Speaker 1 (00:31):
Our number two of the Odd Couple on a TV

(00:59):
a little late. We were on this hour a little
shop talk. We do talk about stuff that is not
happening in sports, and so we got a lot of
stuff to talk about. And there's a Thursday night football
game that people aren't that crazy about. I mean, Rob G,
Today's Thursday night football game. Would this be something you
(01:21):
would spend your time on? Or is this only if
you're a fantasy football.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Guy, I would say fantasy gambling, or in our case,
if your job is to watch sports, you're watching it otherwise, Kevin, are.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
You Yeah, I mean I'm watching it just because it'll
be on.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
But like, I'm looking at this game right now.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
This obviously the Guardians and the Yankees, and man, this
is this is gonna be one of those ones.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
But yeah, this is a boring game. You talking about
Broncos Saints.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
I mean, if this were you know, Drew Brees and
Peyton Manning, sure, hippy, but it'll be on just because
it's NFL. We love it and it'll be on. But
there's nothing exciting about this at all.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I mean, the.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Facts are the Broncos being three and three though, because
they could easily be you know, one and four, one
and five.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
But yeah, it's a boring one. All right, Well, let's
talk keep it on football.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
And uh, you know we know that Tom Brady has
been approved as a minority owner.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
What I'm sorry said minority I get paid.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I'm yes, minority As far as money, okay, I'm sorry.
And the big thing is what they put in two
hundred and twenty million dollars for ten percent of the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Uh, I'm you gonna remember the.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Raiders aren't on organization a team that's owned by you know.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Exactly. It's a family owned business. They don't have a
lot of They don't get that. I don't think we
will get that. People don't understand.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
The value is good if you sell it, but you
don't have any money that's laying around like some of
these other places.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
As they say in the streets, can you touch it?
Can you touch your money?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
No? At A lot of people can't touch it.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Yeah, they got money in this thing that I own,
but until I sell it, but I'm just as good
as well.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
You know the deed if you will.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
But here's a story that came out so basically that
you know, Tom Brady's gonna have influence on this and
try to get this thing turned around with the Raiders,
and that he would be interested in bringing his former
coach Bill Belichick to coach the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Let's hear.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
The people have told me that Brady's first move is
going to ask Bill Belichick he was interested in being
coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Two sources have told
me that too high up in the Patriots organization have
told me that and who is.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
This again, Rob kirk Menahan. Kirk Menahan, Yeah, his recording.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Radios and out there in New England Boston area. Yep.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
So, Kevin, I'll start with you just the whole idea
of this and what do you make of it.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I don't like to see.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
This is where people get lazy, right, Bill Belichick is
what I guess'd may be seventy soon, if not already.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
He's in his seventies. Yeah, in his seventies.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
And I just ain't no agism thing this as much
as we just saw at the end of his career
in New England, what an amazing career, Hall of Fame career.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Even though you say no that it wasn't.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
That he cheated, It wasn't well, he wasn't cheating good
enough towards end step is cheat up Now, I think
with this situation, it sounds good. It's what Tom knows,
it's what he had success with. But the fact of
the matter is he and Tom didn't even get along. Now,
they obviously respected each other and were able to work
some things out, but they didn't get along.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Towards the end. You saw how it handled it. He
got Jimmy.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Garoppolo, and they never were really the same since then,
and it ended and he wanted to go to the Buccaneers.
I think that's just retreading, just going to get with
That worked for me, so it works now. You need
to get somebody fresh, somebody with some new ideas, somebody
with some different way and approach. Because Bill Belichick is
not adapting what is working. He's not adapting what is current.
(04:51):
And I think that to me, it would just be
a lazy hire, like an obvious sitting there higher that
wouldn't make any real sense. Go out there, find somebody
in college, go out there to somebody that you know
is like up and comer, and say, man, this person
with somebody who can build with, grow with and have
some success.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
And it's the Raiders. I don't want the job.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
If I'm Bill, there's some great jobs out there or
about to be out there at the end of the season.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I don't want this job from Bill Belichick.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
I think it's more not that the Raiders wouldn't want them,
because you notice it's like Hollywood, Okay, you're out here
in LA They keep making the same movie, right, they
keep making the same movie. No, they don't want to
be original. They don't want to try something new. Wait
a minute, we already made this movie twenty five years ago.
Let's bring it back and exactly Jaws nine. You know, like,
(05:40):
whatever it is, this is what they do. And they
do the same thing in sports. Something that has worked
or or has worked for them, they jump on that,
and they would rather do that.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Than try something new. But I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
The bigger thing is that if I'm Bill Belichick, this
isn't the job I'm waiting around for. I'm waiting around
for the Philadelphia. There you go, that's the job I'm
waiting for.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Give me that.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Or if Mike McCarthy ends up going five and twelve six,
they need dip.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
This's not like that.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
It's a plug and play and everything would be great.
You gotta make some changes. But I would definitely, definitely,
definitely Dallas and Philly those two jobs.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
There's a great chance that they're gonna open up.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Oh man, listen, I'm in Philly, so fast man. You
got a bunch of talent on the offensive in And
I know that's not his strong point, but if he's
wise enough, hopefully he'll say I will finally hire to
my weakness and leave him alone. Let some young, scientific,
amazing offensive coordinator, let him cook. And I can have
aj Brown, Dante Smith, Davonte Smith, and I can have
(06:44):
Jalen Hurts and obviously have some tight ends, have some
Saquon Barkley.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Like, dude, what are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Philly is sitting there, Taylor made to get back to
an NFC championship game, maybe a Super Bowl. If you
can come in there, write the ship, get some identity,
get some leadership, find someone who can unconstapate, can loosen
the bowels of their offense as their offensive lineman, saying,
we're constipated right now. So somebody can come up in
there with some prune juice loosing that thing up. So
(07:10):
if I'm that's the job right there there, Dallas trying
to think who else might be out of the judge
the Jags. If you believe in Trevor Lawrence that much,
at least you start with the quarterback.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Mat and you got to have a quarterback in the NFL.
I mean, there's a lot of stuff wrong there, and
and Trevor Lawrence doesn't make you feel great about it,
but at least he is a franchise quarterback in the fold.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
That you sign what you got with the Raiders, right,
And that's the problem with the.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
Ras I can make you say, bless you what you want,
guard Minshew, because you're tight, see what I mean?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Oh, unless I want to buy a new Cadenza something,
that's where I would go to guard you to Minchew.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Nobody knows, well, shout out to the Michigan people. They know.
People in Michigan know what I know. They know.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
That's why I said, shout to the folks. Shout out
to Garden and White furniture shoppers.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
That's right. Uh, yeah, I'm not. There's too many other jobs.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
And he knows I'm not young, third forty year old
gonna be coaching for Sean McVay twenty five thirty. No,
I ain't got but about it five years max. Not
to mention he's got a girlfriend that's twenty years younger
than me, and I'm only in my forties, so he
might as well. I think he's like, I'm trying to
get to the You know, listen, man, he's on some
(08:18):
blue pills right now.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Life's going even know what's going on? How do you
know he's on that? You? You, as doctor have you
prescribed that for he can't keep up with that. What
I'm telling you you shouldn't be doing that. You don't
know what. You don't know what health and literally what's
going on? Rob Parker, cough twice.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
If that's what you're on right now, I say that,
cough twice.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
All right, Good, he's on.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
He's got something a little more that can attainable that.
I mean, that should take his attention. So I don't
even know if he wants to coach. Man, they're paying
him a bunch of money to talk. He wants to coach.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
He wants the old time wins record you can't from
Don Shuler.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yes, he wants to coach.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Bill Belichick is not going out where he's gonna be
second all time, and it's with him reach what is it?
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Got ji years? Fourteen? Right?
Speaker 5 (09:00):
I got only got to do is win seven eight
games a year and he has the all time record.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
You don't want to retire with that.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
Five years the Raiders. He better not go to the Raiders.
Then that's gonna be a five year plan.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
If alright, if they win five games, fourteen games in
five years, it's been a really bad rode.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Well, man, I'm telling you what, I'm going to agree
with you, guys.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
I agree with you that if I'm giving the choice,
Philly is probably the top of the list of all
the jobs that might be available. But here's the question.
So Bill Belichick, the reason why things went sideway so
quick in New England is because he's one of those
dudes who thinks he can be the GM and the
coach at the same time. He's like, Hey, if I'm
gonna make the meal, at least let me buy the groceries.
(09:46):
And one thing that the Raiders would have going for
them that Philly Dallas, what the Giants whatever other team
is not going to have is the Raiders are going
to be a clean slate. So he's gonna get the
opportunity in Vegas if he were to take it to
be the guy that he's always wanted to be and
has been for the last decade or so, where he's
(10:06):
calling all the shots. If he goes somewhere else he's not.
Do you think that still is appealing to him in
that regard.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I understand that that part of it, but I do
think that even more important than that is winning consists
something on the table for him, and it ain't about
He's cemented, as far as he's won six Super Bowls,
he doesn't have to win a Super Bowl. Does he
want the all time wins righting for as a coach. Absolutely,
(10:32):
you're too close not to want it. You're just too close, Kelviy.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
Yeah, I mean you know, listen, he's too close to
get that title. I think also, why not get another
ring and catch up with Brady. I do think that's
in the back of his head. I don't think that
that's a I don't think it's Yeah, I agree, that's
why I said the back of his head. If it's like, hey,
that's why going to Philly, Right, they've been there before
a couple of years back. They got a really good
quarterback when he's at his best, they had a bunch
(10:57):
of weapons. Maybe they just need some guidance, a systems,
some leaders. I'm going there, win a bunch of games,
beat Don Shuler, smack him out the.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Way, and have a chance to tye Brady. Hey, I
ain't mad at that.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
And like I said, then I walk up from the
sunset and then he's going to get a whole bottle
of blue pills.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Why are you so sensitive about these blue pials.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I'm just saying I'm trying to be real.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
All right, Here we go eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three
sixty nine. If the Raiders offer Bill Belichick their head
coaching job, should he take it? It's a simple question.
We'll continue that conversation next with you. It is the
Odd Couple on a TV Theme Song Thursday, Rob Parker
along with Kelvin Washington right here on Fox Sports Radio.

boys on a TV Theme Song Thursday. By the way,
if you want to call in a little bit later on,
the number is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
He is Rob Parker, MLB bro.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
On all social media, I'm kub live also Odd Couple FSR.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
We want to hear from you there as well. Comeing,
Kelvin O. I'm sorry, I don't know you didn't do that.
Go ahead, coming, I was.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Just gonna say, coming to live for the ti rack

sixty percent off and free ship and holler me Rob.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I was gonna say, fireworks in Queens. Yeah, Tiny hit
home run and then Vento hit a home run. It's
one one. What inning are we in, rob, GEZ. That's
second inning, second inning going on? Man, Yeah, just a
lot going on in the playoff games. No, it's still
the first inning.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
Still the first inning. You got the Yankees with one
on second and third. It's too much going on right now. Man,
This is baseball overload right now.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Right now, yep. And the Yankees trying to add some insurance.
They only lead by one in the ninth inning. All right,
here we go eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
talking about Bill Belichick, and you know, Tom, the report
coming out of Boston is that maybe Bill Tom Brady
would want to hire Bill Belichick. And whether or not
that would be good. Let's go to Andre in Massachusetts.
(13:38):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (13:40):
What's up, Drake, what's going on?
Speaker 8 (13:43):
Thanks for taking the call. From Bill Belichick's perspective. Look,
beggars can't be choosers. So an opportunity at this particular
point in time is music to his ears. Never mind
the TMZ stuff and the fact that he's gone way
kind of off the defense, not being away from football.
You know, mister, do your job and say as little
as possible in the press conference.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
And now now he's he's chatty Kathy, right, It's amazing.
Speaker 8 (14:07):
Yeah. And so you know, we see these type a
personalities in particular. Sometimes they need to be in the mix,
they need to be in the in the arena. And
so having the relationship with Tom Brady just an opportunity
in and of itself. I think it'd be great for
Bill Belichick. Now here's the caveat he's gonna have to give,
right having this year. It can't be.
Speaker 9 (14:26):
All his way all the time.
Speaker 8 (14:27):
Having all, you know, having complete control. Those days are done.
And I think he's eating a little bit of humble pie,
and so he's willing to accept that fact that he's
gonna have to work with the general manager. But at
the end of the day, it's getting you know, he's
not he's he's older, he's getting towards the end.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Wants that record to Dre. Let's not act like that.
He doesn't want the record.
Speaker 8 (14:46):
He does one hundred percent. So this, you know this,
when opportunity presents himself to take it by the horns.
I think it'd be a good opportunity for Bill and
the Raiders to just turn themselves around. Get the cashet.
Thanks taking the call.
Speaker 9 (14:56):
All.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I appreciation it.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
I hear you, Dre. I just don't. I just it's
just too much building. I ain't nobody got time for that.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
I'm used to winning. I'm used to success. I'm used
to something being ready to go. I don't want to
have to rebuild. I'm too old for that.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Right, I agree, Just too old. Bobby and Florida, you're
in the odd couple. Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Bobby?
Speaker 2 (15:16):
I know where you've been.
Speaker 7 (15:17):
Bobby that's been nuts. But I listened every night. Calvin,
you're doing a great job.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Appreciate you awesome. That's great, Bobby. I'm glad to hear
that that you're out there. I didn't know if he
turned us off or not. I'm glad, Bobby.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
Don't settle down, Rob, he wasn't gonna do me like that.
I'm all right, relaxed a little bit.
Speaker 7 (15:36):
Rob and I have always gone out it with Tom Brady.
We went together at it a long time, many times. Yes, sir, anyway,
Rob and Calvin, what do you think? This might be crazy?
But I love that Rady gets pelliwchecked in there and
then somehow figure's out the way. How he can play?
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Oh no, come on, no, Tom Brady. No, Well, he
would have to sell his interest. He couldn't do it right, Rob,
g He had to officially retire, and he couldn't be
a player and own a team. So if he were
to come back and play, he'd have to give up ownership.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I was about to say, I mean, I don't put
it past him.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
I think fellaw Chucks should go to the Giants.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah, he could go back to where it all started, right. Yeah,
he was a defensive coordinator for Bill Parcells right when
they won the two Super Bowls, so that would make sense.
Thanks for the call, Bobby, and I'm glad you're doing well.
How about Brandon and we know Nevada you're in the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio?
Speaker 2 (16:36):
What up?
Speaker 7 (16:38):
Not much?
Speaker 9 (16:38):
How you guys doing, Man, I just wanted to change
the topic a little bit and say, Man, I really
hope the Dodgers lose to Night. My boss is a
die hard fan. He coached my older brother. He has
been around, and he will not stop talking about the Dodgers.
You know, I'm hoping that uh, you know, whoever's starting
(16:59):
pitching ends up, you know, giving him the most innings.
I think he's gonna win the series and the end.
And Otani just blows me away how he is? Oh
for whatever was runner with no runners?
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Well, well tonight he let off with a home run?
Yeah he let off. Yeah take that, Bobby.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Yeah, that's the first time he's gotten one mite.
Speaker 9 (17:20):
That's crazy. Well maybe they need to move him in
the lineup, or maybe he's finally heating up, but I
appreciate it the time.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Guys. All right, Yeah, well you know what, Thanks Bob.
I'm glad we could let him vent, rob but you
ain't trying to hear you. I try to hear all that,
trying to listen. I mean, I'm mad.
Speaker 5 (17:35):
I can understand that. You know what I mean, and
sometimes you just need to vent. He's wrong and his
boss or whoever it is, gonna drive him crazy because
the Dodgers ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 5 (17:54):
We you and not been having a conversation really pretty
much throughout this whole season of justin fields and kind
of what to do.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
And we've differed on it a bit.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Uh. For me, I thought he's played well great, no,
but well best of his career, got the team four
and two. They were a last second touchdown away from
the Cowboys from throwing a touchdown from being five and one.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Right.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Uh, he is on pace to have thirty two hundred
yards passing almost seven hundred yard two hundred yet twenty
eight touchdowns and three interceptions had he continue, and who knows,
maybe more than that, but it looks as if it's
gonna be Russell Wilson. But the reason why I'm big
on Justin Fields for the future, I'm not even mad
if they want to go to Russell Wilson do I
want to? Is because of things like this. This is
(18:38):
why I think he's there. Guy the future hit me.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
They got play you know good enough.
Speaker 9 (18:43):
I'm being real with you.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Well, if I'm being ruined myself, I think if you
know I did play well enough, I don't think there
would be any for.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
You.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Got a few wins, of course, got that, but you
know there's areas that you better.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
So I don't know if you can hear it, it's clear,
and I'll just kind of reiterate some of the things
he said. He said, Hey, I don't think I played
good enough. Otherwise basically we wouldn't be in this position
that I talked to you. But what I'm saying is
I like, first of all, he has played good enough.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
No he has not. Look at that. Absolutely stop with
the win numbers. If you go look at the pounding
person who don't care about winning the homes five and.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Oh is he not starting in there?
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Four and two? Why is he not starting? And that
is the decision Mike Tomlin wants to.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Make but if you read the numbers, the passing numbers
are bad. There are not a good He doesn't pass
well enough.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
And that's the year I gotta stop acting like Russell Wilson.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Is that Russell Wilson years ago? Stop with that.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
It's that that Justin Fields has been on two teams.
They got rid of him Chicago, he came here. Can
you imagine starting three and oh and four and two
When you lose your job, it's because the numbers aren't there.
They're not kidding themselves and how they're winning. They're winning
by defense and field goals.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Stop.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
But you act like that's the same thing that the
Patriots or the Patrick Mahomes and the and they chiefs.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Stop in the same conversation as Justin Field.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
Stop, No, I'm talking about the team multi How did this?
How did the Seattle Seahawks win the lesion of boom?
And Russell Wilson was a manager of those first couple
of years there. Ben Roethlisberger, how did he win? Pittsburgh Steelers?
Speaker 2 (20:32):
So you know this, but but the Steelers don't know this.
Is that what you're saying, No, they're makes a decision,
what the decision based on.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
If you tell me that they have the legion of
boom defense Philadelphia Pittsburgh, and they got the quarterback just
like Russell Wilson, So why are they not sticking with them?
They're watching and they realize how he struggles to consistently
throw the football, and they want a chance to win.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
They haven't won a playoff game. If you want a
playoff game, wait from you. Five and one.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
And I hope Russell Wilson as good as you say,
because they have the twenty good as you have a
miny no it is, they have a mid twenties offensive line.
I hope he's as healthy as he says, because Justin
Fields has been dealing with that offensive line. Yet he's
still doing this well five touchdowns in the air, five
touchdowns on you that I'm not done. Albert Brier, who
(21:22):
I know you respect, is putting out multiple sources that
there are quote a ton of people in that place
right now that feel like Russell Wilson would limit them
on offense in a way that Justin Field does not,
which I think is a big part of the reason
why so many people there just wish that Tomlin would
stick with fields. I told you that team believes. I
can't speak for Mike Tomlin, clearly team with that team
(21:44):
believes in him.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Rober is that hell is this thing on? I feel
like you right now. I just told you.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
Albert Brier, who is hyper connected, just said a bunch
of people there are like, yo, Tomlin, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
We're winning? Had a chance to be five If.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Dumblin has had the same situation the last few years
with quarterbacks who aren't good enough to win in the postseason,
You're not gonna bring a quarterback who's won a Super Bowl,
who's finally healthy and not kick the tires and put
them back out there to see if Tom Brady won
at forty something years old, and you look at some
(22:22):
of these older quarterbacks, you're gonna give him a chance
to do it. Now, he might not do it. You
might realize in four games that no, he's not good enough.
But there's no way you're gonna continue to not be
able to throw the ball and have a quarterback that
won a Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
It ain't gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
So you were so My point of bringing this up
in the game is sound wasn't the necessarily the best
to hear them. But what I like about Justin Fields
is he's taking accountability. He's saying, hey, maybe I could
have been better. I like that because he could have
pout it. He could have said, man, I played good enough.
I'm you know, four and two and blah blah blah blah.
He said, you know what it is, what it is,
I could have played better, and if I played better,
(22:59):
I'll put myself in a position where this wouldn't be happening.
I like this kid. I think they got their guy
in the future. Russell Wilson may come in and play well.
I'm not listening. He's a Hall of Fame caliber, if
not a Hall of Fame quarterback. Not arguing that. So
if he comes in and he plays well, that's great
for him. Die this heel hill with the heel.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
But no, the heel is.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
I think they got their guys, even if Russell Wilson
finishes this year.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
When they were three and oh, I tried to I
telegraphed this to you when they were three, and oh, I.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Told you you were there.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Oh, he not going Roger Wilson not going in unless uh,
unless there's an injury or so.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
I can't see him playing out this year at all.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I told you this from Jump Street they were three
and oh, and I told you that he was Justin
Fields wasn't going to be the quarterback all year.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I told you you did tell me he didn't get Listen,
he didn't get.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
The job because he beat him out in training can
and I heard him get Also, don't get paid to
tell you what somebody going to do.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
I tell you what Kelvin Washington believes, and I don't
know what Mike Tyler gonna do. I know what I
would do, and that is Keith Justin Fields on there
because I like what he's doing. I like where he's going. Clearly,
I just mentioned a bunch of the players and the
team does. So it's gonna be interesting because it looks
as if Russell Wilson is getting it.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
But by your cow too, rob g. What is he
even saying?
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Why doesn't he just say Russell Wilson's the quarterback? Why
don't he just say it? He ain't said it yet
either in that regard. He ain't screamed Russell Wilson's the quarterback.
I told you Mike Tomlin is playing these two girlfriends
right now and I'm about to date both of them
at quarteram. And I told you that's what he was doing,
and that's why he wasn't committed Justin Fields or Russell Wilson.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
He's just dating both of these guys right now.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
Because your point, he could have easily screamed Russell Wilson
looks healthy, looks great, he's my guy.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
He could have been dead that by now.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Well, he wasn't healthy though he's healthy now, and as
soon as he got healthy, he made the switch.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
It didn't matter what to w What switch.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
You keep talking about. I don't know the switch because
he ain't screamed it like you want him to.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
So you said, what are you saying that he's not?
That he's not that he's not.
Speaker 5 (25:01):
I'm saying, Mike Tomlin is playing a Jedi mind game
right now with I don't know.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
How So so you mean to tell me that the
conversation that was had with Justin Field's way, he says
he didn't play well enough. That's why he's in this situation.
He thinks he's playing, so he thinks he's starting. Oh
what I'm saying is so I don't want it.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
Your desire was for Mike Tomlin to come out and
say Justin Fields is our guy, bam flat out, point blank,
or Russell Wilson's our guy, bam flat out point blank.
He ain't did that yet either. That's why I keep
telling you it looks like he's gonna start. I ain't
heard it from the coach yet, and I don't understand
to Europe, but why is he Hey, if this is
the guy, then why he ain't said he yet?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Now?
Speaker 2 (25:42):
The only thing he was the name the starting quarterback
to start the season.
Speaker 5 (25:48):
What in the work man? We are four and two
since then? I don't know what's going on. I can't
tell you what happened two weeks ago. You want to
tell me about what happened in off season. OTA's all
I know is I ain't heard it. And the only
thing I heard from Mike Tomland was I don't know.
Maybe we'll play both of them. That's the last thing
I heard from Mike tomlind is I don't know. Maybe
they'll both get some action.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
All right, hang on to that if you will. I'm
just telling you the facts. The fact that a fact
for him.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
You screamed for him to screen. I told you that.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
I told you that Russell Wilson would be the starting
quarterback as soon as he got healthy. It's just, it's
real simple. This would not have happened if Justin Fields
had a golden opportunity. Okay, the guy gets injured, the
guy was named the starting quarterback. If you come in
and they're four and two and he's playing well and
throwing the football, it would be a rap. The future
(26:40):
is with Justin Fields. I agree with you, but he didn't.
But he didn't play well enough for them to turn
the pad on a Super Bowl winning quarterback.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
This is that's my real question. Do you think well,
I mean you kind of just answered. I was gonna
ask you that as much of it is he hasn't
played good enough, or is it the ooh like let's say,
let's say you're back out on the Dayton streets.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Right, this is a serious question.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Just stood up again. I'm done, day Yeah. I listen, Bro,
I wish I was there. I would give you a
bear hug right now. I know how we all well
some of us ain't never been there. But I get it, Bro,
you know what I mean. Listen, you got the girl,
rob g you jump in on this too. Mary, when
you you know, reach out there in streets too.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Mary don't care about listen. Listen. I'm not Hey, I'm
not listen. You're in this.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
You got this girl, and she's she's beautiful. Things are
going well, going great. But you just met that other
girl a week before, and you you haven't quite dated
her yet, you haven't quite went out yet. You're still
gonna go out with the other one, just to see
what it is. And I think it's more that than
Justin Fields has didn't play well enough.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
I think it's yeah, he clearly he didn't play great.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Clearly none of us are saying he was out there
lighting it up like he was Patrick Mahomes three years ago.
What I mean is, I think it's more the curiosity
with Russell as opposed to man, he just ain't good enough.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
That's what I think. I think.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
If it were who's another solid backup quarterback, if it
were uh Sam Sam Darnold, it'll be like you confused
with all the top dance and what's going on here?
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I'm in the dating analogy was fire.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
It's just basically it's just basically like, Okay, you have
two people.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
You can't just like Mary know right, you can't write
one off just because like, okay, you know you still
got to give him a chance for.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
You got to ring on it. You don't eliminate the
side piece, right, Rob Parker, you know that.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
You can still datum you're single, and that's what he's doing.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
And I think it's more that than less Justin and
than Justin Field just ain't got it. I think it's
I think it's Ooh, I like what I got there,
but ooh, let me just see. Let me just see
what's going on over there. And you know what the
old players used to say, I have been to club, Rob,
don't mess up on a sure thing trying to get
another thing. That's all I'm saying. You know about what
them old players used to say, shop shop talk on
(28:48):
the period, shop talk all the way. And also, somebody
is living beyond their means. Will tell you who we're
talking about. It's Rob Parker, kelvin Washington.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
This TV show? No, what is this?
Speaker 5 (29:27):
This is from the original Power It was actually I
was late to it. Can't lie it was on. It
was Popping doing his thing for about two to three
years before I was like, Ah, everybody's talking about everybody's
putting on my timeline. I was like, I don't know that,
and I finally sat down and watched it. I'll tell
you a compliment to fifty cent of these listening everybody
that was involved in that show. My wife watched it
(29:50):
with me. That right there is the litanus test to
know if you have something good. She does not watch
any shows like that, has none of the time. So
the credit to all of them for that first original.
All the spinoffs I pass on, but the original.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
The second one is good, though Powwork two is really
good watching the show.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
You know, me and Fiddi are both from Jamaica, Queens
and we spent a first class fight flight talking together
between Hartford, Connecticut and Detroit.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
That's all the man. I feel so bar bad for him.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
I know what it's like to sit next to you,
so he had to deal with that too.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
My bad fit.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I'm sorry, and I'm gonna say, unbelievable baseball game?
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Did you see what just took place? I'm looking at
the Dodger what just happened? In the Yankees Guardians? It's
a tie game two while two run home run, Oh boy,
in the ninth.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
I told you it's too much right now. I can't
even keep up right now? Man, you know what I mean.

Ain't nobody.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Ain't nip being a bomb shop?
Speaker 5 (31:07):
You know that.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Ain't nobody you would talk about whoever, whatever, whatever you
want to in the boss Why you not?
Speaker 2 (31:14):
It's shop talking, That's right, it is shop talk.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Here on the Odd Couple a segment where we talk
about something happen outside of the world of sports. This week,
we're cheating a little bit because this week's topic comes
to us from the world of sports, and that's because
Angel Reese went viral this week yet again for saying
on an Instagram live video that her rent, which is
about eight thousand dollars a month in her apartment, is
(31:37):
more than what her monthly income is as a WNBA player,
which is about sixty hundred a month. She joked, ha,
I'm living above my means. My wnbacheck, don't pay a thing,
don't pay my car note, couldn't buy a sandwich with it,
wouldn't be able to eat. Now, obviously she makes more
money on endorsement and things like that, so she's not
really living above her means. But Rob will start with
(31:57):
you your thoughts on what she said at number that's number one,
number two when the last time that you lived above
your means faked until you make it.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
First of all, it's so ghost and so ridiculous for
her to go on there when people are really scuffling
and struggling to pay rent and talk about how she
can't pay make her ends meet, and she's paying eight
thousand dollars a month for ran and all that.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
It's just it's fraud. It just totally fraudulent.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Okay, she's not being evicted, and then and still the
money that she makes, people would wish that they could
make the kind of money that she makes for playing
the game. So I just feel like it's it's uh,
it's fake, it's phony, woe with me, and it just
doesn't it doesn't come off great. And as far as
(32:44):
living above your means, I am one of those living
below my means.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
I live below my means. Had whatever Gucci had and
a Gucci hoodie on.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Just because I'm not in the studio right now, You're
still gonna put some of this online, right you know
they're gonna see you with a fifteen hundred dollars hoodie
and a four hundred dollars hat on right now, right.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
No, But I'm not here crying on belly aching that
I can't pay the rent on whatever on social media.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
I'm out, Rob, that's the part that's bad as well.
Before I get to that, Rob D, do you can
you give me context? What's she on the podcast? Having
fun tongue.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
In Instagram live and she was joking about how little
she makes as a WNBA play.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Now I think this really while we can talk about
her as far as like, oh, you know, you're disrespecting
people who really are struggling paying rent. I get that
there's more of a shot at the WNBA, is what
she was really taking. And I think it was a
shot at the WNBA because singularly her as well, I
guess you could say so, not singularly, but the two
Kaitlyn Clark and anduries Man, they brought so much money
and income and conversation. Yes, Kaitlyn carried most of that,
(33:51):
but both of them, right the storyline coming out of college.
I think it was a shot at WNBA, Like what
is this little old puny paycheck y'all paying me? I'm
getting more from Barbie from you know how she always
talks about she's a Barbie and getting endorsements there and
endorsements here.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Yeah, but that has nothing to do with the rent
and her paying her bills when she has endorsements. If
you want to say the pay structures bad, say the
pay structures bad.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
That's what I think she was trying to say.
Speaker 5 (34:14):
No, one thing I've learned. One thing I learned, you
have high expectations from twenty year olds. Boy, I tell you,
do you know what you would like when you were twenty.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
I was like, wow.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
She was like, I don't you have these amazed at.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Money into people's faces in a real world.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
It's just there's no reason for it. She's doing she's
doing really, she's doing well. Are you kidding? She's doing
way better than most people. Can't do what out of doubt?
Nobody's just she's in the top two.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Percent crying talking about she don't have enough money to
pay her eight thousand dollars a month rent.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
Come on, mate, she was being glip tommag and cheek
having fun. I don't think anybody took it that serious. Also,
she's sweat. I don't twenty twenty two years old. Listen,
another twenty two year old is telling me they don't
know nothing, ain't seeing nothing, name been through nothing, and
so yeah. But I do think it's a shot at
the w NBA saying this little puny little check, I'm
(35:10):
making sixty two hundred dollars a month.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Whatever it is. She know that.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Attendance is six thousand there the WNBA. Does she understand
it before before Caitlin Clark showed up, I mean, no miniscrit,
but I think.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
That's a great point.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
I think there's a great point for her saying you
just talked about Steve de Seger just talked about the
ratings being up, things being up for them, and I
think she's you know, a great point in saying, hey,
we need some of that money. But to that, they
got to continue to find ways to bring it up.
But she's getting mad money elsewhere. That's why she's got
a podcast, that's why she's doing fashion, that's why she's
doing all these other things, endorsements all over the place.
(35:46):
She's popping up at every event. She's perfectly fine. We're
in agreement with that. Aelies ain't hurting for money, and
that is top with this. I do think it's kind
of wild.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
I know she was joking around, but does she know
that I got to produce eleven show was a week
to make whatever the money you mentioned in the NBA
like just saying, so.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Don't worry about rob J It's coming man.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
Let me let me give me like two more years
a right, and then I'm gonna I got you, bro,
We're gonna do some big things.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
I'm gonna start this late night, that's you know what
I mean. So you're gonna come. Yeah, I got you bro'
gonna talk about it, talk about it later.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
But other than that, as far as living above your means, man,
I've been doing that since two thousand and five.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? I mean you,
I just got rid of it.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
But have you seen the truck I used to have
the fig from by four trucks.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Putting three hundred dollars worth of gas.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Exactly because I'm I'm five to seven on a good day,
and I gotta lifted trucks. So it took me twenty
minutes to get up into it. But I did feel
good driving. I'm telling you so, yes, I had no problem.
I need to live above my means more. Honestly, I
need to stump more. I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 5 (36:45):
I gotta that's my new Year's resolution coming up in
twenty twenty five. I gotta stump more. I gotta have
Gucci hats and jackets and hoodies. Look at me, I
got the same outfit as Rob Parker, except mine is
Nike and then a new La New.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Era little Dad hat or whatever.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Says twenty twenty five is a year a k dove
stunting on them.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
That's what's happening for me guys next year? All right?
You down with that, Rob? I need to take a
lesson from you. Good brother. Hi Hi. A couple more
coming up Fox Sports Radio
