desk will keep us updated throughout the program. And Elijah
is our social media Google.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
There you go. Hey, it wouldn't be a show without Elijah,
right and that whole literally let's start here.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
We saw like you know they always say like a
tie is like kissing your sister. I think it's like
kissing your brother in the mouth like a tie. Nowadays
talk about anti climatic and not feeling good about watching
a forty to forty Sunday night football game and not
having a winner. But pray tell somebody did win that.

(06:42):
And you know people are like, oh terrible, die.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Jerry Jones.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
And the Dallas Cowboys are the window at the end
the win.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Now, that's what I got out of this because.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Micah came to town when his big bag Green Bay Packers.
The Dallas Cowboys were supposed to disintegrate and blowing the
wind and you know, never be seen again because my god,
they let Michaeh go. They traded this generational talent. What
are you gonna do without Michaeh? Great players have been
traded for since pro sports has been around.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
It's no big deal.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
The Red Sox olbebe ruth and they still have won
championships and they're still around and they still sell out
Fenway Park. Wayne Gretzky was traded. I could go on
and on and on. People have been moved and they
move on. Let's hear Jerry gloating a little bit after.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
The forty forty tie on Sunday Night Football.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
It's very simple, right, Dak was indispensable in my mind right,
and so yes, and Michael wasn't there. You go and Jerry,
I know a lot of people, you know, I'm not Look,
Jerry has watched the Cowboys. I'll be the first one.
I'm not a Jerry being general manager guy. They haven't

(08:04):
won anything since Moby Dick was a guppy and since
Jimmy Johnson and that whole what a disaster. But in
this case, with already paying the two guys he paid
CD and DAG, he had no choice here and he
made the right choice long term for the Cowboys, and
last night was a perfect Micah's back still ain't right right,

(08:25):
didn't really wasn't a real factor. He got a late sack.
I don't know, like, are you celebrating that? And in
his vaunted Packers came to Dallas and what happened nothing?
They got a forty to forty tied with a bad
football team. Nobody's expecting anything from I think Jerry is
the winner.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Well, first off, I'm gonna show you something about that
that sack you just referred to.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
I'm gonna show you that in one second. Uh to
Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Let me get to this. I hear everything you said.
I can understand it, but you're wrong. And I'm gonna
tell you why, Michael Parsons, everything you just said. Prior
to last season, what happened Dak was heard. Uh, you
got Micah heard, DeMarcus Lawrence was in and out. He
want no, no, no, But I'm saying they weren't theirselves
the last time we saw them comprised as themselves. They

(09:13):
were twelve and five, twelve and five, twelve and five.
And I looked at the Dallas Cowboys. We all expected
all things given, especially with CD. You go, man, this
offense should be good because if they haven't been anything else,
at least the offen has been able to move the ball.
Dak Prescott was an MVP candidate a couple of seasons back.
You figure, Okay, they can do this. I looked at
it as you can be that and still have Micah.

(09:35):
If they found a way to make it work right
that you didn't have to not have Micah. You and
I sat here months ago thinking, oh, he's gonna stay.
He wants to stay, he wants to I would say
he should have traded. I'm talking about well before that,
when he was out here talking about I just want
to be here forever. I don't care about the money. Now,
who slow down. If i'm your agent, hold on, let's
let's just let me let me agent, let me work

(09:57):
my magic. So you didn't They didn't have to be
without Michael. They could have found a way to do this.
And because the reason I say that, I look at
the the Green Bay Packers. I said this about what
Micah is. He's in a good situation where the Packers
made the postseason last year and the year before, and
the Packers are good team. He has a chance to

(10:17):
He got paid handsomely to only have to make three
to four plays a game, maybe a sack, maybe two sacks,
maybe a sack, strip fumble, or maybe attack of four loss.
You just need to come in here and be a
von Miller, you know, a JPP when he's gone to
a few places. These types of guys that are specialists,
they come in points one sack that No, no, I'm gonna

(10:41):
tell you why. Okay, he showed at the very end.
First of all, he got quadriple team all game. I
mean they but credit is that man? No, no, no,
I'm saying credit Dallas' game plan coming in because they
had chip people ready to chip him a receiver, a
back two offensive lineman. They had him locked up in
the sense and he got a couple of times four

(11:01):
quarterback pressures. But he got the big sack that saved
what could have been a loss. Dak Prescott that end
zone and the game they lost lost.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
The a forty point tie with the Dallas Cowboys is
a loss for the ball.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Well, no, they literally could have lost that game, which
would be huge in the record if you competing with
Detroit to see who's gonna do what That tie doesn't help.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Is running into the end zone.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
That's an except for Micah making a play that him
and only three four other guys in tire NFL could make.
So my thing is, Michael Parsons is in Green Bay
to only have to make a handful of plays. He
doesn't have to be a ray Lewis. They would have
fifteen tackles a sack.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
I think the way they paid him was not to
make one play because because it's more about and you
said the last time they were together, they were. Last
time they were together they won a playoff game in
Dallas and gave up a forty five piece to the
Green Bay Packers. Like he was on the field. You
could sit there and act like he was playing. He
played that game and he was a part of that.

(12:03):
And then when the season started they gave go look
it up. They gave up forty plus points in the
first three or four home games.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
He was on the field.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
He was a part of that. And I'm not saying
he's not a good player. I'm saying, you can move
on from people. It ain't the end of the world.
Everybody thinks it's the end of the world when you
move on from somebody. That's all I'm saying. Jerry got
his picks. He didn't have to go leverage the farm
with three players like they're gonna take up fifty percent
of the cap and then it's harder to put together

(12:32):
the rest of the team. So because he made a
mistake with Dak and CD, he almost had no choice,
and he finally did the right thing. We talk about
Jerry all the time. He always bends over backwards at
the end. This was the one time he didn't do it.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Only this is where we differ. Though.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
To me, I'm looking at it as look at what
you had plus what you could have had. If I
have all of this, plus I have Micah and he's
only what twenty six, we're only gonna get better. I'm
looking at it as what we could have had him
hopefully became twelve and five, twelve and twelve five, we're inching.
We're getting closer and closer. Maybe this that's why you
might be the year because they were getting closer. I

(13:08):
don't know who they are. They fired, they fired, saying
you're bringing shot. I'm saying no, but you just get
him at.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Twelve and five, twelve and twe five and the coach
got fired. Any But I'm saying, this is what they do.
I don't ever know who.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
They never fire somebody and bring in somebody where you go,
who look at that they fired people and then.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Bring in like, only one time can they hired Bill Parcels.
That was the only the only that was the one time,
and then they couldn't work because him and Jerry exactly.
And so the only time Jerry got a real coach,
real coach where you're like, I don't I'm not just
gonna list simply yes, sir, okay, whatever you say, and
they let that go.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
So to me, I just can't get rid of the
best player. And I haven't seen the draft. Picks might
not be good and I just be great. They could,
they could be great. I don't think they will per
se because you didn't get the hall you could have gotten.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
So that's my point, right, I ended with this.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
You could have got a bigger haul, you could have
re signed them, and now you have one of the
best defensive players in the game still with your team
who offensively looks really good, and you could have kept
one of the best defensers. And to me, you also
made a foe better in the Packers. So I just
don't see the win in this. I saw yesterday they won.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Jerry won. Bring out the stove, geme Celera. All right,
we didn't even win.

Speaker 1 (14:19):

Speaker 5 (16:24):
Talking about uh after we finally get to see the
Packers come in. The Dallas take on the Cowboys ended
at a tie that was very unceremoniously ended at the tie.
But who wanted to trade? What were you looking at?
What did you think of it? Eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox? He says Jerry Jones. I say, the
Packers and Micah still won eight seven seven ninety nine

(16:45):
on Fox.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
So we got.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Dion in Dallas. You're on the Odd Couple, Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Dion?

Speaker 8 (16:50):
Hey? What's up? Guys?

Speaker 9 (16:52):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (16:52):
Man? Last night just reminded me more of what we
saw from Michael Parsons into those big games. He just
didn't deliver. After losing to Cleveland. We expected them to
select us. I mean, yeah, I'm hearing the Metroplex and
we're like, man, we're gonna get beat bad and that
did not happen. We were more surprised at how comfortable
Dak was in the pocket. He wasn't supposed to be comfortable.

(17:13):
Just lost to Cleveland. Man, so you're supposed to come
out with some fire and some brimstone. And that's more
of the Michael Parsons that we're used to seeing here
in Dallas. So Jerry definitely won that one, and hopefully
with our draft picks we could replenish what we lost
in Parses. He's definitely a talent what we need to
get from God. I listen to your comments offline. Thanks God.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
No, we know that.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
It's not even about whether he's how great he is.
It's just that you can move on. It's just not like,
oh my god, this disguise fall. Let's go to Pete
in Connecticut. You're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Pete.

Speaker 9 (17:52):
The name's Keith.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Keith, Sorry about that.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
No, no Promena. You know, I've never been a coach.
I don't know a whole lot, but I know this
that when you're celebrating a tie as good as a win,
your team's in trouble. I mean I don't I don't
know of any No.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Keith, I just think that people. This is Keith. I
get it.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
But nobody expected Dallas to win. Okay, green Bay coming
off the loss. You know, the whole idea that they
were going to come in and this was gonna be
Micah's uh you know party, uh block party, and he
was going to do his thing, and they were going
to roll in and show how bad the cowboys were
and what a mistake it was.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
It just didn't turn out to be that night, Keith.

Speaker 9 (18:46):
Yeah, and and and you know, any given Sunday, right,
it can happen to anybody. We saw lots. I saw
lots of teams get beat yesterday.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Oh yeah, A bunch of it was definitely Keith. Where
are you in Connecticut? Where?

Speaker 9 (19:00):
I mean? I'm never an East wins here? Okay, yeah,
right on the Massachusetts border.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I got you, all right, my man, appreciate it. Sharing
to college in Connecticut. That's why I'm asking, Uh, let's
go to Vince in Las Vegas. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Vince?

Speaker 10 (19:18):
We're going, Okay, what's going on? Hey man, I'm doing good.
I want to give a real quick shout out.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
To my barber, Will Will. I know you're listening.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
He's the one that turned me on to you guys.
I heard about the show a long time ago, but
I was never really tuned in ever since he made
that recommendation that you guys are phenomenally entertainment gave us
to y'all. Thank you, especially you Rob with the nicknames
names if you give me these players, yeah, me dying a.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Vince, Thanks and thanks to your bos. We said his
name was Will. I might have to pull up on
him in Vegas.

Speaker 10 (19:48):
Yeah, pull up on my boy, Will favorable masters over
there on Decatur if you're in the Las Vegas.

Speaker 6 (19:53):
They got some real good guys over there.

Speaker 10 (19:56):
But real quick to answer y'all question, I think uh
has clearly won that trade because, like you said, Rob,
this is supposed to be a block party for Michael Parsons.
In the fact that Dallas should have won the game,
I think Green Bay got lucky just by they almost
mismanaged the time to get that.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
I don't know what that was. Yeah, yeah, Jordan Love
was tripping on that. Yeah, it happened to you.

Speaker 10 (20:20):
Jordan Love was bugging and mind you ceedee Lambon's on
the sideline.

Speaker 9 (20:24):
Just imagine if that brother.

Speaker 10 (20:25):
Was in the game. George Thinking was feasting and the
week before, you know, everybody wanted to kind of give
Green Bay the green like, oh, these guys are going
to represent the NFC coming out the NFC.

Speaker 8 (20:36):
I don't think so.

Speaker 6 (20:37):
I think it's too early to tell.

Speaker 9 (20:38):
And look now, looking at.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
It, go ahead and say Evince, go ahead and say
the Lions, Vince, go ahead.

Speaker 10 (20:43):
I'm just saying I'm just not coming home slacker. I
just think Detorge getting their little swagger back if you
know how they're playing. But if you're looking at I
think Jerry's kind of looking like the genius.

Speaker 9 (20:56):
I mean they tied, yeah, in it in a.

Speaker 10 (20:58):
Tie, but it's more of a win. Doubts.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
What is this the Hodd Couple show? Elijah? Did I
hop on another show? What is this new Wins and
Losses on the Minute? When did ties get on the
menu that's on the the bow type pasta? No, I
don't know who I'm dealing with now, I'm not this
ain't let me start the show over saying this ain't
the hot cover to celebrating time.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Tie is like the special when you get to the restaurant.
You know what I mean, it's a special that they
have and you know what about specials most of the
time those specials.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
When that meat going bad, hurry up making special, get
this bad meat out of here.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
They're over here celebrating ties and and Vince. I love
you and your barber. But oh, Jerry looking like a genius.
What Thomas? And uh, whereas I can't see it?

Speaker 1 (21:44):
And special Omaha Thomas Special state to the Omaha Steaks.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
That's right, what's up Toms for you? I was doing
all right, So y'all start going crazy around here? Thomas,
I mean, where are you? Thomas? What's up?

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (22:01):
Hey, thanks for taking my call. I really love your show.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Guys, so thank you, Thank you man. We appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
And every time you say it it means a lot
because this has been on for a long time, the
show fifty five years.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
Yes, I've listened to you Rob ever since you've been
been on the show, ever since you started. So Kelvin
has been a great addition for Chris. I didn't expect
him to. I didn't expect it, so I.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Just hold on, Hey, Hey, too much expected. I ain't expected.
Hold on now, Thomas, I'm all right, hey, And you
don't know his first name. He's doubting Thomas. He doubted
that you were going to be.

Speaker 6 (22:43):
Five there you good if you're if you're talking about
was the Micah Winner or or Jerry Doones. Are you
talking about? Is is it between the Packers and the Cowboys?

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Uh? Yeah, I'm just talking about like the idea that
that the Cowboys didn't fall off to the side and
they're going to go one in fifteen one and sixteen,
you know what I mean, like like like they're just
the season's over, Like no, it's not.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
And I and I think that, in my opinion, I
thought they should have traded him like last year, you
know what I mean, like.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
What I realized you're not going to sign them. They
should have.

Speaker 6 (23:22):
Right, right, they should have traded him. I don't think
the question is whether I didn't think I didn't hear
people having a big problem with him being traded because
because they I think that they could have given him
a haul, a much better a much better uh situation
for them. I think I think that the thing about
it is they're not a Mica away from a championship.

(23:44):
If Michael was there, there's not going any further. Michael.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
They had him right and they couldn't and they couldn't
get I think Yeah, I think that they.

Speaker 6 (23:52):
I think that if they would have gotten gotten more
for him, I think that they just just like Jerry
Jose has been doing, he did it too.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, we talked about that with the signings of the
other guys. Thanks for the call.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
We appreciating. All right, we're up against the shots. Everybody
for the calls. We appreciated. We got to talk about
something that did happen in that game and ain't sitting
right with a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
We'll do that.

Speaker 2 (24:14):

(24:51):
rule some years ago rob to ties being able to
happen in the NFL again, you know the way the
overtime rules. First team score touchdown, you win. You kick
a field goal out, the team has a chance to
kick a field goal match, you will win.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
But we didn't go on that.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
I never understood why first team that scored should just
win and sudden deaths, and only because you can score defensively.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
It's different like baseball.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I can't score any runs if I don't come up
to bat, so it can't be if the first team
gets up and they get a run the games, you
know what I mean, I gotta get my bat right, Okay,
so that part I get. But in the NFL, as
I saw many times, Matthew Stafford throw a pick you
know what I mean, and they run it back the
other way, you can win the game defensively, So do

(25:39):
you really need to have the ball once each What
they have here now is ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
I actually believe it or not.

Speaker 5 (25:47):
And with you, I used to always say, as much
as I hate it, Right, the other team gets a
nice kickoff return to say to thirty five, they only need,
you know, twenty twenty five yards. They can kick a
long field. Go on, your team can lose it as alliance,
I've seen many a games. I was lost like that,
But I've always thought stop them right, stop them. Part
of a part of the NFL is defense and offense.

(26:10):
Get a stop, get a three and out. You know,
maybe they pick up one first down, but don't let
them get another one. But then they changed the rule. Okay, fine,
they changed the rule. But I will say this, well,
everybody walked away unsatisfied. It was like being in high
school of college and you just a whole lot of
you know, reven around and loving up on each other.
But you know that that's how the night ended. You know,
maybe left a little frustrated. But I say this, believe

(26:34):
it or not, I'm actually okay with the time. The
reason I say that is you can't look me last night.
You thought that it was unsatisfied with the game because
it was a great offensive game. But the principle of it, yo,
y'all got ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
What more do you want?

Speaker 5 (26:50):
We try to wink wink, be under the guys of safety.
I'm gonna tell you we're being under the guys of safety.
That had to been another potential ten minutes and then
now it's twenty minutes, and now guys playing essentially another
whole twenty minutes a game, another quarter, a quarter and
a half. And I just think they got there trying
to draw the line somewhere and say, all right, this
is one game, you both ties, not a loss. You
still got you know, several more, got seventeen total, get

(27:13):
the job done then, because they're trying to, at least
in somewhere act like they care about safety of the players.
And if we got y'all out here competing till one
of y'all win and it goes another three four overtimes,
like that could be really really bad. So I think
they're saying, y'all got ten minutes, get the job done.
Somebody win this game. And the Packers was just moving

(27:33):
on methodically and slow, like I'm like, ah, Packers, while
cha got out here, try to win this thing. And
they was like they just resigned to the fact that
maybe we're just kick a field goal. They weren't trying
to score. So here's my issue. One of the greatest
games in the history of the NFL was a triple
overtime game in nineteen eighty two.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
The AFC Divisional playoff game between the Chargers and the Dolphins.
It was just it was unbelievable and it ended forty
one thirty eight. But it was triple overtime in the offs,
a playoff game. No, no, no, But I'm just saying it.
But I'm saying we playoff, we gotta finish, but.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
I got to move on.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I'm saying that that we need a result. We talk
about it all the time, wins and losses, ties or
not on the menu. At least people unfulfilled. People last
night turned off Sunday night in America football whatever Sunday
Night football felt like that. Nobody need a cigarette? What
would there was no cigaal cigarettes, nothing need not a cigarette?

(28:34):
Insight and no baby, what's the nigga tee?

Speaker 3 (28:37):
The patch? Everybody had the patch after the lies, everybody
just let me put on patch on. I'm so unsatisfied.
I don't disagree. I told you I left together. Oh
I left, you know, I turned the only people were
bummed out, Like dude, it was bad. But but I'm
looking at it. What I'm saying. The NFL does nothing
but change rules every year. How do they get this
one wrong?

Speaker 1 (28:56):
This kickoff like this is like, it's like they changed
the rules all the time, and I'm saying this is
this is wrong.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
It's just like baseball.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Okay, they don't want over regular extra innings during the
regular seat and put a man on second bay.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
You know they don't do that in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Because people would have a harder attack if somebody lost
and they put a man on second base and nobody
get to hit in the in the tenth inning, right, uh,
sacrifice bot move them over and the ground and a
fly ball to center field.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
The game's over.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
People would be are you kidding? Ain't no way my
playoff team is losing like they just lost. This is
just I'm telling you this is the NFL was trying
their best to say, hey man, this is us caring
about players, and so they made the rule and most
teams come.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Get it done. They get it done, and they go
score and the team went. I blame the Packers for this.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
If if Jordan loved acts like he loved to win
in the regulation or loved to win in overtime, we
wouldn't be having this. They all just taking the time
like they it was like they played for a field
goal and I don't know what they were doing at
the end, like they wanted to lose the game just
through the ball man. The NFL was like, hold that
one second a little bit longer so we can get it,
you know, get a feel goal, because ain't no way

(30:08):
we went the game to end that unsatisfying them just
going a random pass in the end zone. We're trying
to save seconds and they almost use up all the seconds.
Matt Lafleur and Jordan Love over thinking this thing.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
What the heck was that?

Speaker 5 (30:20):
But yeah, I ain't gonna lie. I didn't need a cigarette.
I didn't need a cigar nothing. I just need a
black and Mile.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
But come on, forty four? Just it was depressing. It
was that, like a downer, like what that's it?

Speaker 5 (30:33):
Blame Micah too, it was bad. He had a nerd
to come around that corner and get that sack. By
the way, thank you for that. Micah told you about that.
You go look it, Yeah, come loot. I get a
little loot for that.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Appreciate you, Mat. So was that the Jets fumbling at
the This is about this. This is the toilet bowl.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
I used to play in a basketball tournament called the
Gus Maker anybody else playing the gusmaker and when you
lose a.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Game, you would go to the toilet bowl?

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Who was that.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
Brailing?

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Okay, so is he gonna be cut after the game,
because you know like this is he Aaron Glenn just
had to talk with him.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Hey uh, but but the other kid who fumbled, you
know for game one? You don't stop sticking up for
six string No people, I.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Just don't like the notion is you can't do that
like like to me, it doesn't send You haven't sent
a message to anybody about taking care of the ball
or anything.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
When you when you cut a six string guy.

Speaker 5 (31:24):
Don't you want him to go to Derrick Henry? Hey man,
you got fumble lighties right now, Dereck cam you got
to get on the p out of here.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
I'm just saying, Terrry hey, if you want to make it,
if you want to make a point, and you got
to do.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Somebody big, that's why. But let me tell you who
he's not fired.

goal on fourth to three with thirty two seconds.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
To go in the game. The Bears blocked the kick.

Speaker 11 (32:38):
It might be Josh Blackwell, gotta see the replay to
make sure, but the Bears are celebrating. They are gonna
sneak out of Allegiate Stadium for a twenty.

Speaker 5 (32:47):

daily Dix against the Sprat.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
How you oh alight? Did I knew that? I did?
I knew that? Well did? What did you do? Did
I do that? I knew that?

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Three and O I remember how the three? Yeah h Parker?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
And oh so now we're up to twenty six and
twenty five is so good today?

Speaker 3 (34:01):
I sure did? Thank you? So I guess somebody did
need a cigarette? Yes I did?

Speaker 1 (34:05):
For that twenty six and twenty five now is the
big board, and we only got the one game tonight,
which is the second game of the NFL doubleheader.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
I'm gonna take the Bengal.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
I mean the Broncos minus seven and a half at
home against the Bengals, So Broncos minus seven and a half.
But it is for that I'm gonna do it this time.
I'm gonna take that one. And that's all we have
for tonight, all right, because we got no baseball until
tobrow playoffs and all that, and that's where we're going
from here. We're gonna do a little baseball, all right,

(34:36):
whatever you have it. I remember, I'm not telling you
who to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
All right, there you have a Shekel city. And now, man,
let's do this.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
We got finally the playoffs are set, we know. Let
me pull up my bracket here. We got it all
set in order. Wild last couple of weeks in baseball,
A bunch of teams that we thought were gonna be
good then started flying to her towards the end. And
some teams made or a run at it towards the end,
including the Guardians, and it was just a crazy, wacky
baseball season. And you and I discussed and talked about

(35:07):
and now who we already saw setting any before we
kind of get into any storyline. You looked at the
most is it just the Tigers, and that the Tigers
are messer, But.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
The Tigers in the mess I mean the Mets obviously
not making the playoffs with the second highest payroll behind
the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
You can't do that.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
You can't add one Soto. Last year they were in
the NLCUS with the Dodgers in six games and loss
had a chance to go to the World Series. You
get Wan Soto, you win that sweep stakes over the Yankees,
and you don't even make the playoffs the next year.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Pitching some issues. The Tigers can't give up the Divengon
like they did fifteen and a half game. They're lucky
to get in. They were lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky to
make it in. So those are the two things. And
you saw a couple of managers got fired. AJ Hinch
with the Tigers had they not made the playoffs, I
could have fired him blowing a fifteen and a half

(35:59):
point because.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
I'm I mean, that's not crazy. I don't think they
would have. But it's not crazy.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Yeah, I mean I just think if you can't get
fired off of that, what what what would be the
what would be the reason for you to be fired
if you can't get fired from that?

Speaker 3 (36:09):
So anyway, that was that was bad, but they were
able to salvage and get it all. Right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
We got so much truck. Let's get our World series picks.
So tomorrow Wildcar gets going. Yeah, oh all right, where
do you want to start? How you want to start?
Just just your World series pick? And tell me the
two teams that still not gonna go through all the series?
What I was gonna say, you want to do your
Ale team first?

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Yeah? Team?

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah, we got This was difficult because the Homer and
me wanted to say the Tigers.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
Of course, we'll find a way to bounce back. But
you just you can't lose that. I can't even listen.
Let me look ato YouTube, put the camera on me, Detroit.
I'm sorry, Okay, you just can't lose that.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Meaning. Oh man, they stumbled.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
They eight of the last twelve, okay, and what it
was like a month and a half of bad baseball
and by the hair on my Chinny chin chin They
got any and n so unfortunately I can't give it them.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
You know, I gotta go it.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
I would love for it to be Dodgers and Yankees again,
but I'm going with the Mariners. I'm going with the Mariners.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Right now.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
I don't feel confident because none of these teams really
in baseball. We talked about how open it is this year.
None of them make me feel confident. This isn't anything
walking in. If you want to go, hell, you want
to go, let me give you my other team. No, no,
you got so you got the mar I got the Mariners,
and I got the Dodgers, And I'm gonna tell you why.
I believe the Dodgers' bats will come alive. I believe
the darteris stodter. Starters have been pitching very well, Fluky

(37:33):
random things have happened at the end of bullpens, and
amazing games have been null and void at the end.
I don't think that happens. I think they have the
star power. I think they're ready to go, and I'm
the Dodgers are locked in. They'll settle down. Dodgers, Mariners,
and you know who wins it all?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Right?

Speaker 5 (37:48):
Now?

Speaker 3 (37:49):
You are being a homer. That's okay, there's not a homer.
You roll.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
They're doing it for curse, like the Lakers did it
for the late great Bean Kobe ban Bryant. They got
a thing they can put right here on their on
their in the dugout and the clubhouse.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
They gave a picture of Kurt. Were doing it for
kursh You know how many times they've done that. Oh yeah,
the New Orleans Saints don't come back in the parent tank.
Contri don't happened. I'm just saying, Oh, the Yankees gonna
win because of nine to eleven. They didn't win Arizona.
All right, Anyway, I'm going to go in the America League.
I'm going with the New York Yankees because of their bullpen.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Here we go, here, We're gonna shot.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
It's Cody out on the limb, Steve wait, you out
on a limb here?

Speaker 12 (38:38):
No, my pick, freaking news, my pick before the season started.
It's on a MLB network. I don't give a day.
Was a Dodger too, So we just rolling with it.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
I picked the Yankees and the Padres, and I'm gonna
stick with my pick.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
WHOA, I don't like the Dodgers Bullpen. I don't. I'll
talk to you in about what about a month month there,
I'm gonna go with the the Yankees and the brackets.
