Martin Weiss joins us. We also have a little shop
talk that's coming up in about forty five minutes.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
All that and much more. My voice is ut, yeah,
you start. I mean, I'm starting to feel a little
bit too. That's what happens. We're having a great time
out here, screaming all day, running around, talking, networking and
hanging out.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
It's been a good time for sure. Rob Gi so
been out here.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
A couple of little new football little news that have
just happened over a little bit left time.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Well, the honors thing is going on, that's.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
Going on right across the street, and the votes around.
We already know they're gonna cast their ballots for a
Rookie of the Year Rookie year was already anounced, but
MVP Offen, the Player of the Year, so on and
so forth. So I know you may not know this dub,
but Rob certainly does. He's a degenerate gambler. You can
still bet now which is who you think is gonna
win these awards? And in the last hour on poly Market,

(02:33):
Josh Allen's odds to win the NFL MVP have gone
up from fifty three percent to ninety four percent. And
that tracks because in the last week two point nine
million dollars has been wagered on Josh Allen to win
the MVP at poly Market. Guys history says, the quarterback

(02:54):
who gets first Team All Pro wins the MVP. Is
this tier trading or is this just some crazy noess?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
But it's eleven out, eleven in a row. It's eleven
in a row, eleven in.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
A row because the voters who vote for one award
vote for the up on, so so it doesn't even
make something as it is.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
It's somebody who might have found out a little something
something that kind of pass it on. Is it the
why is it? Like I got five hundred? What if
it's a long shot he wins, Right, I'll put my
five hundred on it. Long shot he wins. It makes
me x amount, you know?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
But I don't don't. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
If everybody knows a couple of things.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
A the voter already in Seriously, we we know, but
I know number two, the playoffs don't count. But some people, oh, well,
Lamar got knocked out. He went to the ALC Championship game.
He's gonna win the MVP.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
He's like, no, guys, a minute that week seven to
you know, eighteen, but seventeen game ended, that was it
was it right to vote to round?

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Right?

Speaker 4 (03:53):
I don't. I don't think there's an upset.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Yeah, I mean, the only thing would happen would be
if it's been eleven in a row, is there the
first year? It doesn't happen in the last eleven years,
you know, eleven twelve years worth the vote?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
What's closer in the Pro Bowl? I mean all Pro
rob g you know, like if that was close, it
wasn't close. And that's the issue. You got too many
people that would have to change their votes for it
to happen for Joshua Well, speaking of.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Close, we are about an hour away now, not just
from the MVP being announced, but also the twenty twenty
five Pro Football Hall of Fame class will be announced.
Whether Eli Manning gets in or out. We'll get into
that when we'd find out the news. But we know
it's going to be close one way or the other.
Peyton Manning said today during his media availability that Eli

(04:41):
already knows whether or not he's in this year. Do
you think that if he did know, or if he
does know that he got in, that Peyton would be
able to keep that secret, or if he's being joy
about it because he knows he didn't get in, he
doesn't want to get anybody else.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
I don't even think he would have brought it up.
He wouldn't have volunteered. He could have been a looking
for I could have done that either way. He had
a great career. But also they do.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Ask him not to, you know what I mean like that,
that's a part of it, Like surprise, they do the
whole thing.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
They knock on your door and they give you the
jacket everything.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
It's a big thing. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
So I think Peyton just, you know, maybe he didn't
mean to in the sense of like he did the
means you he didn't have to volunteer this information. But
I don't think I don't legitimately don't think he knows.
So I think, well, he's gonna find out what we
all find out here in about an hour, so that's.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
What I expect him to get in and then it's
gonna be fireworks whether he gets in or not.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Here on the eye couple, Yeah, it will an hour,
it will be.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
It's interesting because they we you know, when we've talked
about this in the past, they've interviewed a bunch of
of all pros. They had some there was like thirty
nine of them or something, and ten said yes, ten
said heck no, ten said undecided, and ten said I
need more time or something like that. So it's but
unfortunately dulj want to that's true. But it was a

(05:56):
good it was a good indication, and we were talking
about it. Rob every guess you've ever had even before
me like a Hall of Famer was like, heck no.
So it's interesting, like if but the but the thing is,
and I get that.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Next I would argue about this, I know.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
But but I get that.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
But the thing is, have no voice. But the end
of the show, it was crazy.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
And I'm just saying is that I think people get
caught up in that and they don't realize that for
him to make it, you don't mean like he had
to make it to each round to get there.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And if he wasn't.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Seriously, he could have easily been eliminated earlier.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
At the TWI.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yes, but do you see what I'm saying, Like, like
if you could, because you just gave some unflattering numbers,
if those numbers were to stand true, he wouldn't have
made it past the cut to even be available by
first ballot.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
That's what I'm trying to say to you.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
He has absolutely part and as much as you and
I have gone after going at it, I don't think
it's crazy to suggest in a sense that he has
two finals MVPs and he like so that is a
huge state, especially for that position of quarterback. But ultimately,
to me, if I had to pick, if I would
say no, but it's not crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I don't want to make it like a dude that
to walking around.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
With two super on MVPs as a quarterback that I
absolutely warrant, warrant that at least consideration. But to me,
the answer no. But we'll find out here in about
an hour or so.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
All right, NBA trade deadline, we already know, just a
flurry of trades all over the plow.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
It will started off slowly. They let smack smack smack.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
So the big one. Jimmy Butler going to the ward.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
This is after Steph Curry said don't do anything crazy
because you're trying to get from me and all this stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
And they did it anyway, and and Wiggins got dealt h.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
And people can say, and I know, it's been a
second rate Wiggins of late. Like last year, he missed
a lot of time, there was some personal stuff going on.
This year not as great. The team has struggled. They're
only at five hundred. They've looked awful on some nights.
They lost by forty points at home in Sanford Cisco.
So there's a lot of stuff not to like about

(08:02):
the Warriors. But does Jimmy Butler going there really move
the needle for you? For you think that they're now
back in the in the championship hunt. And I just
I know Jimmy Butler played special in the postseason. Yeah,
he got the Miami Heat to the finals a couple
of times. With this team, I just don't see it.

(08:23):
And they get older, right, Wiggins is a younger guy.
So here they are the next two years, right, Jimmy
Butler with his contract and stuff, and they're older.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
It's surprising it didn't move the needle for me.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
No, they lost some speed, and it then it's shrewder.
They lost some wiggins. You would say, it's maybe a
lesser version of a Jimmy Butler gonna play hard, play
some defense, get some buckets.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Were younger, Yeah, but younger, so they lost some. They
lost some youth there.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
And my other the other concern I have, and it's
I think we would say is a real concern. Jimmy
Butler is a different cat. He likes to do stuff
I don't know. You know, the team buses, he takes
his own ride. Sometimes team planes fly, he fly himself there,
he'll meet y'all there. He's just a different, unique cat
going to a team that has, you know, made their

(09:15):
name and claim their name.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I should say on.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
Like, we're a unity where this team, where this family.
And I just wonder how would that work, How wild
Jimmy fit in with that? When we know you give
him a little bit of time, he clashes. We've literally
seen it every stop of the way. So I wonder
how that works, and specifically, how would that work with
Draymond Green. When Draymond is quick to let somebody know,

(09:37):
this is how we do something. You you know, that's
how Bill mber always said when somebody knew what come, Hey,
this is how we do this is these are the expectations,
this is how we run this team. And well he
and Draymond work. That's an interesting one to watch too.
It starts off good, right, Hey, welcome to the team.
But I can see that rubbing Jimmy to him and

(09:57):
him and Draymond having some issues at some point. I
don't think this is they made. If they if you're
going to zero out of ten, this is a three
and a half move for me. You know, it wasn't nothing,
but I don't think it was a big deal. I
don't think it overly helped them.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
I'm gonna say it's a zero for me.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I'm just I don't think they just swapped out players
one is older one when they won.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
When they won, Wiggins was a big part of it.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Anybody Knowedge that he said, we don't win twenty two yes,
without Wiggins. And that's all I'm saying is that Wiggins
was a big part of it.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
And and let's not poop poo it or act like unpack,
especially on.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
The defensive end, yes, where he wasn't necessarily you know,
known as that coming in.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
He got really good.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
Over the years, he became a really good defender, made
some big shots for them.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Uh, it was a big part.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Steve Kerr was Actually he was just talking about how
sad he was to half him go. He's like he
just had a son. He's just you know, he's been
We don't win twenty two without him. He was so
great for us. He said, he's my one of my
favorite people I've ever coached. So losing that bringing in
a guy, by the way, who didn't want to be
at the Warriors, did we? Did we not mention that
Jimmy Butther did not know this. This trade could have

(11:03):
happened two weeks ago. He said, I don't want to
be there. I'm not gonna sign with y'all. Don't bring
your boy in, you know, a couple of weeks back. So, yes,
they finally got a deal in one hundred and twenty
twenty one million, a couple of years, you know. But
again with Jimmy, what does that mean if things go sideways,
if it gets tight, he has no familiarity, He has

(11:23):
no stakes in this in that sense of like a rapport.
Does he start Jimmy and I don't want to do that.
I told you I didn't want to be here anyway.
I knew I wouldn't go get along with Draymond's what
was he saying in Miami, I'm not happy and even
a happy place or whatever.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Yeah, he want to get his joy, Joe, That's what
it was, get his joy back.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
So Jimmy has been outstanding in the playoffs and maybe
they're banking on, Hey, if we could just get there.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
We're proven, we've been there before.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
We got Draymond, We've got obviously Kerr, we've got Steph.
Maybe in Jimmy's acclamen in the playoffs will help us.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
But it wasn't a big move for me.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
I understand the Steph Curry thing, but for a team
that's won four championships, I just like, I don't get it.
I really don't. And I'm not saying like you're supposed
to roll over there at five hundred. They're there. You
still got to think about the future, you can't. We
talk about all the time.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
The Celtics protected protected pick this year.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
The the uh we.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Saw that with the Celtics, they wouldn't trade Bird, they win,
trade McHale, they win Trade Parish and then they went
like twenty years when I won a championship.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
The ninety Celtics, wasn't it No? And I know they
had some terrible mishaps where people passed by Reddy Lewis
Budgie Lewis.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
So they had a couple of those, but they did
hold on to the other stars way too long.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
All right?

To the warriors, that's right.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Did it move the needle for you or not?

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Who we got? Tim in Atlanta, Chili, Tim, you're on
the octople. What's up, bro?

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 1 (14:23):
What's up? Buddy? Yo? What up?

Speaker 8 (14:25):
Guys?

Speaker 9 (14:25):
Y'all still the man Chili?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
We will come out here. We gotta do it right.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
So in Christ in the Last, I'm paring my last pants.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
No, we made that man walk up about a seventy
five stair flight of stairs.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Still escalated and word of the lady had to give
you words of it courage Chilli. Come on, gods, you
get baking me? Get right?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Oh God, all right.

Speaker 9 (14:52):
Gotch here's my day. I don't think one thing to
uh when you're talking about the Chelsea don't forget lambyas
they thought they had him for the.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Next two Yeah, we mentioned him.

Speaker 9 (15:04):
Here, but I think what I think, uh, you know,
Steph Curry told them, he said, hey, guys, don't worry
about me. We've won enough here. Let's hold on. Let's
go for the future, and I'll be willing to help,
you know, develop anybody that you bring in young players.
But from what I hear, Joel Lakeham was warning he

(15:25):
did not he was not happy where they were and
it was about him. Remember they had Bob Myers, and
he did Bob Myas go because he didn't want to
listen to Bob Myers. I don't think Bob Myers in
Nesissipio may not have made this move. I think maybe
he would have took steph uh what Steph Curry said
on face Valley and said, hey, let's build for the future.
We had a good run, you know, we got four championships.

(15:46):
So and I don't think Jimmy Butler is going to
move the Negga he didn't. I mean with Miami. Yeah,
you know, he might have done it, but the Chelseas
weren't the team they were now. They didn't have it
to get it, so it's a different story. I don't
think he's going to be in a mood to need to
take advantage of uh, you know, the thunder or the uh,

(16:09):
the Nuggets, maybe even the Maverage if they decided to
get together, but maybe the Grizzes. I don't think he's
gonna do that. So I think they cost themselves. And
I think eventually, uh, they're going to realize that. With
Joe lakeerm you know he wanted to do it.

Speaker 10 (16:24):
I make that move.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah, Chillick, thanks for the call.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Sure.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
I mean I've meant to add this a last second.
I forgot about it. That's a great point. I think
Joe Lakam said, you know how much luxury tax I'm
playing for this team year in year out. They're way
luxury is crazy, They're way over them. So I think
for him, y'all better win, make this thing. Winning is
the only thing that makes me happen.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
But but you don't want to throw bad money after
good money, and you already won for no, but you
keep throwing bad money. One day you wake up and
you have an old team, right, and no draft picks
and and no future and then and then you're in
trouble and you're a you're in the rabbits hole for
four or five years.

Speaker 5 (17:05):
Like, man, y'all better go out there and try. Don't
give it a nine. Well, it just wasn't our season.
You better go make it. You not much up here
for all, y'all. Scott A shot Scott in North Carolina.
You're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
What's up, Scott?

Speaker 8 (17:18):
Tell my guys ready for that equals winning this weekend?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yes we are.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I am, at least I've been saying it for weeks.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
I've been saying it for.

Speaker 9 (17:26):
Weeks, guy, and it's gonna be a good one.

Speaker 8 (17:30):
But I think, uh this Jimmy Butler, I think it
moves the needle.

Speaker 10 (17:33):
Honestly, there's no like real big dog.

Speaker 8 (17:36):
In the in the West. Okay, so he's still young.
Uh uh uh?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Have you have you watched the Warriors at all? Have
you watched the Warriors at all?

Speaker 8 (17:47):
Yeah? But I mean they do have tempts experience and
just says.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
They lost by forty at.

Speaker 10 (17:52):
Home, Jimmy Butler did way more.

Speaker 11 (17:55):
And Jimmy Butler problem was never with teammates.

Speaker 8 (17:58):
He never really had tmate issues.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
It's always been a front office him getting paid, so
he got paid.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
So don't go to the never he didn't get along
with the boy. Don't say that he did not get
along with them in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
That's right.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
I'm just I'm just saying, like Jimmy, he gets, he
gets into a little bit. And it was also to
see how those guys in Miami started a little tweets.
You saw Kevin Love started twet. I mean, I'm not
saying Jimmy's a bad guy. I'm just saying Jimmy can
rub teams and organizations the wrong way.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
And that literally has happened every stop of the way. Yeah,
I like to get rubbed the wrong way. Sometimes cost
me too much money. You said you ain't gonna make it, Well,
I ain't gonna make it. Said you're gonna make it,
ain't gonna make it. JEFJ and New Orleans rob you
a couple of fo what's up? F J? Splendid out

(18:51):
of you?

Speaker 4 (18:51):
How you going on?

Speaker 6 (18:54):
What?

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Are we ever gonna see you before?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
We leave town or are you gonna try to you know,
are you working too much?

Speaker 8 (19:03):
Yeah, I've been trying to figure that out. Now I'm
off the next couple of days. So when y'all do
this podcast, I mean, when are you all alive? Sure
y'all doing this in the convention center?

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Yeah, it's two parts.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
One half is the fan experience where everybody's coming, bringing
the kids, having a great time. The other half is
Radio Row with all the outlets. This is when that's
where we are, all right.

Speaker 8 (19:22):
I want to check that all out tomorrow on Radio Row.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
All right, pull up? But what you got for us?
All right?

Speaker 8 (19:27):
They moved the needle rob especially after KD turned them
down and going to the senior problem. It's time now.
Initially Jimmy Buckett said he didn't want to sign the
contact a contract expansion, but so it looked like Dunleey
pulled out that black card after desperation kicked in and
Jimmy Buckets couldn't get to the sound.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Yeah, but what does Okay, let's go to the actual GAMEPLAYFJ.
How does this make them better? They lost Wiggins, who
was young, great defender. Again, he wasn't necessarily putting up
the numbers you would hope for on the offensive en
but Jimmy Butler, he misses games. He's look, Jimmy, Jimmy
gets down, he said, but you know.

Speaker 8 (20:07):
Come on, let's let's let's keep it a buck. I
think he's gonna turn over a new league being that
had them didn't really get definitely better offensive player, better
defensive player. And I'm gonna say this because this is
what he said. Since Wiggans uh one of the best
friends something that it was girl or something, he never
played the same.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
So I don't know if that's allegedly that's what, that's
what the streets, we don't know.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
We don't know if that's the fact.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Thank you, m J appreciated Ron and Rochester.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
I'm assuming Minnesota. You're on the odd couple.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Fox the New York baby, Okay, no doubt, my man.
What's up? Ron?

Speaker 11 (20:50):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
So?

Speaker 10 (20:50):
I mean, you know, I saw the way that I mean,
I'm not a Celtics fan, I'm a New Yorker, but
I saw the way the Celtics destroyed Cleveland. You know,
they can they get too many weapons, DIY get too
much they I mean, they're no stopping them. I mean,
Butler will help. I mean, the game flows down into
halfcore game and it really puts a lot of pressure
on every single shot and he makes them. So I mean, yeah,

(21:10):
they go from the ten seed to the seven seed.
Big deal. They're improve a little bit and they might win.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
A game or two.

Speaker 10 (21:16):
But Celtics there's no stopping them.

Speaker 8 (21:18):
They're too good.

Speaker 10 (21:19):
And you shaw that against Cleveland the other day. I
took back that Cleveland, tell me me and forget about it.
The Cleveland the Celtics and they.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Get smacked up. But there's still a lot of season left.
We'll see, but the Celtics are the champs for a reason.
Appreciate the call, Thank you so much. All right, on
the way, we got Martin Weiss with wife's advice. He'll
get your right in just a moment. But right now,
it's what's trending. Monci blanos, moncey Chello.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yeah, I'm dandy.

Speaker 12 (21:43):
I'm not as good as you, guys. Joy, I'm dandy.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Thursday. So what you got? No?

Speaker 12 (21:48):
No, I actually got an Ikes sandwich and been to ikes.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
What is it with being sprouts in No?

Speaker 12 (21:54):
No, no, But I do have a a veggie turkey sandwich.
That's not real.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Turkey, Veggie some turkeys right now.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
No, no, no, no, guys. So we thought that.

Speaker 12 (22:07):
Luka Doncic was going to make his Lakers debut on Saturday.
They even moved the Lakers game to ESPN.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Well, JJ Reddick a ESPN.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Now they don't happen playing.

Speaker 12 (22:18):
Yeah, JJ Reddick is saying that it's probably more like
Monday that he's going to make his debut. It's not
for sure that it's not Saturday. He didn't say that,
but he did say probably more likely Monday. Anthony Davis
did not make his debut today for Dallas, and right
now they're not really missing him because Klay Thompson has
twenty three points in The Mavericks are beating the Celtics

(22:39):
in Boston, sixty seven to fifty six. At halftime. Late
in the first quarter, it's a tie game between the
Rockets and the Timberwolves. They're tied at twenty six.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I love the way you say wolves.

Speaker 12 (22:50):
You know I don't hear it. Yes, yes, Jason Smith
tells me this all the time.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
I don't hear it, so I know I said.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Timberwolves, timberwool, timberwood Wolves.

Speaker 12 (23:04):
I literally I like don't hear I can say it
over right over, I don't hear it.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
But you're not the first one. You're not the first one. Right.

Speaker 12 (23:10):
Good news for OKAC fans because it looks like Chut
Holmgren is off the team's injury report, making it for
him to return Friday against the Toronto Raptors in OKAC.
One game in men's college hoops number eighteen, Maryland beating
Ohio State forty seven to forty with about thirteen minutes
to go, and you can catch all the action on
FS one. We're gonna check in in the NHL because

(23:31):
the Capitals are now losing to the Flyers three to two.
But Alex Ovechkin did score goal number eight hundred and
seventy nine, so he's sixteen goals away from passing Wayne
Gretzky for most all time. And the NFL Awards are
in about thirty minutes. We do know that former Lions
offensive coronator Ben Johnson has been named the AP twenty
twenty four Assistant Coach of the Year.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Back to you, guys, and there you have it, Monzie,
thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Here's advice.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
That's what it is.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
Whife's advice here on the odd couple of Fox Sports
traders there where we invite Fox Sports Radio Weekend host,
Fox Sports Radioup.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
They ain't her fs.

Speaker 6 (25:01):
One producer all around mensch, very nice.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
What's up? What's up with you.

Speaker 11 (25:12):
All enjoying my hometown?

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Man?

Speaker 13 (25:14):
I was about to say, we're down here yo, yo, man,
we're hot, sticky, it ain't hot. Eating a lot of food,
that's how I know you from l A a little
bit of humidity and you don't want to ask mess
up your perfect little haircut over.

Speaker 11 (25:26):
Here, get out of blade. Yeah, handle it, not at all, man.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
We've been having a great time man, eating really good
and obviously last couple of nights here, so we'll see
if we can get into something happen.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
All of that except for the big rat that we saw.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
You know what I mean, Well we saw it. You
ran before you could even see it. The lady goes
watch out for the rat, y'all. And Rob Parker has
never ran that fast in his life ever.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
He literally you read about him seven two forty. It's pretty.

Speaker 11 (25:59):
Parker, want to say the riots. He just wouldn't turn
the lights on in this hotel.

Speaker 8 (26:03):
Rover and that.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Martin, I'm gonna have to sleep with the lights on it.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
He's gonna give you the advice you need to make
money betting on this Sunday Super Bowl action Martin's so
confident in these picks. The money that he's been saving
for that wedding fiance, he's taking that put into a
fund allegedly for all the betters that are following in Okay,
and he's gonna use that money to make your bet

(26:33):
for you.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Allegedly.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
That's what That's what the street said, Martin, you don't
even gota bet your own money.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Mar's gonna bet his own money. He's got five picks.
We're going through it one by one.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Started with a prop number one Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver
DeVonta Smith anytime touchdown plus two fifty more.

Speaker 11 (26:52):
And tell us why I like this matchup against big fanziod.
I'm sorry. Against defences, Davonte Smith has played three games
over one hundred yards all three games, six catches in
at least all three games. The Innygals, I mean the
Chiefs played defense very similar to the Patriots. Chaos too.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
They're gonna lock them, take.

Speaker 11 (27:13):
Quin, They're gonna try their best of Lockam. Takewat Barkley,
leave Trent McDuffie on an island with Devontae Smith, then
double up on a Jay Brown. There's gonna be one
on one on Devontae Smith, and I think Galen Hurts
gives him chances at those race. I think bus two
fifties of good value.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Actually, I'm not mad at that because it's one of
those things no one was a football coach guy. Yeah, look,
I don't mind it. In uh, if somebody's gonna beat you.
You know, we've been saying it all week that anybody
but say Kawan so Davonte getting a touchdown, that's not
far fetched. I can see that you play. You told
me a hundred one hundred yards these games, six catches.
That's pretty good. So I'll roll with that.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, I don't think that that's a big pie in
the sky.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Prop bet, especially if the guys and somebody got to
score and then.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
There's gonna some touchdowns. Obviously in the air, everything's not
going to be run now.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
Well, speaking to wide receivers the other end of the
spectrum with the Chiefs, Juju Smith Schuster, Mar's taking his
receiving yards over fourteen and a half at minus win ten.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Martin tells, why.

Speaker 11 (28:17):
You remember last week he only had turtle.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
Two weeks ago now because thanks.

Speaker 11 (28:21):
Got Pro Bowl, but two weeks ago he only has
had two catches but for sixty yards one thirty one
yard reception. Juju is running fifty six percent of the
routes he ran in the AFC Championship game. DeAndre Hopkins.
I think a lot of people are targeting as somebody
that they can go to. But it feels like to me,
the more the playoffs have gone on, and obviously the

(28:42):
Chiefs run in a very close game in the wild Card,
but the more the playoffs have gone on, the less
DeAndre Hopkins has been.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
On the field.

Speaker 11 (28:49):
I think in the Super Bowl it's gonna come down
to who did you trust the most. Patrick Mahomes trust
Juju Smith Shoes threw for at least three pass attempts.
He catches two of them, fourteen and a half yards receiving.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
I think Juju gets shut out no catches. Wow, And
I'm gonna go with the under on that.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
That's just a gut feeling.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
Yeah, Juju, I'll go and get about thirty yards. You're
gonna get two catches because he's kind of a safety valve.
Just having that little bit of report from the last
time he was with him, and that's really what he is.
He's becoming a possessional receiver, who can you can make
some yards after the catch a little bit, that's not crazy.
I give him about twenty five thirty yards.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Some of those passes that go to Juju gonna be picked.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
So gez allright, make sure we don't forget that, because
what he likes to do is if my god, some
random you always say you're right.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
You always say like I have the worst case scenario,
and it happened one time with you.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
I've never wanted to slap Jack up so bad? Could
he lost the game because of the how he lost
the game. So now I got to hear it that
he'd been balled off season, and.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
I say, you look at three interceptions and bold.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
All right, Wie's advice information you need betting on this
Sunday Super Bowl slate with Martin Wise, prop bet number
three Eagles to get the longest touchdown score of the
game out of the two teams minus one A team.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Aren't explain yourself.

Speaker 11 (30:12):
I mean, really, it's to fade against the Chiefs offense.
Who is scoring more than twenty yards out on the Chiefs?
Let me ask nobody was It's a random somehow Trent
mcguffie and Taylor hurts or would be Patrick games right right,
I'm not No, I'll talk rot Eagles to score in

(30:36):
the longest touchdown.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
No, no, No, I agree, I agree, No, I agree.
I think it's a layup on this. I'm just saying
that there was somebody like some sort of play that
broken and flew.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Patrick runs for thirty five yards.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
You know what I mean in a passing situation that
that's what I meant by that.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
That's what I meant.

Speaker 11 (30:55):
But what more? But what's more realistic?

Speaker 1 (30:57):
No?

Speaker 11 (31:00):
No, I agree the longest touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
I'm with you all the way. I don't know how
anybody would bet anything.

Speaker 8 (31:07):
Else just.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
I'm just I'm gonna it's gonna be worthy.

Speaker 5 (31:12):
He's gonna catch some bubble screen that pops right forty yards.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Give me the Chiefs with this one or near.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Somehow catches a ten yard or does this little turnaround
a little space spin that has worked for twelve years,
and somehow they're gonna miss the attacker.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
He's gonna gain thirty eight yards. That'll be the biggest
play the game. Watch. I'm going Chiefs on that. We
got two more quickly here.

Speaker 6 (31:35):
One of them is a prop bet kind of Martin says,
if you're gonna bet this game, take the Eagles first half.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Take the Chiefs full game plus six hundred. Martin tell us,
why if.

Speaker 11 (31:49):
You paid attention to the Super Bowls, which I'm sure
you guys were, you'll notice.

Speaker 14 (31:54):
The Kansas City last year, down ten.

Speaker 11 (31:56):
To three and a half, gets the Eagles for the
fourteen at the half. Kansas City is going to take.
They're gonna kick field goals, They're gonna punt. They are
not afraid to give the ball away on fourth down.
On the other side, Philadelphia is allergic to doing anything
of the sort, push, push, rugley shop, whatever you call it.

(32:18):
They want to go for it, they want to maintain
the ball. In the first half. The Eagles will have
the league. The Chiefs will end up coming back to
win it by how much revg by.

Speaker 10 (32:27):
How much minus one and a half exactly.

Speaker 11 (32:31):
That's my final bet is the Kansas City Chiefs just
one and a half. Patrick Mahomes aka Daniel Jones and
Ron Parker's mind All League Barney Trophy for the third
year in a row, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey kissing
the Man on Midfield, and Metal America just celebrates profusely.

Speaker 8 (32:51):
Kansas City wins again.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
I'm gonna go one further, Martin, he proposes, He gets
on one knee and he says, me and me at
the halter, just like you did. Travis. Kelsey post is
a Taylor swift and an a scream. We're gonna get
married at Disneyland. You know they always add the Super
Bowl chance. Yeah, I got the Chiefs winning. And as
far as you mentioned, yeah they don't. They start slowly.
You just ain't the Chiefs of you know, three four
years ago scoring a bunch of points, so then being

(33:13):
down doesn't necessarily worry them.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
They're used to it.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
In fact, they made that one playoff run Super Bowl
run where they were down ten every game, so that's
not far Fitch, give me the Chiefs pit winning it.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Yeah, I'm going with the Eagles. I love the offensive
and defensive line. I love what they've done all year.
When you can control the tempo, control the clock with
a running game, they got a dynamic runner who can
break people runs. And this is the year finally where
the Chiefs implode, turnover plenalties and they lose by ten points.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Again.

Speaker 14 (33:49):
That I got real quick is Mexico expecting another citizen
from the Mexico deport Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
I might be deported to Mexico exactly.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
We'll see, all right, appreciate you Mark Man, Martin Weiss
with the wife's advice. Thank you all. See how it
works out on Sunday. All right, we got shop talk

Speaker 1 (35:20):
All right. Ain't nobody's not being a bum shop you
know that.

Speaker 5 (35:24):
Ain't nobody you talking about whoever, whatever whatever you want?

Speaker 1 (35:28):
You in the bus shop?

Speaker 5 (35:29):
Wait, you know it's shop talking, all right, let's get
to it. So this one is on venting, right. Everybody
goes through something that happens. Maybe somebody ehs riding on
your bumper driving to work, maybe somebody cuts you off,
whatever it.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
Is, they disrespect you, or maybe somebody.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
Disrespected your radio show and it got you fired up.
But that's what happened today to our buddy Rob Parker.
Today he had a moment where something made him mad.
And I'll tell you what, for the next half hour
to an hour, anybody and everybody had to get it.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Everybody.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Let's start Rob g with the fact that he left
a four and a half minute voicemail for the person
that ticks you off.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Rob, what's up with that? I gotta let you know
I'm not gonna be one of these guys that four
and a half. It's a lot of half a second.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
And Rob g was right there.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
He heard the thing. I was hot, and then you
were hot at the security guard, and.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Then you were hot to get out on everybody. Mad
at the ham Sandwich. You ate so fast, mad at
the security. We're trying now to be fair.

Speaker 4 (36:27):
You you exactly like that. You you're cool.

Speaker 5 (36:33):
Out here, Alex. We were trying to get out and
it is a little complicated.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
It's like a maze, and every security guard is like this,
life go this way. So I let loose on nose.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Finally snapped on them too.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
We could have just went right here our hotel right there,
right across the street, hotels, the cops. Security dude say, hey,
what's you up for me? I just I just work here.
So yeah, Rob was upset and anybody. We had a
nice little meeting with sponsors today, having a little lunch,
having a little drinking.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
And then hey, Robert, yet, let me tell you something,
how they gonna keep this.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
Show off the list. I mean, he was going crazy
on him. I thought it was like Samuel Jackson with
snakes on the plane. So uh, the question is what's
the decent amount?

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Fellas? Just when do you? How do you? How do
you find your way to side of it? Is this
what you do every time? Right? Yes?

Speaker 2 (37:18):
And I'm telling you my time is not up. I'm
still mault. It's been hours now, So when I feel
what happens if.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
He calls you back? Did I let him have it? Okay?
All right?

Speaker 2 (37:30):
But I'm just saying like I never just give up
that quickly on it if it's something that I really
feel like is undeserving and it should have been disrespectful.
So I'm still hot. I'm I've calmed down because we
had a radio show to do, but I'm not over it.
And you know that even at the party, I was
eating into.

Speaker 5 (37:51):
And yelling at everybody eating ain't service and finding a
way to bring it in every conversation.

Speaker 6 (37:56):
Rob, I want to get Manzi's female perspectives. Manzi, how
long is like too long to vent the people? Because
Rob it was basically brought it to the party twenty
five straight minutes.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah people, Oh okay, you're a zin man. Yeah that's out.
So what you need, my boys, how long it is
too long?

Speaker 6 (38:18):
Or how many people have too many people to vent
you let something upset you.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
Oh that's a good question.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I would say.

Speaker 7 (38:25):
If you have the initial reaction rob to it and
it pisses you off, I can understand that. But if
it like trickles into your next day or et cetera,
I think it's going a little too far if you
think about it.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
No, I bring it to the party. No, with your
boss and your sponsor and all your coat workers.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
It was so fresh. Don't give me the wounds were
so fresh out.

Speaker 7 (38:44):
No, Rob, I get you, Like, I think the best
type of radio is personable, where you live your life
on air, which you do great, Rob. I just think
when you bring the sponsorships and parties, people like, we
don't want that to hear which have fun.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
They're like, oh it's so great to meet you. Yeah,
you know who didn't want to We had, Yeah, we
had to like completely woo saw Robin.

Speaker 6 (39:03):
How many different conversations did he had because he was
like each pod telling somebody manti female perspective, how many
people is too many people.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
To vent to or something business you off like at
once back to back to back. This is not like
in two two, So.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
I was I was telling anybody who had ears to
the two.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
Him that other people would come up to me and almost, hey, man,
I'm sorry you guys did one on the list.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
I'm like, why do you man?

Speaker 5 (39:32):
I heard Rob talking about it, so yeah, but you
know what, hey, I tell you what, you're passionate you
I believe in what we do.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
He's sticking up for us, and uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:43):
So I'm actually to Rob's point earlier, I am interested
to hear this conversation you may have if you actually
do get a call back.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
I do want to hear this.

Speaker 6 (39:50):
I want to get him on the show. Would you
said person wouldn't do all the numbers that we get
on that for that little interview, would dwarf any their
show that's listened.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm gonna just absolutely
sit in the other side of the glass. If it's
Monday when we're back in LA and I'm gonna just watch,
i'm'na just watch.

Speaker 6 (40:10):
You know what else bothered me was that Jstu Rich
Covid all of our friends they're gassing out, like, yeah,
you should be you know, you should keep going off
right now.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Matter of fact, what you should do is this, Well,
will we be

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Going on in a moment if we find out if
