coming up, but let's talk about last night. Luca finally
made his debut fourteen points, a little rusty and played
since Christmas, which is fine. What was he won? For
six or seven, seven from the three point line, fourteen points.

It was a blowout at a nice easy opponent than Utah,
a really bad team. But I guess your your your
thoughts now that winning the NBA Championship is that where

Lebron's gonna play extra couple of years. Good there. I
want it to be just like the three peat that
the Chiefs just had. It was great to see Luca
added to what they've been doing the last several games. Anyway,
because Lebron had been out a game, they still were winning.
Austin Reeves has been on a tear lately, so it
was good to see, all Right, how's Luca going to
fit in this thing? Obviously, Day won and they picked

a great opponent in the Jats to kind of get
things going, get some fluidity.

But they're a well right now, even before Luca. They're
nine and one of their last ten games, which is crazy.
Now they sit at fourth in the West. They're are
what a game and a half behind Denver at for third.
They've been playing well defensively one of the top ranked
defensive teams in the last twelve games. Offensively with efficiency

Lebron has been on the tear. They asked JJ Reddick
last night, you know, at what's happened with Lebron. It
seems like he's been playing like a next level and
they and JJ says, I had to talk to him
after the blowout in Portland, and that's all. It's all
I have to say about that. So whatever that conversation was,
I don't.

So of course JJ's trying to take credit that he
motivated Lebron after twenty years.

what I'm saying is Lebron is looked really good. So
in the addition to Luca Man it sparks something I
think you're gonna get for right now at least, and hopefully,
you know, the injury stays away from the Lebron because
that's really the main key.

Offensively, I like what you're getting from them with some
of the pieces gave Vincent finally coming around somebody they
got from Miami can play.

So my thing about it, Rob is while they're playing great,
it's also a look at the West and outside of OKC,
which is just dominating the West at forty three to nine,
it becomes Grizzlies, who are second right now in the West.
They don't necessarily scare me if I'm the Lakers. I mean,
they just beat them recently. I don't even think Lebron
was playing that game. The Nuggets are the Nuggets. That's

the worry with Jokis. But outside from that, I go
to rockets below the Lakers. They don't necessarily scare me
from the Lakers. Now that I have Luca, Clippers don't
scare me. Timperwells don't scare me. Mavericks don't scare me
because especially with Ad being hurt, So a part of.

This optimism isn't just simply them.

there's no team if I'm the Lakers that say we
can't beat And I think that's a good feeling as

Lebron ain't going nowhere, by the way, he's already said
he's not. I think he's gonna embrace this Luca run
for obviously this season, probably next season minimally. I don't
think he's going anywhere without uh. With Luca now getting it,
that's probably a more resurgent Lebron and that for once
he doesn't have to do it all as far as

creating and carrying and bringing the ball up. That's been
the beauty and the curse of Lebron is that he
has to get the guys involved so much. That's why
he was able to have so much success with Kyrie
was another guy that can be here. You know, you
do you I don't have to be I gotta get
this guy shot. Because Lebron has always been surrounded with
three point shooters on the corner, Mike Miller, James Jones
j R. Smith, Kyle Kover, you know, just guys in

the perimeter. But at this point in his career, he
needs guys who can when I go to the bench
for this five minutes, can somebody else run the offense?
And that's why they were successful when they had Rondo
because Rondo came right in the game for the Lakers,
you know, boom, get keeping the flow going, keeping the
flow going. And they haven't really had that Austin reeves
at times. But that's the beauty of what this could
be with Luca is another person who I got this.

I'm moving the ball, I'm getting shots up, I'm getting
guys going, and Lebron just hasn't had that in quite
some time.

This will be interesting just to see, you know, there's
a lot of a lot of things going there as
far as how well Luca plays defensively, what happens when

made a lot of mistakes. And we've seen this movie

So yeah, it probably And I said this originally when
he went there, it was gonna.

Like I just I knew it was gonna be a mistake.

their defense was not close to what it It's called
the hanger hat on that exactly because I told you
before and I'm not and I've said before. What's funny
is that Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes had closer a
similar stats. They did, They really did, but one one
fifteen games and the other one won what seven games
or whatever it was. It's just funny how it plays out.

Both didn't play well because I've told you that with
Patrick Mahomes he got better at the end of the year,
but he didn't play well most of the year, and
that's why he didn't get any first place votes for
All Pro or MVP.

Austin Reeves has been on a tear lately, so it
was good to see, all Right, how's Luca going to
fit in this thing? Obviously, Day won and they picked

a great opponent in the Jats to kind of get
things going, get some fluidity.

But they're a well right now, even before Luca. They're
nine and one of their last ten games, which is crazy.
Now they sit at fourth in the West. They're are
what a game and a half behind Denver at for third.
They've been playing well defensively one of the top ranked
defensive teams in the last twelve games. Offensively with efficiency

top twelve top teams in the last twelve games as well.
Lebron has been on the tear. They asked JJ Reddick
last night, you know, at what's happened with Lebron. It
seems like he's been playing like a next level and
they and JJ says, I had to talk to him
after the blowout in Portland, and that's all. It's all
I have to say about that. So whatever that conversation was,
I don't.

So of course JJ's trying to take credit that he
motivated Lebron after twenty years.

think you're gonna get for right now at least, and hopefully,
you know, the injury stays away from the Lebron because

he's not. I think he's gonna embrace this Luca run
for obviously this season, probably next season minimally. I don't
think he's going anywhere without uh. With Luca now getting it,
that's probably a more resurgent Lebron and that for once
he doesn't have to do it all as far as

creating and carrying and bringing the ball up. That's been
the beauty and the curse of Lebron is that he
has to get the guys involved so much. That's why
he was able to have so much success with Kyrie
was another guy that can be here. You know, you
do you I don't have to be I gotta get
this guy shot. Because Lebron has always been surrounded with
three point shooters on the corner, Mike Miller, James Jones
j R. Smith, Kyle Kover, you know, just guys in

the perimeter. But at this point in his career, he
needs guys who can when I go to the bench
for this five minutes, can somebody else run the offense?
And that's why they were successful when they had Rondo
because Rondo came right in the game for the Lakers,
you know, boom, get keeping the flow going, keeping the
flow going. And they haven't really had that Austin reeves
at times. But that's the beauty of what this could
be with Luca is another person who I got this.

I'm moving the ball, I'm getting shots up, I'm getting
guys going, and Lebron just hasn't had that in quite
some time.

This will be interesting just to see, you know, there's
a lot of a lot of things going there as
far as how well Luca plays defensively, what happens when
they played some of the better teams and bigger player.
You know, you'll take a look at it and you'll
see where it is. I just I don't see it
like off the bat because of the defense.

Interesting conversation, new news that come out from the Jets
when it comes to Aaron Rodgers. So Diana Rossini of
course covers the league got some good insight as to
what was happening, what was going through the Jets mindset
when it comes to possibly resigning Aaron Rodgers.

Had conversations with Aaron Rodgers about what the future would
look like if you're going to be part of this team,
you're going to attend all the trading camp. You're not
going to g Pat McAfee interviews anymore.

To stay here, here's how we would want it to be.
So this to me is Aaron Glad getting control back.

So do you think that if he would have agreed
to not do that stuff, that he would have been

I think that no matter what the Jets were going
to say, Rogers wanted to move on.

I agree with that, and I don't think that he
would allow them to say what he can and can't do.

can say whatever you want about He won a championship,
he's been a ball pro four times, it's won four MVPs.

That sounds good. There's been a lot of I've been
following this team my whole life, you know, that was

my team. I had two teams growing up, and I mean,
of course I grew up and I followed the Knicks
and I was an Islanders fan, but uh, the Jets
and the Mets one the two teams I follow even
closer than the other two. And so they've done, They've
made a lot of mistakes. And we've seen this movie
Brett Favre. I could just go on and on and on.

So yeah, it probably And I said this originally when
he went there, it was gonna.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Be a mistake.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Like I just I knew it was gonna be a mistake.
That wasn't gonna work out to what he wanted to be.
I never thought he'd get four snaps in the first chief.
Nobody predict that that that that changed everything. That that
was the team that was closer and better. That defense
last year wasn't the defense that it was two years ago.
Would you agree with that?

No, without a doubt. And that's what they were banking on, right.

We just need better quarterback play, to this solid running game,
to this great defense, and we'll be good to go
all out putting Tom Brady in Tampa Bay and it
didn't work out like that. I believe they never really
intended to sign him Rob. I think they just wanted
to have that. We tried so they could, you know,
kind of sell a little bit of the fan base

Made one of him. They didn't have to sell on air.

he's expressed himself. It's he's been free to talk about
things right things, dude. So they know coming to him
with something that he's gonna say no to.

So there's gonna be a small contingency.

And even the whole thing is to if you're Aaron Glenn,
if you want to go at your own quarterback, and
if they struggle the first couple of years, you could say, wow,
I'm trying to develop or I'm trying to do that.
It gives your your windows much longer longer than going
with you go. And it's still another disaster, and they
got to fix a lot of things. Like I talked about,

their defense was not close to what it It's called
the hanger hat on that exactly because I told you
before and I'm not and I've said before. What's funny
is that Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes had closer a
similar stats. They did, They really did, but one one
fifteen games and the other one won what seven games
or whatever it was. It's just funny how it plays out.

Both didn't play well because I've told you that with
Patrick Mahomes he got better at the end of the year,
but he didn't play well most of the year, and
that's why he didn't get any first place votes for
All Pro or MVP.
Speaker 2 (34:50):

You slid Patrick Mahomes back up, and he was sitting
there minding his own basiness, crying him out losing the
Super Bowl. We talked about the Jets, all talking about
the Jets right now.

He didn't all those lucky wins that they got. Now,
all of a sudden, you brought him back up, see
what I'm talking about. No, this is again.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
I just I just think it's best for him to
move on where he goes and the way he's been
having again, him taking that they had a meeting. There's
so many teams, so him going back to take the
same meeting, lets me know he wants he's about to
be your quarterback.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
I was gonna say the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Streets are saying the Raiders got eyes for Sam Donald really,
because because you.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Know, what that one younger, That one shocked me from
the standpoint of Minnesota not giving the bag to Sam.
I'm telling you, I think those two games really hurt
Sam Donald. Not that there's no place for him, but
they're like, we're gonna pay this guy a lot of
money the two biggest games. He went the bet and
we drafted this quarter who's cheaper, and he can do

we have and get this guy acclimated.

You try to do as somebody who saw everyone of J. J.
