He convinced. I couldn't. Oh what up? Man, Happy wors

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Man, we go already I know the topics. Just they

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Oh, there's plenty of stuff to talk about. It's like
that some days. You know, a lot of news going
on and stuff to get to. So we'll have so
much to do, uh and talk about so much a lot.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Of NBA stuff. But first, let's welcome in the.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Odd couple crew, because you wouldn't be able to do
this find radio program without them.

back in business now, all right, you just had to
get it out the way. Good, that's it. We're all good, okay. Hey.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
For over forty years, ty tyro rack has been helping
customers find the right tires for how, what and where
they drive, ship fast and free back by free road
hazard protection and convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.
That's right, tyre rack dot com the way tire buying

(05:02):
should be a.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Lot of stuff to get to. Rob G.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Let's kick it off with the news coming out of
Milwaukee and uh and Yannis.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 9 (05:14):
It's something that's been percolating now for several months, but
we got an official word today. According to ESPN, Yannis
and his representatives will be reevaluating their future there in Milwaukee.
They planning meet with the front office here in the
coming weeks to have some kind of resolution, which all
signs pointing to Jannis out at the Goupo officially demanding

(05:35):
a trade at in Milwaukee.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Hold on, Rob G, say his name again, Jannis out
at the Goupo. I'm going to rename him Kelvin on
this very day to Jannis, I think it's time for
me to go.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
And that's where he is.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Jannis has turned into the new Benedict Arnold. I thought
Jannis was different. I thought he wasn't like all of
these American basketball players who don't want to win on
their own, who were AAU driven and let's team up
and let's do this and let's not have the competition.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I love Jannis.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I am absolutely heartbroken that he fell into this. Jannis,
you want a championship, go ask Chris Paul whether he
wants to whether he wanted to win a championship. Go
ask Charles Barkley, Go ask Patrick Ewing.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
I'll just go on and on and on about all.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
These great players who would die to have a championship.
And guess what you did when people told you were
foolish and you were dumb and all these other words
that because you decided to stay in Milwaukee and you
wanted to do your own thing and not nt followed
the crowd.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
I admired you. I praised you.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I thought to myself, thank God, he's not cut from
the same cloth that these other lemons are lemmons, you
know what I'm saying. But instead, here you are, when
the tough kids going. Now you're ready to bail on Milwaukee,
and y honest, I have just one thing to say
to you. I hope you find happiness wherever it is

(07:26):
that you want to go. But every night, I'll say
to myself before I go to sleep, I hope Yiannis
never wins another championship.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
That's where I am today. Listen.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I knew this was coming, you know, we talked about
this during the offseason. Rob and I knew this was
coming because I knew Yannisy he talks about it.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I want to win multiple. I want to win the multiple.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
One day, say won one championship, that's good, it's not
good enough for me, Like he wants to be considered
one of the all time greats who have multiple championships.
And we'll talk a little bit later on my thoughts
a little bit more about him, but right now, organizationally,
to me, this is one of those times where it
can have been a clean split.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Last season, you know, they could have found that.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
They obviously reports that the only team that was really
in the worst was the Knicks. There was conversations there,
but they couldn't really find a way to make that happen.
Because he's been there all of these years. You would
agree that's why you loved him. Bloots wet Tears found
and got them a championship to a team in an
organization that generally doesn't And at a certain point if
he felt it was time to leave, there was He
is the superstar to me that could have had the

(08:34):
clean cut, could have said, you know what, I've tried
my best, we had a great run.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I'm ready to just move on.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
It's best for both parties, and they could have done
that amicably and moved on. But the stringing it along,
I don't want to leave or I do want to leave,
putting pressure on an organization. They're not putting pregnant show
an organization. Then reports about the Knicks. Then now this
new report that they're gonna have a conversation to me,
just leave, if you're gonna leave, kind of you know,
if you're gonna stay, stay, I'm tiptoeing around it because

(09:01):
this is where it gets messy. This is where fans
who might have said, you know what, I have no issue.
He gave us his all for twelve years.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
He can move on.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Now it gets weird, mixed messages, I'm staying, I'm leaving,
I'm going, I'm staying. I don't want to leave. And
this is where it can get bad. Rip the band
aid off and go on bout your business. If it's
time to go, it's time to go. As you said,
then it's.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Time to go.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
It gets weird, it gets murky, it's gonna get it's
gonna get ugly. He's gonna end up leaving where Milwaukee
fans hate him, where he's one of the rare superstars
to me who could have parted ways and have.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Been like you know what, and they should and they
should hate him, they should burn his jersey, they should
do all that other craziness that fans do and say,
get lost, don't let the door hit you on the
way out.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Because I really.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Believed he was a different cat, and he walked to
his own beat, but ultimately he caved. There's a lot
of great players you talk about winning multiple Can I
give you some names I mentioned Charles Barkley, Call Malone,
John Stockton, Elgin Baylor, Chris Paul, James Harden, Allen Iverson.
I could give you Reggie Miller, Patrick Ew and Steve Nash,

(10:06):
Dominique Wilkins.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
It ain't a birthright that you win multiple championships, I
agree with that is fan fodder, that's BS okay.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
And you can't tell me that if Isaiah Thomas never
won those two championships with the Pistons, I wouldn't think
he was a great player, because it doesn't mean you're
not a great player.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Obviously, you want to win.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
And what made him so special is that he was
able to win in a place where it's hard to win,
you know, And I think that's.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
What made his career.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
His one championship in Milwaukee is worth two in NBA
America because it's that hard.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
He didn't go to some franchise that's always won.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
You know, you could go look at the Celtics and
Paul Pierce and all those they put together, They made
the trades, got a team together.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
How many did they win? They won one and they
had three they had won. Lebron's been playing for four
forty years, He's got four championships. It ain't that easy
to win.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
I know it sounds like that, but today Johanna's disappointed me.
And again, you know, hey, I wish him nothing but
the best of luck, except for when it comes to
winning a championship.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
And I'll give I'll give the Bucks credit and that
they got rid of coaches. Remember Adrian Griffin got rid
of him, was coaching pretty well, and they got rid
of him and they brought in Doc. That's it's by
all accounts, it seemed like that's who Yannas wanted.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
They've moved. They got there and gave up him.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
They got Damian Lillard, he had Chris Middleton, They've had
Bobby Ports, they've had Brook Lopez, they got you Holiday,
They've put.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Some guys around him.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
I'm not saying to your point that it's the eight
Boston Celtics, or it's the Heatles or the Warriors, but Dad,
they've had some good teams. So the team has tried
their best while also being in Milwaukee to put some
things around him.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
And I got some indict on him that we'll get
to later on into the show.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But because I got a little I got some issues
with with with Giannis again because when you look at it,
over the last six to eight years, they've tried and
he wasn't going up against the Bohemics. You know, you
mentioned Magic and the Lakers and Celty. He wasn't going
against those types of teams. To me, there was there
was some I had thoughts that I expected some more

(12:24):
out of him. So we'll get there later on in
the show. But my point is they put some pieces
around him. They've gotten coaches he wanted. He seems to
not be happy. He puts pressure on the organization, then
he doesn't, and then he says I'm ready to stay here.
Then he says I'm ready to go, And I just think, again,
if they're gonna part just part wipe your hands, clean, clean, breakup.

(12:45):
Don't do the whole getting back together, flirting back, call you,
text you back. Just cut it off so that it
can be something where they're like, you know, we had
a good run, because they'll get ugly if he keeps
doing this.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
All right?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Should the Bucks trade Giannis?

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Is he the new Benedict Arnold of the NBA will continue.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
This conversation with you.

Speaker 4 (13:11):

(14:07):
All you gotta do is search our couple FSR and
you'll find us there. All right, we got some more
conversations from college football coming up. USC has something to
be happy about, but I say, yeah, don't matter to me.
We'll talk about that coming up in just a moment.
Rob eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Giannis.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
What do you what you call him again, Jannis, I
think it's time for me to go.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
I call him Benedict Arnold.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
That's what he is, the new Benedict Arnold in the
NBA for walking out on the Milwaukee Bucks, basically saying
get me out of here.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Yeah, rip the band aid off was what I say.
It's all right.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
He served this time, they did enough, they won move on.
Rob says, you're supposed to stay and be different than
the other folks, and I can understand that. Eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox who we got.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
All right, let's kick it off with Q in Arizona.
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 10 (15:03):
What's something fellaws?

Speaker 11 (15:04):
Happy holidays?

Speaker 10 (15:09):
First, first thing I want to say is that the
flesh is never going to be satisfied to one and
don't never be satisfied too. I think Giannis if he
desired to go, so well, let him go. They gave
the city a championship.

Speaker 11 (15:26):
So if he ready to go, and he just ready
to do it, I don't've been flip flopping, you know.
And and I understand that the roster that they had
it was a good roster.

Speaker 10 (15:37):
But it just didn't work out.

Speaker 11 (15:38):
I don't know if it was a combination of the
coach and.

Speaker 8 (15:41):
The players or it was just the players, or it
was just just the coach.

Speaker 10 (15:46):
But if he want to go, then I have no
problem with him.

Speaker 8 (15:50):
So yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Appreciate it, no doubt, man, happy you appreciate it. He
was preaching right there too. I caught that message what
he said. The flesh never said win.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I just I disagree with that.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I just think that there's a way of doing it,
and Q, that's fine, And you know, I just I
don't have a problem with him going whatever. You don't
have to be like every everybody doesn't get to win. Seriously,
like like.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
So Rob, here you are? You want to do? You
want to be?

Speaker 4 (16:16):
You want to be James Harden. Look at where James
Harden's career gone. Seriously, he should be the poster child
for chasing trying to get a championship. He's been on
eight teams. He didn't have an allegiance to anybody. He
becomes a nomad. Like like and I'm not saying Gianni
is gonna get there because he already won. But this
whole idea, I just think in his standing, great players

(16:40):
can stay in one place, be the king there. They
they made every move to try to help them. So
it wasn't like they never did anything or never went
after players or never went to make moves.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
That That's what I'm talking about. And that's you'll go ahead,
get the car. He go ahead. J D and Houston,
you're in the yd couple sports trader. What's up, JD?

Speaker 12 (17:02):
It's JB Man, the Great JB Man. And I just
want to say happy JB. I want to say happy
holiday to you brothers. Mr Washington and Chill, Rob Parker
and uh and Chill Rob plus the seventh letter Rob G.
And I just want to say this, man, I've been
I've been a Bucks fan since they drafted Kent Benson.

Speaker 9 (17:25):
Man.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
I was like eight nine years old, seven years old, Wow,
drafted Kent Benson. And I just say this, man, it's
the coaching and at the bottom line to it, I
get you saying Benedict Arnold man and everything, and it's
kind of true. But I'm willing to let him go

(17:45):
to Houston man for Shan gool Amen Thompson and a
couple of picks. Man, And I just I just he
can go anywhere.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
He can go anywhere. Milwaukee's not gonna win.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
So you could get your trade and take the players
you want, You're not gonna win.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
And you know what, maybe I don't know.

Speaker 8 (18:05):
About that because he got to be healthy.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Man.

Speaker 8 (18:07):
First of all, he's never all the way healthy.

Speaker 9 (18:09):
Man.

Speaker 8 (18:09):
He always hurts something.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
No, I'm talking about, you won't win.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
And I'm not convinced that just because he goes somewhere
else they're gonna win, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I don't like that, especially if it goes.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
To the West. I say the same thing, Man, where
you're gonna go and guarantee a championship nowhere.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
But nowhere nowhere.

Speaker 8 (18:27):
Thank y'all for taking my call. Man, And I watch
y'all faithfully. Man. I'm on the road right now, Man,
I pop over the road boy living man, and I
watch y'all every when y'all on YouTube. Man.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
So hey, man, we appreciate, appreciate that.

Speaker 8 (18:42):
But I'm a real Bucks fan man since Super Sydney
Mind Creep Brian Winners, jun your Bridgeman and all them boys. Man,
So y'all boys, take care of Happy holidays.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
God blessed, no doubt, God bless Happy holidays to you
and recipes Junior Bridgeman too, Man, legendary businessman as well
as a hooper.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
We got somebody else.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Uh, Sukie in Seattle. You're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Sukie?

Speaker 8 (19:08):
What's up?

Speaker 10 (19:08):
Guys?

Speaker 8 (19:09):
That guy's doing?

Speaker 7 (19:09):
Happy holidays?

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Same to you too. How are you not bad?

Speaker 10 (19:14):
Not bad?

Speaker 9 (19:15):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (19:15):
I mean I'm not mad at it. I mean if
Giannis wants to don't want to go, and I wouldn't
be mad if he goes to the Warriors, like why not?
He's looking for to get championships, like do it? I
mean he's it's only twelve years and he just like
you said, why.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Don't you just go to the store and buy you
championship trophies if that's all? I mean, come on, idea
that wants championships. Everybody wants championships. Patrick Ewan wanted a championship.
Charles Oakley won a championship. Charles Barkley won a championship.
Steve Nash wanted a championship.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
What does that mean? You know?

Speaker 7 (19:54):
You know whose office is right, so Brin because he's
the only who wins. Like, oh, let me join it
with the super team. Now everybody wants to do it.

Speaker 8 (20:01):
It's a trend.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Well, well, Rob, I will say I appreciate the call.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
You brought up some guys though, like Barkley went to
the Suns and got to the finals from Philly, like
you know, he went down to Houston with them, so
like it, Clyde and it came. So people been trying
to get it way before Lebron as he just mentioned Lebron.
Uh So I just think to me, that's also it
can be a clean breakup, Like I don't think you

(20:27):
have to sign a lifetime contract with somebody he's put
in twelve years. He gave them there all his all.
They gave them his all, So I think it's okay.
I don't mind him moving, but it got it. Do
it cleanly, because now it gets ugly to me.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
All right, Dick Arnold, I wish you would go to
another radio show trying to get a Martine.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I wish you would, Hey, rob G, rob right when
you beat him me, I'd be DEBI.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Rob G.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
You know if they called him and was like, hey, man,
we got your seventeen Hall of Fame to come in
if you come over this for Robie.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Out of here ooh another hall of fame for me.
I gotta go Kelvin all right, way now I'm looking
at that. Now you think I'm I'm like a Hall
of Fame hord.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Now you chasing Hall of Fame nominations and inductions like
lebron was chasing rings. Is basically what's happening link your
Riley USC. They got the number one recruiting class. I
don't give a day and I'll tell you why. On
the other side right now, it is Manzi Bilanos's gonna
get you a trend.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio
app Manzi.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Thank You Couple, No Doubt, Rob and Kelvin on the
Worship Wednesday. Get check out the YouTube and always check
out the podcast. Rob g working hard on that. We'll
get that up in a little bit. Speaking of Rob
g Man, you know, this is signing day and all
the recruits. Everybody's excited and people go by the rankings
of how schools did talk to us about USC.

Speaker 9 (22:02):
Yeah, they're really feeling themselves at Rob Parker's college right now.
Because you mentioned, one year after getting the number two
recruiting class in the nation, Lincoln Riley has secured the
number one college football class in twenty twenty six. Make
it the first time that a non SEC team is
number one since two thousand and eight. The question then becomes,

(22:25):
now that he's got all this incredible talent here in La,
what's he gonna do with it?

Speaker 1 (22:32):
I don't think he's gonna do anything, Rob, because Lincoln
Riley is like an other handful of these younger you know,
Hollywood looking guys who I'm.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Not saying they know they can't coach offense.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I'm not saying they don't have some skill set as
far as offensive coordinator or whatnot, and that they're horrible coaches.
But his whole point specifically was to come to USC
and turn this program around, right, turn it around and
make them the prominent days of Pete Carroll.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Well, when do you really think about it?

Speaker 1 (23:00):
First off, rob USC as a whole, what have they
done in the last thirty years except for those you know,
maybe three to four year run with Pete Carroll, USC
has been overrated and Lincoln Rodley coming to be the savior.
When he was owing three in college football playoffs at Oklahoma,
he had Kayleb Williams. Kayleb Williams comes here to USC
in La here and balls and wins a Heisman, but

(23:23):
balls and doesn't win anything any meaningful games, doesn't get
to the college for wall playoffs college and then the
next year you still had Kayler Williams and nothing comes
from that.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
The defense is always to struggle as well.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
And I just feel like, Okay, you got the number
one recruit, you had the class, you had the same
number one recruiting class last season. I just don't see
it amounting to what the expectations are supposed to be.
Will they win some games, sure, will they maybe win
nine games, Yeah, but they're supposed to be, at least
in their minds and probably unjustifiably, Rob, they're thinking they're

(23:55):
gonna be of the Georgia's and the Alabamas and the
you know even what Notre Dame has become the last
handful of years in Ohio States and that just has
not been the reality. And tomorrow you look at it,
Rob dag it, he looks like a slightly better version
of Clay Helton, who everybody was a mad eight do
their first thirty two games. Clay Helton had a better record,
and he have a Heisman Trophy winner twenty three and nine.

(24:17):
Riley's twenty two and ten. If you start to look
at the overall record, Riley's a slightly better. But to me,
when you look at meaningful games at least, I don't
see a big difference. He has a Heisman Trophy winner,
but no championship rings to account for it, no college
football playoffs. So I just feel like, all right, just
prove it to me. Showed me something. Don't just tell
me about your recruiting class, make it actually mean something.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yeah, I never bought into a recruiting class. Obviously.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
I worked in Detroit for twenty years, and I used
to remember seeing all the Michigan and Michigan State and
all we got a great recruiting class, and we got
everything we wanted, and Michigan never won.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
You know what I mean? Like, no want anything.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
So I never stopping. That's the dirty secret. That's the
dirty secret. Michigan is pretty much regular there.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Exactly.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
But in Lincoln Riley's case, I think it's pretty obvious
he came. They paid him a lot of money, way
more than he deserved because he hadn't won anything, even
a postseason game, as you talked about, And it's been
disappointing anybody who thinks what they've done at USC is good.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
And Lincoln Riley and all that.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
All I ever hear is no one ever talks about
the job he does. All they talk about is well
who would you get to replace him? Because they feel
like they're stuck. You know, it's more about not that
he's done a good job. Instead of defending his record,
all they say is, well, who would you bring in,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Like, that's the reason he should get to.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
Stick around, because there's nobody else out there. Go pay
overpay somebody else who hasn't won. That's what you did
with him, Like, that's the thing that kills me. He
didn't come there to usc with a championship in his
back pocket or something.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
You know, where you go?

Speaker 4 (26:04):
My god, you know they lured him a wave from Oklahoma.
He's unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
What did they do? You know? Like, no, he didn't win.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
And and here you are four years in and you
have nothing to show for it. The big games they
need to win, they don't win. They don't win big
games on the road. You don't have to win. That's
hard to win on the road in college football. I
get it every once in a while, you know, like
for an overweight paid person, you say, hey, can you
mix in a salad every once in a while. So

(26:34):
the same goes for Lincoln Riley every once in a while,
can you mix in a big time win or.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
On a road? Can you mix it in?

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Five and seventeen is not great for what he's supposed
to be with the with the caliber. You know that
short of years and you already got seventeen you know losses.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I just you know, I want I want more.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
And honestly, rob as a whole of USC, right, you
went through Sark that didn't work out, That was a disaster.
Getting Clay Helton, everybody didn't want him, but Dan he
was just as good as everybody else they're talking about.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
And then you got, of course what happened with Lane Kiffin.
And now you're here with Lincoln Rodley. We're okay, they
win some games, but they're not where they want to
be from a national standpoint. You know, record program that's
that's that's right up there with the top notch programs.
So USC as a whole, to be such a big
name school hasn't really done anything.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
And they got a lot.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
To do with now being in a big ten, you're
gonna have to compete with the Michigans and the Ohio
states and the Penn State gets it right the next
year or two in Oregon as well.

Speaker 10 (27:35):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
And and you know you always got those outliers like
Indiana now that just has popped up, and Wisconsin is
often pretty good.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
So they're gonna have their hands full, man.

Speaker 8 (27:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
You know, being in this Conference. Now it's not gonna
be just as easy as it had once been. Kind
of only have to worry about Utah and maybe a
Washington every now and again in the.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
PAC twelve uh and and Nashville you are again.

Speaker 11 (28:01):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
You know you talk about Gianni's wanting out to go
try to win a national champ It ain't easy winning
national championships. It ain't that easy. That's all these great
schools that that can't win, you know what I mean,
like that can't win too.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Michigan know this because you were there, Like Michigan, everybody
knows the school and they won, uh in ninety seven
they won that that national time. Charles Woodson was there.
Obviously it was a really good team they won. I
think Brian Greasy was the quarterback. You know, I happened.
I was at that game when they beat Ohio State
with David Boston.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Was crazy.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
But Michigan kind of had that USC run. Where do
they were eight and four or nine and three, and
you know the name.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
Of his school, Jim Harball took Jim Harbaugh took a
paint cut.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Yeah remember that, Yeah?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yes, And so they finally got it going, you know,
towards the you know that then stretch with Jim Harboro
when they.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Started, but when they started cheating and having that signals, yeah,
I know, I know, you didn't hear that.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
What's that? That's what That's when Jim Harball finally won.
When they started cheating and they knew what was coming,
that was it. Yeah, all right, come on, we got it.
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Let's go find out what some other teams are doing
a little bit. But my point is as big of
a name as Michigan was, you you, if you fell
from Mars, you would think they'd won a couple of
titles in that stretch, you know, just but based off
the name and the hype, and it hadn't been that way.
And that's kind of usc Pete Carroll and maybe there's
something to cheating because Pete Carroll's run obviously ended up
getting tainted and all that, and he had that nice

(29:32):
run for a few years, and that's been it for
a very very very long.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Time, almost a history of college football.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Seriously, I mean, I mean it is people paying under
the table, paying for players, like.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
If you really send you in the eighties, yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Yeah, if you really pulled the rug back or the
curtain back or the sheets back.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Man, it would be messy, it just will Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
And that was greats Yes, you remember that UNC Scandaday
was had taking like pilates as they were taking yoga
and Swahili and all types and stuff. Yeah, if you
if you really do a deep dive, it'll it'll get
ugly for sure. But yeah, so they got the number
one recruiting class again. We'll see if it actually pans out.

(30:13):
I do wonder is the seat, let me ask you,
is the is the seat hot?

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Is it warm? Is it scolding? Where do you think
the seat is for him? And it ain't hot obviously because.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
They seem to be okay with it, you know what
I mean, like like that's what it feels like. I
don't feel like he's under any imminent danger or whatever
or like they're gonna pull the trigger. He had a
ridiculous buyout coming into this year. One of my guys, Charlie,
former students, was telling me, yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
That the buyout, and I didn't even believe.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Him when he told me because it was so do
you know what it was coming into this When when
he told me, I disputed.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
It because I didn't believe the number he told me.
You don't know, can you?

Speaker 4 (31:01):
And I didn't even know for ninety five million coming
into this year with the buyout five million, and I said, Charlie,
what are you talking about? Because the number was so
outrageous and guess what googled it? Ninety five million dollar
buyout coming into this year.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Now that see, cole have a seat, bro, you ain't
going to it. They ain't worry about it. That's the
exact thing you in on hockey. Keep paying coaches, man.
A lot of these schools and professional teams been paying
they paying a lot of coaches.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Uh, you know, always letting people go.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
So yeah, you you might just have a seat right
here and coach up all right all the way shekel
City player of the day as well, will get your situated. Plus,
Rob believes the Cleveland Browns aren't done with somebody. We'll
tell you that is.

The cargo shorts. All right, here we go tonight.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Cargo short best bet I'm taking Milwaukee plus four and
a half.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
This is the swansaw on.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
Hey, Giannis, here's a game to win, a game for
you to tell you to stay. I'm gonna take Milwaukee
plus four and a half. They're hosting the Pistons. I'm
gonna take Sacramento, better known as a NBA Siberia. I'll
take the Sacramento plus fifteen and a half in Houston
plus fifteen and a half.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
They lose, but they cover the spread.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
And I'm gonna take Brooklyn plus seven and a half
in Chicago. They started off really good, the Bulls nine
and eleven.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
They started off a surprising little team, all right, am
I right?

Speaker 2 (34:16):
No, it's been a rough last you know.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
They're nine and eleven right now. So I'm going to
go there. So once again, I got best bet Bucks
plus four and a half at home, I got Houston.
I mean Sacramento plus fifteen and a half on the
road at Houston and Brooklyn plus seven and a half
on the road against the Bulls. And remember, I'm not

(34:39):
telling you who to bet on. Oh, I'm telling you
who I bet on.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I ain't paying for that.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
I ain't paying for that, all right now? It sign
for your TIREC play of the day.

Speaker 13 (34:49):
Bounced it for cruser three, shut it all, rabo, take
cave of the lead, put two five ag time out,
shuts sure, we prayed for thirty shoot out sixty two fifty.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Nine rob G Who was that again? I'm not even
gonna hold you. Yeah, it was them. Shout out to them,
that was your TIREC play of the day. For over
forty years, Tirek's been helping customers find the right tires
for how, for what and for where they drive. Ship
fast and free back by free row has a protection
with convenient installation options like mobile tire insulation. That's right,

(35:25):
if you're at work, you're at home somewhere, they will
bring it to you tire rec dot com.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
It is the way tire buying should be. And we
got some.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
News about the Cleveland Browns rob and what they're trying
to do today. The Browns designated Deshaun Watson a return
of practice from the physically unable to perform lists, opening
a twenty one day window for him to be activated
to the active roster. We know he obviously missed low
last season with that achilles injury. It's just been obviously

(35:53):
personally physically been a rough go to the last couple
of years for him. We you and I disagree on
this with what's what's new, We disagree on a lot,
but you you believe that he's still likely going to
be the starter when healthy.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
I just think it's a money things.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
They're going to have to pay him, and they're going
to put him back out there to see if they
can get something from this.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
This is not about a saving face.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
It's about the idea that you just can't walk away
from him. You know, you saw that with Russell Wilson,
like this would really damage I don't know all the
particulars with the numbers, but everywhere I've talked to people
in the NFL said, this is very difficult, that this
will set their franchise back if they don't go forward

(36:42):
with them. That's why they're going through all us. Why
go through all this at this point right? Why even
activate him and all that? Because they feel like, if
he's healthy, we got to see if this guy we
can get something out of him. And you got two
young quarterbacks who don't need to play right away, don't
They don't they need to get some action and get
some which they did this year, But them with the

(37:05):
two other established quarterbacks going into this year.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Tells you where they are.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
And then you gotta look at Stefanski and the GM
there where their jobs are. And you know what I mean,
going into this off season. That's so that's the only
reason I'm not saying it's because he's some great he's
some great quarterback. He hadn't been great there, but the
financial things that you just can't shake, and I think
this is one of them.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
I completely get with.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
You mean, because if you're looking at the numbers here,
because I got the numbers for you, uh you look
at ahead, Yeah, eighty five million dollar dead cat when
they released Russell Wilson. So that was a time a record,
Remember they did that, and then they was like, wow,
that's crazy, Well it would be you ready for this
one hundred and seventy three million dollars in one season
if they did that for Deshaun Watts.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
That's what I'm trying to tell. You think you think
they're gonna release him? You said you they were gonna
I think he wasn't gonna play.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
I don't think he's going to play here in the
reason why is not just the money is that he
wasn't good. He was like one in six the last
time he saw him. The juju whatever you mojo, the
whatever you want to call it, the pixie does around
the team and him, and just none of.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
That's good, you know.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
And I just think all of that put together, they're
gonna want to find a way to move on.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
And if they can find, maybe somebody find a way.
Then you just said the number there, You just maybe
somebody crazy. Always said, when it ain't nobody eating one
seventy two men, you own up to it. Somebody wrong
on this one. He's good about that. He ain't. He'll
play that. You didn't even notice. I knew it was

(38:39):
a big number. You gotta admit you didn't know it
was one. He is playing. It doesn't matter. He's gonna
sit and making twenty forty million,
