He said, we'll do it later. B well, just play
the tape. They said, no, do it live. He said,
do it live. Man speaking of lie Okay, Rob t
with the behind the back.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
And let me say this, one of the coolest things
ever is John Tesh who wrote that and all that
he was at a party.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
I don't know if you've ever seen it.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
And they talked about how he was at a party
and that tune came in his head. He called his
answermanship machine and left it because you know, sometimes you
get an idea and you could easily forget it. I
used to write stuff down. I used to wake up
in the middle of the night, write down a lead
for a column or a story, idea, whatever.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Could you wake up and you totally forget. And so
he played the tape.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
What he was, you know, came up with and left
on his voicemail and it turned into an iconic tune
that NBC bought and and they're bringing back and the
whole nine yards and John test used to be on
Entertainment Tonight He was a news reporter at w CBS
TV in New York, Channel two, where I grew up
watching him as a news reporter.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
What if his girlfriend or his wife went home like
that's voicemail or a message and deleted it.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, I know all about that.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Back when I used to make beat son used to
believe myself those messages that would.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Have been intrupt She would have been in trouble, right,
man would like okay, wait.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Then she just got home like erased?
Speaker 4 (04:44):

Of course, we have a World Series match up the

Speaker 2 (05:55):
We'll get to that.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
You know, all kinds of stuff, NFL, all this stuff
with Woody Johnson.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
You saw the quotes he was.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
I mean, come on, man, like sometime you're better off
not saying anything.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
But that's what happens when you millionaire billionaires. You just like,
let me just say whatever I was on my mind exactly.
That's not gonna help the team. I'm still gonna say.
It don't matter.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
But all right, let's go with the NBA to get started.
And I'll tell you this. I wist spin my coffee.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Y'all.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Don't do that.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Hey, you should have saw me today at Laker at
Crypto dot com is going crazy half court shots.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I'm going crazy.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
I'm sorry again, you know, I understand you got to
do that for the company, and way the company.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
That was me talking about I'm hitting buckets now, don't
given that could have been the Clippers up And did
you get in Nucks?
Speaker 2 (06:43):
What they just walked in? Well, I mean they know,
I know. Okay, that's what I'm saying. It's like you,
you know, you walking some ballparks. No, I don't be
walking into once you do. They got the hot dogs
already waiting for you. Rob, you're Glizzie all right? All right,
Well I'm gonna tell you that.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
I know there's a lot out of anticipation and NBA
season and people want to I just saw like a
video put out by Madison Square Guard and the Knicks
channel or whatever station, and of course, uh the three
people on there all picked the next go to the finals.
And I'm of course they did, of course, you know,
and I and and I get it, like they work
(07:21):
for them. They what choice do you have?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I get it.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I just I just think it's disingenuous listen, because they
do whatever.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
You know what I mean, like like I couldn't do that.
I told you.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
No, but I worked for the I'm not if I
picked them, but that would have been a legitimate pick.
And I always say that because wd I v Local
four Detroit. Let me go on and not pick the
Tigers to open the newscast in Detroit. So I have
the utmost respect for those people who were in charge there.
But anyway, let's go here. I'm convinced, what are you
(07:56):
convinced that one of the storylines that a lot of
people are excited about will not come to fruition, will
be a spectacular disaster, will not happen, and will be
a fail netlace. That's Kevin Durant and the whole era
in Houston and that they're going to the finals and
he's the missing piece and they had the young pieces,
(08:18):
they have the.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Coach and all that other stuff.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
I think the West is extremely tough Number one, Number two,
I don't know if his showing up in Houston changes
there not dynamics of the young team and what they
had going because he's such a great player and there's
no way that you keep playing the same way when
(08:43):
you add him to the mix. And then number three
is we've seen this guy get hurt without contact. I
don't know if we can trust him to stay healthy
for an entire season. And lastly, this will be the
third stop where he's trained derailed. This is just who
(09:05):
he is and the idea that he's a vagabon and
he's just gonna go to team to team Like Seriously,
Kevin Durant has been on so many teams that there
isn't really a team that you should like erect the
statue or have them attached to like, he's been to
too many teams. And I'm saying the last two stops brutal,
(09:30):
the wonder in Phoenix where everybody was ready to crown them,
Oh my.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
God, who are you gonna stop?
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Devin Booker and KD and this and that disaster did
not work out, and unfortunately, I believe it will not
happen in Houston as well.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Like Charlie Murphy said when he was doing this sketch
on Dave Chapelzil, wrong, wrong. Let me tell you why
you're wrong. You listed two to three reasons why it's
going to work. So number one, when you start to
look at the statistics for the Houston Rockets and what
they did bad or what they did good, let's start
with the shooting. The main reason why they struggled against
(10:07):
teams was offensively, they didn't have a go to bucket getter,
and they also struggled from three. They're near the bottom
of the league in the three point shooting, they're near
the bottom of the league.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
In free throw shooting, the bottom shooting.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Now, yeah, one of the greatest ever fifty ninety forty
pretty much every year. And in field goal percentage they
were all so low as well, and clutch three point
percentage they were only twenty four percent, so they're very low.
When you needed a bucket, you needed a shot, you
needed to knock down free throws, you literally bring in
the best guy aside from maybe Steven. He might even
even better when you come to the mid range as
(10:37):
far as getting me a shot. Whether it be mid range,
three pointers, free throws, it doesn't matter. So you bring
that guy in a seven foot walking bucket. So that's
where I disagree. It's a perfect fit. You brought up Phoenix.
Let me tell you why Phoenix was a horrible fit,
because Phoenix Will had the same guy. Bradley Beal doesn't
do much unless he's got the ball in his hand.
Devin Booker quality player as far as what he can
(11:00):
distribute the ball a little bit, but he failed before
Bradley Beal got it, but right before he because to you.
Then my other point coming up. They had three guys
who all need the ball to score, and they couldn't
do much. Not great assistment. They're not great k doc
down Defender's not gonna say hey Toana, I'm gonna get
twelve points to get twelve rebounds. That's just not what
they did. Houston has that they got guys who all
want to do is play defense. They got guys who
(11:21):
all I want to do is is muck up the game,
play hard. Other guys who want to drive the basket.
So it's actually a much better fit. The reason why
when they had Devin Book and Kevin Durant it didn't work.
They didn't have any depth. They gave up all their
depth to acquire Kevin Durant.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Houston.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
That's what they have so much so that they might
be able to sustain. This is the hardest part for
them to me. They lose Fred vlan Viet. Fred van
Vliet easy to know, Rightvan excuse me? Fred van Vliet
is a big time loss because of veteran presence, big shoot,
shot maker and just that kind of guy.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Who calmed the offense. Losing him is big. I'll give
you that.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
The only point you made that I will concede and
give you is Kevin Durant's health. Over the last five
six years, he has been known to miss a game,
miss half, you know, missing some parts of a season,
miss a third of season.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Oh you act like you poo pulling that. You know
I'm with you on it.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
So I'm saying that part there is an issue your
concerned with that, I'll give you that. But as far
as just quality of the player fit, to me, it's
it's perfect fit. The guy they need they got. I'm
in Thims, who's gonna be probably an All Star this
year or next. You got sham Goon, who's one of
the better post bigs down low. Have you looked at
the division, the Western Conference or the conference is? I
(12:32):
told you so, you have them. You got the Rockets
going to the final. I got to think I have
I'm not quite there yet to see what's what. But
now I'm saying I fully expect them to be a good,
very good team and hard to beat.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
That's not but that's not why they brought him on.
And that's why you miss my point.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
My point is you don't bring Kevin Durant to your
team to be a good team and to be in
the mix.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
They were in the mix last year, right fairy.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Bring Kevin Durant to win, to go to the NBA finals,
And that's what I'm saying, and it's not gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
That's why you bring in a Durant and you bring
him to get over the hub.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
I can give you a Western Conference finals, I can't
give you finals.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
I gotta I gotta see everything losing for Van Vliet.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
If he was still there, I would feel much more
comfortable saying they have a great chance to go to finals. Ultimately,
we might be looking at a team that's gonna go
to the finals right now on our TV again, by
the way, all right, eight seven sevens repeating this thing.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Ninety nine on Fox, He'll take the easy way out
eight seven seven nine six sixty three sixty.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
How many do the thunder a great?
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Will Kevin? Will the Kevin Durant era be a success
in Houston? Real simple? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
I'm sure the internet's well Internet, we'll hear about it.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Jeremy Long Beach, California. You're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Jeremy?
Speaker 6 (16:28):
What's up? Rob?
Speaker 5 (16:29):
What's up? Kelvin? How y'all doing?
Speaker 2 (16:31):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (16:33):
I'm doing well.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
I'm doing well, man.
Speaker 8 (16:35):
I called in a couple of weeks ago, but I
was playing the background and YouTube at the same time,
and you guys heard it. It was like your celebration
for the college and everything, and I was like, oh, dang,
I have two things playing at once.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
I hearned out your radio.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
That's right, Yeah, we got got it lowering down.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
But I'm gonna have to agree with Rob on this
on the West is just two stacked man. I did
not see the Rockets getting there. You got Denver, you
got the Thunder to defend in tail, and you know
you got my Mavericks as well. I'm a Mavericks fan,
and I just don't see it. Man, with Kevin Durant's injuries.
Speaker 8 (17:13):
And all the other players, all the other teams that
are stacked in the West, it's just gonna be a gauntlet.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Man, Jeremy, Jeremy, you brought up injuries.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Don't bring up injuries and didn't bring up the Mavericks ad.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Don't bring up man.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
But KD gets hurt a lot. I mean Kyrie ky
I know he does. That's my point. A D.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
You know, a D. You know what's gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
Hey, a D?
Speaker 8 (17:38):
Kyrie a D at all?
Speaker 5 (17:40):
Ryme?
Speaker 2 (17:40):
They do all of them all right. Appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Reese in Lexington, Kentucky. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
What's up, Reese?
Speaker 5 (17:50):
What's up? Guys? I'm talking to y'all.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yes, how are you? Body? To you as well?
Speaker 9 (17:55):
Good man? So injury is a sign I think Houston,
I mean regardless they go to the finals on you
know it is a Shaq West. But their coach he's
gonna win. He knows how to put a team together defensively.
You know, if the draft stays healthy, I think you
know they will be a contender. You know they got
some young talent. Keep an eye on Reed Shephard. I
(18:18):
promise guys, this guy's a baller man and he I
think he's a future All Star.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Okay, Reece, we got that very nice. Just a question.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Okay, when you go get Kevin Durant, who's forty nine
and playing in the league for thirty five years, Okay,
are you just want to be a contender or did
you go get him to be the missing piece to
get you to the finals?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Which one is it?
Speaker 5 (18:40):
I'm not understand that.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
I mean, at his age, you know, hopefully you know
Houston is not as dry as Phoenix. That might help
his skin condition a little bit better.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Hey, hey, rees is called lotion from the ninety nine
said store.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
That's listen, when you're obsessed with ball and you don't
care about losh.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
It's a little moist more moisture in Houston, So maybe
that would help him.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Yeah, yeah, that wasn't on my being go card. We
talking about that man moisturization.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
I am that was I'm all into being moist.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
I just want you to do And unfortunately that guy
I gotta sit next to you. What no, Hey, he's
right about it. And I dude, bring a brush through
my hair every so often too. I'm just saying I
don't know. I actually I think I do think there's
a level of Katie is trolling us at this point
with that specifically. Nah, yeah, that ain't true. I'm seeing
you'll think he's like me and like y'all got to
(19:36):
issue with it. I just don't even care. He ain't
lying about Reeed Shepherd though. Ree Shepherd. It's gonna be
a chance for him with Frev Van Vliet being now
this is there, He's probably gonna be the guy that
picks up another fifteen to twenty minutes a game. So
this is one of his chants, shine, time to shine.
He's a high draft pick. This is his time to shine. Eco.
I like him too, man, He's he's a really good
coach as well. All Right, we got Ethral Salim on
(19:56):
the other side, getting ready to get talk some football
headlines with him and some hoop from Loves Basketball as well.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Now, Steve, Sega're gonna get you settle with trending.
Speaker 3 (20:03):

Speaker 1 (20:16):
All right, Steve, Steve excited to NBA is back. Thank you, Steve.
It's the I coover. Rod Parker covin Washington on a
trash talking Tuesday, about an hour and ten fifteen minutes
away from that, looking forward to it. Right now, we
are joined by our man E F from celon former
NFL offensive linement, Fox Sports Radio Weekends.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
E from Salon on X Big E.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
What up? Bro? What's having the brothers? How y'all doing
doing good? Man?
Speaker 2 (20:39):
We're excited.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
We got for football, we got the World Series getting
ready to jump off Friday, and today the NBA is back,
so a whole lot to get to.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Man as always.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
Good good time for sports.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
I can tell you that absolutely.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
I guess before we get to the NFL stuff. Maybe
NBA is kicking off today. Rob and I just talked
about the Rockets. I'm higher on them than he is
with Kevin Durant. Where are you with them?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
And then the.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Only reason I'm not high on them is when you
go get Kevin Durant is to get you to the
NBA finals or to win it. Anything less than that
than you failed. There's no other reason. He's not like
a young guy you're gonna build around for years to come.
That's my and I look at the West Ephrom I
just don't see it.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
And you look, as much as it pains me to
say this, Rob, you you hit on some excellent points
when you talk about Kevin Durant and his age and
now remember when he went to Brooklyn and they were
supposed to do this thing and then he goes It
just becomes part of the story. Now, right now, the
(21:45):
Rockets are a young, up and coming team. Does KD
put them over the top. I don't know, because the
only time we've seen KD come in and help a team,
the team was already good. The team had won seventy
three games the year prior uh and lost in the
finals after winning a couple of championships. And that's the
Golden State Warriors. So other than that, has KD ever
(22:07):
gone to a team and made them instantly viable or
they got they got to the NBA finals, And I
don't see it, being a year older it happening for
Rockets now. I think they'll make some noise.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
I think I'm with you, they'll be good.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
They'll be good, But I don't see, I don't I
don't know if they have enough to compete for a championship.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
I think real Quick to Play was gonna be. You
make you brought up the Brooklyn Nets and the Sons.
I think those teams are older and they were loaded
with the same guy over and over, whereas this team
has crazy death. They got post games with shanguon, they
got a men Tom and Thompson's probably and uh, they
just got a bunch of dudes and a great coach,
and he to me a perfect fit. So I totally
hear what you're saying, but I think they'll This is
(22:51):
a completely different scenario than the other example.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah, but not in.
Speaker 5 (22:55):
Yeah. Right, he's older, so we have to take in account.
As great as he is and as great as as
older players are, they're still older, more susceptible to injury.
It just looks different now.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
No doubt.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
I want to get to the NFL CJ. Stroud a
couple of years ago. He was the catch me out.
Everybody picked him to go to the Super Bowl the
year after his first year, and where he was even
last night?
Speaker 2 (23:24):
They get four turnovers, can't win. Uh, they scored a lot.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Of points against that Ravens defense, but they struggled everybody. Yeah,
everybody in that situation. But what where's he now? What
have they let him down? Is it the offensive line.
Is it the personnel around him? Is it coaching? What's happened?
Speaker 5 (23:43):
Yeah, I was gonna say it's not him. It's that
first of all, as a former Houston Texan and a
member of the offensive line there, it is hard to watch.
My wife we were watching the game last night and
she was like, oh, what is he doing? Like she's
so well versed on offensive line plays. Being with me
my you know, majority of my career, she can see
(24:05):
it as well. It is bad. It's bad offensive line
play when you look and they blitz and yours I
can see, I know the protections. I can see exactly
what's going on. And you have three offensive linemen blocking
one defensive uh tackle and the line Mike linebacker straps
through and annihilates the quarterback. And it just happened to
(24:26):
be on that pick like that. Things like that, it's
not him. He's trying to do everything he can to
get the ball down the field, but as soon as
the ball is snapped, there's pressure in his face, like
it is. I feel sorry for him. They have to
clean that offensive lineup. They have to. It'll just be
another talented quarterback who can't finish the season because he's
(24:50):
getting hit too much.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Yeah, I mean, they're definitely letting him down. And then
he's regressing because of that. He's starting to get Jory,
he's freaking out, he's panicking.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Because of that. And you see that from game the game.
Let me go here.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
The other side of that was the Seahawks, and here
they are many one of the top teams in the NFL,
specifically the NFC. The defense, I mean, not leadsing the boom.
But they look really good. And Sam Donald obviously we
knew they took a chance that got rid of Gino
who had had some success there and brought him in.
He's looked great for them. Talk are they a real
legitimate team? How just your what you make of them now?
Speaker 5 (25:24):
With Sam Donald, I think they are legitimate team. Like
Sam Donald, Madson throws last night that maybe two people
on the planet Earth to make and when you when
you see him getting in his rhythm like that and
feeling comfortable and extending plays. We got him outside of
the pocket making plays down the field that we hadn't
really seen him do before. And Jackson Smith and jigbu
(25:46):
Is brother. Look here, man, it's a couple of young
receivers in the league him and on the other side
to make a.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Yeah, guys, blick neighbors. When he's healthy, arch man.
Speaker 5 (25:57):
Like, these guys are carrying a torch for them, his
next crop coming through. They are phenomenal. But Sam Donald, hey, look,
he's bought a house there for the first time in
his NFL career. He feels supported, he feel loved. He
feels loved, and sometimes that's all you need is love, man,
that's all you need.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I don't know how I feel love.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
They gave him a bogus contract where only really one year.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Is what I'm just saying. But they only gave it
was only one.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Year that was fully guaranteed as a contract, especially considering
the year that he was coming off of.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
It perfect for him because now you really get the
reup at a higher market price right.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Until he's the better in the postseason.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Don't do that, don't.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
I'm just I'm just saying if he if he wants
to bet the postseason, he won't be getting the contract.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Hey, let's go here.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
The Jets owner came out, Woody Johnson, And if you're like,
like seriously, like Justin Fields has enough issues, Okay, Well,
Woody Johnson says, quote, if we could just plead a pass,
it would look good.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
And the end quart like what has happened here?
Speaker 4 (27:06):
We already know how bad the Jets are, But Justin
Fields they gave this guy thirty million guaranteed. Daniel Jones
only got a one year, fourteen million dollar deal, right,
And everybody loves Justin's athleticism and all that kind of
stuff and looks at other stuff. But I think it's
pretty obvious now right he's been benched. He's not going
(27:27):
to be the quarterback. What do you make of the Jets?
And what's happened to Justin Fields? Three teams in three years,
started four and two with the Steelers they didn't want them.
He goes to the Jets, he's going to be the quarterback,
and now he's already benched.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
The thing that I've always been hyper critical about with
Justin Fields is he's not reading the defense fast enough
and getting the ball. He's afraid to throw the ball
on anticipation. He's waiting for receivers to come clear or
get out of or come completely out of their breaks
before he releases the ball. And everybody knows in the NFL,
(28:04):
passing the ball down the field As a timing thing,
you have to have trust in yourself, your eyes, and
your receiver to be able to let the ball go.
So when they come out of their break and that
head comes around, the ball is there. He waits in,
which causes throws to be late, which interception. All of
those his timing for down the field passing has always
(28:27):
been something that he's needed to work on and they
haven't found a way to fix that situation. So until
that can happen, that he can't be a viable quarterback,
starting quarterback in the NFL. It just doesn't work.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Like that, right, I want to ask him, and I
know we're going to get into this bigger about Sean
Payton taking a swipe at Russell Wilson.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Russell Wilson, Who's who's not there?
Speaker 4 (28:51):
You know, not there anymore? Why he continues to do this?
And and I'll give you know Wilson credit who basically
you know, there's but so much you can take, call
him class list And then brought up bounty Gate, which
Sean Payton was suspended for what not sound what what
do you what do you make of that? Just does
Sean Payton taking a swipe at Russell Wilson.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
Well, Petty is Petty, right, he is, and it shouldn't
have happened. It was a hell of a game. It was,
you know, back and forth Jack. I think Jack and
Dark's gonna be a phenomenal quarterback. But Sean Payton has
robbed people the wrong way before. He's very you know,
(29:35):
old school and in his approach. I actually know Sean.
He was a coach of mine at San Diego State
when I was at San Diego State. So he's very fiery.
He's gonna tell you what's on his mind, and he
has a specific way he likes to do things. But
for me, I didn't think that that that comment was warranted,
especially in the tone in the way it was said.
(29:57):
It was kind of like, don't kick somebody when they're
we're putting there presumably down there. There is no winning in.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
That, no doubt, get you out of here on this one.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
For me, we got a game coming up this week
Packers Stealers and two teams which I think record wise
are both solid. But I still think for me and
maybe some other people just I don't quite know what
they are yet, this will be a game where we
can see a little bit more from from either team,
or maybe both teams. But Packers Steelers, what do you
make of both of them where they are right now?
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Well, I'll tell you what their their defenses. The Steelers
defense gotta play a whole lot better. They got to
play a whole lot better. Big Cam Hayward and and
tj uh T J Watt and TJ. Watt like. They
have got to find a way to get pressure on
the quarterback and alleviate the pressure from an aging secondary
(30:51):
outside of Joey Porter Jr. They just the Steelers have
been great when they can put pressure on quarterbacks. They
have to do that. The offense is playing you know, well,
Aaron Rodgers is doing a yeoman's job with that offense.
And on the flip side, Green Bay, look Michael Parsons,
he showed out this last game. Finally he's getting warmed up.
(31:14):
And if you if they can't control that young man,
he's a game wrecker offensively green Bay. I'm not quite
sold on who they are and who they want to
be at I think as we get a little bit
further in the season, we'll see if Jordan Love is
that guy that they paid him to be. I'm not
(31:34):
sold on that yet I need to see more. So
this game Thursday is going to be a big game
for both defenses and Jordan love to see if he
can do something.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
No doubt. All right, man, we're looking forward to it
as well. Thank you if I appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Piate you guys. Brothers, y'all say say no doubt you too.
All right.
Speaker 2 (31:52):

Speaker 4 (33:22):
Forty five and forty two. I'm getting close, okay, forty
five and forty two. I was towing one last night. Yeah, tonight,
I got Oklahoma City minus six and a half all
to take on the rocket.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
They got it's Kevin Durant, Is he alright? Yeah? Now
it's a good good dame right now?

leg to whom you will know whether.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
He might have on a long long sleeves on the legs,
so well, we might not know. We worried about that
man's moisturization. I ain't never heard so many men worried
about the other man's moisturization.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
What, Alex, I'm just talking about his ashy legs.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
That's all on uh Game number two, I'm taking the
Warriors minus two and a half taking on the Lakers.
There their favorites in La when no Brownie, when no
Arb Warriors, that's right? Well, how they favorites my minus
two and a half in La at Oklahoma City minus
(34:22):
six and a half hosting the Rockets.
Speaker 1 (34:24):

Yep, Lions Radio Right, there was that Dan Miller, Dann
Miller and Lomas.

kind of crazy. Even you, even you might even go
out that is kind of impressed. Do not put words
in my mouth. I haven't seen the status I know.
(35:37):
I said, even you, you might have you on the
mic because like even you, to quote my friend I
read to you during the break, Rob is ridiculous, I said,
why he said, show hey o Toddy hitting all these
hod ones. He can hit one of Japan and Rob
will be like, it's not that far man. This ain't
even got nothing to do where I was going. I
was going to the Detroit lines. But they get you
(35:58):
have my phone blowing up, text people tweeting and emailing me.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
What I'm just trying to people's granddaddies and Daddy's calling me.
I don't even know how they got my number because
I'm a text to me and calling me. Because I'm
an honest dad, you went too far. You were shaking
and you couldn't even you were stuttering you Because I'm
an honest I just don't. I don't want to be
on the bus with everybody else when it goes off.
(36:23):
You know, listen, every that's what everybody now and again,
getting on the bus and save your life. No, I'm
not that. I'm not gonna get on.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
The bus all right.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
I want to make sure that I give all sides
to stuff. I want to do a deep dive. I
want to look, hey, O, tany ain't this ain't that.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
I don't even know what he.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Can do, right, I'll give you, but I'll give you
here you go. So you talk about the three home
runs and the six inn. Can I give you one?
I'll just give you one. Bob Gibson in nineteen sixty seven.
I know nobody believes like that. Actually are people like
that happened. They think it's like going to the moon
and it was fake and all that. But Bob Gibson
(37:02):
in nineteen sixty seven, Game seven of a World series,
pitched a complete game, struck out ten and hit a
home run.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
That don't count. That's not better than six in see
what I'm trying to say. That's not to get ten.
Tony did it in six when he was able to
pitch a complete game.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
That's a game impressed home run.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
He was a pitcher, he wasn't every day. That is incredible.
That's impressed. That is up there. That is seven, that's
not there. Up you up three to zero in a series?
Watch how go?
Speaker 5 (37:42):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (37:43):
That is impressive. That is up to one of the
great games. But it's not what Tony did. Now real
quick because I had to go on that tangent real
quick because you got my phone blowing up.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Uh, this one is even cool.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
The Lions, including everybody right, the Chiefs and the Steelers
in the Charger, whoever you want to put, the Lions
haven't lost back to back games since October of twenty
twenty two fifty one games.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
That's unbelievable. Did they win a Super Bowl?
Speaker 5 (38:10):
No?
Speaker 1 (38:11):
You see, this is what I'm talking about. You can't
just acknowledge that's wi and impressive. Everybody lose. Everybody goes
on a losing streak. You lose two or three, you
have a couple back to back losses. Every team does that.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
The Lions lost, get them anything, my goodness. So you
told you couldn't do it.
