Yeah, I'm hanging on to my better. Let you better.
Let's hang it on to my mites because you never know.

we're in we're hanging and well one of us is Heather.
You've got Davontae Adams, Aaron Rodgers, all buddy buddy on
the pat maca mee so arms around each.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Other, reunited and it is so good. They are excited, happy.
Let me back together while we will talk about that.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
The big news of the day also Amari Cooper was
that was a sneaky tred it to Buffalo from Cleveland
and in Cleveland's thrown in the towel. So good move
by the Bills. So that and much more. But first,
let's welcome in the Eyd couple crew. We wouldn't be
able to do this fine radio program without him. Rob
g is our able body producer. Oop did I say

(03:12):
that he is our producer?

Speaker 5 (03:15):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Alex is our engineer of course, Elijah is our social
media guru. And Kevin Wired is at the anchor desk
and he'll keep us updated throughout the program. All right,
Jets lost last night. They did twenty three to twenty.
It was a good game. Aaron Rodgers looked good. He
did almost had three hundred yards, the receiver, wrong route,

(03:39):
fell down, whatever, and an interception at the end. They
had a good shot to win that game. But they
played way better. We could admit that. And then they
went out today and you know what, Kelvin, they did
the right thing. You go all in. You got a
forty year old quarterback. There's no five year plan. You're
not trying to wait till next year or down the road,

(04:01):
or Aaron Rodgers might not even play next year.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
You're not out of it. The season is still there.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
It would have been great had they won, they would
have been tied for first right at three and three. Instead,
they're two and four, a lot of games left to play,
and they feel like, why not, Let's go for it.
I applaud the Jets and ownership to just say, we've
already hitched ourselves to a forty year old quarterback. We
got to give him everything anything he needs. And for

(04:29):
Devonte Adams, I don't blame him. You know he went
there for Derek carrs because college quarterback that blew up
in his face when they jettison Derek Carr out of
Las Vegas. They don't know who they're gonna run at quarterback. Now,
they got a couple guys and.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
They probably Tom Brady at right quarterback.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I mean like, like, so, so there's no quarterback there
in Las Vegas, so why would he want to stay there?
This all makes total sense, and he had so much
success with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Do I mean
that this is gonna this puts them over the top. No,
there's no magical elixa for this team with his franchise.
But Kelvin, you add a talent like that, you can't

(05:11):
tell me it's not gonna make the other pieces parts
even better.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I think it makes them a wee bit better. I
think it makes them a little bit better. I don't
think all of a sudden puts them over the top
end now they're better than the Bills, or they're better
than some other teams in the AFC. I think it
just adds a little bit of a familiarity, which Aaron
Rodgers seems to love. I mean, my goodness, he is
definitely you know how you want to go into. I'm
gonna start clean. I want to start fresh. I want
a new environment. I want to build onto something. Aaron

(05:37):
Rodgers said, give me the same thing, just in a
different location. Give me the same receivers I had, Give
me the same offensive coordinator I had. He wants it
all in the same place, just in the big apples.
So listen, they went all in and they've literally given
him the case to the Kingdom, which again I've never
had a problem with as much as saying this is
what you're doing. I hope it works because now there's

(06:00):
really no built in excuses anymore. If Robert Salah was excuse,
he's gone. If you know you wanted your own offensive coordinator,
Nathaniel Hackett, obviously he was there for a couple of
years and now he is in a demoted position, but
he's there. You wanted this receiver, you got him. You
wanted that receiver, you got him. Now you want Devonte Adams,
you got him. So I think this there's no more

(06:20):
excuses for Aaron Rodgers, really for Devonte Adams too. You're
with now your second hand picked quarterback. So go out there, ball,
make it happen, and get this offense back going, which
is like in the lower twenties right now, offense looks bad,
looks stagnant.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Came alive a little bit last night, almost do for
three hundred yards last night.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, but defense, they're still making something's off rob Like
they're getting so many offensive penalties, false starts, Receivers aren't
in the right place. It's like something's off here, and
they're not built right now based off an identity or
coach like this is who we are, this is what
we do, and They're trying to figure that out on
the fly while they keep also changing things.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
We're trying to figure out who we are, trying to
figure out who we are. New coach, trying to figure
out who we are, trying to figure new offensive person
playing making calls, a new interim coach, trying to figure
out who we are, trying to figure out who we are.
Now we got Devonte Adams, so it just seems like
they're like a hamster in the wield, just spinning, spinning,
spinning space.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
The teams that have the same thing, the Dallas Cowboys
have the same stuff in place.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
I don't want to be like Dallas. I'm just saying
I'm trying to be like Kansas. They have this sam
stuff from place, and it doesn't mean that you're gonna
win because it's the same as what I'm saying. Sometimes
you need to make changes if things aren't working, and
obviously it wasn't working where they are.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Let me just give you numbers.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
The last four years together in Green Bay, it's eighteen
to twenty twenty one. Adams average one hundred and nineteen receptions,
roughly one four hundred and sixty three yards and fourteen
and a half touchdowns per season. I mean like when
he left Green Bay, it was like Green Bay, Las Vegas,
the Hall of Fame, and.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Now are we going there? I'm not positive or it's not.
He's another year too, you know what I mean. He
was going there from with those numbers in Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Which is why I'm always a firm believer when we
have these conversations about you know, just outside of the quarterback,
these players, these positions that you want to me again,
That's why I want a TJ.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Watt, That's why I want a Miles Garrett.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
That's why I wanted Aiden Hutchinson because those guys, no
matter who's on the team, no matter who's making the calls,
they can produce.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
They can play hard.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Devanta Adams, he's a couple of years removed, like you said,
from from the great Devanta Adams. I think there's still
some in that tank. I still think he can be
very productive. With Aaron Rodgers, I just don't think that's
quite the issue. I don't think it was singularly just man,
if we had a Vanta Adams, we're good to go.
I don't think I gotta think they gotta keep running the.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Ball more they got to keep protecting Aaron because Aaron
is not mobile as he used to be, and he
is not the same guy when under pressure, and so
you got to make sure you're protecting him.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
But they went all in, and I'm not listening. You
got what you wanted, You've got what you asked for.
Now they have no choice but to go out there
and make it happening.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Ball.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
I just think a talent like that and he's available
for a third round, conditional, you got to make that
that that that's not like.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
A mortgage in the future, you know what I mean. Sorry,
Now they're like, we are winning now. If it ain't
this year because you said it, Aaron Rodgers might be
not might be there. Maybe you don't want to do
anything with Dante Layers. So you got to go all
in and give yourself a fair shot. This organization that
at least has one super Bowl, there's a lot of

(09:28):
teams that never even want to do that.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
No, no, because you do that all the time, somebody
at least a long time, at least a one to one.
But I'm just saying one more time. They still want
a Super Bowl. You can say whatever you want. A
lot of teams Bowl. That was that an NFL championship. No,
that's what the Lions have about that. Like the Lions,
and there's about a handful of the teams that have

(09:51):
either never even been to the Super Bowl or never
never won one. All I'm saying is for the Jets,
nineteen sixty nine is a long time and you're not
on anything.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
You're going to do whatever you can add talent. That's
all they did is they've added talent to the team.
I'm gonna throw this at you, Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
One thing that I think we all know is like
you and Rob G, you and I are building this report,
we're building equity. You and rob G have it, you know,
and Alex and Elijah guys have been here, so like
rob G can probably say something to you, Hey, Rob,
I didn't like this or don't do that, or hey
man on Tuesday we're gonna do and you can be
all right you know what?

Speaker 5 (10:24):
Yeah, I can bring it.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Oh No, my panties might be in a bunch if
he says, okay, you'd be sensitive thug like that, Like
Jay Zves once said, sensitive thug.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
Do you all need hugs you right now?

Speaker 7 (10:34):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
The reason I bring that up is one thing that
Aaron Rodgers is doing a lot of. He's doing a
lot of pointing fingers and calling people out. And if
you're Patrick Mahomes, I've built that equity within the Chiefs,
you're Tom Brady when you were with U the Patriots,
I've built that equity.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
If you're you know, even Jared Goff now in three
seasons three four seat with the Lions. Did you did
you see when Tom Brady's with Tampa Are you ignored that?

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Did you see what? Did you see his hand full
of rings?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
No? No, did you see what I did? What did
he do in Tampa Bay? When when wide receivers call
him out and he and he and he bashed his
iPad on the on the bay and he has earned
remember to earn. That is where I was going saying,
is when you've played that long, you've had success. Aaron Rodgers,

(11:18):
whether he's there five minutes or or five years, he's.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Still more accomplished than anybody there. He's got four oldp
you're gonna hang on to the movie. He's going on
r m VP. Tom Brady doesn't even have four him.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
I know, and.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
No.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
But my point is that everybody don't win for him. Listen,
let me be very clear about this.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Aaron Rodgers up until about five years ago was my
top two or three most talented football players I've ever seen,
just pure talent. Not winning this at the Super Bowl,
just pure talent. I was an Aaron Rodgers guy in
the sense of man that he gets it done. He's talented,
but I need to see more at a certain point,
and especially now when it's always something he's talking. I'm
I mean, I don't know who's on my TV more
eleg is it Jerry Jones or Aaron Rodgers? And I

(12:04):
don't mean because they're playing, I mean interest that this
is my podcast.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
This started this. Aaron Rodgers owns the TV networks to
put him on? Is that what happened? Does he own them?
I'm sorry? Is he not a girl man who can decline? Okay,
so I'm just asking you decline any anything that costs
some five dollars. I think he can decline going on TV?

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Is he?

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Well, they were paying him a million dollars to go,
and you can say no.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Sometimes I'm not maying, know to a million dollars to
come out to the league ten minutes and my point
is he's doing.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
He's talking on the time doing. Is he calling players out?
That has to be exhausted. So he better start winning
because that has to be Like br I'm tired of
hearing all that and seeing all you everywhere. Turn on
my TV, sit down, come out here and ball with us.
Come make it happen. You don't like man, you don't
like guys on podcasts all the time. But over Aaron
Rodgers can do Pat McAfee six times a week.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
No, My point is he does.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
He does Pat McAfee and he wasn't even doing it, raymon,
I can't stop doing it right, rob G's not even
doing it.

Speaker 5 (12:59):
That was just no, he doesn't know. But he doesn't
have a week on every week. I thought he stopped.
He's on every week. He might have been a multipak
last week. He's last three week.

Speaker 8 (13:08):
The only time that he missed last week was because
it was in the wake of this solid firing, so
they gave him an extra day before you.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I'm gonna say, I know I haven't seen I haven't
seen him on macavy. I have been put your glass.
He never missed Pat McAfee.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
That is part of it. I never missed Pat McAfee,
I never miss it, so I never I never seen
it even miss more or should I say less? W McAfee,
Well both, okay, I it's gonna say both, all right.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Uh eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine, the Jets
make the right decision to push all in and trade
for DeVante Adams. Uh. It is the Odd Couple, Rod
Parker Kelvin Watchington on the Trash Talking Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
We'll continue that conversation next.

Speaker 9 (13:52):
With you stick and stay, unless, of course, you too
know Aaron Rodgers and will be traded to the Jets
in the US.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (14:00):

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Yeah, I don't know what you want today? What did
you What did you eat today? I had a Pronzel
from three That's what it is. That old three day
old pretzels got them all twisted up.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Prob G.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Don't act like you never ate a three day old pretzel. Never,
what are you so disappointing? Here's the thing, people America.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
You think sometimes he's hamming it up, trying to be
funny for the radio. For you, he's dead serious that
he went to a Dodger game on Sunday. On Sunday,
I got now eating a pretzel. Mind you, this isn't
like some gourmet pretzel burger, you know what I mean,
where the bun is a pretzel, but it's really about
the burger and the bacon and the No. This is
a regular old pretzel you get in a ballpark. Who

(14:59):
he put in his backpack like he was nineteen year
old poor college student to say, who, I might need
some food later, some substence. Dude, I would totally get
it if you were again young, or if you said,
i'mna eat it tonight, my little midnight snack.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
I'm a turn on some Netflix, relax and just chill.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
What do you mean It's all right? It tastes very good.
I warmed it up, spunkling a little water on the top,
put in the microway. It felt like it just came
off the spit or you.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
Know what's funny, I've never wanted you to get married
more so than right now.

Speaker 9 (15:29):
Rob, Are you telling me that you literally put a
three day old pretzel in a two thousand dollars Gucci bag?
That's what that's the movie. Great point, No way, Travis
Scott shoes, Come on. I witnessed it. I know we
had that conversation. I brought this backpack and they know
because I was really guilty about it. It was a
five thousand dollars backpack and then I was complaining about

(15:51):
the extra eight cent twenty cents for the drake over
at the story.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
You really don't as much as you think you like yourself.
You don't like you.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Alright, let's do where you eat the stuff you eat.
And I'm not even saying healthy, I'm saying quality, Like
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Nobody cares about it.
You spent you know what, No, but no, Alex, you
spent all these years with him and you haven't changed it.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
And I give up. Hope. I tried you, and I
know you did. Brother.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Coming to you live from the I can't believe we

let's go Harry in San Francisco. You're in the couple
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
What's up, Harry?

Speaker 7 (16:48):
Hey, what's going on? Boys?

Speaker 5 (16:49):
What's up doing? Great?

Speaker 6 (16:52):
Cool man?

Speaker 10 (16:52):
I'm gonna I'm gonna say I'm gonna stay on the.

Speaker 7 (16:54):
Thread of bashing Rob right now.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
So get ready, all right, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (16:59):
Hey, So I'll answer the question real quick.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
Davante Adams moved for the Jets.

Speaker 10 (17:03):
Great move, of course, great move, great receiver, and of
course he's got his camaraderie with his boy Aaron Rodgers.
So I think they're gonna get the band back to
get us somewhat, and they're gonna get going. I gotta say,
I gotta say this last week, well, a couple of
days ago, well, I feel like it wasn't that long ago.
I called in and you told me, and you had
some pushback on the theory that Aaron Rodgers was pulling

(17:25):
all the strings, and then all of a sudden I
turned my right here on today and you're saying, oh,
thank you, thank you, jets or good job jets.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Letting No, no, no, no, no, Harry, I'm not gonna
let you go. Hold on no, because it was about
the Robert Sola firing and that it was because Aaron
Rodgers didn't want his boy Hacket to be fired, and
that's why Sala got it. And then Hackett wound up
getting demoted anyway, so Aaron didn't.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Save his job.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
That's what I was talking about. Of course they want
to reunite those guys. Appreciate the call, Harry. Hey, I'm
still I'm with Harry. Aaron just making all the moves
right now, Alex hit me with my tires.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
What more do you want from me? Because that's what
if you got to request that do you want? If
you got to me?

Speaker 4 (18:08):
When I request off, Alex gives me a dirty look.
So don't do this for Kelly, say, first of.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
All, talking about report if he if he been working
together twenty two years.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
If it was just right, if it was just like there,
Alex would already know it. I never had to prompt Alex.
You just have the field for the show, is what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Hey, hey, Alex, you know I ain't listened to another Listen,
Alex in the old days, I did you just hit
the what do you mean the whole days?

Speaker 5 (18:35):
You it once? Listen Listen. I'm not gonna do that.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I showed her how the sausage is made up in here,
because all I know is Rob g is propping you up.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
Okay, Rob he me propping you up?

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Over you.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
She is, No, it's this is my favorite part. Let
me talking. This is my favorite part.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
When you're thinking about the cook you grab your little glass,
you start putting them on, and you make sure you
get to your rodd text total Hevy, you know what, Calvin, those.

Speaker 5 (19:08):
Of Rogie I mean, I see those are my notes.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
I just want to make sure I get him meerc
of all, you know, your font is like forty two.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
I can see the discovery. It's like a tunnelproptic. Can
you say news in the morning over here?

Speaker 6 (19:23):
All right?

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Doug in New York you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
What's up, Doug?

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Hi you guys doing since the twitch over?

Speaker 7 (19:32):
I actually I love the show a big fan.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Appreciate you man, Rob.

Speaker 7 (19:36):
You know, I would always say, it's not your show,
it's our show. That's why it's my favorite show.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
No doubt.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Doug and Uh, I'm glad you're still on with us
and still following and listening to the show.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
Appreciate you, Doug, And yeah means a lot.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
It's a great show.

Speaker 7 (19:49):
You guys do a good, good job, very good job.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
I have to say that with them, the GM, the owner,
they had to make this craze. There's no out that
they had to because if it failed, it's not on them.
They can blame Aaron Aaron Rodgers. They have something to
fall back on. They needed to make it.

Speaker 6 (20:10):
I mean, this offense is struggling very much.

Speaker 7 (20:12):
So I think that they I read that today that
they have the same amount of yards today as they
did with Zach Wilson last year, and I I I
guess you guys want to look that up.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
I think you're going into yesterday's the thing.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
Yeah, the numbers are the same. It's actually staggering.

Speaker 7 (20:35):
It's something for them to fall back on. I mean,
you fired the coach that that that's a rough move,
but it's something to fall back on for the GM
and the owner that Aaron wanted him here. This is
what the remedy was for this offense. That it's terrible
and and they don't even think about like the penalties
and the things like that.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Well most of the other things that you keep shooting
yourself in the foot, and that's what call yeah, get stalled,
get stalled, moved back.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
All the defensive and rough in the pastor they had
a couple bad ones. Some of them are a little
questionable from the rest, but they keep shooting themselves up.
A couple were questionable. A whole bunch of cheddar Bob
going on right now, All right, all right, from Salam's
gonna join us. We'll continue the conversation, get hits offt
on that in just a minute. Right now, we are
going over to.

All right, joining us now, coming in live from the

Live and Fox Sports Radio Weekend hosts.

Speaker 5 (21:42):
He from Salam on ex Twitter, what's up? Brother?

Speaker 6 (21:46):
What's going on? Man? Hey man? I don't like when
y'all be going I don't like when y'all going back
and forth and you couldn't into my time.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Okay, y'all you know what day to hang out with Ephraim.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Make sure you point that his way. I was trying
to let Kevin do his job, and then he over
here interrupted, Kevin.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
We'll give you an extra makeup two minutes, will be
will wreak my minutes? Okay, let's do it all right.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Davanta Adams Aaron Rodgers reunited and it feels so good.
I understand Davante Adams, and I understand the Jets. Davante's
there were no quarterback in Las Vegas and the Jets
offense isn't great, so why not make it happen? And
it didn't cost him money.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
My only trepidation is he left Aaron Rodgers and put
himself in a similar situation.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Now.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
I say similar about the uncertainty at the position, not
in terms of overall talent, We know Aaron Rodgers is
a first ballot Hall of Famer, right, but we have
not seen that Aaron Rodgers, nor has he thrown for
three hundred yards in three years. So him leaving the
situation he's in with at Oakland ninety four counterpack, right,

(22:51):
and so going to a Jets team that they may
have Aaron Rodgers for the rest of this year, but
that's it. But once again he will be placed in
a situation where he's on the outside looking out at
the neighbors grass like, hey, maybe I'll jump over there.
For me, I thought Buffalo would be the perfect spot
for him. We know Josh Allen isn't going anywhere for

(23:12):
at least a decade, so they definitely need to help
over there. He could have been featured, So for me,
it made sense in that way. But I get the
friendship angle, but that's what got him in a situation
in Oakland. He wanted to go play with his quote friend,
you beat me.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
Right to it.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
I was just gonna say, sometimes being with your buddy
ain't always the best thing. You can just hang out
on the weekends and the summers an offseason to hangout.

Speaker 5 (23:33):
You don't have to necessarily be on the same team.
Let me ask you this eprom.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
One of the other hidden things I think now that
they got Davante and they fire Robert Salad kind of
taking all the headlines, is that they aren't really a
fundamentally sound team. They're not blocking well, they're causing penalties,
false starts, guys roughing the passer calls, guys aren't running
routes in the right time. So as much as yeah,
we got devond Adams, they're not doing the extras and

(23:57):
those the little things to be a good team.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
Right.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Yeah, So that game was hard to watch last night.
I was excited to see what the new Jets were
going to look like without Robert Sala. Well, they didn't
look any better. Of course, breist Hall got more involved
in the game plan, it felt, and it seemed like
at certain points in that time in the game, during
the game that Aaron Rodgers so more comfortable, except when
receivers didn't run the right round, or they dropped the pass,

(24:25):
or the timing was off. But the thing that you
hit it, Kelvin, The inexcusable thing is the penalties. At
one point, I believe it was six seven penalties in
the row had like, I don't care who the coach
is or who the quarterback is. If you continually put
yourselves in holes or allowed teams to extend drives, then

(24:48):
you're going to be a terrible team. I don't care
who's throwing the ball, who's catching the ball, and what
route is being ran. It can't happen. They should. That's
what they need to focus on, all right. They obviously
have the talent there, but they need to focus on
the little things. Okay, if it's first and ten, it's
a lot easier to get a first down when it's

(25:09):
not first in twenty, first and fifteen. That's just numbers
to clean that aspect up. Or it's going to be
a long season.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
See from what longer season are you?

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Are you surprised or not surprised that the stealers are
making a change at quarterback. I mean, all indications are
if some practice goes right and everything, that Russell Wilson
will be the start.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Are you surprised by that or not?

Speaker 6 (25:31):
I'm a little surprised. I thought Justin Fields gave them
a spark. Uh, he's not turning the ball over. But look,
I get it. You feel like you have a team
that can compete defensively one of the top teams in
the league. You know they can run the ball, so
you feel like, even though they haven't offensively, reached their

(25:52):
full potential in terms of what you feel as a
head coach and as a staff, you're like, Okay, we
don't want to miss out plugging Russell's and and and
it's getting better.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Give it a chance.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
You don't want to get to week nine, week ten
and then be like, oh, okay, let's try to hurry up,
uh and and and write the ship like we've seen
them do the last couple of years, just squeaking in
over five hundred. So it's a lot of pressure on
Mike Tumblin to have an all pro quarterback sitting on
the bench and your offense not quite clicking like it should.

(26:29):
So I can see him wanting to make a change
just to see what it looks like, just to give
it a taste, to see what it looks like. And
if Russell goes out there Sunday and has a tremendous game,
then that question has been answered.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
And the other thing too.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
I mean, you're right, justin Fields didn't turn the ball
over like he was in Chicago. Turnover machine. But he
also didn't light it up.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
I mean, let's just allow him to They're not allowing
him to throw the ball down the field.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
But that's the reason. That's that's not for a reason
out of just doing it.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
I get it. I understand they're trying to manage their
experience of him and protect him. Now you can open
up the playbook with Russell Wilson. That's also something they
be talking about. Hey, we need to take advantage of
plays down the field. Are these different set of plays
that we know Russell Field's comfortable with to expand what
teams are able to do against us defensively.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Yeah, I think that.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I've always said they had the greatest break in case
of emergency, right justin Field's working out?

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Are you right with that?

Speaker 1 (27:27):
If you choose to go to Russell Wilson, you got
Russell Wilson in a potential Hall of Famer in the background.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
I would have wrote out Justin Field some more.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
That's just me eat from salam our guests, of course,
former NFL offensive lineman, Fox Sports Radio weekend host. You've
got two minutes to overtime. You still got some time here.
I'm looking at some other moves. We didn't really talk
about you. You mentioned it, Amari Cooper. Well, you mentioned
Devonte Adams. You thought in Buffalo, but Buffalo said, if
we can't get him, then we got Amrik Cooper that
move and then also just thought they didn't need Stefan Diggs, right,

(27:56):
he say they needed number one and also just another.
Do the Lions make a move too, says everybody else
making moves. Do they go get a the lineman, a
defensive lineman to replace Hutchinson.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
Yeah. Look, I'm all for what Buffalo did with Amark Cooper,
and I know Marius Happy. He's out of the side
show that is Cleveland and Deshaun Watson. Everybody's still holding
their breasts, trying to wait to see if he has
a semblance of what he was back in Houston before
he got suspended. It's not happening. They're clearly on different pages.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Now.

Speaker 6 (28:26):
Amari hasn't helped himself. He's dropped some critical passes this year.
But when you're discontent, man, you tend to not focus
in as much as you should. You're not as precise
as you can. Just getting him from under that Deshaun Watson,
Cleveland Ara and getting him to a place that has
a legitimate chance of getting deep into the playoffs at

(28:48):
least the AFC Championship game and competing for a super Bowl.
It's a great situation. Buffalo just to throw all they
had at DeVante Adams. They had a backup plan and
it's a pretty good backup playing And in terms of Detroit,
they need to go get somebody else because they have
a team that doesn't I mean JJ Reddick, I mean
not J J Reddick, but Reddick. Yeah, I mean he

(29:12):
just over there with the Jet's not gonna sign.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
He's just sitting there, just waiting.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Right.

Speaker 6 (29:15):
Hey, man, let's make it happen. We're trying to do
something over here. Let me Matt Crosby. Crosby from the
Raiders Records ain't doing nothing.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
Yeah, brought back he went to Eastern Michigan, bringing back
to Michigan.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
One last thing here he from uh and you talked
about Deshaun Watson and the stat that came out is
that the Browns are one for the last twenty seven
on third downs.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
How is that possible in the NFL?

Speaker 6 (29:38):
Seriously, you just's not attention to detail. But once again,
once it's with his certain law is certain long all right,
they haven't shown the ability to actually run the ball.
So even in third and shorts, you're not fooling anybody.
Deshaun Watson doesn't scare you down the field, the receivers
court doesn't scare you. You're playing right into the defensive hands.

(30:00):
If you do make a mistake and you're in long yardage,
it's just very, very rare. But you would think, you know,
a clock is right two times at least two times
a day, and they they in three hours. They just
can't get it right when it comes third down.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Yeah, it looks awful out there.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Afra Salama, guy gave you the extra, got your minutes
back to That's why time.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Just want the cap on Kelvin. He talks about Kevin.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
We're gonna appreciate you absolutely so.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Is this what I gotta deal with when you not
even right yet? That's the funny part. You ain't even
right and I gotta deal with this. What do you
mean you might not even be right? That's the best
part about it.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
I can't wait. I hope my time. I love my
team and Justin Field is gonna be a guy. Oh,
I can't wait. I can't wait, all right, we have.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
The Dodgers had surprise visitor in the dugout. Will tell
you who that was? Also shekels see let me see
your face. Let me see if you're smiling, if you
looking at it?

Speaker 5 (30:55):
All right? Doing them and say that I can always
tell by your face.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Welcome to Shekel City, the home base for Rob Parker's
Daily Dix against the scrap.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Cheko City last night one and two uh season total
thirty one and forty three. I have to need to
come back, definitely, and only the Yankees Guardians game tonight
in the Bronx.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
I got the Yankees minus one and a half. That's
my best bet.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
And I'm also got the over in this game, even
though it is seven runs, even though Garret Cole is pitching,
and I don't expect him to give up a lot
on the Guardian side. But I expect the Yankees gonna
put some numbers up, a cooking number today.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Too late to put my bet on and go under
because you went over. Yeah, you can do one. Let
me do it, bet.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
I just got a leadoff double by uh Glabor Torres,
so nobody out man on second for the Yankees in
the first and again Yankees minus one and a half
and the over for the Yankees Guardians over seven. Remember, Kelvin,
I'm not telling you, excuse me, who did I'm not

(33:02):
telling you who to vote.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Hold on, You're not telling me nothing right now? Wait,
I'm okay? Was it the yeah? I don't know. I'm
not telling you I had a glisy in my mouth.
I'm telling you. You're telling you who I bet? All right?
What out on?

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Oh great?

Speaker 5 (33:24):
All right, you weren't telling me nothing. Rob, I'm not
because I'm here, but I'm if you all right?

Speaker 10 (33:33):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (33:34):
First, Soto just got to hit the first two Yankees have.
I mean, you might tell you about what might get
the offhense going. They might get it going.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
I ha't been strange, but uh, real quick, just some
of the star players throughout this this postseason have not
shown up in the ways of what you inspect him to.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
And it seems like every team has that star player.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
You're like, uh, you all right, you know it was
we obviously Mookie bets re quite some time even showing
show hey right now with no one on what people
are on, he's good.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
When they're not, he's off.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
So it's interesting speaking up by the way, speaking of
baseball and Dodgers and whatnot, Rob g jump on ot here, brother.

Speaker 5 (34:07):
Sure.

Speaker 8 (34:07):
So the Dodgers, as you guys know, lost Game two
in the NLCS to the Mets yesterday, But interestingly enough,
another headline emerged from that game, and that's because in
the fifth inning, when they were down by six runs,
a snake showed up in their dugout, not like a
like a fake snake or a prop snake, but a
legitimate reptile swimming.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
Through their dugout. What yah?

Speaker 8 (34:27):
And in fact, after the snake showed up, the Dodgers
rolled off three runs, They're like, hey, this might be
a rally snake d up being to be in the case,
guys are still a little bit uncomfortable. So it got
me thinking if that was you in that situation, would
you been able to function, much less play in a
high leverage baseball game with a snake at your feet?
And if not, what's something else that you might have

(34:48):
an irrational fear about?

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Yeah, and what if it was a bat? Rock Parker, No, well,
we had a bat in hit.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
I was scared to tell you are because if you
ever jump on my lap like that, Yeah, that was
not good.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
Get off, Ropper, What are you doing? But it's it's
for me. It would be like a rat. You're from
New York.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
No, I'm just make it makes sense. You're from New York.
You guys are literally known for like slices of pizza.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
And rats and rats that carry slices of you've seen that.
I have a rat walking around with a whole slice
of pizza in his mouth. Wait, explain the rat there?
How I just don't like rats? Is that why he
moved away for so long? You've been going for?

Speaker 6 (35:27):
Like right?

Speaker 5 (35:28):
I just know I just have a thing with rats.
I saw that movie Willard when I was a kid,
and it spooked me.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
Mine mine would be not really a thing like I mean,
obviously if it freaking Anda Conda was in here or something.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
But heights, I fly, I go up the tall buildings.
But it's one of those Yeah, this is beautiful, baby,
I love it. But like I'm like, I've been on
stone Table Mountain in South Africa, which is I've been
on a lot of different things, but heights for me, man,
I get.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
A little get a little queasy. Gee, what do you got?

Speaker 8 (36:01):
I'm afraid of heights and which doesn't make any sense
because I've done a lot of things. That's aquire at
high same here and also you're close to the ground exactly.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Doing for bringing that up again that I appreciate it.
Thank you, Alex. What is it a non vegan slice
of cake?

Speaker 4 (36:16):
No? No, whatchus I don't know, not enough time. Well,
you're afraid of somebody else, you know, he's afraid of
a government. Take the odd couple of fox sportuait On.
All can stay unless it's the government. Take USA.
