Speaker 4 (02:13):
That would be crazy man an empty fridge space.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Now that would be Maybe they'd be the opposite. Maybe
they would be the true acab, like maybe the one
twin would have food.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You're right about that. No food my fridge?

Speaker 5 (02:24):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Is there food?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
It's you're paying for cold air, right Robber. You don't
ever say I got money. Rob Parker got extra money.
He just pays for cold air.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
What what do you want me to do with? Buy food?
I'm not food. I'm not buying food. Buy fish Tonight
when I stop all on my way home, I'll buy
two pieces of fish. I'll bake it, I'll eat it
with a little spinach. All I have a refrigerator right
now is leftover spinach that I'm eating the last two days.
So I have spinach and two pieces of tilapia with

(02:58):
a little gallic butter and a little side salad with
some ranch or Caesars. Dresser, you cannot be any healthier
than that.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
No, we're not saying that. But go ahead and get
some more tilapia.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
See the short I have on today?

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Al incredible, man, you are felt, Rob, You are felt.
Look at your pants down on your knees. Thought I
thought you was a rapper for a minute, the way
your pants were sacking. Put your pants up.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Boys.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Hey, I almost had to go Bill Cosby on you.
That's a problem with your people down he Come.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
On now, take care of your kids. Take care of
your kids. Go to jail. But go ahead. But I
might slip something in your drink, but don't worry about it.
Don't worry about I mean on you. You're doing Bill
Cosby's house too. I had a drink and I woke
up this role. Now, wake up, Rob. Now I learned something.
It wasn't me, it was you. Unbelievable now that that
was what I was at time, Bill Cosby. I'm that serious.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Prior to all this stuff you're saying when he was
he was yeah, this tour he was really you have
talked about that a little bit off air, like people
act as if black folk have to be a monolivet
like you, like this is exactly how you mean. Some
people can be a little more he be hobby pants acting.
I don't mean that bad person, and some people can
be tucked in and buttoned up.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Everybody's different because that's the way other races are, and
we have to.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
We gotta be the only one that you and if
one black person does something, you're ruining it for all
the fat boy. Let me tell you about my white
friends who don't think twice about when it's something when
a white guy does something on the news, got.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Nothing to do with me.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
They're like, mane going to Buffalo wildwey, No, but wait,
the white guy did something on TV. Right, Okay, okay,
but no, you don't feel your whole tire races looked
down at all the same.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
That's why you got one cookout you go to and
that's it.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Whatever one wow, and that's the new by the way,
that's been the new cookout. I've been seeing that because
all the protests happening here. When somebody sticks up for
they like, you know, it's taking up for the Latino community.
They're like, you're invited to the casada. I'm like, all right,
cookouts and card is what we got.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
I'm gonna just say one thing, rob G. I'm gonna
say one thing to Rob G and to you. No, no, no,
don't be nervous. Okay, racist. No, I didn't even say anything.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Boy, we are fortune tellers. We know what's coming.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
So are you only looking for immigrants in one place?
Is that the Is there a northern border? I'm just asking,
is anybody coming from the north they look a certain
particular way or across the pond. I'm just asking, we
want to know.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I just I'm saying because I don't made me get away,
just certain. When we had other refugees who had to
come here from European places, there was come on in crazy,
when Haitian's got to come up in here, they turned
the boat return, they hit you hit uie.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, the UNEP going go back.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
You ain't listen, you ain't wrong when you're right crazy?

Speaker 2 (05:42):
All right, what a show we have for you today?
A lot of stuff to get to NBA Finals Game
number three, series tied one one. But first, let's welcome
in the odd couple crew, because you wouldn't be able
to do this fine radio program without them. Rob g
is our producer, Alex is our engineer. Monty Bilos is

(06:02):
at the update desk.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Yeah, yeah, a lot.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I ever heard of them. Of them was our social
media guru, the best in the business. I don't heard
of so much. Our sound. Elijah's working socer soccer.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
If you listened for an hour, If you're listening, you
better text my phone. I need to check in and
know you're alive.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Soccer.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
He's doing all right. It's my hip hop buddy. We
bonded over food and hip hop.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
But I will say one thing and then we'll get
into uh this uh fine program, Get into the show. Yeah.
Uh are you still on the same thing about the
Marcus Cousin. You saw what happened to DeMarcus Cousin today, right, Yeah,
they let him go. Okay. I'm just want to make
sure that going into this, that's the risk got taken. Brother. Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I just sometimes in life you have to make a sacrifice.
All the people, do what you gotta do and you
gotta do what you gotta do, and all the.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
People like, oh, yeah, I'm going I'm going to this. Okay,
robb G, you with me? No, rob G, you want
your loot?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
No?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, buck? If you buck, sometimes you to knock somebody
out and you could play that. Hey, you know what.
I hope he brings his boom box playing that to
the unemployment line, because that's where DeMarcus causing making eleven
ninety eight an hour. I don't care what he was making.
He out of work, then you can't go to the
stairs and.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I get more money on Gil's Gilerina, Gilbert Abrinas's podcast
wherever he wants go on.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
To stand fighting people stop it.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I can't can't wait till October sixth when somebody smashes
a cheesecake the way Nancy Lieberman smashed that high in
your face.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Yeah, so I retweeted it too. After she beat me
in a basketball get I was so I lived through her.
I was like, Oh, that's what it would feel like.
Is that what you want? You want to do?

Speaker 6 (07:44):
That?

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Unbelievable? All right, rob G. We do have some news
of the day concerning the New York Nikobockers.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
I mean, we do, but that's not what we're talking
about here. That's later on Shoe, I have a ok C,
what do you have?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Don't have a Don't I have a sheet?

Speaker 5 (08:01):
I mean, Min's right here. It says, okay, s better
win this ring Cordion Dolph Parker.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
This is what you call. This is yesterday.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Oh see, way to go, Ralph.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
But anyways, news is today my fault because I thought
I had a printed out sheet all the show. That's
what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Game three tipping off in about ninety minutes from now.
OKC versus the Indiana Pacers series all tied up at
one in Indiana, and even though Indiana is at home tonight,
Indiana stole home court for the series. According to all
the sports books, all the pundits, OKC is still favored
tonight by I believe five and a half points and

(08:39):
heavily favored to win the series and win the NBA Finals.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I got a message for them, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
I would love to well couple that. Rob. The last
time we saw a team that was heavily favored in
the NBA Finals, and like OKC, was viewed as this
is going to be the team to beat for the
foreseeable future was last season's champion, the Boston Celtics. Flash
forward to Wednesday morning, Sean Sharani are making the rounds

(09:07):
there on ESPN. He said, you know what quote essentially
everybody not named Jason Tatum is available for trade this offseason.
So that wide window in Boston that we thought existed
maybe slamming shut prematurely.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
And this is why if you're Okasee and you're on
a COSP but maybe winning a championship, you gotta close
the deal, like you think. If we don't do it
this year, we got a young team that things happen.
Ask the Phoenix Suns who were up to oh in

(09:43):
an NBA final. Where are they now? Look at where
they are? How many years ago was that rob g
everybody out for right? But they were. They were crowning everybody.
Chris Paul is one of the top three point guards.
Devin Booker, Kobe is the new Kobe Bryant. Have you
heard that lately? No? Who? When you know Giannis when

(10:09):
he won he remember he won the MVP, a couple
of MVPs, then they won a championship. Op Chris Middleton
and Brook Lopez and all that it all fits together
and all the stuff to get a team. Who in
the East is gonna stop y'ad? Okay, well they won
their one championship and now look where they are, could
possibly be traded. You look at Denver had all the

(10:34):
pieces to go along with the big superstar, the best
player on the planet, the walking triple double, all the
good stuff, Jamal Murray not an all star, but a
good robin. You got a really good coach, Mike Malone.
You had everything in place. Been a couple of years
now for them, and now as we know, we're gonna
have because no matter who wins or whin, the Pacers

(10:55):
winning six will be seven different champions and seven years.
It ain't that automatic. And you can't pass up to me.
Okayc is an injury away from not being able to
get there again, having to pay, starting to pay people
who are now going to get cashed out. That's what
happened in Denver. You can't hold onto your bench. Guys

(11:18):
want to make their money. It's nice, I got a ring.
I'm not sitting around here. Oh don't you want to
win again? Don't you want to take a home team discount?

Speaker 3 (11:25):
No?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
I don't I have a ring in my back pocket.
So I do believe like this is their window. It
could be a one off. It really could be, And
there's a chance that the West could get better. Luca's
playing for money for a new contract. He gets in shape.
Lebron pays two million dollars to keep itself in shape

(11:47):
or whatever it is instead of a million dollars. You
know what I mean, You're just up in a little bit.
Maybe the Spurs get KD now in the West, you
got a way better team, right.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
And man, you still got that the West and Man
ain't going nowhere. I'm just this Memphis making moves a lot,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
So that's why this is imperative for them to win
the championship this year.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
I completely agree with you. I think it's I know, man.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I'm stuck. People think they got the wrong radio show.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Hold on, go turn, I still gotta pivot coming. No,
I agree with you. That's why you want to win
this thing now. And I think what I what I
will say, Rob, is maybe you're leaving short the last
two years, meaning the last two years they won forty games.
You're like, all right, this little okay, See, remember we
thought they were gonna just bottom out, and they never

(12:38):
bottomed out. And then last year they went fifty seven games,
they were like, oh shoot, look at them. So to me,
that's when they started to get in that window. You
win in fifty seven games, you got a guy who's
a running up for MVP.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
You're in. You're in this thing now. But the Suns
go look at their records. I'm just saying, I'm gonna try.
The Suns were winning a lot of games, one that
went to the championship. But I'm just saying they couldn't suspend.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I'm gonna tell you why. I think it's a little
bit different. So then now after fifty seven games this year,
you go to sixty eight franchise record, and you've had
some heck of a players the last fifteen years. Franchise record,
you have an all time defense, you have an all
time different point differential, and you have the MVP and
who is continuing now to do MVP like things. Throughout
the playoffs and now into the finals. You got emerging

(13:22):
stars in Jalen Williams, J. Dub And and Chet Holmgren.
You have an amazing defense, and you have Sam Presty
who's continued this Now. I want to go back to
the Celtics for a minute. If the Celtics say they
never went again, right, they just they never went again.
They're good, but they never went again. I would say
they had a run. Then they had a two thousand
and four piston like run. They made it to five
I believe it's five Eastern Conference finals. They made it

(13:44):
to two finals appearances, they won one, they lost one
to the Warriors.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Oh no, you're being con because I think people would
look and say they left some meat on the bone,
like you can't have it like this. This is where
I push back. Is no good for Aaron Rodgers to
win one Super Bowl? Right? Some people all they should
have won more. You can't look at that Celtics team
to tell me that if they don't win again, people

(14:10):
in Boston would be cool, because that's what I'm saying,
And that's what I'm saying the same thing with Denver
Mike Belowe, what do you do? He only won once?
So which one is it? I'm not gonna tell you.
Here's my point.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
That's why that the reason why I buy into it
is because they will have gone to at least two finals.
They won, won, they lost the words, they stayed in
the Eastern Conference finals regularly. The difference with Denver is
they kind of just emerged one and then they had
a Western Conference I went to the Western CONERGCE final
on the bubble, I should say, a couple of years later.
They two three years later they win one and we
haven't heard from him again. So to me, the Celtics,

(14:42):
they went to sevent same game seven twice and two
years in a row. Just about the Nuggets, Yes, but
I'm saying they've just.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Saying you didn't hear from they went the game seven,
that's what that's game seven. They didn't get to the
Western Conerge finals.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
And I'm saying the difference is with that Pistons team,
they stayed in the Eastern Conference finals, they won and
oh four, they go back to the finals to a
game seven, and then they went to the Eastern College
Finals another time or two.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
But there are people whould also believe that won another one.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
And that's fine, but I'm saying that window was there
to me. So if you're the Celtics, they can say, man,
we had a run. We had five Eastern College Final
appears two finals appearances, we won one, We had a
finals MVP. Our guys were all NBA players. We had
a run. And to me, okay, se can minimally hopefully
and look at it as that run where we get
to a couple of finals in five years. We went

(15:28):
a bunch of Western College finals peers, We got an
MVP or two. To me, that can be the window.
They have the youth, the second youngest team. I believe
they have the same. Sam Presty has been spectacular throughout
his tenure there, and they got a guy that say,
who ain't going nowhere? So to me, they've just opened
the window. And I believe they have sustainability to have them.
Not saying they go back to the finals next year,

(15:48):
but they can go two or three times in five
or six years.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I'm not saying we had a good run. I think
this could really be a one off. I don't think
too young. I think some of the other teams, other
teams being getting better that that what if the Lakers
make a move and they get see if they wind
up getting some of the all right, eight seven seven

(16:11):
ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine to
six sixty three sixty nine, how much pressure is it
on the thunder to win this championship? Is their window
really wide open as people like Kelvin think or not?
We'll continue that conversation next with you. It is the
Odd Couple on a worship Wednesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington

(16:31):
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Stick and stay.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
To find out if there's really two round Parkers in
the US event.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Oh I'm looking.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
You Boys' ste Couple, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington on a
worship Wednesday. Do you want to drop to your knees,
hey man, praise the Lord?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Indeed?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
And uh, we are of course ready for a new job. Well,
let Express Employment professionals help you do that. While Express
helps people in all industries fine work, the sweet spot
is logistic roles and Express never charged job seekers of fees.
So go to expresspros dot com. Rob and I talking
about the window? Could it be open? Do they need
to capitalize on the moment? Because you never know? Talking

(17:21):
about the thunder taking your calls A seven seven ninety
nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Who we got Let's start with Drew in New Jersey.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drew? Hey, guys,
I think they can definitely rout it off a couple more.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
I trust them in game a couple more.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Have they won a championship already?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Okay, I think they're about to win this one. Okay.
I'm just want to make sure having a game seven
more than I try. They thought the Suns were gonna
win the championship two when they were up to well,
I'm just want to make sure we get to that.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
I mean, we've all been we've all been wrong with
champions pour guys.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
And how have you been for the Nuggets and the Clippers.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
I'm good, I got it all right, Drew. I don't
think I've ever missed one.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Yeah, and I'm a New Jersey guy. I'm a Jersey guy.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
You know that is funny. Love the show. No, appreciate it, Drew,
appreciate you. Yeah, you know I'm with Drew and that.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
I mean, I don't know the total, but I think
they're in a window where they can get back to
the finals a couple of times, and you know, once
you get there, it is what it is. You win,
you lose. But I think they can have a similar
to that O four Pistons run where they were good
for about five six years. The Celtics were good for
the last five or six years. I think they had
the making of that. If you ask me, all right, Lebron,

(18:39):
he's been potting a lot since Obviously he's ain't in
the NBA playoffs right now. He said, some more things
we got to get to right now. It's Monty Bilanos
is going to give a set on what's trending Montek.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
All Right, Lebron James having a conversation based on his
mind the Game podcast. He and Steve National conversation was
around just the okayse and Indiana patients being in this
finals and have the same conversation. Me and You've had
a couple of times about market sizes and what role
they play as far as fandom and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Here's what Lebron had to say, How do you feel
about this small market comments? And like, where does this
come from? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
I don't know where it comes from, because I mean,
I listen, I played in Cleveland for eleven years and
we were a small market, you know, so until I
got there, they became a big market. But I don't know.
I just think that I think it's all about just
the storylines. It's about what people can say on TV
and create these you know, Superman versus Batman, or DC

(19:48):
Comics versus you know, Marvel. Like when it comes to
the game of basketball, it doesn't matter who's representing who.
It's about two great teams, right you know, And we talked,
we talked previously in a lot of our episodes about
you know, we praise a lot of individuals, and rightfully so.
We have unbelievable individuals in our sport over the years

(20:10):
have done great things and have put themselves in position
to be talked about.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
I get it.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
But one thing we cannot disrespect is great teams. You know,
we have this Indiana OKAC situation, and these are two
great teams. And if you are a basketball fan and
you really love our game and you can learn so
much from watching the way those both of those teams play.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Rob they got it right at the beginning.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
None of what I mean is no, you're right, we
need storylines, we want superstars, we want juicy things to
talk about in the see and discuss. And you can't
call you can't say the market size, right, Cleveland is
a small market. But Cleveland had a superstar and you
for eleven years, right, So then yes they're small by
size the market. But everybody in the country wants to

(20:57):
watch because they either love Lebron and they hate Lebron,
but they're watching. And so to me, you absolutely have
to have stars, and I don't. It can be a
small market if you have a star or a star
masterful storyline. You absolutely need those.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
But but what I will push back and just to
have Steve Nash there agree with everything he says, Like
there's no, no, there's no conversation. Where's the con Can
we have a conversation?

Speaker 1 (21:21):
You know what, Alex, he's no longer the pool pool king.
I mean you are the pushback king.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
I mean that's king. I'm the pushback king. No. My
thing is like you could have a conversation. Do you
understand what we're having a conversation. It's right to coach
sign everything I talk about all the time with the shop,
What barber shop? Are you going to?

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Come on?

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Man? Everybody sitting around drinking wine and agreeing with everything
that Rich Paul or Lebron says, is that a barber
shop that's not a barber shop you walk in is
going down? What you got tonightac? Oh, yeah, Brin, you're right,
and yeah, the patients And here's the thing. Whatever people

(22:05):
can say on television, no, when the news comes out
that is the lowest rated game one of the NBA
Finals in night. That's not made up. Those are facts.
You could dispute whether you want to talk about them
or not, but those are facts. Just like if they
were the highest rated since they started keeping track covered,

(22:26):
you know what they would be doing, dancing a jig. Hey,
look at the ratings. Oh my god, the NBA just
like this past year, remember them the start of the
season when the ratings were down forty percent. That is
a story forty percent. Stop. Those are tangible, real numbers.
You cannot act like people are making up a storyline

(22:49):
just to have something to say. If the numbers were
the decent or comparable last year, there is no story,
There is no conversation. If they're comparable of last year,
nobody's talking about it. They're the lowis not the second
to the lowest on the fifth to them And they
went back down.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Yeah, I mean game two and got better. It went reverse.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
After a great game one finish, it went down. Come on, man,
stop acting as if people are making up storylines.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
And then that's why I said to me, they already
know the answer in their own question and conversation. He
answered it, Lebron because the minute he starts going, I mean,
you know they are small. It doesn't matter about small market.
And then he was I was in the small market.
What's the first thing, Steve na says, until you got there?
Meaning you made it a big market now because everybody
you're on every major you know game, Thursday night game

(23:37):
or Christmas game. The Calves were on, and you go
to the finals. Everybody wants to see the Calves Warriors
for those years, or the Heatles.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
But but, but we have plenty of examples of the
smaller markets that just don't. The New Jersey nets, No
people in New York did not care about the Nets. Okay,
that's why they moved to Brooklyn. Okay, they didn't move
to Brooklyn just because they didn't get the They didn't
get the same you know, uh a chansonship people were.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
They were the Knicks, right right, don might as well
go to Brooks to start a whole new thing the
Brooklyn get.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Right, Yeah, okay, And the same thing with the Spurs.
All they did was win. Okay, Tim Duncan not the
most flashy or whatever, but but they were winning franchise.
They had something going. Oh Pop's a great coach. Uh
who else? Gernobili was an exciting player, right, and and
the point guard Tony Parker and Tony Parker like like

(24:32):
they had a squad and people didn't watch them. That's
all I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
No, I think when that's why to me, you have
an opportunity, Like you look at those Reggie Miller Pacers,
because Reggie Miller was a star. People want to watch him.
You know, he was exciting. You never knew what you're
gonna see, You never knew what you were gonna get.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
He didn't win at the rate of the Spurs, obviously,
but he was exciting. I think if you get the
exciting person, like all of a sudden, let's say it
was let's say it was exact same teams. There were
the Pacers, but they had Steph Curry instead of Tyree's Halliburn, Right,
you'd watch everybody be going crazy, Oh shoot, because they
have a superstar in Steph. So I think market size
does determine things if you don't have a mega superstar

(25:09):
or a super or something dynastic type of team. Otherwise,
it absolutely matters. If you have just good players and
a good team in a small market, it absolutely matters.
But if you have superstars or you have a great storyline,
you're chasing history. If you're the Warriors, can they win
seventy three and win the championship and the Prodigal Sun
or you know, the chosen One in Lebron with the Cats,

(25:31):
I mean, you can have these storylines that make it compelling.
There just really isn't a storyline right now. And no
team has a mega star. They have really good players,
very good players in SGA and a really good one
in Tyree's having.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
But I'm just saying when Lebron says that, if Steve
Nash just said, well, but Lebron, I hear you, it's
the lowest rated since they started keeping track since nineteen
eighty eight. Just give me a little can can you
respond to that Lebron is mixing up? And this is
what I was telling Rob g earlier.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Lebron is looking at it because he is a basketball
savann and he loves hoops and he can have his
glass of wine in his short shorts and watch it
with Steve Nash and they can talk hoops. And I
get it. That's his that is his jam. And we've
talked about it. This series is for as a guy.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Fine, and you could do all that, but don't act
like people are making up something.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
This just isn't compelling to most people. I texted in
our text group check. This is the first time of
my history of me remembering in my adult life, teenage
life to the even adolessent twelve year old life not
getting a call. Obviously, we didn't have text message then,
or text message or something about an NBA series one
way or the other. Right who this game is crazy, yo.

(26:39):
He gets on my nerves. Men and refs are tripping. Man,
what a shot. I've not received any text from about
the NBA Finals, and that is crazy. It's never happened
in my life, and that is very telling as to
what this what the situation is that it's all I'm saying,
and it's not a made up thing. And I'm with
you on that. This isn't life like.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
We're all wrong, We're all yeah, we're all missing, and
I don't know what they're talking about and this small
market thing and all that kind of stuff. I just
that Rob g was a game two. Game two was
even in baseball has the same issues with certain teams
and whatnot. Arizona and the Rangers, Arlington, Texas right down,
it's out Dallas, right, small market, smaller markets team. Even

(27:23):
that World Series did better than this finals.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Yeah, seriously, this one, dude, for real. I think the
Kayln Clark without Kaitlyn Clark game did better than this.
If I ain't tripping Shuckle City on the way, we'll
see how Robb is The I Couple, Rod Parker Kevin

I know, Rod, fifty seven and one three.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I was man Vegas is up and down roller coaster ride.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
And tonight best bet. I'm taking the Pacers at home
plus five and a half to win the game. Rob,
g you got that on tape.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Right, So you're the game one for Shekel to win
the game.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
If you know why, Alex, because we're going back to
where Indiana. We're going back to Indiana, Wendyana here we come.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Hey, Rogerie, they better win another game. We don't ever
hear it again.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
You play to win the gate. That's right. We're going
back to Indiana Minnesota minus one and a half taking
on the Rangers in Minneapolis, and I'm taking the Astros
to bounce back. They lost to the White Sox last night.
But the Houston minus one and a half runs at
home against the White Sox Minnesota minus one and a

(29:22):
half at home against the Rangers who scored a million
runs yesterday, and the Indiana Pacers plus five and a half,
we won't even need the five and a half, Alex.
You know why Why Because they're gonna win the game.
I can't tell you need to win the gate.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I can't tell you about your baseball picks, but I
tell you ow one on the second seity.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
I'm always on one, you know, in one, I always
come in on one. I'm just saying, you got a
tissue for me?

Speaker 5 (29:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Please? All right? You know I sound like Donald Sterling there,
rob G. Is that not trading me? You got a
tissue for me? Doesn't he sound like that Donald Sterling.
I don't know what they're talking about, just because I
didn't like, I mean similarity, having rent places about me
and Donald Sterling.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
You don't like black people and you like young girls.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
That's so messed up, Robgie.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
I didn't know sitting next to Towns and both Robbie,
they both don't like the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Wait a minute, am I doing radio with Donald Sterling?

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Just remember, rob G, it's as signed ways id. It's
not for me.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Oh god, hey, Alex, I ain't gonna lie when you
do that. That is hilarious. I tried to explain it.
I mixed its a Alex be like if it's up
and deciding down, it's it's a frown. They'd be like,
you you messed the whole joke up, Dub dub. You
messed it up.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Unbelievable, Donald Sterling. That is for the remainder of today. Today,
we saw you always say that Rob that I didn't
like black quarterbacks because I wasn't on board. That's not true, true,
but you always have your you're token that one la,
Rob G. Nobody don't thinks Lamar Jackson is better than
I do. You gotta you're racist. I have black friends.

(31:13):
You gotta have.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
The one black guy on the show that don't make sense,
like one some lady and one black friend.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Who knew Donald Sterling. That's that's that's you could tell
because you could see I have a diaper on.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
I'm crying right now, yo, oh man, I did not know, Rob,
I was unaware.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
That makes so much more sense. Now you're disdained for
the Lakers. You love young younger women. You don't like
black folks.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
You want to matter, Just don't bring with them my games.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
She got on big goggles.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Big goggles too, worth a bunch of money, But your
cheat worth a bunch of money. But Rob, g this
is done. Figured it out. Robert Sterling is your new junior.

Speaker 2 (32:01):

your tire reck play of the Day.

Speaker 4 (32:10):

one hold on kid.

Speaker 1 (32:14):

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Why do you make that face? Man, you don't want
to celebrate Andrew McCutcheon. No, no, no, Andrew mccutchey, he's
an MLB brood with that. That was a little over
the top for the celebration. Wasn't that over the top?
Why he is third place?

Speaker 5 (33:14):
He's not thirst Okay, pulled back the curtain. You know
how many obscure black baseball players that we have celebrated
on the inside the Parker podcasts quiet. I don't know
who half these dudes are, but I'm like, yeah, I
bet you he's great.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Matter of fact, don't forget about the podcast drop that's right,
tune in. He got a good point.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
It's gonna be somebody you never heard of that's going
to be dropping knowledge.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
No, no, no, Andrew McCutchen is one we all have heard
of who's had a really, really, really good career. We
can't celebrate them now. I'm not gonna lie that. The
celebration made me think he had about three hundred and
ninety eight of them.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
It just sounded like it was pretty over the top.

Speaker 5 (33:47):
Let me tell you we've had Joe Adele on like
six times.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I kept trying to get him on Spectrum News one
and he might have heard me say, because I've said
this before, amazing talent, and I think the show would
be incredible because of the talent. She's very and foremost
she just talks, Hey, I gotta take my shoes off,
y'all my feet here. I love But like if you said,
dub we got to go to this ride to Vegas.
Pop in the Adele. You're gonna have to drive because
