it was Ig said, I haven't heard from Tim Kate
since Tony Bruno had a show. That's all long ago.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I guess I thought that was really Also, don't do
my guy case like no, but.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
He've met national yeah nationally here. Yeah, little worry talk
to Tim Kates will do that. And we just had
just had a nice little visitor, didn't we We did?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
We did? That was random too, That's what happens when
you live in La too. Man. Do we have Jealette
run up in here now?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Of course you know him from Family Matters, A little
White Jelil White as Steve Rkle. He's hosting a game
show now, he's got a book out now, getting his
hot yoga on, which is literally like fifty feet from us. So, yes,
looking pretty mad that we didn't that. Yeah you didn't know.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
No, he didn't had no idea.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I shook his hand. I had no idea it was,
but yes, you guys in the kitchen. He looks at me.
I was like, what's up? We shake hands? I was like,
all right, cool, Oh my god with the red on. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know who he was. I guess all brothers
looking like Rob there you.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Go, I would have seen him. I would have known.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yes what you saw like profile, it's the back.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Of his head when he was in there talking to
you guys.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, he's got a book out right now, he's got
a game she's got a game show out.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
He's been making a round. It takes a good hand.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yes, he shakes a good hand. There's a firm you
there's a level the wait, god, here's what he doesn't.
You're like, oh, I don't like firm handshakes. If you
start squeezing my hand, I go limp, oh, I don't
like being squeezed.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
You know you're in the middle like a good stop.
I didn't say I saw your eyes.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
You know who has a weird handshake. He's your guy.
You did radio with him for years.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Oh Mike Stone, yes, oh yeah, what is that?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
It's just like I like what fish but but Stony
who we all love, but Stony won't even look at you.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
It is the craziest contract.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Like, like I told Stoney wants you went out to lunch,
Like you've got to look at me, and we're going
to go out to lunch.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I'm not about to be here. I'm not like look
at me. When we're talking. Please, Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
But on the radio, he's gotta do this, Matthew Stafford
and this and like that. In person, Hey, what's up man,
it's so funny the contract. Yeah, so shout that Julia
White just went by. You don't want to talk to get.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Him one by the way.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, yeah, he had his wife and wallet and he
just was nice enough.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
We saw him before you get out. Tell me it's
a good handshake. Tell me who who? Tell him he
has a good handshoke.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Will I'll tell him that. I don't know how he'll
take that, but he's a real one. He'll be like
for sure, for sure. Yeah, that's weird. I gotta check myself.
Markin why he keeps stretching your leg out?
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Was going to stretch in front of me? Keep stretching
his leg out there, let's get to it. Well, let's
go here.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Cam Ward of course, uh, who was expected to be
drafted and the top quarterback?
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Right or back and forth? Two or three? I don't
you know.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
But he had some warning the NFL teams, which I
think is kind of weird. Uh, Bree, can you give
us the story? Fill us in on this.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Yeah, so he was actually getting ready to receive like
the Davy O'Brien award as the nation's top college quarterback.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
So he told you it's a great honor. It's a
great honor.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
It congrats to him. He said, Okay, you're either going
to draft me or you're not. If you don't draft me,
that's your fault. You've got to remember you're the same
team that's got to play me for the rest of
my career.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
And I'll remember that end quote.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Didn't JaMarcus Russell say the same thing?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Very similar?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
He did. I'm just saying like it. I'm just saying.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Why, Like nobody's saying if anybody say he's dropping to
the second round or something, or he's not going to
be a top two or three pick, Like I don't
even like to what so am I missing?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
You're not.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
It's not like he's dropping down onto the last pick
of the first round or second round.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Dude, you're gonna be somewhere up in there one, two, three, four, five?
Was it was that to say you better drive me first?
Is that? Like?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
So, if you've ever heard him talk, if you've ever
seen him in a rack, especially when it's he's truly
being authentically himself. He's he's very brash, he's he's very confident.
There's a video that's just oh no, no, no, I
like that. I think that's his way of putting some
stink on it, like, hey, you know that that that
whatever it takes for me to be where I need
(05:32):
to be like this.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
But to me, it sounds like he's saying I gotta
be the first overall pick and if you otherwise, because
it's not like people are saying he's going to drop
to the fifteenth or eighteenth or anything like that passably.
So I don't understand what what the chip on the
shoulder like, like for real, the conversation should be I'll
be blessed no matter who, no matter who decides to listen,
(05:56):
this always comes doing it for forty.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Years, No, but always ringing.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
No, it doesn't always rings, and I always got to
hear the odd come. I think our show is starting,
but no, it's your phone with the old ring tone
from the show.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yes, I know it's so bad, but my point is
there's got to start over there.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
My point is that you don't need to go that route.
The conversation should be I would be great. I'm happy
to go. Whoever decides and thinks that I'm the talent
and they want to hire me, that would be great.
I can't you know what I mean, The opportunity to
be drafted in the NFL would be a dream come
true rather than all the other stuff. There are people
(06:31):
We saw Aaron Rodgers sit in that room and drop
and drop and drop. And this guy's going to the
Hall of Fame. Lamar Jackson drafted in the second round,
right last picking first all right, last pick of the
first and guess what, you know, how many teams passed
on him and it and this guy's won two MVPs
and more to go. You know, like like, so, I
(06:54):
I don't understand why you would have to say that.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
It just comes off.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
I don't think that would change anybody's line from drafting them.
But you're writing checks everybody who's drafted, and top quarterbacks
guess what, they don't all pan out.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
That's true, not just a fact.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I think what he's I think what he's doing is
the self made motivation. Michael Jordan, what you say about
my mama, whatever it takes to.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Get wasn't even the first overall pinch.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
I'm talking about, Like how you know, guys motivate themselves,
like whatever it takes, I'm fired up. This is how
gona be. I'm gonna make you pay for it, just
because that's how I have to be wired and locked in,
and I think that's what he's doing. The only thing
I would say with that is, hey, you don't want
to set the tone for you're going to be that guy,
especially remembering the quarterback position is different than any other
(07:44):
position because you are the face of a franchise. You
become the spokesman for a franchise, You become the embodiment
of a franchise, and so you don't want to necessarily
have folks think, oh, he can't run this organization. And
I don't think it'll all of a sudden he'll drop
from top to top thirty. But maybe you would have
went one, but they feel like they're gonna go with
somebody else. Maybe you were gonna be you know, but
(08:07):
they decided to go with you know, whether it be
Shador Sanders or another pick because they feel like, oh,
he doesn't have that it factor quarterback factor, you know
what I mean. Oh he's a little too brash for
my liking. That's the only thing that could potentially happen
from this. But I get the young fella being confident.
I get the young fella saying I'm the best player
(08:28):
in this draft. I'm the number one pick, I'm the
best quarterback, and you're gonna regret picking me. I like
that picking regret not picking me. I like the energy,
I like the confidence. But again, there's a tone in
which you can say where I think you can get
the same message across.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, it's not the end
of the world. I'm not Yeah, no, my god, you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
And if the team loves and believes in him, that's
their guy, right, But it does give you, like if
they remember, like let's say there's there said there fifty
to fifty on another prospect to be like that, and
you gotta pick one that could be the thing that
makes him go. Now he's down forty eight to fifty
two in favor of the other prospect, right, because you
gotta start nitpicking. Oh he throws out not quite as strong,
(09:11):
or I just think he's a little bit more mobile,
or you start and it's that close between prospects.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Yeah, the other quarterback is a quiet kid, who just
wants to play, just play ball.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
He's a little and he's got a little more And.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
It sounds crazy, but when you're picking, this is how,
you know, it has to come down a certain little things,
certain little qualities that you believe separate the one from
the other.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
From everything. I mean, people rave about him and all that. Yeah,
there's not I don't hear that many negative things. And
he's gonna be it's not the greatest quarterback class, right
well you.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Got I mean, Jackson Darts up there obviously Shador Sanders,
Yet they're not raving about Shador now.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
I mean, he's another one who's put a lot of
stuff out there, and.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
He's been playing around with teams and wearing jot New
York Giants cleats with the New York Giants logo, loving
the fact that, you know, doing stuff in Vegas with
the Raiders. So yeah, I mean he you know, he's
gonna market, you know, he's gonna market himself with his
dad teaching him that.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
So it'll be interesting to see what happens with him
as well.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
But yeah, they're saying this isn't the quarterback year, although
they can say another year is the quarterback year. The
quarterbacks not be good. So these young dudes shouldn't necessarily
listen to that. They should just be confident in what
they do. It was crazy watching he and shud Or Sanders.
They're out here working they're not here, but they're working
out together. And when I tell you about some trash
talking between you would think they hated each other by
(10:34):
the way they're going at it.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
You ain't this.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
I'm a man, I'm smoking man, I already know yo
wet they better drive me over you. I mean, they're
gonna ad it hard. But it's all mutual respect. But
if you didn't know any better, you'd be like, man,
he's do do they like each other? So video, you know,
surfacing of them going at it while they're doing you know,
quarterback drills and warming up and you know, doing their
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
But yeah, he's he had listen. He balled out through
a gang of touchdowns in his career. I mean, he's
setting records. You have to eat ESPN mock draft. Pull
that up.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Let's see what Let's see what they're saying. Yeah, because
I just don't see like what he says. If you
pass on me, Uh, there aren't that many teams. I
don't think he's gonna slip that far down for many
teams to pass on him.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
And I like, like, Lamar Jackson, let's see what we
got the latest, what we have within this, I'm gonna
say he's second or third? Right?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yeah, so they got him going this.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Is the latest. ESPN is this mel Kiper? Who is
this hold on?
Speaker 1 (11:28):
They're doing that whole stupid thing where you got to
like log into a ESPN Plus and not.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Just there's no look at ESPN's do some mock draft.
Can you just give me with your no, no, no, they
want money, they want money. Get your credit card out? Yeah,
well anybody doing that right now? So I have to
look at somebody, all right.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
I thought the number two eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three
sixty nine, the cam Ward number one.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Kiper has him going number one to Tennessee. Okay, so
there's number one.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
I mean Travis Hunter number two to Cleveland as a
cornerback slash wide receiver schaduor going to the Giants, uh
New England getting.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
I can't see the giant car Giants ownership. I'll be
surprised if they select him. Why personality.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Yeah, I just don't that's not what they want, you
know what I mean, Like, look at the quarterbacks that they've.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Drafted Eli obviously.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Daniel Jones, Dave Brown. Like I'm dead serious.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Maybe that maybe outside of Eli, maybe they say we
might need to mix it up. Whatever we thought we
were gonna do, do the opposite, just like we thought
we were gonna keep Daniel Jones way with him and
they do.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
It would be surprising to me, That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Knowing he's ain't good with you know, I mean, he's
the other top quarterback Tom Brady loves and raves a bottle.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
I'm not saying, but I'm just saying. The Giants, the Giants, Bree,
you have football focuses, mock draft.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Who do they have?
Speaker 5 (12:56):
You have Travis Hunter going one and Kim Ward going
seven to the Jays, Cam Woard going seven.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
So maybe he's getting his agent, might be getting more
of that.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Maybe he's here and that and that's why seven range, Yes,
all right, make you pay.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
Suck that talk, young man with this or it's a
little love turn much turn off, turn you off a
little bit and do you think he'll be the top
pick or will he be more like seven to the
New York Jetropolitans.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Where are you on Kim Ward eight seven seven ninety
nine On Fox It is The Odd Couple on a

hundred twenty out? Yeah? Wait a minute, yeah, how are
you up twenty sir? That's that's a good interest on you.
One hundred dollar Bill.
Speaker 1 (14:23):

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I don't do you see that?
Speaker 3 (14:40):
What?
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Just uh that is right. It's gone and he's in
a wheelchair.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
He smiling being LeVar but uh yeah, saying spirit spirits
are up. They don't know is that I had an
emergent medical emergency that required his foot to be amputated. Yeah,
So wishing him all the best, all the best, no, seriously,

regret it. You got to see me throughout the season.
Is it cool to talk that talker? You need to
relax a little bit.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
What do you think? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox who we got all right?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Jed in South Carolina. You're on the Oyd couple of
Fox Sportuato. What's up Jet Jet?
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Hey? Hey, what's going on? Man? Man? What's up? Brother?
We're good man, We got you.
Speaker 9 (15:33):
Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Wrong?
Speaker 10 (15:34):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Kill you're doing? Man? I understand?
Speaker 9 (15:36):
Hey, long time listener. Man, you know I like what
y'all boy's doing.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
You appreciate that you do. We appreciate it.
Speaker 9 (15:43):
Okay, well listen, but a lot of times, man, I mean,
he's supposed to be high of himself. The reason why
I say that because he played a lot of college football,
and really that's what's the winning re at now those
who played a lot of crews football and because in
too many things they ain't seen don't get it twisted.
Now I'm saying some DC's it puts them to give
them and stop him. I mean, but I mean, if
he do his things, and I'm all forming, but I'm
(16:05):
looking at two more quarterback right now. We got with
by the eleven maybe twelve black quarterbacks in the league,
and I'm looking at two more. Colorado and Miami right.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Come a long way, Jed from when they saying you
got to be all our athletes.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
You can't play. You gotta be a receiver. You can't
be a quarterback. You don't have the mentic capacity to them,
they told them are to be a wide receiver. Thanks
Jed for the call.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Appreciate you, Jed. Casey in Oregon, you're in the eye
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Casey? Hey?
Speaker 11 (16:32):
Rob? Hey Calvin, thanks for taking my call.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Thank you? How are you good? Man? Hey?
Speaker 11 (16:39):
I think Cam needs to settle down a little bit.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Him more.
Speaker 11 (16:44):
Shador, I feel like need to learn under a veteran quarterback.
And I wonder what you guys would think about this
if Shador got drafted by the Raiders and they were
to bring in like Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rodgers and
Shador may you learn under them? Uh? Aaron Rodgers cut
for a couple of years.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Like here's they don't do it that much anymore. But
we talked about it before.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Aaron Rodgers sat for three years behind Breadfast Jordan, behind
Aaron Rodgers for three years, Like you don't.
Speaker 11 (17:15):
I don't know why NFL teams rush into this so
much to the feels to me that boats Cam and
Shador you need to run under a veteran quarterback and
then take the ring.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Right, I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Everything is instant now, instant potatoes. They just want to
add water and stir, you know, and instead of boiling
the potatoes, you know, smashing them up and then whipping them.
Speaker 11 (17:40):
What do you guys think about Aaron Rodgers in Vegas?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yeah? I mean this talk now that he's coming to
the Rams, that the Rams of Stafford.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah, and get rid of Stafford and then draft a
quarterback right, yeah, waiting Casey.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
The only thing I'll say I agree more with Jed
that these young quarterbacks that are coming in now, they're
so because of the transfer portal, because of the COVID
year that they got an extra year. They're playing forty
starting forty five games, and they're coming in ready to
ball bow Knicks.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Jane Daniels, C. J. Stroud.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
A lot of these guys are coming out of guys
off ready to play through. Yeah, but lately these guys
have been coming in ready to play because Jasey, they
appreciate the call. They're getting an abnormal amount of starts.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Usually you sat.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
You know your first two three years, you got your
one senior year, you got twelve, thirteen games, fifteen games.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
They're coming in. I played thirty four. Michael Pennix, he
done got Kirk Cousins just got a deal, got all
the money. They said you can go now, Kirk.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
These young guys are coming in locked and loaded because
they played so much college football.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Shan in Sacramento. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 12 (18:43):
What's up, buddy, Yeah, my uncle Robert does the mother
cousin Kelly, my brother's behind the boys. Whatever, Bree real quick.
I gotta really ask and clear the air on this rumor,
Rob that's been going around. I've seen it all over
social media. Does Rob g s fingers tastes it as a.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Look, oh my my sausage links. Oh you gotta well,
you gotta answer, Sean though, what his finger hit your lip?
From the not want to know? Sean, he put the
pancake on my plate and I ate it from we
want took Sean. You know he didn't feed me Robbie
(19:23):
the pancake. Sean.
Speaker 12 (19:25):
I just had to clear the air because the way
Kevin was describing and I thought, I thought you was gonna,
you know, go to the same hotel room after the fact.
While no, Man, I agree with Kelvin. It's great to
have confidence. I'm glad his agent is fighting for him.
But cam shun showing. Just like to your point earlier, man,
(19:45):
don't create bulletin board materials. Don't give teams a reason
to dislike you. And then mind you know what my
shot age you would be. I would be much slinging
left or right. Look at Travis's girlfriend. That man is distracted.
Dion is going to be all in doorhead, I'm doing
the other dudes so dirty that you got to pick
me number one. But the last thing you want to
do is go up there barking, talking crazy and not
(20:06):
live up to what you were.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Talking about for the and everybody doesn't, you know, like
gotta be careful with that, that's all.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Let's say he was going to be the number one
or two and they're like, man, it comes down to
him or Shadure, and then they might I don't like
on that extra brackedocius. That not gonna happen. Not that
Shador is extremely confident as well. Let's go to Nick
in New York. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up to nake?
Speaker 13 (20:30):
Hey, guys, how's your Wednesday going?
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Oh? Man, are you kidding? Everything is great?
Speaker 12 (20:36):
Too blessed to be stressed.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
That's okay, all right, put it on the T shirt.
Speaker 13 (20:41):
I agree with Rob that you know you're putting a
target on your back. I don't think that there's any
it's tough to talent.
Speaker 10 (20:47):
You know, we can all speculate.
Speaker 13 (20:48):
I don't think that there's like a generational talent right
now that could.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
Change the team.
Speaker 13 (20:54):
Travis Hunter, he's not gonna do it on offense and
defense where the Titans if they take him first, that
the team gonna change overnight. These teams that need people,
the ones that think they need three.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
Or four pieces, not just one.
Speaker 12 (21:07):
And I appreciate you taking my call and thank you.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Hey hey, Nick, real quick, Nick, you still live? You
think the Giants gonna take Shador?
Speaker 2 (21:15):
What?
Speaker 3 (21:16):
What's your what's your gut? You think the Giants will
take Chador? Giants?
Speaker 6 (21:25):
You want to know why?
Speaker 13 (21:26):
Tell us I I don't think that they will because
they've never been known to take an African American quarterback.
Speaker 12 (21:33):
And it's very crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
And I know, I know, I know, Nick, I, I
what did I say to you?
Speaker 3 (21:37):
I said, I'm not sure that they're predicting that he
might go to the Giants at number three.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
We'll see. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I'm really I'm really torn right now. All right, thanks Nick, appreciating.
Can we squeeze on what you cover real quick? Yeah,
go ahead, real quick to get tomorrow show Rye in
uh Washington, d C. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
What's up on my brothers?
Speaker 10 (22:00):
Was going on?
Speaker 9 (22:01):
But I hope y'all good and staying warm and cold
out here.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yeah, ceasing everywhere?
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Right, I won't tell you that it was eighty degrees
here too.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Must be nice.
Speaker 10 (22:14):
But let me let me tell you about Josh Rosen
junior right here. You remember Josh Rosen was like, I'm
gonna make all y'all regret this, and they got replaced
the next year by Kyler Murray. Like, cam Ward is
already setting himself up to do the same thing he
did in college.
Speaker 12 (22:26):
How many teams did he played for? Again?
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Right?
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Right?
Speaker 10 (22:28):
So in my mind, like you know, if he's smart,
maybe it's working his favorite and maybe he falls like
the Steelers and goes to a good organization. Other than
that he's going to bounce on the league and bounced out.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
You say, I don't know, Yeah, I don't know. I
think he's talented. And like I said, out these kids,
with all these starts. Man, there's a bunch of people
who transfer. Pentix Transford h Jaydon Daniels transferred. That's just
the way it is nowadays.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
So I want that Bruce Hornsby in the range. I
don't know. That's just the way it is. That's just
that is a banker though, that is a bank And
I got to meet him, you know what.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
He was friends with Rick Carlisle and he came to
the palace, came to the palace one day and we
got to meet him the media. Rick was there doing
a press conference with the media. Oh man, and I
just did that right away. Yeah, that's really story. He's
really good.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
But I shook Sea Vercles hand today. You did, You
didn't know it?
Speaker 1 (23:17):
That's what shout yeah, shoutut atjulil Man. All right, we
got Tim Kate's getting ready talk some baseball with him.
Just a miniment on the other side of what's training
right now. Martin Weiss twice twice. Gotta loot the beat.
Hold on, here we go, gotta let the beach drop.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Uh listen here, Uh Wes Trendy Martin, give it to him, Martin.
Here we go, y'all. A couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Let's go.
Speaker 8 (23:41):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Comedy Live Fromtirereck dot Com Studios.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
It's The Odd Couple Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday,
and we are joined now by Tim, who I like,
I know likes to worship. That's right, he appreciates the
worship Wednesday. What's l A Sports Dodgers pre game host
Tim on Twitter?
Speaker 2 (24:09):
What's up Tim? What's up Tim?
Speaker 10 (24:11):
What's going on?
Speaker 14 (24:12):
Guys, Kelvin, I'm actually I think I'm standing in you're
changing room here at Spectrum Sports. Oh you're spector of
Sports Water, Spectrum one News. Yeah, I'm over here in
the Al Segundo.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
California and getting ready to do some access sportsman Dodgers
on TV. And I just saw your nameplate, your fancy nameplate.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, don't don't knock over his lift shoes that he.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
Wears on the Hey, sorting through right now. The color
of shirts is interesting that you have here at Kelvin.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Tim, Tim might keep my business. I'll keep that between
me and you. Hey, do you even know what man
had that many pink shirts? I do have?
Speaker 1 (24:51):
And look you see my if you look up, you
see the tie rack with all the squares of ties.
You can take a tie on the I'm on the
left side. You can take a tie if you need one.
To Big game, Jame James, James Worthy always takes the
time from he shot at the Big Game.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
James. All right, let's get to the Dodgers. Tell me
rusting right now? We have what we talk about that
he's in the building.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Well, first of all, I'm gonna say this, Tim Kate.
Somebody on social media was like, man, we're gonna hear
from Tim Kates. Haven't heard from him since Tony Bruno
Tony Bruno days.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Yeah, I was with twenty for three years and almost
three years at Fox Sports Radio Into the Night with
Tony Brunos seven pm to ten pm Pacific Standard time
every night Monday through Friday, and then at a lot
of good times there in the old Sherman Oak studios.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Man, all right, well we'll shoot gotta have you on
right now, Man. Today this is game one with the
Dodgers spring training this last season. I was there out
there and it was obviously show hail Tony, and it
was just ridiculous how many people came from literally all
around the world this year. The big thing was a
couple of days ago getting to see him pitch out there.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
What was that like? What had you guys been kind
of reporting on him? Me? Think what did he throw?
Like fifteen to twenty pitches?
Speaker 15 (25:57):
He threw twenty two pitches today, the splitter and the fastball,
and he was surrounded by at least seventy five maybe
one hundred for front office, coaching staff, players, Dodger personnel,
all gathered around Hind Home Play.
Speaker 6 (26:12):
Watching Sasaki pitch. And it was a spectacle to see
all the media attention is out there. You know, Kevin,
you mentioned it with with Otani, it's one thing, and
now you've got three Japanese superstars on a South Korean
second baseman. Is it is at an all time level.
I've never seen anything like the media attention that the
Dodgers are getting right now, and for Sinsaki, he is
(26:33):
all the focus because they went out and they won
him in that bidding contest in essence to have him.
Simon's a free agent and they're expecting a lot out
of into this rotation.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Tim, I hate to be the bearer of bad news
here we go, but I'm going to be on the
record to say the Dodgers will not win the World.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
You should have stayed on the record last night, Tim.
He picked Tim, he picked the Dodgers to win, but
his hat came out too much and he Swisses picking
the Dodgers won.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
But Tim, I'm saying this, and you know, baseball teams
don't repeat, And I know one paper you could talk
about all you want, Tim, what was the last time
a team repeated in Major League Baseball?
Speaker 6 (27:07):
The Yankees in the late nineties, two thousand. That's a
different rop.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
This is different twenty five years ago.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Twenty five years ago, and one more, Tim Kates and them.
I'll let you go. Let you tell me why I'm wrong. Okay,
the last National League team to repeat? Do you know
what the team that was?
Speaker 10 (27:27):
That would be.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
The Cincinnati Regis.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Nineteen seventy five, seventy six, and I know one paper
they're loaded, Tim, They're not going to repeat.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Go ahead, tell me why I'm wrong.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
Here's why you're wrong. Because teams coming back that next
year have a hangover. They got maybe the same roster.
Maybe they don't have this good a roster as they
did the year before. Maybe they caught lightning in a
bottle and had a good October. The Dodgers have more
talent this year, double the counts than they had a
year ago, because they got guys back from injuries. I
remember they were down to one and a half start
(28:00):
in October. They were in a World Series they almost
swept from the Yankees with one and a half starters
and all bullpen relievers pitching their lights out in October.
Now you have all the starting pitching guys coming back
from injuries. The free agent market, you were really good
at going and bolsting your bullpen and bringing in guys
who combined from amost sixty stays a year ago in
Kirby Yates and Tanner Scott to go along with the
(28:22):
bullpen that you break pretty much brought back everybody besides
Daniel Hudson. This team is stacked, Rob. They can have five, six,
seven injuries. Knock on what that doesn't happen.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
But it's not just the injuries. People might not perform
the way that they did. I mean, Tim K, I
hear you. But this is also the team that a
couple of years ago, Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman have
one hit in a postseason series.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Correct.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
Correct?
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Okay, So I'm just saying yes on paper doesn't mean
it translates in the postseason. Doesn't mean you can't have
a bad ten days or a week or a bad start,
Tim K. That's what I'm talking about. Are they gonna
win a lot of games?
Speaker 8 (29:02):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Are they gonna win the West? Yes? Do I expect
him to get to the NLCS or the chance out
the world, Yes? I do. But he done it. But
does it mean but doesn't mean that it all works out?
And you never know?
Speaker 3 (29:15):
If Freddie Freeman had an infield pop up, that World
Series could have been a totally different ballgame.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Would you agree with that? No?
Speaker 6 (29:22):
Maybe Freddie Freeman is one hundred percent and he gets
a lot better than he did.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
He can't hit any better than that. He can't hit
any better than that. You know that Tim Kakes.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
You see Timmy and not even put any respect the
World Series. Ring hasn't even lost his shine yet. He's
already doing it.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Who is gonna beat them in a seven game series?
Speaker 2 (29:37):
I'm gonna pick the Padres this year.
Speaker 6 (29:41):
The Padres are gonna be sellers of the deadline.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Okay, I just I'm just giving you who I'm picking.
I'm picking the Padre. A know how old's out a
thing there.
Speaker 16 (29:50):
They went three to one against the Dodgers and blew
it last year, but they had the Dodgers down. Do
you remember the home run they had Dodgers Stadium and
the game that they look like it was all wrapped
up and they choked, but they were right in it.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Don't good? Why what don't you like about the Dodgers?
I wouldn't say that. What did know? But on paper
I didn't say that. That's not how it's won. And
that's what I'm trying to say that to you. Why
it can't it happen again? Though it's hard, but it's
been twenty five years. Were due, okay, right, and they
were due this.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Remember the conversation, Tim Kate, I remember you picking the
Dodgers and then you should have stuck with your pick.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Because you know what Tim said it they had one
and a half starters, and that if you look at baseball, Tim,
I was right to make a change because they didn't
have the pitching, and that's what I thought would be there.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Uh, do the men.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
But somehow it worked out now this year to have
all the pitching. But maybe they don't perform in the
big game.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
To Tim Kates, I guess.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
The padres fell apart, and they were healthy in that
series against the Dodgers. They weren't missing superstars. They were
healthy in their rotation.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
So the way you're talking, Tim, they're gonna win one
hundred and forty of the one sixty two. They're gonna
beat everybody, sweep everybody in every series. And we shouldn't
even watch because the Dodger are gonna win the World Series.
No ifans are buds, is what you're telling you.
Speaker 6 (31:09):
What we realize is the regular season doesn't mean as
much in any sport now because so many teams give
to the postseason. So one Dodgers getting into the Tournament
of October. They're so deep and so talented, there's no
team that can beat them in a seven game series.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
There's no there's there's no there's no way you can
say that. You can't say that.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Well, but if it's three to three, it could be
that's the one game that they lose, or show Hay
has a bad night at the play, or it hits
the ball on the screws and they make turn a
triple play, or they get a no hitter from the
other pitcher.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
It's baseball, Tim.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
You can't sit there and say that there's no way
that they're not gonna that they're gonna win for sure.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Come on, man, you know better than that.
Speaker 6 (31:49):
I'm I'm they have the best chance.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
They're gonna win. They're gonna win. It's it's done. That's
what you're saying. Okay, I'm saying they're not. I'm taking
the field. Okay, stando business, Tim, Game World Series.
Speaker 6 (31:59):
Yes, any team can win. Something can happen, Aaron Judge
can drive drop a fly ball.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (32:06):
The fact is it's a seven game series, and there
is no team in baseball that's got the pitching nor
the talent that for seven games.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
He could have a bad could be bad.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
Tim.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
I'll see you at the Prede.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
Man.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Don't worry about it, man, I'll see it.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
He always the prase.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Hey you know what, Hey Tim, he can't even get
a hot dog or one of those old pretzels. He
likes to take some dons. They gonna tell you get out.
You don't get none of these.
Speaker 6 (32:29):
Man, Hey, gill some more onions for me for that
hot dogs.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
To appreciate you man.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
All right, that's Tim k t A M five seventy
other sports Dodgers pre game host Tim Guy was gonna
ask about some other stuff, but you just want to
believe it or not stick on the Dodgers. All right,
we got one's gotta go. This is what would call
it the streaming Edition. I'll explain it. Next, it's the
Fox Sports Radio Couple. Fox Sports Radio. As I said
it three times right there.
Speaker 8 (32:56):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker in Kelvin, Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
I've Coble Robin Kevin on a worship Wednesday, and we're

Speaker 11 (33:31):
Mar The five crowns is that when I'm planning here
fun even number.
Speaker 15 (33:36):
Figure it out, all.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Right, Rob, We talked about this yesterday.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
The NFL expected to at some point sign a deal
at some point in the next couple of years with
Netflix that would have them have Sunday packages of NFL games.
So that got me thinking about streaming free Martin Shay, Alex, Rob,
one's gotta go of some of the top streaming services
(34:05):
you have Disney Plus, Apple TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Peacock.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
Wait a minute, isn't there another one you'd left out?
Speaker 10 (34:18):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Never mind, go ahead, go ahead? Yeah, what are you saying, Rob?
Go ahead? You got a foot in there or something?
Stop it. We're not doing that. So there you have it.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
There are your options, Disney Plus, Apple TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Brie.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
You're making faces. You're struggling over there.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
You think you know, but then you are so easy. Okay,
start with you, Alex. Yeah, Disney Disney Plus. Yeah, easiest
want to let go of now?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
You do know you're gonna lose Hulu. That's fine, they
both have terrible stuff. Oh wait a minute, I can't
have Hulu or Disney Plus is one and they don't
bundle themselves up. What you want for me? That's I guess.
So I don't have any kids at home, so Disney.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Yeah right, rob Star Wars and it sucks. Now that's surprised.
But as much as you so easy, I get that
that makes sense and it doesn't kids. I do have kids,
you know that ain't going nowhere. That's that's a life
saver for me.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
For me, Disney Plus up out of here ready, Yeah, dude,
like like the other if you don't have kids, there's
no the only the only time.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
And seriously, in the last six months I want to
search for Disney Plus is because I was trying to
watch Home alone.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
That's it. Okay.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
I was going to say Disney Plus they don't work.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
With a bunch of nerds at the Spectrum. No not
you guys, No no, no, said Spectrum my earlier job.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
I was going to say Peacock.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
But I feel like now like more games are happening
on there, like the NFL, like was on Peacock last year. Yeah,
so I'm going to go Disney Plus because I don't
really care that the Mandalorian fell off.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
And I was like the only thing I'll sit around.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
When I spectrum the earlier job, there's a bunch of
nerd talk like, you know this this Star Wars, this
is the Star Treks to the Star Wars and the
Mandlar and Avengers, so all uh, you know, Avengers and
all them, all that Marvel Stott here is on theirs.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Which that's why I'm shocking a lot of people. You know,
they left.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
They love to watch all the Ironman and all that Kelvin.
I went to go see, uh the End Game. I
believe it was the Blowouts, right, And I looked and
I was in the movies. Now I was ten o'clock
in the morning local time. I had an early job.
You know how that goes? Do I look over to
my left, look over to my right. When one prominent
superhero dies in the film, two grown men both my
age crying, shopping stop and I was and I said,
(36:29):
at that moment, you know what, I got enough things
I'm manical about. I don't need this too. But Martin,
so you think you slick? It was the end game,
it was the last one. See it was easy to
do that. You jumped out there crying like their team
just won a chance, lost a championship.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Why Martin, Why in the world would you call out
skip and shatnon We're.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Sitting next to you. I can't believe. I can't believe.
Ah Man Man dance skip skip skip Iron Man died.
But did he really mean it? When you have some
courage in your conviction, skip skip, you ain't gonna do that.
He did? He to go, he goat of all evengels. Okay,
we're not gonna do that right here? How we get
(37:08):
all that ice? Si?
Speaker 13 (37:09):
All right?
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Man died, but he's on Superman. First of all, I
die Man, I pump all the iron around here? Skip
skill all right? So wait, who robbed Disney plus Disney
plus Shade?
Speaker 2 (37:17):
What was yours? You know, if you don't have a
micro jump on the mic real quick, peacock high peacock,
Disney is lion king like Hulu. It's a bunch of
animate shows on Hulu too, y'all tripping? Thank you? Really?
Compared to Disney plus you're one hundred percents in Peacock.
Thank you. The lesson that we all just learned to.
Shade needs to grow up. Don't do it like that
under the seat. Hey man, twenty five, y'all just jealous.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
You go, we are jealous. You know well, I mean
you still get your twenty five action. Just you know,
we still you still five year olds. You put two
shades together, I still got you know what?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
You know what he just did too.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
He just asked it, all right, Dan, so they like
Chisney Plus to twenty five, let me get my Disney
Plus back.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
You just want to you want to change your answer? Rob? No, no, no, no,
we're not watching any bit Disney Plus anyone. But if
she asked for Disney Plus, she gotta go.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah, well no, that might be right up. Actually Rob's
used to that's one thing that the new technology. Rob
was used to screaming streaming subscriptions. He's had those for.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Like last twenty years, right about that. That's what you said,
dot com behind Yeah, he said, he.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Said we left one out. That's what he was talking about.
I'm going on east, he said, Peacock, Shay, I'm with you, Shay.
You know what what else was lefting? I know I'm
not doing it. I know what you're gonna is a
part of someone's body, and it's the lower extremity. I
know what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Peacock.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
For me, Peacock can prove be gone as well. Disney
Plus you don't watch. I mean, it's just if somebody.
Speaker 8 (38:37):
Has to go.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Is that one for me?
Speaker 12 (38:39):
Alright?
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Number three called Away
