your podcasts, and you'll see today's show post it right
after we get off of the air. Rob's special guests.
At the bottom of this hour, we will welcome in
Bill Bradley, former NBA champion with the New York Knicks
and the former US senator. So he's got some stuff

(01:14):
going on, so we will talk to him. That'll be great.
I remember he was running for president Rob years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
I remember that. Yeah, that was in the eighties, wasn't it. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
I kind of wish he'd run now, but good luck.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
All right, Oh you gotta be ninety to run for
president now, I'm just saying.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt. All right, Rob, let's stick with
the NFL. We started, of course, off the show talking
about Jim Harbaugh, who is the new coach of the
Los Angeles Chargers.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
We both think it's a great move for him and
the team, and.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
We expect good things going forward for the Chargers.

Speaker 7 (01:56):
Rob.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Down in Dallas, things not so good.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Rob g come in summarize there's been a mess down
there in Dallas ever since they lost shockingly in the
first round to the Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
But tell us what's been going on.

Speaker 8 (02:12):
Oh that's an understatement, Chris, because not only has Dak been,
you know, catching strays from sports media members like Rob
Parker and Dallas Cowboy fans, now it's spilled over into
his own locker room because the family members of three
separate Dallas Cowboys players, on three separate social media platforms
have all taken their shots at the Cowboys quarterback. First,

(02:35):
it was Ceedee Lamb's mother. Her name is Lita Ramirez,
she was on Facebook and put all caps Dak isn't it.
Then she responded to a comment saying.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
I thought moms was supposed to say if you don't
have anything nice to say.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Don't tweet at all. While she'll go.

Speaker 8 (02:56):
She doubled down Rob because she said they need to
get rid of his ass. It's guys on that team
that want to ring. They work too hard. He don't
want to ring. And then Terrence Parsons Junior, who is
the brother of pass rusher Micah Parsons.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Does he have a podcast too? I want to listen
to No, it.

Speaker 8 (03:15):
Was out of a podcast. He decided to air his
grievances on Instagram. So the second social media site says,
I am questioning your future with a picture of Dak LMAO.
Take forty million or pack your bags. I ain't gonna lie.
You need all the help you can get, so basically saying,
if you're gonna come back to the Cowboys, you better
take a hometown discount because you ain't worth it.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
And last, but not least, this is the craziest one
of them all.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
Dak Prescott's own brother. Now, while he was defending his
brother in his play over all this season, he did
say on Twitter now known as X that he wants
Dak out of Dallas, saying Cowboys fans, why you continue
to DM me?

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Trust me?

Speaker 8 (03:57):
If I could get Dak to leave Dallas, I would
I too want him out of Dallas.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Wow me?

Speaker 6 (04:05):
And you know what, I'll raise my hand to Chris.
I want him out of Dallas too, in the worst way.
I know you're still on board with Dak and think
that they're gonna win a super Bowl with him.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
At some point say that, I just think you can
win this.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Okay, you can win with him. I've seen enough. I'm
not surprised there frustration. He hasn't been there for a year,
two three. This is seven years there, and for eight
it just eight years and Chris, this wasn't he played
well and they lost.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
We can live with that. We can live with that.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
You know, like you can get beat by a better
team that plays better than you on a certain given night.
That that's sports. They're upsets, all kinds of stuff. But
to be in that game, to be unprepared, uninspired, have
a piss poor performance by Dak and go look the
last few years home games where the offense has just

(05:03):
been sputtering and Dak hasn't played well. I'm just I'm
I'm convinced now more than ever that this is who
he is and until further notice, I just I cannot
believe in anything else. I would rather Chris Brussard have
the unknown than the known. I'd rather give the unknown

(05:25):
a chance than to know what ultimately is gonna happen
come January and has happened time and time again. The
Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones, I thought they were about winning.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
But after that embarrassment, one of the worst.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Playoff losses in the history of the Dallas Cowboys, Chris
for them to bring those two guys back and act
like everything's okay, the work okay, the word I was
trying to be nice the worst, and to bring those
two guys back and act like, uh, well, we'll just
run it back, okay.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Look, there have been a lot of court Heck, people
were yelling about Lamar Jackson up until last week. Yeah
he won it, or he's gonna win MVP, But what's
he gonna do in the playoffs? One in three in
the playoffs, you know, and he's six years in Peyton
Manning won his Super Bowl at nine years in and

(06:22):
then those playoffs threw three touchdowns and seven picks.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
So you you don't win it until you win it.
So and look, you can let me just I don't
interrupt you. Two of those guys have something that Dak
doesn't have. Well, Peyton, they're both better than Dak.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Don't get the only well to me, that makes it
even worse. Like you. They were looking at Peyton.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Manny like, dude, you're the best quarterback we've seen. You're
killing it in the regular season, but then we get
in the playoffs and you struggled.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
Now, he had some big games in.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
The playoffs before he won his first Super Bowl, but
he also had some clunkers. I'm just saying that, you know,
this doesn't mean Dak Prescott can never play well in
the playoffs. But what I want to get to Rob,
we know you think they should trade him or move
him on, let him go somewhere else, you know, play
one more year and then leave as a free agent.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
I think they should.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Bring him back and resign him, and I'm pretty convinced
that's what's going to happen. But what I want to
talk about, Rob, is this situation. I mean, Rob if
my wife, you know, tweets out. You know, Rob Parker
is terrible on the eye.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
Couple if it wasn't for him, if he didn't come
to the party though, right, she had already tweeted, I'm
not going to that party?

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
He's terrible on the y air, right, if that happened,
wouldn't you look sideways at me?

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Be honest?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Even if I come out and say publicly, hey, look,
I love Rob. We've done the show together for five
and a half years. It's been great. I got nothing
but love for my man. You know, my wife doesn't
speak for me. She's got her own opinion. That's fine,
but I disagree with it. I mean, I guess maybe

(08:22):
then you might believe Would you believe me?

Speaker 4 (08:24):
Or would you be like man?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
He's obviously talking to his wife in Pillow Chris Pillow talk,
Hey babe, how's the show going?

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Oh god, he's just brutal.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
You know, I gotta stick around because of the loot
is just too good.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
But I just could not work with that guy.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Thank god, I'm in New Jersey and I don't have
to be in the safe studio with him every day.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
But you see what I'm saying, Rob, like, do you
think we talked about this with Trayvon Diggs and Steph Diggs,
stephron Diggs.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
I mean, where's Ceede Lamb's mom getting that from?

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Right? Come on, I'm with you, I'm with you and
and Micah.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Look, Micah came out with a statement, Rob saying he
believes in all his teammates, He's glad to be a
cowboy and you know all that.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
It was a good statement.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
And I will give Micah the benefit of the doubt
because he didn't mention Dak personally. And the only reason
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt is because
his brother criticized the organization, the fans, the coaching staff,
to play calling all that. So maybe Mike was like,
let me just take care of it in one fell swoop.

(09:36):
I would have liked to have seen him, though, say
something about Dak and how he supports him. And beyond that,
though Rob Ceedee Lamb, Rob G has he has he
made any statements about this.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Not as of yet.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
No, So Rob, I'm sorry, Cedee Lamb has to come
out and say something to you know, say look again,
I love my mother and she thinks for herself. She
does for herself, and she has a right to have
her own opinion, but it's not one that I share.

(10:11):
It's not one that I gave her. I believe in
that you know something. If he doesn't, then it makes
me think, especially Rob on the heels of the body
language that we saw from Ceedee Lamb and the interactions
between him and Dak Prescott in that game.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
It's gonna make people think something's up with him.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
And maybe something is.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
I don't know, No, Definitely, there's no other way to
read into it, especially when you hear somebody's mom. You
just Chris, I'm not saying she doesn't know football. And
obviously she's followed her son's whole football career right until
he got to the pros, so she's been around football
and she's watched enough games to have an opinion. But

(10:54):
that you just wonder, like if she knew that her
son really was all about Dak and fuilt like his
career old Dak, My God, to have this quarterback, I'm
getting balls. I'm making money, do you know what I mean? Like,
like she wouldn't be spouting that, she wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Be no, no, and Rob and I'm speculating.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
But if guys don't come out and defend Dak. You
remember at the beginning of season, and I didn't think
it was a big deal, but you remember when tray
Von Diggs and some other to it, we're talking trash
to Dak. Remember that in practice called him to B word.
And I thought it was all in good trash talk
and all that, and maybe it was, like I said,

(11:39):
I think it was. But when something like this happens
and no one comes to his defense, it makes me
wonder is this similar to the situation that was in
Seattle when you had the Legion of Boom and the
great defense and you had Russell Wood right, and they

(12:01):
won a Super Bowl they went back to another one,
But there the defense didn't like not like russ Right.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
There was tension there.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
They didn't like the way he moved and you know
all that, and something like this, unless it's rectified, Rob
makes you wonder is that the case or is it
similar to that in Dallas.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
I've never gotten a whiff of that until this. Yeah,
it could be.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
And you know this, Chris, the frustration of what this
year was supposed to be for the Cowboys and how
they won sixteen in a row at home, and people
were talking about them that this is different.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
They have a chance to get to the super.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
Bowl, all that kind of stuff, and to have it
go down in flames and Dak have a terrible night,
like a terrible game.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
It wasn't like again.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
They lost and there was a few reasons why they
lost lost, and a lot of it had to do
with poor quarterback play.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
The defense didn't play well either, Chris, but don't get
but don't he was bad. He was bad.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
So it's interesting, Rob, Do you think this will lead
to it in party ways quickly? No, I don't think
it's over this.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
But but I I and and financially, Chris, they're they're
painted in the corner. So no, when I talk about
I'd like to see them move on, I understand as
a financial part of it, and he has a no
trade and there's all these other entanglements that difficult. You
think they should, but they should, They would, They should
do whatever they need to do in order to move

(13:40):
on and and and and do something else there, because
it's gonna be another year wasted. It could wind up
being another year or two. If I'm Jerry, I'm just
like my god, Jerry. Is Jerry looking like at a
watch and look at the time go by? Or is
he watching an hour glass with Sam like thinking I got.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
We talked about it. Jerry can talk all that smack
he wants about won the championship. He wants a championship
his way, That's what he wants. He don't just want
a championship.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
All right.

dak Prescott your thoughts, all right.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Chris, do not faint when I mentioned this? Next name? Okay, m.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
Marty in Kentucky, You're the odd couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
What's up Marty?

Speaker 8 (16:05):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Y'aut there in this worship Wednesday.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
How are you, Marty Man? Where you been broh? No,
he's working. He called the other day, Chris, when you
were off. He said he'd been working like a Hebrew slave,
so it's been rough for him.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Man. Groceries are expensive. I got a lot of kids.
How much.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
You taking?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Your priorities are in order? You know, doubt figured out
how that keeps happening.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
You just keep having kids.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
How many kids you have?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
It's four in the house at the moment. Who are
living here?

Speaker 4 (16:38):
And how many other ones?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
All four of them live here? Okay, man, I've been
living here now because you know the older ones might
move out someday. Maybe.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Okay, not with the price of groceries and rent. I'll
tell you that even in Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, yeah, you're right. I think you nailed that on
the head. It's good to hear both, y'all. I called
the other day and Chris wasn't there. But yeah, I'm
getting off a little earlier right now, so I got
a chance to call and on this coment river real quick,
just say hi, what's up Robin?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Chris? What's Chris? What's sounding older the river? How old
are you now?

Speaker 6 (17:25):
How are you man, non, Wow, Chris, we saw this
young man grow up like a little know's.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
We definitely get right, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
On the subject of hand I just feel like Chris
kind of hit the nail right on the head. I
hadn't thought about this, but when he said it, it
just fit. When when this happened in Seattle and the
defense got to the point where they just felt like
they were the reason they do They felt like they

(18:02):
were the reason that they had so much success in
it all the credit. There was animosity there in Dallas.
I feel it's already there. They feel the same money,
but they haven't won yet. And when animosity started Seattle,
things went downhill. So I think there needs to be
there probably needs to be some changes because it's hard
to build chemistry with so much animosity.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Yeah, and you're right, like, look that gets all the
the most of the glory, right, he obviously makes most
of the money. And they probably are looking at it
like man, I mean they should look in the mirror,
at least the guys on the day well, but they.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
Also quits are looking at it going Dak's about to
get sixty million and look at what you know what
I mean like you don't think there's some.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Envy going on in there and Mike and CD are
ready to get paid as they should be.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
Right, there's no doubt that there's some of that. Drew
in Virginia, you're on the couple.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
What's up, Drew.

Speaker 10 (19:02):
Yeah, So this is a completely unbiased opinion. I'm a
Bears fan, of been a Bears fan all my life.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
I feelive you we.

Speaker 10 (19:10):
Have we have some issues. But my thing is is
I've always told all my Cowboys fans, friends that are
Cowboys fans, it's not a Dak problem. It's a Jerry problem.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Chris.

Speaker 10 (19:23):
You made a comment, you made a comment right before
y'all went to commercial that Jerry wants to win it
on his terms. He's never gonna win a Super Bowl
on his terms. You got to rit him out. You've
got to get him out as GM head coach, offensive coordinator,
defensive coordinator, and owner. If you're going to be an owner,
be an owner. If you want to be all the

(19:43):
other stuff, then give your ownership up, be all the
other stuff. That's just my personal opinion.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
No, your personal opinion is right. On the money, your
person is right.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
I listen to y'all I listen to y'all every night
to and from work, even when I'm not working. This
is a second time I'll call love you guys. That's
just my opinion.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Than man, we appreciate you. And Rob he's right on
the money.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
We've talked about it, Jerry, Like I said, save all that,
I want a Super Bowl more than anything else in
the world. I'll do anything to get a Super.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
No, you won't. You know what you won't do. You
won't stop talking.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
You won't let your football people do the football stuff right.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
And that won't And that's the issue it really is.
Let's squeeze one more in Gary from Houston. You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Gary?

Speaker 11 (20:37):
Yeah, So even if CD comes in, like the fans
back and this about the comments, like honestly, like I
wouldn't believe him because the curtains already been pulled back.
Think about it. Okay's mom is a mom. Why would
she want to put her son in this bad of
a position so that she thought he was okay with it?

Speaker 7 (20:55):
And you're right, I.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Don't know if you can fix it. You're right, I mean,
because you're right. The most you're gonna say, like the COmON.

Speaker 11 (21:05):
Yeah, and then and the second thing is, okay, so
if the Cowboy's pay Dax Pascott's the money he wants
at sixty million, I think what they're saying is the
super Bowl is just icing on the cake, and we
like what we are with him his whole career.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Well, what what's the alternative? There is an alternative? That's
the problem. What do you think they should do?

Speaker 11 (21:24):
How think they can't trade him?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
So like he's he's got a no trade cla, no, no,
you gotta get him to agree to it.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
But I agree, like, okay, take your medicine. They used to.
They've taken their medicine for three decades.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
All right, Tony and Los Angeles, you're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
What's up, Tony?

Speaker 7 (21:59):
Hey, what the Cowboys need to do is trade up
to get arch Manning whenever it's his turn to go
to the draft. They got to get a Texas guy
to put pressure on Prescott because I never heard of
Prescott when he was in college, Like, did you ever
hear him when he was in collage?

Speaker 1 (22:13):
I mean he played with Mississippi or Mississippi State State,
but it would be remembering a year. But he wasn't
a huge I mean, he was a very good player,
but he wasn't.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
But arch Manning isn't ready. It's another year, right, one
more year?

Speaker 7 (22:27):
Well, just pay pay Prescott now and draft many later
and put pressure on Prescott and then if he crashes Prescott.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
I mean when he crashes, not if when I was
just down on him.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
I'm down on him. You picked him to reach the
super Bowl, is yeah, and he let me down.

Speaker 7 (22:45):
That's why I'm down on all right, Thank you guys, Thanks.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Tony appreciating what part don't you get?

Speaker 6 (22:51):
You know, normally, whatever I'm talking about has something to
do with the way I look and my picks.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
If you you hurt man, you look bad right now?

Speaker 6 (23:00):
I look bad. So I'm I'm gonna take it out
on Dak in the count. The Ravens make me look good.
I love Lamar, I mean right, I love Lamar.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
I know you do. I do too. You know they
my pick too? So all right?

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven, nine, nine, six,
sixty three, sixty one or sixty nine, if anyone wants
to weigh in. So Rob, one of our callers made
a good point, like it's definitely fixable. Even if Dak
feels like CD said that about him, you can have

(23:37):
And you know me, Rob, I'm a heart to heart guy.
Like if I'm have a friend, a coworker, somebody have
to deal with and we have an issue, Let's talk
it out, all right, Let's sit down like men and
talk it out. And if because do you agree that
even if CD comes out and says something publicly, that

(23:59):
DA gonna be like he said.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
But Chris, I gotta say this. You're one way, and
I think that what you said is fair accurate. But
we also know other.

Speaker 6 (24:12):
People in our business who have shows or work with
people didn't talk for two years, you know what I mean,
off the air, right, or never went out to dinner
or never you know what I mean, like to be buddies, right.
But I'm just saying, who if you aren't on the air,
don't utter a word to each other. I mean, just
think about so, so it could be like that, where so.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
You saying they could coexist. Even if they.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
Coexist, but it don't mean that it could ever be
repaired fully, is what I'm saying. Where where you could
work together and still do you do your gig. But
but it might be for Dak to hear that be
like that came from CD. I don't care what he
could tell me. Whatever you want, Oh that's my mama
talking whatever whatever you.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Know, Like, well that's my thing though, Like you're right.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
I mean, guys we know of it who have radios,
have radio shows, TV shows, whatever, don't talk off the air, And.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
I get I don't know. That's certainly similar.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
But in this case, Dak would be feeling like this, dude,
don't even think I'm any good.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Like it's not oh he don't like me.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
He hit on my girlfriend one time, or we had
a fight in a bar or whatever. You know what
I mean, like something personal that's away from football.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
This is you don't think I can play now.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
I guess maybe you say the answer is go out
there and play well and show me.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Yeah, but I mean that that is the answer.

Speaker 6 (25:49):
But there's also another dynamic to it, Chris, is the
financial that they can be resentful too. You know what
I mean, well, making sixty, we can't pay you what
you what you had a breakout year CD or unbelievable,
you know what I mean. But but we can't with

(26:09):
you're hamstrung because of that. Oh that dude, that dude
to lay the egg in the first playoff game at home,
Like that's where that comes in.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Well, you and I we actually believe they should pay
based on how great you are, regardless of position.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Right, not the position.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
If we we feel that way, which I think, Rob,
We're probably.

Speaker 5 (26:32):
In the minority among media, but I bet you among.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Players, I bet it's far more players feel the way
we do.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
I would if I was a player, I'd be like, Okay,
he's the quarterback. I get it.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
He ain't even close to as good as I am
at my position.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Right, I'm the best player. I'm the best player.

Speaker 6 (26:54):
Right, I'm the best player on the team, I understand
at most points. And and he's he should be making
what Patrick Mahomes or or somebody like that is making
just because Patrick Mahomes is making that He's got two
MVPs and two super Bowls.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Like, like, I get that, this guy has nothing. Why
is he making Patrick Mahomes money? Yeah, and I think.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Again, like a lot of media people, analytics people will
rationalize it, but I think a lot of players are
just looking at it, you know, in a much simpler
terms like, Yo, I'm sorry, he's not he shouldn't be
making that, and I'm making a half of what he's making,

(27:38):
you know, So I don't know it's it's I think
it's something they're gonna have to deal with. I think
they's something they're gonna have to figure out. I mean,
like you said, you can play through things like this.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Teams have done it, Teams do it.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Yeah, people, you gotta work to it. You're professional.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
You're not gonna not do your job or not making
your living, Chris, because you got an issue. Every You're
not gonna be everything's not gonna be cool, I mean, right,
even in marriages or friendships or relate. There comes moments
where stuff happens and you gotta be able to deal
with it and is it worth working towards something, you

(28:18):
know what I mean? And I think that's what they
have to look at. I think if he performs well, Chris,
then those things don't factor in as much, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
If he's playing well, but if.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
They go through another year when another twelve or thirteen
twelve games and he throws another stinker in the playoffs,
and you know, like it gets to.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
At the thing for them to rib is I mean,
there are certain teams where this is the case.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
It doesn't matter to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
They gonna win between eleven and thirteen games next year,
probably they would you agree with that, Yeah, probably they're
gonna I think they're gonna be a playoff team ten
at the worst, but probably eleven at least. And every
and Dak was great this year for like, I think
it was his best season and he will probably finish

(29:11):
second in MVP, was second team All Pro. None of
that's gonna matter. So Rob next year, he could come
out and play great in the regular season. He could
play even better in the regular season, and people are
gonna be like, yeah, we'll see, we'll see what happens
in January. And he's gonna have to live with that

(29:33):
and deal with that, and maybe even some of his
teammates might be thinking that way. Yeah, And so that's
the thing, like he's not gonna be able to answer
any questions until the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
Right, And that's the problem because that's a long time
from now, and even if he has a good regular
season again, people are gonna be like, so, what did
that last year?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Yep, yep, all right, Well, Dak Prescott's not the only
Pro Bowl quarter back who could be on the move
this offseason.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
We'll get into that next. It's the Eye Couple Fox

(30:40):
Code America American Meat Delivered. All right, Rob, we have
seen one coaching vacancy phil today at least Jim Harbaugh
going to the Chargers, Bill Belichick, you know, and the
Falcons still talking. I guess there's talk about Kirk cousins

(31:02):
going there. If I'm Bill Belichick, Rob, that's like a
prerequisite for me to get.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
But I don't think he's going there without a quarterback.
I think that's definitely Chris. I think he would be crazy,
like like they guy the days of melting away for
Bill Belichick and and and.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
Chris and you as well as anybody. He doesn't why
you know what, it's unbelievable, but that is true.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
Okay, yeah I did, but but you get My point
is like he's getting up there in age and he
wants the record, Like you didn't come this far not
to get the record. Chris, you know, would be great
if he won again. Yeah, it'd be great if he
won again.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
But let me tell you, you.

Speaker 6 (31:51):
Don't want to be awful with a team which rebuilding
and three years later you're still four winds short short,
you know, like like that's where you can't.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Be totally agree, totally agree. Now where you and I
different is I actually think he I think he wants
a super Bowl too, And I don't mean once everybody
wants a super Bowl, but I think I think he's
eyeing that. I think him and Tom Brady are fine

(32:22):
in their relationship. But I also think he's competitive, Rob,
and I think he's like, you know, he knows what
everybody's saying that Brady's wanted the divorce. He hadn't done
anything without Brady. So I'm sure he'd love to go
somewhere and win a championship. And I think he wants

(32:42):
to be in a situation where they can compete.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
For one.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Now, they have a lot of talent on that team,
and you know he's gonna improve the defense offensively. If
they got a Kirk Cousins, Rob, they would be nice
in that division.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
So and I would love to see Kirk Cousins. That
division's up for Greg. Oh.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Yeah, and look, Kevin O'Connell is a very good coach
out in Minnesota. But I would love to see Kirk
Cousins with Bill Belichick. I think that would be interesting
to see how that marriage went. And so yeah, I
think if I'm the Atlanta Falcons, if I'm Bill Belichick,

(33:25):
I'm not signing with him until I know we're getting
a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Now, the other.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Guy out there, Russell Wilson, I mean, obviously you rather have.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
Now what'd you make of I wonder I know we
didn't really get it all the way in, and I
know you're hired on Russell Wilson at least higher than.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Greg Jennings was.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
How surprised were you with Greg Jennings was saying that
he's not sure he's a starting quarterback. And then again,
I'm gonna say this to Greg, and you know this,
other people thought Baker Mayfield wasn't the starting quarterback.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
And I know Baker's younger Chris and and and Russell's
got you know, a little longer in the tooth, right,
But I don't.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
I don't believe that Russell Wilson is still not a
starting quarter I'd have to see another really bad year
for me to believe that. I was surprised Greg was
saying that he he didn't think he was a starter.

Speaker 5 (34:18):
Yeah, I agree with you on that. I think Greg
went too far.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Now, you can probably name on one hand the places
that make sense for Russell to Wilson to go to
or for teams to take a chance on it. But Rob,
if we look at Russell Wilson and I get I
will say this because I you know, I watch all these.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Games, Rob, I got them all on the.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
TVs and the forty screens down in your guy, I'm
watching them all but and obviously you can't catch everything,
but you.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Catch a lot.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Russell Wilson did not play as well as his numbers
would suggest.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
But better than the year before, way better. Rob.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
These are his numbers, twenty six touchdowns, eight interceptions. Guess
you know how many quarterbacks in the AFC threw more
touchdowns than Russell Wilson. Take a guess how many how
many quarterbacks in the AFC threw more touchdowns than Russell Wilson?

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Eighteen three? Is that it?

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Josh Allen had twenty nine. Wow, TUA had twenty. I
thought it was a trick question. That's what Rock Mahomes
had twenty seven and Wilson only played fifteen games. Mahomes
played sixteen in TUA and Josh Allen played seventeen. So
I mean, statistically is that and I get it. I
watched the games he wasn't. I mean, I'm almost baffled

(35:53):
by how good his numbers are because he didn't look
that great. It looked like they're offense stalled a lot
in the red zone and just you know, I had
to settle for field goals or didn't score a lot.
But he also rob had a ninety eight passer rating.
I mean only again one two, three, four five. He
was sixth in the league in passer rating. So I

(36:19):
agree with you to say he's not a starter. Now
where Rob I said it.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
It's different about saying that he's not a fit somewhere Chris,
but to say he's not he's not good enough to
play in the league with all of these teams, nobody
has a halfway a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
The talk, I guess a lot of people think he'll
end up with the Raiders. I don't really like that
for them or him. I just I mean, yeah, well,
who the kid they have now, Chris?

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Please?

Speaker 1 (36:46):
No, right he would be their starter or at least
start the season he, you know, get the chance to
be Rob. I think Pittsburgh's the place for ball control offense.
Probably they'll run.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
They run. You know, they ran it well at the
end of the year.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
You know, he's got some dynamic receivers there, a good
tight end. Obviously, the defense is gonna be tough, Like
I think that's the place. And right, Mike Townland, how
much longer is he gonna tread water with these backup
quarterbacks masquerading their starters?

Speaker 6 (37:25):
You can't keep doing it, Chris dude at some point
because people aren't gonna just be like, Okay, yeah we
were nine and eight or we were over five hundred.
And you see the numbers. The offensive numbers in the
postseason are embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
They're so bad.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, and I look, I give him credit for getting
to the postseason, but you're right. I mean, they got
no chance once they get there, and so I think
he's the guy that they should go after route And
again you're going to essentially get him for the minimum
because Denver's gonna have to pay all his salary. So
to me, it's a no bringer. All Right, it's the

(38:02):
hock Cup. We have one hour left. Y'all know what
to do.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
Lock it.
