should have been down way bigger than they were. They're
down at twelve at the half, and we looked at
that and I was like, I don't know if that

really with that many turnovers, should it have been at
that point? But I will say this, I am I
want to rename the Indiana Pacers.

a perfect example. I mean rob G had him getting swept.

my point is for real, and you know I picked
him in six. But I feel even better after that win.

They can only play better. They won't have twenty turns
away was in the first half, do you know what
I mean? Like, seriously, their clunker was in Game one
on the road in Oklahoma City and they won.

Nobody go look at the odds at one point, rob Ge,
what was it one in seventy five million that they

game that they won. You know, it almost impossible. And
I'm saying to you, we gotta look at this team
and there are teams of destiny. And that doesn't mean okay,

this to oh, well, Denver won game one in the
same fashion and they bounce back.

When the Celtics lost Game one, what everybody say, Oh,
they'll come back, just one game, they'll bounce back.

They lost Game two at home against the Knicks.

When the Knicks lost game won in the same fashion,
when they gave it up at the end fourteen points,
two minutes and thirty eight seconds. Okay, the Knicks will
get it together. They'll win game two. No, they did
not win game two. They fell behind two. I'm convinced
that the Windiana Pacers will win Game two at OKC.

And then this will be a six game series, kind
of like it was with the Knicks.

I do believe that because they didn't play their best
game and they got a w and I was ultimately
convinced before the series that they were gonna win it
in six games, And now I'm convinced this is a Destiny.
This is where they are supposed to be, because you

can't explain when a team plays like this.

So I get exactly what you mean. We've all watched
this postseason. It's been a very fun ride. They've had
some amazing historic comebacks. They keep beating the odds. But
here's where I would say I don't agree with the
team of Destiny, and that you could argue it's the
Oklahoma City Thunder. If you look at what the Oklahoma
City and Thunder have done over the last ten years.

Right that we know they get there some years ago.
They get there with obviously the MVPs, if you will,
James Harden Russell Westbrook KD. They do that, They had
a chance to do a three to one up on
the Warriors, they end up losing. That they've kind of
been going through the gault. Then they reconstructure, refigure this
thing out, and now here they are.

So a couple of years ago they get forty wins.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Then last year they get fifty seven wins and they
get bounced, and then this year they get sixty eight
them franchise record SGA last year runner up for the MVP,
this year gets the MVP.

They get all the way to the finals.

They have all types of records wherever you want to
go with the talk about the point differential, which is insane.
Right now at twelve point nine per game, they have
now the friend the record for sixty one wins between
the regular and postseason by double digits, which is absolutely crazy.

When they come off of losses this postseason, and they

I totally get what you meant. As far as it's
been fun watching this Pacer team, and they have been
exciting in him. And again we've all raised our hand
and said we slept on you. You heard Scott Van Pelt
say it to Tyre's Halliburn face, My bad dog, I
was late to the party. You and I've admitted no

one really talked about them, but you could say the
same thing for the Thunder. This has been coming from
the Kadie Westbrook experiment to the then hardened part of
the team to the losing in the finals.

They're trying to figure this out.

To the Westbrook MVP years, this has been a long
time coming to me, and to me now it looks
as if this is their season of destiny. And again
SGA loses MVP last year, gets it. This year they
get knocked out early.

They make it back to me, that's not a destiny,
Like seriously, like you talking about broken all that five
eight years ago. I don't know how that factors into
this team, like as a destiny.

This is making sense on the trajectory of winning. This
is exactly where they're supposed to be to win. So

two championships. We saw other teams that got it, got there,
stumbled in the finals, and then they finally break through.

a team of destiny, they weren't supposed to beat the

game coming down the wire and Indiana would hit pretty
much a buzzer beater. So the NBA has to be
happy that people go, maybe this is gonna be more
of a series than a thought, Maybe this is gonna
be competitive, maybe people will continue to tune in. So
they definitely looked out last point. For me, Rob, I
just am having a hard time going against the numbers
because all the numbers favor the thunder when you're talking defensively.

And last night was the perfect example in that all
the numbers were in favor of you know, when you

think you're one hundred percent right. This feels like a

say miracle on ice. It just seems like everything bounces
their way. They somehow find a way to win. Their
pop Low coach, and it just seems like they find
ways to win. And Kelvin, you mentioned that seventy five

by double digits. The problem is they don't play so
well in close games. If you could just keep it
close and get it down the stretch. They don't seem
really well prepared for that because they just don't play.

the loss of the Pacers, but they don't want to

stick with Indiana's guards to make it difficult for them.

Was it just he wore out as welcome? Was it
the way he grinds the players? All that has come out,

gets a little weird because Leon Rose, it's his agent,
but he's also former agent of other those players, and
it gets really mixed up because you start to get
some personal things in there because one of the assistant
coaches is Rick Brunson, who is Jalen Brunson's dad, who

But on the flip side, Karl Anthony Towns, we heard
the reports say he was called out multiple times during
this postseason by the team, especially in his last series
where he was called out for his defensive efforts.

They had to have team players.

Only meetings multiple times, and Carl Anthony Towns, by the way,
had been benched in critical moments critical games by TIBs,
didn't play big minutes in the fourth quarter of a.

Time or two. So it just gets a little weird
on why that guy's out of there.

I'm not buying it though, and again it could simply
be the merit, but it's kind of weird that Again,
I think in playoff wins, most the furthest you've gotten
in twenty five years.

It doesn't matter.

I just think it's easy to want to point the
finger at cat or pointed out a player because it
doesn't make sense to me if Jalen Brunson has some cachet, right,
he was on the podium, He's the one saying yes,
his dad's on Tom Thibodeau's coaching staff. Like there's all

this stuff. Leon Rose used to be the TIBs agent agent,
Like you know, all right, he might be Cat's agent,
but he was also Tom's agent, you know what I mean.
So I'm not buying that. I still deep down and
I'm not saying that. There's some criticism of tips, you
know in the exit interviews. You know, it's important. People
want to know what's going on. Come on, put it
all on the table, tell me what you know, your

thoughts and whatnot. But the bottom line remains, after they
beat the Celtics, that franchise was starving to go to
the NBA Finals.

I mean, really, twenty five years.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Would have had a chance to win a championship for
the first time since nineteen seventy three. Like there's a
lot of stuff there, and they felt like they lose
the first game, then you would bounce back win game two.
You know, No, they lose that game and then he
doesn't play the bench until he almost was forced to.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
It was too late. When he started playing the bench.
It was too late. Series was over, and I'm just
saying a lot of that.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
Stuff piled up and people were like, I think the
organization was like, we were supposed to go to the finals.

He didn't get it done, and we're not. We're not
gonna accept this.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
So that last part, just right, that last point for
you is a more minor point for me. I do think,
you know, you're like, hey, you kind of got out
coached by Rick Carlisle and and now we're not going
to find it. I do think that maybe a smaller part.
I think the bigger parts for me are a couple
of things. One, we didn't see many adjustments from him
throughout the postseason, including that playoff series against the Pistons.

There wasn't.

It was just they just you didn't feel We're like, Okay,
you're the better team, we're the more experiencing, we should
dominate them.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
It was always just But I don't I don't like,
I don't think they're going back to the po But
this is what I'm saying.

I think it's so multiple. I think it's a multitude
of things. I go back to mckal bridges. When you
have players coming out who is the literal iron man
of the NBA. He's played more minutes than anybody's never
missed a game, and he himself comes out and say, Yo,
we need to break you. Gotta stop playing this so much.
You gotta He goes public with this, like public, that's

kind of that's a huge indictment from a guy who's
an iron man who normally wouldn't say things like that.
And then you have the cat issues not playing them.
He's playing well at times, never seen. They got a
good jail with that. I think that does matter. And
I think Leon Rose being an agent does matter. Not
saying it's the final nail in the coffton, but I
think there's a bunch of toppings on that pizza where

you can add this, at this, at this, and then
finally lose.

He was he was agent for both part people involved, right.

But we know what ultimately matters is players. Unless you
have a Phil Jackson type of guy, righty, but if Rick, but.

If Jalen Brunton is your guy, right Seriously, who was
there before kat who got the thing going before they
brought him along?

And his dad is on Tipodeau stet. It just doesn't make.
That's what it doesn't make. Why those other pieces matter
to me?

If you got people going public, if you haven't spouts
with cat who we got and we're not getting rid
of this is just our guy now, and you obviously
didn't get it done against the Celtics. I think all
those things weigh, and now you get a position where
they're all right, we have enough cache, enough reasoning to
let him go. Because if you're his agent, if you're Tibbs,
you're saying, well, why would you let him go? Eleven

playoff wins more than anybody. You didn't get to where
you wanted to go. I mean, if I'm his agent,
I'm also saying, there's this guy Kelvin Washington who keeps
screaming they overachieved. And I know his co host Rod
Parker a degree, but not a single human being on
earth thought the Knicks were gonna win the playoff I
mean get to the States.

Yes, they did. Once they beat the Celtics.

There was a ton of people, including the Knicks front
office and ownership. That's what I'm trying to say, that
the expectations changed and when he didn't deliver.

We've seen it. I've seen it before. That's you know
what they did see it before. They underestimated the Pacers,
the same Pacers that demolished the Cavaliers who demolished the Knicks. No,
but they lost two homebody lost two home games.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
The Knicks lost two home games to start the chance
they started lost two. We're the adjustments. After you blow
game one. Now see if they win game two, then
you can make an argument. And the series went seven
in Indiana.

This whole postseason has been kookie, where teams keep losing
at home, keep teams that they're supposed to win don't.
We've seen more twenty point comebacks than we ever seen.

not being regional. It is because people in New York

into this, Like like I don't think I think a
lot of fans tune out when their teams get out

same fashion and they bounce back.

When the Knicks lost game won in the same fashion,
when they gave it up at the end fourteen points,
two minutes and thirty eight seconds. Okay, the Knicks will
get it together. They'll win game two. No, they did
not win game two. They fell behind two. I'm convinced
that the Windiana Pacers will win Game two at OKC.

And then this will be a six game series, kind
of like it was with the Knicks.

I do believe that because they didn't play their best
game and they got a w and I was ultimately
convinced before the series that they were gonna win it
in six games, And now I'm convinced this is a Destiny.

So I get exactly what you mean. We've all watched
this postseason. It's been a very fun ride. They've had
some amazing historic comebacks. They keep beating the odds. But
here's where I would say I don't agree with the
team of Destiny, and that you could argue it's the
Oklahoma City Thunder. If you look at what the Oklahoma
City and Thunder have done over the last ten years.

Right that we know they get there some years ago.
They get there with obviously the MVPs, if you will,
James Harden Russell Westbrook KD. They do that, They had
a chance to do a three to one up on
the Warriors, they end up losing. That they've kind of
been going through the gault. Then they reconstructure, refigure this
thing out, and now here they are.

So a couple of years ago they get forty wins.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Then last year they get fifty seven wins and they
get bounced, and then this year they get sixty eight
them franchise record SGA last year runner up for the MVP,
this year gets the MVP.

They get all the way to the finals.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
They have all types of records wherever you want to
go with the talk about the point differential, which is insane.
Right now at twelve point nine per game, they have
now the friend the record for sixty one wins between
the regular and postseason by double digits, which is absolutely crazy.

And you brought it up, and I'm gonna say it.
They're four and oh.

When they come off of losses this postseason, and they
the average margin of victory is twenty points. So to me,
I totally get what you meant. As far as it's
been fun watching this Pacer team, and they have been
exciting in him. And again we've all raised our hand
and said we slept on you. You heard Scott Van Pelt
say it to Tyre's Halliburn face, My bad dog, I
was late to the party. You and I've admitted no

one really talked about them, but you could say the
same thing for the Thunder. This has been coming from
the Kadie Westbrook experiment to the then hardened part of
the team to the losing in the finals.

They're trying to figure this out.

To the Westbrook MVP years, this has been a long
time coming to me, and to me now it looks
as if this is their season of destiny. And again
SGA loses MVP last year, gets it. This year they
get knocked out early.

They make it back to me, that's not a destiny,
Like seriously, like you talking about broken all that five
eight years ago. I don't know how that factors into
this team, like as a destiny.

This is making sense on the trajectory of winning. This
is exactly where they're supposed to be to win. So

Detroit Pistons lost to the Celtics before they won their
two championships. We saw other teams that got it, got there,
stumbled in the finals, and then they finally break through.

a team of destiny, they weren't supposed to beat the
box that that unbelievable come back.

game coming down the wire and Indiana would hit pretty
much a buzzer beater. So the NBA has to be
happy that people go, maybe this is gonna be more
of a series than a thought, Maybe this is gonna
be competitive, maybe people will continue to tune in. So
they definitely looked out last point. For me, Rob, I
just am having a hard time going against the numbers
because all the numbers favor the thunder when you're talking defensively.

their way. They somehow find a way to win. Their

well in close games. If you could just keep it
close and get it down the stretch. They don't seem
really well prepared for that because they just don't play.

the loss of the Pacers, but they don't want to
give him the players to execute his system. Okay, Oklahoma
City has the young lions to get up and to
stick with Indiana's guards to make it difficult for them.

But on the flip side, Karl Anthony Towns, we heard
the reports say he was called out multiple times during
this postseason by the team, especially in his last series
where he was called out for his defensive efforts.

They had to have team players.

Only meetings multiple times, and Carl Anthony Towns, by the way,
had been benched in critical moments critical games by TIBs,
didn't play big minutes in the fourth quarter of a.

Time or two. So it just gets a little weird
on why that guy's out of there.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
I'm not buying it though, and again it could simply
be the merit, but it's kind of weird that Again,
I think in playoff wins, most the furthest you've gotten
in twenty five years.

It doesn't matter.

I just think it's easy to want to point the
finger at cat or pointed out a player because it
doesn't make sense to me if Jalen Brunson has some cachet, right,
he was on the podium, He's the one saying yes,
his dad's on Tom Thibodeau's coaching staff. Like there's all

this stuff. Leon Rose used to be the TIBs agent agent,
Like you know, all right, he might be Cat's agent,
but he was also Tom's agent, you know what I mean.
So I'm not buying that. I still deep down and
I'm not saying that. There's some criticism of tips, you
know in the exit interviews. You know, it's important. People
want to know what's going on. Come on, put it
all on the table, tell me what you know, your

thoughts and whatnot. But the bottom line remains, after they
beat the Celtics, that franchise was starving to go to
the NBA Finals.

I mean, really, twenty five years.

Would have had a chance to win a championship for
the first time since nineteen seventy three. Like there's a
lot of stuff there, and they felt like they lose
the first game, then you would bounce back win game two.
You know, No, they lose that game and then he
doesn't play the bench until he almost was forced to.

It was too late. When he started playing the bench.
It was too late. Series was over, and I'm just
saying a lot of that.

Stuff piled up and people were like, I think the
organization was like, we were supposed to go to the finals.

He didn't get it done, and we're not. We're not
gonna accept this.

So that last part, just right, that last point for
you is a more minor point for me. I do think,
you know, you're like, hey, you kind of got out
coached by Rick Carlisle and and now we're not going
to find it. I do think that maybe a smaller part.
I think the bigger parts for me are a couple
of things. One, we didn't see many adjustments from him
throughout the postseason, including that playoff series against the Pistons.

There wasn't.

It was just they just you didn't feel We're like, Okay,
you're the better team, we're the more experiencing, we should
dominate them.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
It was always just But I don't I don't like,
I don't think they're going back to the po But
this is what I'm saying.

I think it's so multiple. I think it's a multitude
of things. I go back to mckal bridges. When you
have players coming out who is the literal iron man
of the NBA. He's played more minutes than anybody's never
missed a game, and he himself comes out and say, Yo,
we need to break you. Gotta stop playing this so much.
You gotta He goes public with this, like public, that's

kind of that's a huge indictment from a guy who's
an iron man who normally wouldn't say things like that.
And then you have the cat issues not playing them.
He's playing well at times, never seen. They got a
good jail with that. I think that does matter. And
I think Leon Rose being an agent does matter. Not
saying it's the final nail in the coffton, but I
think there's a bunch of toppings on that pizza where

you can add this, at this, at this, and then
finally lose.

He was he was agent for both part people involved, right.

But we know what ultimately matters is players. Unless you
have a Phil Jackson type of guy, righty, but if Rick, but.

If Jalen Brunton is your guy, right Seriously, who was
there before kat who got the thing going before they
brought him along?

And his dad is on Tipodeau stet. It just doesn't make.
That's what it doesn't make. Why those other pieces matter
to me?

If you got people going public, if you haven't spouts
with cat who we got and we're not getting rid
of this is just our guy now, and you obviously
didn't get it done against the Celtics. I think all
those things weigh, and now you get a position where
they're all right, we have enough cache, enough reasoning to
let him go. Because if you're his agent, if you're Tibbs,
you're saying, well, why would you let him go? Eleven

playoff wins more than anybody. You didn't get to where
