet if the Lakers just sold for ten
billion dollars, he got about and.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Who was that?
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Was it the Washington that sold for six billion?
Speaker 5 (12:51):
What are the Cowboys worth thirteen?
Speaker 4 (12:54):
So you're sitting on something between thirteen and fifteen billion dollars.
Oh you gon Micro will manage the hell out of it.
But Ken, you gotta be a but you gotta be
able to keep it relevant when it's not on the field.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
That's marketing.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
One on one, I'm gonna sell you a spoon, I'm
gonna sell you this spoon even though you can only
eat spaghetti, right, Like, that's the that's the that's marketing.
I'm going to sell you this thing and have you
opt into this thing, even though it's not relevant or
you don't need it. The only the pushback I have
(13:33):
is the Lakers because they mastered. The Lakers are the
Lakers are the Lakers even when they're down. People still
the first thing on you name the show if you
know Lebron and Luca, If Lebron and Lucas start two
and seven or go seven and two talking about the Lakers, Yeah,
it's Kobe Bryant with a horrible team. What's wrong with
(13:53):
the Lake? Kobe Bryant with powing and then buy them
and the Lakers are great. But you don't you know,
you didn't hear from who Jerry Buss, Right, but you
didn't hear you didn't hear from from Genie. That's my
point is that why can't I have it where we
built the equity and we're relevant, but we also win.
(14:13):
He's not starting he First of all, we know they
don't they don't. They don't understand like Jerry doesn't when
he's putting his teams together, right, He loves to draft
players and then pay those players he's drafted because it's like, no,
they deserve it, and it's here. That's why I think
(14:34):
the Michael Parsons deal is gonna get done in the
next couple of weeks. So he's everything is working the
way he wants it to work.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
Period. There is no his son Steven. They're not going
out and doing things.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Outside of of of what Jerry okays and what Jerry
wants to do. He doesn't mind us talking about Dallas
and how in f they are and I don't know
why he's doing this, and he should do this, and
he doesn't care all the criticisms, Floyd said. Floyd Mayweather,
(15:11):
we had talked about him a lot on the show yesterday.
He said, Look, I don't care if they're buying the
fight to see me win or to see me lose,
as long as they buy in the fight. Now, Jerry
doesn't care if we opt in to see him win
or lose, as long as we opt in.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Well, look, you just mentioned the deal getting done in
a couple of weeks where there's someone in the way
of that deal, at least a cordon, and Jerry will
tell you who's in the way.
Speaker 5 (15:37):
It is The od Couple.
Speaker 4 (15:38):

Speaker 3 (18:44):
I don't worry about now. Okay, talk that talk, Rob Gi.
All right, So get back to this Jerry Jones you
were talking about. You expect the deal in the next
couple of weeks with him and Micah finally finalizing us
A bunch of drama right now, the whole soap proper.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
But Jerry Jones was on with Michael Irvin. By the way,
you ain't exactly if you don't have a podcast at
this point matter of fact, or an athlete period, because
current athletes who are playing sports have podcasts included Micing Parses.
But here's what Jerry had to say about it.
Speaker 10 (19:12):
We wanted to send the details to the agent. The
agent soldiers to be asked. Mike and I talked, and
then we were going to send it over to the
agent and we had our agreements on term, amount, guarantees, everything.
We were going to send it over to the agent,
and the agent said, don't bother because we've got all
(19:35):
that to negotiate. Well, we've got this theory resolved in
my mind for the dollars cowboys, and we've got it done.
And if the agent wants to finish up the detail,
which is should and we're ready to go. But as
far as the amount of money, the years, the guarantees,
all of that we negotiate.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
No, he no better than that.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Okay, you go ahead because you you and you can
tell by the way he's telling the story, he doesn't
even believe that you know for a fact, you cannot
go into negotiation with a person or an entity or
a side and their negotiating partner the principle and the
(20:20):
negotiation isn't present.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
What does he have an agent for?
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Let's carry this conversation on the other side, because there's
a lot to get to with that. Bri is gonna
break it down. She's got what's trending. Let's go, Bree.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
It is The Odd Couple Kelvin Washington. We got Ephra
salim In on his TV thing. So on Thursday aching
ees sif back, Joyce not cooperating. No, I'm not talking
about Ephram and I I'm asking you. Some days your
body's just like m on those days. Luckily there's a
lead with just one pill of Lee provides up to
twelve hours of pain relief, so you can keep moving.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
Use as directed.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
All Right, The principal, the main person who is handling
these dealings, has to be in the room.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
Continued.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
It has to happen that way, that's negotiat you. It
doesn't hold up in court. It doesn't hold up in court.
Like even now, say you're getting married and you want
to do a prenup, but you give your wife or
your husband to be a prenup and they go through
it and sign it. The first question will be asked,
did you understand everything in it?
Speaker 5 (21:30):
And did you have a legal reprepresent? Yep?
Speaker 4 (21:33):
And if the answer is no, it's void. There is
a due process. Jerry's been doing this far too long
to think that he can corner a player under the
guise of talking about something else, because that came out
earlier too, that Micah went to the office and they
(21:55):
were talking about something completely different. It switched over to
contract talk talk, and it's probably one of those you know,
I hope about another five years. We love to have
you here for your whole career. Oh man, that sounds great, Jerry.
Now we gonna guarantee you about eighty percent of it,
you know, put you right up there in the top
with with your peers, and you know, we really love
(22:16):
for you to be here. And how does that sound
to you? And he's like, yeah, absolutely, you can't now
leave that conversation and be like boom, the deal's done.
I'm gonna send this to the agent. The deal's done. No.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
If I'm the.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
Agent, I'm saying wait to wait, no, hold on time out, No, no,
you negotiate with me, Jerry, and then I bring my
client into the fold. We talk about it, and then
we can redline it, we can agree to it. But
this is a negotiation. You have to have two parties negotiating.
(22:52):
Michael Parsons is not representing himself in contracts. That's why
he has the agent he has who represents a bunch
of high profile players. That's his job. Jerry's job is
to try to get a deal. That's his job. That's
(23:13):
what he does. And he'll tell you that I'm a
master negotiator. Yeah, if you're negotiating with people who don't
do this, who don't do it for a living, Michael Park,
that's like telling Michael Parson's agent to go sack the
quarterback on third and long.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
That's what that's like.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
If the deal is done, okay, every third down, Michael
Parson's agent will come onto the field and put pressure
on the quarterback.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
And I just don't don't I don't understand. Once again,
these are talking points Jerry goes on the podcast. That's
all we talk about. He knows what he's doing. Listen,
I don't even have to echo. As far as the
legal end of this. My wife is a lawyer, trust me.
I can't even do nothing myself without quote.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
If Fox called me right now, it was like, hey, yes,
sign real quick, and I just signed. My wife would
have my head on a speaker to your lawyers. She
let me see it. Let's go over, let's look at
this now. You know who I partly blamed for this,
or a large portion of the blame goes to Michaeh.
(24:25):
You remember what he said months ago right on his podcast.
Oh man, I want to be a cowboy for life.
Oh man, I don't even care about the money I
take less. I just want to rob g knows how
many times I bring that up. That that's literally there
you go. So what does Jerry do hear that?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Oh man, you got.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Him money, Schmney. You know I'm gonna take care of you,
worry about you. Look, you know how I did with Emmitt.
You know I got Michael. Looking you go through the
history of guy. I take care of my guy want
you're gonna get paid. You know you're gonna get paid.
Let's just make it and you're like, yeah, that sounds good.
That's why I said it. Then in real time, Rob
g knows listeners know, Micah, you don't do that. It's
(25:06):
not about you're the bad teammate or you're a bad person.
If you are a bad player, if you don't want
to know, you can want to be there. But I
don't have to articulate that on a on a broadcast.
I can tell my agent, hey man, ultimately I want
to be here, but we're gonna do what's best for
me because I have to be in the business of Micah.
Because let me tell you who the cowboys are. In
(25:27):
the business of the cowboy.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
And I tell people that in any industry, I don't
care if it's what we do, they do, you have
to be in the business of you because the entity
you're cooperating with, working with, they are in the business
of them. And so for that's why I was saying, Micah,
you let your agent agent, let him work or she work.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
I don't know who it is, but let them work.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
And so now here we are Dave Mullagetta so their
time agent big time.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Well he better be haveing Michael, so let Dave work.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
And now, of course, Jerry, when you called me with
some random back deal on a napkin, m hmm, that
I'm gonna be like, hold on, man, hey, hey, hey,
send that to my office. Let me talk about that,
let me take a look at that. So none of this,
none of this is surprising.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
And you still you still believe though ultimately it's gonna
get done.
Speaker 7 (26:17):
I do.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
I think it's gonna get done because this is a
pattern we've seen. When did Dak sign has deal? When
did the CD sign is deal? This is a pattern.
Even Ezekiel years back, we spent the whole offseason talking
about Dallas, not about their their draft picks, or what
(26:39):
type of team they're gonna be, or or the changes
they've made to get better. We spent the entire offseason
for the last three years talking about how an up
they've been and drawing out and signing these players and
drawing this out, only to have them going into the
(27:00):
regular season science field and delivered. That's now the talking point.
They're not going to be better than Washington, They're not
going to be better than the Eagles. They may not
be better than the Giants, So what would we be
talking about. I mean, if I this and this is
(27:22):
why we'll be frustrated. If I'm Dak Prescott in the
sense of I'm looking at it as all things considering
we're healthy again, why can't we be twelve and five?
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Right? A lot of the same core.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
I'm healthy, I'm ready to go, you know, new coach,
new vibe. Why can't we be back to that? Maybe
not literally twelve and five, but why can't we be
back to really competing in a hard team to beat then?
And I would be having that mindset, But again, it's
everything else. But if you are the coach or the
I'm sorry, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, let me
tell you one thing you.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
Used to at this point. Drama.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
You used to your name in the headlines, whether you
wanted to or not, your team in the headlines, whether
it merits it or not, Drama, controversy, all of that.
If you're listen, if you have, if you were QB
one with the star and your helmet, you have to
be used to this and whether that's Tony Romo, Troy
Aikman now Dak Prescott.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
Do you have to be used to that? This is
par for the course. So he has.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
David Mucgletta has Jaylen Ramsey, Deshaun Watson, Bubba Buddha Baker,
Michael Thompson, Michael Thomas, Jordan Love, aj Terrell, Michael Parsons,
and Kyle Pitts. He's more than proficient in negotiating. He
already got Jordan loves some Brett, right, he this is
what he does. Like I'm saying, but we don't want
(28:46):
to see him on third and long going out there
trying to put press. So why would you put a
player in position to do something he's not equipped to
do and he didn't sign up to do it because
Jerry likes to do the whole once a cowboy. Ah,
it's a cowboy, one of the team.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
You're my man. You know.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
It was like that fratenizing kind of a thing. So
he loves to get up on Michael Man. You know
it's them. Don't let him separate us.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Cool, we cool. Come on, man, I'm taking care of you.
You taking care of You're playing hard.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
I'm doing all of that fratenizing and kind of buttering up. Micah,
if you will so that, you know, even the fucking
Finago five million out of ten million out of it,
you know, short him a few, foul a few because
Jerry does get off Robgy on being the maverick and
making that deal, and you know, yeah, he enjoys that
part of it.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Everything you said about Jerry is right.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
But is he wrong though, because being a cowboy leads
to a lot of other things that you ordinarily wouldn't get.
Michael Parson's point blank period would not have a podcast
the Bleacher Report if he wasn't on the Gidallas Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
That's not true.
Speaker 7 (29:49):
How many other past rushers got podcasts that we talk
about on other networks. I mean, Von Miller is much
more accomplished than anything Michael Parsons has done. Yes, he
does that exactly one. And does anyone talk about the Pocket?
Speaker 5 (30:04):
Yeah? You know they literally on TV almost every.
Speaker 6 (30:07):
Day they do not talk about they talk about Michael Parsons.
Speaker 5 (30:10):
I mean, I'm at.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
The side with rob and what I'm saying that we've
said a thing or two from Cam. I get that,
But let me, Aaron Rodgers, let me tell you why
it's what Micah is saying. It's because it's the Cowboys.
You know, it's because of what he's saying. He'd be
saying some you'd be like, what is happening right now?
It is the combination of the two. It's the Cowboys,
it's the Cowboys star that. But he's he DeMarcus Lawrence leaving.
(30:35):
He clapping at him first right off the bat. You
ain't worth all that. I'm glad you go, like I'm saying,
it's what he like.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
Jaylen Ramsey has said some wild stuff, like there's a
Travis Kelsey before he got this really big deal with Wondery,
was saying some wild stuff on his podcast before and
now it doesn't really happen because he's more corporate, I
guess with this new thing. But Jerry Jones, for all
of his faults, is absolutely correct when he says, be
a Dallas cowboy has benefits. You're not gonna get anywhere.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Listen, if you were a quarterback with the Cowboys, You're
on TV. Jason Garrett's on TV, Tony Romo's on TV.
Troy Aikman's been on TV for now twenty some years.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
Dak Prescott deals with Danny Dak Prescott, Daryld Moose, Johnston
had a career for like fifteen years calling games.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
And if Emmitt Smith wonted two tomorrow, yep, Emm swift Wood.
Speaker 7 (31:24):
Michael Irvin, for all his falls, is gonna keep getting
media jobs because.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Stick with the quarterbacks. Relax man, you're just throwing anything
up here. Kill shout out to mm Smith. Relax man,
calm down. Just a four out of five is good
eighty percent. I passed. I got a good grade in
school with four out of five. I'm crying, yo oh man.
(31:51):
But yeah, we'll stick to the quarterbacks. We'll stick to that.
In a minute. In the minute, Dak Prescott's done with career.
If he chooses to be in TV, he will, he'll
get a shot. He'll get a shot. You gotta be
able to do it too, though, right, got to be
able to do a TV for twenty five years?
Speaker 5 (32:06):
Ever long?
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Tom Brady didn't you know, uh, well, he just got
third of a billion dollars or something crazy.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
You know, he didn't play for what? Did have they
reported with Michael Jordan's getting yet?
Speaker 4 (32:18):
No, because if Tom got two seventy five, three hundred whatever,
last three sixty, so.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
He working full time. We don't know what Michael's doing
yet with NBC.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
But if I'm Mike, or is a full time if
you go with he had one game a week, but
that's full time for that job.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
Yeah, but then did you play in the NFL for
fifteen years? You full time? You'll played sixty weeks.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
But it turns off though you're full time? Yeah, through
the season, like they're not using Tom Brady to do
a lot of money for We ain't seen him since
right twenty weeks of work two weeks here is not
covering this game right now? No preseason, he ain't doing
He's not doing any of it. He's a statueing veil.
Or it's not full time, Okay, it's a quarter of
(32:59):
a billion more than a quarter of a billion, third
of a billion dollars time work man.
Speaker 6 (33:05):
And everybody got choices.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
Everybody got choices.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
And mind you, I should have tried harder, and I
should have tried harder, and mind you, he can't even
do a lot of the stuff that he can because
he's a part owner, so he can't like go in
in certain places and some restrictions on him.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
He can't even go into meetings.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Yep, man, he just so if you send me the
notes if I'm g send me the note the talking points.
If I'm David Falk, Michael Jordan's agent, I don't know
if he's still his agent, but he was when he was,
you know, playing and all that. I'm looking at Mike like,
you don't want to do that and get it and
get a third of a billion dollars. But he would say,
I'm already getting in with my shoes every year, and I.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Can't argue with you.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
I mean, it's it's hard to move Mike, and I'm
interested to see how they're moving him and what that's
gonna be like. Man, Because when Mike talked, everybody listen.
But you think he's gonna be good? No, no, no,
I know because he he's coming from a different perspective
and no one can live up or reach that type
(34:04):
of perspective. Well, then tell me, okay, we're gonna do that.
On the other side, will Michael Jordan be good at
that at that job? And it depends on what position
they put in? Well, what's the best one?
Speaker 3 (34:13):
All right, we'll cover that and also play of the
Day on the way It's the Odd Couple. Kelvin Washington
e from in for Rob on a TV Things on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (34:21):

Speaker 3 (34:33):

man E from salam is in for Rob Parker. Rob
out and join some VAK time towards the end of summer.
So hopefully Rob is enjoying himself. Wishing him all the
best and safe travels. You know this one, all right,
give us the clue. Is a cartoon.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
Gotta be Looney Tunes, right, Okay, it's a cartoon. You
left me on. That's a good one, Rob, g you
know that one bre you don't know it. I don't
know what you don't know it, Okay, shalomed all of you.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
I guess I think I think your your family made
that in your home and like you thought everybody knew it,
but you only you knew Patrick would know it. It
is THEO that's gotta be racist. And now, folks, it
is time for the tire rack.
Speaker 11 (35:25):
Play of the day, Tonkin delivers and Kurt's a flyball
to shatterfield called back forward is buntioneer the track after
all looks up and it is gone home run for
kurts In the A's leads seven to two. That's number
twenty six for.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
Nick Oakland a's radio there and of course it is
brought to you by tire Rack. For over forty years,
Tirereck has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Ship fast and free back

Speaker 5 (35:57):
It is the way tire buying should be, all.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Right, Michael Jordon, Is it gonna be great on the
call when he gets with when he gets to doing
some NBA stuff with NBC, is he going to be
on the call? You think he's gonna do so? I
don't think he's gonna be calling games. Is he doing
one on one centis? Now, That's what I was saying.
Do you use him to sit down with Kawhi Leonard
making it up and you just you know, I'm glad
(36:21):
that you brought the mid range back to you know,
it was such a part of my game, COVID. Do
that specialized, but it can I can't see him sitting
at the table calling the game. Does he then he does?
Or you obviously have him. I don't want to be
I don't want to compare it to Charles. That's insane.
He's not he won't be that charismatic. But maybe he
(36:43):
is a Derek Jeter when he does some MLB stuff's
gonna be like a special contributor. Okay, he better not
just be doing voiceovers for stuff.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
No no, no, no, no no. I think.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
You know it's it's it's difficult, man, that's a that's
a big ask from you know, arguably the greatest basketball
player to ever play, and so you know, just hearing
the stories out of Wizard's Land when he was player,
you know, he had an expectation.
Speaker 5 (37:17):
I hope he's eased up. Everybody can't be you mine.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
I mean, you remember his Hall of Fame speech, right,
and that was we didn't I don't know if we
were saying the phrase petty wap then, but he was
Petty what might right now?
Speaker 5 (37:31):
Petty Bridgewater?
Speaker 4 (37:33):
So Peddy, I mean remember last dance Petty He got
emotional too started. So he's operating obviously on a whole
nother plane, whole other level. And he's never been but
he might be. There are someone that I saw somebody
(37:54):
had a pot Jordan Watt in here right now, the
whole place is shut down.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
I ain't gonna lie before I met him before.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Name another athlete right now that can walk in here
and it's just be like, oh snap.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
Lebron Ron.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
But it is different because Bron is more like Lebron.
Obviously I've been around him just with you know, being
around with the Lakers stuff, but like Bron would be more.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
Oh what I would up? You'd be more like, oh shoot,
what's up, Bron? Where is Mike?
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Michael?
Speaker 4 (38:27):
That's the difference. Wave at him or make eye contact.
It's just a different like Kobe before he died.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
Remember even.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Kobe, Kobe was more approachable because he gave that energy
off Mike. I'm trying to think if there's a same
Remember when he was teat into the room, Tiger. Remember
he walked into the room the best player. Everybody was
talking and even players were like when he walked in
a way tells the best story was that when he
walked in, man, it was like, oh snap, everybody started
stop talking. And he said the two best story He's
(39:00):
said magic and Mike went immediatelyly, ain't sizing each other.
Hold on, ain't what we want on site and he said.
Zeke was behind him and he's got his here grumbling.
He're like, man, I'm tripping and he keeps hearing grumbling.
And he turned around and it was Zeke like this.
Speaker 6 (39:15):
My love of here.
Speaker 5 (39:16):
He goes, Man, I can't believe he goes show like. Man.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
I tell people we want athletes nowadays to have all that.
I'm like, no, this has gotta get given those old
dudes ulcers. Because Zeke and Mike and Scotty, that's real
beef to the end of times.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
Bill and Beer and Scottie Pippen. That's beef to the
end of times. Yeah, that's not like ha ha man,
it's like, it's not Larry and Bird. It's not Larry
and Mike burning man.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
That was because you watched the Last Dance, by the way,
and let me let me say this all this man,
they wrapping it up. They cool if you watch the
Last Dance, man, Larry and Mike were so cool. After
the game, Karl alone waiting on him even after losing
the championship, waiting on him and the hobby and dapping
them up, stopped, And now I admit they weren't there
stily as allowed with it. No, they were competitors at
(40:03):
the highest man. They chopped it up, They golfed, they
hung out, how the kids. You know, so we we do.
We kind of oversell that little myth and that they
hated each other. No, they not all of them, just
a few did hate each other for sure. And uh
Isaiah Thomas and Michael Jordan elevator, somebody coming up lumped
