six sixty sixty nine in case you can't figure it out,
the number, the.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Letters all together all right, and the last but not
least Uh wait, wait you forget Michael Mike Tyson thing
I said, last but not least all right?
Speaker 6 (03:13):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (03:13):
If you don't, I know you are because I really
like well, I don't have my script. It's funny because
I literally have the script in front of me right now.
He doesn't want it. Yeah, no, what's the last one?
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Right? Damn the Mike Tyson.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
If you if you get to turn your radio down right.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
And if you call in here and have a problem
with what we say to you, it's tough because.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Well, I'm talking to you the way I want to
talk to you.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Problem, turn off your station?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Why? And then the last one? With that being said,
always remember.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
The odd Couple was filmed in front of a live audience.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Sweetie, Yeah, never said say my name nothing you left
out say.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
My name Rob Parker, his name Kelvin Washington. It is
the couple.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I'm telling you without my script, I feel like Kelvin
reading the news in the morning.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
This is what you feel like. The teleprompter went down.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Oh no, I'd love that actually happens because they already go.
Oh lord, he's about to go.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
But anyway, it is a magic city Monday, and man,
I have been out there in.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
The parking lot since last night after this NFL Sunday.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Let me welcome in my co hosts. You use your
sheet to wipe yourself as kelvin Washington?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
What up?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Man?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
What did I tell you? What did I text you
guys yesterday that you're already here and that you needed things?
And I think you had things.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Rob g knows I was serious to write I said
I was officially out of baby oil last night.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Clearly we know, and you're trying to ruin my good
game going experience.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Let me know how excited you were. I don't want
to know you like that.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
It was man so much any different things to talk about? Wow, Wow, Sunday,
wasn't it?
Speaker 7 (05:04):
It?
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Really? It really was.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
And the thing that I guess, you know, we talk
about a lot of stuff on here and I'm not
gonna rub it in and tell you I.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Told you so. But I told you so.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Well.
Speaker 7 (05:16):
I know.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Rob Je was like, please, I know. We don't want
to say that.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
The chiefs would be eliminated Okay, you can get that
one right, Okay, that the Lions would lose and that
they won't make the playoffs and now they stay out there.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
But it is scarce. Okay, it's took it big time.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Riverstows that pick at the end of the game, right,
they lose, And I don't care what anybody says, Oh well,
he's forty four, he looked at But no, no, no, Seattle
had six field goals like at home, no touchdowns, and
you didn't win that game.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
No, no, no, that's a bad loss for the Colts.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
I don't care what anybody tries to sell you on that,
so I'm not having it. Shador has the three interceptions
didn't play well, right, can you say that did not
play well?
Speaker 4 (06:00):
And the Ravens went.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Big them to lose, But that was a big game,
just the way that they played and whatnot. And then,
last but not least, Matthew Stafford to me, dropped in
the MVP race because Josh Allen turned in another that's
like three performances.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
But this is the last thing. And no, I want
to say this.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Though real quick, and I know people, you know I'm
dead serious about this. You probably heard a lot of
radio today and a lot of people talking and people
writing off the Chiefs and all this other stuff. But
anybody can do reactionary radio, anybody after the fact. And
(06:45):
that that's what I think we pride ourselves on this show,
is giving you some insight. That's why you listen to
the Odd Couple. You know, there was things that went
on in the in the games on Sunday, and what
you say when the Chiefs wire limit, Rob said that
I have people tweet me tell me, you know, like
(07:06):
that was the first thing I thought about because you
heard it here. We talk about these things. If we
didn't talk about it just when they started losing Kelvin.
This was last year, am I Right when they were
winning all the games. I was telling you about some
of this stuff. But anyway, make sure you listen to
a radio show that's gonna give you some insight and
(07:28):
not just react to when things happen, good or bad.
Anybody can do that. That's not what we do here.
We appreciate you. Make sure people aren't taking you for
granted and not giving you what you really look for
in the radio show. And that's what we do here.
All right, let's do this, Rob g I know, everybody's
(07:50):
talking about Patrick Mahomes and oh he's tom Brady wishes. Yeah,
of course I've never wished anything bad on Patrick Mahome.
That's just to lose, but not him the person for
him to be injured, No, I was for that. But
Rob G, you know a lot of people are trying
to make the parallel, like, oh, this happened to Tom
(08:12):
Brady and then they were all for a while, nine years, ten,
nine seasons, then they came back and had a second run.
Speaker 8 (08:19):
Well they're making that comparison for good reason, Rob because
just for context, we mentioned yester Patrick Mahomes suffered the
torn acl yesterday in there. We'll call it season ending
loscause they're out of the postseason connection. There are seasons over.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
For them, even though all these analysts were on TV
talking them out there, we're going to run the table.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Well that's another story.
Speaker 8 (08:37):
Expected recovery timeline is nine to twelve months, so his
start of next season is in jeopardy as well. But
the reason why they're bringing up the Tom Brady reference
is because Tom Brady suffered his torn acl at almost
the exact same time in.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
His career as Patrick Mahomes did.
Speaker 8 (08:52):
Start number one eleven for Tom Brady, start number one
twenty six Pats Mahome, both of them in their ninth season,
both of them in their ninth seeds and missed the
playoffs entirely, and.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Then the rest was history. With Tom Brady, here's the difference.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
There is no comparison.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
I sit here very confidently confidently today in saying.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
That Patrick Mahomes will not win again.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
He is not the Tom Brady scenario that we saw
and went nine years. Remember, there's a lot of things
here with the Chiefs that I'm not buying.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Okay, to make it equal a Bill Belichick wasn't going
anywhere when that happened.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Andy Weed sixty eight years old, a pork chop away
from not being the head coach of the Kandiacy Chiefs.
I'm just saying the funniest thing, you know, people feel
like voodoo on somebody.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
You puts on people, just say it a Hall of
Fame tight end, and Kelsey's gonna retire com on right,
They're gonna lose that.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
And then Patrick Mahomes, tom Brady wasn't going down in
his gills set.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Or his numbers go.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Look, Patrick Mahomes has requested for two years. And have
you looked at him size wise? He's got the Dad bond.
I'm serious, Like he put right. Would you say that
he's put Patrick Mahomes?
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, he was never spot no no, no.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
But but I'm just saying, so I'm not buying that
this is the same scenario and they're gonna have a
break and they come back and win. And the last
part that people leave out on the Patriots in their
second run was the cheating. Are they gonna cheat like
the Patriots so they could lose their coach Hall of
(10:46):
Fame tight end? Patrick Mahomes has regressed the last two years,
and are they going to revert to cheating which is
what saved Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
I'm out on the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
I sit here confidently in saying Patrick Mahomes is done
in the championship winning business.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
First, I will say, you called the Chiefs not making
the postseason, so you get that for me.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
I'll give you that on that.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
The reason why I don't think I didn't think they
would be fifteen to two because I thought they would
lose close games in comparison what they did last year,
not be one in seven in those right, so you
split the difference. Maybe they're you know, five and two
is eight five and three. Okay, that changes the course
of everything for them. They're in the postseason. They're not
as great as they were record wise last year, but
(11:34):
they're in postseason.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
So I didn't see that coming.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Here's where I disagree with you, and I think they
found themselves in a question of moving forward. He's going
to be gone potentially nine months to a year. We'll
see how that works out. I do agree, Andy Reed.
What does this mean? Are you ticked off? Is this
a comeback? Let me find that second win? Is this
so I'm talk about saying we've had a great run,
whether it's himself saying I'm retiring, or if it's the
(11:57):
organization saying, hey man, we had a heck of a run.
We glad you brought you in. It worked out. Go
ahead and enjoy the rest of your life. So that
will be left to see the next year or so.
I don't think it happens immediately, but the next year
or two, we'll see what happens there. Travis Kelce, obviously,
go ahead, bro, it's time to retire, Go ahead and
live a good life. You've got a good life ahead,
and marry her up, get pregnant, go ahead, live your life.
(12:17):
I'm sure you'll be in movies, you'll be on TV,
you'll be all that good stuff. Now the question becomes,
will the Patrick Mahomes era with the Chiefs be more
like the Dallas Cowboys of the nineties or the Tom
Brady as you just referenced with the Patriots.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Will they win three and five?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
You know that whole thing for there, They went to
a bunch, But will they win three and five? Like
the nineties have stars, We remember them, we think of
them finally, all man, the Cowboys of the nineties were
a big team.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Andy Reid, Jim Johnson, are Emma Smith? Ain't one sense?
Will they be that version or will they be more
like the Patriots?
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Get that eight year, nine year lull in between, refurbish,
get the thing going back again. And I thought about it,
and I think what the Patriots were able to do
was absolutely ridiculous and maybe won't be done for another
forty fifty years. But you're doing knowledge cheating part oh
without a doubt. I mean, they found a way to
have things in their favor. You're filming stuff you got defense.
Nobody else he's got defensive signals. Yeah, they're doing for
(13:12):
without a doubt.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
And I thought about it because I talked too about
it with Rob g and I said, man, what they
be like the Patriots of Coppins? And you know what
I came up with.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
They're gonna end up he being Patrick Mahomes be more
like John Elway, I think, meaning he won't go to four, five,
six more later like a Brady, But I think he'll
be able to get another one and maybe go to
one or two more like John Elway did, because I
think the onus will now be on the Chiefs. Can
he get more players? Can he get his DeVante Adams?
Speaker 4 (13:40):
You know?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Can he get the big name guys? Can they get
a running back with the big name? Can they start
to rely on him? If you look at a guy
like Peyton Manning was putting up crazy historic numbers for years.
Peyton Manning had Edrin James, Reggie Wayne, he had Marvin Harrison,
he had tight End Dallas Clark Meeting. He had a
bunch of great guys in their prime. Can Patrick Mahomes
for maybe two three years flounder around a little bit,
(14:01):
then they give retool him with that, and next thing,
you know, he's making a John Elwell like where I
have my Terrell Davis, I have my rod uh what
was his name that the receiver forgot his name? But
Rod Smith, robs Ed McCaffrey, I'm running, got Shannon Sharp,
I got a great defense. Will he have those things
where he can get off and get a couple more?
(14:22):
Can he be Peyton Manning with the Broncos point being,
guys can get some at the end where they don't
have to be everything. That's what I think is gonna happen.
I agree it won't be a Patriot run off another
bunch of Super Bowl titles, but I think he can
get a John Lway one or two once they built
around him and he's not everything.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
I think that'll that'll be more likely to here's the
last piece.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Look at all the young quarterbacks in the AFC two
like like, there's a ton like of guys that are
in the way as they try to disagree with that
and that, and that's Tom Brady did not have that
like not.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
He had Peyton, but that was it. I'm serious, that
was his do disrespect oh Man Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger it
ain't the same.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
But none of these guys have eaten or tasted a championship,
and once they do, you never know what happened. But
all right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Lay, I'm
feeling great?
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Are you kidding? ABC? Ding Dong? The Witch is dead.
I'm all for it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I think a lot of people are with that, though
I do agree. I'm on the top myself. I said
they wouldn't make the playoffs before the season, and I'm
here to tell you they will not.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Patrick Mahold will not n ot win another Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
It's a wrap. John Elway, He'll get He'll get one
or two more at the end. We'll continue that conversation
next with you. What do you think it is?

Rock You know who this is, uh covin Ti Santana.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah all right, And for over forty years, tire Rack
has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive, ship fast and free back
by Free Road has a protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation, tierrac dot com the way tire
buying should be. We're gonna get these calls in. Uh.
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox I'm done. I
(17:36):
say the Chiefs are done. Uh you said a bolt
one here? Kelvin says, no, no, no, no, no, this just
as the Chiefs. You said, Patrick Mahomes will never win
another shit. Yeah, that's a bold stay. Yeah, no, no, no,
I'm just looking at everything that I've seen. And again
I said the same thing about Tom Brady and they
went to nine years, but then of course the cheating
came in and they started winning again. Eight seven, seven
(17:58):
ninety nine on Fox. Oh we got Justin and Bermuda.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's
up Justin?
Speaker 5 (18:07):
What going on you guys?
Speaker 4 (18:08):
How are you?
Speaker 7 (18:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (18:12):
Man, it's all good. I agree with Roblin this one
for a couple of reasons. One, it's very rare that
you get quarterbacks who come up to Gate winning all
the time who then kind of come back to it
later on, like Tom Brady was the outlier. It's not
gonna happen like and the other part. The other reason
(18:34):
is you got to look at how they built the team,
the general manager and all those guys who built that team.
A lot of those guys are gone now. And uh
so for for Calvin, he should be appy because John
Dorothy was the guy who initially drafted a lot of
those guys and he's in Detroit. So you know, they've
been pretty bad at building the offensive line, keeping keeping
(18:56):
the homes healthy in the big games, like the Eagles
teed off on him.
Speaker 7 (18:59):
In the Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
I just don't see it.
Speaker 7 (19:02):
They're not built to last.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
I'm with you, appreciate the call. Thanks for tripping Jordan
from d C. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Jordan?
Speaker 7 (19:13):
Oh hey, hey Rob Calvin. How you guys doing well?
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (19:18):
Oh, thank you so much, guys. Happy holidays to you.
When when assession the Chiefs, I agree. I don't see
them as being the Brady Patriots where they're going to
rip off a bunch of championships. But I also don't
see the nineties Cowboys where we're never going to see
it again. If I had to make a comparison, I
would probably say the Warriors we're moving into the Warriors
post KD. I could see them maybe sneaking into one
(19:39):
super Bowl, getting one more. But the days of ripping
off three, three appearances and then three years, four appearances
and five years, I think I think those days are over.
I think I think they're going to be a kind
of like a Middland team and maybe they can rip
off one more just because I think Mahomes is that good.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
And that's exactly Mike Jordan. That's why I said, lway
he went to three.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Just want you to all the time when the home
showed up, Kansas City didn't win the Super Bowl fifty years.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
I'm just saying, but that means he's that guy though.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
But I'm just telling you it doesn't happen as often
as people would want to believe that it happens, and
usually have a lot of things have to go right,
you have the right coach situation.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
I agree with that Glass call. No, that's but I
get what you're saying. But there's certainly I think it's
harder than you think.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
Tim in Atlanta, Chili, Tim, you're on the yard couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (20:27):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Bro?
Speaker 7 (20:28):
Ronn?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
What up?
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Chili, Rob.
Speaker 10 (20:31):
You know, usually you and I are kind of you know,
we agree most of the time. But I'm going just
a couple of points here, just a little. I think
I might agree with Kelvin because wait, Chilli.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Ain't no Mike, just say it. It's okay to say it, Chili.
Come on, you.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Agree with me?
Speaker 10 (20:46):
Okay, okay, okay, Kelvin, I will agree with you at
some point. And this is why, because I heard you
say earlier about you know, the young quarterback's only really
two young quarterbacks or Drake May and bo Nick's Trevor
Lawn see the stall these guys, he's already beat you know,
they could never beat him before. Plus now this is
what I would do, keell him. Now, this is why
I say I would agree if the Chiefs take this route,
(21:08):
I would let him shit out as long as possible
next year and get draft picks soon this year because
they should pick top ten tour twelve, you know, maybe
find a bridge next year, get it, maybe another top
ten top twelve pick. Use those draft picks to build
because Worthy and those guys they're young enough. They really
(21:29):
have a young team. And then you have a lot
of guys on what three four year contracts right now.
So if they play it right, they can do it.
But I think it requires him not rushing him back.
Just just kind of deal with it where you are
right now. You're gonna suck for another year or so,
you know, for the rest of this year, maybe even
next year, and retool and get use that to get
(21:51):
some good draft picks. Don't try to rush back. Let
him get out.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
And it's okay too, Tim.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
You could be wrong with Elvin, I understand. I just
want you to have you.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Looked at Kelvin's football picks on the pigs get I
told you was about to happen.
Speaker 10 (22:09):
Yeah, you know every nine and then you know he
can be right every Okay. You know, you and I
mostly agree mostly the time.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
That's why that's why, that's why they call you crazy
chili your ray with rob Chilie.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Hey, rob G, I want you to jump in and
we're gonna take Casey and they get the Steve to Sega.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
But Rob G, their cap situation is not going.
Speaker 6 (22:29):
Twenty twenty six.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
Even with just the top fifty one, which is like
the rest of the bottom guys, you can move around
thirty five million over the cap. Here the cap number
some of the Patrick Mahomes coming up to twenty A.
CL's cap number is seventy eight million dollars.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Chris Jones thirty two, who.
Speaker 8 (22:44):
Has been declining the last couple, Yes, forty five million dollars.
Jawan Taylor one of the worst right tackles in football
relative to salary, twenty eight million dollars. So like, if
you look at their offensive line, the right tackle cap
number twenty eight, right guard twenty five, best we tackle nineteen.
So it's not like they haven't invested in the offensive line.
He's hit on the wrong guy exactly.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Uh real quick, Casey and Oregon, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio one to get you in.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Thanks buddy, how are you?
Speaker 11 (23:12):
I'm good, guys, Happy holiday. Yes, I'm gonna agree with
Rob here. I think the Chiefs will Pat Mahomes will
never play in a Super Bowl again. Look at all
these young talented quarterbacks Herbert May Jade and Daniels Caleb Williams. Guys,
never forget how hard it is to win an NFL.
(23:34):
And I think Andy Reid is going to be gone
in a year too.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
I agree, it's gonna be U all you can need
uh stop it at sis he's about he's gonna get
them jabs.
Speaker 11 (23:46):
It's gonna be an uphill battle for them to get
back there.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
All right, thank you, Thank you, appreciate it. Tan.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Second point, we all assume that these young guys will
get there. Tom Brady didn't allow a lot of guys
to get there. George didn't let a lot of guys
get that. I'm saying meaning they won so much they
were right there. It was essentially tolerated. Grossman went to
a super You brought the NFC. But I'm gonna you
own a conference, all right, Steven Sager, I'm gonna get
(24:14):
a set on what is tritting Hay Steve.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Some good football, some good comebacks, some good games. We
had some bad news for a couple of players. We
just talked about one and Patrick Mahomes another one, Michael
Parsons got some bad news official today.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
Yeah, it's really unfortunate.
Speaker 8 (24:39):
It's rare that you see two guys, especially of that caliber,
suffer the same injury in the same day. But Amri
confirmed Michaeh Parsons will miss the rest of this season
and potentially started next season with the torn acl It
was a non contact injury going after bone. Diick tried
to get a sack in that game. It was a
great game, and then as soon as he went down,
it was like the air was taken out of Green
Bay Safe.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
They want to lose that game and.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
Doctor Jerry Jones and the Cowboys won.
Speaker 8 (25:05):
Their outlook for the rest of the season. Uh, look
a little mercy.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Let me thank thank you, Roberg.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Let me first of all, I was gonna talk about
just that whole thing. I'm so tired of the Jerry
Jones got a right crowd. Right for three weeks, they
looked alright to beat the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
You know what, Oh look at that and.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Go they got.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
We all owe Jerry and I will owe Jerry nothing.
They look worse than them.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
They with Mike maccart points Mike McCarthy went twelve and
five three years in a row, and then they let
him go. And when when Dak was healthy, bet I digress,
but no getting back to to Mike and Dry. Obviously
it's a tough blow and nobody wants to see anybody
go down like that's not how you want your teams
to win.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
But I look at this as man. He was that
icing on the cake for them. He was that thing.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
They've been a good team under Matt Lafloor for some years.
They've been a good team last couple with Jordan Love.
This was that thing that got them over the top.
This was their Mariano Rivera. You love baseball, dang it.
That was a That was the guy that came in.
He said, all right, we're up seven, we're up four.
You saw they did the Lions. Lions had a chance
to come back. Michael Parsons running through there, making big
(26:09):
plays towards the end, and that was a difference maker
for them. You look at the defense, what they've been
able to be obviously within him a part of the team,
and defensively you're talking about scoring, top yards allowed, they
were fourth in the NFL, fifth in points allowed, they
are top five in a couple other categories as well,
and six in the league and rushing yards allow, so
on and so forth. So he really was able to
(26:31):
be just that catalyst, not that he was Bruce Smith,
the return of Reggie White, but he played obviously, we
know he's been the most double and triple team throughout
this league. So losing him, to me now makes them
the same Packers. They have been good, but they won't
make it anywhere and get in the playoffs. Good, but
they won't. They won't make it to the NFC Championship
(26:52):
Ship Game, which ultimately, of course, is trying to get
to a super Bowl. Because to me, they just go
exactly back to what they have been. He was that
missing component that made them dangerous. Not good, they're good.
He made them dangerous without him.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Now I'm not I'm not convinced that they can't win
without them. I mean, I just I understand what you're
saying and his talent, but I just I can't write
them off totally. Okay, Well you can go ahead, you
can write them off or whatever. I'm not here to
write them off yet.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
That was my super Bowl. You ain't writing them off,
But you writing off Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Yes, he's already He's won a lot and there's a
lot of things that's there's a lot of and there's
a lot of stuff that goes with it now. My
only thing is I'm not convinced they were my Super
Bowl pick, which I'm not changing.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
And Rob g, I think I picked them before the
trade you did.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
And so so I like what they had and obviously,
like you said, frosting on the top, extra frosting.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
But I wasn't ready.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
I had picked them, and I picked the Lions in
that division not to make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
It was all these things that I liked about them.
But we'll see.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Uh, I'm still I'm gonna stick with them. But it's
a blow, there's no doubt. I'm not trying to act
like he didn't have any talent or he doesn't. Him
not playing doesn't matter, but it's not. Oh the season's over,
fold up your tent. You got no shot at winning.
I'm not there.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
No, Listen, they're a good team. That's why I said
they're good. But to me, he made them.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Ooh, that's a dangerous team if they're going if Jordan
Love is having one of those games and that defense
they get up you know, seven ten points, and they
got an ability to go rush the quarterback and a
lot of guys on that defensive line and some of
those linebackers were eating because of him. He's getting blocked
double triple team so much that it was helping them out.
So to me, they go back to where they were.
But Hutchison last year went great point okay, went.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Fifteen and two home field, the whole nine yards, and
they almost looked like they didn't miss him.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
And we know what a talented player he is.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
So I'm just trying to tell you why well, but
I'm just saying, like it tells you that people the
next group just you just have to regroup. And that's
a perfect example because in the Lions, while he comes
back and they give them all this money, you know,
and all this other stuff. But if you really look
last year at where they were, they did okay with that.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
They did the only difference I think, and this is weird.
We've talked about this before. Two teams that keep losing players,
big name players all over. I mean, shoot, they love
Brian branch a week ago and they look, you know,
they compete against the Rams, the forty nine ers, and
the Lions lose so many players and somehow are still
relatively good, if not great, depending on the season. They
just because they were the two teams that are so
(29:37):
tough and physical. They run the ball, they practice hardy
pads all day, all week like, and it's no wonder
those are the two teams that get hurt. In fact,
they might want to reconsider some things so they can
actually have players not be so hurt all the time.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
My gush trios for the Lions in the forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
All right, Yeah, on the way Shekel City we got
also played other day as well, and we gotta get
you ready for a big Monday night football because there's
a team that've been doing all right, nobody's really been
talking about. They've been won a bunch lately, a handful
of games. We'll talk about that.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Next.

sick and can he ain't coming.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
To the super Bowl. No, he's coming, claims you. He
don't want to hear nothing. You got to say.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
You already know all those people. Where's where's the chiefs
Kingdom that he used to rip me on? I haven't
heard from any of those.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Of course you won't. I gotta come in here, man
up and take it. You know I'm here, all right,
Let's get to it. It's out for your tirerec Player
of the.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
Day first out of ten of the twenty two. They
call it snap play fake, Well only he was right.
Caleb running out of time, gotta gut it into the
end zone. Back of the end zone. Whats up, fat
Jane Moore? Touchdown? Bears. You thought that play was a
throwaway and Caleb Williams launched.
Speaker 10 (31:24):
It to DJ Moore of the end zone.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Twenty that three Bears.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
You gotta admit that was some throw Oh yeah, no, no, no,
the dog was that that.
Speaker 6 (31:34):
Was some throw to be intercepted.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Huh.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
I know to be in no doubt because there were
three defense there's a I don't know how the ball
got in it.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
Roll into your right back, across your left through three
defenders in the back of the end zone.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
That was We're gonna be on a ride with him.
He is gonna have some of the most amazing plays.
And he's got a couple of blood Like why would
he throw that? He is crazy talented. Somebody told him
that he's dag near fasted Lamar and I had to
sit with that for a minute. I was like none,
they said as Lamar and I had to sit with that.
That was that was first.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
I was like none that.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
I was like, he maybe he's near Lamar on that
pure athleticism. That was bears radio right there, your tyrect

It is the way tire buying should be now the
(32:25):
time for shekel city dude.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
All Right, on Friday I was two and one. That
brings my record to ninety five and eighty five on
the year.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
We made some shekels September. Here we go tonight, best bet.
I got the Knicks minus two and a half hosting
the Spurs at Madiskin Square, Madison Square Garden. Right, I'm
gonna take the Clippers minus four and a half they host.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
The Memphis Memphis. I'm about to say favor four and
a half, their favorite here in LA.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
And then I'm going to take Denver, who's the underdog
at home, Denver plus one and a half taking on
the Rockets. So I got Denver plus one and a half,
Clippers minus four and a half, and the New York
Knickerbockers two and a half. And remember, Kelvin, I'm not
telling you who to bet on. I'm telling you who
(33:22):
I bet on. All Right, there you have it, Monday
night football. This is a It's a big game for
more so for obviously the Steelers because the Ravens, I
mean you saw they did to the Bengals, and they
pretty they're on the hunt to try to win that division, right,
only one game out right exactly, and they play again too,
So it's not like, you know, they don't have a
shot at it. You kind of own your own destiny
(33:43):
if you're the Ravens, if you can, you know, win
out and obviously beat the Steelers again. But they're playing
the team in the in the Dolphins, who they kind of.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Just because they we kind of all wrote them off earlier.
And they're not as if they're gonna win anything. But
I mean they've.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
They've come back.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Yeah, you kids sit six and seven, they've won the
last four games. I mean, they're really playing well. Now
here's the trouble. If you're the Dolphins, you'd love to say,
you know, maybe finish the season, go ten and seven,
nine and eight, just say, you know, we got some
momentum building hopefully for next season. The trouble with them
robs both of y'all. Tour is zero to five when
(34:18):
the weather's below forty degrees, and it is below forty
degrees in Pittsburgh, and so I mean, obviously he can
try to break that record, but it's difficult for them
boys who love that warm weather, hate playing outside and
the cold in December and January it's a real thing.
And so they're below forty and he's on five, so
he's had a chance to try to write that shit.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
But this is big for the Steelers. Man.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
You're up one against the Ravens and the Ravens are
kind of surgeing. And to your point, Joe Burrow and
the Bengals had looked pretty good the last couple of games,
even in loss. That's a that's a good ting for
leave them, you know, to blanket them, and it's.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
A big win for them. So still has got to
get this one.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yeah, I mean they gotta feel good about it, right,
the Steelers. Yeah, they're at home, then it's it's cold,
and they just got to do what they need to do.
The Dolphins have had a nice run four in a round.
They're gonna win five in a row. I don't know,
Like matter of fact, I want to add that to
Shekel City.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
What does the spread? Did? Did you see it? They
don't have that in my fitt rogie. What is it?
Speaker 3 (35:18):
The Steelers minus two and a half. I'm gonna guess
at home. That's a good guess actually probably because hugely
it's three. It's been bet up to three. It's been
better for three, so it was two and a half.
I'm just guessed. I really didn't. I'm gonna take the
Steelers minus three. I'm gonna take the minus three in
this game and they win by five or six, not
(35:40):
not the full seven.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
DJ he's playing? Is he? Okay?
Speaker 8 (35:44):
Metcalf, I know he's been he's playing. Yes, he's concerned.
Was Jalen Warren coming? He has a flu? But they
said he's gonna play a nice or they calling it
the Jalen Warren flu game.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
As fans of teams low morrisy just everything right, Okay
what I'm saying Michael Jordan roll rounds the fantasy football
playoffs rop.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
No, it's still no, no, no, no, that the flu game
is reserved for like incredibleness whatever.
Speaker 8 (36:06):
That flu game is the biggest crock in the history
of Chicago's basket. The bad Pizza game. No, my man
was hungover. Don't say he had the flu. Don't say
it was bad pizza. To say that he was out
late for the US was Michael?
Speaker 7 (36:18):
Was it?
Speaker 4 (36:19):
He's a drinker? I don't know, you know what I mean,
like a boozer where I'd like to have you Jo
serious right now? Is joking? Right now? Have you seen the.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
No after every game he didn't even wait to get
to the crib or a sports bar.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
He literally was tracking them things open. I want to
suit on right, but I'm not. That doesn't make you
a boozer. When you say it was hungover, that's all
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
I'm talking about Michael Jordan, like the party, Michael Jordan
took his took his crab very soon. No, no, no, that's
not okay. So that's what I'm saying. When you're saying
that he was hungover, I don't believe that.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
I believe it was. You see what I'm saying. I
don't believe that.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
But hey, Rob ge ailment, whether it be self inflicted
or pizza inflicted or the flu inflicted.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
He still balled out. He didn might be warried.
Speaker 8 (37:08):
About why didn Scotty do some more like no, no,
you got I know you're not feeling well, but you
take care of it because that's Mike.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
So Scotty did. The last time Scotty had to do something,
he had a headache. Remember it was a game. Pressure,
the pressure was covered that game. The pressure was getting
to him. Robed he's I know, he's still mad about it.
