and we appreciate it. I appreciate everyone.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Martin. There's been a lot of talk about Caleb Williams.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
We're gonna get to that, uh that game Saturday against
the Packers. I don't care what kind of a sports
fan you are. You don't have to have any horse
in the race, dog and the show pony.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Nothing. Okay, if you didn't get chills at.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
That play, that throw game winner, over time, the catch,
the reaction to the fans, that Soldier field, the videos
of people, you know, everybody puts a camera on them
now while they're watching the game to see the ending
and how.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
They respond to react.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
And I don't know if it's different because you know,
you have a camera on you, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
You sauce it up a little bit, Martin. But it
was incredible.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
It was incredible, and the Bears have been what a
great story and the development of Caleb Williams. But a
lot of people have been Caleb william bashers, like this year,
even when they were winning. Oh they haven't beaten anybody.
Oh they have done this. Then they beat Philadelphia and
Philadelphia and all these they keep checking these boxes. They

(03:43):
can't beat the Packers. Aaron Rodgers, remember what he said,
he owned the Bears, right, he owned the Bears. And
then they beat the Packers in the game they were
down by ten with two four to go or whatever
it was before they came back tied the game of
regulation and winning in overtime. Just your thoughts on where
you are from the beginning. With Caleb Williams, I'd say

(04:06):
it like, I think that was my quarterback.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
I mean, it's not a controversial thing to say that
that's the guy who I thought was going to be
the best quarterback in this class and still honestly think
is going to be the best quarterback in this class.
I know that we've had our flirtations with Jayden Daniels as.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
His great rookie year. It's not shocked that he took
a step back. And I'm not saying with the injury,
I'm not. It's just because I saw that as well.
You know, everybody crown CJ. Stroud after the first year.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
And so you know you saw that, you know, to
the point you saw the hail Mary by Jayden Daniels
to McLaurin against against the Bears that kind of like
set their seasons on different trajectories.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
If you remember if you watched that game, and I
know you did, uh they Caleb had watched the team
down to score the touchdown to put them ahead, sure right,
and then all of a sudden that turned everything around
with the hail Mary. We got the dB talking to
the fans in the stands while the play's going on.

(05:07):
Just just a crazy moment.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
You have that moment last year, you have the Lions
game where Lomas Brown, your friend's friend of the show,
is literally all the Lions radio broadcasts saying, what are
the Bears doing? This coach is trying to get fired?

Speaker 7 (05:22):
Right?

Speaker 6 (05:22):
And then you know he had several different things that
you made this year when they lost. No, I'm talking
about Caleb's rookie year, Matt. That's how bad it was.
The opposing radio broadcasters saying trying to get fired exactly right, Caleb,
After that whole time period, He's not throwing anybody under
the bus. He's doing everything at the podium how you

(05:42):
would want your franchise quarterback to say it. It showed a
lot to me, a guy who at the time I
had no real concerns Caleb about his play coming out
of college.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
It was more is he gonna climb in the stands?

Speaker 8 (05:54):
Like?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Is he gonna like? That was what we were like.
Most people had at least as.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
A second line of concern about Kayleb Williams, Right, is
he too effeminate?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Is he gonna paint his nails? A guy's gonna adjust
to that. Well, Year one showed me he's gonna be
wear his bell bottom.

Speaker 9 (06:08):
Well.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Year one showed me he'll be just fine dealing with that.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
And it was an immense dysfunction around him comes out afterwards.
He says after the season, said, I was trying to
watch tape and I had trouble help somebody I needed.
I wanted help watching tape and I had trouble finding
someone to do that for me.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
That's insanity, right. And then to me, when you see
the the.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Ben Johnson influence from and I wasn't sure that Ben
Johnson was going to be a good coach or.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Not, right, I don't. I don't think it was automatic.
It's not an automatic. A lot of people to say
everybody's gonna be a good coach.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Mike mec daniel was supposed to reinvent football, right, and
then he goes to you know how, so Ben Johnson
gets to Chicago, though, and to me, you see the
growth in Caleb Williams, and you see the growth in
the team in a way that Caleb Williams was never
the I should say never, but he was not the
reason why his rookie year the Bears were losing games,

(07:02):
right and you see right here right now, he's not
the read those games that the Bears have lost. Even
with this completion percentage, He's playing well enough, as you see,
to put them in positions to win and has the
ability to make those high level extra leverage. The type
of players you see Mahomes, Josh Allen Lamar at his
height when things are going well, like that play against

(07:23):
the Packers.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
That is something that like one of one type of
guys do, right. I agree if you.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Think everybody's making those throws and winning those games in
the fourth quarter, he tied Peyton Manning, one of the
all time great quarterbacks, for six fourth quarter comebacks.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Like it's not like everybody's doing this.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
He has touchdown the interception ratio, I think a thousand
minimum passes, he's second.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
To Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Like you know, career wise, like like you start to
dig in some of these numbers and there's some point
of it, like you almost not wish you would throw
more interceptions, but in his rookie year, there's some you
kind of wish you would push the ball a little more.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
It's like, hey, I see, you got to see a
wide open and throw it. And you know, obviously that's
not how it's always going to work. Sometimes you got
to fit the ball into.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
A tight window. But this is the thing I say,
he's got all the ability to do that.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
The question with Caleb Williams after rookie year was is
he going to be able to do quote unquote the
easy things, the layups.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
And be content with that.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Every week I see a different quarterback who is seeming
more and more and more content with turning around and
handing the ball off, throwing the ball away, checking the
ball down, the things that keep you on the field
and the keys that keep your drives alive to then
be able to hit that big explosive place when when
it comes exactly that's and that's the funny thing about

(08:48):
the last the Bears game less without the onside kick recovery.
We don't see any of that stuff happen. The on
side kick was, but the onside kick was the most
unlikely to happen.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Yea, but that right, I fear that Caleb Williams to
come back in the late fourth quarter overtime game and
ding ding ding ding ding.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
It hit a big throw it hit a big play.

Speaker 10 (09:07):
And win the game.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
That wasn't making a couple of big runs right now,
it wasn't surprising to me. The least likely thing that
happened was the on side kick, And the most surprising
thing that happened.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
In that game to me was the onside kick.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Well, here's the other part. There are a lot of
people over time we were bashed. Caleb, we talked about it. First,
let's hear from Caleb. And then Dan Kelly is a
former scout who's out there who this was it earlier
this season? Right Lee earlier this season said he was
a bust. Earlier this season, this guy said that he was.
Dan Kelly said, Daniel Kelly said he was a bust.

(09:39):
But first, this is Caleb.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
First.

Speaker 11 (09:42):
You know, it wasn't the biggest, It wasn't the strongest,
It wasn't the tallest, fastest, whatever the case may be.
You know, I get I get drafted here. You know,
told that I'm not a special player. I told that
I'm not uh you know, a good fit here, told
that you know, coach and I won't work. I've told
you know I can't win here. And so you know,

(10:04):
I know that's going to keep going on. But you
know I do take a little satisfaction and and things
like that, and you know, being able to help this team,
help this organization, be a part of it, you know,
to get to the playoffs. And you know, my goal
isn't to just get to the playoffs. My goal is
to win and win and win big.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
I mean, you couldn't ask for a better said rebuttal
to all the stuff that he's gone through and all
the people who have doubted him and talk about it.
John Middlekoff is a Scout two former Scout rightst and
and I saw one of his podcasts earlier this year

(10:45):
and basically said.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Caleb hadn't improved the Bears offense.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Uh can't be fixed with Caleb, you know, like just
I would say, wrote them off. And I'll give John
middlecough credit because he said he's wrong, Like you know,
he he said he's wrong, that he that he missed this,
that he did not see this part.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Earlier in the season, and blah blah blah blah whatever
it is.

Speaker 9 (11:12):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
And Daniel Kelly I got into it with him, and
I guess this was last year? Is that when that was?

Speaker 3 (11:17):
That was? Uh, let's just hear a little bit.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Daniel Kelly has been one of the biggest critics of Caleb.

Speaker 12 (11:23):
Williams, and I'm still in the same spot with Caleb Williams.
I was pre draft, you know, I had a four
throne grade going into there. The draft process label him
as a is a shuretfire one dust if he won
the first round.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
I haven't moved off that he's still you're still gonna
hold on to a one hundred percent bust.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Come on, now, wait a minute, I just can't.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
I need you, Daniel, to own up that you got
this one wrong, okay, because he's not a one hundred,
one hundred percent bust.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Really, have you seen him a one hundred percent bust?

Speaker 9 (11:57):
I've seen him.

Speaker 8 (11:58):
I've seen him.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I've seen him, and you still think he's a one
hundred bust.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
Yes, I see him have success against two of the
worst teams in the NFL. Against the Carolina Panthers and
Jacksonville Jaguars were both one win teams the time they
played him. I saw him with all the short thinking
Doug passes that were the seventy three percent against the
Rams within that game.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Who are you supposed to play? Who are you supposed
to play against.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Did you when you look at Tom Brady in the
and the AFC least and he beat up on the
Jets and the Bills and the Miami Dolphins for fifteen years,
did you downgrade him because he played terrible cop, bad
competition or not?

Speaker 9 (12:37):
I didn't evaluate him in all fairness.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
All right, there you go. That was me and Daniel
Kelly the Scout. But I do want to hear from
the doubters. This is your this is your night to
come clean. If you doubted Caleb, if you had a
problem with his bell bottoms and the fingerpot, nail polish
or whatever you what, whatver it is, can you really

(13:02):
take a look and be honest now and say this
guy's something special.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
I'm serious. Here's your opportunity.

Speaker 4 (13:10):

made a catch a jingle like this.

Speaker 3 (14:03):

not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in

Speaker 9 (17:03):
Hey, man, I met I was wrong because my cousin
is a big fan of Chicago. I said, I can't.
The only people I know that have painted fingernails were
sense when I was a kid. You know, so I
didn't tell them about to paint the figenails at the
bail bottles. You know, That's the only thing. What the
thing is, man, I don't bout know what to call
the quarterback. They having it rough this year, you know

(17:24):
what I'm saying, Just like dude was trying to say
he wasn't that good wallgu and I'm like, what does
he gotta do too? Exactly, But let me say one
more thing before I get off here. I just want
to tell everybody because it just boils down to the
same thing. Don't have a give up. You know what
I'm saying it no matter what goes on in your life,
just don't give up. Because a few weeks ago, I

(17:45):
was about to be a victim.

Speaker 10 (17:46):
Of my crib.

Speaker 9 (17:46):
I I lost my job and every day and my

of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
What's happening.

Speaker 16 (18:50):
I just wanted to just say, I'm sorry. I drink
my shoulda using a sissy stick and I'm sorry I
would fight about Caleb Williams. My ozzy eyes worn't had
black stringer nails all the time, and I wear with
you the sign Nike, I got a go gost.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Okay, thank you for uh dark Oh, thank you. I'm
just I mean, he did say.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
I think he just remembers rock stars.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Did.

Speaker 9 (19:17):
Plendy?

Speaker 4 (19:18):
I mean, I know, but but football players know. I mean,
that was the issue for a lot of people. Sean
in Wisconsin, you're on the eyd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Merry Christmas to you and yours. What's up?

Speaker 9 (19:31):
Sewan, what's going on, fellas. Merry Christmas to y'all.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Thank you Christmas.

Speaker 17 (19:38):
UH just wanted I ain't gonna talk about Kayler William
because I'm a Packers and I'm just playing anyways. I
just wanted to let y'all boys know that, Uh, you know,
I struggle with mental health around here, and uh, Christmas
is kind of dark for me. I just wanted to
let y'all know. Thanks for always still getting on and
talking great sports. Rob. I want to thank you personally

(20:01):
because you always show up on a lot of holidays.
I know I've called it in the past and talked
a lot of crap about you, especially back when Chris
Brussard was on the show. But I just want to
appreciate you and wish I both from Mary Christmas a
happy holiday.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Man coming through. Sean, thank you, my man. We appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
That's why Alex and I work on the Hot Week.
Alex brought it up earlier. Sean, thank you, my man.
And UH continue to improve and get better, but we
appreciate the kind words.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
And Sean know that everything is temporary. It's always going
to get better.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
All right, my man said, don't quit, No doubt.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
David in Canada, your we lost, David, Paul and Astro.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's
up Paul?

Speaker 10 (20:48):
Hey Fellows, this is gonna be the quickest confession you're
ever here. I was on last segment, talked about the
Ravens instead it was a mutual party. And you gotta
said something very profound and so simple as we were
getting off the phone, and that was, you have to
have a quarterback. So get the hell horbow the hell
out of town, get back on the horse. And I
confess I was wrong, and Mary Christmas.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
There you go.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
I was, you know what that will be done eventually?
Is best done immediately? I said, I it took you about.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Fifteen right, He said, you use you gotta have a quarterback.
I gotta have one. How about is that? Nick? In Massachusetts?
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio? What's up?

Speaker 8 (21:25):
Nick?

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Eaving? Merry Christmas, Mary Christallims. When Caleb Williams was at
usc and he lost and he cried to his mama,
I thought he was gonna be a bum, but I
was incorrect. I don't know if he matured or grew up,
or he's the same guy, but he figured it out.
And Rob, will you apologize for what you said about
Tom Brady?

Speaker 3 (21:48):
I was right.

Speaker 14 (21:48):
I called him the load, the luckiest of all time.
I was I wasn't wrong.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
How about that? Nick?

Speaker 7 (21:55):
How did you say? We don't have to get into
this conversation right now because I very much grieve of
Merry Christmas?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Nick? Hey, Nick, we'll do me and you, we'll do
it together.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
I want, I want to have that conversation with you, Okay,
I really will, all right, Nick, appreciated Merry Christmas. Dave
in Winnipeg, you're in the couple of Fox Sports where
that's awesome. A place I have not been to. I've
been the place in cand There you go, man, Winnipeg.
I need to get there. That's on my on my list.

Speaker 9 (22:29):
It's freezing cold up here. You don't want to come here.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Man, Now, I'm not gonna come in the winter. Absolutely
do it, no doubt.

Speaker 10 (22:36):
But what you got, Dave, Well, I always had faith
and the Caleb fucking mister.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Well that was fun.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
We both do it. I know it's cold, but not
that cold. That's what the is that? Patrick?

Speaker 4 (22:51):
In a Aruba, you're in the yard couples Okay, I couldn't.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
I'm just doom in on them glasses. Bro Patrick, it's
so small. Patrick, you're on the eye couple.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
What's up? Unless you're in a rub? That's right? All right?
How are you?

Speaker 18 (23:06):
This is Azusa, home of the Aztec Yes, hey, guys,
I'll tell you what. Caleb Willis made a believer out
of me because for him coming out of See, he
had problems his senior year, his last year there, it
was like, Okay, we know he can he's mobile, but
can he make those passes? And he had a hard
time his last year. I see him this year great
improvements and you know what, he makes the plate longer

(23:30):
and the guys get open for me espech as that
you know he's be't making the pass, but that last pass, oh,
he wasn't even sending to speed and he's like, no
one else can get it, and he put it there.

Speaker 9 (23:41):
That's that's talent. That is talent.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
You know.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
I don't know if there's a guy in the league
don't rose the ball better at full speed? Yeah, like
when Caleb is running full speed and throws the ball
on a line.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
You're absolutely right, Patrick, you said something. You said you
want you're a believer. There we go for you. And
then I saw his task. I'm a believer and not
a trace.

Speaker 13 (24:06):
Oh down in my mind.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I'm in love with Caleb. Believe. I couldn't believe him
if I tried. All right, are you there, Patrick, You're
there with us, right, your believer?

Speaker 9 (24:22):
I believe with you guys, all right?

Speaker 3 (24:24):
I like how, I like how the songs.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
I saw his toss now don't believe now. I saw
him throw for a first down. I don't believe it now.
I saw a bomb for a touchdown. I saw a
half back toss, and now I believe.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
I'm gonna wat you.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
I gotta write, you know, and make it that rhyme.
And I'm a writer, you know what I mean?

Speaker 14 (24:43):
When I saw him with Caleb, that's I mean, that's
the part that's great?

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Is it my favorite?

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Alex had me add that in. That wasn't the original?
I mean, you have to show the song, right, I
didn't have that.

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Man, You're like, who are you believing in? Right now?

Speaker 3 (24:59):
I like something.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
Times this song comes to Rob, and sometimes Rob forces
the song.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
I got the greatest hits. How many songs we got
in there?

Speaker 5 (25:06):
We could drop a Christmas mix easily easily.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Everybody's still the Twitter song top chart, top of the.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Chart, Oh man, well do Twitter song is one of
the better ones. Twitter is especially because so a lot
of these.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
If I may as to somebody, I'm not here every day.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
I have vacation on the couple, but I am very
familiar with the odd couple can and have been here
for a long time. Some of your songs are like,
you know, because you like a player, right, or you
dislike a player, or something something happened on the TV
and you saw it or whatever. I personally like the
songs that are inspired by a real world event that occurred,

(25:49):
like the Twitter song.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
That was a real thing that happened to you in life, right,
you know what I mean? Like that?

Speaker 6 (25:56):
Like like if you were to make a song about
the time, remember the time you went to the convenience
store and they had the advertisement on the window and
it was for ten cents more. They tried to charge
you ten cents more and you weren't going for it.
This goes back, you would have made That's something that
you would have made a song like. I probably would
have liked that song better than just stat Bad Bird.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
But but the Dubai song. The Dubai song. I went
to Dubai and I had to. That's when I had
to come up with a song for going to Dubai.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
You say, and I say, Dubai, Dubai, Dubai. I jumped
on a plane in the sky.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
And went to Dubai.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I don't know why I.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Went to, but I went to.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
The audio from that sounds like it was recorded and
mixed the career. I will say this, when I went
to Dubai, I was ready to say goodbye.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
I was.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
I was.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
You didn't like it. I remember your experience was not good.
That's got shick man. It was just not poisoning day one.

Speaker 6 (26:59):
Man, all right, I never realized how far you were
when you can't eat anything.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
And also, Ron, before we go too far, we have
to play some of the greatest hits. Since it's the
holidays of my Twitter.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
It's my Twitter, and I'll block it by walk to
block it.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
By water about walk you would block to if they
tried this. You don't get better than that, right, Alex?
What you want the best?

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Oh man? I have to still go with my favorite
the Twitter because it was so personal you could hear it.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yes, Lee. No, I'm okay, I'm one of the first
time I've heard the Dubai one.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Hear it right?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Oh, that's a beggar. I like that.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
If you really, if you know the backstory behind the
Twitter one, I think it's I think that's what makes
it the best.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
All of them will catch you too.

Speaker 9 (27:48):
You know.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
I don't know if Lee's heard this one, but once
upon some time, once upon a time, you did try to,
you know, pitch something to Burger King. Should we play
that one?

Speaker 3 (27:55):
Yeah, let's do that. That's the one. Yes, what you
came on, your Burger King. You're the ruler for everyone,
your burger I wrote that age by my side, glem

(28:17):
wrapping in the bun. Give me some extra pickles because
your Burger King?

Speaker 9 (28:32):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (28:33):
What you just what that had a deal with? Lee?
How does it? How do you even how does that
even start? I don't even know, Alex what happened?

Speaker 14 (28:43):
We were just if something happened at night, and we
started talking about like doing a TV spot or commercial
and that when it came up, I think Lee, you
went into music.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
No, your burger was King. I was trying to pitch
that the Burger King. Yeah, I think you tried a
little too in a bud.

Speaker 9 (29:02):
So.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
I don't make songs yet yet, but I do come
up with like fake movie and TV show ideas all
the time.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
The most recent one X miss but e x mass Right.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
Instead of going to the ghost of Christmas, past, president,
and future, you go back to your exes, all guys
visited by all his out there. Someone's going to write
that nobody makes movies, nobody makes it the ten million
dollar movie anymore.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
It's this is a thing of the past.

Speaker 19 (29:30):
This actually does happen to be every Christmas.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
So I like I've lived it. You thought violent night,
I already came out. I'll tell you, Alex, what else
we got?

Speaker 5 (29:44):
Oh, I got so much in this holiday winter trough.
Now let's go back to a time where we can
go back to the rat pack days and Rob Parker
had a clever thing for us. Frank Sinatra two, oh.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Yeah, feel that home you and see mister Bella check,
won't ok.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Hey, the way you do your thing.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Ding ding ding, this is pretty good and you'll get yours,
mister Bella check. Fooling around with that young stuff like
you do.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
That was not bad, especially too because it's got layers.
You know what I'm saying. Come on, did you hear me? Now?

Speaker 9 (30:29):
I was?

Speaker 3 (30:29):
I had pipes there right there A lot of time
to even ask him how that was good?

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Alex Right, Rob, I have to say you never disappoint
because even if you don't know how to spell something,
he still gives it a try. Let's give a listen.

Speaker 13 (30:45):
My belone her first names has a second name, ry Are.

Speaker 3 (30:59):

Speaker 3 (31:10):

We just love to have some fun and throw some
stuff out there.

Speaker 6 (31:42):

for former former co worker so one that she said
he recently unblocked.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Oh yeah, Oh why because freedom? Now, Yeah, I sent

Oh you let him know? Did he text you back?

Speaker 4 (32:12):

can't believe. Godlief couldn't find the time of this day.
He's got the whole, he's got the midday open. Now,
you know what I'm saying. He didn't text me back.
That's all good. I didn't find the time. It's all good.
It was. It was in good faith, for real. I'm
wishing him the best of luck. No wonder he blocked.

(32:35):
I hope he blocked a number after that. And you
know what on his on the All Ball podcast. You know,
but it's I did block him, so but yeah, that did.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
You know what's funny is is I tried out with
Doug gott Leep on Game Night on the other network.
Like you didn't many many moons again, we tried. I
tried out with him with my big break on National Way.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
That was with Doug.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
God, I know exactly what you mean with the way
you said it at first he's a basketball coach.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Now I try it out with him. I said, oh what,
you didn't make the cut. No, no, I was back
in the day. That was a long That was twenty

Speaker 4 (36:07):
We got another hour plus to go here on the
program on this Christmas Eve. But Lea, are you ready?
I want to start with you and then Alex Martin
and then me. Just your best Christmas gift? You ever
got just one that sticks with you late?

Speaker 3 (36:24):
What about you? Sure? I've actually got one as an
adult and one as a kid. If you'll indulge this one.

Speaker 19 (36:30):
It keeps on getting in my craw because famously I
had a backpack stolen from me last year and I
made it on the airwaves.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
I talked about it at a bunch.

Speaker 19 (36:37):
It was given to me by Jonas Knox and it
was the best bag travel bag I'd ever got. Was wow, nomadic,
it was so cool. It had all the compartments you needed.
It could stretch out so you can make it into
a small backpack or a big luggage bag that you
take everywhere. And every time I go traveling, I missed
that bag. But yeah, that's a couple of homeless fellows.
Took that out of my car a few years years

(36:58):
a year ago to replace that all the time. But
I always remember as a kid, my dad had a
deal with Playmates Toys when teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was
going down and I got really spoiled Christmas and got
like every single name.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Oh wow, that would have been awesome Playmates.

Speaker 6 (37:14):
I thought that was going another way now, but he said,
as a kid, that's why I was going another way.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
Alex, what about you?

Speaker 5 (37:23):
But it's funny to say. The one that always sticks
out to me is the thing that I always wanted
because I grew up very humbly, you know, like my
family was surroun outside the country. They were starting off,
and I remember the first gaming system I got was
an Xbox, the original Xbox. Wow telling you it led
to the greatest summer of my childhood life where all oh,
I was probably like eleven, and.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
You must when when you opened that on Christmas.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
I geeked out like the kids saying it And what's
wild is back then there was no internet. There was
no like playing online. So all the neighborhood kids would
get together. Shout out to the Luke family. We would
use two separate TVs, system link or Xbox isn't had
four kids in one room, four kids in the Wow,
hot pockets, pop tarts, playing Halo all summer. It was
the best childhood.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
No, that's a great, that's great.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
It was incredible. Kids still talked and got together.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
You know right well when you came out of your house,
you guys all were still playing laying games. Yes, in
the same room mine, believe it or not, I forget old.
Was maybe third grade. I wanted a CD player. Instead
I got a clock radio and I learned a very
valuable lesson that day. No, I did not even throw

(38:33):
a fit.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
I didn't throw it. I just had like a little
oh like I kind of wanted a CD player. My
mother let me have it.

Speaker 6 (38:40):
Oh, never react to a like that. All of that,
You never react to a gift like that. Always showed thanks,
Always show this. You didn't have it before somebody gave
it to you all of that right, And sure enough
I listened to that radio from that that day for
the next five, six, seven years, and she ended up
getting me one with the CD player.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
But like growing up listening.

Speaker 6 (39:02):
To the radio every day, it's you can't say, it's
not why I'm here. I listened Buddy Della Berno down there.
I was everything on the radio.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
That's amazing. And I remember a CD player, my first
one too. But as a kid, uh.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
G I Joe. Remember the g I Joe? So I
wanted the g I Joe.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
Headquarters, which was like the little building it was like
that they would do stuff in. And then I got
a g I Joe, a black g I Joe with
lifelike care that you could feel right, not painted on,
and kung fu grip now he had on this.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
So it was this g I Joe and his G
I Joe.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Headquarters and I played with it like forever, me and
my friends, you know, and they had their g I
Joe's and all that and whatnot. And then just later on,
as a high schooler, we played ping pong in my neighborhood.
Everybody had a ping pong table in their basement except
for us, and.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
That's what I wanted.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
And that Christmas, it might have been sixteen or something,
we got a ping pong table.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
That was the other one.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
So those are the two that I always remember, always
thankful for on Christmas.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
And but who did you play ping pong against?

Speaker 5 (40:13):
No?

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Everybody? Like we went from house to house. It was like,
you know, one day we played. You couldn't really get
much practice and you were the only child, right, No, no, no,
I got two sisters. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, all good,
all right, it is the odd couple.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
Our number three is coming up. Did they used to
beat you? Your sister's beat you a ping pong? They
didn't beat me at all. They didn't beat me at all.
