Speaker 1 (02:02):
Was Calvin Washington. Happy Friday, man, I'm feeling good. I'm
feeling like the entire city of la right now. They
don't know the exact number I've seen anywhere from a million.
Some people think two million people were all at the parade.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Seeing two hundred and twenty five thousand according to ESPN, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Man, did you did you see it with your you
did you watch any of your eyes?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Dude?

Speaker 6 (02:26):
You know saying that's what ESPN is reporting.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
They must have been meeting whatever corner their reporter was in, Like, hey, in.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
This one corner. I don't want in twenty five. I
don't want to.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Say that was way more than that, Rob, It was way, way, way,
way more than that.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
That's not even remotely true.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
I don't want to say that the Dodgers parade was small,
but I heard that they shared a large try.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'm just saying no, by large try, you mean half
of the entire the city of Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
That thing was crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I mean they got fifty thousand in the stadium alone
at the end, you know where they ended it. So
it was it was remarkable to see. And obviously, you know,
I do the news show in the morning, and we
had folks out there all over I mean early from
five to six o'clock. People all got here at four
in the morning, and it was it was spectacular. So
it was good to see, you know, the whole city

(03:17):
come out. From all reports, I've seen no incidents, so
people enjoyed themselves.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
We'd love to hear that no incidents. People should be celebrating.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
They were wilding at that first night, rob They were
wilding out the night they want it and put a
turn to put a metro bus on fire, and it
was shooting fireworks in people houses.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
It was a little crazy the first night.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Yeah, but my cwpf's close warm personal friends. They tell
me that when they set that bus on fire, they
were just trying to stay warm.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
It was a Chilea night in Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
No relax, we don't have to warm up dumpsters and
like they do in New York. Okay, we don't have
to do that like that man y'all had to do.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
All right, Hey, we got a great show on this
funky flashback Friday. Let's welcome into the Odd Couple crew.
We wouldn't be able to do his fine radio program
without him. Of course, Rob g is our producer. Steve
de Seger is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us
updated throughout the program as always. Our social media gurgule

(04:16):
is Elijah And on the Ones in twos, why bug?
And there you go, Mary, Mary on the Ones and twos.
All right, Kelvin, let's get started here. Last night, the
Jets win a big game. They play the Houston Texans,

(04:40):
who were what six and two coming in, and people
had high expectations for this team, right, people would say
they're going to super Bowl after last.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Year, rookie year. That was a sexy pick. I never
thought that.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
I thought that was extreme, you know, I really did,
especially for a rookie quarterback and what's going to his
second year and the adjustments he's gonna make, and and
you're not gonna sneak up on anybody. You know what
I mean, once you've had a season like that, I mean,
it doesn't mean that you can't advance.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
Or move forward.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
But to say they were gonna make it jump from
unexpected postseason run to the.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Super Bowl, I thought that was over the top.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
But anyway they came in. They've got some injuries. We
know Stefan Diggs is out, a couple other people. You know,
it's not the same exact team. And the other thing
too with CJ. Stroud has not played as well. Can
we can we all agree with that?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, I mean he's a bit I was.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
We were talking about a bit yesterday, even a lot
more off air, you and I.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Man, that man is running for his.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Life and he got signed so many times yesterday is
the most in any game in his career so far.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Dude, It's it's so.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
This is why to your earlier point, I believe a
lot of people thought AFC Championship super Bowl because you know,
you're going into a he's assuming he has his full
health of receivers, he has his offensive lines together, and
then you're expecting, you know, maybe they'll be as good
as they were.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
They haven't been that.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
And I was telling you yesterday and this is prior
to last night's game. He was the fourth most quarterback
under pressure this season. I mean, every time he snaps back,
he's running for his life. And that's not how he
wants to play. That's not where he's at his best
or his you know, strength. So we're obviously seeing the
worst version of the Houston Texans this year. And now

(06:32):
you have Digs out for the season and Nico Collins,
his best receiver or at least his favorite, has been
out for several weeks.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
So we're just looking at a rough version of them.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
It's kind of maybe even a miracle that they were
six and two going into last night.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
No doubt, but that's where they were. And now they're
six and three and the Jets they saved their season yesterday.
I know a lot of people don't want to hear
that because at three and six they lost five in
a row.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
But all I'm saying, they're definitely going to make the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
But when you have seven teams coming out of each conference,
now with the extra team right that they once they
added the other team, somebody could make the playoffs. At
nine and eight, the Jets could get on a run
the way that they lost five in a row, they
could win four or five in a row and really
get back in it.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
They finally looked after and we watched this together.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
The first half was awful, and boy did they look
much better in the second half as they finally put
together a good second half, won a game against a
good team, or at least coming in one of the
best teams in the AFC. Do I say that they
clinched anything, No, but I do say that their season
is still alive. Had they lost at home in that

(07:46):
situation with the Texans down some players you know, on
the road or whatever, then I don't know how you
can look at that Jets team with six straight losses
in the season and think that even though they're in
mathematically not eliminated last night, if they would have lost.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That they could recover.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
So I think it was a big win for confidence,
and I think that now they have something to build
on as they go forward.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I mean, the worst part about it for me is
you and I and everybody else. And I tweeted Amazon,
can I get some of my money back from having
to watch that?

Speaker 2 (08:19):
It was?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Really the Jets came out victorious, and they did. They
played much better in the second half. But it was
really them surviving what I would like to call the
toilet Bowl. There used to be a thing in the
Michigan called the Gus Macker. I don't know if you
remember that. It was a big yeah, yeah, it was
a big win return Michigan for twenty years.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
I know. I'm just making sure you were tapped in that.
You know, I don't know community, you know, I love
being crazy, man.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
I know you were tapped in man. And so the
gus Macker was a huge, huge ordeal and if you lost,
you had and if you lost again, you went into
what was called the toilet Bowl and a chance to
win like you were the best of the worst. And
that's what the Jets really to me. They just won
a toilet Bowl.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
It was not bad to Houston Texans. I can't buy
that thesion.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
No, this version of thee especially last night.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
They were leading, I mean, they were leading in the
game and just we're terrible to start the game.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
The Texas still could have won that game.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
No, and they could have.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
What I'm saying is if Stefan Diggs goes in, at
least I got another option at receiver and then okay,
maybe they're still a very viable team. He has no
Nego Collins, no Sefon Diggs. His offensive line lost his guard,
starting guard for the for I think you see the season.
I mean, the Jets came out and looked terrible, and
the concerns we had rob from the beginning of the season,

(09:39):
we're still there. They were offensive making terrible offensive penalties.
They seem to be and not in sync. They're making
terrible defensive blunders. They're they're hitting the punting the rough
and the kicker giving extra possessions.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
They just looked like a bad team.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
But they were down seven to nothing, they were held
scoreless in the first half, and Aaron Rodgers through three
touchdowns including But some people are calling to catch.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
It the year. Oh, that is catch you the year.
No it's not.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
We'll talk about that. No way, is that catch of
the year the year? We didn't say of all time. No,
I'm saying it's not to catch it the year. We'll
talk about it later on.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
What it is that? You know?

Speaker 1 (10:15):
What is like the presidential race? All right, it's a candidate.
There's two candidates. Well maybe that's a vice presidential candidate
right now or former president candidate. But I'll tell you
what he did look good for sure. I mean, and
they got DeVante Adams. They went into this game scene
they were gonna utilize him more. They're gonna, you know,
look out for him more. And they did that. Garrett
Wilson Also, game we talked about, looked really good, making

(10:37):
a couple of touchdown catches, one spectacular catch.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
So they look better.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
That's what out of doubt, I'm never ever gonna ignore
what my eyes just saw. But again, you lose five straight,
you look horrible. The first half of this game. I
can't come on here and sprinkle on some sugar over
the blank.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
It looked you know, it looked like blank.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
You know what, the first half I can't sprinkle sugar
over and call it something that it isn't. Now, if
all of a sudden, that second half is indicative of
what they are going to be moving forward, well, now
you might be cooking with something. But also concerned that
excuse me, did they put themselves in a hole too
far in the hole.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Well, they're not too far in the hole because they're
not eliminated. The only hole you could put yourself in
is being eliminated mathematically, and unless you're eliminated mathematically. I
mean we can sit here and say, oh, we don't
think and you don't think this is.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
Going to happen or whatever.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Teams make runs, Teams make runs that you don't believe
are in the cards, and all of a sudden, a
team that you never thought could make it because they
have a decent defense. They held the Texans to six
points two field goals in the second half. We know
that the defense hadn't played up to its ability or

(11:50):
up to par.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Would you agree with that to this point?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Remember the offense defense, the Jets defense, Oh yeah, the.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
They haven't been good and the offense had looked terrible
until the second half. Would they finally start to put
some air under the ball, make some plays downfield. I
just thought it was a breath of fresh air. It
wasn't the end all be all, or they're going to
the AFC Championship, but they look more like they could
be if they get this together with Davante, Adams and Wilson,

(12:22):
like they could be a problem.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
That's all I think.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
The issue on no, no, no, So everything you said,
it's fine. They absolutely look better. Let's split the difference
and say they're not as bad as they were the
first you know, six seven games, and then maybe they're
not going to be exactly that second half every game
and they end up having a nice record. I'm looking
at right now the standings, they're pretty much and they're
not gonna catch the Bills and win the division. Okay,

(12:44):
So that if we're not winning the division, what are
the rest of the team's doing.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
So it looks like the Chiefs are gonna win their division?

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Okay, then it gets complicated in that AFC North where
you could mess around and.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Get you know, the Steelers, the Ravens.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
To your point, what if the Bengals going on a run,
and then obviously whoever's gonna come out of the South,
which as of now looks like it could be the Texans. Texans,
maybe Joe Flacko goes crazy. So my point is they're
so far behind that it's not as if they're gonna
have a horrible record per se, as much as they
just got to win so many of their games and
hope they can slot in that wildcard spot.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
Well, I think the yeah, the wild card is up
for grabs. I mean, there's no doubt about it. If
it's the same way that they lost five one of
these teams, what if they don't get back on track.
The Texans, I mean like like that could be a
I mean, they're slotted to win the division. But I'm
just saying a team can have a bad patch as well,

(13:38):
uh and fall out or another team that's in that
they beat each other up in the North, right, because
the Ravens and those teams all have to play each other.
Somebody's gotta win, somebody's gotta lose. So there's a chance
that one of those teams, right, it might be Cincinnati
can't make it because they have to lose to the.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Rave They gotta have to lose to the Steelers and
all that. This is let me show your point. Here's
what's in their favor. We've talked about this for years. Uh,
typically when you were you know, if you're talking about
the Patriots, I get to just beat.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Up on my own division. They get to beat up
on their division.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
And if you're looking at the well, hypothetically, if they
were to win, you're looking at some of the games
they have coming up, and you say, okay, maybe we
got a chance. When you you look at our upcoming schedule.
You have the Cardinals, which aren't world breeders. That's a
that's a winnable game. The Cardinals are, you know about
a five hundred team. Then you got the Colts again,
a beatable, winnable team. They're solid, not great. Seahawks, solid

(14:30):
not great.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
There's three games right there where you can look at
it and it gives it a chance.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
We're good and it keeps going. You got the Dolphins, which.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
There's another probably got so what I'm saying like there's
four games that are winnable. I'm not saying if they
go three and one or if they somehow put four
wins together, you're talking about a different season.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
And that's and you.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Got a couple more.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
You got the Jags, the Rams, which who knows what
they'll be December twenty second and I think they'll lose
to the Bills in December twenty nine. But then you
end it with the Dolphins again, which who knows where
there'll be. So they got the ball is.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
In their court.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
You know, they got to dig themselves out of a
big time hole, the Grand Canyon size hole.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
But you know it sounds like got flipped you. Now
I flipped you saved the season. And now you're saying
when you look at the schedule, wall and all gives
them hope.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I think they're too far in the hole.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
But if any hole, you're saying here right now that
there's no way they can make the playoffs. That what
you're saying, I don't think they make the playoffs. I
didn't ask you that. I said there's no way. Are
you saying that that they.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Said said they I don't think they make the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Okay, I just want to hear it from your mouth,

Fox Rob and I talking about the Jets, Aaron Rodgers says, well,
they might have saved their season. Do you buy it?
I think it's too little, too late. Rob thinks they've
got a shot. What about you?

Speaker 2 (17:13):
We'll we got Rob all right?

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Rob g you
got me? Yes, all right, Dave in New Jersey. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
What's up, Dave?

Speaker 8 (17:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (17:28):
Can you hear me?

Speaker 2 (17:29):
We got yes?

Speaker 9 (17:30):
All right, good, thank you. I have to say that
it's gonna come down to coaching, and they don't have
a coach. You have to think, like, who are the
other coaches on this team. It's gonna come down to,
like someone make a play, and I feel like that's
gonna be Aaron scapegoat at the end, that he doesn't
have a coach. I still think that that offensive coordinator
that they got out of there, he's still there, but

(17:51):
I think he's still assisting in helping with calls. But
he's gonna come down to coaching and they don't got it.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Can you?

Speaker 6 (17:56):
Can you admit though that the offense look way better
in the second half or not?

Speaker 9 (18:00):
Yeah, they looked awesome. They looked awesome, but you're playing
against the depleted Texan kick.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
I mean, but that's what you're supposed to do, Like,
you can't use that when I hate no, no, no,
I'm just it doesn't The Jets were favored for a reason.
They had lost five in a row against a team
that was six and two when they were favorites because
they knew they knew.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
That they would complete it.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
My point is they did what they were supposed to do,
which was gonna win.

Speaker 9 (18:25):
I apologize for in rookie because it's your show and
I respect you. But my whole thing is, like they
were favorites in how many games this year and they
never came through. I mean, you have to look at
it like that as well.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
No, but you got I'm looking at it as going forward.
That's all I'm saying. That was a terrible first half.
They would shut out. They had a touchdown. Remember they
had a touchdown loss because I don't figure out who
the guy dropped the drop the pa I've dropped the
ball before he got into the end zone.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
I mean, that was dubious.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Thanks for the Dave, Dave, thanks for the call. You
ain't got to You ain't got a f like you gotta.
That was a toilet bowl game.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Let's not act like they played some amazing league game.
They had a good quarter and a half and that
was it. I'm not ready to just crown them all
of a sudden, and they had nobody.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
You don't see that, hey, I tell you all the time, Kelvin.
Pro Sports has a short menu wins and losses.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
That's all there is. There's nothing they five for.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
It is no ignoring that, all of a sudden, we're
talking about the here and now, which is that they
won last night. Who cares about the five losses I won?
If they have six losses and talk about them.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
I'm absolutely caring about all those losses because the whole
season is compiled up into the whole season, not twenty
five to thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
That's not the season.

Speaker 5 (19:44):
Matthew and Thailand, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
What's up, Matthew?

Speaker 8 (19:50):
Hey, thanks for taking my call. Man, I love you.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Guys, Thank you, my man.

Speaker 8 (19:56):
I want to give you the best three words of sport.
Come on, man, Aaron Rodgers is not he's not Tom Brady,
He's not bad Manning. He's not gonna win a super
Bowl in New York just because it's New York.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
No, what's saying.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
No, what's saying they're gonna win a super Bowl becauld
they make the playoffs. That's my only point is that
they haven't been eliminated.

Speaker 8 (20:21):
It was a standalone game. The super Bowl is going
to be the Buffalo Bills against the l A Rams.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yeah, okay, one.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
You'll get you on the subway in New York. Okay,
next to a round.

Speaker 9 (20:37):
You heard of.

Speaker 8 (20:38):
Person from Matt and Tayland. Remember that, right, Matt.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
You said maybe the news ain't got to.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Him yet, that the Rams ain't got I mean, maybe
the news ain't reached that far.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
Well maybe maybe it's the feed is so back that
that's the Rams that won the.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Super Bowl Cup. That would make more sense.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
You know, like the news is old there in Thailand.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
But we appreciate it that we have a very faithful
listener who's listening to the show in Thailand.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
I think we appreciate it. I don't know if it's
coming off.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Matt.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
We love you, don't, Matt, don't, don't flip the station.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Matt ain't going nowhere. We appreciate you, Matt. Thank you
so even though you're wrong, we love the Rams. But
my guys, come on, now, who else we got anybody else?

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Know?

Speaker 2 (21:19):
All right?

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Well we'll continue that conversation at some point throughout the day.
As Rob thinks the Jets are going to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
You know that, you know, I never said that out
of my mouth. Just stopped.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
There's a trend that I'm starting to get concerned about
in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I'll throw that at you, and it's but right now.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Coming to you live from the tie rack dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Uh, we were kind of watching the game.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
I think, if I'm not mistaken, you put some shekels
on the game yesterday with the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Thinking forgot that Doc Rivers was coaching.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
That's my fault.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
And you know who his assistant is. Right, leave Darvin
Ham alone. He won the first ever in season tournament.
Rob G is a Laker fan. He shed tears when
they put that bantner up for the end season tournament.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
You're right, You're right.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
So you got Darvin Ham, who listened. I love Michigan man.
He threw something.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
He won a championship with the two thousand four Pistons.
That's why Rob G hates Darvin Ham. You know what
I've learned, Rob, and I think you've learned this too.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Is a part of life, but especially in sports, and
you know, optics are everything, right, Perception is everything. Sometimes
you know, in the grand scheme, it might not be true,
but if that's how people perceive it, they get Darvin
Ham pull your.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Hands out your pockets.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
At some point you would think, I don't care if
it was just his best friend, his wife, somebody. Hey, hey, look,
I know, I know, do me a favor. No, I
just be really just resting and really trying to come out. No, no,
I know, I get it. Do me a favor, pull
your hands out your pocket. So now there's some hilarious
memes of like how JJ Redick has already called up
some plays and then they'll do it side by side

(23:06):
of like an old Darren hand play.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
But you got the Bucks who are struggling. The Lakers
lose three in a row. We'll see how good JJ
Reddick is and how he's going to the NBA Coaches.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Hall of Fame. He's already in there already. Goodness great
like it goes.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
It's like JACKJ Reddick pat Riley, Okay, right, you know
he's a tactician.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
I'm just give them sweet games, my guy. Know.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
They got blew out in Cleveland on Lebron and Ronnie Knight.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Let's just give it some time. I'm not saying he's horrible,
not saying no, no.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
But I'm just saying they were just trying to crown them.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
But you know what we well somebody who has been
crown as far as a champion, but right now is
struggling man and that is the Bucks. And I think
for a lot of folks, it's kind of starting to
get confusing when you say, all right, last year, you
know you got Damien Damian Lillar comes and all right, well,
maybe they're getting to know each other.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
And then everybody when they made that trade that oh
my god, Gianni's got what he wanted and him and
Dame go to together perfectly. I mean you remember people
were random raving about that deal going down.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Yeah, now you got because they're one and four on
the season and they've had some horrible losses, and I
think there might be some rumblings that Doc Rivers doesn't
really have the team to buy in there. And as
of now, he's sitting at twenty and twenty six with
an MVP candidate Yearly and Giannis and obviously with a
perennial All Star and Dame and a bunch of other
really good players. Bobby portis the six Man of the

(24:33):
Year candidate, Defensive Player of the Year type player in
Brook Lopez, Chris Middleton. All these guys are like, why
are they struggling last year? Adrian Griffin has to be
sending somewhere like, oh, I was the problem.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
I was the problem.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
All Adrian Griffin has to do is look at that
bank book and he's good.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Because being home too. That's the crazy part. It's amazing
to me how many teams will fire somebody just to like,
we just we feel pressure, we gotta fire. And they
didn't have to pay them for like three extra years
whatever the dealer is, Yeah, for them to just be
at home or go do someone and spend some more
time with the kids, whatever it is. But now you
got some some anonymous execs who are thinking, there's anonymous

(25:11):
Eastern Conference execs that said, you're hearing talks of maybe
he a Western Conference execs. I should say also in
the Eastern Conference, the West Conference execs is saying, I
wouldn't be surprised if he ends up getting traded by
the trade deadline. The Eastern Conference is saying, don't be
surprised if teams like Miami or the Knicks, or in
the Mets or the Nets. Also in the Mets in
the mix forgetting him. Giannest has been putting pressure on

(25:33):
the organization crazily actually, like kind of like whoa dude,
like you just won that're working in their best to
get you some talent. He's all of a sudden been
crazy empowered and like putting big time flex in his muscles.
So it'll be interesting how this plays out in the
next month or so if they continue down this trend.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
I'll say this, those reports mean nothing to me, and
I'm gonna tell you why. When you say don't be
surprised if he is gonna be traded, you.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Haven't said anything.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
You're you're neutral basically, So if he doesn't get traded,
you say, well, I didn't tell you he was going
to get traded. And if he gets traded, you go
see I told you like like say he's done, like
like that's a report, like don't be surprised if anybody
uses that Kelvin, it's it's there's no report there because

(26:21):
just it's the middle of the road.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
It's not saying if.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
You have an executive say it's so bad in Milwaukee.
He will be traded by the All Star break. Then
then I'm I'm listening, okay, But to say don't be
surprised doesn't mean anything to me.

Speaker 6 (26:38):
But I understand it ain't working out. I got that.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
But the add to that is the rumblings. Right, Giannis
has been very vocal the last two or three seasons. Now,
what's crazy on his part is he just signed that
three year extension right after they got Damian Lillard. So,
but they asked Damian Lillard on Monday, they were asking
him in Boston. Uh, before they're lost there, you know, hey,
what's going on? What do you guys need to do
to kind of get this thing right? And Damien said it, quote,

(27:02):
me and him got to be able to hold each
other accountable. And I don't mean yelling at each other
all the time, just mean like I got to be
able to say something to you and you got to
be able to say something to me.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
At all times.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
And he's always had to pull his foot down in
Milwaukee and kind of lead the charge, so on and
so forth, basically saying, you know, he's had to do that,
but now it should be able to be me leading
and him leading as well, and that to me, this
doesn't sound good from two guys who are veterans, who've
been around. And I think Giannis is starting to trying
to chase legacy now, like filling the clock, like I've
got to win two, three, four more championships.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
And like he said, his legacy said that he knows
what I mean, should have been Milwaukee. I'm just telling you,
like nobody expected that. You remember when he signed that
deal and didn't go to join Miami, everybody was like,
you're dumb, Oh my god, you'll never win. You should
have gone to Miami. Nobody wins in Milwaukee, and then
they wind up winning. You know, Like I'm just saying

(27:55):
what man's man.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
I think historically as far as this, he's got to
he's MVP, and then clearly he's a mate man for
life in Milwaukee. I'm saying, I'm chasing now the Kevin Durants,
the staffs, the you know, obviously maybe not Lebron, but
I'm chasing those guys when it comes to greatness. And
like he's already come out and said Jalen Brown is
the best player in the NBA because he's the best.
He was the best player on the best team that won.

(28:20):
So you can tell that's his mindset. I want to
be on the winning team so I could be the best.
So that's where I am. And I think my concern
you start the end. I'm wondering Rob will the NBA
because of the pressure we put on, like the only
thing that matters the championships, and guys start wanting to
try to c I gotta get two because someone's I
gotta get three or four, five because I gotta like, well,
we create a MLB or a Major League Soccer or

(28:43):
world you know, Premier League soccer where guys are just
going to team to team hitman for higher like Kevin Durant,
where yeah, you're great, you're talented, but all of a sudden,
you're donna have a home because you're just going from
team to team, the team trying to win because I
gotta win a championship. They're gonna the only thing that
will career.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
I don't know how like for him that fits in.
I really don't because he did the impossible. He won
in Milwaukee, he's won an MVP, he's averaging thirty points.
I just like, really like Gianni's I don't look at
him as like he has to win four championships to
be validated.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
I think you though, and I get you, I'm with
but I think the pressure is on these players like
I have to win, like Steph, like Lebron, like Kobe,
otherwise I did not have this amazing career. I think
we're starting to feel that from the pressure pressure on
the players, where they're like if I don't have these
multiple then what was my career?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
When that's not necessarily the case.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Right, We're all intelligent enough to be able to contextualize like, Okay,
well that player was in this market, or he didn't
have the players, or he was kind of by himself.
But it's we've now put because of to me so
many debate shows and social media like well, I mean Rains,
He's had simple answer, how many rings does he have?
And like it's now guys are freaking out like if
I don't get to multiple multiple rings, then my career

(30:00):
wasn't what it should have been, and that's not necessarily
the case.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
All right, coming up next, Yeah, we got Sheko City
on the way.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Uh And if you want to jump in on any
of this, I always feel Free eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
How'd you do with Shekel City? Don't tell me.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
I want to look at your face. I'll be able
to tell how you did. Let me look at it.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Uh what I mean?

Speaker 6 (30:20):
All I know is I got that Jets game right?

Speaker 2 (30:22):
You didn't get that Jets app?

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Well, I know you felt good you all of a
sudden talking about they're going to the AFC Championship.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Maybe say all that is?

Speaker 1 (30:29):

Here's you expresspros dot Com and it is now time
for Shekel City.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
All right, here we go Shekel City. Two and one.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Last night, I did lose that Milwaukee Bucks game, but
I did get that Jets game. So two and one
last night, here we go. Best bet the Denver Nuggets.
Chicken Nuggets have been struggling. I'm gonna take them plus
four and a half. They're in Minnesota. Both the Tea
Wolves and the Nuggets are two and two. I'm gonna
take Denver plus four and a half, just the road win.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
They need to get a good win. I'm gonna give
them one.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
Also, i'm gonna take OKC is in Portland, Okay, see
minus eleven and a half, my god, eleven and a half.
Normally you stay clear of that, but I'm not. I'm
gonna take Oka se minus eleven and a hal half
against the two and three Trail Blazers.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
Of course, OKC off to a four and oh start.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
And my final game, i'm gonna take the Pacers on
the road, taking on New.

Speaker 6 (32:14):
Orleans minus four and a half.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
So after Pacers minus four and a half, the Nuggets
plus four and a half, and OKC minus eleven and
a half and remember Kelvin.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
What's that.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling
you who I bet on. And your boys got a
bone to pick. I'm really upset.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Well, you got a bow to pick with with right now,
with the with the station, with the network. Why what's up?

Speaker 5 (32:39):
So you know I have to snack something to eat
during the show at some point, so I had some
big zd Okay, I come in Today is Friday, and
they clean out the refrigerator day.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
I get that. I just put my.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Food in there like less than an hour ago, and
somebody threw it out as guardens.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
I am, so you put it in there today today.

Speaker 5 (33:01):
That's not what cleaning out the refrigerator Friday means. That's
outrageous and I'm gonna put it on my expenses and
i want my ten dollars and forty two cents back
that I paid for that.

Speaker 10 (33:13):
It's ten dollars. Are you serious?

Speaker 7 (33:15):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Married, don't do that. I'm thinking, like thirty bus married,
I'm married, don't do that. It's print. I'm actually a
rob side this time. It's principal. No.

Speaker 10 (33:22):
Not in his defense though, because people do keep stuff
in there.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
I get that, But you also have to understand that
people are coming in and work the evening shift who
could have put food in Like you just cannot throw
everything out in the refrigerator on Friday?

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (33:37):
So let me here's the thing you guys, you know
I'm new. Is this what we do on Friday? Because
your boy needs to know before I bring something in there.

Speaker 10 (33:45):
It's plastered on the on the fridge.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
Yeah, but that's to clean out the refrigerator, which I
get if there's old stuff that you smell.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
All right now, I'm slowly leaving your Now, I'm slowly
leaving your side, Rode, because if it's big signs that say, yo,
we're cleaning it out today, then I mean, are am
I supposed to do with big you? Right hey here
today November four pm.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
Really, the person who writes it or the person who
does take the stuff out, he does it before three pm.
So I'm guessing he's probably just like God, a little behind.
That's probably the like.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
And I never had my food thrown out, not not
food that I just bought an hour ago.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
And you know what, for you, Rob, I'm gonna tell
you why I'm mad for you, because for once you
had something other than chicken and rig exactly. No, had
something decent and then they threw it out. It's the gods.
It is the curse of the refrigerator gods, the food
gods that you could you finally had something respectable. Uh,
you got somebody there.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
It looked like, you know, you might be showing off.
Let me have a little bake z showing them how
I do what I do when I do what I do.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
No, No, I got one of the USC students here
with me.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
That's what I'm salling.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
And you're trying to act spectacle for Caleb. And Caleb,
let me tell you what he really eats is like
secondhand chicken and reds. But today he had a legitimate meal.
And you know, I'm going full Martin Luther King for you.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
I had dreamed that.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
One day Rob will be able to eat his bag
zd in peace. Well he won't throw away your big
ZiT Rob.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Well, well, well.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
I'm so disappointed that you didn't had to go in
the garbage.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
And pick it up.

Speaker 6 (35:24):
It was no David through the garbage out.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I couldn't even go there and find it. I was
looking in the golf cake. Let me ask maybe a second.
Maybe it was on the top and I get.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Let me hey, Rob g and Mary, Mary, if and
Rob Parker. If it was in the container, still fine,
But in the back of trash, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (35:45):
No, No, I'm talking about you know this out and
I would.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
I would eat it.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
There's you're also like twelve tax brackets above me and Mary.

Speaker 7 (35:55):
Yeah you was, you was coming in.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
I'm gonna be on Robs Rob. This is Mark.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
This Donald is the friday that I was on Team
Rob for one some time. Y'all gotta quit worrying about
that man tax bracket.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Okay, food is food.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
You know.

Speaker 10 (36:10):
First off, whole food is like less than five minute walk.
You can legit.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Just go to the hop park now, you're you know
what you gotta do Parker? You know to get back
at the man? Is you gotta buy everybody food?

Speaker 9 (36:21):
Now?

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Is that what I gotta do?

Speaker 5 (36:22):
That's the move even me, Yes, and charge it to
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Invoice it. Listen, we'll tell him later.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
All right, all right, yeah, I'm not even I got
a confront. I'm kind of hurt for you, man, I am.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
I was hurt.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
I really was looking forward to that Big ZD and
I got nothing.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
That's what you actually had. A mature adult meal man
dad going to you know, I've been acting mature. Michael
Parsons will tell you why. Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, f Sr.
