Rob and Kelvin explain how the Oklahoma City Thunder are comparable to the San Antonio Spurs of the early 2000s – but in a bad way, tell us how this weekend’s Los Angeles Dodgers-New York Yankees series is dividing the show, and take a trip out to Shekel City for Rob’s nightly bets. Plus, SportsEthos podcast host Rick Kamla swings by to discuss why the Thunder don’t seem to rate with casual basketball fans, the New York Knicks’ chances of coming back to win the series against Indiana, how fantasy sports have consumed his life, and much more!

We both got on a nice little polos going on here.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Well, I got mine in order to get my car.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
So you know what I told him. I told him
I was gonna remember I told you I was gonna
do it. I pumped a rob. I was disappointed myself.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
What do you think They're not going to give you
a shirt out of those overpriced, expensive cabinets that they have,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Like, yeah, I know I got some other stuff they hold,
but I didn't. I didn't. I didn't get it right.
He took They gave my wife a little something.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Oh no, no, let me call my guy back.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I got to call my guy back. You don't want
to close the deal.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
No, you want to be over this, uh polo, No,
you're not gonna give it to me.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Okay, right? Should let me call him back and see
if he can ship me on a hoodie or something
like that. But I feel good, man, there's a lot
to get to. Got some uh some good stuff to
talk about in a variety of sports too.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yes, definitely a lot to talk about. So let's get
started with welcome in the Odd Couple crew, because we
wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program without him.
Rob g is our producer, Alex is our engineer, Steve
the Sega and is our social media guru, Yes Eligi,

(03:10):
and he does a great job.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
So there we go.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
The crew is uh is there and everybody's in place,
and uh, you know, we're gonna talk about the OKAC Thunder.
And I don't know about you, what's that? And I
don't know about the rest of America, America, America, but

(03:33):
I got bad news for you when it comes to
the Thunder. The Thunder are the new San Antonio Spurs,
but in a bad way because all the numbers that
come out remind me of what the Spurs were.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
And then this, and here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
The Spurs at least were boring, you know what I mean,
fundamentally sound, not that it sighting right, but they won.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
The Thunder got something going on.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
And people don't seem to be interested or be enamored
with this team, and I'm already here to predict that
it will. If that, you know, when the Pacers beat
the Knicks, it will be the lowest rated finals in
the post COVID era. I'm convinced to that. And let

(04:26):
me tell you about the Spurs. You ready Spurs had.
We're in two of the lowest NBA finals pre COVID
two thousand and seven versus the Calves and two thousand
and three against the New Jersey Nets. Just awful, right,
small market kind of like you know, we talked about you.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
You said this all the time. Baseball's regional.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
NBA can be very regionable reason regional as well, if
it's not involving the big teams. And we see and
we have seen that, because there's no reason why people
should be afraid to tune in to watch SGA.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Right, and this.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Rising star and this unbelievable team with the numbers and
the defense and all the stuff that has piled up.
This isn't a team that backed their way in. And
oh my god, I can't believe they were a wild card.
And somehow something happened and two players ran into each
other and they picked up the ball and laid it
up and won the game.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Do you know what I mean? Right? This is not
like the Keystone Cops.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
They're dominated all year, all year, all year. Even at
one point thinking they might be, you know, challenging the.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Golden State Warriors for the most wins in the regular season.
They were ahead of them for a while.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
That's what I mean, yea, And none of it seems
to matter. And I get it. The blowouts, the games.
People watched the Dream Team, any of those game competitive,
any of those game competitive, the original Dream Team. Oh okay,
people watched it. They still wanted to see the demolition

(06:15):
of it, do you know what I mean? Like, sometimes
you do want to see the fire, and you do
want to watch and see exactly you do and the gawkers,
you know that. So if I'm the NBA, I'm a
little worried here that this new hotness of the NBA

(06:36):
is only new hotness in Oklahoma City and maybe just
around the areas, but not the United States proper, because
this is not a good thing. And and anybody would
challenged me to tell me that if the Pacers are playing,
because again the Pacers and being regional, right, the Pacers
and OKAC will rank as one of the lowest rated finals.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I already know that. Well I don't. I don't disagree
at all. And if you're the NBA, you're praying Jalen
Brunson goes crazy like he did last night and pulls
off a stunning you know, comeback from down three to
one against the Pacers. A couple of things that we've
talked about, and I mentioned this earlier in the week
and even last week actually I think was last Friday.
I mentioned that some of the issues that the Thunder

(07:20):
have to to add to your point is that they
don't have the coupling, meaning, Okay, you got the MVP,
but who's the other guy? Right? Usually we get him
in pairs. You got Scottie and Michael Shaq and Kobe
Kareem and Magic Bird and McHale or Robert Port. It's
just really SGA. Now, Jalen Williams is really good and

(07:41):
Chet is on his way to the Williams Yeah, yeah, yeah,
But everybody always when your team wins a bunch of games. No,
but I'm just saying Alanta loss. Kyle Korver was an
All Star in like twenty sixteen or fifteen or something
like that because his team was by far the best
record in the Eastern Conference that Atlanta Hawk, and they
had Al Horford, Joe Johnson, uh somebody else and Kyle Korver.

(08:04):
So it happens where when you're the by far leading
your conference with the record, you're gonna get multiple All stars.
Happens all the time. So they don't have that I mentioned,
they don't have a name of the team. Usually when
you're really just good, you get something rob you get
a splash, Brothers a showtime of Detroit basketball. They don't
have it right now. They're just the thunder. They're not
the Heatles. They're nothing like that. And usually you have

(08:26):
that and it brings some type of thing people want
to watch you.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
So only thing is the teams. You all mention just
bigger markets.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I'm okase he's a really small market, so is San Antonio.
I really believe market size Brothers. You know, Oakley wasn't
that big.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
No, that's next to Sam.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
But I think if they have something that's the region
the Bay Area, you don't.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
But I mean, if they and I get your pointment,
I'm saying, if they had something right right now, it's
just man, they just play a lot of defense with
a bunch of guys that you don't know outside of
one or two guys. So here's what I'm thinking and hoping.
Oh orry, if you're Adam Silver you're praying for It
reminds me rob of J Cole versus Drake Nas versus

(09:10):
jay Z. It's one of those purest things, right. Jay
Z can rap his butt off, but he got he
knows he goes to go a little commercial, make some
commercial hits, and kind of be played on a bunch
of different stations. Nas at his prime, was more of
a just straight up word Smith's storyteller, a pure hip hop,
a pearist J Cole when he first comes out, he

(09:31):
was trying to go pop in minstrum mainstream, but it
didn't really work because at his heart, he's a pearist,
He's a hip hop art is a rapper Drake who
can rap. It's much more mainstream, much more pop. And
I say that to say, you hope that basketball purist
would tune in to the Thunder and Pacers. Basketball lovers

(09:52):
who love the game, who love it at a high level,
high quality basketball, high IQ basketball, would tune in and
enjoy it, make it something, and the ratings maybe wouldn't
suffer as bad as we predict they would. So that's
what the NBA is making on that the peers will
show up like they show up for Nas, like they
show up for j Cole, like they show up for Kendrick,

(10:12):
even though they may not be the most commercial Ala Lakers,
Alla A Knicks or Alah, you know, the Warriors or
something Boston, some of these mainstream blue bud teams. That's
what you're hoping for. Otherwise, if it's just Pacers and Thunder,
yeah we might see. I'm predicting maybe a fifteen percent
drop from last year.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Well, outside of the bubble game five versus Minnesota was
the least watched Western Conference Final game since twenty thirteen. Yeah, yeah,
the full five game series Thunder versus Timberwolves average five
point five to nine million, down seventeen percent from the

(10:53):
Mavericks and Timberwolves just a year ago. And it was
the least watched conference final since twenty twenty one. So
that's four years. So there's just a lot of bad numbers.
And if it was a fluke team, I could see it.
This is a team that all year right, them and
Cleveland were winning at a high clip, so people were

(11:15):
prepared for this all year, knowing like, oh okay, wow,
SGA's going to do his thing. While they did it,
we thought that they were too young. Like there's an
intrigue that should be there. That's what I'm saying, Like this.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
This is what I was telling you, Rob, I'm with
you last yesterday. I was saying, if they had closer
games where we saw SGA go on. Remember when Lebron
was playing the Pistons and he scores twenty five straight
and we're like, oh my gosh, look this kid has arrived.
He had a moment and whoa. Lebron's good, but he
can't do it against the Cavs or the Celtics in

(11:47):
a game six. I'm saying, if SGA on the along
the way, was having closer games where he could remind
people or show people I can close out, I can
outduel Edwards, I think that would have added to the
intrigue when you're stilled.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
By I still don't think it would have been I
agree it would be a lesser. I just think, help
you get what I mean, because you're like, man, that boy.
I'm telling you, man, he had to drop fifty. I
just you don't have to drop fifty because the games
are close. I just think people are really it depends
on who's playing and people are into. Just like when
I just gave you, like the Nets with Jason Kidd.

(12:22):
They went to two finals I think two three right,
and had terrible rate. Nobody in New York watched those
like like they could care less, like which.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Is crazy because there was alley oops and shooting. Was
actually a pretty fun team.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Like you wouldn't even know that they were that they
were even in the finals.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I wonder if that was Spurs more than like no
the next because Jersey doesn't even have a TV market,
you know, do you know what I mean? Like like
it's the weirdest, that's just New York.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah, they don't have a TV market, so so they're
kind of in no man's land. South Jersey is the
seventy six ers above Jersey and New York and the Knicks,
and then right in northern northern New Jersey is where
the Nets play.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, I wonder what that what the netspur Nets Lakers was?
What was that O two? Yes? What that old two was?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Rob G has it?

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (13:17):
You asking you shall receive?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Oh dang, Rob G? All Right, that's why you got it, Roger.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
So here we go.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
Two thousand and two, Lakers NETS did a ten point
two million viewers or ten points you rating. The following season,
those same NETS taking on the Santos Burst in a
series that went six games, two more games in the
previous areas with Lakers off the floor, with them dropped forty.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
See, yeah, that's what I mean. That's what I'm saying,
Like Spurs, You're right that I'm saying that did not
help because meaning the Nets was a fun team against.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
The Lakers, all right, But I'm saying that's why I think,
okay sees the New Spurs, and that's even though they
won the five championship spread out over twenty years, it
really wasn't a feast for the NBA.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
I do wonder, Roger, and maybe you can hit us
with these numbers after the break, But when it had
the Spurs heat those heatles, that had to be fun
because those two series were great. One where that you
know Ray Ray Cleveland, I'm yeah. And then the next
year the Spurs get their revenge. I'd imagine, though that's.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Different because you got Lebron in it, and so that's
kind of.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
But I wish you man. Okay, See, that's what I said. Dude.
They're just they're they have a collegiate way of scoring.
I mean, it's a bunch of different guys you don't know,
and it's great for them, and it makes them play
the basketball the right way, but it isn't the most entertaining.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Way, all right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine on.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
A Funky Flashback Friday. And it's a simple question to you.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Are the thunder this generation spurs, like I said, but
in a bad way? And why aren't fans interested in? Okay, see,
we'll continue that conversation next with you. It is The

let's go with Rob and Queens. That could be me.
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
What's up, Rob, Hey, guys, man, let you guys are
always saying, always appreciate you. I think it's more so
of OLKC being the new team, young fresh, the young team.
And I believe there's someone the final star or leaders,
the pick of whoever they played, because one SGA is
the young superstar to make ends. And I believe the

(16:56):
only thing that's probably going against him is they've been
so dominant, they've been glos out and the people I
talked to think that the completely win the championship.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Let me ask you, Rob, I hear your points.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Yes, but we just showed you about the New Jersey Nets,
who are one team that was a fun team. Go back,
Kelvin Ony laid it out. That was a fun team
nobody watched. Okay, the Spurs won five championships. That one
of the greatest players, Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan is a
missed free throw by Kawhi Leonard Away and a.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Three pointer made by by.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Ray Allen Away from being six and oh in the finals,
like Michael Jordan, do you know that he was five?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
And he was five and Kelvin nobody remembers that, Like
that's actually I'm not gonna lie Rob, that is one
of the things we don't bring up enow am I right?

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Like think about it, Rob. So that's all I'm saying
is that I hear your point. But we have other
evidence where you had good team, fun teams or all
time great players like Tim Duncan and people didn't watch.

Speaker 8 (18:03):
I believe in SGA man. I really believe he has
the personality.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Rob. You took it too, fo. I was with you
if you said you believed in his game the mid range.
He's all about his team. Maybe you liked his braids personality.
Hold up, what you mean? Did I miss something? If
my daughter was dating him, I would love it. He
seems like a very nice, hard.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Working, committed guy just out of our dancing on TikTok
that's all.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Oh yeah, well, oh he was, like you know, he
was a little young. He was young. Then let me
tell you something about these tickety talks and these thanks Twitters,
thank you, Rob boy, They gonna come back to bite everybody.
This new generation, Rob, that's literally all they've known. Uh,
Facebook came out and what six oh seven, So you
got kids who are entering the NBA. Literally that's all
they've ever known. Like it is gonna bite a whole

(18:57):
lot of them in the butt.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Crazy, No, I know?

Speaker 1 (19:01):
All right? On the way we have, we got Rick
Kamala getting ready to join us SOCSI of the NBA
and WNBA podcast on sports.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
You got some beef during the season, Rob g didn't
we meet him?

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Ready?

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Do I remember that?

Speaker 2 (19:13):

What's up? Man?

Speaker 9 (19:46):
You know what's going on? Fellas? Hope you guys are
doing well tonight.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
We're excellent. We're trying to get to the bottom of
a beef that you and Rob may have had during
the season. Do you remember it all? What you guys
are beefing about?

Speaker 9 (20:00):
That again?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
You Rob G says it was about the m v P.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
I thought it was about the Lakers' figure it out.
We remember, I thought, I remember us having a spirited conversation,
but I didn't think it was over the m v P.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
That's what Rob G says. I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
About the Lakers when they got Luca, But I could
be wrong. Okay, let's talk I'm not interested in that.
Let's talk about Let's talk about, uh, the OKC thunder
and how come people aren't watching them? And and uh
what why is that? They're fun? They win games, they
they got a great young star. What what is happening?

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Come?

Speaker 4 (20:35):
How come the numbers are so down?

Speaker 10 (20:38):
Well, you know, because they're in the middle of the country,
and you know it's all about you guys.

Speaker 9 (20:44):
Know this is the most one.

Speaker 10 (20:45):
Of the most historical NBA conversations, right, you know, the
Glory teams, the Heritage teams, the big market teams. Uh,
they have the biggest fan base that they drive ratings,
all this kind of stuff. Like if there's a Game seven,
I don't think there will be, but if there's a
Game seven between New York and Indiana, the ratings are
going to be unbelievable. Because there's a New York team involved.
If it was Indiana and Cleveland, the ratings would not

(21:06):
be amazing.

Speaker 9 (21:08):
It's just what it is. What it is.

Speaker 10 (21:09):
It's not like a buzz killer, a good thing or
a bad thing. It's just a fact of American life.
But none of that matters. You know, Milwaukee snuck up
on everybody and got a chip. Toronto snuck up on
everybody and got a chip. Denver snuck up on everybody
and got a chip. And now o case, he's not
sneaking up on anybody. We all saw this coming like
a freight train down the tracks. But they're gonna get theirs,

(21:32):
and guys, I think soon Minnesota is going to get theirs.
Once andmn figures out that he's got to be a
full time killer and not a part time killer.

Speaker 9 (21:39):
He's going to bring a ring to Minnesota.

Speaker 10 (21:41):
So small markets are winning a lot of chips these days,
and whether the big markets want to get into that
or not, it really doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Look at you sounded like a governor out here, Rick. Uh.
You know, we look at I'll stick with this, okay,
see team, and I got to give a lot of
credit and at some point I want to do a
longer dive into this with Sam Presty and kind of really,
to me, he's kind of become the trust to process
and his process work. Once he went ahead and made
that trade against GA and then get a bunch of

(22:09):
young kids and now here they are going to the
NBA Finals. How really know?

Speaker 3 (22:15):
I don't think it's the process Like Philadelphia they wanted
to lose to get the top pick, and okay.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
See they didn't do it. It wasn't exactly the same.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
No, no, no, I'm saying they're his whole know how to.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Reach Philly was trying to lose to get played.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Philly's process didn't work. I'm saying Sam Presty has done
a marvelous job with different iterations. And when you have
this team right now, with a bunch of young kids
who are overachieving, uh, how do you attack them? Let's
say it's the pacers. I's say it is the knicks
that matter. How the heck do you say we got
a shot at beating them?

Speaker 9 (22:50):
Boy's got a good question.

Speaker 10 (22:52):
I don't think anybody in this field, in this league
right now has a chance to beat them, because guys,
this is the best defense that the NBA has seen
since the No Fly Zone. Detroit Pistons with Ben Wallace
when they were holding Cats to sixty nine seventy seventy one,
seventy five on the regular and that was two thousands basketball.
That wasn't you know, Riley style, East Coast beat him up,

(23:14):
you know, ninety style. That the game had opened up
a little bit and Detroit was still holding Cats to
seventy that that's probably because that I came into two
thousand and three with NBA TV. That's the best defense
I have covered, is that Detroit Pistons. Oh defense, This
OPAC defense is right there with it because there's no weaknesses.

(23:34):
You've got Hartenstein, you've got Chit, You've got Dork, you
got sja j Dubs, an all defensive guy. Caruso's unbelievable, dude,
How does anybody dribble when Alex Caruso is on the court.
I mean, he's got his hands and he's diving, and
he's so smart. He defends without balling, makes ten non
box score winning plays per game.

Speaker 9 (23:54):
They've got this league. Cook. Now, please don't ask me
about Dynasty.

Speaker 10 (23:58):
It's so fricking early to get into that. Okay, but
like they're gonna win this chip.

Speaker 9 (24:03):
I'm sure of that.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
So so Indiana doesn't do anything for you.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
And the way that they came back against Cleveland, like
they've been incredible that Nick come back. I just can't
count out the Pacers, and I can't count out Halliburton,
and I can't count out Rick Carla.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
I really can't.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
I hear you and on paper and all the other stuff,
But my god, I just the Pacers during the regular season.
To me, Rick, we talked about on this show no times.
I just like they were just kind of you know,
they were just out there and we know that they
went to the Eastern Conference last year and then we
were watching and doing our show and see what they

(24:41):
did to Cleveland, And every time we turned around it
with something incredible.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
That's why I just can't count out the Pacers.

Speaker 10 (24:49):
Well, and they've got a magical dude, man. I mean,
let's face it. I mean, the worst narrative in our
game right now is the Tyres Saliburton is overrated. If
anybody's saying that, like if players are saying that they're
just hating, they're just jealous. He's got one of the
best personalities in the sport. He's got one of the
best torches in the sport. He's making one of one
history Ala Jokic right with the game the other night,

(25:10):
the no turnover triple double and all that. He's the
first dude in NBA history, which this gonna blow your mind, guys,
first dude, and he did this like two years ago.
I think, first dude in NBA history to average twenty
and ten and forty percent on threes. Nobody's ever done
that other than Tyreees. Okay, so the guy's a historic player.
And Rob look, I hear you. There's a magical thing.

(25:30):
I got a buddy that I work with at Sports
Ethos called Steve Alexander. He calls it Destiny versus Dynasty
this finals, and I like that because Indiana is a
team of destiny. But you know what, guys, team of
destinies don't always win the chip.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
I'm just I'm just saying I agree. But I just kid,
there's something about them because those wins are what they
did to the Knicks was incredible.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Okay, let's just go fast forward.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Okay, say, if the Knicks do lose Game six and
it's all over, did they choke down a situation with
that Game one loss in that most people thought after
they beat the world champs in the Celtics right that
they were going to the finals.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Everybody and their uncle thought, oh wow, the Knicks are
gonna go to the finals.

Speaker 10 (26:14):
The Knicks have been a big disappointment in this series,
especially at home, like handle your business. I mean, I
know they did in Game five, but you didn't in
games one and two, right, I mean, Bank Bang Indiana,
I mean, the series was over you. You're not against
a badass team like Indiana bang at home and then
coming back and winning four out of five.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
It's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 10 (26:35):
I think Indiana Xhaled guys, and I think they're gonna
win tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
I got that feeling last night too. Halliburn eight shots.
It was like, you know what I mean, Like I
just felt like, I don't know, maybe maybe spoted them
a shot. Maybe maybe Prize picks. He did well on
Prize Picks last night. I'm just saying, hey, Rick, let
me ask you this.

Speaker 9 (26:56):
It's good Indiana on the money line last night.

Speaker 10 (26:58):
So that that didn't go well, No, that was not good.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Hey, Rick, kevler Our guest host of the NBA and
WABA podcast on Sports Ethos Here with the Acava Robin
Kelvin on a funky flashback Friday, Rick can Brunson, mister clutch,
you saw what he did last night? Can he pull
off something? Can he and Kat pull off a three
to one comeback? Can they say Lebron and the Cavs
y'all ain't the only ones who can do that? Or

(27:24):
is this thing just flat out over?

Speaker 10 (27:27):
It's not flat out over because you have the guy
that you're talking about, the best closer in the game,
Jalen Brunson. Jalen Brunson is not the problem here. He's
gonna have thirty plus to play the point prop over
on Jalen Brunson, Okay, and you will win. He goes
thirty every single game, I mean, and the fact that
he's just printing thirties against Aaron Neismith is ridiculous. And

(27:48):
nobody's talking about that enough. So he's gonna get his
you know, all the other guy og and Bridges, they're
gonna score from fifteen to twenty, all that kind of stuff. Right,
Heart's gonna flat with a triple double. Ken New York
get stops, guys, because they have not been able to
do that Indiana. In Game four, Barrom is Indy five hundred. Man,
it was a high scoring game. They scored a million points.

(28:10):
New York just could not get a freaking stop. Otherwise
they might have won that game. So I don't see
them getting stops tomorrow. I think Indiana is going to
get back.

Speaker 9 (28:17):
To their face.

Speaker 10 (28:17):
They're going to inflict their will, and they're going to
beat the Knicks.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
I'm with you and Rick, you cover also the w NBA.
We do have now the Caitlin clar update right now
for the.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
I'm sorry, Rick, wait what wait?

Speaker 1 (28:44):
What what that? Those were the WNBA ratings.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Now that Caitlyn's yes, she's missing time, how big of
a blow.

Speaker 10 (28:54):
Is that for the w n B A I mean,
I don't. I don't think it's a blow at all.
I think the w NBA rocks.

Speaker 9 (29:01):
I watch it.

Speaker 10 (29:01):
I'm in seven fantasy leagues. I'm locked in. I'm not
watching it tonight. I'm actually I'm partying guys.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
To be nice right now.

Speaker 9 (29:08):
Nice, I'm on the beach.

Speaker 10 (29:10):
But but you know, I watched the WNBA played fantasy.

Speaker 9 (29:13):
I'm lockdown.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
I've got seven fantasy leagues for the WNBA. Really, you
got seven fantasy leagues for the WNBA.

Speaker 10 (29:21):
That's correct.

Speaker 9 (29:22):
I'm insane.

Speaker 10 (29:22):
I've got like eleven baseballs. I'll have like fifteen nbas. Yeah,
it's a lifestyle bro Okay.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Got you, Rick, No, that's Rick. I'm concerned. That's Rick.
We're about to see you to a fantasy anonymous Rick
at this point, that's insane. Are you kidding me? Rick?
My gosh, I didn't think they were that many leagues.
That is ridiculous there, Well, hey, go party, go enjoy
that rig. You're taking a little time with us, Yeah,
clearly taking time away from your fantasy leagues. Well, we'll

(29:49):
we appreciate it.

Speaker 10 (29:51):
No, it's all good fellas, Rob and Robert. Man, I've
been with you guys a long long time.

Speaker 9 (29:55):
Man. It's always a yes for you guys.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Man. We appreciate that. We do. Thank you so much.
Ting about the week, he's actually paying attention everything. He's
looking at his phone doing one of his fantasy leagues. Yes,
he's doing the fantasy league.

Speaker 9 (30:04):
I know.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Oh shoot, Rick Candler, right, why you're gonna apologize for
me just because I you know, got my little thing
going on.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Alex laughed, right.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I just really don't think you're gonna make the six
piece the six years. So I'm taking a prop better drink.
Did you see this sprite with iced tea? Is there
a new drink sprite with ice commercial? It was?

Speaker 3 (30:33):
They just showed a picture of it at the ballpark.
I haven't seen anything about that. Okay, No, I might
see a little bit later. I'm going to the ballpark later.
We'll talk about that.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
What do you mean you go up? Rob G?

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Unbelievable? No, Rob G, unbelievable. You are not going to
the Dodgers Yankees? You are not?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
And o T he got the sight? Rob G? What?

Speaker 4 (30:57):
And he's holding out on us?

Speaker 1 (30:59):
There's more to the robbery?

Speaker 5 (31:01):
What I We'll share it with you.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (31:03):

day befirst, we got to do Shekel City.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Welcome to Shekel City. The whole base for Rob Parker's day.
Dix against the spread.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
All right, still over five hundred despite going one and
two last night.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
One four and one forty three.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Here we go, Mets playing the awful Arizona Diamondbacks, and
I got the Mets minus two and a half runs,
which is a lot, but that's how bad the d
Backs are. Most baseball games are one and a half runs.
This is two and a half runs.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Padres minus one and a half runs taking on the
Pirates in San Diego, and I got the Diamondbacks minus
one and a half runs taking on the Nationals who
blew them out last night.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
So I'm expecting a bounce back again.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Diamondbacks minus one and a half, Padres minus one and
a half and the New York Metropolitans minus two and
a half. And remember, Calvin, I'm not telling you who
to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
A right. Uh, let's get it too, because we'll carry
that conversation we were just having before the breakover into this

game five.

You're gonna because Robbie can't go. No, no, no no that.

Speaker 5 (35:08):

So say you just want to be Alex joined me.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
You just gotta see.

Speaker 7 (35:36):

Speaker 1 (35:39):

You don't have to stay for that show.

Speaker 7 (35:43):
I don't put it.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
On all the pie. These guys, guys. Six years, six years,
we're trying to make it.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
I'm believable.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
You're not gonna make it, not like this, not when
you're blocked.

Speaker 7 (35:56):
You know what, Rob, least you and I can make
it six years.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
We will make it six Rob, Rob Parker, wait a minute,
you're going Saturday and Sunday. Yes, I'm working. I got
I got a website to feed.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Seventy eight percent of the black players are playing in
that game.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Hey, Rob, g you're right. When I think about it,
between Mookie and Aaron Judge, he's gonna have the rest
of the year content, bro, it's good for the year whatever.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
The Yankees have like six black players. I hate to
break it.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
To you, African American. Yes, a cover, that's all we cover.
Who's old boy with the nineteen seventy eight eighty two mustache? Again? Christom?
He's black? Yeah, I know, Grisom, Yeah, shout to Grissom.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Yeah, I'll be there tonight, Marcus Stroman. I could keep
going on, Stanton. They got like six black players the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
But anyway, all right, all right, rob G, we know
where ahead, rob G, rob G.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Rob G cannot do anything that's not scheduled six.

Speaker 5 (36:56):
Weeks in advance. White, I ain't making it.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
Like like rob G would go to the game, say
like I'm a I'm gonna leave right after go to
the game or whatever, and then when he went home
the door would be locked in.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Am I right? Like you wouldn't be able to Okay,
but here's the thing. Where are you going to a game?
You got two kids? I'm here. You can't just go
to a game. You're married? Now how many times? G,
don't worry about it. We'll get to us a weekend
one where I'll know in advance. But uh, this one
was very like I was literally on the phone robb
G when it when it happened. But I will say

(37:30):
when it comes to you know, whether it be Lakers
or Dodgers, rob G, you might have to tell look, babe,
look k Dove's on the show now. He just gets
random tickets sometime, Like you gotta be nimble with your boy.
Let your boy get out once, just on a nimble
a bay, I'm not coming home.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
When was the last time you didn't go straight home?
I'm serious, Like it's like the first year we started
working together.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Finally, like, well you didn't.

Speaker 5 (37:53):
That was before the baby was the first one was born.

Speaker 6 (37:56):
And I think you want to man up. Yes, no,
I just texted him, pulling the curtain back. My wife
is getting her hair done. She's seen her friends tonight.
So that's why I have the girl solo, which is
why I can't go anywhere once once I plan a
boy's trip to Vegas with my brother's coming up in August.
She's had like four or five things like boy, you're
going to Vegas in August.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
So I'm doing this. I'm doing that. Tell her, Tell
her relationships shouldn't be Tip for tet by the way
I'm saying all this while my wife she just left
the house, So I'm okay, it's okay, I'm safe. That's
what I said.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
When I was married, I'd be like, can I get
a massage?

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Are you gonna give me a massage? I'm like, I'm
getting nasma. You only want one because I want one?
Are you gonna give me one? Now? You know why
I'm divorced, so you're standing me up, both of you.
The robs are standing me up. Man, y'all don't want
to go with me. You didn't bump God in
