Speaker 4 (02:27):
Uh, and last call, So we'll do all that and
much more. First, let me welcome in my partner.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
He is Calvin Washington, My guy, what a man. Happy
hum day to you. Getting closer and closer to the weekend,
which means we're getting closer and closer to being in
New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, bunch of good food. You know what? Delta Airlines
just called me. Did any did they call you? No,
Rob g did Delta call you yeay, or they did
call me.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Wait and let's not let me rephrase that. He could
have been you know, like the eight hundred or something.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
And it told me that they're mad, desperate.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Trying to get me to change my flight, and they
were offering all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
They're way over booked, and you know, leaving from La.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Philly, a big time city, one of the bigger cities
in the country. Uh, you know, there's a lot of
flight last second people calling wanting to fly there.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
But it's it's like for them to call, like the
flight is Monday and they're calling already.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
You know.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
And New Orleans is a small big town, like it's
big by no, but it's small like many flights exactly.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Everybody knows New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
It has all the Marty grass and essensvests and this
and that, and always has some big sporting events. But
it's a relatively small yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Literally, let's just it is.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, so I can see why the minute Philly booked
in there Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Again, it's like, all right, here we go. So they
call me with the right offer.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
The only reason I knew to pick up is because
I have actually Delta number locked in.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
You know what I mean, because it was like black girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
No, oh, you're gonna go to Miss Spirit because she
got a little champagne and you're gonna leave us for that.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
That's what you're doing, Robert, that's what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yes, and the Spirit and Delta A Delta got to
But because I used to live in Cincinnati Hub and
you know that. And I was a Northwest guy when
I lived in yeah, Northwest, which turned into uh right, America,
I think, yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
But anyway, mac namara in Detroit, So there you go.
Let's welcome in the couple of Cooo.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
We wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without him. Rob g is our producer, Alex is our engineer.
Monty Bolanos is at the anchor desk. She'll keep us
updated throughout the program.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
And throwing up gang signs back there. And of course
Elijah is a guru.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
One day and Elijah, it was a great job on
social media shot him.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
He does too. He cuts some stuff up for me.
I was singing all of your praises, you all are
amazing team. I was telling everybody I have the job
about y'all.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
The the absolutely I mean, I don't know, we talk
about it. I talk about it with Alex and Rob
G all the time, and like they're.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Just to pull a curtain back real quick. It was like.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Thinking about Rechan changing the name of the show when
you came along, because I didn't think it was going
to really be fair or whatever. And I was talked
out of it by the bosses and they made total sense.
They said, everybody's still here except for one guy, and
we have something that's special and everybody's a part of it,
you know what I mean. And then it made sense
to me, and I hope you feel that way. Yeah,
(05:37):
oh no, I know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
One and good. You know, I've known Alex for obviously years.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
I've been doing you know, doing weekends and rob gr
but to be in full time daily, everybody's been very welcoming, everybody,
the whole crew, everybody man.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
So it's been great.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, yeah, so far wait, waiting on the shoot the
fall when I got start running around here slapping people.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
But so far, good, good year, seven of the odd couple, unbelievable.
So we're good. We're happy.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
All right, let's go to some n B A and uh,
are you available.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Rob G or you're not all right on the phone
with Delta.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Are you on the phone with Delta trying to get
the kids?
Speaker 5 (06:14):
But I'm thinking about him. I'm not in fun with
del You're not doing you. You're gonna change. You're not
gonna che if you doing rob g. If you leave Sunday,
I'll leave Sunday.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
We can do it.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
Bro You know what the problem is, if you get
bumped from that flight or something happens, you're gonna be
in trouble.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
That's why I'm not switching myf flight. What if it's
earlier though, like some not Monday later. We gotta wait
till the price go to a thousand, then we changed change.
I'm ana called spirit and be like I'm on all right. Uh?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
The uh Lakers last night they lost.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
That's time right and uh not a good night for
lebron for Brownie, James and JJ. Reddick even had some
second thoughts about, you know, airing them out giving him
a lot of playing time and it was a disaster.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, hot for five from the field. He was getting cooked.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
Tyrese Maxie went at him and it made people today
look at Bronnie a little different and say like people
saying he shouldn't be out there at all, you know,
and all that kind of things. This is not mopping up.
They let him run there. This was like ball games.
(07:26):
Get up in there, you can make a difference.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
And it did not go well. And I'm just gonna
be frank.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
I think we're at the point now where Lebron has
turned Bronni into the NBA's pinata.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
And what I mean by that is when he goes
out there, that's got to be told you.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
I told you he is Bronnie is the NBA pinata.
And what happens is when he comes out there, people
go hard. They go hard at him because why kelvin Washington,
they go harder Thanim because a they think this is
Lebron doing this thing and putting his son on. They
(08:20):
don't believe that he earned his way into the NBA.
And now when they see him out there, and last
night was the biggest indictment that they don't feel like
he belongs out there. And that is why if you're
a baller and you make it in the league. Remember
there's only four hundred jobs. That's a specialized place. Three
(08:42):
hundred and thirty million people in the United States and
four hundred can say they play NBA basketball and they
have a guy who's a very weak link and marginal
at best. They're going to go at Bronni, be it
fair or not. And I think that's what's happening. We
saw that with Lonzo Ball, and you remember, I'll never
(09:04):
forget Pat bev on An inbounds. Inbounds, he played him
ninety four feet you remember that, Oh yeah, and defended
him the whole way up the court. That's because his
dad was talking about all that mess and how great
he was. He's gonna have a banner up his jersey
up there next to magic and all this other stuff,
(09:25):
crazy stuff.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
And people came for Lonzo too.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
And in this case, last night was bad, and I
think this is gonna be more. If they were to
give him more, they're gonna have to probably rethink it now.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
My issue, believe it or not, is not with Bronni.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
My issue is with JJ Reddick, lebron Watt and Rob
Polinka in that why are you even putting him in
this situation? The whole point was to what play with
my son. It didn't have to be I want you
to play with him every game or every home game
or you know.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
I want to have x amount of miss said. He
did it already.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Should be the first game here. You goow, this is amazing.
The Griffies are here. All of LA was celebrating national
televised game. This is great. They come in, dap up,
hug up. He goes, Oh man, you can't hate that.
Why in pardon my lack of proper English, why fo
is he playing right now?
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Because here's my issue.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Brownie actually has been playing well in the G League,
dropping twenty where he belongs, absolutely where he belongs, dropping twenty,
dropping thirty. Just a few nights ago, one of the
biggest players on Sports Center and virally was he finally
caught his first body, as they called it. He caught
a body in the G League, banged on. Somebody was
going crazy. Everybody's going crazy, went viral. So you're like,
(10:41):
he is thriving, he's catching bodies. He's putting him thirty
just to have his confidence go. Like the demon drop
a cedar point. You know what I'm talking about out
there in Sandusky, Ohio. It's a ride that literally just
free fall drops, and that's his confidence. When I gotta
go up against Tyres Maxie, who's one of the top
what fifteen he players in the NBA.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
He cooked them going at.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Me and again just the other night, I'm killing these
guys in the G league.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
And so my whole thing is.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Why JJ, Rob Lincoln Lebron, Why are you even letting
this be an option? Let him continue to grow, get
his bumps, his bruises, play well, thrive, Let him Rob
ride the bus like mj did. Michael Jordan rode the
bus in uh, you know, playing minor league baseball.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
He did. He got on the back, got you want
to get to the big league?
Speaker 4 (11:31):
You in the minor leagues. Michael Jordan didn't go straight
to the White Sox.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Got better, looked like a fool sometimes striking out, swinging
and stuff.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
He shouldn't, you know, missing some.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Covered his very first game in spring training, and I
was there for my yeah, and you got an infield
hit and got it, but kept getting better, kept getting better.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
And you hear guys, I think was it domatically know
who was? It's somebody?
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Uh who was the the coach of that team ended
up going to big leagues being a big league manager.
Forgot his name, he said, and a few other people said,
I strongly believe had he, you know, not just stuck
with this for he had eventually made it he could
play high school base athlete, then you know how his
work ethic is. My point is why is Broanni above this?
(12:17):
And it's not his fault, that's the thing. Is not
Bronni's fault.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
He's night.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
But that's why I'm saying Lebron has turned him into
the NBA's because he's the one who's putting him out there.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
This is what he wanted, this is not there's no way,
looked down a bench and was like, man, we need
a little help, right and get on up here, you'll help.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
And he random point, yeah, and that's and you that's
a big position, and with the going up against one
of the better and who's gonna be an All Star
in MAXI uh, you know, it's just if that may
have seventy five, yeah, something that was like maybe forty
in the first half something like that. No, but I
just thought it was bad on JJ for doing it,
Lebron again for just allowing this to happen, Rob Polinka
(12:58):
for allowing this. When Bronni his confidence has been building.
He's been doing well in the G League where he
can earn his bumps and bruises and and some successes
as well. That's where he's supposed to be. And I'm
just I'm just not understanding why he is playing at
this then this up and down. He's with us on
the road, but then he's not. And then then the
excuse U sound horrible? You know? Oh yeah, yeah he
(13:18):
was on a flight. Yeah, he caught a flight to Philly.
Come on, stop what everybody caught a flight? Yeah, it's
just you know, it's and then if this is the case,
catching flights doing this last minute, he said, you know,
a primetime game. You are the Lakers. You're gonna get
a lot of prime time games. J How old is Brownie?
Nineteen or twenty? Oh he was tired from the flight,
(13:40):
come one. Yeah, I just yeah, I just did not nineteen. Yeah,
I just didn't want to. I wasn't a big fan
of that man. And I think this is the one
thing where we disagree on. I don't think people hate
Brownnie as much like I think say that. No, no, no,
not hate. I just think people are made. I think
they're either either indifferent or they're looking, oh man, this
(14:02):
could be fun at Bronnie. That's you know, like, oh
what if he goes crazy tonight. But to me, you're
hurting him when you're putting in these positions where he
can't thrive where he's supposed to be earning it down
in the G League.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
See, I don't think that anybody who's out there is
trying to have Bronnie get off on them.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Oh, I mean anybody wants to be there because he hasn't.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
It's one thing if he came into the league and
he was bawling out and then you got respect for
his game.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I'm sorry that is not on fans. I think.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Yeah, I was saying fans. I think fans, oh shoot,
this might be fun tonight. If I see if I
was there tonight, Bronnie dropped twenty, you know. But when
you're putting in his bad positions again, at my last point,
it's like the demon drop of a roller coaster. You
got him at the top, just dunked on. Somebody put
up thirty two nights ago.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Drop.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Now I'm getting cooked files turnovers and I'm zero for five.
So I just don't get what the organization is doing.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Not Bronnie Ohright eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven, nine, nine, six, sixty sixty nine. I
think Bronni is the NBA pinata and people are going
strong and hard at him. We saw it last night.
A mistake be giving him this kind of minutes? What
should happen going forward? You're cool with it? What did
(15:17):
you make of the brownny episode against the seventy six
is zero for five from the field turnovers? Just he
just didn't He looked like a fish out of water
a pinata without candy?
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Is that fair? Eight seventy seven? He just taking a
beating for no reason. Ain't no sweet up in their name?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Right? All right?
Speaker 4 (15:39):
It is the Odd Couple on the Worship Wednesday, Rob
Parker kelvin Washington, right here on a worship.
Speaker 2 (15:47):

if you looked down the bench and said, man, we
need to spark Bronny get in there. Rough game over
five three turnovers. Was getting cooked on the defensive end.
It's hard to.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Play defense when you're levitating above the court. Because they
got he's opinion, I.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Aught al is gonna hit your tunes too? Eight seven
seven ninety nine.
Speaker 6 (17:06):
Five?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
What do you say? Who we got?
Speaker 4 (17:09):
I Doug in Mississippi. Let's start there. You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
What's up, Doug?
Speaker 6 (17:14):
Hey, how you guys doing so? He didn't change his name.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
I think the show is perfect, just as it was
and just as it is.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Come on, you got me up here?
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Crme No, Doug, Absolutely, absolutely, I just I wasn at
pulling the curtain back a little bit.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
But it's true.
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Definitely.
Speaker 7 (17:30):
If you think about like the worst team in the
league I think, which I think is the Pistons, maybe
if the Lakers are coming into town and Brownie's playing,
you know Who's ever garden, Brownie is shooting up and
ready to play like it is the championship. He did.
He does not want to get ragged on in the
locker room by the Felt players that Lebron's son went
up and jumped over them.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Doug, thank you for the call. First of all, the
Pistons are playing very well. They're like the sixth seeds
and East, Doug, don't do my Pistons.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
It's just five hundred. Stop. I just said five hundred.
But they're like the sixth seed. Though.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
The crazy part is they're probably not even getting excited
to play because I don't think they're gonna play him, Like.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
You don't even go into the game like, yeah, I might.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
See Brinnie, but I'm saying, if you knew it was
gonna play Brianny, you're like when he is he here today?
Or but you do not want to get o You
don't want to want to get dunked on.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
That's what I'm saying. You don't want to be cooked
Damon in Delaware. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Damon?
Speaker 6 (18:25):
Yeah, I'm back lying.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Okay, Okay, what Damon? Hold on? Okay, hold on, hang
up on him. That's all we could just start there.
Hang up. Okay, No, I'm lying.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
You could disagree with what my opinion. When you start
with I'm lying, Damon, go listen to Joe Jim Rohan, please,
because you're calling here every day angry. Every time he calls,
he's super angry or something. Why do you listen to
the show?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
That was old buddy from Okay, that's the same guy.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Like, it's fine, you don't have to agree with me.
Turn the station. He'd be ready for you. He'd make
his he can't get listening. Just keep your thoughts to yourself.
Many But when you start I'm lying, you're not going
to be on this show. Okay.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
You can disagree with my opinion, but you're not Rob
Parkers one.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Probably he got my t you'll call me in and
I'm lying. No, it's the it's the it's the energy too.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah, it was like fun, Like Rob, you know you're
lying all you're lying ready, I'm like, okay, now, let's
let me tell you something.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
He waited all day for this. He got out of work.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
There's nothing else going on in Delaware, So I get it,
all right, Andre and Massachusetts, you're under the odd couple
Fox Sports rading.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (19:40):
Hey, what's going on? Let's taking a call. In terms
of Bronnie, it's the same theory and thinking as the
Dallas Cowboys, meaning all news is good news, meaning the
show and the sensation and usurped the actual franchise and winning.
So whether his reputation suffers or not, whether you know
he's able to withstand you know, the criticism and all
of the speculation, that's not really a factor, I don't think.
(20:04):
But beyond that, what I've seen from Brownie impressively is
that he seems to have a good head in his shoulders,
seems to have like a positive, forward facing outlook, you know,
and just fortunate.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Right, did I see the highlights? Did you watch any
of the do you see any of the game or anything.
Speaker 8 (20:18):
I'm checking on the box score. I see the zero
for five, the oh for three, the minus eight, you know,
plus minus. So he's not you know, the little He's
had moments in the G League, but that's the G League, right,
You go for the big time and you're out there,
you know, as really a guppy, you know, and the
sea piranhas, and it's just going to be very difficult,
you know. And that's been his trajectory, you know, off
(20:39):
and on in high school, made the McDonald's All American Game, Okay,
didn't play much at USC and then right out there
with the best three hundred basketball players in the planet Earth.
So you can see how it's it's gonna pan out,
irregardless of what his name is, My point is, I
think their viewpoint is more about Q raiding brand eyeballs
rather than his develop met.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
For the Lakers' success this season.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Thanks taking the Cats, I don't even think it's that anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Like I think the fascination of like no, I just think, yeah,
I don't know, they just want.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
To see the train rack.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
They sorts like, you know, hey, we owe Lebron this opportunity,
you know, we kind of made that. We made the bed,
we're laying in it. But let him cook down in
the G League. And I mean that sincerely. Let him
go down there, get busy and grow and have bad games,
good games, and develop.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
What's wrong with that?
Speaker 6 (21:26):
Like?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
What's wrong with that? Monty was at a Clippers game recently.
She thought that Bronni was sitting next to her on
the wall.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
I'm just saying, well, stay there, Monte was trending right now.
We got Carmen and Vitali on the way as well.
Talk some football, Monty. Uh blanyos was the birthday?
Speaker 8 (21:39):
Girl?
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Is that where you went for the birthday?
Speaker 3 (21:40):

Calvin on a worship Wednesday company you live for the
Ti rack dot Com studios.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
By the way, uh Delta Airline. Just call me too,
They did, Rob, Rob. They called me to Carmen. Probably
is getting a call.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
From Karmen is up next because because she's I'm sure
I imagining Krmen and Tylie our guest Fox Sports NFL reporter,
Fox Sports Radio Weekend hosts going out to New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Right, you're gonna be there.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Delta Airlines is calling everybody, trying to get them to
switch their flight.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
They call I I am, I am going out there.
I'll be I'll be there all week. And in fact,
we're even bringing our new little puppy because he's gonna
go spend time with Grandma and grandpa.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Oh nice family down there, then, is that what I'm hearing?
Speaker 6 (22:33):
Yes? Oh, yes, yes, My my fiance's parents live down there.
Uh and I have family there too, so we're very
familiar with Orleans.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Oh nice.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Okay, and yeah, did you get a call yet or
you didn't get one from Delta Airlines?
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:46):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
They're calling everybody. Literally, just three minutes ago, I showed
Rob my phone. They called.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
They called Rob g they're calling I think they're overbooked
and they're trying to get people to switch flights.
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Well, I've got a reservation with it, so that's not happening.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
There you go, you know it, absolutely all right, let's
get to some of this action that obviously we're excited
about just coming up on the Super Bowl, Super Sunday.
Let me go back to the games that we just
had a little bit. Let's go to this Chief Bills game.
A lot of people feel like it's the Bills versus
the refs and the Chiefs, but in reality it was
(23:23):
mostly a clean game. Oh there was some calls, well
the one with the let me ask you quickly that
the fourth down, why didn't they bring the change out?
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah? I don't understand.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
I don't. I don't either. Also, I mean what I
really don't understand is we've had instances where this happens
now very frequently. I feel like where there are we're
spots swing entire games and we have the technology. Guys,
can't we just put a microchip in the ball, like
we have the technology. We have to have the technology.
(23:54):
I just I think with all the technological advances and
the expanded replay and all of that kind of stuff,
you can't tell me that that wouldn't help.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
No, And I said this before for everybody who wants
robot empires and baseball and all this other stuff. Whenever
humans are involved, Right, even with all that, there's still
air there, and we saw it like bad spots, bad calls,
or whatnot. But what do you make of There are
a lot of people who are with me on the
ABC anybody but Chiefs bandwagon because it always seems like
(24:25):
they're getting Always if you touched Patrick Mahomes fifteen yards
and a first down, you know, there's a lot of
big plays that all seem to go their way.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Can you understand?
Speaker 4 (24:35):
And not just the team's fans that are playing the Chiefs,
but just football fans who are starting to feel like
this is Tom Brady and the Patriots all over?
Speaker 6 (24:43):
Yeah, and maybe it is, but that doesn't take away
from the fact that they're an excellent team that keeps
evolving and doing things incredibly innovatively. I mean, Andy Reid
is I think a consensus on the it's not the
best coach in the league, So it would naturally make
that he has a really good team that is competitive
every single year. And oh, by the way, they also
(25:06):
have the best football player on the planet playing quarterback
for them right now, So yes, I know that.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Are you sure he's the best football player on the
planet because he didn't get any All Pro votes or
I don't believe MVP votes?
Speaker 2 (25:20):
You really believe? Now?
Speaker 4 (25:21):
I get that he's winning, and I think this team
wins by more defense than Patrick Mahomes being the guy
from four or five years ago.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
But I don't think he's the best football player.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
No, I still do because listen, there's so much more
beyond the stats when you watch this guy, and it's
how can you be fifteen.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And two and get no votes for MVP. I'm just
I'm asking you. Well, as a.
Speaker 6 (25:44):
Quarter I don't think wins aren't a quarterback stat to me.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
So it's not why because super Bowls, that's all they
count o to wins, and the Super Bowl go to
the quarterback, they don't go to the lineman.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
Listen, Yeah, you can take that up with somebody else,
because I am not the one that's going to fight
for that. I've always said that wins are not a
quarterback stat, because you're gonna tell me the NFL is
a team game. Football is a team the ultimate team game.
You cannot assign wins and losses to one single time.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
So Brady's not the goat to you because of.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
That, right, No, he's still the goat for other reasons.
I'm not just gonna say, oh, he won seven championships,
so then he's the grace of all time. No, he
is the grace of all time because of the comeback wins,
of the way he rallied teams, of the way he
got people to believe in him. Some of his individual stats,
I mean, the all time passing yards record, all of
that kind of stuff makes Tom Brady the goat and yeah,
(26:37):
and then that translates though into team's success too. I mean,
he has a very real impact on so many of
those teams. I was I got to be a part
of one of those teams and see the impact first
hand of what Tom Brady could do. Patrick Mahomes is
that type of player too, So he takes watching these
games and realizing what he's doing, how he's commanding the offense,
(26:58):
the audibles he's calling the guys, that he's getting things
to the way that he's improvisings.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
So none of the writers who have a vote, they
don't see this.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
You don't get off of this. Patrick mahon is the
ultimate winner. Hey, you don't know this.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
No, But if she's saying it's because Lamar, Joe Burrow,
and Josh Allen were incredible this year, That's.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
Why that doesn't take anything away from those guys like
listen there there is is something very real about those
individual stats that they get. But you can't let stats
dictate absolutely everything. There's there's stuff behind that, between what
makes a winner, the experience, the way that they galvanized teams.
Josh Allen did that better than anybody this year too.
(27:44):
It just so happened that he fell short in the
biggest game that the Bills played this year. But it
wasn't him in particular. There were a lot of things
that went wrong for the Buffalo Bills in that game
against the Chiefs. I just I think there's there's Mahomes fatigue.
I mean, what are you gonna do. You're gonna give
it to him every year, Becau because what he wins
the Super Bowl. I mean that's I don't know. I like,
(28:05):
I get that they're Chiefs fatigue, and I think that
that's valid. I just don't think that that means that
they're still not a great team and that they're really inevitable.
At this point.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
They've won seventeen games, twelve specifically this season and including
the playoffs, twelve one possession games.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
There's something to it. They know how to win.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Luck, karma vitality is our guest, Look, that's a whole
lot of luck. Now you can't keep having lady luck.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
But you like that. That's about as you jumping in.
Did you know that?
Speaker 1 (28:34):
So the Eagles the other team, because I don't you know,
if Robin let me get to the other team in
this thing, the Philadelphia Eagles. They want to say, hey, Rob,
we're part of this thing too. We're gonna be there.
The Eagles had a strange season where there was some
in house fighting. We know the offseason you had Sierayani
and Jalen Hurts. But they were able to manage this
thing and have a great regular season as far as
records and wins, and so far have looked dominant in
(28:56):
this postseason. What do you make of their season and
their chances up here in a little over a week.
Speaker 6 (29:02):
Yeah, I'm gonna take a little bit of an l
on the Eagles because in the beginning I was worried
about them. I really was, especially before the bye week.
Even after that when they were winning games and there
were still, like you said, there's in fighting. Guys are
yelling at each other on the bench, Sirianni's yelling at
fans all like, even when they're winning. I'm like, yeah, well,
I mean he could do Listen if he wants to
(29:23):
read a book to kind of calm himself down the sideline,
that's that's all good by me. I just there's so
much about making it to the mountaintop that is off
the field, right. It's how together you are, what the
belief you have in this locker room is so much
of the team chemistry come like the manifests itself on
the field. And that's not something I saw with the
build up the Eagles in the beginning of the year
(29:44):
and even in the middle of the year. But down
the stretch, they've lost just one game after that Week five,
by by the way, and they've held it together and
now they're kind of rounding into form right at the
right time. You mentioned they're on fire in this postseason,
and they've evolved so much from the Eagles team that
we saw in the Super Bowl two years ago.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Yeah. Much better. Definitely, they're much better.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
They're much more well rounded. I feel like it's much
more sustainable when you add Saquon Barkley behind this incredible
offensive line in Philadelphia. There's been so much turnover in
the starting roster of the Philadelphia Eagles from two years ago,
but they've adjusted since then, and Sirianni bringing in the
two coordinators because things weren't working last year. I mean,
(30:27):
I give all the credits in Philadelphia Eagles for rolling
with the punches and kind of figuring things out as
they go and then rounding into form right when it counts.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
All right, so real quick for as we're up against it.
Who are you picking? Or is it too early for you?
Speaker 6 (30:41):
No, it wasn't too early for me before the season
started seeing the seas. I'm absolutely picking the Chiefs. I
learned my lesson last year when I was like, oh,
it's a down year. Patrick Mahomes receiver suffered the most
rocks in the league, bl blahlah blah, and then they
still went out and won the Super Bowl. So after that,
I told myself in the large scale, in the macrel,
(31:02):
at the macro level, I'm not betting against the Chiefs
as long as Bags is a defensive coordinator, Andy Reid
is the head coach and Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
All right, Well, I'm not mad at you.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
I had Lions Chiefs with the Lions winning after I'm
hurt right now that didn't happen.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Well, I had Lions cheats with the Chiefs winning, so
I was really hurt about the Lions.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Well we'll hurt hopefully, see you down there in New Orleans.
And maybe you still may have some frosted cinnamon roll
pop tarts.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
I see you have twelve pounds twenty of those.
Speaker 6 (31:29):
I have so many guys, bring some, so many brings some.

character A single person is like no man.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Shout out to Alex. Wait, he was saying all you
it was what he was saying, y'all have held it
down when you say y'all's I mean to us black people?
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (33:05):
It is the what I mean two and a half
of us my side. Now, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
If Alex put a little pat riley in his hair
slicking back even more, he might have passed this. They
but thinking, Hey, when we go down to New Orleans,
they're gonna think he's Cajun or somether creole.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
I'm saying, summertime, I'm twice as dark as you might look.
They might think you right. I told right, I finally
have a black partner on the show.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah, I feel like appears that like in his soul
when you say that right now? Man, come on, rap
like I could tell him getting mad right now.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
All that's right. I don't love I love him, but
I like I like him Jason does. We're gonna have
breakfast with Chris we are, I think right? Yeah, ye,
looking forward to that. All right, let's get it Chuckle City.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Welcome to Shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parker's
daily dis against the Sprat.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
No cat fighting. You and no, I don't want any
of that. We ain't gonna get to them. He and I.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
We're gonna get together and pray for y'all. That's all
we gonna do that it you know, my brother ain't Christ.
We just gonna pray for y'all. Oh the worst of Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
At that. By the way, you do.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
This, Shecho City, I'm gonna call Delta back and see
what they see what you're talking about?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Right here?
Speaker 6 (34:16):
We go? All right?
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Last night one and two.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Now twenty four and twenty nine, here we go. The
best bet Indiana Patris minus six.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
And a half. That's my best bet against pittis right, yeah,
on the road. Well there we got the game up there. Yeah,
they up to that big. I was that twelve? Yes,
all right?
Speaker 4 (34:34):
I thought the Brooklyn Nets plus two and a half.
They're in Charlotte taking on the Hornets. But I don't
think LaMelo's playing. See, I don't know what's been going.
We were watching that game live and these Lakers and
he went in the locker room. That was his legs
been jacked up.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Yeah, And I don't know why I picked the Washington
Wizards plus five and a half.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
They're probably getting killed by forty by now. I don't
know why you did that. I don't know. I just
don't like money or something.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
I just keep thinking like some point, dude. So all right,
Washington Wizards plus five and a half, Brooklyn Nets plus
two and a half, and the Indiana Pacers minus six
and a half. And remember calv what's that. I'm not
telling you who to bet on. I'm telling you I
better definitely you put it on the dag on Wizards.
(35:18):
I don't know what you're thinking. We got a couple
of minutes here, NBA.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
You had Adam Silver was on recently, I think it
was DP Dan Patrick, Yeah, and he was talking about
Dan have some couple of things like what's some crazy
ideas that you have for some things that you would think.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Like crazy ideas like players playing games.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Yeah, And so he ended up saying one of the
things Adam Silver's big on. He said he didn't know
if he's along with this, but shorter NBA games. He
wants to go to the more international flavor, the college
flavor of forty minutes, specifically having four quarters ten minutes,
not halves like college, but having forty minute games.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Anybody cared about forty or forty eight miny games in
the NBA, of all the things that they need the fixing,
that ain't it.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
I'm I'm very disappointed, seriously, Like Adam Silver, that is deleting.
Nobody complains about the length of an NBA game. It's
like two hours and ten minutes all the time, and
it's just what is the issue about, Why do you
need to change that? And the other thing is if
you do that, you destroy all the record.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
He brought that up. He said, why you putting that
to the side, because that's a big thing. That's a
whole basically almost a whole extra cord.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Would you would you would basically wipe out like all
the recer Like come on, man, Like what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (36:31):
I don't get that, Like there's so many other things.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
To backs or no, like how about getting your players
to respects and play?
Speaker 2 (36:41):
What?
Speaker 1 (36:41):
How about that? That is something if you want to,
you know, find some more hair. I'm still gonna work
on better than the All Star And there's so many other.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
Things quality control make those things you have to go
put What is it Caitlin Clark. They're trying to get
her to get her three point contest like it's always
a gimmick. The NBA has turned into a gimmick league.
I didn't even believe it. Forty Yeah, nobody asked that.
I gave you twenty ideas that would be like eighteenth.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
I don't even recognize the league anymore. It's so bad.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
I just like you said, I love the league, and
I think as football dies down, obviously we'll get even
more into it. But I just for thinking for him
to say, like forty minutes. He could have said so
many other things, and he mentioned other things, but that
being the main.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
One for him.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
It's like I've never gone to an NBA game or
been in the barbershop, so like man, NBA games are
too long, Like.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Never heard that, not once.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Hey, they're thinking about changing the trophy named after who.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Will tell you I like him? I don't love them.
