dead serious about this. You probably heard a lot of

writing off the Chiefs and all this other stuff. But
anybody can do reactionary radio, anybody after the fact. And

is giving you some insight. That's why you listen to
the Odd Couple. You know, there was things that went
on in the in the games on Sunday, and what
you say when the Chiefs wire limit, Rob said that

heard it here. We talk about these things. If we
didn't talk about it just when they started losing Kelvin.
This was last year, am I Right when they were
winning all the games. I was telling you about some

not just react to when things happen, good or bad.
Anybody can do that. That's not what we do here.

of course I've never wished anything bad on Patrick Mahome.
That's just to lose, but not him the person for
him to be injured, No, I was for that. But
Rob G, you know a lot of people are trying
to make the parallel, like, oh, this happened to Tom

Brady and then they were all for a while, nine years, ten,
nine seasons, then they came back and had a second run.

Well they're making that comparison for good reason, Rob because
just for context, we mentioned yester Patrick Mahomes suffered the
torn acl yesterday in there. We'll call it season ending
loscause they're out of the postseason connection. There are seasons over.

talking them out there, we're going to run the table.

the reason why they're bringing up the Tom Brady reference
is because Tom Brady suffered his torn acl at almost

part that people leave out on the Patriots in their

Fame tight end? Patrick Mahomes has regressed the last two years,
and are they going to revert to cheating which is
what saved Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

I sit here confidently in saying Patrick Mahomes is done
in the championship winning business.

First, I will say, you called the Chiefs not making

The reason why I don't think I didn't think they
would be fifteen to two because I thought they would
lose close games in comparison what they did last year,
not be one in seven in those right, so you
split the difference. Maybe they're you know, five and two

of everything for them. They're in the postseason. They're not
as great as they were record wise last year, but

Here's where I disagree with you, and I think they
found themselves in a question of moving forward. He's going
to be gone potentially nine months to a year. We'll

a comeback? Let me find that second win? Is this
so I'm talk about saying we've had a great run,
whether it's himself saying I'm retiring, or if it's the

will be left to see the next year or so.
I don't think it happens immediately, but the next year

will the Patrick Mahomes era with the Chiefs be more
like the Dallas Cowboys of the nineties or the Tom
Brady as you just referenced with the Patriots.

a bunch, But will they win three and five? Like
the nineties have stars, We remember them, we think of
them finally, all man, the Cowboys of the nineties were

Will they be that version or will they be more
like the Patriots?

Get that eight year, nine year lull in between, refurbish,
get the thing going back again. And I thought about it,
and I think what the Patriots were able to do
was absolutely ridiculous and maybe won't be done for another
forty fifty years. But you're doing knowledge cheating part oh
without a doubt. I mean, they found a way to
have things in their favor. You're filming stuff you got defense.
Nobody else he's got defensive signals. Yeah, they're doing for

be able to get another one and maybe go to

a running back with the big name? Can they start
to rely on him? If you look at a guy
like Peyton Manning was putting up crazy historic numbers for years.

he had tight End Dallas Clark Meeting. He had a
bunch of great guys in their prime. Can Patrick Mahomes
for maybe two three years flounder around a little bit,

then they give retool him with that, and next thing,
you know, he's making a John Elwell like where I
have my Terrell Davis, I have my rod uh what
was his name that the receiver forgot his name? But
Rod Smith, robs Ed McCaffrey, I'm running, got Shannon Sharp,
I got a great defense. Will he have those things
where he can get off and get a couple more?

Can he be Peyton Manning with the Broncos point being,
guys can get some at the end where they don't
have to be everything. That's what I think is gonna happen.
I agree it won't be a Patriot run off another
bunch of Super Bowl titles, but I think he can
get a John Lway one or two once they built
around him and he's not everything.

is you got to look at how they built the team,
the general manager and all those guys who built that team.
A lot of those guys are gone now. And uh
so for for Calvin, he should be appy because John
Dorothy was the guy who initially drafted a lot of
those guys and he's in Detroit. So you know, they've
been pretty bad at building the offensive line, keeping keeping

the homes healthy in the big games, like the Eagles
teed off on him.

it again. If I had to make a comparison, I
would probably say the Warriors we're moving into the Warriors
post KD. I could see them maybe sneaking into one

super Bowl, getting one more. But the days of ripping
off three, three appearances and then three years, four appearances
and five years, I think I think those days are over.
I think I think they're going to be a kind
of like a Middland team and maybe they can rip
off one more just because I think Mahomes is that good.

next year and get draft picks soon this year because
they should pick top ten tour twelve, you know, maybe
find a bridge next year, get it, maybe another top
ten top twelve pick. Use those draft picks to build
because Worthy and those guys they're young enough. They really

of guys on what three four year contracts right now.
So if they play it right, they can do it.
But I think it requires him not rushing him back.

for them. You look at the defense, what they've been

and defensively you're talking about scoring, top yards allowed, they
were fourth in the NFL, fifth in points allowed, they
are top five in a couple other categories as well,
and six in the league and rushing yards allow, so
on and so forth. So he really was able to

be just that catalyst, not that he was Bruce Smith,
the return of Reggie White, but he played obviously, we
know he's been the most double and triple team throughout
this league. So losing him, to me now makes them
the same Packers. They have been good, but they won't
make it anywhere and get in the playoffs. Good, but
they won't. They won't make it to the NFC Championship

Ship Game, which ultimately, of course, is trying to get
to a super Bowl. Because to me, they just go
exactly back to what they have been. He was that
missing component that made them dangerous. Not good, they're good.

So to me, they go back to where they were.

they almost looked like they didn't miss him.

a perfect example because in the Lions, while he comes
back and they give them all this money, you know,
and all this other stuff. But if you really look
last year at where they were, they did okay with that.

We've talked about this before. Two teams that keep losing players,
big name players all over. I mean, shoot, they love
Brian branch a week ago and they look, you know,
they compete against the Rams, the forty nine ers, and
the Lions lose so many players and somehow are still
relatively good, if not great, depending on the season. They
just because they were the two teams that are so

tough and physical. They run the ball, they practice hardy
pads all day, all week like, and it's no wonder
those are the two teams that get hurt. In fact,
they might want to reconsider some things so they can
actually have players not be so hurt all the time.

bunch of great guys in their prime. Can Patrick Mahomes
for maybe two three years flounder around a little bit,

have my Terrell Davis, I have my rod uh what
was his name that the receiver forgot his name? But
Rod Smith, robs Ed McCaffrey, I'm running, got Shannon Sharp,
I got a great defense. Will he have those things
where he can get off and get a couple more?

Can he be Peyton Manning with the Broncos point being,
guys can get some at the end where they don't
have to be everything. That's what I think is gonna happen.
I agree it won't be a Patriot run off another
bunch of Super Bowl titles, but I think he can
get a John Lway one or two once they built
around him and he's not everything.

You saw they did the Lions. Lions had a chance
to come back. Michael Parsons running through there, making big

plays towards the end, and that was a difference maker
for them. You look at the defense, what they've been
able to be obviously within him a part of the team,
and defensively you're talking about scoring, top yards allowed, they
were fourth in the NFL, fifth in points allowed, they
are top five in a couple other categories as well,
and six in the league and rushing yards allow, so
on and so forth. So he really was able to

be just that catalyst, not that he was Bruce Smith,
the return of Reggie White, but he played obviously, we
know he's been the most double and triple team throughout
this league. So losing him, to me now makes them
the same Packers. They have been good, but they won't
make it anywhere and get in the playoffs. Good, but
they won't. They won't make it to the NFC Championship

Ship Game, which ultimately, of course, is trying to get
to a super Bowl. Because to me, they just go
exactly back to what they have been. He was that
missing component that made them dangerous. Not good, they're good.
He made them dangerous without him.

Now I'm not I'm not convinced that they can't win
without them. I mean, I just I understand what you're
saying and his talent, but I just I can't write
them off totally. Okay, Well you can go ahead, you

lot of guys on that defensive line and some of
those linebackers were eating because of him. He's getting blocked
double triple team so much that it was helping them out.
So to me, they go back to where they were.
But Hutchison last year went great point okay, went.

Fifteen and two home field, the whole nine yards, and
they almost looked like they didn't miss him.

And we know what a talented player he is.

next group just you just have to regroup. And that's
a perfect example because in the Lions, while he comes
back and they give them all this money, you know,
and all this other stuff. But if you really look
last year at where they were, they did okay with that.

We've talked about this before. Two teams that keep losing players,
big name players all over. I mean, shoot, they love
Brian branch a week ago and they look, you know,
they compete against the Rams, the forty nine ers, and
the Lions lose so many players and somehow are still
relatively good, if not great, depending on the season. They
just because they were the two teams that are so

tough and physical. They run the ball, they practice hardy
pads all day, all week like, and it's no wonder
those are the two teams that get hurt. In fact,
they might want to reconsider some things so they can
actually have players not be so hurt all the time.
