Speaker 1 (00:28):
Our number two on a Trash Talking Tuesday, Rob Parker,
Kelvin Washington, and Man A lot of stuff coming up.
Former offensive lineman Lomas Brown, who also played for Tampa Bay,
Detroit and the Giants. I think you want to Super

(00:49):
Bowl with Tampa Lumbers is the best. He's the radio
color atalyst for the Detroit Lions. Will join us in
about twenty eight minutes. A lot to get to. Don't
forget trash talking, your chance to trash anyone anything in
the world of sports.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
We'll tell you when to call in and line up
for that.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
But before that, we got some other stuff going on
as well, and we want you to chime in. And Kelvin, Yes,
I don't know about you what you need to know,
but these players, young players, what is this with wanting
to wear like star players numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Can you tie my mia?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
A story with the New York Football Giants. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
So there are a few jerseys in life that you
just can't have, and the person we're about to talk
about is one of them. So I have do Carter
now a giant looks like her, and he's a top pick,
big you know, number three, uh, number two? Uh yeah,
number three expected to be that guy. You know, everybody
all accounts he's gonna be one of those ones. And
another pay stay out, you know, outside linebacker, edge rusher,

(01:56):
who's gonna be uh be spectacular. Well, he said as
he inquires to Lawrence Taylor about getting that number fifty
six in New York the Giants arguably not the greatest defender,
maybe one of, if not the greatest football players.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Do you ever just said it? And period any position?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
I've been covering the league, So nineteen eighty six eighty
seven for football.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
I thought the NBA was eighty seven. Baseball is eighty
six and the other two eighty seven.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yes, all right, And I remember I actually covered Lawrence
Taylor he was on the Giants. I covered Lawrence Taylor
during that time. And I'll sit here and tell you like,
he arguably is the greatest football players.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And that's not crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
There's watch the highlights on YouTube. He made grown men
look reaching over the line, grabbing quarterbacks, pinky throwing them around,
throwing them around like a rag doll.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
That was incredible, remarkable, Bill Bill Belichick.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I don't know about picking out the future girlfriends, but
he said he is definitely said Lawrens Taylor is the
greatest football player.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
He got that right, He got that one right.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Yeah, I mean, and so I say that all to say, bruh,
you just got to the league. You haven't even the
ink hasn't dried on the signing on with the team yet,
and you're asking for the greatest player in Giant's history,
maybe the greatest football player, one of them all time.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Hey man, can we bring up your jersey now for
the rafters?

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Right, Sometimes you gotta smack yourself and go nah, terrible idea.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Oh I was ooh ooh nah.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
And sometimes even the thought I know that you think
it's flattering, but it's actually turns around and becomes insulting
to someone who means so much. If the new shooting
guard drafted by the Bulls said, hey, can y'all bring
down number twenty three from Chicago. Hey, Mike, do you
mind I'm feeling a little twenty three ish? We all

(03:49):
would be like, man, what so there's just absolutely certain
things you can't do. And I'm always blown away by
like did he say it out loud? Did he say
it to his roommate? Is your girlfriend?

Speaker 6 (04:00):
His dad?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Is anybody?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Because there's nobody who could have thought, well, that was
a great idea.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
You know what just should do today? Son?

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Go ask the Giants, can their best player in history
give up his jersey number? So, yeah, I'm blown away
by that. And again, if it's supposed to be a
sign of respect, I get it and appreciate.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
But no, you just certain things you gotta leave alone.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
It's not that it's self absorbed like they'd like, like
you go in you have no idea? Seriously and I
get it there, young whatever, can you do a little homework?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Can you do a little research?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
The idea that you're talking about a number worn by
one of the greatest players ever makes no sense to
me that you would even go in and imply that.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Now, on the flip side, Warren Moon's number.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Which was retired by the Titans, right, the number one,
he allow you, right, kim Ward to wear his number,
and Kim Ward's gonna wear it.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I guess Right's gonna take it.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
But he's the one who said, yes, you can do it,
and he actually had the jersey for um, you know
what I mean. I'm presented it to him in the
in the press presser. But I think this is totally
out of bounds.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
And I and I.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Even think even with cam Ward, you should make your
own identity.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
A numbers retired, leave it retired.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It was retired for him, meant for him for a reason.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
That means he was great. That's what fans remember.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
That's the only reason your numbers retired, not because they
were tired of giving it out to people, you know
what I mean? Like, can I wear Baby Roots number three?

Speaker 7 (05:43):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
You can't wear Babe Roots number three? No, you can't
wear Lawrence Taylor's number fifty six? No, Warren Moon, No,
have some some some self awareness there you go and
just and just you know what, that's nice. I want
to make my own identity. I want to be able

(06:05):
to have a number play great and people remember me
for wearing that number.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
You know what number?

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Nobody have to worry about which I should say Aaron
Judge when he gets his number ninety nine, like you know,
like there's a lot of No, he's wearing a number
that probably right, that nobody really wears, so you won't
have to have that issue. But there are a lot
of those numbers. Teams that have thirty two, thirty two,
twenty four. Willie May's wore twenty four. There's a lot

(06:34):
of those number one right where it's gonna be hard.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Even Lebron had twenty three, like Michael Jordan.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I thought that was a mistake, like like to wear
that number. I don't know what the number was, and
maybe he wore twenty three in high school or whatever
because he liked Michael Jordan or whatever, But you get
you get my point up right.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I do.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
And another thing that to add to this is you
don't want an instance too similar stand on the number,
like number fifteen in Denver. Now we're all like, well,
what are they going to do Carmelo And obviously Joki
just has a better career than Carmelo. But I'm just
saying if your thought, oh, one day we'll get to
we'll get to honoring Carmelo.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
One day.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Well, well, now it gets weird. Well Carmelo's going with
that fifteen and then but Carmelo's going into the Basketball
Hall of Fame, now, yeah, and so that would be
weird not to retire his numbers.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Exactly. We're dropped it there, yea, even though they didn't
win anything. And I get that.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
And and when they gave it to the joker, it
tells you that they weren't thinking of Carmelo like that,
doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I mean, for you, no, faciously for even the instance.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Because an equipment manager, they know which numbers to pull off,
you know what I mean, Like like even before they
retired Derek Jeter's number two, nobody's.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Getting them too. So that was a great example.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Imagine some new hot shot young shortstop gets drafted out
of high school. He's the new one, and he goes, yeah,
y'all got jeter number phone number? Why so I can
call him and ask him? Can I wear that number?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Two?

Speaker 8 (08:06):
Sir?

Speaker 3 (08:07):
You are not have a see young man. Let's talk.
Let me show you.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Let me show you what the locker room is. Let
me show you what the clubhouse is. Let me show
you where this is where we normally go to get
our ankles taped. Like we're gonna completely move on from
that question you just asked me, because there's no way
you just asked me. Can you to give you dere
GED's phone number so you can call them and ask
about the number two?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Right? And this is the thing sit there, like, what's
wrong with that? I think?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I think, I think it's totally out of bounds, and
I'm curious to find out.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Maybe we're maybe we're wrong, maybe we're.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Old school and you think it's in bounds. Is it
in bounds? If you are a great player, like we
just said it. Warren Moon is gracious and said kim Ward,
you can wear my number even though it's retired. And
here's the other thing. If kim Ward does great, are
they gonna re retire it and put up another number one?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
We're gonna be a one point five one?

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Be like like that's the point, Like I'm great, I'm
gonna want I want to have a great career where
my numbers were and it's already retired.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Yeah, it makes no sense. I think number fifty.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Six when I think of the giant uniform, there's only
one player, Lawrence Tailor.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
There might only be one player in all of NFL.
You think at number fifty six, right, seriously? Like I mean,
if I said fifty six, you go Lawrence Taylor. They're
not gonna say no. I'm talking about somebody else. But
that's your initial thought, and I'm not my last one.
For me, I'm not mad at Lawrence Taylor saying no, no,
because he's within bounds. And eoo, I put in too
much blood, sweat, tears. I put in too much time.

(09:29):
I won super Bowls, Like, oh, we're not doing that,
I put I He didn't just play.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
They were a great tai great team.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Memorable. I'm memorable. The jersey number is memorable. Also, he
might have some type of I don't know how it works,
but like the nil like as far as his deal,
like when the number fifty six giants jersey, I get
that a dollar of the sale. We don't need no
mix ups for you get the dollary. It's his fifty Okay,
Well you no no a player and he played in
the era where the money ain't like it is now.
I need every dollar. That's why you see older heads

(09:59):
like him sign up autographs pulling up to Vegas.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Do they make a lot of money? Y. Yeah, going
up to take pictures and sign helmets.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
So yeah, I just I have no problem with him
saying no equally as much as I have no problem
with Warren Moon being that gracious.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
But I think it's up to the you would you
be warn Moon or would you be.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Law especially key part if I'm Lawrence Taylor as good
as Warren Moon was and maybe great if he were
allowed to play earlier in his career in the NFL,
that's a hotel. Was great in this conversation for another day.
Warnmon was spectacular. Lawrence Taylor is iconic. I'm not giving
up that blue fifty six. They letting you have a
young man, go get a fifty seven, go get eleven.

(10:39):
I think that's what he Warre Penn state, you know,
do your thing, and but fifty six in blue and
the giants all the hell I've been through in life,
the ups and downs, that means something to me.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
And I graciously say no, thank you, young man. I'm
holding one of this.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
And here's the same thing too, Like the idea Warren
Moon is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, that's
the kind of that's that's the kind of cond he
was unbelievable in the Canadian football.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Don't look you want to count? He's insane.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
It was insane throwing up, throwing the four or five
thousand yards before the high schoolers in my neighborhood, Hamilton,
Hamilton High School.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
With my neighborhood here in La Warren Moon. But but
I'm just like, are you kidding? Like even to ask him,
I would be embarrassed to even ask. It was a
hall of famer. Why would you even And I don't
know what Kim Ward if he asked him or not.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
I guy, if he was being kind, Hey, I know
you already wore this number, young man. Don't want to
look out. You don't have to worry about it. Maybe,
So that's why I said, I'm not mad if Warren
Moon chose to do that. And I think it's fair
to say if you're a Lawrence Taylor or someone like that,
and if you're Barry Sanders number twenty.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
And you're like, no, we ain't wearing and Detroit now
like that's people.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Would probably not be happy if somebody tried to put
on the twenty.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Seriously, just like New York.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Hey, all right, young man, were looking forward to you
being here and helping us get another banner, But you're
not wearing to break down?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Fifty six Laura Taylor is the Giant, all right?

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven, nine, nine,
six sixty three, sixty nine.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Where are you? Hey? Rod Parker?

Speaker 5 (12:10):
You mind if I tell everybody I've been covered the
league since nineteen eighty seven, No, you.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Can't, cause you haven't been.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Would you be Lawrence Taylor and say hell, no, you
can't wear my number? Or would you be Warren Moon
and welcome it and say sure without no problem whatsoever?
What side of defense are you on? Kelvin and I
we don't agree on a lot, but we agree on this.
And it's no way know how we're giving up our

(12:38):
number to a new rookie player. I don't care how
good he is or what the situation is. You made
your name and fame with that number, and it should
be yours.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
All right, boys, we went for your own? Eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox.

(13:36):
Sports Radio videos that are on YouTube. Our conversation that
Rob and I are having, we're talking about is it
disrespectful for these young bucks to come in and ask
for these amazing jerseys like, for instance, I don't know
Lawrence Taylor's Warren Moons. What are your thoughts? Or is
it no big deal? Eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox taking your calls?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Who we got?

Speaker 1 (13:56):
All right, let's go DH in Nashville. You're on they
couple of Fox Sports Radio show.

Speaker 9 (14:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (14:05):
Now, Hey, I think it's a difference, man, I think
it's a difference in those situations, mainly because one, you know,
one Moon was retired as a Houston oiler. You know,
I think that's that's something totally different.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
What are you talking about? What do you mean it's
it's retired with the Titans. I know what you mean,
but it went to the other team. It's the same franchise, Yeah,
I mean, I.

Speaker 9 (14:26):
Mean, I mean, you know, yeah kind of, but I
feel like, but I feel like, you know, it's a
it's a difference in the Tennessee Titans twenty year old,
twenty five year old franchise or whatever, almost thirty and
the New York Giants.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
What what's the purpose of retiring numbers If you're gonna
let other people get them?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
That that's the whole purpose.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Get a letter, go get that jersey for breaking all right, Dh,
I hear you, Yeah, I mean I kind of hear
what he So he's trying to say. It almost feels
like two different franchises. So it's the same is still
a Celtics, I mean Seahawk Supersonic they get a Supercide.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Sports Jerry, Jerry and Seattle, you're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jerry?

Speaker 9 (15:12):
Hey, guys, how y'all doing well.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
How are you?

Speaker 11 (15:16):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Hey.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
I have to agree as Warren Moon being one of
my all time favorites, like I kind of.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Have to agree with d H.

Speaker 10 (15:24):
I mean, Warren never played.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
In Tennessee, his numbers retarded. But I get you know,
I hear you.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
But listen though, the Lawrence Taylor things a whole other world.
I mean, I just think it's like you said, it's
the lack of awareness, right, Lawrence Taylor meant to the
zeitgeist of football, you know what I mean. It's like
it's like Jordan, right. But I would just say to
this young man, and you know, to use like a
theater Parlt's like, go.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Out, break a leg and see what you can do
for yourself. You know you don't need LT's.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Number, right, Yeah, how about make a tackle or sack first?
And then I mean that's listen again.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
I just think there's niks sary people on earth if
this were a middling linebacker who we all knew was solid,
was good, but not all right? This is LT, right,
This is like asking derk G for number two, MJ
for twenty three, Like, seriously, can doing the Patriots saying
can I get the number twelve.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
How about Blake in Illinois? You're in the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
What's up, Blake?

Speaker 9 (16:20):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 12 (16:21):
Let's how you doing tonight?

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Doing me? Where are you man on this?

Speaker 11 (16:25):
I'm out in Purea, Illinois, a little bit outside of Chicago.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
No, okay, we're saying what about the topic? Where are
you at on the topic?

Speaker 13 (16:32):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (16:32):
I'm so sorry about that? So I would say if
I was Lawrence Taylor respectfully, Heck no, I worked too
hard for it. And I mean, if you think about it,
the Giants have already unretired number one for neighbors. If
they unretire another Jersey, what are they saying about their organization?

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Are we just going to unretire every number and just give.

Speaker 11 (16:50):
It to the newest, best, hottest thing.

Speaker 12 (16:52):
I just don't think that that's the thing that they.

Speaker 14 (16:54):
Should be doing.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I agree, I just didn't don't retire any numbers? Right?
The Yankees should give out baby moops number three? Why not? Here?
No war? That that's ancient history.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Dustin and Tennessee, you're on the hot couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
What's up Dustin?

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Hey?

Speaker 9 (17:12):
How are y'all?

Speaker 15 (17:15):
Uh?

Speaker 14 (17:16):
Yeah, So the scoop is is that the.

Speaker 16 (17:18):
Titans is going to retire the Owlers jerseys again. So
Warren Moon was passing the torch as far as uh,
you know, the transition to the Titans and letting somebody
else use the one is what they say is I.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Just war Moon as a Hall of Fame quarterback, don't
you don't you want to make your own legacy though?

Speaker 5 (17:41):
No, But I think there's the rock. I mean, you know,
I got to be the younger. Go ahead, Dustin, he's gone.

Speaker 16 (17:47):
I mean I get I get something like the Giants.

Speaker 8 (17:49):
And uh and you know, the Yankees and Derek Jeter
and that kind of thing, but when we know moving
states and it's the same franchise.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
But all right, all right, yeah, my point was gonna
be rob.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
I think also, one thing you and I have to
in the back of our head, and this is why
I'm on the show, to keep reminding you since you
know we're becoming old heads branding, and sometimes we forget
these kids.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
It's branding. I'm this number, I've been this number, my
goes with the jersey.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Like I know, I'm with you, you heard me, But
I think these kids are like it's you know, it's
to your point of, Hey, let's go make a new
name for yourself, a new number, start up, you know,
make your name in the league. It's man, Brandy and
I've been number one. I'm always number one. Everybody knows
me is number one. So that's just what it is.
That's what they're looking for.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Justin and Bermuda. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up Justin?

Speaker 4 (18:39):
A couple of nats? What's good on you guys?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Yo yo, We appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Yeah, man, I joined Kelvin in the Fatherhood club. I
haven't told you guys in a couple of months.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Yeah, yeah, what you got?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, I got all the answers.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
Brother, just hit me up if you need them, any questions,
I got three of them, all right?

Speaker 3 (19:03):
What you got on.

Speaker 12 (19:08):
That? Old man is a big giantsman, and it would
be blasphemous for somebody else, and that's that's kind of crazy.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
But what I will say though, is like.

Speaker 12 (19:21):
Abdul Carter, Michael Parsons, and LaVar Arrington all had the
tradition of the eleven at Penn State. I think that's
kind of where he wanted to like continue the tradition
of the edge rushers.

Speaker 14 (19:32):
Wearing a certain number.

Speaker 12 (19:33):
So I think that's probably what he saw.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Okay, let me take the best edge rusher.

Speaker 8 (19:38):
From my team.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
And obviously it wasn't retired at Penn State.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
That's why he can't give Michigan does that with the
number one receiver. So you had a bunch of guys
like that became the thing if once your senior year,
you're that guy, you can get the number one.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
I get it, but I'm saying and the other thing
with lawn Tella, like that it was retired at a ceremony,
like like you have to understand why it was retired.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
I just don't, Like, I wouldn't even ask. I don't
care if I wore fifty six.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
In college and I'm sorry, and again if he were
just a really good linebacker on the team and just
but okayev he's Lawrence Taylor.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
All right, Andre from Massachusetts, You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
What's up, Dreight, Hey, how you doing?

Speaker 14 (20:21):
Thanks for taking a call listen for me. This is
a real sign of the times and a dual Carter things.
Because he has a couple hundred followers on Instagram, that
he's entitled to walk into the Giant Stadium and even
mentioned Lawrence Taylor's name and put forth this idea of
putting number fifty six on his back. It's just absolutely outlandish.
And again, you know, you get you know, I just

(20:42):
do feel these young these folks, you know, come into
the league with these grandiose opinions of themselves because they
live in an.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
I generation ross.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
You're a You are on the Baseball.

Speaker 14 (20:52):
Hall of Fame, which is the gold standard for Hall
of Fame, So you understand what it means to be
in no institutions and have your name spoken of in
those type of heights. Abdul Carter, you're a good player,
so on and fourth, but you're not even the star
of this draft. Who is Travis Hunter? Okay, you're not
like we don't we don't think about you coming into
the NFL. You're the third overall pick, a good player,

(21:15):
But to start even mentioning Lawrence Taylor's name, never even
then going to the you know, standpoint of Lawrence Taylor
making entreaties to give you his jersey. It's just in
a whole different universe. So I understand that he's coming
in the league, with a lot of you know, it's
a great moment for you and you you know when
people win awards, they say all type of things because
they just feel filled with joy. I get all that, okay,

(21:36):
but take a huge step back and think about what
you're saying. And then now you put a mark on yourself.
We're looking for big things. You your rookie year thing.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Like seriously, even if you're a young guy, maybe you
don't know. And you don't know and and I.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Get it, they don't know all the history of we
have right right, it takes two seconds. Cool like like
you know, numbers O retire? You know that Alli would
take Let what what number are retired with the New
York Football Giants. I bet you if you asked him
why they would call the New York Football they wouldn't know.
Like I just think I would google and figure out

(22:11):
before I would even address that to make myself know.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
You know, also, I just think too, there's there has
to be someone an agent, somebody's like, hey, just real quick,
don't even do that. No no, no, I'm saying maybe no, no, no, no,
trust your boy, no, because he would be conde flat
trust your boy. We don't need to do that. We
don't even need the publicity of you trying to do that.
All right, We got Lomas getting ready to join us

(22:36):
loam Ma, Lomas Brown getting ready to join this eighteen
year NFL VET talks some more football with him, even
get his idea on if this is Blacksmiths or not.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Steve Sager would is trending well.

Speaker 7 (22:45):
The Yankees were up twelve nothing on the Orioles going
to the sixth inning with starting pitcher Carlos Rodin throwing
a perfect game. He's now allowed to run bottom of
the six so that perfect game is done. Twelve to
one is the Yankees lead at Baltimore and the Baltimore
start tonight. Kyle Gibson allowed home runs to the first
three batters, including Aaron Judges' ninth home run of the season.

(23:06):
This was the season debut for Gibson. Three and two
thirds inning, fell behind nine to nothing, gave up five
solo homers in this game. The Mets, with a record
of twenty and nine, are up eight one against the
Diamondbacks in the top of the fifth. Red Sox leads
seven to two at Toronto. Bottom of the fifth, there
was an incredible catch in center field by the Blue

(23:27):
Jays Dalton var Show. He tripped and fell on the
warning track and still back ended the fly ball for
the out. To the sixth inning, the Royals lead at
the Rays two to one. Tampa Bay as a five
game winning streak on the line. Philadelphia and pitcher Zach
Wheeler lead Washington three to one in the top of
the seventh After a rain delay at the start. The
Cubs now lead at Pittsburgh for nothing. In the bottom
of the sixth. Saint Louis at Cincinnati reigned out twins

(23:50):
at Cleveland, still in a rain delay at the start,
they hoped to get underway in about twenty minutes. As
for the NBA, and we've got four playoff games. Tonight
in Indiana was down to Milwaukee thirty three thirteen. Early
second quarter, it was tied. Now the Bucks have retaken
the lead in the final minute one oh three ninety
nine at Indiana for the moment, Pacers up three games

(24:12):
to one. Knicks lead three games to one. They're at
home and trailing in the second quarter against Detroit forty
to thirty five. About to start. Orlando at Boston. The
lead for the Celtics three games to one in that
first rounder. Clippers at Denver is the late game ten
pm Eastern Time. That series tied at two. The NBA
Rookie of the Year is the Spurs Stefan Castle. The

(24:33):
Kings are finalizing a deal to keep Doug Christie as
head coach for NHL playoff games tonight, including the Devils
going to the second period with a three to nothing
lead at Carolina. Ottawa up won nothing at Toronto in
the second and the Vancouver head coach, Rick Tockett has
stepped down. The forty nine Ers gave tight end George
Kittle a four year extension. The Vikings signed linebacker Andrew

(24:54):
van Ginkel to a one year extension. Washington signed kicker
Matt Gay and released kicker Zaying Gonzales. New Orleans cut
quarterback Ben Denucci and guys. In college baseball today, Lehigh
was hosting and beating cop and State twenty nine to sixteen,
and it was only a seven inning game. They said

(25:14):
time of the game was over three and a half hours.
For the seven innings. Lehigh finished with twenty nine runs,
fifteen hits, sixteen walks, attendance fifty seven.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Thank you, I couldn't.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
All yeah, as all parents almost had more walks than
people in this state. Yeah, well, if you combined the
walks in the hits, you get close to it. Steve,

Detroit Radio analysts And uh, of course Lomas Love.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
You're watching this Pistons in this game right now?

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Lomas, Yeah, yeah, I'm checking the fellas out.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
Man.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
We're hoping, man, we hoping that we're gonna be able
to bring it back to Detroit. Man, it's been a
good series.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
We tell I know you did, Lomas, no doubt. Miss
let me ask you here we are, we're talking about
the jersey thing. Yeah, and and uh a dual Carter
wanted large tailor's retard uh jersey, I know, like Lomas
laugh okay? And and and uh war Moon was nice

(26:51):
uh to give up his uh jersey.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
To Kim war the number one? But where are you
on this?

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Like?

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I just can't see somebody ask for Lawrence Taylor? Wait,
can make it, make it? Can make it for Lomans. Lomans.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Somebody came in and asked for the number twenty with
the Barry Sanders right.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Oh, Kevin, come on, Kevin, and you know that ain't
happening around here. Man. You know that. Man, I can't
believe adast Toby for him to even ask for LT
that's just crazy to me. And rock you know what else?
Fellas the other thing that tripped me out? Did you
hear the one lineman from I guess Dallas that says

(27:30):
he enjoys watching taking the love of the game out
of his opponent's eyes. This nude They ain't lined up.
It's somebody that got got drafted off the line. Ain't
lined up for day right now? What he gonna do
to a grown man?

Speaker 12 (27:47):
Man?

Speaker 4 (27:47):
He's tripping now they are.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
They are tripping loans just crazy. They be getting loves.
They were twelve online.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
That's why, hey, lomanster drafts obviously should do or saying,
I mean a lot of people they misread the NFL
because they were pretty lockstep. We kept hearing he was
dropping dropping. Nobody thought it'd be fifth round draft choice.
What'd you think of it as it unfolded and you
were watching, were you shocked?

Speaker 8 (28:14):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (28:15):
I was shocked he failed so far. I kind of
known what the talk that was coming out that he
might fall, but I was just really shocked, man that
he failed all the way to the foot of Brown.
And you know again, me personally, I just think it
was against Dion. I really do.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
What Lomas, you notice, this is the only thing I'll
say to you, And I'm a pushback. These guys, these
gms and teams are trying to win, and I get they.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
You know, Dion was trying.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
To, you know, tell everybody who was kid was the
top five pick or whatever, but if that kid really
could play, because I don't understand Cleveland. You're passed up
on him four times, lowments and then you draft you
know what, I mean like they could have drafted him
one of those picks in the second round if they
if he's not as saying he could be that starter.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
That doesn't make sense to me.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
So, Rob, do you think Quinn didn't Quinn yours go
before him? No, end up being a seventh round Okay,
it was another quarterback that shouldn't have win.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Shuck said Taylor, Shuck him. Taylor Shuck Gabriel Diylar Dylan Gabriel.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
It is the Gabriel Dylan. It's just no way. I
felt that he should have win a head of should
do Nobody did, and Rob. Maybe maybe it's not. Maybe
it's not the collusion that a lot of us stink
it is, but it's just the optics. It's just the
optics of things. It may not be that, but it's

(29:41):
just how it looks. Rob and I got so many texts,
so many comments about that on Saturday when he kept falling.
Everybody was just wondering, and that the common theme was
whether the NFL was colluding against beyond not not sho door.
It was more Dion than any thing else.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Yeah, I mean, listen, that's a conversation me and Rob.
Nobody was saying that he was the return of Andrew
Luck as far as a prospect.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
But for people to be.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Saying most the consensus with our first maybe late first round,
second round, and him to drop the fifth is what
have people kind of confused and in some cases even
emotional live on air because it just what didn't make
sense to them. But let's let's so let's move it forward, Lomus. Now,
to Rob's point, the Browns have seven six seven quarterbacks
and Shaun Watson probably gonna be gone. But what do

(30:30):
you making should do his chances as an actual prospect
in the NFL, specifically with the Browns because Joe flackawait
the answer for maybe a year, half a year, and
the other guys drafted ahead of them, you know, we
don't think that highly of them. Would it be so
pointless if he ends up starting it within eight games
of the season.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
No, No, I don't think so. I agree with what
you say, and like you say, looking at who they
have and they stable of quarterbacks right now, should doer
can come in now? I think it would be hard
for him day one this step in there. But I
get to see, like you said, probably around the midway
seed and midway point of the seeds and this stuff

(31:11):
that things aren't going good. You know they had I
think they will give them a shot.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Why not because those guys, a lot of those guys
on thin ice around now anyway, And like you guys
both said, these gms, these coaches, they need to win now.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yes, that is the biggest thing is they have to
win now. Last thing, Lomash, the Lions missed opportunity to
go to the super Bowl last year. Another missed opportunity
when you're playing a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 17 (31:42):
About to jump you, Rock Lomas, I mean you already know.
Has the window closed like playing round NFL?

Speaker 8 (31:52):
No, Loman, I.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Mean like they were. They had two great opportunities. Would
you admit that the last time?

Speaker 2 (31:58):
I agree?

Speaker 15 (31:59):
I agree.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
These last two years were the years for us to
finally get to a super Bowl. Now the windows still open,
rogsk it ain't real open because look look what Chicago did.
Look if Minnesota getting Aaron Rodgers, look where they would
be at Look at Green Bay to consistent, that's just

(32:21):
right in our division. The loanent's having to face Philly,
having to face Washington, Cincinnati, Matthew Stafford again some of
these tough games that we got away games that they
have Baltimore, it's gonna Kansas City, it's gonna be a
challenge this year, and nobody's looking for fifteen and two this.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
No, no, no, you're not playing the AFC South this year.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
They beat up Loments that they beat up last year.
Am I right?

Speaker 1 (32:50):
They just took out a whooping stick to the AFC South.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Yeah, but you never know.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
It might be cal Man. I can't do nothing by.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Because they did did they crushed.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
I'm hoping this whatever the division happens to be a
worst division than expected again and we can take advantage
of it. All right, Well, Lomas Man, we appreciate you.
Thank you so much for taking time as always.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
My man, as every time.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Yes, all right, talk to you, los, appreciate man.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
He said, don't come to Detroy asking for that number
twenty jerseys. Barry Sanders, all right, wait, how did Indian what?

Speaker 3 (33:26):
They tied it and went overtime? We missed? How do
we okay, Steve, We're gonna need you.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Yes, and then when we come back here because they
were down four with like forty seconds.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Talking, we gotta get there. We turned around all right,
Trash Talking Tuesday. I'm about to trash the bud seven

Speaker 3 (34:42):
LeVar, Yes, I had him to him too.

Speaker 13 (34:45):
Oh well, he has that show on. It's you know,
two pros and a Joe. And toward the end of
the show they have lead the laps leftover. So he's
a producer, and they were asking him about his girlfriend
and LeVar referred to her as the ball in Shane.
I find that very unnecessary to call someone a ball

(35:06):
in Shane.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Okay, okay, soon and then we go, you go, Var
And that's the second time LeVar in a week, two
weeks in a row on trash t Ye. Remember the
last person was because he had said something crazy about Jesus.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Remember that, that's right. Come al of our Donnie in Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio who
are trashing Donnie.

Speaker 8 (35:27):
I'm trashing him.

Speaker 15 (35:28):
Two rookies who want to get somebody of Jersey.

Speaker 8 (35:31):
Man, you just got in the me go make your
own name, all right, you're lucky they paying you. You
ain't you ain't playing it down in the NFL. And
you think you own this man and Warren moon uft
his head too.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Can take your number.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
Man, Go out and make your own history.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
He is Crescent. Hey.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Uh Sean in Sacramento, you're in the odd couple trash Sean,
Who are you trashing Sean.

Speaker 12 (36:04):
Yeah, my uncle from another mother cousin killed me and
my brothers.

Speaker 9 (36:07):
Barn the boy.

Speaker 12 (36:08):
I kind of want to trash that first call it
because who hasn't heard the turd.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
Ball in change?

Speaker 5 (36:12):
Come on, now, lady, were hearing she said with disrespect exactly.

Speaker 12 (36:17):
She's what's disrespectful, LaVar Arrington in the bar at four
o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
But I'm gonna leave that for time.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
LeVar taking.

Speaker 12 (36:27):
I'm trashing Nike man. I know it's not really, but
they done lost their mind. First of all, kinda already
expose these dudes for some of us pairs of Jordan's
for two fifty when it costs in five to fifty
to make.

Speaker 15 (36:38):
But now they over.

Speaker 12 (36:39):
Here dropping the same retro Jordan's year We're in year
route Rob Parker copping them all and resell them all
every single time. But I've had the last straw. They're
selling Dirty air Force one, yes, pre Dirty air Force one,
for one hundred and twenty dollars online Nike on and
lost y'all mind, and bad enough you're doing slave labor
overseas where I'm from. You hear that, Brian, I'm in

(37:00):
the Philippine. So y'all need to get y'all asked straight.
And if dude you asking me anything, man, I hope
you tear tear them apart.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
There you go, Sean coming strong, Sean? How about Ken
in California? You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Who you trashing Ken? Probably me? Yeah?

Speaker 15 (37:16):
JJ Reddick.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Oh.

Speaker 8 (37:19):
I can't stand it.

Speaker 15 (37:20):
I can't stand it.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
I'm a Laker fan.

Speaker 15 (37:23):
I can't stand it. I can't stand in competency of
a head coach.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
They want to.

Speaker 15 (37:27):
Put in a fifty five year old three quarters fourth
quarters and a three hundred and fifty pounds looka who
needs to get in shape, and I don't even see it.
Don't connect and connect connect. And he was playing good,
and he's a seventeenth round, first round pick, and they're
gonna ship him like they shipped him earlier this year
and they're not even gonna find out today he is

(37:49):
a clutch shooter. And I'm out.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
You know what, man, all right, it's a great day
for you. Ken didn't come up.

Speaker 5 (37:56):
And not only that, Ken doubled it up by going
after JJ Roight. You always get mad JJ Rowley. That's
why he's the genius. Yeah, look at it. Man, Ken
is back. Oh man, that's what three hundred and five
Lucas Man, Lucas catching straight. You don't have the funniest
part about this. You've been around NBA players. The best
part about this is we're comparing them to Russell Westbrook.

(38:17):
And what I mean is when you see some of
these players in real life, there's so much thinner than
you think. It's just I'm sitting next to Tayshaun Prince
and god so skinny that when you actually see them,
you're like, oh, Chris Paul looks a little dope. Then
you see it in real life, you're like, Okay, now, no,
by the way, this Buck Nick, this Buck Pacer game
absolutely up by four six they were were I'm saying,

(38:41):
I ago.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
But you don't. You can't give up by n one.
You're up by four. There's no reason. All they're gonna
do is file Giannis and Jannie mister and I have
a chance to win TI the game, all right, trash
talking Tuesday. Let me try. Let me trash the bucks.
The Bucks. You have won this game five times over.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
If you know to win and close the game, you
know what I just realized Steve justin alex rob Their
coach is Doc Rivers. That's why the Pacers are coming back, and.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
We're about to lose it.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
I was on the phone with Southwest Airlines.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
I was about to fly to Indiana right there.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
If they if they blow us in, Doc, I mean,
people are gonna have a artist.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Remember what he said to those losses. At least we
were in it. At least we didn't get swept.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
And if he loses tonight, Doc Rivers is gonna say,
at least I didn't get swept.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Remember he said that last time that was so bad. Well,
at least I mean some of those first round loss,
God for God won a championship.

Speaker 5 (39:43):
To be those play in a hard era knows what
it's about. Play with an organization coach. I should say
with the Celtics, Come on, Doc, you got to be better.
At least I don't get swept.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
That's okay.

Speaker 5 (39:55):
And you were up three to one and you gave
it up multiple times?

Speaker 3 (39:59):
Man, hey coming up? Yeah, Well we got I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
A couple of the Philadelphia Eagles went to the White House.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Well some did and some didn't. Somebody didn't go.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
It's gonna be interesting to see how people react to
the guys go.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Full Nerd on you.

Speaker 5 (40:14):
It's kind of X men, like like somebody is Professor
X and somebody's Magneto, like Malcolm and Martin on how
you view things there.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yeah, I haven't dreamed that one day the Bucks will win.
This game is a bond chain bad
