Speaker 2 (03:33):
D you eat it, jolly Richard.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
No, No, I don't know what happened.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
I was just eating and I had to go to
the dentist and it's gonna cost like a million dollars
to get it repaired.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Hey, let me tell you dentists. Boy, that's the hustle.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
I am, like, my goodness gracious, and they.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Know you can't do without, like you can't be like,
screw it. I'll walk around with a hole in my mouth, right.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
But I think also there in cohoots with the doctors.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
You know why, because when they tell me the price
to fix my tooth, almost had a heart attack.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
You know, what I mean now, I call that cardiac
arrest exactly. You walked out with two bills.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
I'm like, how much?

Speaker 5 (04:09):
How about if you take them all out and just
put in a fresh batch.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Hey, you know what, you might not be hey getting
on just getting some dentures and calling it to day
might be the move.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
I'll tell you this, And I said this to my dentist.
I said, Rex Ryan has the worst pair of choppers
on television.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Am I not right?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Nobody has perfect crystal clear white teeth.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
No, but that's not perfectly squared. Yeah, he's got the
chick lits. He got chack lids. That's not what people
are looking for.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
They are ultra violet too.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yes, like you gotta wear sunglasses to be on the
setide the things is ultra violet, he smiled.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
He definitely can light up a whole small city without
a doubt.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
All Right, Hey, we got a lot to do and
so little time on his funky flashback Friday.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Let's welcome in the up A crew because we wouldn't
be able to do this fine radio program without. Hey,
my my high school buddy Ed Genesee in New York
is listening. He just text me, Uh, and what's happening
he was there for that's right. And we used to
take the bus to high school together every day, the
Q forty two bus and laugh our way all the

(05:21):
way through high school. He's a great shouted ed Jeneseon.
That's right, all right, let's welcome to the Hocht couple
of crew. We wouldn't be able to do this fine
radio program without him. Rob g is our producer Mexican.
That's right, Oh my, it's that kind of day because
of my two I'm gonna be on Mexican. I'm gonna

(05:41):
be on the.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
War path today.

Speaker 9 (05:43):
In the text chain, I'm glad I'm not a black
quarterback today.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, this ain't the day.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
This ain't today the way I feel.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
Alex, of course is our engineer, Steve the Seger's at
the anchor desk.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
He'll keep us updated throughout the program.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
And of course who and Elijah our social media gurule
and I only have one message to Elijah?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
What is that? Hr you?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Hr you?

Speaker 10 (06:15):
Now I need a montage on my tooth is just funny,
that's funny. But am I the only one that that
uses hr you?

Speaker 9 (06:26):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Well, it's not that you.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
It's just that it's synonymous with favor, like, hey, hru,
here comes a favorite.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Ask. No, that's the issue.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
I'm actually saying hello to Elijah because I think.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
You know what you're actually saying hru yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever,
make this thing I.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Need real quick.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Okay, maybe that's the case. All right, let's go.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
All right, that's the issue, rob G.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
Your Raiders that garbage we watched last night. I had
to send Rob G a picture of his television that's
at my house that his wife won't let him buy.
So I've tried to rub it in his face that
he would have been watching the Raiders last night.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
No, he watched it on his phone. Rubed face, big top. Yeah,
Rob this was the worst week ever, Alex let us live.
We tried to show here. What are we supposed to do?
How are we supposed to talk? What can we say?

Speaker 5 (07:20):
We can't say anything? Rob G tell us about the
Raiders and now Denver.

Speaker 11 (07:24):
Well, it's less about the Raiders and more about Denver.
Because Denver won their seventh straight game. They're eight and two,
their tops in the division, and nobody feels good about it.
And that's because last night they put on one of
the worst performances we've seen from a winning team basically ever.
Their offense finished with two hundred and twenty yards. They
punted seven times. Bo Nicks threw two picks. It was

(07:47):
the fourth time this year the Broncos did not score
in the first quarter. They had four possessions that went
for negative yards, three of them in the third quarter alone.
They had eleven penalties as a team. It was a
fourth game this season team has had ten plus penalties.
They were really, really bad. And this is a trend
that's been going on for them basically all year. Yes,
they won seven straight, but they have not looked good

(08:10):
doing it in any way. They have trailed in every
game but won this season. And they have scored eighteen
or fewer points in three of their last five games.
But as they say, you are what your record says
you are, and they are eight and two.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
And guess what I took away from that win last night?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
What's that that the Broncos can get it done.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
I have more confidence in the Broncos than ever before
because they had no reason to win that game.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
They should not have won that game. Good team find
a way to win.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
I am now more convinced than ever that they're going
to win the division. They're going to win the division
and take it away from the Kansas City Chiefs who
coming in. They've owned that vision right since Patrick Mahomes
showed up, and now I am convinced Denver will win

(09:09):
that division. And that is a great sign because it
also means that there's a potential that the Chiefs might
not even make the playoffs if Denver can beat them
and put them in the spot where they are, because remember,
the Chargers are even ahead of the Chiefs. But I
didn't go away from that feeling worse about Denver. I

(09:31):
actually feel better about Denver. They had no business winning,
and they did.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
You're the only person on earth, including Sean Payton, Bo Knicks, Dobbins,
They're JK. Dobbins, They're running back and every single person
who's a Denver Bronco fan. How are you the one
person who walked away from that feeling better? That's how
I know you went home and watched your twenty fifth
time watching the reruns of Mason, of Matt Locke, of
Golden Girls.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
There's no way you watched that.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
G send you pictures of the game last night.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
No I just want him to buy the TV.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
That's all I know.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
I was watching, said, let me put a sport, let
me put a game on. He might chance winds and
he might want the TV. Now, No, if I put on,
if I put Matt Locke on her murdercy Rope, he
ain't gonna want it.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
I'm paying for Prime, trust me, I'm watching the game.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
No all jokes aside. I hear what you're saying. In
a win is a win. I get that, Like we
all have heard that. We know that, but there is
a such thing as a win that we didn't even like.
And when you start to have your coach, your quarterback,
you're running back and other people come out and they're
literally borderline crying that they're feel bad for the defense.

(10:38):
You heard Dobbins man. We can't keep doing this to
our defense. We can't keep I feel bad. We owe
them so much more. They keep playing great. We keep
making them have to go out there and make play
after play after play, and they have looked bad throughout
the season and been a very confusing team. And also,
I think what what's making more troubling Robin Again, I
get what you're saying. When is when they they're eight
and two. The troubling thing is they were ten and

(11:00):
seven last year. Bow Knicks as a rookie Sean Payton,
he and him their first year together. You thought they
were gonna take a bigger step. Year two, they actually
have taken steps backwards. The offense has regressed. Bow Knicks
looks worse, He's making more turnovers, making bad possessions, having
bad drive after bad drive. And they have the six
They've played the sixth easiest record a schedule, six easiest

(11:22):
schedule this season, so a lot of those wins are
against bad teams. And I also say, I hear what
you're saying about winning division. However, when you look at
the rest of their schedule, this is where it gets
tricky for the Broncos. ROB and why they I get
their frustration one hand, Hey, you play out, we gotta win.
The reason why they're frustrated, ROB is because they're saying

(11:42):
next game for them, the sixteenth, they play the Chiefs,
then coming up a couple of games later, they play
the Packers, then they play the Chiefs again, then they
close out against the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
So they still have some big games against the.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Same two teams that are near all they gotta do
is go only gonna do is split though they don't
have to go four And oh what I'm.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Saying, and the idea them, yeah, but you could play better.
They have a bye, right and then they're gonna and
then you have it.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I think this is what So this is where Rob
Parker sees it as oh, we're just winning. They're saying
we're not playing good enough to beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
See that's why I disagree.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
I don't think that those games are the same compared
to the teams that they've played. You talked about the
week schedule, and sometimes that happens, but it tells you
how good they are that they couldn't because they're teams
who have lost to really bad teams.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Right where where there was no business they should have lost.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
So like just no way you watch the Broncos and
think that they I'm not saying they can't have a
great defense.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
That is we are, but that but that that's what
but that But that's the part that I like.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
And they can only get better. They can't play worse
than they've played.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
They can't actually gotten worse. Though they have they've gotten.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
You think they're gonna be worse than they played yesterday.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
That that that going forward against those four games you
talked about, you think they'll be worse than they played
last night.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Historically historically bad.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
What I'm saying is you don't need to be slightly
better than that, you need to be a lot better
than that.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And Sean Payton, whenever you.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Have defense travels, defense travel. Whenever you have defense, you're
always gonna be in game. You're always gonna have a
shot to make plays and make up make make plays.
You don't need to blow people out to feel good
about this, to look like a Sean Payton ran offense.
They and that's why he's so. He's been frustrated all seasons.
He has been all season upset. Your defense has, let

(13:33):
me give you one number, thirty seven more sacks the
last two years than the next closest team. They This
is how they disrupt the quarterback, They pressure the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
They make these other teams look bad offensively. But Peyton Manning.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Won a Super Bowl like that go back you're talking about.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
They can't win Denver one.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Peyton Manning threw four hundred and three yards and one touchdown.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
At that team was way better than this offense.

Speaker 12 (14:02):
No, no, but that game and I remember a game Rock.
You remember when the Raiders wuch in the Super Bowl
in twenty two.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
What did what did Tampa Bay's defense do? It was unbelievable?
Hold on, hold on, unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Don't go that far. Don't call this defense that defense.
That was an all timer that defense. Ravens have had
a couple over the last twenty five years. Don't go
that far. Rob My point is the reason why it
ain't even about me being frustrated. The reason why they're
frustrated because they know they need to be better. Because
they know they got to play the Tweet Chiefs twice,
they got to play the Packers and they got to
play the Charger.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
All they gotta do is split. They not, They don't
have to go four now. I think they know they're
not good enough to split. They split, They split, then
they're on ten and four. You're in good You're in
a good spot. Ten and four would be great. That's
the reason that they just expected to be win every game.
I mean, they're not gonna win eleven and it's.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Expected to play better. That's the thing. And Sean Payton
knows that he wants to have a better offense.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
This sounds good. Supposed to be doing sports Teller short
menu wins and losses, remember.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
And they know they got some losses on the way
if they don't get better, all.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Right, And he's okay eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
You know what another one of my friends is listening
tonight on Serious Excel. It's unbelievable. Billy Skeeters, he's in Dallas. Billy,
Tell Billy, what's up?

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Billy?

Speaker 9 (15:30):
Do you make up that name? No, he's a friend
of mine.

Speaker 4 (15:32):

Speaker 5 (15:33):
We've been friends for? Ready, fifty two years? We've been
friends fifty two years. Kel when you got any friends?
Fifty two years friendship with anybody?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
You gotta give me some more years to ketch up
to that ride. I'm not there yet.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
I'm just kidding you.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Hear your boy, another decade or something I can catch
up to.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
That is that unbelievable? Though we've been friends.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
With at That's great, that's awesome. Seriously, that's what kids.
All right.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
We grew up in the same neighborhood. All right. Are
you feeling better or worse about the Broncos.

the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
They're eight and two.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Rob feels even better. He thinks they're for sure gonna
win the AFC West. I feel like the Broncos they
ain't playing good enough.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
What's say you? Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
Who We.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Got Joey in North Dakota. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Joey?

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Hey, how you guys doing.

Speaker 13 (17:58):
I love the show.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 13 (18:02):
Yes, So I actually like the Broncos before the season started. Uh,
mainly because of the defense. And I got one major
question for mister Washington.

Speaker 14 (18:13):
Defense does what.

Speaker 13 (18:18):
With championships.

Speaker 14 (18:20):
Yes, so as long as.

Speaker 13 (18:22):
That offense, which I will agree with you. The offense
has been suspect at times outside of the fourth quarter probably,
but if they can catch fire at the right time
at the end of the season in the playoffs. That defense,
that defense, it's not an all time defense, but they
are really, really, really good. And we saw that last night.
They got they bailed them out time after time. What

(18:45):
was it, they went almost what was it a quarter,
two quarters without even getting the first down up.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Yeah, and that's what you're right.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
But that's what Joey.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
You're right, Joey.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
My only thing did that to just to add I
totally get you. The defensive spectacular and that's kept him
in games. And you you you love that. My only
thing is, you can't be almost equally as good as
your defense that bad offensively, Like, you don't have to
be spectacular.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
You don't have to be the greatest show on turf.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
See here, here's here's where I'll part with you. I
understand and we know that there's room for improvement. But
if they would have lost they had won seven in
a row, had they lost any of these games, you.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Would have a better argument.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
You know what.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
I mean that the defense played well and look, it
still couldn't turn into a win. That's the argument, is that, yes,
because they have been able to make plays in the
fourth quarter and come up with plays when they needed
and yes, as they get better, I think that they're
only going to get better as time goes on and
not gonna get worse.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Eight seven nine on Fox.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
That's the problem.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
Thomas in Memphis, You're on the eyd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Thomas? Hey, what's Oh my goodness, gracious,
look at that. I want to time with that voice, Barry.
Hear at that right now?

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Smooth, got stop.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
It, hey, man, listen. I just want to call and
to tell you guys, you all have truly changed the
sports commentary landscape to a transformational listening experience with your
preparation and delivery content. So I just appreciate the way
you present yourselves and I have an amazing time listen
to you. Man. I've got a lot of people just
connected to you guys now in the methods, So manure man,

(20:25):
you guys keep going.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Man, we appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
That means a lot, a lot, that really does all right,
You know what, rober is number. We got to have
him do an intro or something for us. Robin, Well,
he's gone now, but maybe he'll call again.

Speaker 9 (20:37):
I want to say, Rob, what's for the holiday season.
I want to say, you're a mean one?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
That's right, mister, No, no, Rob, You notice what he's
got to call it and say into Merry Christmas to
all and do all the good night.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
The temptations, Merry Christmas, a silent night. He's got to
do that.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
At the end when they ended, like that, call back
and get his info, Roger, so he can do something.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
For us, an intro, something, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Hey, well here sound like Barry White, Will and Wisconsin
you on the on a couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (21:01):
What's up Will, what's going on around?

Speaker 8 (21:03):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Jovin Will?

Speaker 14 (21:06):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (21:06):
Nothing much? Not so bomby rainy day here in Wisconsin.
Man was still enjoying as the other general said the conversation. Uh,
this actually goes back to sort of a couple a
few weeks ago when we were talking about West Kansas
City tuning up after being able to win against the
Lions into this playoff mode, and and and and truly
you know, yes they're playing well.

Speaker 14 (21:27):
They're staying better.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
But that's that's scheduling at the early part of the
season really mattered. I know a lot of you know
folks say, hey, you know that early part but didn't
matter this season. And right now Denver with another big
division win, another you know, consecutive win. It's an uphill
battle for Kansas City right now. They are not in
as great a position you know as.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
No, they got four losses already out of nine games. Sir,
it's it's it's not a great spot.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
And and and and just thank you guys so much
for taking a call. And uh and and let's hope
that that these guys get to the next quarter third
of this season injury free and get some good football
for sure.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
All right, we appreciate that, will appreciate you good Kevin.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
Can you see can you see what I got here?

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Is that a grown person lunchable? What is that a
reduced that's a reduced turkey sandwich. Here we go again, Rob,
I sat next to you. There, real ribs, Okay, reduced ribs.
I just I don't play with like meat man. What
I mean some reduced crackers or something?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
All right?

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Reduce meat is crazy.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Why it's not expired. It's expired. The date is tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
All right.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Remember you did this, You brought some meat home on
the airplane from another day, another city, another state.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
And what happened?

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Tell the truth, Rob, What did you say to me
when you didn't think I was listening on air?

Speaker 2 (22:46):
You know what?

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Maybe the last time I had some meat, reduced meat,
that's when I broke my tooth.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Thought, baby, No it did not break out. I want
you to know my tooth was never broken.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Sounded crazy. You just you love giving Alex drops.

Speaker 9 (23:00):
It's been a good week for me.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Okay, can we get to stevee.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Sam Bunson on the other you don't want showing you
reduce meat?

Speaker 1 (23:07):

Speaker 2 (23:34):
We'll talk about that a little bit.

Speaker 14 (23:35):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (23:35):

knew that the conversation was pointed at you. I cover

That's right, Tyrereck dot com s Daway Tirebox should be
joined now by Sam Monson, co host of the Check
to Mike podcast on the thirty third Team Team, Sam
Monson NFL on X Sam, what's upbody?

Speaker 14 (24:10):
Hey, how's it going?

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Fellers doing weight?

Speaker 5 (24:14):
Uh? Let's start with the Broncos in their defense. I'm
watching and my goodness, gracious, I mean a defense like that.
Their offense hasn't gotten going really yet. I mean, they
have made plays in the fourth quarter to help win
some games. But what do you make of the Broncos defense?

Speaker 4 (24:29):
How good is it?

Speaker 8 (24:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (24:31):
I mean that defense is absolutely elite. I think they're
definitely the best poss rushing unit in the NFL. The
back end it's pretty good as well, even with Patricks
Artan in the lineup. They're still able to hold up
on the back end and let those guys cook up front.
But you know, a guy like Nick Bonito is having
a Defensive Player of the Year kind of season. They've
got four or five guys that can all win up

(24:53):
front one on one, and they've got the players in
the back end that can cover. So it's it's a
best defense in the NFL type of unit.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Yeah, it's spectacular.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
But one of the things we talked about was if
you me or obviously not rob but if somebody was
concerned about it, be one thing I'm not. But what
makes it interesting is how up set they are. Sean Payton,
Bowden Nicks, you heard JK. Dobbins talking about it. What
do you make of that that they're disappointed in their performance?

Speaker 14 (25:20):
Yeah, and look, it wasn't a good performance. It was
a rough day at the office for most people. In
that game. The defense played really well. Even the defense
gave up some plays and they weren't punished for it
because the Raiders shot themselves in the foot, you know
when they made up when they came up the big play.
You know, they gave up a big run to Ash
and gent I think that was a pretty ticky tack

(25:40):
holding call that brought that bank. They gave up a
bomb to Dante Thornton and he dropped the ball just
before halftime.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
You know, they could have given up missed the field goal, right,
there were a couple of things.

Speaker 14 (25:50):
Yeah, So yeah, I think they're right to be upset
with themselves that how they played. Look, the important thing
is they got to win and they move on. But yeah,
that's the performance. You know, they're gonna be looking at
during the week and meetings and really trying to make
sure they don't play at that level again because they're
going to face better teams than the Raiders and if
they play like that, they won't beat those teams.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
How about this notion that here come the Ravens.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
They got Lamar back, they got that big win before
Lamar got back. Can they run the table or win
you know, eight out of nine or whatever and even
win that division? Where where are the Because we knew
before the talent that they have, and a lot of
people picked them to get to the super Bowl, and
they got off to a horrendous start. But if they

(26:37):
win four or five or six in a row, can
can they get there?

Speaker 14 (26:42):
Yeah, definitely. I mean, look, I think the division is
still well up for grants. I mean that even at
the worst part where the Ravens were like one and four,
you know, the Steelers were at the other end of
that spectrum, it was still only basically a clean flip
in terms of odds to win that division. Vegas never
abandoned and the Ravens, and you know, it's kind of

(27:02):
the other side of that is they never had a
ton of faith in Pittsburgh either. And you know, the
Ravens get to play Pittsburgh twice if they beat them
two times. If they sweep the Steelers, they also get
the Bengals twice. You know, they've got games within that
division that would immediately catapult them back to basically level
or a game back from first. And yeah, I think

(27:23):
they can still absolutely win the division. Lamar Jackson came
back and looked immediately like MVP Lamar Jackson, so.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
That no pigs.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
Yeah, yeah, they have one of the.

Speaker 14 (27:33):
Best players in the NFL on offense and the defense.
It might not be good, but it's a lot better
than it was earlier in the season when everybody was
banged up and the other thing.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Sam real quick you take away too fumbles by Derek Henry,
they might have two more wins.

Speaker 14 (27:48):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean that was one of the everything
was going wrong early in the season. Dereck Henry was
putting the ball on the ground, you know. Lamar Jackson
in the last couple of games before he got hurt
wasn't playing his best football either. Yeah. Think they're a
much better football team than they showed. Also, their schedule
was brutal to begin the season, and it's a lot
easier now.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
All right, Sam Monts and our guests here, I'm gonna
go to this. One could be.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Monday night, could be game of the week, depending on
how you want to look at it. You got Eagles
at Packers, both teams kind of the big dogs in
the NFC right now. When you look at these two teams,
one is the Randy chap one is one a lot
of rob For example, has the Packers in the Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (28:26):
That was before the trade. I want you to know, Sam,
I picked it before.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Okay, all right, thank you, Rond.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Which team do you look at right now and you say, maybe, Hey,
it's the Eagles conference to lose. Do you look at
the Packers maybe as a better team. Who do you
look at as the big dog between those two? Uh
we can call them maybe juggernauts or leaders of the conference.

Speaker 14 (28:45):
I mean, I think the Eagles because they've been there
and done that. You know, they've got the experience and
the muscle memory. They know that they're a championship caliber
team if they put it all together. Green Bay I
think has that ceiling as well, but they haven't been there.
They haven't you know, got experience of what it takes
to get that far and win a Super Bowl and
go in that run. Think their best football can absolutely

(29:07):
go toe to toe with a team like the Eagles,
But I don't know if they believe yet. When they've
lost games this season, it's because they've been dragged into
a dogfight and it's been ugly and they've stumbled. You know,
they did it against and they haven't been again great
teams when that's happened, the Browns, the Panthers, you know,
they need to sort of realize themselves how good they

(29:27):
can be and not let themselves getdragged into those games.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Before the season started, I picked the Lions to not
nt make the playoffs. I'm looking at the division now
that was a huge win by Minnesota in Detroit coming
off the bye. We're tight there now in that division
with the Packers leading away. The Bears have the same
record as the Lions. What do you look at there?

(29:53):
When I look at the Lions, the team used to
be really good at completing third down and this year
they were top three or for the last couple of years.
This year they're like fifteenth or eighteenth. What do you
see with Detroit?

Speaker 14 (30:07):
Yeah, I think they're still capable of being a really,
really good football team. There's so much talent on both
sides of the ball. But you're right, it's not quite
the way it was. I think some of that is
losing Ben Johnson and the detail oriented way that he
goes back coaching. They've had a sort of conscious decision
to move a little bit more to a style of

(30:28):
you know, directionally, we're in the same way, but we're
going to rely on the players a bit more to
sort of execute and just get the job done. I
don't know that they're focusing as hard on the day
to day details, and that's the kind of thing that
lets you execute on third down consistently. Yeah, you know,
I still think they make the playoffs. But that division

(30:49):
being what it is now, there's not much margin for
error because you know, they're all good in that division.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
You could win ten games, Sam, and not make the playoffs. Yeah,
and that's what I told Kelvin before, that they could
win ten and not make it.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
So we'll see real.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Quick, last one for me, real quick for you, Sam, Rams,
forty nine ers, forty nine ers, lose quarterback, lose players,
lose star defensive But how do they still because like
it wouldn't be shocked anyone if they were to beat
the Rams, how do they keep doing this?

Speaker 14 (31:18):
Yeah, it's crazy. A lot of it is Kyle Shanahan.
You know, that guy's a really good head coach, and
I think until.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
It comes playoff time, I'm just saying go ahead.

Speaker 14 (31:26):
That's the thing. Look, there's a few head coaches in
the NFL that get kind of maligned and you know,
talk down and we focus on on the negatives and
what they're failing to do, but we still forget you know,
they bring a really high baseline to the team. And
Matt Lafleur in Green Bay is the same. You know,
Kyle Shanahan is a really good coach. You can make
this work with a lot of different pieces and a

(31:47):
lot of different players, and an offense in particular. You know,
they're getting healthier, they're getting those bodies banks that they
were missing earlier in the season, and that can still
be a devastating offense with the talent that they can deploy.
The defense. This is a bigger worry because the guys
they've lost there are coming back. You know, Fred Warner
done for the season, Nick Bosa done for the season.

Speaker 8 (32:07):
These are the.

Speaker 14 (32:08):
Best players they have on defense, and they're not writing
to the rescue later in the season. So I think
eventually that's gonna catch up with them, but it might
not be this game. You know, they've shown already that
they can upset the forty nine or that the Rams
when they weren't expected to win, and they're a dangerous teams.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Absolutely, So that's one of the games that were looking
at as well. Sam play the games coming up. Sam,
appreciate you man, Thank you so much.

Speaker 14 (32:32):
Ay time, guys, take it easy.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
No doubt, all right, all the way, we got Checko

Speaker 4 (33:21):
That I do that? Do that?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
What you do?

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Did I do that? Let's go, Alex?

Speaker 2 (33:33):
It better be undefeated, go with nowhere. We ain't all.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
I was one and one last night, Rob, No, when
I got.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Through I'm not using my energy jamming and dancing with
you when you went five hundred, what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (33:55):
But the big one was and Rob, g you noticed
I had the Raiders plus nine last night.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
That was the big come up?

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Right?

Speaker 4 (34:05):
You know that I did have that Hounts the same
in the standing rhyme. But I did have that one
that was a toilet Bowl game one and one.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Last night the cargo shorts, Yes cargo.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
And what sound like that?

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Yes you do?

Speaker 4 (34:20):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
So now the total is sixty four and sixty one.
Tonight they got Orlando minus three and a half. They're
hosting the Celtics.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
Perfect in Orlando.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
What is it? Is it over under? What was it?

Speaker 1 (34:32):
How many times Jalen Brown's gonna rub black dye on
somebody's that's unbelievable?

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Was it that three and a half?

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Now, don't rub on me? That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Uh, San Antonio plus four and a half. Uh, they're
hosting the Rockets, and and you know they've had a
couple of down games.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
The Spurs. I like that with four and a half,
you know what I mean? Maybe come back?

Speaker 5 (34:57):
And then I got the Milwaukee Bucks minus four and
a half, taking on the surprise at Chicago Bulls to
start the season.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
But I like that.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
I got Bucks minus four and a half, Spurs plus
four and a half, and the Magic minus three and
a half. And remember, I'm not telling you who to
bet on, ah haul, I'm telling.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
You who I bet on.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
All right, that is that tire reck player Today.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Roccos look like they may pressure this a bit. Snap
is good. They do bring some pressure and they get
to it. They blocking the boss bouncing around.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
Picked up Denver's football inside the raider fifteen yard line.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Tyler Bedet recovered the block.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
That is, of course, your tirereck Player that they brought
to you by tire Rack.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
That's from Broncos Radio.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Tire Reck for over forty years has been helping customers

they drive shit fast and free back by free Road

tie rack dot com.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
It is the way tire buying should be.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
My gosh, Rob, I know you want to talk about
the Raiders went ahead and fired somebody's special teams coach,
you gots I thought that they should have fired somebody else.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Right, Yeah, what about the offensive line coach Brendan Carroll.
Brennan Carroll is his name, Brennan Carroll? Does this sound familiar?

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Is that Pete carroll Son? Yes?

Speaker 3 (36:34):
It is.

Speaker 5 (36:34):
And you know the NFL is the worst place for nepotism.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Yeah, it gets busy, It is ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (36:41):
I don't understand why these owners allow people to hire
their family and friends. It's just ridiculous. And my only
point is they could what the offensive line? Were they
stellar last night?

Speaker 2 (36:56):
No, they were tras Gino ain't playing great. Loss was
running for his life.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
This is just what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
And the Raiders, let me give you some our bottom
five in sacks allowed and rushing yards per game.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Is that not the offensive line?

Speaker 5 (37:08):
But it's so easy to just say, oh, let's get
rid of we gotta throw somebody to the Wolves because
we had yet another bad performance. When I was in Detroit,
Rob Marinelli had his whole family on the Lions coaching staff.
I thought his son in law should have been fired.
Who was a defensive coordinator? That was another story. Well,

(37:29):
won't get into that. You caught him out about that too.
We won't get into that.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
You asked him about how you go how you gonna
look that man in his eyes and ask him about that.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
It's still the greatest question asked the press conference in
the history of sports, other than probably Doug Williams. I
think when he was asked by a female reporter, how
long have you been a black quarterback? That's probably still
ranks up there. How long have you been a black quarterback?
Can you imagine that.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Man?

Speaker 1 (37:57):
That that I mean like like I can't even like
what did What did she think was gonna be the answer? Well,
you know about two years ago I turned to a
black Can I give you one real quick too?

Speaker 5 (38:07):
And spring training down in Plant City. Uh read the paper.
It said Tim Belcher's first pitch was one o six.
So we're all looking around saying, how in the world
was his first pitch one o six? So there was
a female intern or something working and we asked her
and she said, I heard the PR guy before the

(38:29):
game start.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
He said, first pitch one o six.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
