Speaker 4 (02:46):
Both winning winning a championship doesn't mean anything. He really doesn't,
because four of the last six coaches in once you
get fired. Yep, I mean that that, that is unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
What more do you want from me?
Speaker 4 (02:58):

Wise Bow in there looking like bo X right now

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Glasses. I've never seen you with glasses, by any means necessary.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Looking both of those real glasses or those uh make
me look different glasses.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
They're blue light glasses. Because I'm tired of getting headaches
from sera.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
Okay, well I need to borrow those. Next February Black
History month, I'm gonna be Malcolm X.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Yeah, Bull looks like Malcolm X's looking the the what
they called buff buff buffalo hard. Let me just hear
you say bamboozled, and then I'll know if you really

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Run us ray mamboozled. There you go.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
We didn't land on Plymouth Rock. Plymouth Rock landed on

Speaker 7 (04:16):
Never heard of them.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I've never heard of him and never heard of them
social media. Gurgu one of the best in the You
would know it, I know.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Oh, all right, Uh, let's get started on his trash
talking today. Don't forget our number two, your chance to
trash anyone anything in the world of sports will trash
thirty or forty seconds. We will not and ot interrupt you.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
We will not do that.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
You will have your say even if you want to
trash Kelvin or whoever you want to trash Alex or Kelvin.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
That's right. Wait, why me, I'm just saying I am
not throwing it that. I don't think I've ever been trashed. No, well,
there's a first for everything.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh, I would never, I would never call up and
trash I'm just thinking' Ron.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
Wait, wait, no, it's Rob. It's not Thursday. Trivia is
on Thursday. I got you some cookies.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
All right?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
All right, let me tell you I'm one salty guy.
Speaker 7 (05:13):
Are you?
Speaker 1 (05:14):
I'm salty? Because I was gonna win the uh.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
One right, the bracket Challenge here on Fox Sports Radio,
and of course uh Houston. Yeah, there is a problem.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
They melt it down? Did Kelvin Sampson? You know what
this is?
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Like?
Speaker 1 (05:32):
His m O man?
Speaker 4 (05:34):
What hop and Lucy? Is all I want to know where?
They don't even get any shots off down the stretch.
Four turnovers and then the last shot. I wasn't a
shot the last turnover. Put the ball up. You were
about to be found. You don't go up and throw
it down like, oh my god, I'm gonna double dribble.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
What was that?
Speaker 4 (05:56):
It was the worst ending to a college basketball national
championship I've seen since Moby Dick was a guppy. I
was so pissed. Put the shot up, miss it? For
God's sakes, what are you doing? This was as bad
as when the Rangers lost and Nelson Cruise were two
(06:17):
outs in the bottom of the night. But at the
top of the Night pulled up on the ball. He
didn't even attempt to catch it. He stopped and pulled
up at the fence. You can't do it.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
For a turn.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
If they couldn't even get a shot down the stretch,
they have many chances to win this game. My goodness, gracious,
I'm disgusted, not because I lost only, but because, yeah,
can you make a shot attempt? I'm okay if you're missing.
(06:52):
You can't make all the shots. But for Christ's sake, what.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
Jesus got to do with it? You can sit right now?
Heaven what I got to do with this? Man, I'm
so mad at my namesake right now? How dare he
disrespect all the Kelvins in the world. It ain't that
many of us Kelvin. It ain't like as Rob's or
Alex Well.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
It's not a lot of y'll either.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
Bow so you were my camera. I mean, it's a
lot of bulls, but me might be closer to me. Man,
oh man. To have the same thing that you did
to somebody else happened to you in a four to
eight hour our span is crazy. To be down twelve
ish against Duke and to come back and win that
game in crazy fashion. To then on Sunday or Monday,
(07:36):
have the same thing happened to you. Is wild And
I put a lot of the blame on that for
Kelvin Sampson saying, at some point you got to say, hey,
what happened what we did to Duke ain't happening to us.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
That is not happening to us.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
And you figure out another way to, you know, to
start to have put your foot back down on their throat,
find a way to dominate the game again. A couple
of things to note. They went two minutes and twenty
two seconds without scoring. That cannot happen. Another thing that
shots did they get during that time? You know what
I mean, right, They weren't even getting shot, right, But
(08:11):
that can't happen. Also, what can't happen is what was
the issue of them against Dick Duke? Why they were
down so much? They started to go and at the
end of the day, you are who you are. So
they started to resort back to isolation ball dribble, ribble, dribble,
let me see what I can do in it. There
was no ball moving, there was no concentrated effort to
run a set, to run a play. And the bad
(08:33):
part is when they did run a set or a play.
The last shot attempt, it was a terrible play, and
as you mentioned, he panicked and didn't get the shot off.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Man, you gotta do what you got. You gotta throw
it off of him, throw it off his body. You
gotta just throw up at it. Anything shot he could
have fouled you.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
This isn't the first half, This isn't the wayans state
cham this is the semiship game. You gotta just figure
out double clutch, do something getting that shot off. But
no patch to a back to a player, no shot.
And also, I don't know that I'm still a fan.
I know a lot of people will say, like Charles
Barkley said after the game, I love it. They were
going for three, going for the win. There was way
(09:13):
too much time to me left to simply just go
for the win. Six seconds I get it, five seconds
I get it. Boom, and that's a pass. That's a
going off, a pick shot up for the three. We
try to win it. They had enough time to me
to run an easier play to get to the free
throw line, and the refs all of a sudden were
you know, they were calling a bunch of calls. At
one point, in two minutes into the second half, Florida
(09:35):
already committed five fouls. So I'm trying to get to
the hole or I'm trying to get an easy layup,
tie the game up, and then we go from there.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
So that was just it was bad. It was bad.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
And this is what Kelvin Simpson, this will be that
Achilles Hugh, I'm gonna tweet sixteen the lead eight's final
fours get finally get to the National Championship game.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
And Washington Sampson today, I'm gonna do that. You see
the way I have my high twitch. Don't do that, dude,
don't I mean what Kelvin Washington Sampsons.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
Don't do that.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Don't do that because it would have been a yack
if it was the Washington, the Washington Sampson's buckets. First
of all, Florida would have came back if it's with
the Kelvin Washington, Sam.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
I was getting text by my friend, my god, Tony,
Oh you are winning this thing. My man, it's all over,
I said, Tony, it's way too much time. Can you
stop texting me? What the game is over? I don't
I never believe in that I don't care in college
right now, but but this is who you blame me here,
I'm blaming Kelvin Sampson.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Kelvin Washington Sampson is the blame. I'm so mad that
they're sitting there. Yes, I'm so mad. It's an easy
layup one, it is, and I'm gonna use it to death.
I'm so mad at him. Kelvin Washington, Sam, he is
the blame. So mad at him right now. God not
(10:59):
to be people have the name, you know that. And
this was our moment.
Speaker 7 (11:01):
We was up.
Speaker 6 (11:02):
City boys was up. We had a chance to win
the Natty. I'm winning right now doing TV and radio
with you. Kelvin's around the world were up.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
I'm so upset right now? Will you blame me?
Speaker 6 (11:17):
I'm blaming unfortunately my namesake because you had to have
at a certain point, Rob, you gotta look at this
and go, Okay, what happened, what we did to Duke
is what's happening to us, and you have to find
a way to snap amon of it. But you know
what the problem is or challenges, and I think it's
why we saw this happen to Duke, why we saw
this happen in Houston. We are not seeing Bobby Hurley,
(11:41):
Grant Hill, Christian Latner lose to UNLV, get demolished on
national TV, get humiliated, and be able to come back
and fight. What's happening is the best player on your
team is going from Iowa to Houston, is going from
Houston to Kansas, is going and you have no camaraderie.
You have no way of being like, I've been in
fire with these guys. I've been in these battles with
(12:02):
these guys. I know who's gonna do what I know
what to do.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
And they're all finding out what it's like together, what
it's like to be under the fire together for the
first time in real time.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
And you know what I mean, You're not able to
learn in the middle of this and grow from this.
And that's one of the things I saw. So, man,
what happened to Duke? How the they ain't ain't played
together before? Oh Man, Houston, Man, the zoos ain't played
together before. A lot of times they're coming in your
best players from different schools, and so it would be
interesting to see if there's a way of saying, like,
(12:34):
all right, if you guys stick together. The old Villanova guys,
you know with the Devin, Chico and Bridges and all them, like,
we're sticking together, Brunson. We put some years some equity together.
We know how to depend on each other, who does
what well and what to do in these key situations.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
All right?
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. He's just a
couple of stats for you. I'm upset if you mentioned
my name the last fourteen.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
On the outcome.
Speaker 6 (13:02):
That's like inception the odd couple calling the out cover,
which is the ring tough ring tone of the outcome.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
It's not trigonometric. It's just not bad. That's not How
did you even get a ring tone?
Speaker 4 (13:10):
I just thought about it. That's it even possible? Now,
oh you can get a ring tone. But I did
want to bring up the you know, they were in
a bonus for the for the last fourteen is for
the last fourteen minutes, and they got four free That
is terrible. Now you're that's that's bout tournament, supposed to
win the game, you're in the bonus.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
All you gotta do is go ahead, take the ball
to the hole.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
They gotta fail you, and you're gonna get your You're
gonna wind up getting up baskets and here and the
other one is uh the final one twenty one yep,
four turnovers, final one twenty one and not a single
shot and the only shot that you thought he was
about to take was a turnover.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Kelvin Washington. Sampson is to blame for this.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
This hurts me more than the Lions lock. I'm giving
the kids. I'm giving the kids a break. I am
this is coaching.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Now.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I know why he wasn't hasn't won the big game.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
I saw it before my eyes, all right. Eighty seven
seven ninety nine off Fox. Who are you blaming the
kids on the coach? The kids on the coach? Who
are you blaming on Houston? It is the Odd Couple
on a trash Talking Tuesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington right
here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Stink and stay because we all know who's to blame
in the us of A. Kelvin Washington.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Kelvin, you don't understand, you don't understand, Just the facts,
just the facts.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
So the one day I wish my name was just
Mike Kelvin, just Mike, Yes, I'm and Sampson. Don't worry,
he'll be an hour four. That's right, he won't be in.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
It is our four x I couple, Robert Kelvin Washington
Sampson apparently on a on a trash talking Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Coming to you live from the Tireck dot com Studios.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Congrats to Billy l who had the best bracket and
the tractor Supply Fox Sports Radio Bracket Challenge.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Congratulations.
Speaker 6 (15:25):
Yeah, Billy finished with an impressive one hundred and seventy
six points, narrowly beaten two listeners by a single point
to take home the title. Billy Well, he won a
twenty five hundred dollars gift card a tractor Supply, and
in the host standings, Chris Plank finished with one hundred
and sixty five points, followed by Plexico Burris who was second,
and my guy Rob Parker was third. They didn't yet,
(15:48):
they didn't put it on on the list here. I
said it for you, okay, thank you said for you.
It might have been, but Doug dropped out. No, because
Doug had I don't think this is an official I
was just added. You put me on the I was
going even though you disrespected my name on this yere Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
All right, trying to Gepply knows.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
Winning season takes practice, team working in the candy attitude.
Thankfully you have a neighbor like tractor supply. Team work
comes easy. Whether you care for pets, chickens or a
few acres. Our team members are going to help you
succeed season after season. That's tractor supply for life out here.
Who are you blaming for the loss? Is it the
coach of the kids? I think it's Kelvin Washington Sampson.
(16:25):
All right, let's go Marty in Kentucky. You're in the
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Marty?
Speaker 7 (16:31):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (16:32):
Kelvin Washington? Smart guys, I'm not with y'all here. I
do not blame Kelvin Washington Sampson.
Speaker 7 (16:45):
I've been following him for a long time.
Speaker 8 (16:47):
I made him when I was a kid. He was
a cruit. My brother actually knocked on the front door.
Speaker 7 (16:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (16:53):
The funny thing is he was younger than I am
now at that time, and that's crazy to think of.
But as old as he is now. But anyway, I've
always thought he was a good coach and he got
he he got you know, he is at Indiana. I
didn't care for how he was departed there, and I've
just kind of followed him. And I feel like he's
(17:15):
the reason they were in the final four. He's the
reason they were in the game. And I feel like
his game plan to shut down Clayton was excellent. Wore down, Yeah,
he wore down the team. They don't have the debt
Florida has. Florida has more guns. Their own coach said
it at the end of the game that he has
the best front court, am backcourt in the country and
(17:36):
he's lucky. And Sampson when they started playing tired and
he called a time out and he told him, you're
playing tired.
Speaker 7 (17:43):
I need you to be tough. He got he, He
got hard on him.
Speaker 8 (17:46):
They come out, they had another run. It had him
right there to win the game. Unfortunately, and Manuel Sharp
made two really bad plays and in the last two
possessions he dribbled into three a three man trap and
back scoring off his knee.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
And then when he had no shots in the final
one twenty one, Marty and the free throw that they
were they were end up, they were in a penalty
for the last fourteen minutes and got four free throws. No,
the coach, I'm gonna draw a play for you to
take the ball to the hole, to be aggressive.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Not settle for jump shots, not settle for threes. You
got to make it a contest. Marty.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
You know basketball KP in Minnesota. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up KP to fourth great
doing well?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (18:34):
Well as part of the game.
Speaker 7 (18:38):
Yeah, you know what, one of the best final fours.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
In a while.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
You gotta admit that.
Speaker 8 (18:43):
But I got something to bounce off with both of
Yas said earlier.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
Now when you're talking players of like from the natural
from a natural origin, from the same area.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
What Kevin was talking about.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
I remember going to a lot of games with my
uncle back in the day when.
Speaker 7 (19:01):
The car was planed, and a lot of them castles from.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
Chicago, or you take Michigan State or Michigan, a lot
of them.
Speaker 7 (19:08):
Casts were from Michigan. Or you take a lot of
teams with.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
Illinois, a lot of them guys from we were from Chicago.
Speaker 8 (19:15):
So they knew that you said the who was gonna
take over at church of time.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
They just knew each other's case.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Okay, that that worked so well that uh, Michigan State
has one championship in twenty five years and Michigan and
Michigan's won how many two another last being in the
national championships like five times the last thirty year.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
Yeah, okay, one second, one second.
Speaker 8 (19:37):
My point is that that was the time they ain't
never faced with that kind of situation back they had
last night. Now, I had they had that kind of chemistry,
who knows would have took off?
Speaker 4 (19:46):
I just, I just I just cannot When you can't
get a shot off in the last one twenty one,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
There's two separate conversations. I think I can't accept that.
I think absolutely you need some chemistry and that would
be benefit. But that's what I'm saying, separate.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
You still gotta make come on you one twenty one
no shots, that's four turnovers two.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
That's ridiculous. Are you kidding?
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Man?
Speaker 1 (20:07):
The fact that they didn't do it.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
They had five fouls with two minutes and thirty nine
seconds into the second half, Florida.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
That's what upright, that's crazy? And they won the game,
Andre in Massachusetsteen less shots too. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Want to explain.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
It's why you know basketball?
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Come on, man, what were they doing?
Speaker 7 (20:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (20:27):
The situation for me, you know, you know that the
first half was very well officiated, only four fouls they
got on Florida. To start the second half, they had
fout five fouls and then the reps had to balance
it out, so both teams were essentially in the bonus
with more than ten minutes to go. Here's what it
comes down to for me, I do have to blame
Kelvin Sampson, even though I was pulling for him. I
picked Houston.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
I pick Houston too.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
I wanted him to get his flowers. This is what
I do not understand.
Speaker 7 (20:52):
LJ.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
Cryer was the straw that stirred the drink for them
throughout this run.
Speaker 7 (20:57):
He was the guy that hit the threes.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
He's their primary on handler. Why did he run to
two possessions.
Speaker 7 (21:03):
For Sharp down? Thank you, That's not his role.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
The ball should have been in LJ. Crier's and to
make up play down his first that got too empty
possession because Sharp is a spot up shooter. That's what
that's his official makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Andre, but spot on what what was that? Calvin Washington
Sampson that.
Speaker 6 (21:25):
The only thing I can think is if the same
way they did they meaning Houston did with Clayton Jr.
Locked him down. They were Joe Florida was doing that.
So therefore Sharp was gonna be have the open shot
because he was less of a more of a available
because the other guy would be a decoy. If you will,
you know what I'm saying. I'm around Steph Curry around
here so I can get you a shot. Uh, Clay
(21:47):
Thompson something like that. That's the only thing I can
think of. Bah, I can't believe this spected her name
like that? Everra Salom getting ready to join us here
in a bit. Uh, he knows some hoops. He might
have some thoughts on that. We definitely want to get
his thoughts us right. Come coming to you live on
the Trash Talking Tuesday from the tire rack dot Com Studios.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Guess as usual on the Tuesday, our guy e from.
Speaker 6 (22:07):
Salam former NFL Offensive Line and Fox Sports Radio weekend hosts.
And I'm sure he's producing twenty seven other shows and
movies and all that good stuff from.
Speaker 7 (22:16):
With something, Man, what's happening brothers doing?
Speaker 4 (22:20):
Hey help us out with who'd you have first for
the National Championship game? And then are you blaming Kelvin
Washington Sampson too, like I am today?
Speaker 7 (22:30):
That's funny. Now. First of all, I wanted Houston to win.
I was pulling for uh, you know, coach Sampson. H
But look, I mean, pressure is a real thing, and
them not being able to get a shot off.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
And that's just like that is to me, I mean
and excusable.
Speaker 7 (22:49):
That's it. That's it, Like you're not being able to score.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It was like Duke not being able to get the
ball in bounds right front.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
It's the same thing, the same exact thing. And that
pressure got too great and you know, not only that,
they you know, missed a couple free throws down the stretch.
All of those things matter, man, free throws, being able
to not turn the ball over. And so I was
just really watching that game and disbelief, like, wow, they're
(23:21):
really crumbling right now, and we had just watched it
happen to Duke.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
Yeah, that's the crazy part I was saying earlier in
like the same thing you did the Duke Florida just
did to you came in and took your heart, man.
Speaker 7 (23:32):
And shout out to Florida for playing that defense. Man,
that on ball defense. That was just unreal. They made
it extremely difficult for Houston to really do anything spressing
those last two minutes of the game.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
You know what, let me ask you this real quick,
just one last little bit on kind of college sports
as a whole, but specifically basketball. You love who and
this tournament maybe more than ever. We just saw how
so many they get kept highlighting it, even on the
women's side. You know you, oh, look at her, this
is her third Elite eight because she went to this school,
then went to that school, the transfer of that school,
and then of course of the man side, this guy
(24:06):
he's their star player, but last year he was in
Sweet sixteen with this other team.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
What do you make of the transfer portal?
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Do you think it's good for the game, good for
the players, hey, they getting opportunities, or do you think
it kind of waters down and hurts the.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Game a bit?
Speaker 7 (24:18):
I think it hurts the mid majors. I think it
hurts them more so because they can't compete with the
SEC and the big ACC and all the bigs, the
Big twelve, Big temp all. They can't compete with them.
When it comes to you could take say the player
of the year in the Mountain West and then you
(24:39):
know Kentucky can pay him two million dollars. He's gone. Right,
So now you take the best player in a conference,
a mid major conference, and then you take him and
you know it's good for him. It's more exposure, it's
more money. But in terms of those Cinderella teams, in
those Sweet sixteen runs from these teams from min majors,
(25:00):
I think we're seeing the end of that because of
NIL and the transfer portal, Like, no one is going
to stick with that team. Like. So the thing the teams,
the thing that made VPUs and before Gonzaga became Gonzaga,
it made those teams good is because guys have been
there three four years playing together, so they were an older,
(25:23):
well constructed team. Now those pieces are being snatched up
out of there.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Amazing, amazing.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
I do want to ask you. We're gonna get to you,
I know from the NFL. One other question, uh, Mike
Malone being fired. Of course the GM got back as well.
But with three games ago, you're the number four seed
you want to championship a couple of years ago. We're
going to get to this in the next hour for
people listening, but just your thoughts the first when you
first heard the news, what was your immediate reaction.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
I thought it was a joke. I had to make
sure right right right, you know, because it doesn't it
doesn't make sense. Like you, we thought that the the
Grizzlies firing their coach what two weeks ago, right, we
thought that was weird. This is this is even worse
(26:14):
because this coach has is what two years removed from
a championship two.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Years and you remember in the old days, if you
want a championship.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
From you at you got that's five six more years.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Right, easily easily.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
And so to have a team that's, you know, a
game or two out of a legitimately three games out
of second place in that Western Conference, you fire that
guy in the GM Like, I'm really scratching my head.
I don't understand what's going on unless and I'm not
saying this is what happens. I'm saying unless Nicola Jokic,
(26:48):
which I don't see him doing this, you must go.
He must go now, Like that's the only way something
like that happens h in my opinion, But of course
that's not the type of player he is. I couldn't
see him doing something like that. So it leaves us all, uh,
whether we're fans are in the business, it leaves us
(27:09):
all scratching our head, like, what the hell is going
on over there?
Speaker 6 (27:12):
Three days before the end of the season for them.
That's what makes it weird. If you did it a
month ago, I get it.
Speaker 7 (27:17):
They're they're they're like I said, they're three wins away
from being the second seat. That's it with four games left.
So if they they they got.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Three right, Yeah, and that's three three games left.
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Right, So if they win these next three games, they
would and and other things happen, they could be in
a segency without a coach.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
That's where there's something. It's beyond just x's and o's
at this point. It's kind of like, I don't know
the look or trade. It wasn't just hoops, it was
some other stuff. Because nobody does this to both persons
right before this, literally before the season is going into
what matters most playoffs.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Is very very odd.
Speaker 6 (27:53):
Now, staying there for a minute, I wanted to go
to the draft real quick as we start getting inching
closer and closer than that. And one of the conversations
Rob and I love to have is why the heck
Matt gives Travis Hunter a chance to play both? We
saw a pro day the other day, the boy with
old school. You saw him out there doing receiver with
no gloves on, no sticky gloves.
Speaker 7 (28:15):
He's a tremendous talent. He's one of those talents where
you say, hey, whatever you want to do, you can
do as long as you're doing that, as long as
you're doing it at a high level. And I would
I would premise that whatever team decides to draft him,
whether it be the Tennessee Hell, they might be like,
(28:37):
forget it, we're gonna do it. Are Cleveland? Are are
the giants? I think they're going to let him play
what he wants to play because if you do it
gives you a better chance of winning. That's the bottom line.
He is a generational talent. He's like the show Hay.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Of the NFL and improved that he can't do it
like let him play for.
Speaker 7 (29:02):
Him show, Hey, hey, we want you to just bat
yea when he's healthy and you can't tell him, Hey,
don't worry about that, and you just gonna pitch. You
just be like, all right, every blue moon, every century
or so. You have a generational talent. We're seeing it
live in firsthand with Shoe hel Tani in baseball when
he's healthy, and we're getting to see it. We saw
(29:23):
it all through college with Travis Hunter, So why not
let him go? Let him play?
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Right, and Robin I say, they ain't gonna do but
a couple, you know, maybe a year or two of it.
It's not like he's about to have a ten year career. See,
let's see shot a couple of years.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
You want to see it as a fan, I want
to see it, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Hey man, thank you so much. As always appreciate you.
Speaker 7 (29:41):
Hey, appreciate y'all. Brothers, y'all stay safe, all right?
Speaker 1 (29:43):

Daley Dicks against the scrap.
Speaker 7 (31:10):
How you doing? Alright?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
One and two? Last night? I want to count that
Houston game because it wasn't on the board with two
and one. I mean two and two and two. Alright,
one and two last night? Eighty eight and ninety four.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
I needed some wins yet, all right, I got the
Brooklyn Nets minus one and a half hosting the New
Orleans Pelicans.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Man, that's no, And that's minus one and a half.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
Celtics plus one and a half on the Dogs at
Madison Square Garden.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Somebody out, Yeah, but that's.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
So I got Boston plus one and a half. Maybe
the Knicks win by one.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
And then I got the Oklahoma City minus Thunder minus
nine and a half hosting the Lakers.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Like, whoa got a favorite by nine?
Speaker 7 (32:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I think the Lakers they said, well do we know
the latest is that?
Speaker 6 (32:07):
Because originally it was that they expected the starters to uh,
he's not playing.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Somebody's not playing. The only person not playing is were
you hatching Mura?
Speaker 7 (32:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Everybody else is playing.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
All right, Well, I got to Thunder minus nine and
a half, Boston plus one and a half, and the
Brooklyn Nets minus one and a half. And remember, Calvin,
what's that I'm not telling you who to bet on,
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Well, speaking of betting, that's the question.
Speaker 6 (32:30):
A lot of people were wondering, if you're the Lakers
knowing tomorrow Thursdays the Thursday, the big game versus the Mavericks,
and uh, everybody's saying, you know, Luca's return to Dallas,
that you don't play, Luca, you don't play you know,
you gear up for that game. That game is the
one everybody's going to see. It's a big game, it's
(32:50):
gonna be emotional. And so that's why a lot of
people were wondering would the Lakers play guys today, because
you know, they just played trying to, you know, strategically
have everybody at certain games so they can, you know,
wind down this season. I'm in I'm in the mind
of sands for Lebron. Maybe you scave some minutes with
(33:11):
what you can with Lebron. Y'all gotta play, you know
what I mean? With Lucas, Hey, let's get back in
game shape. Still, Austin Reeves has been on fire, so
I'm definitely not you know, and he's young. Let's get
going to me. You want to start rolling now as
you get into the postseason. So the idea of sitting guys,
the idea of you know, oh, let's not and let's
(33:32):
not play this game, but let's not let's just take
a loss to the thunder and because we're gearing up
to play the Mavericks the big welcome back Luca game. Nah,
let's put some more fear in these thunders hearts that
what you we did the other night is what we
gonna do again.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
And then we go in to Dallas and smack them
up too. You got you got an older player and Lebron.
That's why I said Sam Lebron and Luca. I mean,
he's twenty five. Are you telling me he can't play?
Speaker 1 (33:59):
You know, like right? Like then you got that out
a long time, Okay, right, but he's twenty five.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Can't be rested a twenty five year old unless you're
telling me he's out of shape and he's not fit
or whatever, like, it doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
He should be playing. We're locking in right now mentally physically.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Not that or like what you do now is not
going to determine what happens.
Speaker 6 (34:21):
Well, no, but there especially for a guy who hasn't
Luca has. You know, he's still relatively new to the team.
So to me, anytime we can get in any situations,
close games, tight games, and we can continue to build
the bond, continue to Oh, this is what he likes
best Okay, he likes to just shot in this corner. Okay,
are two minutes left. Let's see how we run this offense. Now, Okay, Luca,
you have the ball. What if you're off the ball?
(34:42):
To me, I'm trying to get all these reps in
now before I end up going in there, you know,
the postseason.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
And to me, this is a great opportunity against the
best team in the NBA and the Thunder.
Speaker 7 (34:55):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (34:55):
I want to be in all situations, uh teams to
shoot threes. Teams are Dada, teams are number one defense
like the Thunder. I want all situations, all experience so
when we go into this postseason, we can be battled,
tested and be ready to rock and roll.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
So I get it. But with a couple of games
to go, right, what are you got three or fourty three? Yeah?
You just never know.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Like it's one of those things you don't want to
be unless you can really alter where you are.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
And I think they still can.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
You want to play their Jouston yet, right? I mean,
what does it separate? It's like four teams separated by
one or two games.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Two games.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
It's like if you're fourth, right now, I can pull
up the exact one, but you can mess around drop
all the way out. If your last year returns right,
you could wind up being in the playing it is.
It's actually crazy right now in the West. So you
got the obviously the thunder. Second is the Rockets have
fifty two, so they pretty much theyve blocked that. The
third is where that you know, you got the Lakers
(35:50):
up a game and the half of the Nuggets who
knows what's gonna happen with them now, and the Clippers
are right behind.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Clippers have been the quietest team all season long. I
guess who's been playing outstanding. I hate to even say it,
but why would you bring it up? I know, Kawhi
would you bring up? Why would you mention it? Just
keep it quiet? And so he's been playing, playing, and
that's why, man, that's why I can telling you him
and Kyrie. But that's why when people were like, why
did the Clippers choose him over Paul George?
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Are you kidding? And he're healthy? He's right. Two years
ago he got won two championship. Paul Georgia has nothing
in his dowry.
Speaker 6 (36:26):
And yeah, oh no, no, no, they're both perfectly healthy.
They're not the same player. They both are all great
offensive and even Kawhi different. Kawhi is absolutely different. You
got the Warriors still right behind the Clippers. You got
forty six for the Clippers, forty six for the Warriors,
forty six for the Timber was forty six for the Grizzlies.
Rob all locked in right there, trying to get these
(36:49):
third or fourth seeds
