Our number two on a worship Wednesday. It is The
Odd Couple, Rob Parker kelvin Washington.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Akey, n E.

Speaker 3 (00:35):

Speaker 4 (01:31):
One's gotta go. I see what you're doing here on
that topic.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
As we spend today.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Touching everybody on the show. But let's go here.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
The NBA will continue to talk about, you know, moves
and stuff going on. And you heard earlier Eddie House
was really impressed by what the Bucks did.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
And you know there were people, I.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Guess Jannis supposedly told, was it Chris Haynes, Yes, inside
of Chris Haynes, that he didn't like the way it
was handled, but he didn't say he didn't like it.
And then today basically said he was excited about the
moves that the Bucks have made. Uh, still saying that
he's not a part of making these decisions or whatever. Basically,

(02:19):
you know the front office is doing that stuff. Uh,
you have a problem with the way uh Janice has
handled this, I'm assuming here.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, well my thing is this because then there, you know,
you can kind of you know how this goes. Rob
there's reports to the report and in a response to
the report of the report by this person in the response,
so then you got the latest Ramona Shellburn she had
put out there that that he was not pleased, and
that he actually that he was not pleased with Markey's
decision to wave Lillard, and then he just didn't like

(02:50):
how it was handled, as you mentioned, And then you
have natural lebre response from Damian Lillard. He under Ramona's
uh tweet out there. He responded with it, kind of
using that character in the movie, his nod of resignation,
like yeah, sure, all right.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
So as if Damien is saying, no, he knew what
was up.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
He knew the whole time, And it kind of goes
to conversation you and I were having yesterday. The Bucks
are doing this Yannis means too much, he's too big,
he's the being a part time GM de facto, and
that they're talking to him. If they're trying to keep him,
they're gonna do whatever it takes to make him happy. Right,
This is what we're doing. This is what we're thinking,
This is what we're considering. These are the options we have.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
What do you think? What do you agree with? We'm
thinking about getting Miles Turner.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
What he said, he liked that move there, he was
excited about that, and they're gonna move Damien. He has
to be on the know, especially if they're gonna take
eat a bunch of one hundred plus dollars, one hundred
and twelve million dollars, whatever it is.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
So my thing is this.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I don't like that end of it, to act as
if you didn't know to act well, I didn't like
I was handled if you indeed were you know, know
about this. And I know over the final last five
six years or so, with Lebron kind of getting to
that point in his career with it's only championships that
matter every year, every team, we all go, well, we
know there are a bunch of guys that can be expendable.

(04:09):
We know Lebron is at this point willing to do
anything for a championship. And I guess for me, and
it can be Lebron, it could be somebody in the
NFL quarterback who's on that same trajectory.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
I'd rather know at the end of.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
The season, like yo, unless I'm you know, Luca, I
could go somewhere. I could be traded, I could be released,
I could be cut. I'd rather know it and know
what I'm facing than to think we're trying to come
back battle this thing out, you know, and I'll get
healthy if I'm Damian Lillard and we'll come back and
make this thing happen, or if we just had a conversation, like, yo, man,

(04:43):
you and I both know this ain't working.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
I'd rather move on. You'd be rather move on. The
team is willing to, you know, try to move this
thing on.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So you can go saying Lebron handles stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
No, I'm saying I would rather Gianni's had done that.
I'm saying come to him. And then the act is
if he didn't know act, I don't like he was handled.
I feel as though, if you're Dame, who is tended
to be a straight up kind of guy, I think
he feels as if that was sneaky by Giannis and
now acting like you didn't know because you can't tell
me he's all in. They're gonna communicate with Gianni's. He's

(05:13):
the organization, he's a team, which mean he knows. And
then at all I ain't like how they handled it
all that's kind of crazy. Oh what I'd rather you
straight up come to be like, yo, man, do you
feel me like this isn't working? You would agree, I think,
and let's just part ways or just to be straight
up like I'm not happy with where the team is,
y'all have to make moves. Then to act like you're
just so dumbfouled by this, because to me, that comes

(05:35):
off a little sneaky. I'd rather every time we know
everybody's expendable, we're trying to do whatever it takes a win.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
What'll we got right now enough and anybody can get it.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
If you're brandon Ingram, if you're Kyle Kuzma, if you're
Julius Randall and the Lakers, you're expendable. I'd rather at
least know that than to think it's all good while
I'm rehabbing and this happened.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Rop all right, Well, Kelvin, we've tried this show for
the last ten months. I gotta tell you, I don't
think it's working out.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
And I'm just gonna tell you straightforward to your face
on the show. Is that good?

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Is that you could?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I'm just saying, I'm just you responded to because right
now all I hear is wah wah, that's that's all
I hear.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
I wanted to hear what you're gonna say on that one.
Yeah you want to hear it like that? Yeah, Coley,
that's not Howard that's not how it works.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
And you know this if you're Dame Lily right, come on, man,
Giannis is their franchise player. They're the same way Lebron
can act like he didn't know a d or how
I was in the dark. I don't know what the
move the Lakers are making or whatever. I don't buy
into all that, or when they trade away half the
team for him, as if he didn't have anything to

(06:50):
do with it. My point is, did you have a
front office, you have an owner, you have all this
stuff that's for them to do.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
You don't have to feel like you have to.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Sign off on everything and and put that's not the
onus is on me. They did they come and ask
me or tell me that they're looking to do something.
They didn't ask me for approval. They're they're just giving
me a heads up because they have respect in knowing
that I'm their top player. Now, if you're telling me
he's the one calling and making the trades and all that, now,

(07:19):
now I got something different. But for them to say
we want to do this because Damien is not gonna
play next year, we know that we're trying to when
the East is gonna be wide open. We want to
make something happen. This is some of the stuff we're
looking at. What do you think about him? What do
you think about that? And and I don't think he
went out of his way to be phony, like, oh

(07:40):
my god, I can't believe this happened. He just said basically,
I didn't like the way it happened, rather than I
don't I don't like it, or they blindsided me.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
That's your phony.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I don't know it was handled.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Well no, no, no, But I'm talking about saying I
was blind sided, like I don't know anything about this.
I'm like, like, he didn't at least go that far
where you say, now, you're straight up lying. If you
told me that the Milwaukee Bucks are making moves and
they have included Jannis at all, that I would take

(08:14):
as bs. If he really tried to run that out there,
I wouldn't have said what he said. I'm with you
that you'd be better off not saying.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
What I'm saying. Nothing something from him.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
But he did say something today, which is he's excited
about the moves, so that is a positive thing and
he wants to move forward. So you kind of as
the face of the team, you gotta kind of have
to say something because people want to know, well, what
does Yiannis think about this? You know, if you don't
say anything, then that's kind of weird that a major

(08:48):
player was weighed with one hundred and thirteen million dollars
on his contract and you have no comment whatsoever.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
I think that's weird.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Giannis doesn't really miss at the podium, right, remember Tyrese
Haliburton's dad the whole issue, and then Jannis went up
there and just basically essentially said he was excited it
was his son making a magical moment. I appreciate that
we talked, we wapped it up, We move on. Giannis
usually shoots about not he's better at that than he
ends at the free throw line.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
But this is what I mean. I get your poor.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
That's when you say, yo, me and Dan gave it
a good run, wishing the best, boom boom, playing and done.
But oh, I don't like how they handled it. That
almost sounds as if you're saying, I want you to
still be here.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
I still I don't like the way they had Like.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
They gave him a bunch of money, They allowed him
to go anywhere he wants.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
He being Dame.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
He can now get a minimum deal so a team
can get out to play like he's in a great situation.
So I don't like how they handled it? What does
that mean? And the only other option is like, do
you don't like that they released him? Because they handled
it pretty well in Dame's favor in that regard, So
I just I just think this this is only gonna
get messier as far as what comes out. Not obviously,
they're moving on and Dame will rehab and eventually land

(09:58):
wherever he lands, and the Bucks will trying to compete
even they they just signed Bobby Portis twice by signing
Bobby ports and then signing Myles Turner. But uh, I
just think this is going it's gonna get MESSI or
messier for day. By the way, boy, I tell you,
we're in a unique age where we got some usually
some very grown men and and and and you know,

(10:18):
well respected men.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
And it's a different era.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
You got to like read through cod and emojis nowadays,
Rob like we got.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I don't remember players commenting when other players get released.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
I don't remember that happened in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
We were talking remember when Michael Parsons was talking about
LaMarcus uh Taylor and uh Lawrence Tay.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
I'm not trying to say yeah, and it.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Was he was talking about ah man, that man's money
and this that and good good Grittan's glad he's left.
It's been some some strange conversations, Uh DeMarcus Lawrence. What
I'm trying to say over with players over the last
you know, just the kind of this era now like
jumping out and have to say, I just don't.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
I just think there's a GM and an owner and
all that man leave that to them. That's what they
get paid for. If someone asked you about Dame or
ask you, hey, are you surprised that that you know,
they moved on from him or whatever, you could have
a response. You know what, I thought this was going
to be a great match, and it just I don't know,
if we just didn't get to.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Where we thought they we would be.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
But this is a little surprising to me that he's
not going to be on the team or whatever, you know,
from the standpoint like something like that. So I understand that,
but but I think you're better off not it's too messy.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
You don't want to be in there where people believe.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Like you're running everything, you're moving all the parts, you're
the g the facto GM, because that's where Lebron fell
in when they got rid of all their young players
and every year it's just a bad and then now they.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Coach out the blue will be a coach that you're like, wait,
exactly exactly that stuff for the most part. And I
think this is why I'm saying they might get ugly
for just he might start because just say this this run,
they start off ten and fifteen, it's not looking good
and then he starts complaining. I just think this might
be the first run of a pretty pretty flawless as

(12:15):
far as pr what Yian is throughout the years. This
next little season for him, and by season, I mean
era might be worth a couple of mishaps. Things he
didn't say, weird issues with teammates because he overall hadn't
had too much of that.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Now.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
That Adrian Griffin thing was another thing too, because like
you got y'all let him go to bringing doc and
who I didn't see that with the sense of that
was either. But I just think this last couple of
years what Giannis will be interesting because he has pretty
much an infallible run as far as the pr side
of things, and it might change.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
It is definitely one of those things you don't want
to get too worked up and have too many people
thinking you're running everything. Whose method of roster pressure do
you prefer in the shadows like Giannis or I'll know
like Lebron?

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Which one?

Speaker 3 (13:01):

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Rob and I talking about Giannis Yannis and Dame Lillard
drama and emojis and gifts being passed around, and yann
Is saying he's excited for Miles Turner, but he didn't
like the way the Bucks handled it with Dami Litter.
But on the other end, you kind of feel like
they had to consulted with you. You knew what was up,
so just to thought out how to handle this. You
whether someone be up in front a I'm ready to
make some moves. We're not good enough. We got to

(14:48):
make something happen, or to say, hey, you know, keep
it quiet behind the scenes. I didn't know and how
Yann has handled it eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox,
rob Let's take some calls.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
He ate the GM Tim in Atlanta, you're on the
ho couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
How you doing, Tim?

Speaker 7 (15:02):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (15:03):
What's up? Rod?

Speaker 7 (15:04):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (15:04):
Kelvin? A couple of things. First of all, I don't
like the Lebron way because you know, Bish Wednesday, I'll
use the you know, the Julius sitting at the table
with me, you know, taking the last supper. There's more
sort of.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Lebron's thing, right, But Judas double juice.

Speaker 8 (15:25):
Yeah, exactly. I'd say with with you know, with Jannis,
it's almost if he just went another step. And here's
what I would have done about was with him. I
would have said, you know, I didn't like the way
he handled but this is a business, you know, this
is how we have this is this a business. Anything
could happen. So I think if he's taking that next
step and went with that line because that's always safe

(15:47):
because it's true. It's a business, right.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
And it doesn't matter who you are, you could get traded.

Speaker 8 (15:55):
I love him to go there extra mile and say that,
and I think he'd have been okay, An, he added
to ask your part on.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
This, appreciate him.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Yes, you're going to be at the All Star festivities. Man,
maybe we'll meet in Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Down there. I'll be down there for the whole weekend. Okay,
I plan on it.

Speaker 8 (16:13):
I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
All right, all right, Sureley, appreciate you. Yes.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
What about Andre Dre in Massachusetts? You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Dre?

Speaker 7 (16:24):
Hey, how you doing. Thanks for taking a call. Listen
to me. It's not what you do, it's how you
do it. And I think that the Milwaukee ownership could
have given you on it the heads up and talked
to him. Not that that would have changed their decision,
but it could have been a more collaborative decision. But
based on the way that they did it and how
he immediately responded, this was a command move and executive

(16:46):
decision by the Bucks ownership, and it really, to me,
was a party of the way. I feel that it's
over for Joannest with the Bucks, and I think it's
a missed opportunity because he had talked about being.

Speaker 8 (16:58):
Loyalty like that.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
He said he was excited about everything.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
What what what am I missing? Janna said, he's excited
about the moves. Really, we ain't.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Really made no moves though they just got Miles Turner.
That's it.

Speaker 7 (17:12):
Okay, he's excited about the move. But you go from
being it's still in the conversation with Giannis and Dames. Okay,
did day mean? But now they're not a contender with
Miles turn But.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Dame wasn't playing next year though, Andre, like seriously, like
like you to waste Giannis, You're gonna hold on to
Dame and hope that at thirty six next year he's
gonna be all right. Like it doesn't make any sense.
That's why they ate one hundred and thirteen million, right,
But you.

Speaker 7 (17:41):
Need one hundred and thirteen million for an all star
level player or somebody that's gonna change the calculus. Miles
Turner for whatever's player efficiency is.

Speaker 8 (17:49):
He does not change the fact.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
That yes, but but but I get I get, I
get that point. But Dame can't do anything for next year.
If I'm Giannis, I'm not sticking up. They said, well,
there's noting we could do because we all dame one
hundred and thirty million. We're gonna just have to ride
it out with what we have because we can't spend
any more money.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Do you think Giannis would still be there?

Speaker 7 (18:11):
No, I don't think he would still be there. But okay,
Oh I'm saying is that if you're gonna make these
power moves, keep you honest involved and get a better
return than a fringe all star wed one good season
and went to the finals, and you're paying on the
high end of the pay scale for his count. Thanks
taking the call.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Appreciate you at there. Yeah, that's the thing for me.
Rob Uh. If Giannie was really saying, hey, I don't
I'm not saying I want to leave it.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
I want us to be better. We need more.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
And then I give Bobby Porters two point zero and
really not even as good as Bobby Porters and Myles
turn I don't think.

Speaker 5 (18:40):
I don't think he's as good. Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Then to me, I'm like, okay, how did we necessarily improve?

Speaker 3 (18:46):
You're the only one who thinks I looked at all
these grades from NBA people.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Yeah, they all got a plus the Bucks because what
is it?

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Okay, but.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Not having a player that would be nothing to you.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
I don't disagree with that, like like like that is
a major move. Franchises A small franchise doesn't do that.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
But under that thirteen million dolls, I feel you.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
But if I'm gonna eat it, I want to eat good. Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Can we be somewhere? Can I be at Masstros? Can
we be at mister Childs in New York?

Speaker 7 (19:19):
You know?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Can we be at Noboo or something? And eating all
that money to come up with Myles Turner?

Speaker 5 (19:24):
It's kind of crazy.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Okay, So you are right, I want to ask you this. Yes,
so he will not be with the Bucks next year,
honest that what you're saying. I just want is that
he won't. He's gonna ask out him, will.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Be this is his final season.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
No, I'm now right.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I'm saying he'll play and he's gonna be halfway and
be Okay.

Speaker 5 (19:44):
He's gonna be like, oh this. You know he went
back for a.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Trade now, right.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
He could have asked for a trade after this, after
free agency and what's been done.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
He could have said I.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
Want and I think he's going to say.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
So, you're gonna start hearing in your windows throughout the season.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
They're gonna be oh, right now.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
I'm not happy.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
He's gonna be mad. He's gonna regret it.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
February, everybody, Oh, Yannis, you're dumb.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
I remember all the comments when he didn't want to
go to Miami and he stayed in Milwaukee and he
signed a contract extension. You'll never win. Why would you
want to play there? Giannis is dumb? Why would he
want to play with the Bucks? He had a chance
to go to Miami where they beat him in the
playoffs the year before. Oh, he's well, he's crazy. And

(20:31):
guess what. Miami's two hasn't won a championship, you know,
post the heatles, and and Giannis has won.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
And was able to stick there.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
That's all about Janis himself. I'm holding him his own
standard up. Jannis himself has said he would go crazy
if he only wins one. He himself said to everybody
tells me.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
That doesn't mean he can't win. The East is wide open.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
This team.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
He ain't winning with this team. I can guarantee you that, no,
I can't. You can't guarant this team. Now get it
if I and tomorrow that we find out they signed
somebody else. But as a constructed they ain't winning. This
team is in the East.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
The Knicks are that superior that the choke artists who
you got.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
You have to you have to have shot creators. They
don't have shot cret the Calves. The Calves will beat them.
I don't think the Knicks going to the fun I
don't even think they want.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
I'm serious, their second best.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
The Bucks will be better than the Pistons.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Stop. This is where you have just about homer what
I'm saying. The best record they now have the are
they going.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
To be better? The Pistons are gonna be better than
the Bucks? Yes or no next year.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Let me finish them off season because they're still moves
being made. I got or people being lost, people being added.
But remember this, Jade and Ivy, the Pistons second best
player was out all year with that broken leg. He's
coming back. They're adding talent, a really good player, the
second best player. So that's all I'm saying. That the
Bucks also.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Lost some ball handlers and guards who were good for
that young team they just lost.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
They also lost a good shooter.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Well they lost one who was uh, he was enjoying
some of these gambling sites a little bit too much.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
So we'll move on from that.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
All right, we have Martin White getting ready to get
you set on what's trending right now. We got the
ones gotta go coming up in just a little bit
as well, n STI couple Rob Parker Kelvin Washington on
a worship Wednesday here and we got ones got to
go coming up in a little bit. But I want
to go back to Rob to something Martin just mentioned there.
The Lakers, everybody has been making moves throughout the season,

(22:38):
losing guys, getting guys, trading the whole nine, and they
had been kind of closing quiet, I should say for
the most part, they did lose, uh you know Finny
Finny Smith is going to the Rockets.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
But now they're expected to sign DeAndre Ayden.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Once he you know, clears waivers and all that, he's
gonna get a h He's gonna give back ten million
of the thirty five and a point six million of
his salary with the Blazers. The Lakers, of course, been
looking to get some center, get some some rim protection,
get a big fellow. That's what a lot of people
thought the Achilles Hill was going into last postseason. He's
at a on paper, solid career. If you were if

(23:15):
I just told you, hey, man, there's this guy. He's
averaging about fifteen sixteen eighteen, He's no, That's.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
What I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
If you read the if you just read his stat line,
you'd be like, all right, I mean this sounds like
a solid player. That ain't the case. To me, he's underachieved.
He hasn't gotten better. You know, he's been in the
league long enough. Now sudden the seven seasons where you expect, okay,
he now has this move, he has this shot, he's
gotten better, he's learned here.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
He's not that great of a defender.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
He'll block some shots here and there, but he's not
the greatest defender. And we here reports you and I
yesterday that he's just not a guy that necessarily is
great in the locker room. Always seems to be some issues,
seems to be rubbing people the wrong way. So the
Lakers make the move to get their center. I don't
really like it. To me, it goes from a seventh
seed is where I had him about playing this right

(24:05):
now as constructed today July second to a six and
a half seed like that, the budget does for me
half a position rob for them with DeAndre and that
didn't move me.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
That didn't move me.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
I don't even know if they're gonna be able to
get the best out of him, and I just I
wasn't wild by this move, them getting DeAndre Aiden, especially
if this is gonna be their crown and jewel of
the offseason, if this is the move that they say
when other teams said, we got this person, we got
Kevin Durant, We've got Bruce Brown back along with Cam Johnson.
We did this, we did this, and then they say, well,

(24:39):
what did you do Lakers, Well, we got DeAndre and
that was our big move.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Don't like it.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
I think it's a slight, slight upgrade from Jackson Hayes.
And that's saying a lot because Jackson Hayes didn't even
get any burn in the postseason. So I'm not a
big fan of this move. I think it's gonna be
a major help or bonus elevate them to in the
standings right now in the West.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
What about you?

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, it just it just seems like, uh, I don't know,
basement bargain. Uh, you know, the guy's taking a hit,
giving up money to get out of another situation somebody doesn't.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
Want them, you know.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Like it just I'm not saying he can't be serviceable
or whatever, but I can't see any tremendous upside that
he's gonna wind up being a player that they thought
he was gonna be. You remember, he could have signed
a big contract, remember the whole thing. And it's just
it's just been a disaster, to be honest. I mean
a lot of people had high hopes for him when
he was in Phoenix, and then you remember there was

(25:39):
during the playoffs they wouldn't even play him. Do you
remember that during that stretch he didn't even play There
was there was him and Monty Williams got into it
and whatnot, and and he's just I don't I just
can't explain what has happened, because I do remember him
making a game winning basket at the day or whatever. Yeah, yeah,

(26:01):
you remember, I think he made two of them. No, no,
he made one against the clip. Somebody else made one
against him as well, But.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
That was huge in that series. If you remember that.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
With time running out in the game, but I don't know,
I don't I just don't have any uh wow, the
Lakers stole Ayton, you know what I mean, or the
Lakers while they got lucky and got it just feels
like they need a big body.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
This guy's available and it doesn't cost us that much.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
And if I'm reading, I mean to make sure I'm
reading this correctly, but it is. I mean, it's the
money is kind of substantial and that this is what
I'm paying to get, you know, to get this guy
who I don't think is that much of a difference
maker when there are other there are other bigs out
there who maybe don't have the name, but I could get,
you know, around the same thing as him. And I

(26:50):
think the issue with DeAndre Ayton is and it kind
of reminded me of what he's no ane of the
player because this person I'm about to say is going
to be in the Hall of Fame. But what I
think some of the detractors would say about the person
I'm gonna name, Dwight Howard for the first six seven
years of his You're like, okay, whoa a defensive Player
of the Year and all this, and I think you
started to say people will go, well, where's the improvement offensively,

(27:13):
where's the jump up? Where's the little midi from the elbow?
And you started to have issues with that. Well, at
least with Dwight Howard And yeah, I never got that,
But at least I got was it four time defensive
Player of the Year, you know, demolishing shots, changing shots,
good with his feet, even could do some switching picks
and have to guard guards for a little bit. He
could do that. He was a monster on the rebounds.
You felt his presence tip dunk bringing rims. That was crazy. Okay, Yeah,

(27:37):
his offense never really improved the way I would have liked.
And I think that's the thing with DeAndre Aiden is
there's no improvement really anywhere. He hasn't gotten better with
his shot, he hasn't gotten better with his footwork, he
hasn't gotten better with his footwork defensively. So to me,
that's where you go, Okay, well, where's the improvement And
you look at a God, give you an example of
a guy who's able to alter his game a bit.

(27:59):
Chris Bosh was able to be a scorer in the
rebounder in Toronto. Then he realizes with Lebron and d way,
I don't have to be that, probably won't be able
to be that, and it becomes a heck of a
defensive If he.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
Wanted to do that, he just had no choice.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
But he had no choice the perimeter, and he became
a great defender, great rebounder, and hit Dowt, hit some
shots when you need me, and he changes game. And
some guys been able to do that and find some success.
Kevin Love, I'm giving you twenty eight and fifteen for years,
let me switch up. And other guys have done that
throughout the throughout the course of their careers, and I
just feel like he hasn't done that.

Speaker 5 (28:32):
Aaron Gordon has resurrected his career.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
He was just kind of in wasteland in Orlando, not
doing anything, and you'd see a tip dunk, a dunk
every now and again.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
To become a very quality player.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
And in some cases sometimes they're most consistent in some
playoff series.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
And I just haven't seen that from DeAndre.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
And that's the biggest thing is that he's just been
a guy that flounders and just fluffs around, you know,
just around, and.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
He became just a guy. You don't want that from
a number one pick.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
You don't want that from a guy when you see like, oh,
he's should be more and you don't get.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
That from him. Yeah, I think that's what I think.
That's a big part.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
It's disappointing.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
I mean, I think people had some high expectations, right,
and they just have never lived up to it.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
And and what do you get a two year deal?
How much is the money?

Speaker 1 (29:14):
I thought the money was solved? Thirty Yeah, thirty four
is what I thought. I have to let me pull
it up again here. Uh but yeah, yeah, well I'll
come back with that and uh and have that money
again because I know that the Blazers are gonna be
taking back ten million of his thirty five point six
million four next, next, next, next season. So with that, man,

(29:35):
let's do one's gotta go. It spent a rough day
for my guys. You rob ged and got me thinking
about something when uh those dangd I can't believe they
just have to me moments happened? What's the worst? Which
one's gotta go? We'll explain it next. It's the O

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
I think the the Yankees were they down eight nothing?

Speaker 4 (30:48):
What was the score? I think it was.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
What they didn't did?

Speaker 4 (30:54):
Now it is eight to six.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
They've got six months running the game of it. Yeah,
they made a game. It's too early, it's only the
fifth inning. I'm believing it was ate nothing.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
All right, that's it.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
No, I gotta see what happened? Who did what? I
find that out in the.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Song junk John John Carloston just hit a three run
home run with John Carlos John.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Run or start strike out. That's what it's about to
be at this point, because you know he ain't running
all right.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
One gotta go.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Five crowd is that I'm even number?

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Figure it out? Hear me out? All right, I gotta go.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
This is the man. It's been a rough day for
my guys. So Rob G had some issues with his car.
Won't get in all the details, but a scary situation
for my man, Rob G is so much so that's
why he had to not be here. He's got a
lot going on there. Rob You can tell them what
your issues are real quick as well.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Just of course my car, you know, like my air
kept coming out of my tire you saw yesterday. I
had to go to the gas station before after I
left the station and all that to just get air
enough to drive home.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
And I'm thinking maybe.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
It's just a hole or a nail or patchet. So
of course my rim is cracked and all this other stuff.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
And you know, you know when you're rolling around and whatever, you.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Crazy expensive man, can't you alex Ford Pente.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
It's hard to get rims for that car, so it
costs them. Oh that's what they call a new laborghina.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yes, all right, So you had that car issue, so
I got to thinking, for this one's got to go.
So it's me and you Alex and bow one's gotta go.
The inconvenient adulting.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
Moments in life.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
So when you're at home, you own a home or
an apartment and something in bam, some major plumbing issue happened,
some fifteen hundred, two thousand dollars plumbing issue.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
It happened to the.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Tenant below me. Last night they came knocking on my door.
I was thinking my water was.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Running in my place and they had a mess down stack.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
See there you go.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
And then dental health hospital, meaning like all of a sudden,
you gotta have a random root, canal or crown or
cost you fifteen hundred whatever whatever hospital build same thing.
Now this one for you were I don't know if
you've ever had an animal so vet vet to random
out of the blue, your cat, your dog or whatever,
you had an issue. Now you gotta go to vet
Boom out the blues twelve hundred dollars what the heck?

(33:26):
So that is another one. And then lastly, family or
friend out of the blue, Hello, hey, it's me. I
hate to burden you, but I need twelve hundred dollars
for rent for.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
This, for that. You know, my son that had that
blah blah blah blah blah. We need some help. So
there are your four of your five options.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Now, if you didn't have an animal, or you never
take the vet out, take because that just don't count.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
I want that to be too easy. Take it.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
If I had an animal, I'm not paying twelve hundred
dollars for that.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
See, but you have to have an animal to understand that.
So you have to take an animal. No, I've had
a dog before. I'm just telling you. So you a
dog dive. It was twelve dollars dog.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
I had to put him down.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
He died.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
That's right, all right?

Speaker 1 (34:05):
So then here car dental slash hospital vet home issue.
You know, something happened at the crib or a family
friend hit you up and said, ah, man, let's go.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
Who wants to start it off? Bo? Yeah? Both go first?

Speaker 9 (34:21):
Yeah. I actually I have an auto expense that is
not my fault that I have to make. So if
I could, that would go. I got hit by a
rock on the freeway and that chip in my windshield
has turned into a crack, and they want to replace it.
I want to just patch the patch the hole because
I can still see, but I do not want to
spend the thousand dollars to replace my windshield.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
Right now, that's a deductible. You don't have to know.

Speaker 9 (34:44):
Yeah, my deductible is a thousand, so it does not
pass the deductible. So I got to pay it out
of pocket.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
So I got to pay it out of pocket.

Speaker 9 (34:50):
Okay, I get Yeah, I also don't know what auto
insurances for, so everybody can explain that to me.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Hey, like like like Chris Rock, I said, it's organized crime.
It's in case happens, But in case Blake don't happen,
Can I get my money back?

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Like Chris Rock said, all right, Alex, what you got?

Speaker 10 (35:06):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Same thing? Cars gotta go simple as that, dude.

Speaker 10 (35:09):
We cannot be Rob Parker and just be comfortable driving
around in a Ford pintel.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
You know.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Yeah, it's like Rob.

Speaker 10 (35:15):
He knows he's a man of class. In other ways, myself,
Oh my god, dude, the amount of random crap that
keeps happening. Like BO said, I don't know. I've cracked
my whole window up. I'm good as long I can see,
I'll be ace vent tour and hang out the side
of the car.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
All right, what you got Rob?

Speaker 4 (35:31):
For me, it would be the pet I just can't see.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
That's why you gotta do a nothing one.

Speaker 10 (35:36):
Too easy for I left him outside Allen, all right, Well,
oh yeah, it's been a good ruck.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Look with the twelve hundred dollars, I could buy four pumps, get.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
Rid of the old.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, all right, this for me, obviously, I thought that
I thought you would say that one Rob.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
For me, it is the This one was a tough one.
But for me it's home.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
And I think because I watched so, I tell you,
I spent so many years, you know, we were renting,
and so I got spoiled.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
You know, hey, you know.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Living in a townhost townhouse community. So this is happening,
the blah blah blah, flooding, the bluff. It was kind
of baked into your rent, you know, so you kind
of just got the luxury becoming a homeowner, you know,
for obviously a nice period of time. Now it's on you, buddy,
and everything's on you. That new hot water, take on you,
that new fridge. Go watch the movie. Go watch the

(36:34):
movie money Pit. Money Pit yet with Tom Hanks, absolutely
a great one. So to me, it is a home
because I love my home. I love what it provides
my family. But man, sometimes I'm just like, man, renting.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
Wasn't that bad?

Speaker 1 (36:46):
You know, because every it's on you. There's no variable.
It is on you to pay for that thing.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
It's smart.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
I think in all of these things is there are
times where you feel like you have a little extra money.
Am I right? Like you feel like I got I
got this extra money, and then something comes down. That's
when it happens that that Am I right? You're absolutely right?
And I was gonna finally be able to do that thing,
Rob real quick? Family and friends? How do you deal

(37:13):
with it?

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Since you're a gazillionaire, how do you deal with Hey, uncle, Rob,
cousin Rob, best friend Rob?

Speaker 5 (37:18):
How do you deal with that?

Speaker 3 (37:20):
I mean by case by case basis? And you know,
you got to build credit with me, you know what
I'm saying. But sometimes sometimes you got to help people out.

Speaker 4 (37:30):
You can't.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
I'm the same way, you know, as long as you
don't feel taken advantage of or random wing talked to
ten years Hey, what's up, because it's all right.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Come on now, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
But part of me working so hard and trying to
do all right is that, you know, I want to
be in a position to help when I can.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
Can't help.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Everybody can't do everything, but you know that's part of
the of the grind.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Uh you know?

Speaker 1 (37:50):
But hold on, I wait, check on my tanks that.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
You ain't lying.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Let me go check on my tires right now to
make sure everything is all right real quick. Hold on,
I'll be right back, y'all.
