but athletes in general. You know, we talked, this is
something that me and you talk about a lot, and
Rob g will have you set this up for us.
But you know, I have always had issues with, you know,
a athletes trying to be reporters and whatnot. And I

don't think that you know that they do a good
job at that analyzing the game. They're the best at it.
They're out there, they know everything, but sometimes trying to
be a jack of all trade act as if they're
reporters doesn't always go well. But also their athletes who
are very I don't know, I guess the term I

would say is arrogant. Can I use the word dumb
or uneducated or misguided? When they think that you actually
have to play in the NBA in order to talk
about the NBA, like I just the whole concept of that,

or like you have to Kelvin be in a movie
right and be a star of a movie in order
to write a critique about whether you like the movie
or not, like like that's the they're athletes who think
that you actually have to have played in order to
have any say on basketball, you have to play at
that level. Despite the idea that I could name a

ton of coaches and players, Yeah, coach who have never
played in the NBA, but are some of the greatest
coaches and whatnot, and all that kind of stuff is
just mind boggling. But Rob G set it up. KD
was going after some people at FS one.

I'm gon keep sitting up the stories, I about to
get a tip left at the table at one of
these points, just saying that's just POPG.

Okay, okay, So guys, you know, just to pull the
curtain back of America, we were gonna do this topic
yesterday in a much shorter form. That's because, as you
guys alluded to, Asia Wilson, the best player the WNBA,
the reigning MVP, went on a podcast. We're not gonna
play this sound here, but what she did say to
this person, I don't know if he's a reporter or what,

but she said reporters should be able to play the
sports that they're reporting on, and then maybe we can
dow it down not necessarily to play the sport, but
play a sport so they can understand what they're talking about.

So that's what she said. You guys obviously disagree with that.

You mentioned it right now. How are you gonna tell
a film critic that they can't talk about movies because
they never made.

A movie for us exactly right? Or Bill Belichick can
coach because you never played exactly well.

Today, things jumped off the deep end because as great
as Ada Wilson is, as she's phenomenal. Kevin Durant, who
is not just one of the biggest stars in basketball,
one of the biggest stars in all of sports.

He's NBA dead now but ahead.

Took umbradge with something that Emmanuelacchio said on FS one
when he suggested an irant that the Boston Celtics match
up better with the Knicks without Jason Tatum because Jalen
Brown then becomes the focal point and Jalen Brown is
just a tougher player, not a better player, but a
tougher player than Jason Tatum. KD responded, quote, hot take

artists have ruined the sport football guys, no disrespect, but
y'all boys need to stay in your lanes. You don't
know what it's like between these lines. Man, give it
a break. Do to quit football early, to pursue media
talking mental toughness, cut it out your thoughts, gentlemen.

Oh wait a minute, I'm not supposed to go to
a show with all football players looking for MBA in sight?
Is that right?

So this is a couple of things that I find
interesting about specifically, not even just Asia Wilson, but specifically
Kevin Durant being involved in this conversation. Number one, that
wasn't even the craziest take of all the things that
Auto has ever said or anyone ever has ever said
on TV. His point being that Jalen Brown a little tougher,

was attacking more, was playing up, was a little more
enthusiastic with the team.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
You're not better without, right, and he said he's the
better player. He's a better player.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
But I mean, of all the things, was like, okay
to go off and then to throw a little personal job,
as if to say out sho, you know, quit and
now you're trying to do that. That also made it
interesting because it wasn't just a take like, hey man,
you don't know ball, and that will be one thing.
He also made it personal. But is this is my thing?
We just mentioned a couple of things here. The idea
that no one else can have a take on anything
is absolutely crazy because one thing I know, Kevin Durant

does weekly his go on FanDuel TV and talk about
a million other things other than NBA, including football.

He talks football all the time.

And so as if, oh, now he can't take talk
football because he isn't playing football.

He was a football fan, right. He loves watching tam exactly.

He loves Commanders, He talks about football all the time.
He tweets about football all the time. So now he
can't talk about that. So nobody can talk about movies, music,
or TV because we haven't made a movie, haven't made an.

Album or it didn't make a TV show.

And nobody presidency either, right because they weren't president, So
you can't cover it exactly.

Hey, By the way, if you write for Bloomberg or
you write for the Wall Street Journal, any business, if
you haven't run a business, I guess you can't be
one of the folks who write in those esteemed esteemed
outlets as well. So the idea of it is crazy
that we just can't do that. You already know this
is what we do. Oh, by the way, Kevin Durant,
you do this to the tune that you had to

have a burner account because you jumped in any and
every conversation about sports, about music, about basketball, about football,
You yourself jumped into all these conversations. You yourself go
back and forth with the people that you had to
have a burner account. So I just find it hilarious
that he's just so flabberg acid that people have opinions
about certain things. And again maybe they didn't participate or

play or run a company. So I just find it
the pot calling the kettle black when this is what
he's done consistently, whether it be on camera, whether it
be through his own account, whether it be through burner accounts,
He's always had having these conversations, jumping in and throwing
his opinion. And lastly, Rob watched this. Rob Parker, you
know what he just did. If he thought that was

such an asonine hot take, which okay, that's fine, that's
his opinion. Him retweeting and jumping in the conversation only
at a fuel as much as Hey, Aucho, he's got
a bigger following than me, so I can't talk about him.

it and put fuel to it. So I just I

just laugh at the idea that at this point in
time he doesn't get people have opinions, people have shows,
just like when you walk in the barbershop and like

having a conversation. You can't rebut what I'm saying, so
all you do is attack me up personally. So people
always say, oh, Rob can't take it. You're blocking people. Yeah,

the whole notion that athletes, you know, and here's where
are athletes to me?

painting a broad brush. First athletes complained about guys because

Barkley and Shaq and Kenny or any criticism, they're old heads.
They're jealous because of the money, do you know what
I mean? They don't want to be criticized.

Kevin Durant conversation, a guy who I don't know, I
mean him to be as big as he is Lebron.

I'm blown away at how involved they are in social media.
Not that they don't peak. Look, we're all voyeuristic. We
all look, we peek, we check. I'm not mad at that.

do it? But how engaged they are with even things
that are negative or things they don't agree with, even
things they go out and sought Rob. It's not even
as if it came to Kevin Durant, if that was

Jason Tatum, who's going through it right now, torn his achilles,

He's sick, he's mad, he's upset. Okay, I think he

for Jason Tatum, he has got nothing to do with him
he ain't even in the postseason. And then again, this
is the guy who is for years jumped in any
and every conversation by way of real accounts, fank accounts,
picking account I just find that part interesting. And again
that he would then amplify a thought that he didn't

agree with with. Again, this wasn't the craziest, wildest thing
I've ever heard too. It wasn't like he said NBA
players are soft, they're all this, and they're all spoiled
and they don't know what to do with their money
or some words like all right, that was a little
over the top and personal, but like just his opinion
that they played harder with Jalen Brown.

again always interject your opinion about things to the twenty

thirteen years in the NFL, but I'm really a basketball guy.
I pride myself and have a knowledge of all sports,
especially my sport, but I really love basketball. You can't
question my basketball acumen at all. I played both in college.

And so this notion of we if you played another sport,
you can't talk about other sports, well, that's what the
media business is. Ninety five percent of the people talking
about sports never played professional sports, so no one has
a take but athletes, especially athletes who performed in that sport.
That's asinine. And I remember when I got into this

business over twenty five years ago, one of my executive
producers told me, don't ever stay to a host or
co host are a listener. You didn't play, so you
don't know, because what you do is you alienate ninety

nine point nine percent of the listeners because none of
them have played. So if you can't take what this
guy is saying, Acho saying, then you can disagree with it,
but you can't question because he played football or his
career wasn't long enough for him to have an opinion.
I think that was a bush league. Most of these

guys want to get into the media anyway, And so
if that's the case, then you're just only allowed to
talk about NBA sports. That's it. And which is which is?
Which is crazy because nobody has shows like that anymore.

was they didn't want to hear from the reporters. Then
they didn't want to hear from Shaq or Charles Barkley

want to be criticized.

that game last night than they did in the previous ones,

when you have someone in the caliber of Jason Statum,
then of course the ball and down the stretch. You know,
if I'm wrong. The knock on him was that he
didn't show up those moments towards the end of the

about the ball moving I think that we got and
unfortunate for Jason Tatum. I feel so bad for him,

But we slowed, we bagged down how we normally play,

and it was more so matchup hunting and allowing the
New York Knicks defense to have boxes and elbows and
just watching and then we try to get you know,
and it was just tough for for us to get
off shots and clean shots. And I thought last night
we got off clean shots. I thought Jalen Brown did
a fantastic job doing that. We knocked down our threes,

and so to me, the key is we got to
move to basketball. But then it all starts with defense.
And think about it, if you watch that game, I
don't know if you guys watched them from start to
finish like I did. Jalen Brown picked up Jalen Brunson
from the beginning of the game. And a lot of
times when you're locked in defensively like that is, the
offense comes a little bit smoother for you because you're

seeing the game in a different light because you're so focused,
your laser sharp focused on this is what my job is.
And so I believe that that was a byproduct last
night was a byproduct of that, you know, And we
twitched it up. Sometimes we had Peyton Princett on him,
we had Derek White on in and we double team
him and we gave him different looks, and I think

that's the most important thing that you have to do
with Jaeen Bunch. You've got to give him.

job at that analyzing the game. They're the best at it.
They're out there, they know everything, but sometimes trying to
be a jack of all trade act as if they're
reporters doesn't always go well. But also their athletes who

would say is arrogant. Can I use the word dumb
or uneducated or misguided? When they think that you actually
have to play in the NBA in order to talk
about the NBA, like I just the whole concept of that,

or like you have to Kelvin be in a movie
right and be a star of a movie in order
to write a critique about whether you like the movie
or not, like like that's the they're athletes who think
that you actually have to have played in order to
have any say on basketball, you have to play at
that level. Despite the idea that I could name a

played in the NBA, but are some of the greatest
coaches and whatnot, and all that kind of stuff is

a film critic that they can't talk about movies because

as Ada Wilson is, as she's phenomenal. Kevin Durant, who
is not just one of the biggest stars in basketball,
one of the biggest stars in all of sports.

Took umbradge with something that Emmanuelacchio said on FS one
when he suggested an irant that the Boston Celtics match
up better with the Knicks without Jason Tatum because Jalen

just a tougher player, not a better player, but a
tougher player than Jason Tatum. KD responded, quote, hot take

artists have ruined the sport football guys, no disrespect, but
y'all boys need to stay in your lanes. You don't
know what it's like between these lines. Man, give it
a break. Do to quit football early, to pursue media

on TV. His point being that Jalen Brown a little tougher,

was attacking more, was playing up, was a little more
enthusiastic with the team.

You're not better without, right, and he said he's the
better player. He's a better player.

But I mean, of all the things, was like, okay
to go off and then to throw a little personal job,
as if to say out sho, you know, quit and
now you're trying to do that. That also made it
interesting because it wasn't just a take like, hey man,
you don't know ball, and that will be one thing.
He also made it personal. But is this is my thing?
We just mentioned a couple of things here. The idea
that no one else can have a take on anything
is absolutely crazy because one thing I know, Kevin Durant

does weekly his go on FanDuel TV and talk about
a million other things other than NBA, including football.

And so as if, oh, now he can't take talk

you can't cover it exactly.

you haven't run a business, I guess you can't be
one of the folks who write in those esteemed esteemed
outlets as well. So the idea of it is crazy
that we just can't do that. You already know this
is what we do. Oh, by the way, Kevin Durant,
you do this to the tune that you had to

have a burner account because you jumped in any and
every conversation about sports, about music, about basketball, about football,
You yourself jumped into all these conversations. You yourself go
back and forth with the people that you had to
have a burner account. So I just find it hilarious
that he's just so flabberg acid that people have opinions
about certain things. And again maybe they didn't participate or

play or run a company. So I just find it
the pot calling the kettle black when this is what
he's done consistently, whether it be on camera, whether it
be through his own account, whether it be through burner accounts,
He's always had having these conversations, jumping in and throwing
his opinion. And lastly, Rob watched this. Rob Parker, you
know what he just did. If he thought that was

such an asonine hot take, which okay, that's fine, that's
his opinion. Him retweeting and jumping in the conversation only
at a fuel as much as Hey, Aucho, he's got
a bigger following than me, so I can't talk about him.

about the ball moving I think that we got and

and it was more so matchup hunting and allowing the
New York Knicks defense to have boxes and elbows and
just watching and then we try to get you know,
and it was just tough for for us to get
off shots and clean shots. And I thought last night
we got off clean shots. I thought Jalen Brown did

and so to me, the key is we got to
move to basketball. But then it all starts with defense.
And think about it, if you watch that game, I
don't know if you guys watched them from start to
finish like I did. Jalen Brown picked up Jalen Brunson
from the beginning of the game. And a lot of
times when you're locked in defensively like that is, the
offense comes a little bit smoother for you because you're

seeing the game in a different light because you're so focused,
your laser sharp focused on this is what my job is.
And so I believe that that was a byproduct last
night was a byproduct of that, you know, And we
twitched it up. Sometimes we had Peyton Princett on him,
we had Derek White on in and we double team
him and we gave him different looks, and I think

that's the most important thing that you have to do

a new sandwich in honor of the Pope. It's called
the Leo Beef Sausage with Veggie's and gravy dipped.

ever famous enough to have a sandwich named after you.

La cheese steak with filet mignon, extra cheese, onions, peppers,

For the cheese steak, We're going Swiss cheese. Though we're
going Swiss cheese. We're gonna get the caramelized onion and
bell peppers. We're gonna add crispy bacon, We're gonna add
some shredded lead lettuce and some tomatoes, and we're gonna
sprinkle in a little honey mustard, but a specific honey

mustard too. A little honey mustard in it, and it's
gonna be called the dub. Then that's not delicious. Don't
you want to sound pretty good?

Is it toast? I just stood up in my mouth
after hearing this? Is it toast? Is it hot? Is
it cold?
Speaker 4 (36:57):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (36:57):
It's come on, it's hot, man, steak, It's hot. Is
everything I told you is melted? We got the hot
bacon on it. We put all the veggies on at
the end, the lettuce and the tomato, but we grilled
into bell peppers and the onions. We got the pepper.
We got the pepper going a little salt, telling you
off the chain. You can't eat it all the time.
Though it's just heavy, it might be enough calories for
your whole day. And it comes with a side of

the kettle cooked Jalapano chips.

I'm gonna have the Rob Poker Special to twenty two

it is like I get like a turkey, BAS have
like some pepper jack cheese, a thin layer of ranch
that's mixed with a little bit of saracha flavor too,
and then what we would garners shirt with which this
is like the Krem de la krem. It would be
like these long pickled pickles, but they're tasting extra pickoli.

I don't know why, it just sounds amazing.

Maza is spin off of the paddy melting me on
sour no bread with some angus beef right there in
the middle. It's gonna have three different kinds of cheeses. Okay,
when you get American Swiss and a provolone. But here's
the thing on the side. You're gonna get another bowl
of melted cheese that you can dip it into to
get the like a fifth level of cheese to it.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
And it's gonna be called the clog.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
This man, this Ozipic. Get it.

So it's either gonna clag your arteries or it's gonna
clog your toilet one or the other.

But I guess least that sandwich in it more cheese.

Yes, I'm convinced now, robb Gi, I'm gonna help you
get ozimpic now because after hearing that, it's gonna be needed. Absolutely, Man,
