Speaker 7 (03:47):
That's why I had the drink, member had the free reform.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, but they're gonna look at your A one C
or whatever it is. They're not gonna look at the
political What is it called a A?
Speaker 7 (03:55):
I'm gonna I'm gonna wear jeans and a hoodie and
a jacket.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
But what is it?
Speaker 7 (03:59):
What is it called nine pounds in three days? I'm like, yeah,
what is it?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
A one C? You'll go roll with it? Is that
what it is? Rob?
Speaker 7 (04:04):
That's the big important number. I'm trying to.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
I don't know, but I'm trying to. That's what he's
trying to boost all.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
As matter of fact, while I'm mad at Rob g
are we actually sure that Rob p ain't on the.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Wee go V? I'm not on that? Are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Way? Have we? We want to know?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
This is like if you've got a cousin that used
to have a bad hero and see me let me no, no, no,
let me see I see you eat.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
For three hours. There's twenty four hours in the day.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yeah, and you be eating? How you losing on his way?
And you be eating.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Well look what I'm eating. Roger, Robgi and Alex. Y'all
both know him better than me, So I'm gonna need
y'all to come.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Look.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
He might have to show a glute because I think
they stab each other in the glute.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Yes, fridge is empty. I saw my fridge. I need
to put that on social there's my fridge. Well live.
Look at Robert Parker.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
But in the Chrisper he's got some ice coat ozempic.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
That was that was lettuce.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I'm not so I think about that robb Gi. He
has been letting it slide. That the man lost forty
five pounds in not want twenty five. It's gonna be
fifty and somebody robs Alex. You area talking about sons out,
buns out. Check his glutes and see if he's got
some tracks.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
If it's some, just make sure you got a glove on, Alex. Okay,
I just that's right, that's right, Oh my god? All right.
That's the days I can tell Alex is our entina
if I look bigger k dot you do dang. So
you're on Royds and he's on Olympics. What is going up? Robers?
We gotta step our game up.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Brou Martin Weiss is at the anchor desk.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
He'll keep us updated.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
And of course never heard of them, never heard of him,
never heard of him.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I couldn't even get it out.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Elijah's our social media guru, one of the best in
the business, so he'll take it there.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
All right, Uh, let's get started.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Of course, last night Pats and Knicks, I told you,
I just I never thought that they were going to
the Knicks were gonna win that game.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
I know, they got kind of kick it close, but
I just didn't feel it. And I knew that the
Pacers weren't going to sweep the Knicks or whatever. But
my takeaway from game four and the Pacer now up
three to one and Nicks would have to win three
straight games. It's not happening. Can they push it back
after going home? For yeah, they could, you.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
But to me, I'm there when it comes to the Pacers.
But my takeaway is that I would take Tyrese Halliburton
any day of the week over Jalen Brunson. And I
(06:37):
know Jalen Brunson won two championships in college, and I
know what kind of a score he is and fearless
and he was with the clutch Player of the Year
this year and all that other stuff.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
But when you watch Tyrese Halliburton.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
And the performance he put on last night, Rob So
you got the numbers, the full numbers, thirty two points,
you got them.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yeah, it was actually remarkable what he did when he's nothing.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Seriously, you know basketball, those are incredible numbers in a
postseason game, especially the last number.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, so you're looking at a guy who gave you
thirty two, fifteen and twelve zero.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Turnal there's the number you want to talk about.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Nothing in my refrigerator or are trying to lose weight
and all that zero zero And you know this handling
the basketball, right who usually leads the team with point guards?
Speaker 3 (07:39):
It ain't because then they handle the ball more.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Than anybody else. Oh he got a ton of turnover. Yeah,
he's a point guard. He's going to turn the ball over,
trying to force passes and trying to do this and that. Steady,
not flashy, Jalen Brunton, more star power, I.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Get it, the big games all that.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
The part that I love the most about Halliburton is
it when the moment's never too big for him. I
think that's what's impressive. Steady, not flashy, but the moment comes.
Not afraid. Point guard passed first. But when it comes
(08:26):
down to it, is he giving up the rock like
it's a hot potato. No way, no how, He's not afraid.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Me and you.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
We talk about Chauncey Billups all the time. He got
the nickname mister big Shot. He got it for a reason,
didn't he making big shot? Making big shot? Not afraid
to take that shot? Tyree's Halliburton.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Not only is he not afraid to take the shot,
he makes the shot.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
What part don't you like? You know what?
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Because I'd rather have Halliburton and then Jaylen Brunson. Doesn't
mean Jalen Bruns is a bomb and he can't play.
That's not what I'm saying. If you honestly gave me
both and said, who do you want to lead you
to a championship. My biggest knock against Brunson is when
Cat is out there on the court with him.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
I don't even know it.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Seventeen eighteen dribbles, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble.
Now I need to put up a shot right shot,
clock's running down. Tyrese Halliburton put on a clinic last
night in the biggest game of the series because the
Knicks could have got back in it would have win
yesterday and it was a closer game until they pulled
(09:44):
away in the fourth quarter. I would I take Halliburton
over Brunson.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
So I'm taking Tyrese Halliburton as well.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
You know, I call him what the halle right now,
That's what I'm calling him, what the Halliburton for a
couple of reasons. Look at his name. I want you
to put your glasses on, Rob your glasses on. Read
what I wrote here that name right there.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
You wrote Chauncey Billups too.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I wrote Chauncey Billups and I put Chauncey Billups stories
on my little you know notes to do this. The
reason I wrote Chauncey Billups's story is because Chauncey Billups
came to the Pistons and you covered them.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
You were there. I was there every night and what
it's time to be live. He came.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Remember he came as one of the first kind of
combo guards. He was supposed to be scoring coming to
do my thing. And what happened the next year they
got who Larry Brown? And you know the battle him
and Larry had for that bit, I need you to
be a pure point guard more I.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Need you to and and it was an adjustment and
they went at it all and what happened. He wound
up be in the finals MVP, and he credited Larry
Brown with turning his career around.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
And Brown was a point guard you absolutely up in
New York.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
And the reason I bring that up is because I
look at Tyre's Halliburton and it reminds me of a
phrase we use all the time. Styles make fights. Styles
make fights. What style do you want? Do you want
to god da da da da da throws a bunch
of punches. Do you got the little bit more measured guy.
Do you want the guy who goes for more body shots?
Speaker 3 (11:10):
You want the head?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
There are multiple ways to win games, but just to me,
by dominating the ball doesn't mean you're dominating in the
win column. And I think Jalen Brunton, to me, reminds
me of that. You have to realize sometimes you gotta
take it to the next level to incorporate other guys.
You gotta get to that next level. I gotta bring
guys in. I gotta pick and choose when I'm gonna go.
(11:32):
And I give you an example of guys who don't
think of as past first guys, but they even realize
I have to do this a bit differently, get guys
off to win.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Kobe Bryant. Kobe Ryan is a flat out scoring machine.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
We all know that, but Kobe Bryant realize, Man, I
got pow Gasol.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Down there, he's dominating down there. I got Andrew bid them.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
I gotta get these guys involved in order for me
to win, because me putting up thirty five to forty
five is not gonna cut at night in night out.
Let me make sure everybody eats. Even Kobe got like that.
Even MJ, who was one of all time greatest scorers,
if not the greatest scorer we've ever seen, even realize that. Okay,
I'm putting up thirty five thirty seven a game. I'm
gonna have to start getting guys involved. Jalen Brunton is
(12:13):
in that phase where he's gonna have to start getting
guys involved, and it can't be I close my eyes
and I'm determined to score. I'm running in the guy's chest,
Toy Reevez. Halliburton plays that kind of ball everybody wants
to play with. If you're at the pick up courts
in New York, pickup courts in Detroit and you see
him moving the ball, dribble, dribble, Okay, move dribble, dribble, shoot,
You're like, man, I got I want to play with him.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Everybody's eating the ball movement. Everybody can score.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Tonight's Pascal Siakam Tonight is Halliburton Tonight as Nieck Smith
Tonight mouse turner, and it's that kind of fun basketball.
Rob g brought up a number yesterday I thought was
incredible of all the players, he was twenty ninth in
player efficiency usage rate. I'm sorry, his usage rate from
a point guard in twenty twenty five. That is crazy.
(13:00):
You look at kind of the guys at Donovan Mitchell's,
the Lucas, the as we mentioned, Jalen Brunson's, there's a
lot of usage going on and Tyre's.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
The ball and hold on to it.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
And he can do that without having the ball and
still get you thirty thirty, two, fifteen and.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Twelve and zero zero is strowd crazy.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
So he's playing high caliber basketball, high i Q basketball.
It's fun to watch his teams believes in them and
what in last point I'll make he said it. I
love this part.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
He took accountability for Game three. He said, I felt
like I let them down. We were up big. I
kind of took my foot off the gas. I wanted
to bounce back and show my team that we as
a team can bounce back and I can play better
after our backs against the wall and we made some mistakes.
I love that, Love what he's given. Jaylen Brunton is
a heck of a player, a dominating player. But I
(13:51):
am expecting him at some point to realize I gotta
get everyone involved to be the best version of our team.
Speaker 4 (13:57):

Why he was about to hit some rockets up out
of that ballpark tomorrow, Robin. I simple question. You're you're
watching the Eastern Conference finals like we are. Tyres Aliburton,
very very good player, Jalen Bronson, very very good player.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
But who's your liking?
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Who's your choosing between these two point guards in the East,
Halliburton or Brunson eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox?
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Who we got?
Speaker 4 (15:44):
How about Drew in New Jersey? You're on the on
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (15:49):
Drew?
Speaker 8 (15:50):
Hey, it's Tyres Haliburton, And I don't see the chance
to do up Coff. I see the Jason kid with
a jump shot. Everything is similar, old Drew.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Let me tell you, Chauncey up. The chancea cump wasn't style.
I've been saying Jason Kidd or Steve Nash or the
chancey cump. Rob knew, and maybe I didn't articulately relate
it well enough. Was that he he changed the way
he played to be more team friendly versus trying to
be almost like a brunt sat and and you kind
of had to see it to give me right. So
it was style of play completely Jason Kidd without a
(16:20):
doubt got you.
Speaker 8 (16:21):
I got I got a quick, quick thing, real quick.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Hey.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
So I had somebody come up to me, and it's
really it's just a small world. Had someone come up
to me and said, hey, you Drew from New Jersey.
Somebody at work, and keep in mind, I'm in the Navy.
We used last name. So I just think it's a funny, funny,
small world. But you know, stuff like that pops up.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
So wait a minute.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Somebody in the Navy heard you on the radio with us,
was like, are you Drew.
Speaker 8 (16:44):
Oh yeah, it's a senior leader, sten leader. He said, hey,
you grew from New Jersey. I go.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
And Drew.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Hey, Drew, make sure you won't go get in trouble first, like,
you ain't calling on company time, are you?
Speaker 8 (16:56):
I said, my cover is loan.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
You never know who's listening. Yes, thank you? True, that
is funy.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
How about MJ from New Orleans. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, MJ?
Speaker 9 (17:11):
What's going on? The bread Putton Brothers with the extra.
Speaker 10 (17:14):
Room, very nice bread bread pudding. Well, you know Robbi
eating that right now, right now, I'm just playing with it.
Those guys. If you saw my refrigerator. You would realize
I have no bread pudding. You're just paying for electricity.
You're paying for cold air. At this point, ain't nothing in.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
There, Alex. I don't see the up then updated picture
of my refrigerator.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
What's in there now? Cold air? That's it? Literally, and
those epic shots right, Yes.
Speaker 9 (17:41):

who can score ten points to save his life in
a playoff?
Speaker 9 (20:29):
Game man, but the greater of the two.
Speaker 11 (20:32):
I still gotta give it to the to Brunson because
he's working with so much less with the team he
has right now. Yes, he got reunited with the Villa
Noble Boys, but his coach can't coach his way out
of a paper bag. Word that, Derek rose Man, you
already know Dayalen Brunson. One day we'll get to the pinnacle.
Speaker 9 (20:47):
But it's going to have to go through Halliburton.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Yeah, I think Brunton is. The only thing I would
say is I do think he has a little bit more.
He doesn't have as much talent as many scorers a
duo that are capable of scoring as Halliburn and the Pacers,
But I think there's a chance if he again rotate,
move the ball a little bit more, there's more of
a chance to see.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Oh yeah, og can actually score.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Oh Bridges can't actually score more as opposed to dribbling
the air out the ball sometimes. All right, Antonio Daniels
ad getting ready to join us on and just a
little bit right now, we gotta get you set on
what's trending with Martin Weiss.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
What up? Martin?
Speaker 2 (21:20):

Speaker 3 (21:32):
All right, Martin, appreciate you man.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
It's day our couple Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday
and join now as we always are by our man
a d Antonio Daniels. He's an NBA champion, Serious exim
NBA Radio New Orleans Pelicans analyst, Fox Sports Radio NBA analysts.
I'm running out of slashes. He does it all. Cordell
Stewart of the game A d what's up?
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Many? Yo? Antonio?
Speaker 6 (21:56):
Hello, fellas, what's going on? What's going on?
Speaker 9 (21:58):
How you doing?
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (22:00):
We Was that not a Picasso last night by Halliburton?
Speaker 3 (22:03):
I mean, come on, no turnovers?
Speaker 6 (22:07):
Yes it was. And people don't realize how difficult that
is to do, right.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
That's the one you know, like there's a chip your
point guard.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
You're going to turn the ball over if you don't, like,
if you're a guy that doesn't have the ball in
your hands and you don't have a high usage rate,
that's one thing. But he's making place like he's making place,
he's scoring, he's penetrating, he's facilitating, Like, yeah, that's pretty impressive.
That's pretty impressive. But the thing is it's not just
(22:35):
the it's fifteen assists it's hard to get in its
own right, but also just not turning the ball over
at all.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Incredible vessel.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
And I think the part that me and Rob both
like is that he's the timely with the buckets, like, hey,
all right, I'm getting guys up. Who needs Okay, I'm
gonna get him hot. Okay, Pascal's hot. Okay, we'm gonna
get myl turner show. Let me get these all right,
we need a bucket because if you saw the game,
you saw knicks kept coming and it get it down, four,
get it down, five, get it down, six ers up,
and he would make a big shot or two to
(23:05):
get the lead back up to eight or nine and
just keep them out of reach from still in that game.
And I think that's amazing to see as well from
a more past first kind of guy.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
You know, when you think about today's NBA, it's full
of lead guards. And lead guards are guys that can
lead you in scoring or whatever it may be. They
look to score first. And for me, point guard is
not a skill set. It's many guys in the league
that had these skill set to be a point guard.
It's a mindset, and there's a drastic difference in the two.
(23:37):
There are very few point guards in today's NBA. I'm
talking about mindset wise. Skill set wise. It's a million
of them. But I'm talking about guys who are okay
with facilitating, with setting the table first and foremost, and
then understand when to score, when it's time to turn
it on, and when to get everybody involved. That's the
(23:59):
biggest difference from the two things for me. But New
York is a very issocentric team. Daylan Bunson is great
at you. It's a lot of isolation basketball. Everybody for
Indiana is a threat because everybody feels involved.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
No doubt.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
I told Kelvin there was no way the Knicks were
going to come back from that game one collapse.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
That's not a in the NBA.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
With the three pointers, like a twenty point lead in
the first half, and anybody can erase that. But when
you give up fourteen a fourteen point lead with two
thirty something to go in a game, a nine point
lead with fifty something seconds to go, you're not going
to recover.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
And that was a huge loss. And they'll look back
at that.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
And and and and you know, be disappointed that they
gave that up. But my point was, did you think
they could overcome that and the Knicks could bounce back
after Game one?
Speaker 6 (24:54):
I did? I did. And the reason that I did
is because, like, there are certain things that you can
and you can control aaron Ne Smith turning into prime
Steph Curry. You can't control that.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
Yeah, but you know what, as much as I'm gonna
give him some credit, uh, there were a lot of
mistakes by the Knicks, including Jalen Bruston with three turnovers
and crunch time one for three from the field, miss
free throws. There was I could give you like ten
things that had they done one of them, they win
that game, including the miss free throws one.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
But you can and they didn't do it.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
You can, right, And you can say that about a
lot of coming. But here's the thing about.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Not fourteen points and it never at Antonio.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
There were nine hundred and ninety four and oh when
a team at No, that's not I've seen collapses.
Speaker 12 (25:47):
I've seen team lou gains, I feel you, I've never
seen that.
Speaker 8 (25:51):
Never did you think.
Speaker 6 (25:52):
About you think about the first round when you're up seven,
you're down seven versus Milwaukee with thirty four seconds ago.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
We watched that, and book, I remember that, Yes.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
And in the second round they were down seven versus
Cleveland with forty six seconds to go.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
It ain't fourteen, It ain't fourteen.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
That's a Antonio fourteen points.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
I hear you. But even in that same Knicks game,
I don't know what's worse. You're talking about fourteen with
two minutes and thirty seconds ago. What's worse that or
being up nine with fifty two seconds ago?
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Right?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
I mean, both of them are terrible. It's incredible. I
covered the Reggie Miller game against the Knicks. I was
underneath the basket. I covered that game, and that was
that was shocking. But this was the most shocking thing
in thirty nine years of covering sports I had ever seen.
And I've seen collapses in the Red Sox in eighty six,
and you know what I mean. And I've never seen
(26:50):
a team give up that kind of game in my life.
And I thought they won't recover because that's a game.
Had they won that game and say they lost game
two and then they went to Indiana for Game two.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
You have a.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
Totally different feel or series, totally and that being down
losing that game, and then Indiana was playing with house
money in game two.
Speaker 6 (27:11):
But then the thing is, like, as much as we
can talk about what the Knicks have done wrong, aaron
Ne Smith, if he missed this one.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Of those three, if he.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Misses one of them, one of them, like the fact that.
Speaker 9 (27:22):
He hit five of them.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
If he goes if he goes four for five as
opposed to going five for six or six or seven,
the Knicks win that game.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yep, yep, a D. Do you I needed you last week?
This is what I was saying. I was saying to me.
We had a big conversation. I said said it was
not a shoke. It was a tip of the captain
Neie Smith making six threes in two minutes. It's crazy.
It's That's what I was saying.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
A D.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Yeah, we had a hold with you. We had a
whole debate about that book.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Because the thing is, rob The thing is the crazy
part about this is it's not like the Knicks didn't score.
Speaker 12 (27:58):
They scored down but basketball is not just scoring and
that's the that's the issue is that you're totally you're
totally hold on totally acting like Jalen Brunton didn't turn
the ball over okay, like three times. You gotta facilitate
that to set them up for him to make those shots,
you have to miss free throws, so you're getting one
(28:20):
and they're getting three or they're getting that's how you
were race to lead. If you told me the Knicks
had no turnovers or one or didn't miss any free
throws and score points and they lost, then I would
say to you, absolutely, there was nothing that they could do.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
That's what I can't say.
Speaker 6 (28:39):
But here's the thing. It also takes like for me,
we talked about this the next morning, did the Knicks
lose the game or the Indiana take it? And for me,
Indiana took it. That's because when you shoot the basketball
like that, like Aaron nicemiss it. And the thing is
they weren't wide open shots. They were contested shots. And
in today's NBA, where you have to be cognizant of
(29:01):
being too close to a guy because you don't want
to fall him for three, because you.
Speaker 11 (29:04):
Don't want to be in the landing zone.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
It's only so much defense you can play. This is
what we always say. Good offense will be good defense
any day of the week, because you can't truly contest
shots anymore. No, I think I get Indiana all the
credit in the world. They took that game.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
All right, Well, we'll move on from that. You and
I are on the same exact page. Me and Roberts
Scots can both be wrong. Yeah, and let's go to
this game that's happening now here. In a matter of minutes,
we have the Timberwells trying to save Oh, is.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
There another series? There is another series. They're trying to
save their season.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Let's go back to game four and where I'm blown
away here that my two best players, Julius Randall and
also Anthony Edwards can combine for only twenty field goal attempts.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
I think randal or saved. They're gonna win the game.
Win that Don'll make that make sense.
Speaker 6 (29:53):
It doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't. And like
the tell you them. My biggest conundrum with this series.
If you watch this series, they are double teaming Ethney
Edwards everywhere he goes. But on the other end, Minnesota
is allowing the top score in the league and the
league MVP to play one on one. Make that make it?
(30:18):
Watch how often Shake Giljes Alexander has all the time,
space and freedom to get what he wants when he
wants to get it. Now, on the flip side, watch
how much time Edney Edwards is not given because he's
being double teamed by whoever's guarding him in JADUB or
whoever's guarding him and Alice Crusoe or whoever's guarding him
(30:38):
in SCA or whoever's guarding him at Kason Wallace. They're
now allowing Ethney Edwards to play, but on the flip side,
Minnesota is allowing Shake Golds Alexander to play in space
against whoever he wants to. That makes zero sense to me.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
Yeah, that's a great point of that.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Why are they let the MVP get the cook but
they're cooking up defenses again at man Uh that's yeah,
that's we'll see if that changes tonight. Obviously, you do
or die for the Timberwolves. We'll have to wait and
see a d man appreciate it. Uh, were next time,
we'll try to get to more conversations. It's all good.
Speaker 9 (31:15):
It was.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
It was a good.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Conversation great because after that, I didn't think the Knicks
had a shot.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
I really didn't. And they're down three one. Will I
think they're gonna win the next game. Yeah, we'll see,
We'll see you. Yeah I do. I'm not convincing that one. Yeah,
I'm not one. Yeah. I think I think that.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
I think I think Brun's is gonna be like, hey,
y'all get a little too much Halliburton love, let me
get it with me, get one more game before y'all
write me off. I think Hallerburn has one more in them.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
All right, ad appreciate you man, all right, let's appreciate
you guys.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
All right, we got Checho City on the way.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Plus uh speaking of ant man, Kiz Repurchas has something
to say. We'll tell you what it was. It's the
hoca of Robert Kelvin. Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
But they're running blutes on the blue, playing with it,
Rob Parker, Kevin Washington, we are the odd couple. You said,
you're just playing with it. I just try to keep
it moving. I'm just playing with it. I didn't know
what does that mean? Is that I'm just playing with it?
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Don't do it? Rob? Okay? Is that how I sound?
Do I sound like that? Alexad you alter my voice?
I'm just playing with it.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
For a man who has talked for a living for
forty years, you never know what you sound like.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
Rob.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
I'll just let you know. I cut before it and
after it, and that's it. Okay, no altering. Wow, there
it is. We're the couple.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Robin Kelvin on the worship Wednesday here DJ Ali Alex
on the ones and twues and we got h B
conversation I find interesting. We're gonna have here just a
moment before we get to that, of course, it is
time for Shekel City.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Welcome to Shekel City for Rob Park Stalley Dicks against
this right?
Speaker 3 (33:05):
How you doing? Tiger hit so good today?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
It was fun, very nice.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
All right, here we go. I gotta lay out the
pancake joints did pull out?
Speaker 4 (33:16):
All right, here we go, let's do this. I'm just
playing with it. Oh my last night two and one,
one and one thirty nine, Wow, not bad?
Speaker 3 (33:29):
No, Which which one didn't you get? I remember? I'm
sorry last night. Yeah, I think I'll tell you right now.
We'll look quick.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Last night the Giants had the Giants beating the Tigers.
But I got Indiana and I got Say Louis Cardinals.
I got both of those, So here we go tonight.
But you guy, I got what happened to it? I'm sorry,
I lost my page?
Speaker 3 (33:53):
All right? Hold on, hold on, you know when you're
able to go, here we go. I got Oklahoma City
minus eight and a half. I just think it's all
over against Minnesota. That's my best bet.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Yankees minus one and a half going for the sweep
against the Angels, and they got Seattle minus one and
a half. They take it on the Nationals in Seattle.
Those are book later tonight. So Mariner's minus one and
a half runs, Yankees minus one and a half runs,
and the Thunder minus eight and a half runs.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
And Calvin, what's that? I'm not telling you who to
bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on. Smell
those lemon pepper wings?
Speaker 9 (34:27):
Did?
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Is that what you're eating? This man? Wait when you
stop or it's not it's just red meat, the red meat. Yeah,
I was eating too much red meat. I couldn't you
know what.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
I couldn't find enough fish out there like that I
had couldn't cook at home. So it's like really hard.
So I said, I gotta let a little chicken into
my life.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Really.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Yeah, I'm talking about like at a store out like
I could look it at night. I'm not a salmon personally,
but what I'm saying, like a lot of places they
have fried fish and that I can't have.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Fried with If you don't like salmon. No, I've never
been a salmon person. It's a little dry for me.
Can be. It's just that it's a little dry olive oil.
So I'm gonna tell your yeah, shear the outside and
keep it kind.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
And I know it's not the greatest fish, but to me,
talapia with a little salt, pepper, garlic and butter on
top in the oven, twenty minutes in the oven, so
lights delish and I could eat that a nice salad
some green beans and I'm full, and.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
It was healthy and it was light. Now is it tilapia?
Is it man made or something like?
Speaker 4 (35:36):
It's it's the it's the the ocean dwellers, right, they
eat the garbage on the.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yeah, listen, garbage eaters, be all right with me?
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Pigs pigs yep, I know I ain't supposed to eat
I don't want us to lose my bad.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Let's get to that.
Speaker 13 (35:50):
Yeah, rob g what big perk? I had to say
a friend of the show. By the way, we got
him started. We did, We got him started. What do
you want to get I know, but we we They
used to come in the studio, would.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Be here, we were going arounds. He would come down
to the Lakers studio down in El Segundos.
Speaker 14 (36:08):
Rob now has a history of putting up people that
just didn't quite work out.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
It sounded like a thirty for thirty. But in any event,
don't bring up why don't bring up Ryan Holland.
Speaker 7 (36:17):
Also, Kendrick Perker says something this week.
Speaker 14 (36:19):
Dad raised a lot of eyebrows talking about Anthony Edwards
and the idea of him in the face of the league.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 14 (36:24):
Cool, if you're on the list of all the face
of the league in the history of the game, you
look at Larry Bird, Magic, Michael Kobe, shack Lebron Steph
what do they all have in common? While they were
playing in the league? They were all family men. Anthony Edwards,
if you know anything about is off the court persona
is anything but a family man.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
Why he's trying to make a family everywhere he goes
and problem you don't want the family, if you know
what I mean.
Speaker 14 (36:47):
As a result, Perk had issue an apology on social
media today, saying it's one of my favorite players in
the league, if not my favorite.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
I apologize. Probably ESPN made him apologize.
Speaker 7 (36:56):
I guess, so I apologize. Probably is now apologize.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Now party young King from my car. By the way,
I want to applaud myself for that Ryan. When I
told you about Ryan, say you don't got to jump
in everything, and now he's you know what, I realized,
I don't have to jump in everything? Did he most
recent the pivot polics? Like basically I'm realized. We'll talk
a little further about where he went with it, but yeah,
just go ahead on the big Perk. No. No, as
(37:21):
a family man, it is great. I think there's some stability.
I think there's some maturity and that comes along with it.
But the idea that you have to have that I
don't agree with that at all. I don't think you
have to because there's some folks that we know, some
of them names he named weren't happy family man. I'm
gonna leave it at that. You know they weren't. The
family situation wasn't the best. So sure, I absolutely have
(37:44):
been a strong believer in that. I think families definitely
grow you a great woman. A great family can grow you,
mature you and all of that good stuff, and absolutely
bring some stability to your life. But that doesn't mean
you're the face of the league only because of that,
or that's the only way you can become.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
And that's coming from a great player. And and just happened.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
He's young, he doesn't have a kid, married and you
didn't kids yet that doesn't mean you couldn't be all
They look at you and go, oh he's a bachelor,
but he's a fantastic player, but he's got to be married.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
Yeah, that doesn't make sense.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
I mean, because there's married, there's happy. There's people who
are not. They're married and ain't happy.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
So can you be a tramp and running the streets
and and doing all that stuff but you're married.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
I stopped there. I knew where this was going. H Yeah,
So I just I don't I don't buy that. I
think I think more so that can help with your
life more so than that is the requirement to be
a face of a league or a franchise.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
So what did he say? What was in the apology?
Real quick? Can you tell me I didn't see that
we ge the apology? Oh, I guess he just said it.
He's a man. Is my favorite player, one of my
favorite players. That was the apology.
Speaker 14 (38:47):
That was Yes, that was a tweet because I was
not taking a personal shot at you, but I could
see how it would have taken that way.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Okay, let me tell you who. Don't give a dang
aunt man, Anthony Edwards. Don't give a flying nothing with
Kirk had to say about that. Let me tell you,
and I told y'all part of why he doesn't want
to be the face of the league, Anthony Edwards. Part
of why he doesn't want to be the face of
the league because I want to live how I live
in these streets and not have to worry about you know,
(39:14):
who's judging me, who's saying what? And I think I
said that's a part of why he doesn't want you.
He doesn't want to have to be the perfect role model.
The perfect citizen with the perfect roleman, get to choose it.
Speaker 4 (39:24):
If you're if you're a really great player, you're going
to be the face of the league, whether you want.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
To or not.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
And it keeps being all, you know, a great player
and a great pitchmen. But he definitely liked them. Streets
