including one's gotta go that's gonna be later on in
this hour number two of the program, Rob Gen is
a story that's troublesome to me when I hear this,
and it has to do with the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
And one said, quarterback, what is the story here?
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Well, it's involving friend of the show, Jeremy Fowlers. For
you to say that it's troubling is really disappointing, Rob,
because he worked really hard on this story.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I got it, but it's the information is troubling to me.
Negativity so, Jeremy, I'm the most negative guy on the radio.
Is that true? Yes? Yes, you answered that too quickly?
How to produce?
Speaker 5 (02:38):
So but that's that's that's your brand you're writing. You're
ripping right, No, I've never.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Heard I'm ripping.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
You did say that, Alex, I'm the most negative guy
on the radio.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Wow? I mean you know your takes are negative, your
your disposition is all positive though, rap.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
You know, like I was gonna say that, Mike Harmon.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Quit Wow, And that's just it.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Uh get you?
Speaker 3 (03:14):
We thought you thought me, man, when you're talking about sports, No,
we talking about everybody else, Doug Gottli, Harmon, jasonith A, Hey, yo,
I already know.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Let me let me go back to some shows. Man.
I wasn't here. Well, my back was turned.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
What you had to say, it's gonna be on site
with Doug two just by association.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
Ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I was nervous. I was shook at the Super Bowl weekend.
We're gonna throw im. I got PTSD from being in
Detroit and spending five years in Flint, Michigan. I just
didn't know where this was gonna go. I was, you know,
I didn't know if you was, and I told you
all I'm I'm Gang Gang. So I'm with you that
I gotta be with you. We'll talk about it later
in the car, like why did you do that? Why
did you say that? But when I'm with you, I
(03:55):
gotta be with you, all right, guys, back to the
big story.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
H Jeremy Valer Dan Grazzion do their weekly buzz calling
for ESPN, and this week they one of the questions
they posed out was who's going to be the next
big extension? You'll get extension throughout the season, usually before
the trade deadline is when we get the last of
the of the calendar year, and Fowler says, well, first,
Aiden Hutchinson is probably the most likely.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Now that makes sense. He's healthy this year, They're doing well.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Sure that it's their guy that they drafted, right, So
I get.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
All that, And then the very next sentence, he says,
but the real answer might be the Indianapolis quarterback, who
we just discussed in the previous portion. Graziano follows up
to say, I'm fascinated to see whether the Colts would
do something with Jones in season. This one is complicated
because the rules say you must wait a year after
signing a guy, if you want to adjustice contract in
(04:47):
a way that makes his cap number go up. But
there are certainly ways the Colts could do that if
they choose. They also add people around the league have
been very impressed by Indiana Jones so far. With the
Colts say, the only question market right now is can
he stay healthy?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
And I got news? Is this Mike going hello?
Speaker 1 (05:07):
This is going out to the Indianapolis Colts, their ownership, management,
general manager, all that kind of stuff. The guy who
sells in the ticket window. I hope everybody Indianapolis is listening.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Don't do it, do it, don't do it.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Do not sign Daniel Jones off of premature, way too early,
having beaten anybody, you know, kind of start to the season.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
We've seen this before. Do you remember the.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
New York Football Giants picked Daniel Jones over Sakuon Barkley
after they beat the bad defensively the bad defensive team,
the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs. You remember that, Oh
he's arrived, he won a playoff game, and then they
went outside of him.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
He said, oh, you know, we're not gonna sign sake On.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
I'm We'll sign Daniel Jones and they realized they made
a mistake right away.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Dude, what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (06:12):
They've beaten the Dolphins, Bronkhos, Titans and Raiders.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Really don't do that.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Don't do it, Daniel Jones. No, can I give you
old TV reference. I'd rather have Bornaby Jones than Daniel
Jones and he's dead. No, do not do it, don't
fall for it. Don't go for the Oakie doak. This
is smoking mirrors. Something's fishy here because they're not playing
(06:44):
any good teams. Daniel Jones has plenty of tape.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
And it never went straight to the movies.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Theater went to Blockbuster first. Yes, that's the kind of
quarterback he is. Don't fool yourself. And I know what
you're saying. Well, Baker Mayvill went somewhere else, and then
it turned out to be great for every Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
There's a Geno Smith justin field.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
There's there's a pluthora of quarterbacks who moved to other
places and things didn't work out, So don't give me.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
It's just a change of scene to me.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
And they got a better offensive coordinator and they had
more weapons and that's.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
All Daniel Jones needed.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And once he left the Giants, and he's gonna be
this guy. No, what happened with Minnesota last year with
Sam Darnold, right, they didn't want they saw in the
biggest games of the year, he melted down. He turned
to go no, thank you.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
I bet the yes they do.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Yeah, nobody kids about the regular season. They're trying to win.
All I'm saying is, if you're the Indianapolis coach, not
fall for the okie dok Look at Daniel Jones. He
hasn't beat anyone. I'm not giving this guy a new contract.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
I'm not in a rush to sign Daniel Jones. I
don't think this is a to me. I don't view
this as a Daniel Jones thing. I think this is
more of a Shane Steichen thing. I think the head
coach there, former offensive coordinator for the Eagles, former offensive
coordinator for the Chargers. I think this is a similar
to a Kyle Shanahan thing, where he believes what he
(08:30):
does when I get my guy, we're going to produce.
When I get the guy that I need. Along with
this offense, you got one of the best running backs
of Jonathan Taylor, who's been going crazy this year by
the way we don't talk about him. You got a
good receiving corps and you got a mobile Daniel Jones.
I think it's him saying, let I like this guy.
And again this is a report, so we don't know
if they're gonna do it this year. We don't know
(08:50):
how that'll work out. But I think the bank is
on him saying this is what I do. I'm able
to be and had this coach team compete in the
last couple of years better than they really should have
been some of the wins that they've had. So I
think he's looking at him and says he fits the system.
I like black Shot Kyle Shanahan. When you get me
my guy, I'm able to produce. When you give him
my guy, I get the best out of you. And
(09:10):
that's what we're seeing out of Daniel Jones right now.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
But my issue is.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
They haven't beaten anybody, like seriously, look at the team
that they've beaten.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Well, so that's my issue.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
They beat the Broncos, which is a good team, and
they should have beaten the Rams. If the receiver runs
in the end zone, like we talked about a couple
of days ago, when I had to say, ain't nobody
got time for everybody dropping the ball at the enzone.
They could have won that game. So they have some
quality wins and should have been wins on their resumes.
Should have been Yeah, I mean that game was. I mean,
dude's in the end zone. You know, I don't know
(09:40):
what the epidemic of dropping the ball is, but I
just believe that's what it is. And again that's why
I said, I understand your hesitation. Daniel Jones has not
been doing this for two three four years.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
They did this so already.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
The New York Football Giants gave him a deal after
they beat Minnesota in the playoffs, thinking that that he
had arrived.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
So I know, but I think that team does not
have the offensive.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
No, but they want a playoff game, is what I'm
trying to tell you.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
So they go on the road. They beat the VIKINGSOFF
game a handful of years ago too.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
And when I went from Mayfield, that was Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Right, And I'm saying, sometimes you gotta go and go
somewhere else and find something. So I get I get
the idea that stike in Mayfield, I found a guy
that I can work with and I'll say this. The
reason why you have these conversations now is because you
can mess around and get them for the low. As
they say in the streets, you can get him for
the low because if I gotta wait, he has enough.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Let's say this feat. You could be in the clearance,
Ben and I'll pass. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
I've seen you at Ross. I know how you get busy.
You ain't turn it down though, seven ninety nine, if fuss,
if it's my son, Yeah, let's say he has a
really good season, they end up twelve and five, eleven
and six.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
He's you know, a really good got a cupcake schedule.
I didn't realize they're all bad teams.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
They're play And let's say he mess around and has
a good season and it does it again.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Now that cost goes up. Ye, so heathcakes on that schedule.
I got a toothache just looking at the schedule.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
He would fit around some guys.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
And you know, if you got your to us getting
to us getting fifty three million dollars, I think you'd
rather have that one back. There's a halful of other
guys getting some money around that.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yeah, but those are people that you drafted and you
have to make a commitment to Daniel Jones you didn't draft.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
It's not the same. But that's why I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
So if he's a guy that you get and you
believe in for thirty two thirty four million dollars, I.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Don't believe in them, is what I'm trying to sell
about you.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
I know snik and does Stikeen believes And not only
does he believe in him, he believes in himself.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
That's the biggest part for me.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
He believes in him, saying I got the guy just
like I brought up Kyle Shanahan.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
You give me.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Jimmy g So it's funny of the guy that was
mister irrelevant. Brock Party isn't playing in there four and one.
That's what I'm saying, So, did you really need to
sign brock Party? But when you get a guy like you,
like I still think brock Party is the better player.
Mac Jones is absolutely having a lot of successful now
and that's part of being in that system is the
success opportunities will be there because of the way their
(12:05):
system is set up there and they're able to manipulate
and move the game to fit you. That's a compliment
to Kyle Shanahan and a couple of other coaches who
are able to do that. But I think brock Party
is a better complete ceiling is higher than Mac Jones.
But yeah, so that's why I think this is. I
think it's a Daniel Jones is playing well. He's my
type of guy. But it's more about me stiching what
(12:25):
I believe I can do.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
I'm not touching Daniel Jones with a ten foot poll.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox is our telephone
number eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Should the coach consider offering Daniel Jones a contract extension?
Speaker 4 (12:43):
We'll continue this conversation next with you.
Speaker 1 (12:46):

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Great play there. That's it. The Cubs one four to three,
I did pull out. They pulled it off.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Now in this series two to one, they win Game three,
forces a game fly to w in Chicago. Yeah, we
got to go. When they're tied up, we got the
you know the Cubs.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Like I said, like I expect the Phillies to win tonight.
I do. I really like.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
These teams fighting for the players. Yeah, they're fighting for
their lives. Like to get swept would be crazy to
me if they got swept.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
So yeah, Mantia gets you situated with all the scores
and everything happening in just a little bit right now.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Don't forget that.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
For over forty years, tire Reck has been helping customers

Daniel Jones little possibility to say, and maybe him getting
extended in Indianapolis with the Colts. You in on that,
(14:51):
you say nah, you say pumped your brakes, You say, hey,
he looks good. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox,
take a couple of calls.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
All right, Elias, the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
What's up, Elias?
Speaker 9 (15:04):
You guys doing it?
Speaker 4 (15:04):
I welly, we're doing great.
Speaker 9 (15:09):
That's great to hear. Look I gotta agree, and I
got to disagree with Rob first. I don't think they
should sign Daniel Jones, not yet anyways. I mean, well,
it's barely week five. He hasn't been anyone yet, right,
and look, we cannot be signing talking about signing anybody
this early in the season. However, I do think there's
(15:30):
a potential and I think the Colts may have found
their guy. If you know, Baker Mayfield left the Browns,
and the Browns are a very flawed organization. Their success,
you know, they haven't found success at all outside of
that one playoff win with Baker Mayfield. Daniel Jones. There's
kind of parallels here. Daniel Jones is leaving the Giants
(15:51):
to ore again a flawed organization. He's going to a
much better, much better well managed Colts team. I think,
you know, it's all about what team you play for,
how the team is.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
It's not just about what team you played for. Come on,
I disagree with that.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
And they found their guy because they beat four cupcakes
to start the season.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Stop. I just think Elias is too early. W me
some good games, That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Beat me some good team, let me see what's going on,
win me a playoff game, do something more before I
just do this. The Giants did it. Minnesota had the
Daniel Jones that year threw for three hundred yards twice
and the entire season and guess who it was again,
like twelve Yeah, no, it was like twelve touchdowns and
sixteen games or something like that.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
And the two teams that and the team that they.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
He threw for three hundred yards were the Minnesota Vikers
at that year, the worst defense in the league. Okay,
that was the guy that the team they beat in
the playoffs, and they decided to sign him, and then
they regretted it almost immediately right the next year.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Remember they were like, oh my god, what do we do?
I want to I don't mind a little adversity.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Well, my guy, you know, like I told you, brock
Perty earned his money the time that he beat the
Lie into the NFC Championship game. That's when he earned
that money. Even last season was pay him and I hear,
but he earned that money when they said we were
down at a massive game.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
You put us on your back.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
And that was the Lions choked and you got lucky
they choked because they were making plays and they start
coming back and they got tight.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Got his money. Yeah, you gotta row oreos. You see
the movie Tim Chili Tim in Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio, and
you know, Rob g I got a bone to pick
with Chili Tim Chili Tim. You know, like the last
eight times you've been on I've kept track. I got
a little chill, my chili. You're watching us on YouTube,
my chili, Tim folder Okay, what have you been doing?
(17:45):
And uh, seven out of the last eight times he
called the rip on me, Chili Tim, I thought I
thought we were bros.
Speaker 10 (17:54):
I'm with you this time. Congratulations on your.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Press box this weekend.
Speaker 9 (17:59):
And that's all man, thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
No, I appreciate that thing. You got a tissue for me, Chilli,
Chili chip.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
I want you to know that school has been around
since eighteen ninety three.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
You would have been done to go back there, that's right.
Speaker 10 (18:12):
Yeah, you know he might have been cleaning the press by.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Yeah, cleaning it, but racist, No, that's actual. Unfortunately, it's factual.
That's the bad part about it.
Speaker 10 (18:26):
Two quick points. So let's stop the comparison to Baker Mayfield,
because Baker Mayfield was pretty successful in Cleveland. I mean
even yeah, yeah, he was successful, so don't compare it.
And two with Daniel Jones. These the same guys. They
thought they had the guy and Anthony Richardson and it's
the same outfit. Yeah, they thought they had the same guy.
So I'm not binding with Daniel Jones right now. I'm
(18:48):
like this, take your time, wait and see, because every
since Andrew Loved you've been, you know, trying to find
your way. So let's wait and see, because if you
do it again, I mean, how much further youre going
to sit back his organization? And besides, I don't even
think they're the best team in the conference. I mean,
Jacksonville is beating Kansasity in San Francisco. Yeah, so you
know they have quality winnings. So let's hold off. Let's
(19:11):
see what he does. Don't make a mistake again twice,
because if you do it this time, you're still going
to be back looking for the next Andrew Loup.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
So now let's see what he does.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
That's a great call by Chili Tim. He's one of
our best callers, and now he's back. Now he's back.
Good racist. Absolutely, Anthony Richardson was one of the worst.
Let's thirty for thirty.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
What if I told you they took a project then
no one else said you should take that early?
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Like what dude? It was so bad? Manti he was.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
His completion percentage was like Steph Curry's three point percentage.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
It was like forty eight like it's it was bad.
Speaker 11 (19:45):
No, it was bad, and so I guess I'm just
wondering here, I know, if you don't know, if we
cut it early here Alex.
Speaker 2 (19:51):

Live NBA news here guys.
Speaker 12 (20:05):
TMZ reports that a Lakers fan is suing Lebron James
for allegedly tricking him with the second decision announcement that
he made this week turning out to be an ad
for Hennessy. The fan says that he bought two tickets
for the final Lakers home game against the Cavaliers in
(20:25):
late March. He paid eight hundred and sixty five dollars
for two tickets. That is what he is suing Lebron
for saying that when the announcement was made that it
was an ad. Obviously the value dropped from the tickets,
and he said, I wouldn't have bought the tickets.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
I thought you were retiring back to you going. Lebron
has not commented I love that you love that you
that I do too. I find it funny.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
He might get a few suits though low key people
might do that because that's all tickets got.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Crazy. Yes they might have.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Maybe they'll probably be you know, it won't be accepted
or be frivolous and all that. But a lot of
people went and bought those second market tickets.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
For all of that wrong. Yeah, absolutely crazy mark up.
Speaker 11 (21:06):
He should have just put hashtag not retiring.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Well, he tried to before the like the Hennessy thing
came on, Like he tried to get it out quickly before,
because I think that was happening, and probably somebody probably
said you might want.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
To just I don't know on his post.
Speaker 11 (21:19):
He didn't put that.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
No, it just he put I had to look it up.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
But he put something out there like may even in
a tweet or something like nah not or the Lakers
put somebody put not retiring out before the Hennessy dropped.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
I could hear all the Laker fans who bought those
tickets just saying this, Yeah they were dupe, they got dupe.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
But I'm mad at.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Them forgetting due to be honest with you, like he
wasn't gonna announce it like this, like you you knew,
you don't know what's going on? And you don't and
people went and ran and potato chips is what I thought.
No sower cream or barbecue. I thought it was I
have a tough decision to make. Do I go with
sober cream or do I go with Lays barbecue. That's
what I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Gon and be it would be like telling people to
go to Blaze Pizza not showing up.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
But he's in the pool that day. You remember that.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
I do remember, Yes, I remember that while you were
getting your pizza with no cheese on it. Oh that's
just bad, all right, thank you, Mantie, appreciate it.
Speaker 12 (22:13):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
A couple Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday, aches and
pains where they can sneak in during the holiday hustle
and bustle or leave can help you forget the pain
make happy memories instead. With just one pill a LEI
provides up to twelve hours of body pain.
Speaker 4 (22:26):
Relief so you can keep moving.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Used as directed somebody who ain't moving right now, future
first ballot Hall of Famer Russell Westbrook is teamless as
we sit here today.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
But Kevin Durant talked about it a little bit and
his thoughts on where Russ is.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Russ is a legend, and I think he deserves to
be in the NBA right now, and I think he
deserves to walk out of the NBA or his term.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
So yeah, that'll be dope.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
But it's not my decision. It's not my decision, leaving
that up.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
To whoever makes those decisions from them, Kevin Durant obviously
seems like they worked out some cupcake issues over the years,
like they got it, like they're they're cool.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
You know. I'll say this, rob mercurial.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
Mercurial players Guys who are volatile, energy effort like Robin
you know, kind of can rub you the wrong way
at times. Russell Westbrook's the first battle of Hall of Famer.
He's been an MVP, has been incredible, one of the
best players of his generation.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
That's not a doubt until you watch him every day.
But I can't lie. We talked about that.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
When you watch them every day, there are some things
that you say, you scratch your head when you just
see the highlights. When he was an okay, see it
was a little different. Oh and he was a Laker Clipper.
You see some players. But with that being said, and
that does play a role. By the way, what you
just mentioned there, this isn't that uncommon. We've had guys
who've been good players, guys who've been Hall of Flame
players or who potentially now Hall of Fame and Carmel,
(23:52):
Lew Anthony.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
You got guys like Dwight Howard.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
You got guys who were not Hall of Fame, guys
were really good and Steven Jackson, Kenyon Martin, Nate Robinson.
When you get guys who the league just all of
a sudden just says, nah, we're kind of out on,
even if they still got something left in the tank,
even if you still give you ten.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Twelve, all of that, but out on.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
They were out on Carmelo because he wouldn't want to
come off the bench.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
But that's but that's what I'm saying. When you have
he doesn't want to do it. Alan Arverson got out.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
On the league earlier because he didn't want to do that.
Yet saying, but that's what I'm saying. If you they
view you as man, it's not it Maybe not worth
a headache, maybe not worth the having to deal with.
Will he start? Will he come off the bench? This happens.
I do believe someone's gonna pick Russell Westbrook up. You
look at teams. I mean, that's why the way the
Rockets came up because they lost Fred Van Vliet to injury.
(24:40):
So Russell Westbrook is gonna land on the team. It
is a bit strange. Maybe that he signed he didn't reach.
He had a player option with Denver, like I don't
know why he didn't take that.
Speaker 9 (24:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
They seem like he worked well with them, and him
and Jokids got along. They were they were both kind
of got triple double guy seeing eye to eye.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
So I don't know what that was all about.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
But but this is weird, and it gets weird towards
the end of the career because not everybody can have
a Chris Paul where I can go to other teams
but they still want me. Maybe it's the leadership, Maybe
it's I know exactly what you're gonna get from Chris Paul.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
He's gonna steady of the offense.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
And it can get weird for guys who are still
have talent, still pretty good, still can produce, and still
potentially Hall of Fame guys towards the end and we
see this before and it kind of sucks to see
a guy like Russell what he's meant to this league
the last fifteen you know so years.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
But he's played, they've paid him. I don't know what
other do they owe him. They don't owe him anything like, oh,
he has a right to go out or whatever he
wanted to do and leave the league. What seriously, like
the league moves on? You played fifteen years, you got
paid very handsome league.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
You want some other I don't even.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Know, like like like, this is not what we're doing here.
We're looking for some younger guys. We're looking for people
not making as much money. Is he gonna be happy here?
He's been on five teams the last five years. Maybe
they don't want to a nomad a bag of on,
you know what I mean? Like like we thought he
had a good fit with the Clippers, right, it was
(26:07):
terrible with the Lakers. He worked out with the Clippers,
and then we thought he was good with Denver, Right,
But he's been on a lot of teams now, I
don't know. I mean, there's a reason. Maybe he's looking
for more money than people are willing to pay. That
guy's been around that long. I think it's less the
money I think is where you were going. I think
it's fit.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Russell Westbrook is kind of an awkward fit because his
game is one hundred percent speed and effort, and we
sometimes you know, shooting nowadays in this man's NBA, and
it's not a good shooting. And he's not a setup guard.
The reason why Chris Paul has played so long even
though he's you know, been well past his prime sauce,
he's a setup guard. Brandon slowed off his down get guy.
He's also known, as you know, obviously a floor general
(26:43):
on and off the floor.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
He can teach guys, so Westbrook the fact though general manager.
That's why a lot of people players don't like that.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
That's true, and well also the Players Association all that.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
But Russell is kind of it goes in spurts and
it's fast, and it's gonna be turnovers involved.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
They're gonna be two for twelve nights shooting.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
And I think some teams just like now, I'll pass
on that right now, got some couple of young guys
I want to develop, and I think he'll sit around,
and I think he's gonna but I think he'll mess
around and find a perfect option for him come January February,
Somethea's gonna be all right. We can make it run.
We need a guard, We need somebody coming off the bench.
Give us a spark and they'll call Russell. But this
does happen. It happens Carmelo Anthony. Three or four years
(27:19):
prior to him walking out the you would have never
thought we still had juice in the tank, that he
would be a guy that just phone would not ring,
because he was a mid range walking bucket, even at
his advanced age. Don't don't you remember when he would
was wouldn't gonna come off the being, like I ain't
coming off the being.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
He remember at the press conference when they asked him
about coming off the bench, he looked at I can't.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Remember what team? Well who is he? Where Rob Gen?
He goes?
Speaker 1 (27:42):
He looked at me laughed, Okay, see they think I'm
coming off the bench, you know, like he look yeah right, yeah, yeah.
He was talking to Paul George at that time, and
the same thing with Alan Iverson.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
I was in Detroit during that time, yep, and and
Allen Iverson would have been dude, it could have really
worked out there.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Now because they had lost three years in a row
and heart you gotta give somebody else.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
But a were kind of the same guy you have to
give to get.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
And if you remember, Chauncey went to Denver and they
went to the Western com Finals and Chauncey lost four
straight conference finals. We went the Pistons and then he
went to Denver and they lost. I'm just saying, are
you saying no, I'm just saying, hold on, no, no,
But I'm just saying that he went to four straight
and lost.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
We viewed that so differently.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I view it as Wow, Chauncey billups stay giving me
a chance. And the Nuggets we weren't really thinking about
them too much. He goes over there, helps him bring
the championship DNA and they compete into.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
The Western Commons finals.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
It's about mistakes about getting and Alan iverson. The Pistons
ain't been right since. See how you said that.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
I still can't believe that people think Rob's those negative
man immediate.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Just they just got right this past year. That trade
at doomed the Pistons and now you over here, like
I mean, it was a good trade.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
They called me push over Parker because I'm down withever.
I'm a pushover. Can believe you just said that? You mad?
He went to the West count Final.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
We ain't seen the Pistons been good since they had
The Pistons ain't been good since you had a press box.
Pass over the box. I mean, but you know what
I'm saying, that's the last time they were good.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
I digress.
Speaker 3 (29:26):

Speaker 4 (31:10):
He hit me up.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
All right here we go, everybody's in We got Rob
g Rob Parker, Monzi, Alex, myself. So we have MLB postseason,
which has been fun. It's been great. We got some
good games, we had some elimination games. Some teams scathed
off elimination stayed in it. And so I got started
to think, Man, look at all these beautiful places we got.
You got Toronto, you got this, you got that, these
all these cities. And then I said, hold on, I'm
(31:34):
gonna list all the cities that they're playing in, but
I'm taking out the obvious. So no Chicago, no New York,
in LA because those are three American the top three markets.
They're great, and take them out. So the remaining team
cities that you have are Philadelphia, Seattle, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Toronto.
And the ones gotta go is if I dropped you
(31:56):
off in the summer for three weeks in one of
these cities, which one has to go, meaning don't drop
me off there.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
Your list is easy.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Philadelphia, Seattle, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Toronto. Anybody want to go first?
Speaker 4 (32:17):
I got this? Okay, where's it? Seattle? Seattle, Seattle, way
too much? It does right now?
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Buns out, guy, you know, like you know they say
dentists have the highest offing rate themselves. I think Seattle
is the other place too, so gloomy. Who wants to
be there? Yeah, well you aren't wrong. Actually weeks, I'll
give you twenty four hours. Okay, that's all you got Seattle, Okay.
And I can't understand that.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
I've been to Seattle, and you're right, it's like they
have the same weather as London. Yeah like that. But
there's some I was there with in a May stretch
for like a week. Beautiful and you're beautiful.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Of the mountains. You can see the mountains. I mean,
it's really, really was awesome. I gotta admit. So Seattle
stays for you. So Seattle's staying. If I had to
pick one, it would be Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sorry about that?
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Uh Rod's Beer, cheese and US tighter pants?
Speaker 4 (33:19):
What is that? I don't know why you said that.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
I think I told you you were reading the artinerary
for your Golden Girl trip.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Is that what it was? What it was? Yeah, I'm
I'm done with Milwaukee. Okay, Milwaukee, Rob, g this one's
really easy? Easy? Which one is Toronto? Toronto?
Speaker 9 (33:39):
Rob?
Speaker 4 (33:41):
You haven't heard my reasoning.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
I gotta hear that Toronto on YouTube, because you're on
your phone right now, go on YouTube and just look
up Toronto accent and tell me you could survive for
three weeks or three months or three days hearing people
talk like that.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Okay, now, growing up outside of Detroit, going to Windsor
all the time.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
If you know the winds you can go right over
the river or under the water and then you take
a train ride to Toronto.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Right. But he ain't lying because Windsor has that same
accident and I can, I can.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
I could elaborate on that, but I won't. But yeah,
like he's a Gerber fan. There's a certain way.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
But does that even mean dude? Yeah, I'm just leave
it alone.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
A certain way, like certain words that you know a
lot of you know, black fool, how we and they
say it a different way. They might go hard on
the r and certain things at throw you off.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Yeah, I read the first I said, hold on, wait,
am I supposed tounch him?
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Now?
Speaker 4 (34:38):
He seems so casual about it with it. Way is
all Canadians wear comfortable shoes. They're they're docile people. What
they are to say? Am I right?
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Canadians don't bother anybody been a fan of the metric system.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Yeah, and this is why they're shocking. Our administration is
taking shot to them. They're like, like, what do we do?
Were chilling mine own business?
Speaker 4 (34:59):
All right? So we got we're cold. We're not bothered
anybody in Toronto.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
We've got Toronto, we got Milwaukee, We've got Seattle, Manti.
Speaker 11 (35:07):
I have no real good reason, but I'm with Rob.
Probably Milwaukee. I would have Wisconsin. I have not been
to any of the four places, but I think way,
you've never been to never been to Philadelphia, never been
to Detroit, never been to Milwaukee, never been to Toronto.
I've been to the others that you mentioned. I know, right,
So I haven't been to any of those four.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
But I love Toronto. I'm sure I would. I think
I would like Detroit.
Speaker 11 (35:31):
I think I would like Seattle years ago.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
Maybe yeah, Toronto is a beautiful No, I'm sure.
Speaker 11 (35:37):
I would, But I am going to look up this
accent thing.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
But I will early Drake. But you love cheese. I
do enjoy and they're known for cheese. But but I
can have cheese here but not Milwaukee cheese.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
I think that Midwest Kyle is different. They feed them.
They've built different. That's why college football.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
I'm sure I.
Speaker 11 (35:58):
Could get Wisconsin from Cheese said.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
To me, the thing about I'm trying to sell you
on the fact is Milwaukee for me too. Yanna's get
out of here. That's why y That's why Yana is
trying to go to New York. He trying to get
out of there too.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
He didn't try to go. He would have gone if
you really.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Want to go to They were working on it even
in August. Uh No, it's Milwaukee for I don't. I
just don't have a desire and really draws me into Milwaukee. Now,
I'm sure if I go, I might be Wow, actually
a pretty decent city, like a night Sha. I'll tell
you you listening and watch it on YouTube from Milwaukee.
But Toronto ain't going nowhere. Toronto's lit. No, Toronto's seriously,
(36:32):
am my lion Robber Toronto is amazing. I would just say,
you know what, boy, you know what they call him?
Speaker 5 (36:38):
He can rob caution rob anytime it starts with him
talking off air to Alex.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
When you call pretty woman in Milwaukee, they call her
I don't go and say no, I'm not saying.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
They call him lucky. That's very funny. That's good. See
did you say Milwaukee? That was Oh no, he's fine.
He's a Sea Hawks fan. He's Seahawks fans. Yeah, he's
from Wisconsin.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
He's not here next week, and she's suddenly off the
schedule and it's a TVD.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
We know why.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
Well, if I did, if I did add in l A,
New York and Chicago, are you ever everyone gonna say
l A is the best city.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
If I did add those just the best. I'm getting
rid of New York.
Speaker 11 (37:29):
I love New York.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
It's cold, but I love New York.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
It's up to you.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
That's a tough on, Robberie, New York Yankees, New York
for a period of time.
Speaker 9 (37:40):
Is that.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
I can't do long New York, but just a few
days
