I don't know why it seemed like that. Yeah, you
ain't got no turkeys in New York. Man, it feels good.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
We are.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
You can starting to feel a little festive. You can
see people out in about kind of traveling. There was
nobody at the lines though. They just showed us at
the airport. Airport shot. But the shot that they just
showed there was nobody there. No, no, no, look, they showed
another one right now, nobody. Let me tell you something.
As a news man, we say this on the air
every single year I've been doing news. You know what
(03:40):
I have to read at some point this this triple
A is reported. This is going to be the business
travel year ever. Okay, every year can't be the business
travel year ever? Like they tell you what they said,
leave three hours early to get to the air Like, yeah,
like I'm not. It ain't always know. But the gas
prices are, uh, they're still crazy here in California. We're
(04:02):
like a dollar eighty dollar fifty over the average. They
were talk about people who gonna take, who are gonna drive,
to a lot of people gonna drive as well.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
All right.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
For over forty years, tyre rack has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
Ship Fast and free back by free Road has a
protection with convenient installation options like mobile installations that come to.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
You tire rack dot Com. The way tire buying should be.
Speaker 4 (04:28):

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Monte Bolanos is at the anchor desk. Ye kicks updated

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Put the camera on y'all look at them in there.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
I know the coordinate.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
You always look like the Jackson three four minute the
way a social media gurgule, Just real quick, saga, how
long have you been working at Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I'm gonna say six year, not three? How many years?
About three years? Is that all it's been.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
It seemed like you've been here like a lot more seniority,
very nice.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Manzi.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I was gonna say, rob g you know he's such
a hate Did you see that thumbs down?
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Combs down.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
She's wearing an MLB broke shirt. It's a nice shirt.
There's no reason to have it. You know what he
said to me yesterday? Manzi and Saga don't go anywhere.
When they announced that I was a finalist for the
Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
He said that he hoped it. I lost that second.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I think he forgot his. Michael was on that's so red.
I think he thought he was saying it to Alex.
He said it two thousand what he said, you want
enough already the last year or so.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I mean, the streets are saying that you come on now,
you doing too much? Come on? He might be well.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Kevin Hart and Snoop all I was gonna say, we
clone because this is how many snoops are they snooping
and everything?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
How could be three places in the same time.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Not Snooper has been here for three years, and it
took three years for him to finally get like a
little intro music or whatever. And the one who got
the fastest that everybody was hating on alex Is.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Who Mary Mary? Because of that, Mary Mary got one.
I don't know if it was like first week or whatever.
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
It was you did you come up? I mean obviously
another song, but I'm saying, did you think of it?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
We just said it like right away Mary Mary while
But anyway, all right, we got a great show it
And don't forget Thanksgiving them all. I'll be here live
for you on Thanksgiving. I'll be here live for you
on Friday. On Black Friday, Manzi. I don't know about you,
but every Friday's Black Friday for me.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
For her, it is today at least if she wear
that show every Friday Black for her too.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
I mean that shirt MLB bro because she needs to
love it fits me so well. It's one of my
favorite shirt you simulcasting. It's honestly.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
All right, let's go look at the shirt YouTube about
to go crazy now, rob g T shirt your team
the Raiders are so god awful and now all.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Of the talk. That's why he'd be going at you.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
It's about mister Thomas Brady and his influence on the Raiders.
There's finally gonna be some finger point that Tom Brady,
I mean will there.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
The reporting is from the athletic Ganner.
Speaker 9 (07:47):
He's not happy that he is not happy, and he
wants everyone to know how unhappy he is the way
this first season has gone with Vegas. According to Diana,
Tom Brady was a big reason why they had to
bring in chip kel to be the highest paid offensive
coordinator in the NFL. Obviously they need horribly. They had
one of the worst offenses in football. He's already been fired,
accurding Diana, though, it's not just the offense that tom
(08:10):
Brady's disappointed it, it's the entire thing. Here's the problem
with that though, guys number one Tom Brady have to
bring in chip Kelly, Number two Tom Brady well, according
to Pete Carroll, big reason he's ears because tom Brady
wanted him there.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
They are too, and ten number three don't that retirement fun?
They gave him.
Speaker 9 (08:29):
Tom Brady had a big say in their new GM
being there this first season. Who's at his old college
college roommate, they go to college together. That's their GM.
More frontatism, they hit on their first round pick. We
think with Ashton Gent we just haven't seen enough for
their second and fourth round ride receivers have both been
leap frogged in the depth chart by Tyler Lockett, who
(08:49):
was a free agent as recently as a month ago,
and their two third round offensive linemen. Both of them
cannot get on the field despite having the worst offensive
line in football. So it's all bad this season for
Tom Brady and he's not happy about it.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I got even bigger news for you. Are you ready?
I think it's official that we can say that.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Tom Brady's post playing career has been a flop. Okay,
on the air and in the front office, it has
been a flop. I dare you to challenge me on
either one. I've watched him on Fox not confident, doesn't
(09:30):
sound like a polished broadcaster. I get it, it's his
first year on the air. But I'm just saying, some
guys and kel when you notice have a flair right
off the bat, you can say whatever you want. Tony
Romo ain't the flavor anymore. But did he pop? When
he first came? He popped?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
You notice that the faun this is unique, It's different.
He popped right away, That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
And now Tom Brady and this Vegas Raiders, what a disaster. Also,
Tom Brady is the mentor to Shador Sanders. They had
three opportunities, four opportunities to draft him. No, let's go
get Gino's pizza. Let's go get the oldest living coach
(10:19):
walking the earth. Let's go get Chip Tooth Kelly, let's
go let's what are you doing? It's so bad this
and the Raiders aren't like, oh, they're having a Oh
that was a bad game. They have been god awful
the whole season, and Tom Brady's dirty paws are all
(10:41):
over it. This is what he was brought in for.
That's where I'm at. His post playing career has been
a flop, a dud.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
It stinks and if I had to put my hand
on it, I'd have to wash it. You might have
to bleach it. Matt Man. Listen, this is a lesson
again of.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
When you bring in a big name doesn't mean he's
gonna bring in a big game or big change. Michael Jordan,
how many years was he a big time owner with
the Bobcats, then the Hornets, and nothing changed, and nothing
has changed even since he sold his his stake in
the team.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Nothing changed.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Magic Johnson comes back to be the president of basketball
for the Lakers, and aside from getting Lebron, which he
was Lebron as if Lebron wanted to come to La,
he was gonna come to La a lot. He got
rid of players that ended up being really good, got
rid of players that ended up becoming All Stars. Just
because somebody's a big name doesn't mean it's gonna bring
a big change. And that's what's happening with Tom Brady.
Tom Brady, they brought in. And what happens is you
(11:42):
get guys like that or women like that, these big names,
and they basically do what they deemed that work for them. Singularly. Oh, well,
when I was really good, Pete Carrall was a good coach.
I don't know, go get him. Hey, when I was
really good, this is my roommate. We had a good
chemistry together. I mean, that was my roommate. Bring him in.
You know when I was a when I do this,
I knew.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
But back then your roommate was just bringing in warm
brownies from the store.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Or bringing in he was bringing in, you know from
the last night.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Oh when to come to our room, hanging out with us, Hey,
you know, bringing in the windy brownie.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
You know what I said. I like that, Okay, heating
him up, heat him up?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And so there's just it's rehashed rob like he didn't
come in and find some new way, no creative, he
didn't find his Sean McVay or something like that.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Everything he did was rehash.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Let's go get an old coach who my disorder cock
could work.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Go get Pete Carroll.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Ooh ooh, bringing his older quarterback that was for most
of his career, had a couple of good years, bringing
Geno ooh ooh. Let's go get Chip Kelly, who I
always like to talk about with Lane Kiffin. Can you
get me somebody else who fails up? Chip Kelly keeps
failing up at a certain point that we're gonna realize
that Oregon was a great thing for him, but most
(12:51):
of the things posts that have not worked out for
Chip Kelly.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
And yet chip Kelly fails up.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
He gets to a pro organization with the Raiders and
gets an opportunity again with Tamer Brady and gets paid
a bunch of money to not be good again. Chim
Kelly has been really good at not being good, and
so Tom Brady again. It's just another example of it's
no guarantee because a lot of the moves that you
would question about them have been his moves. So there's
been no real there's been no energy, there's no been
(13:18):
something that works. And you know this, when you're rebuilding something,
it's not that you have to automatically win off the bat.
It's that you're giving me the fan something to hope for, like, oh, shoot,
I can see we're getting good, or I can see
these young players, or let's say they got Dylan Gabriel
or or or Shad or Jackson Dart and you're like, Okay,
this is first year. I like where our young quarterbacks
(13:41):
coming next year? Okay, we won three four games, we
can maybe win six seven next year. Where you'd be
excited about that. There's nothing that enlistens excitement about the
Raiders right now. And that's what's disappointing about Tom and
his selections and all the business he's been doing with them.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven, nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine. As
Tom Brady's post NFL career been a flop, And why
do you think most great players make bad executives?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
We'll continue that conversation next with you.
Speaker 4 (14:12):

Parker Kelvin Washington on a worship Wednesday, got some more
conversations about some quarterbacks who want to play despite some injuries.
We'll tell you about that, are coming back from injury,
just to say, we'll talk about that in just a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Shout out to YouTube.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
As Rob said earlier, everybody watching on YouTube, we appreciate it.
All you got to do is search Odd Couple FSR
and then subscribe like his share thumbs up all that
good stuff and comment away to Robgi. You'll read some
comments throughout the show from the odd mob, the youtubeians.
All right, we'll take a few calls. Eight seven seven
ninety nine On Fox, Tom Brady, there's this report that
he is disappointed how things have gone.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Chip Kelly is no longer there. Part of their offense.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Pete Carer obviously has not been gray of the moves
that Tom Brady, they're saying, was a huge proponent of happening.
Rob and I both agree. For me, it ain't no
guaranteed just because you're bringing a big name that all
of a sudden is going to bring in big success.
Rob says he's gonna flop his post NFL career and
all his endeavors.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Eight seven seven ninety nine On Fox, Who we got
Jola in Dallas. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Jola, Hey Calvill.
Speaker 8 (16:25):
How y'all doing every Thanksgiving?
Speaker 9 (16:27):
Man?
Speaker 6 (16:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Thanks you having man? How are you?
Speaker 8 (16:30):
Oh yeah, doing well? You know, just enjoying the holidays,
about to make sure food you don't chilling with their family.
But man, no, let me tell you about this subject.
Let me tell you Tom Brady has definitely been a
flop with this team. This is not two thousand and
early two thousand. Its is. Let me tell you. If
this was let's say this was Captain Mahomes and he
retired from the NFL and made a team, Let's say
did this with the Tennessee Titans. See all types of
(16:52):
a current lifting te memes and all types of stuff.
No way this to last. They just doing this because
this is Tom Brady. The ladies and this guy, he's
been a flop and like I said, he's unenthusiastic on
the broadcast. I got to cut it off. I just
mute it and just do things about my day. Hey man,
But I know, do you I'm serious, man, you can't
(17:13):
watch that. I rather listen to Tony Robo and them
on CBS. You know what I'm saying, which.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
By the way, I'm glad you brought that up. Thanks,
thank you, Joe.
Speaker 8 (17:21):
Let me tell you one more things cut that. Hey, hey,
let me tell y'all right now about to Joe Burrow
Subjacy before y'all. But I know you're about to get there.
Anybody saying that he can't he sit and play is
with sugar enough? This kid could play. I can't complain
about the TV prices. And then when he wanted to play,
when he when he cut it back to injury, got
to talk about something he can't play. Let him play,
let him entertain us like he's supposed to. Let's pay
(17:42):
for it, and let's get it to say, and let
him do what they gotta do. They can win this league,
steal the conference seal.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
So all right, boy, I hear you. I'm not Jo
fired up, Manny, Thank you, j'all appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Man.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Dwayne in Dallas, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
What's up, Dwayne?
Speaker 8 (18:00):
Are we doing, gentlemen?
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Doing well? Right?
Speaker 8 (18:02):
How are you finally off work and ready for this
Cowboys game? But enough about that, let's talk about this
crazy person.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Tom Braids, All right.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
Go ahead, okay, Uncle Rob? Yeah, look just like you.
I hate Tom Brady, so by him. Yes, yes, Bucky
of a post like I guess is he a GM
or personally?
Speaker 2 (18:29):
What is it? I'm sorry, well, I don't think they called.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
I don't know if he's a consultant. He's a part
of the owner, yeah, something he's not.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
He doesn't have the title of GM, but he has
great influence.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
We know he's supposed to be in there dropping knowledge
and helping him out, but it's not necessarily the.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Case, not so far. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox Who's a herald in Chicago. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports. Ready, what's up, Harold?
Speaker 8 (18:57):
What's up? Guys? A long time listener, seven time caller?
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Sure, what's up, buddy, Let's go.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
No, not much, just want to talk about the Tom
Brady situation.
Speaker 8 (19:08):
Guys. It's early. He just got there.
Speaker 6 (19:11):
Let him, let him cook a little bit.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
What GM's okay, Harold and Kelvin and you could say
that it's early or whatever. Kelvin and I saw that
bad higher from a mile away. Pete Carroll, I'm sorry.
You can sit here and go, oh, it's early or whatever.
Pete Carroll, and and and Gino Smith, that was your
(19:33):
magic formula to do what with the raider?
Speaker 8 (19:36):
Seriously, I don't disagree, but look at the roster before
he got there.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
These are just stepping stones.
Speaker 8 (19:41):
They're bridge guys.
Speaker 9 (19:42):
None of them are.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Long at seventy four, he's a bridge guy. Let me
tell you something. That's London Bridge falling down? What bridge
can that be?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I'll give you.
Speaker 8 (19:56):
That you got a little better.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, hey, you know. And that's and I thank you
here for about that.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
And that's that's the point of like, you know what
I mean to not have foresight to be like, man,
i've been eyeballing this, this this new guy, you know
this Kyle Shanahan McVeigh, whoever, like to not have been
eyeballing that person and be like, yo, it's gonna be
rough for a year two as we rebuild, we get
our identity to just go see Pete Carroll like that's
what you came in.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Know what? And I'm gonna say it. And this is
what happens a lot of times. The comfortable old white
guy just comfortable.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
It's it's like not you just feel like the real
hash higher like, oh, go get him. He's just but
he's comfortable. You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
And I get Pete Carroll's won and I'm not taking
anything away from him and all that, but he's seventy four.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Where are you really going with him? I just can't.
I can't get there. It didn't make sense for where
they are.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
I didn't even argue if they are a stacked team,
who's a really good team. That's just like, you know,
let's say it was just let's say it was the
current Seahawks or something.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
But you know what, I'll look at it and I
bring it up all the time because I was there
and I saw it happen in two thousand and four
where they thought they had The Pistons thought they had
something and at that time Rick Carlile wasn't because he
wound up being a really good coach and been to
the NBA finals, won a championship and all that. But
at that time they thought they had something special. And
(21:19):
Larry Brown becomes available and they're like, can we upgrade
and go for the older.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Guy rather than do you see what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Letting you win that mays we already have a built
team that can do something. Went to the playoffs with
Rick Carlile, we just need one more expert gurgle guy
to get us something. Yes, to know you're bad, to
know it's gonna be a rebuild, to know you're gonna
need some help, and to build something you can't go
get the guy that can't be a part of the building.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
And theydn't bringing a quarterback. Who's I mean? You know,
I just had a.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Couple of good years, no doubt, year and a half.
A credit him for turning his you know, turning around
and getting getting the bag too. But that just you
can't get that package deal. Be like, that's gonna change
our guys. You can't do that and that and that's
on Tom Brady's name. Man, all right, you would get
the last one or know you.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Got one more.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Yeah, let's let's squeeze that one in Logan Logan in
Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Yep, Logan, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, my man?
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Give it to you.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
I think the question we need to be asking here
is are the Raiders better with overtal top Brady? Because
if I'm Mark Davis, I've not noticed this world's greatest odor.
If I have Tom Brady about quarter at least I
have somebody with the dolledge who's bet there and who
has taken but it doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Yeah, and that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Michael Jadon was a great player, it didn't have They're
a handful of the player you named the sport. Just
bringing in as someone a great resume when they were
a player is not mean they're great. Because here's the
thing you might have to be great on. What's the
what's the new trend? Where are we right now? Where's
the game right now? What's working? What's not?
Speaker 8 (22:56):
Not?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Just back when I was playing, this is what we did,
and that's what happened a lot of times when you
get the older person who's a super experienced this is
how it worked when I did it, not what's working currently.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
So appreciate the calls. All right on the other side.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Again, be sure to catch live editions of The Odd
Couple with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven
pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
On the way Sheckle City Play of the day and
we'll get to those in a little bit later in
the hour, but right now, Rob, g you got a
couple of quarterbacks who I think we had a caller
earlier who I think a lot of people like this approach.
I know Rob does. We've talked about it a bit.
Joe Burrow basically said, Hey man, I'm a football player.
If I'm healthy as I as I am, let me
tell you why I said that. Yeah, like that, Jay,
(23:42):
one of the occupation that players they play.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
So right, Rob, You'll be wrong.
Speaker 9 (23:46):
You've been wrong more time than I can count, tell you,
y'all Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Described.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Wait, it's going to be a real merry Christmas. Let
me tell you Ron telling you you know, these hands
are rady for everyone. See, this is what happened.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
This is you know, Hey, Rock, can I tell you something,
Rob Parker, If you want to know how you were
acting a handful of months ago, this is how you
were acting. See, this is what people happen when y'all
start losing weight. Now you did it because you just
were eating bird food. Here he out here jabbing himself.
So yeah, when y'all start acting losing weight, y'all start
acting different. I'm like the Barry Bonds of sports stock
r Yeah, you out here acting little you were already good.
Rob told you now you took it to another left right.
(24:23):
That's how you were acting right now, you losing all
your every day coming.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Here, look at me, I've felt. Let me get this
mayo and turkey and cheeah. Let me eat this mayo.
Speaker 9 (24:34):
So the Bengals in the Commander that are combined six
and sixteen on the season, both teams, if according to
the Avass metrics, have less than like a fifteen percent
chance of making the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Not looking good. But Joe Burrow ball on the case.
Speaker 9 (24:46):
She's gonna play tomorrow night in the primetime game against
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. And while Jaden Daniels is
not playing this week, he did return to practice early
ahead a schedule from his elbow injury, with the hopes
that maybe he'll play in week fourteen. Now, both guys
have said that you alluded to if I'm healthy, I'm
gonna play point blank period.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
But is that a mistake.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
I don't think it's a mistake, And I thought it
was a mistake when Anthony Davis came back, he obviously
wasn't healthy, and he was.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
It was it was an ego thing.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
Not stop calling me Street close exactly because Charles Barkley
given him the nickname.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
It kind of was there.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
And then k D when he came back, Chris and
I and Rob g we first guessed this, like he
this is a mistake. He's gonna get hurt, Like you
can't come back that quickly from that, And he wound
up getting hurt in that game, and a lot of
people thought it was wrong in this case. And I've
said it a thousand times. If they're healthy, not they're gimpy,
(25:47):
and they're just doing it for their team.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
I understand it. I really do.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Zion Williamson when he blew out the sneaker and the injury,
Oh don't come back. You're already gonna be the number
one pick. He was eighteen years old. What eighteen year
old kid doesn't want to play? Like, if you're healthy,
that's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Zion and health don't go together anymore.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
No, but he was hurt in high school. Yeah, that's
just and that's you know, we let me tell you
been hurt in high school. A conversation and you are
going to have a million times, specifically with NBA players,
is too much basketball?
Speaker 2 (26:20):
We talked about a million time.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
They play way too much, eight games over a weekend,
no pride, and mind you, the just their whole regular
high school season. Then they AAU and then they travel team,
and then it's your body only has certain amount of jumps.
Joe Burrow listed all the injuries a few days ago,
and we talked about this. He was hurt, twenty twenty three,
missed a bunch of games, twenty twenty five, I'm sorry,
(26:42):
twenty twenty one, twenty twenty three missed a bunch of
games already, and then if you include this season, he's
missed a lot of games. The reason why I totally
respect and get what you're saying. What Joe Burrows saying. Man,
I'm a football player. All I know is football. This
is what I love. This is my passion. I did
it as a little boy in the backyard, like this
is what I want to do and be out there
people with my guys. I get that. But you're no
(27:02):
longer a football player. You are a business. You're part
of our franchise business. You are our franchise player. It's
specifically quarterback Jaden and Joe Burrow, and we have a
long term projection with you and we want to win
rings with you, and we want to do what's best
for you, which ultimately is best for us. And just
(27:22):
putting you out there, I know you want and I
respect it. Our defense is terrible, it's the worst in
the league. We're missing guys, guys injured. We're out of
playoff contention. Technically maybe they're not, but we know that
they are. Just don't say technically they're not.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
They're eliminated.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
And I mean it's it's the Steelers or the Ravens period.
To me, it's just not worth it. And Jane Daniels,
I don't know how his elbow. I thought he was
out till next seed, mid next season. The way that
looks so thank god that was it looked worse than
it really was, just a dislocated elbow.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
And I say, just as if I won one of those.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
But here, I just for me, Rob rud I just
I'm trying to play the long game with you. Joe Burrow,
my star, my everything. We can't go anywhere without you,
and I want to have you here another eight to
ten years. And I just don't see the point of
running you out another six, seven games whatever it is.
When they won't ultimately matter, and I get that you
(28:17):
want to play and I respect it. That's why we
love you. We believe your integrity who you are as
a franchise player. But it's bigger than just right now.
It's for this duration of your career here and what
you mean to us in the city and his town
and his team. That's for me why I would say, naw, Joe,
don't Eveymonere, just pack it up, brother. You see that
more in the NBA. Well, they're just like they're gonna
shut them down for the season.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
But this is where your argument has holes. There's two
big holes.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
In your argument. A, they have insurance on these players,
look like you don't have. You talk about a business, right,
So there's insurance to put to safeguard the player and
the organization. And number two, them not playing now does
not guarantee they won't get hurt in.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Week one, week two, week three next year.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
There's no guarantee about whether or not you you're gonna
get hurt because you didn't play these games at the
end of the year. Joe Burrow, right, he paid for
the first time in a couple of years.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
What did he do?
Speaker 4 (29:11):
He did the preseason games right to get because they
got off the slow start.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
You remember that they've got off to okay.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
And then but but he got hurt in was it
week two? Rob g I think he got hurt in
week two. So so like, if you're going to get hurt,
you're going to get hurt.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Right, I'm gonna use that exactly my point. No, I'd
rather you get hurt when we're trying to have a season.
But if he gets hurt in week one or two,
he still get hurt.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
I can't. But I'm saying, at least we were going
for something. You know what I'm saying. I hear what
you're saying.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
But at least I'm coating for the seasons old kids start.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Don't watch someone who get for nothing.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
I'd rather get hurt week one or two where we go, well,
Dage were trying to this was our year, we were
going for a super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Why get hurt week thirteen for nothing?
Speaker 4 (29:57):
And you he's not out of there, not matthe maadically
out and as you're competing, you say that right now,
but you don't.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
That's not the way. That's not the way people understand
that people you.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Don't play professional sports get to that level to just
throw in the towel, when when you're officially eliminated, you're sad.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Okay, we're out. We got Now.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Whether he plays or not, let's say the technically they're out,
then that's different.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Then you can re evaluate and then you can look
at it's not you as long as you have a
chance to win. What if Joe Burrow goes goes, goes
ballistic and and puts on defense. But he's not just him,
I believe moves even better. Say he's even better. And
that's my point is.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
That he's a lower case he got at this point.
But the brother was insane last year. The defense was
tearing their worse this year.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
No, I just but but you do not because you
always think that you want to have a chance, and
until you're eliminated officially, then you can be working. If
he says I'm healthy, I'm healthy, not I'm iffy, I'm healthy.
We're not eliminated. If we could beat the Ravens and
maybe get on a run or win five games in
a row. Look at the Ravens, they were one in five.
(31:11):
Did they throw the towel in?
Speaker 2 (31:13):
No? No, because you know what kind of talent you
have and I get it.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
And they Ravens had a longer runway and last defense
was awful, I mean, and it got got healthy, they
got back.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
And so here's my thing.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
You brought up Katie in the championship, and I totally
get what you and Brew were saying, Like he's gonna
get hurt, He's going to do the only justification for
that is I'm trying to win a championship, like we're
in the finals, So you'd say it's worth it because
we're trying. This is what we play for to win
a ring, and to me this but he was hurt
though you know, I don't disagree, and I'm with you.
He was going like the great chance of even getting
(31:44):
hurt was high, but at least I'm doing it to
win the ring.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
I'm in the finals.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
What I'm saying is Jade and Daniels, for example, they're
out of this thing.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Right.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
What you've been injury for on all season? Hamstrings, knee injury,
now your elbow. Just it's okay, this one not year, bro,
you're twenty four or five years old. We got this, well,
I just I don't think I know they don't. But
that's why your own you wouldn't be out there.
Speaker 4 (32:10):
Uh if you really believe that you had no shot,
you know what I mean, you just wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
No. I think it's a pride thing. I'm a football player.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
My guys need help, they want, but I need you.
Jayden Daniels, you're our key. You're not normal. I hate
to put it to you that way. That's why y'all
were red jerseys. Y'all can't be hitting practice. You are different.
You're our star quarterback. You ain't the dB out there?
All right, checko City Player of the Day on the
(32:37):
way and have a little fun with an MLB auction.
I'll explain what it is next. It's the acable Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm

iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (32:55):

Speaker 4 (33:28):
One and one. Now my total is eighty five and
seventy five. Rob g you got anything to say?
Speaker 2 (33:40):
I mean, you're barely profitable. Rob this relax, but I
got up. Do you remember where I was? You had
to start all over? It's county, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
It was the start of the new season, all right,
here we go any wether it was.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
I thought that was January first, like the new year.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
All right, I got the best bet. I'm gonna take
Golden State minus two and a half. They're your host
in Houston. Golden State minus two and a half. I
got that's interesting. Yeah, Portland, well, no KD they played
last night, right, I think they play Portland minus one
and a half. They're hosting the Spurs. I'm gonna take
(34:18):
that game. And I'm gonna take the Suns on the
road minus four and a half against the Siberia Kings,
I mean Sacramento Kings. So again, best bet. I'm gonna
take Phoenix minus four and a half. That's the best bet.
I'm gonna take Portland minus one and a half at home,
(34:38):
and I'm gonna take Golden State minus two and a
half at home. And remember Kelvin that I'm not telling
you who to bet on. I'm telling you who I
bet on. All right, now the time for your tire
reck Player of the Day.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Flipper shooting sixty percent, Lakers sixty four. I was just left.
Lucas got born. Luca now with four in eleven minutes.
Speaker 9 (35:03):
Nobody else in the game has double figures and he
has twenty four.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Yeah, look a forty plus on that one Spectrum Sports

don't come to you wherever you may be. Tyreck dot
com the way tyre bid should be. All right, we
all set up here and watched the World Series. We
were some of the games, A lot of them were
(35:34):
on when we were here. Some of course we watched
it home, Manzi. The only reason why I call you
out on this because you may know the answer, just
because your affiliation with the Dodgers. Does anybody know the
racist ras.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
The reason Dodgers fan.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Well, she literally, I don't know what you want me
to say it to that. She does, Alex, she does.
Did you hear about the balls that for the world
hearing that from the playoffs runs that were sold in
the auction?
Speaker 3 (36:02):
No?
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Okay, good, so you can play then if you didn't, okay.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
All right, So three big time plays were sold the
balls from these plays, Miggi Rojas.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
We know the game tying Game seven home run ball,
the balls stuck in the fence.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Yeah, they went and got none knew that Will Smith's
game winning run and shoe Otani and the NLCS Game four,
remember the blasted that one to hit the roof and
all that with just the blast, yes, against the Brewers.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
All right, the start with Miggi Rojas. How much how
much do you rob? Of course, robs anybody? How much
do you think it's sold for it? ROAs? One hundred grand?
Speaker 1 (36:40):
Okay, twenty two, twenty two thousand, Yes, okay, I'm gonna
say of make sure you ain't looking two hundred thousand,
all right. The winner of this is Manzi one hundred
and fifty six styles close and.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
This is a it's a rights group. Bob Barker, No,
skinny Mike here. Bob Barker's dead. So no, no skinny
Mike here. I use that at the new TV.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Wh Yeah, we got little, a little ghetto when we
made Rob G twenty two thousand, act like you know sports.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
No, it's just because he's not like a name that
people would Did you see the play? Yeah, but it
wasn't the game. Mon what you mean? I don't know
what he means. I don't know. Because we talking about
a million, I said two hundred thousand.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
I think it's going to be at least over all
those balls are at least over one hundred thous Let's
keep going.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
Will Smith's game winning run, game winning home run, game
winning home run, game winning home run, Will.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
Smith's game in game seven, I'm gonna go first, and
I'm just gonna say five hundred.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Thousand months seventy five Roger three eighty way off. So
I think the winner is Manzi one sixty eight?
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Is that it that I was shocked?
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Wait, just a little bit more than yeah, tell thousand,
exact sense, I was shocking by either, and then they
went in home run in the world.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
It's because it was a seven. I agree.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
That's crazy and lastly show him because Will Smith smacked somebody,
but that was a different Will see.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
They didn't read into it. They just saw Will Smith.
They're like, oh my gosh, I'm not paying that. I'm
only playing one hundred and sixty eight for that the
ball from his second of his three home runs and
the NLC has getting the game yet, you know three,
just incredible, blast one out of there his through show.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Hey, how much rob G? You start? Rob G eight
twenty five five five three million, three million, one point
one million.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
One point one. You guys are way over. But I
don't blame you because I thought it would be this
two what is it? Only two seventy?
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Wow? Now here's together and get it.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
I'm shocked because anything that he does, you know, is
usually something and then and then supposed that was.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
The greatest game ever in so I'm shocked that that
you got the overseas bidders over their bag.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Now. The reason why you guys say that to your points,
and I agree with you, is because the ball that
made him officially in the fifty to fifty club auction
last year for four hundred I mean for four point
thirty nine millions year, So you would think these went higher,
but they didn't for some reason.
