Speaker 4 (01:03):
Twenty eight minutes from now, Wife's Advice with Martin Weiss,
who the last time we talked to him said there
was no way Washington was beating the Lions.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Do we remember that he did say that? He did
say that, yeah, yes, can we get to tape? Yes?
He was wrong. Couldn't have been more wrong about this?
Speaker 5 (01:21):
Actually, have the sound of you one hear it?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yes, I have no knowledge of anything that's right there
you go.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Thanks, Martin Weise. We'll talk with him and a little
shop talk, Rob G. We got anything cooking on shop talk?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Yeah, we do.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
We are something percolating, Rob Parker calculating something that's very
near and near to your heart, to my heartifically.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, I think I know where he will land on that.
Speaker 7 (01:43):
I think you can actually could treat you might convince
me again.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
You know you can't pay me into a bo a corner,
put me into a box. I'm all over the place,
all over right, I'm not over, Rob G.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Am I predictable? Yes you are? Am.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
I Well, I don't want to spoil the secrets of
you because you're not quite Here's the thing, when you
first meet Rob and you don't know all.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
This stuff, it's very unpredictable because you're like man big tall,
you know, hoo king black man loves him some white
overaged women's you know sitcoms. Rob Parker making millions of
dollars a year, but he ain't gonna pay the extra
ten cents and to.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Get the large drink.
Speaker 7 (02:25):
But people don't understand, like, Rob G, how serious you
are with that.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
It's it's just like he literally is like.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
And then rob G always says, and then we'll get
on the plane on to go to the Super Bowl,
and then we'll have him on these sneakers and that backpack,
you know, like and.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
So if you don't know him, it's it's totally surprising.
But once you do know him, it's very consistent.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
It's the same thing all the time.
Speaker 7 (02:50):
I mean, even the eating habits, Like he's never surprised
me with some great king was salad and everything.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
That's not happening to pronounce it.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Today, We're gonna spend like a week with me eating like.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
With like like, Okay, I'm not four hundred pounds, right,
rob Gs?
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Did you not?
Speaker 4 (03:08):
I just said. I showed rob G a picture of
my refrigerator. You saw this borderline, sad borderline it was.
I didn't know it was. You just moved in. No,
I don't waste food. I don't want to waste food. Salad, uh, spinach,
vegetables and a misteak.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Or don't know that I've seen vegetable since after work?
Are you vegetables? Definitely salads not vegetables. No, no, because
you take on all the green you just eat the iceberg.
No no, no, no, ice.
Speaker 7 (03:36):
You don't have ugular Kale and you don't have U.
I'm gonna get the super Greens. Not it's I didn't
ask you about a woman. Wait till list interested in
I'm not interested in that. Wait to just wait until
we get back from the super Bowl. I believe watch.
I do believe that watch. I believe Alex knows Rob
(03:59):
gs it. I will lose forty pounds. I believe you.
I believe you. I mean I've seen it obviously. I
see you every prior to this, every summer, I always
see you.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
Well before we get to let me, let me help
you with something. Yeah, this is something that you could
take a queue from Rob Parker because Rob is very
open and honest about Look, I spend a lot of
money on this.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
I skip on this.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
So when we all go to the super Bowl and
we're all sitting in our seats, when Rob Parker sits
in coaches, like, oh, well, look at Rob.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
He's being frugal per usual. It is saving electure dollars.
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
You television man, I see you every morning one nine
hundred thousand channels, and you sitting in coach.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
They'd be like, oh, man, dubb is struggling.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
He's struggling, like, right, are you kidding me? Like they
must be paying over there, spectrum, let me tell you.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
And that's the real thing. I ain't gonna lie. I
pulled up on somebody. If I said her name, everybody
here would know her.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
We had it.
Speaker 7 (04:51):
God did a little hit with TV hit and we
walked out to the cars and she was like, oh,
I got a car, sweet, sweet, and you know my
car is ordinary Africa student car. And so she kind
of robbed. G she's looking at me in my eyes
all time, but she didn't little quick look down like
I don't need you to come on up now. Let
me need you to her eyes read her eyes, rob
(05:11):
So let me go ahead and get something.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
You just got to embrace it, like no man like
saving money. Yeah, that's what it is. I gotta be more.
You gotta be public about that. I don't like you
know what I mean, still driving my K car. So
that's fine. First of all, if you a lot of
people like that, I almost start telling them what you're
really in right now. No, no, no, I'm just yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:28):
You know what crazy is when you realize certain things
just aren't like the Nesta's the need. I'll get there
to get in another car. I'm just lazy with it.
I literally have time, you know, my life. I don't
have time to test drive and do all that. So
but yeah, it was a moment.
Speaker 8 (05:42):
Rob.
Speaker 7 (05:43):
She's looked at me like, look down real quick, like
you all right. That's like you said, it's living out
here in La. You know, it's a real thing, living
out here in La.
Speaker 9 (05:51):
Rob.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
You know that.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I let me say, I just I need a good car,
and that's the only reason why I bought it.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Get my cars.
Speaker 7 (06:00):
You have a good first of all, you deserve it.
You ain't got kids, you ain't worried about colleges.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
That's big.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
Yeah, Rob, got the nicest car, got the most problems
with it.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Well you take care of it. But no, he I
keep getting hit, you know what I mean. But nothing
wrong with tea.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
I will say, keep getting some of these expensive cars, yo,
they be having some issues for real, And then the
issues aren't like three hundred dollars issues.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
No, nothing's three hundred dollars. Gosh.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
I remember we took the one car to just get
its little type a maintenance thing.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Whatever. I could have bought another car rob Gi.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
Literally, that's how they do it. All right, I'm sorry,
we were supposed to talk about this. We'll get to
that in just a second, real quick. They've announced the
NBA All Star starters.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Did you check a look at that? Do you have
any issues with those? Anything? Wes?
Speaker 7 (06:50):
You got yo, Kic, Anthony Davis, women, Yama women, y'all
are starting.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
As a rookie? Is is? Uh? Oh? He's not? What
am I looking at that? Looking at? Also? I started?
Speaker 6 (07:01):
The starters are in order, Eastern Conference, Jalen Bruns and
Donovan Mitchell, Karl, Anthony Towns, Jannis and Jason Tatum. In
the Western I mean that that's kind of Nikola Jokic,
Kevin Durant, Lebron, James Shaikich, Alexander And this is the
I guess, the only shocker of the whole thing of
the ten Steph Curry.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
That's not a shocker to me. Yes it is.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
It's not, but you know how it is when it's
it's Kobe is gonna get started even though he's a
last leg and Lebron Lebron until he retire is gonna
be started. Kevin Like, it's the same guys you just
named Rob ge Lebron and Kevin Durrant. This is the
legacy guess Vegas. You know it's Yoda Vegas. You go
see all the people that retire there.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Sure you know why people don't want to watch it.
You don't want to. You ain't trying to see the AARP.
I'm done.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
I'm done with that can. The NBA has gotta eventually gotta.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Move past it. But they do that all eras like
it's a long star. You know these don't how one
Shaka fact the starting center? Not yet?
Speaker 7 (08:02):
No, No, he retired before Shack like three years before
Shaky Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Like eighty eight eighty Yeah, I can't it all melts together.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, all right, let's do this NFLO quickly.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
Can I make the case as to why maybe he
shouldn't have made it, even though we agree he's gonna
make it cause you Steph Curry, lowest scoring points per
game in a decade for Steph, I believe, worst shooting
percentage in.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Five years for believing. That's what I'm saying. And here's
the big one.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
This is kind of the cherry on top. If your
numbers are gonna be down, I hope your team is good.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
That's yes, sucks.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
If you watched Steve Carr on the sidelines, he's do it.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
He could be I like, what is he thinking about now? Hello,
darkness mile for and that's what he's thinking about.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
No.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
This That's the benefit of being a legacy act ten
twelve years of being dominant four titles, is that people
see your name, they still see you shooting shots. In
their head, they think Steph Curry shooting three and running
backwards before it goes in. So that that's the benefit
you have, Katie Lebron Steph. It'll be Jason Tatum in
five or six years where we're like, I don't know
why he's still there because he used to see him
(09:09):
in the East.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
And that's how it goes.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
Concern for me when we talk about the championship games
happenings this weekend is for Jalen Hurts because number one,
he's Jalen Hurting, and I know he said he's gonna play,
but that left need got twisted all up. He's been
banged up throughout the season and so there's concern. There
also some concern too for me when you look at
(09:35):
kind of they played a couple of times throughout this
season they were some high scoring games. And my concern
has still been with Jalen Hurts is the passing ability
the team on paper. If I told you got Jalen Hurts,
Aj Brown, you got sa Kwana in the backfield you
can even receive too, and you got DeVante Smith, like,
I'll be like, oh, that offense, they must be passing
the ball, but they're averaging. He's averaging one hundred and
(09:57):
thirty something yards a game passing the postseason. I worry
going up against the Jaden Daniels in his high octane
offense of the Commanders that if they get to a
place where they're down ten nothing, get to a place
where you know they're gonna have to start throwing that
ball some that Jalen Hurts isn't ready for that. Is
he healthy enough for that? He got sacked a whole
bunch against the Rams. Thing was six or seven times.
(10:20):
So if Saquan is saquaning, which he's had a couple
of good games against the Commanders this year when they
played twice, he ran for like a buck four, averaging
round a buck forty buck fifty against the two. He
had four touchdowns in the two games. So if Saquan
is Saquan. Obviously that changes the game. But my concern
would be that if if he's not anything less than
the offensive Player of the Year caliber, that if it
(10:42):
comes down to Jalen Hurts having to kind of control
the game and take over some that they could be
in trouble, especially him being banged up a little bit.
Speaker 9 (10:49):
Right.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
You said that last week, and I still don't understand
you said that last week, like, oh, well, he's not
doing They've won thirteen out of their last fourteen games.
He hasn't changed. He's been the same quarterback. He doesn't
throw that much. That it's a running team. Sa Kwon
Barkley has changed the dynamics.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Incredible. That changed the dynamics. But it didn't hurt them
last week.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Well, I mean they still want them to what they
score twenty six or eight points, twenty six points. This
is who they are. They're a running team. There will
be a couple of situations. They're not going to stretch
the field now going in if you're the Rams and
mcveigh's his genius and whatnot, and he can't throw the football, how.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
In the world did they get to a two huge runs? Well,
that's what he's done again. Then he ran, but it's
five yards against them.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
They can't throw the ball downfield, but yet they ran
over the rams. That makes no sense to me. It
tells you that how good those guys are. They're great upfront,
they were both sides of the ball.
Speaker 7 (11:45):
What I'm saying now, my only thing is especially when
they find it out obviously you saw how you know,
twisted up his knee is my concern would be that
if it gets to especially with the high octane offense
that the Commanders have. They were fourth in the league
in points per game.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yeah, but looking the Lions game, and I'm not trying
to pooh pooh them poo poo the Commanders.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah, but the but they got Jared Golf kept trying
to have more turnovers than Sarah Lee. I'm just saying
that sets you up. That also gave them. They doing
it all years without a doubt. But in the Tampa
Bay game, the only the reason that they won that game,
it was one turnover. It was a huge nap fumble
the snap and Tampa Bay was about to go in
(12:27):
you know what I mean, to score and win that game,
and and that worked out for him. But I'm just
saying Philly is not going to change what they've been doing.
When you have an offensive line like that, which is
first class and making holes. It's not by accident why
Sakwan Barkley's had this unbelievable year first year in Philly.
(12:48):
And we've seen Jalen Hurts also bust through for some runs.
Speaker 7 (12:51):
No, my big concern, without a doubt, SA is gonna
run for two hundred yards, then good luck. But in
the playoffs and especially championship game into a super Bowl,
it gets tighter.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
You have to start. Your quarterback has to make plays.
Speaker 7 (13:05):
Your quarterback has to be kind of prepared to do
a couple of drives where it's crucial that they score,
get them in field goal position.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
But I hasn't come into play in the last thirteen
out of fourteen, they keep winning.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
I'm talking right you.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
No, what I'm saying is getting into the postseason because
that's where they are. They're in this championship game. Now,
they're in their case. They would love to get to
the super Bowl. This is just simply my concern. It's
not that they can't move the ball, and it's not
as if they don't have an offense.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
My concern has been how bad.
Speaker 7 (13:33):
I mean, you got aj Brown reading books on the sideline,
but this you was.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
So little and you got again. You guys about winning,
the stats don't.
Speaker 7 (13:43):
So I'm saying if I'm saying the concern for me
trying to win again, I'm not saying they can't. Well,
have you obviously had that conversation tomorrow. I'm saying, is
reading the reports looking at he said I'm good, but
seeing how Nick duppy bit couldn't get away from the
sacks against the Rams. I'm just saying I would be
there is some hesitation for me when I look at
the Eagles and having to pass if they get in
(14:04):
a situation where they have to pass.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
They have struggled for that all year.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
And it also doesn't it doesn't make sense to me
because you and I have talked about it when that
year they go to the super Bowl and including that
super Bowl, like Jalen Hurts was slagging that thing, and
it's like, what change? What happened? And is this part
of the issue with Nick Sirianni that he and him
they had over the summer.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Where when running with that offensive line in sae Quon,
No One will kill a little bit.
Speaker 7 (14:28):
No, no, no, for sure, but I'm talking about more or
less evaluating this particular gang. I'm saying, man, if I'm
the commanders, if we can get up, you know, get
up sate its ten to nothing, first quarter, first half, whatever,
and we have to where they have to become dependent
on Jalen Hurts more. If I'm the commanders, I feel like, man,
we're in a good place. Whereas if the Commanders run
(14:49):
the ball, or if they can pass. If you look
at if it's Pacheco or it's Patrick Mahomes, you know
they do, Josh Allen, they can run, they can pass.
I'm saying the Eagles right now, that would be my
concern or from the commander, that will be my goal.
To your point, not that we're gonna slow down Saquon completely.
Saquon Barkley probably gonna be offensive play of the year,
but if we can put it where it has to
be in Jalen Hurts his hands, he has to make
some passes to make some plays.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
You're in a good place.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Well, Jalen Hurts limitations as a pass to keep the
Eagles out of the Super Bowl. We'll continue that conversation
next with You eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
It is the Odd Couple on a TV theme song. Thursday,

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Almost here we go, Alex, I got a question. Tell me, Rob,
is this anime or no Voltron?
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Great question?
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Okay, seriously because it ahead of ahead of the time.
I love Voltron. I'm not I'm not kidding like that
was my show.
Speaker 11 (16:06):
Great question. For the longest time, I never knew. What
was the difference between animation and anime?
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Helped me.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
It's simple, you ready, Yes, if it was produced in
Japan anime, If it was made here or somewhere else,
it's animation.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
So Vultron is that from Japan?
Speaker 5 (16:21):
Check right now?
Speaker 7 (16:21):
Ye, check and see where that's from. That's what did
you watch? Volta volta Voltron? He man for sword Transformers.
All yeah, I was out of that peak my era
of like I said, Saturday Mornings, Cartoon Voltron all that,
Yet I was some gangs and stuff back then.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Man, we are coming out west this You ready for this?
Speaker 11 (16:41):
Countries of origin United States and Japan. But Japan was
the origin of the first one. So it is an anime.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
So vote vultra origin anime. Look at that learned SOMETHDW.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Eight seven seven not that I on Fox that we
got Let's.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Go Scott in North Carolina. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Scott?
Speaker 12 (17:29):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (17:30):
My guys?
Speaker 12 (17:30):
How y'all doing doing it?
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Bro today?
Speaker 12 (17:32):
How you I'm doing? Good man, I'm a lawyer listener
to the show. But Kevin Washington, Man, you gotta stop it.
You're doing the same thing klayt Rodd was doing with
the Lions. We kept the week, Thank you daylor hurt,
but it never will. This is the third with the
second time in three years at the Philadelphia Eagles had
(17:52):
a home NFCY Championship game. Dyala Hurts gets the job done.
He's battle tested. If he wasn't battle test, I kind
of agreed to with to, but he's battles and earlier
in the season the Pittsburgh Scillas game where both receivers
have over one hundred yards and we have a number
one defense too, So it's not gonna be as easy
as what he did against Detroit. We have a number
(18:14):
one defense. That's when we have a great receiver. Course,
so it's gonna be this.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
Scott, let me ask you this though, So first of all,
I can't gonna throw him the ball three times.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Scott, let me ask you this.
Speaker 7 (18:24):
So I'm not this is more of a concern less
than like ah like this has it like they can't
win Sakwon Barkley has been insane throughout the postseason, out
the regular season period. My more, my main concern is
like when I look at how Derrick Henry is running
and putting up a great season, could arguably be you
know at MVP Canned as well. I'm seeing also Lamar
(18:44):
put up his best passing year.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
You look at what James Cook, Uh, look at what
he's been able to do.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
Cook doing over there in Buffalo, Josh Allen have one
of his best years ever. When I look at Pacheco
and obviously still have Patrick Mahomes doing he does, I'm
only saying like it's so the extreme, meaning this is
only average one hundred and thirty three yard in postseason games,
and why can't it be a multitude of the two?
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Is my concern.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
That Saquan is doing great obviously duh, but then Jalen
is so low when I'm seeing other teams have the
ability to do both.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
That's all I was saying. All right, I thought he
was still there.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
I was not that Never one's got the response, no, no, no,
that was that was yeah. But that's my point though,
is that you see, you know, you obviously being on
Lamar Lamar had his best statistical season ever as a passer.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yet there Henry Dagmar got two thousand yards. Yeah, but
the only thing is Saquan is so I mean, what
do you have? Two hundred yards? Yeah? Yeah, I mean
and against and against the Rams.
Speaker 7 (19:37):
He's had almost five hundred yards a couple of games
against the Rams, which is crazy, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
And but but it tells you how good their offense
will lone and he is not grown in because only
because if you're saying, he's only passing for one hundred
and thirty yards, yet you can't stop them.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
I mean you need to be a little hot because
when Jared gov has some games like that, he was
on his head.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
No, no, he had about ten buck twelve.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Yeah, but Dave, what but I told you this, thirteen
out of fourteen has done it for me.
Speaker 9 (20:04):
Good.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
That's fair point. All right.
Speaker 7 (20:06):
We got Martin Weiss, got wife's advice coming up in
just a little bit.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
We have to do. We have to sound when Martin
was wrong.
Speaker 10 (20:11):
I'm just mart Be sure to catch live editions of
The Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays
at seven pm. Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports
Radio and the iHeartRadio app. We all need a little advice. Look,
so why not take it from a true professional. Here's advice,
(20:36):
that's right.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It is Weiss advice.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
Fox Sports Radio Weekend host Fox Sports Radio off that
anchor FS one producer Martin Weiss gives you the information
you need to make money betting NFL games against me. Rob,
Stop looking at the mic like that because you want
to point out he was wrong one wrong one time.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Okay he was so he made you know, pointed fingers
at me like I was like off my rocker and
I could say that the Commanders were gonna win the game.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
Rob Marc confident in his pics right now. He texted
Scott Shapiro, our boss.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
What did he say?
Speaker 6 (21:11):
You know, I get paid quarterly. He's like, hey, hold
last quarter's check. Okay, put that towards somebody else's bed,
and I'm gonna match it.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Did he put that? Legedly? That's what he said. So
he did this on top of the last six for
colleges forever on a boat. I seen it. I seen
out here doing that straight cash on me last week.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
He was so like that that there was no way
the Commanders could beat the Lions. And that's the only
reason why my panties are in the.
Speaker 9 (21:37):
Bunch talking about I was on the Commanders.
Speaker 13 (21:42):
No, but you said that they couldn't win. No, Martin,
you said they could not win. I'm not the points bread.
You said they could not win. That's what you said.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
No, no, no.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
But no, but that's not what you said. That's not
what you said. That's not what you said.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
You said.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
No, you did not You said that they couldn't win
the game. That's all I'm saying. Look, man, you.
Speaker 9 (22:09):
Want to do you want to refresh check against the
spread works?
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Oh no, go ahead, don't taking shot that a guy
who's picking forty one winners right now, I'm picking fifty.
That all right, guys, So again we got championship picking.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
So great he's doing weekend. You should be living in Vecas.
How's that.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
Championship weekend in the NFL? All eyes on two games
We're gonna start off in the NFC. Martin Weiss, degenerate
gambler that he is, has already laid money on Sunday,
on Tuesday, today, on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
That's how strong he is on this.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
Pay, said he's taking the Washington Commanders Rob Parker plus
six against the spread against Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Marty, you can play yourself.
Speaker 9 (22:56):
I mean, obviously we saw these two teams play already,
but that they that I'm really pointing to the last
game that these two teams played. I know that Philly's
quarterback got knocked out due to a concussion. I don't
expect that to happen, but we know he's got the knee.
He's gonna be nicked up. I think he's gonna be limited.
And let's be honest, he had to throw him for
over one hundred and sixty yards in a playoff win
(23:17):
in his career, so he's best winning. He's kind of
at best limited. If we're really being obvious about Jalen Hurst,
Jaydon Daniels is a complete opposite. He's not limited. But
in that game in what week twelve, they turned the
ball over five times and still felled the time to win,
tomal way to win the ball and failed the fourth
down conversion. The way that Washington's been playing the last
(23:39):
three weeks, last four weeks, they're not turning the ball
over me much less five times. They're turning the ball
over once They're gonna keep this one close. I'm not
going so far off Barkers that they have no chance
of winning. I don't remember saying that last we either,
but I'll think Commanders plus Dix here yeah, andonderellatives Danzas, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (23:58):
I'm actually with you and we just had a conversation.
I think the Eagles are absolutely going to have a
good game, and I don't think it's going to be
a blowout by any stretch. But I just think the
way the Commanders are moving the ball right now, Jade
and Daniels, this virtual reality got him believing and seeing
it seeing it feel great. I'm taking the points right there,
(24:18):
but I think they might win out right too.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Actually, Jared Loss isn't playing for Philadelphia, so that's why
I believe that the Eagles will not only win, but
cover offensive line just monsters. Their running game has been tremendous.
He doesn't have to throw for a million yards. That's
not what this team is built on. They've won thirteen
of their last fourteen. I'm all in on the Eagles,
(24:40):
Eagles or whatever they say in Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Just one stat that's gonna back up Martin's pick.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
Jaden Daniels has more playoff victories this postseason two than
he has negative plays.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Across two games.
Speaker 7 (24:51):
Yeah, it's en ridiculous what he's been able to But
because he's a black quarterback, that's why, you know, we
get it. We got it right.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
Number two in the AFC the rematch, Josh Allen Patrick
Mahomes surprise, surprise, Martin Wise says, give me the chieftains
minus one and a half.
Speaker 9 (25:12):
Tell us why, Martin, I'm thinking that I'm taking the
home team, and honestly, Buffalo might have a more complete offense.
I think at this point, Kansas City has a more
complete team. Kidden City's defense is gonna win the day here.
Josh Allen will still be all have his highlight plays,
but if you look at his last few games total yards,
(25:32):
I think last week was only go with them two
hundred and twenty total yards rushing and passing to mine.
I expect the Baltimore, I mean sorry, Buffalo's run game
to be stifled in a way that Baltimore wasn't able
to do. Kansas City goes ahead and wins this game.
Daniel Jones, Rob Parker advances to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
A man, you know I definitely think this will be
a good win. And it's crazy because Josh Allen does
so well against the Chiefs during the regular season and
he always has his way with something about the postseason
and you mentioned something there, Martin.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
The defense has been great. They've been leaning on that
all season.
Speaker 7 (26:06):
But now you got some of the offensive guys coming
back the last couple of weeks getting that offense better.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
We've been talking about we look.
Speaker 7 (26:12):
Good against Texans offense. Uh yeah, Travis Kelsey looked amazing.
Six to three at half or whatever. Travis Kelsey looked amazing.
Travis Kelce And speaking of that's what I was about
to say. If Travis Kelsey is eighty percent of normal
playoff him, that ends up being just too much.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
I go with the Chiefs. This is real simple.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
This is gonna come down to finally, the Kansas City
Chiefs luck will run out, that rabbits foot will fall
out of Andy Weed's pocket and they'll.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Lose on a miss field goal and Buffalo will reverse
the current. Ain't gonna miss the field goals.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Going to be Kansas City missing a field goal and
Buffalo will win and then losing the Super Bowl to
the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
All right, that's where I'm at. All right, we got
one more.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
He texted to me as you were talking, Robb, he said, look,
I know the odd couple listeners have been, you know,
to put it mildly, taking a bath on Shekel City.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
I'm gonna help you make some money. No, he did
not say that. While you can't past appearance on the
odd Couple.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
Martin White says, while you can get it, okay, if
we're got real sharp better in the words of Lamar Mitchell,
you take whatever money that you're gonna make off these
against the spread picks, you put it all together in
the pot. You throw it down on the Chiefs. Plus
two twenty right now to win the Super Bowl? Outright,
(27:37):
Martin tellus the line of thinking on this one.
Speaker 9 (27:39):
You can't do it the way you said it, because
plus two twenty to win the Sea.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
No, I know, just need to take the compliment. She's going.
Speaker 9 (27:47):
But if you don't look breaking down, I think the
ANFC is winning the Super Bowl. You have a rookie
it's gonna be a rookie cornerback and a middling defense.
When it comes to the commanders who have kind of
gotten a little bit of ballouts in their way through
the NFC playoffs. I take it. I'm not taking anything
away from them, but you know, Dave Dagiels was playing incredible.
(28:11):
It's been a lot of the ballouts in the right way. Eagles,
all right, let's say they advanced. Jalen Hurts is injured already,
and I don't expect it to get better, you know,
saying that knee and the style of players they have,
he's going to be impacted. I think throughout the remainder,
every football game he plays the rest of this year,
that needs gonna be a problem. I expect whoever comes
(28:31):
out in the AFC to be favored in the Super Bowl.
I expect Kansas City to win this game. Get to
twenty now, because you will not be able to get that.
By this time next week, it's going to be minus
one seventy five, and you'll be able. That value will
be all going.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
I'm not throwing a couple dollars on that. How surprised
that the Lions loss?
Speaker 9 (28:54):
I was. I was very surprised, that's all.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
I'm just asking. I'm just I thought that.
Speaker 9 (29:03):
The fifteen and two one team lost to the wildcard team. Yeah,
I was surprised. Soone was the Vegas They were ten
point favorites. I know.
Speaker 12 (29:14):
Play no doubt.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
And the thing that I had the issue with is
that Vegas did give him nine and a half points
and with the defense that we already knew was was
the defense that had given up thirty two and a
half in four straight games average before that Minnesota game.
I was shocked that they were even that that they gave.
Speaker 7 (29:35):
Him that man, Jared Goff was gonna be Jared coffing
it up like that, Jared loss and ended up.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Because much golf. For the last thing we gotta go.
How much confidence do you have in Jared Goff to
win a Super Bowl?
Speaker 9 (29:45):
There, I'll know you went better. I think over the
next three or four years, Aaron Glenn proved to be
eight much better coach than Ben Johnson. In this time period,
the New York Jets have a much better shot of
returning themselves with respectability than the Chicago Bears do. Aaron Glenn,
I think is a tru leader or Mets scouting back
(30:08):
wund player we played in the NFL, got trained with
a star the scouting background. He scouted all through the league.
Coach under Parcels, coach under Peyton and now coach under
Dan Campbell. I'd rather have him leading my franchise of
Ben Johnson any day of the week.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
What about Dan Campbell without those guys that's gonna.
Speaker 9 (30:27):
Hey, this is the biggest offseason in Detroit Lions.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Okay, all right, there we go through.
Speaker 7 (30:31):
Hey, Martin, I gave you some of my wings next
this time next year. I told Rod we made a bet.
I said, the Lions make the postseason. He said they don't.
It's easy wings. I'll share some with you, Okay for sure?
All right, Martin Weiss brother, thank you so much. Weisfe's advice.
We do it every week here on the couple. Aren't times?
How many times do I need to be right when
it comes to the NFL? Do you know I've been
(30:52):
covering the league. I just want, like, what's what's less
than opinion that I will take?
Speaker 3 (30:59):
If I got that every time you said that, I'll
be still a millionaires. And the best part about is
how wrong you always are. I just don't call you
out about it. High day. Let me know what this is?
It right? All the time? I'll start right, I'm down.
Speaker 7 (31:11):
I didn't want to be that guy in the NFL's
nineteen eighty six.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
You don't, wow, that is brand new.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
Why Steven Seger even somewhere rolling his eyes right now
listening to you say that.
Speaker 8 (31:22):
Why you guys shop talk on the way Fox, because
I've been the sports writer for a long time. No,
we're mad tell us this. No, you tell us that
every forty five minutes at least.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
One hour once.
Speaker 7 (31:35):
No, thank you Alex forty And by the way, Alex
is telling you how many times the show you tell
us that, not six, not seven.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
I've been covering the NFL since nineteen eighty seven, Manti, did.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
You know that?
Speaker 7 (31:49):
No, we already haven't prepared on your team Stone like
it's already going to say. Here lies Robert Leeper Junior
covered the NFL's is nineteen eighty seven.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
It's already on the plaque. We got you set up.
My guys already got me in the graveyard alright now.
I didn't say anytime soon, but we already pre ordered it. Wow,
we just know what it's gonna say.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Yep, here lies a man Rob Parker, who we don't
know if you knew this covered the NFL since nineteen
eighty seven, believe it or not, covered the NBA since
nineteen eighty six. Did we ever tell you that he
has a gymnazy I'm named after him?
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Trying to think of anything, I was like, I think, oh,
that's it. You gotta have the bones, you gotta have
the structure, and we'll play that. Ye, we'll play it.
Like why is kind of coming in? Loop and loop?
Here lies with Google? Got guys, I am.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
All I'm doing is trying to give my knowledge and
experience and you guys are trying to burrow.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
We love it, We love it. That's what we already.
Speaker 7 (32:45):
No, no, no, you know, like you said, everybody, you're
a fork chop away. Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Wow.
Speaker 10 (32:50):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and The
Eye Art Radio.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
While what Ranger? Were you right? Okay? Well I was
phil obligate? Was that a black one was black one
in the beginning? Or they added him? Right?
Speaker 11 (33:18):
Are you trying to tell me he was? I'm checking
right now. Season Jones played a Zach.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Black One.
Speaker 7 (33:28):
Come on now, I wasn't sure to have one that
what they didn't have was the black one didn't have
a good hairline.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
That's gotta be racing.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
They did my brother wrong. They have no real bark.
You're looking at it right now. That's the thing though
when they went Hollywood, even President it's better now, but
they don't consider a brother, like get you a real haircut,
Like they give you a lady who can do hair,
but she can't cut up, specifically a black man's hair.
So I've had to make it a point when I've
done some things like hey, you're gonna have a.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Barber, like yeah, well yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
a barber for a black man.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
But I never considered that and ask what's wrong with
this first season?
Speaker 6 (34:03):
There was a black guy who was the Blue Ranger,
so the Black Ranger didn't come out.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
But they're the Blue Ranger was a black guy, okay, yeah,
and then the Ranger was an Asian girl.
Speaker 7 (34:15):
Really yeah, man, that was definitely nineties where they could
get away that because now it would be enough for well,
I don't know about now now.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
And the Pink Ranger was a white girl but like
with brown hair, you.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Know you know what I mean? Like yeah, like it
wasn't a blonde.
Speaker 7 (34:28):
Okay, yeah, power that was that was you get out
of it. But they try to make movies, right that
didn't They did a couple.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
Years, they did a few, and they tried to think
a few spin offs.
Speaker 7 (34:37):
But you know, it's one of those franchises whoever owns
it will always make money because it'll resurface and new
kids will be like Yo Rangers. Yeah, it'll be a
big thing. You know what I mean if if the movies.
Look at Star Trek that was only on for three
years going on because all the year on NBC, and
(34:57):
look at what it turned into.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
Granchise. Yeah, Geen Geene Roddenberry who created Star Trek.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Watching these old black and white westerns, he used to
write those. I've seen his name story by Gene Roddenberry,
like on some Western.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
And now he's getting that big, big money because just
from I mean, I don't I don't know if he's
still with us or that. But by the way, with
company live Fortireck dot com Studios. Right after the show,
our podcast goes up, and if you today's show, be

poster right after we get off the air, did my

don't have time for shop shop talk. What you mean
in a minute? Wait, it didn't turn into shop talk.
We had, you know, so we had to talk about
asking was line up in Power Rangers?
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Yes, I still like Vultron better, but you know, it's
a cartoons come back.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
That's what I'm saying. They're always gonna have like they
came back. Nobody cared.
Speaker 11 (36:04):
Okay, okah, Rob, No, they really did release a movie
not that long ago, and it did very well by.
Speaker 7 (36:09):
Really, but that's what I'm saying, Like, my daughters are
gonna love the stuff that we like. Like, like a
great example is a Transformer, right that was an eighties thing,
but then it becomes a thing in the twenty you know,
twenty tens or whatever, because that's how they do it.
When you owe those franchises many exactly be racial.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
That wasn't good though, was it?
Speaker 5 (36:26):
The one that came back was okay?
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Was it?
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (36:28):
That's just the time I watch.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Yeah, it was before like the anime boom.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (36:32):
And that's what the beauty of owning these things is
that you can always come back.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
And Smurfs are back.
Speaker 7 (36:37):
My daughter's wearing seven years eighty six years old with
a Smurf shirt like that was in the eighties. Yeah, exactly,
and care Bears and all that good stuff. All right,
Patrick Mahomes is he in denial?
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Rob thinks so? It's Fox Sports Radio.
