Rob Parker, kelvin, Washington. Yes, we are Fox Sports Radios,
Odd couple. Don't forget coming up in about forty minutes
or so, it's a trash talking Tuesday. Your chance to
trash anyone anything in the world of sports. We will
not you, We will not interrupt you, will give you your
(00:46):
time to shine, so you'll be ready for that. And
in about twenty eight minutes, Anthony Gargano, of course Fox
Sports Radios, the Fellas and the Allcity Network, he is
in philadelphia'll tell us just to react of that choke
job by the Eagles last night on Monday Night Football.
But Kelvin, let's go here. There are a lot of
(01:07):
oh and two teams in the NFL. Let's break them down. Rams, Panthers, Giants, Broncos, Titans, Jags, Colts,
Bengals and Ravens, Right, yep. I mean he's that one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight nine teams oh and two. And you know when
you're oh and two, it's hard to make the playoffs,
(01:29):
Like you don't have a good record in the NFL
when you lose the first two games. But all these
teams here deserve to be on that list, except for
two of them.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I think we may have the same too.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
But the other ones, I'm not surprised. Okay, the Rams
got all kinds of injuries. They're gonna be I don't
know what they're gonna do this year. They got they
got injuries all over the place. Okay, yeah, they're out
of it. They had a chance. You can look at
the season. You got cut back, you got pookah tight,
Yeah that might be a puke and what about a
defensive line and pukin on the ball.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Yeah, the Packers, Uh, they're out of it now. They're
too many injuries, the offensive players. So unfortunately for them.
Rams Arount Panthers awful, just terrible. They are a really
really good college football team.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Right and they already have gone to the red rifle
Andy Dalton.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
We already know about that story, and that's not a
break in case of emergency you want at all.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Right now, the Giants again, just Daniel Jones, Danny Dimes,
how about Danny Pennies. I mean, we got nothing going
there with the Giants. The Broncos again, nothing there.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
You'll see.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Maybe you're you're kind of hopefully with your quarterback next week.
What will we get in the years to come? But
right now they're out of this thing, and you're not
necessarily looking at it as this is the season that
we're gonna be good.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
So they're out of it. Keep going. Where are we
at now? The Titans? The Titans, you know they had
what they have, a seventeen to nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Lead over the Bears. Yeah, and blew that. And now
their season is.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Already and you already got your coach calling out your
young quarterback, already told him he a big boy man up,
man up, Will Levis throwing that, throwing some crazy passes
on his knees, throwing interceptions, so that craziness. Right, You
got the Titans. They're again not a team you're expecting
much from. No, and then the Jags.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
And the Jags are interesting because I thought that they
had turned the corner.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
I really did.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
If you remember the playoff game that they came back
against the Chargers, you remember that they were down twenty
eight to nothing or whatever it was, and they made
an unbelievable comeback. But this team is not good, Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
He's starting to fall into my category of all right, now,
that category is I keep hearing about you.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
All right, he ain't coming here. Yeah, he ain't showing up.
Is he talented? Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Has he won a playoff game the one you just mentioned,
Credit to him, Yes, day, big time.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
That's what I thought they would capitalize on that last year.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
But last year they came out of the gate.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
They scuffled, they struggled, They just never were able to
recap sure what they got in that playoffs.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
The good thing for them is the division there and
somebody's got to win it. So there's there's some hope
there that you know, Hey, look, no matter what the
record is, right, we win the division we're in, So
there's some hope there. So I'm not you can still
rest your head on that you got a solid quarterback,
rest your head on the fact that again you can
win your division, have a shot. But he is falling
in my all Right, now I keep hearing y'all talk
(04:22):
about it, I'm gonna need to see that next step up.
He's in your top eight, top seven, top six quarterbacks.
It's like, all right, now he's got to show me.
But now we got a couple of teams left. Woymen
got the Colts. Don't forget all right?
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Where are you on them? Owing to I actually am not.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I'm optimistic on them futuristically this season. You know they're
not gonna be great, but I actually like what they're
building there. The running game with Taylor. You already know
what he's gonna do. Give it the ball more. Actually,
by the way, I like what I'm saying with Richardson
as far as it getting the talent level.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
He's gonna start putting it together.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I mean, man through a dag near ninety nine yard
pass all through the air, and they had a chance
to win the game as well well. So I'm thinking
with the Colts, even if I'm a fan, I'm optimistic
moving forward, right, I'm saying not this year, but you
And that's the difference when.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
We talk about the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Panthers, Rob, It's not that you're losing it's can I
be excited. I see what's coming right. I like this
young roster, and I think Colts fans feel that way.
We've been in these games. We had a chance. I
like what we're seeing. We had a bunch of talent.
So maybe you're optimistic moving forward. This is not the season,
but again, somebody does have to win that division, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
But so far Richardson where we have four interceptions and
three touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
But you still see him and you go, ooh, he
puts it together. You know he lost last season with
the injury. He's still getting his you know, getting his
feet under him. You see the talent. He could run.
He's big, he's strong, he's mobile. You hope he stays
healthy obviously, but you start to see, ooh, we have
a running game kind of similar to what we were
just talking about with from earlier with the Eagles and
having that all right, maybe our approach is running right.
(05:55):
You got Richardson running obviously, want to say out, and
then you got Taylor running similar it hurts and Saquan
so maybe you get at least some optimism.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Rob like, all right, we got something brewing there. Now
the other two teams I'm sorry. I know they were
on two. I expect both of them to make the playoffs.
And we're talking about the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals had the Chiefs beat they did, they just did.
Why didn't not running the ball at the end? I
do not understand. I just these coaches what like they
(06:24):
coached themselves out of games at the end, Like it happens.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Way too often. Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
How in the world do they give up that game
to the Raiders? Let the Raiders score? What did you
do in the fourth quarter? Seventeen thirteen thirteen.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Yeah, but you could also argue the Ravens could have
beat the Chiefs too if somebody didn't have a swollen toe.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Remember, I'm gonna get you, sucker.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Remember that same when the toe got all swollen and
somebody didn't have a likely didn't have a swollen toe.
Then they beat the Kansas City Chiefs. And I guess
you gotta also give credit to the Chiefs, by the way,
who keep finding ways to.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Win no matter what.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Right, we keep get calls I'm sorry, you go, hey,
call you got it first of all to get these
quote unquote Patriot calls. You want to give them that
you gotta win something, right, you gotta just the Warriors
or the Patriots. The common denominator is they keep winning
and winning rings. So therefore maybe they do get the
benefit of these calls. But the chief keep finding ways
to win. Because the Chiefs because we could. We said
(07:18):
the Bengals should have had them beat We say the
Ravens should had him beat. We talked about the Bills
could have had him beaten several playoff games. But they
keep finding ways to win. But I think we're both
big on the Bengals and the Ravens. Would be interesting though,
is you look at the Ravens. The last time they
went zho and two was back in John Harball was
back in twenty fifteen.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
They did not make the playoffs. But I think we
both agree.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
They can look at their own their mistakes and say,
we beat ourselves, right, and obviously the other team has
to win the game, But they can look at this
optimistically and say, you know what, We're gonna write the ship.
We have something special in an MVP in Lamar Jackson.
Derek Henry's only gonna get more, and he.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Played better in Week two right, I mean, so that
was I thought they had the game control.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
They were up by like ten or whatever.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
It was.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Okay, you know it wasn't pretty, but but your point,
run the ball.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Derrick Henry was balling, running looking like Derrick Henry of
oh King Henry up in this thing, and then you
stopped giving them the ball.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
And it reminds me of what they did last season
in the AFC Championship game.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Were they I think the running backs had four runs
in that game. They led the league in rushing, you know,
rushing attempts, and when they when they rushed for I
can't remember what the number was they had, like when
they rushed the ball twenty times or some number like that.
They only lost one game all year, and they went
(08:37):
away from running the football.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
So I didn't really get that.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
I was shot to your point, you start being too cute.
You start doing what you and I also call it.
You start playing not to lose. And there's the difference
when you're playing not to lose versus we playing our game.
This is what we do. We come in, we're here
to win. This is what we're gonna do. This is
how we know, this is we're successful. You start to
play not to lose, right, and scare of money as
you do don't make any money, and so that's what
(09:02):
they did. Then they start running the game with Derek Cary.
He's like, why why do you go get arguably the
most dominating, most punishing running back in the last seven
eight years?
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Why do you go get him and then not use him?
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Right?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
It makes no sense? And I get it week one,
he's that near cheakos.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
They were trying to figure it out, and you got Lamar,
who's an all time great. This guy's won two MVPs
and only got one time didn't get a vote. And
both of those MVPs, I mean two, almost unanimous twice,
which is mind boggling because Brady was the only one
with a unanimous MVP and now Lamar has.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Two with just one vote. Quickly before we break here,
who do you if it came up? Because they're both
in the AFC, so maybe they both can't make it.
If it comes out of the Bengals and the Ravens,
who you got? Now, I'm going with the Ravens because
I got the Ravens going to the Super Bowl. Yeah,
I like the Ravens too much. I'm a Joe Burrow. God,
I think he's tremendous. We've seen what he's done.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Like he reminds me I call him the uh the
Aaron Judge of the NFL.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Like he's hurt a lot.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
So so you know you're kind of like, well, what
is he not playing?
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Whatever?
Speaker 3 (10:10):
But when he plays and he's healthy, balls out. You
know what he is to one and nine in his
first two games?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Since in his career, if you take the first two
weeks out every season, he's one and nine.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
So about starlow starter a historically slow start. I'm slow
started with the ladies.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
No, no, no, it's over before they know it. I'm
just saying, so, yeah, we both agree.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
If you got to pick one of these two teams,
I'm going with the Ravens. I trust kind of what
they do, their system better. But the Bengals are right there.
I wouldn't want to play either of them in the postseason.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
And have we missed somebody? Are we overlooking another team
that maybe you think can overcome an ohero and two
start in the NFL and make some noise or make
the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Well, you see what I'm doing, I'm marking off the
Panthers and the Rams and the Giants.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah, those those those are givings. Yeah, unless unless you're
really crazy.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
All right, now tell the phone number eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six
sixty three sixty nine. We want to air from you.

about that one day, all right, game eight three sixty
seven ninety nine on Fox all with two teams. There's
nine of them. Who do you believe has a chance
to bounce back?
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Will take some calls, Thomas in Iowa, you're in the
odd couple of Fox Sports waiting.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
What's up, Thomas?
Speaker 8 (14:13):
How are you hey?
Speaker 9 (14:14):
I'm doing great.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
I heard the topic and I just had to get
my two cents on this.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
All right.
Speaker 9 (14:19):
I don't want to be buyased.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
I'm a Jags fan, but no, I just want to
let America know.
Speaker 9 (14:23):
No team has owned any other team or the Bills, Daddy.
Speaker 8 (14:27):
We we always beat the Bills, whether wherever it's that.
Speaker 10 (14:30):
We'll beat the Bills.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
But bet on the Jaggs on the money line Monday night.
Speaker 9 (14:35):
And after that game, we had two division games and
we go to London for two games.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
That be That's from me.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
I believe the Jags will get it together with our
awesome deveil.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Well, let me ask you this about Trevor Lawrence, because
I'm I'm concerned.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
He just doesn't look that good to me.
Speaker 9 (14:51):
It's Tess Taylor, is it?
Speaker 4 (14:53):
I think the offensive coordinator needs to find something different
and get him on ZYNC because at the last two
games and very bad.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Really bad. I'm I'm like, what is going on? Yep,
they gave them a pile of money. Oh yeah, I mean, listen,
they had a lock appreciate the car.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
They had to lock them in at some point because
one thing is that one of the things that is
not growing on trees is QB's that's all.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
And half the league would die for a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
That's the problem with the NFL is like if you
don't have a quarterback, you're out of the running. Like
you have nothing going on? Will and Wisconsin, You're on
the couple of Fox Sports.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Ready, what's up? Will?
Speaker 5 (15:29):
What's going on?
Speaker 8 (15:29):
Rob? What's going on?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Calvin Man?
Speaker 11 (15:32):
And Rob?
Speaker 8 (15:33):
Actually?
Speaker 10 (15:33):
Man to your point, I'm kind of actually sit up
here cooking a little bit late. I got some great
ingredients coming together for a little bit of late Starbride, Okay,
And I think that that kind of is what we're
looking at with the Ravens, right, I mean, those are
two I mean we talked about like the commerce records
and stuff later on the season. Those two conference losses
are going to be tough. I don't expect the Steelers
(15:54):
to leave that division, you know, going into ten eleven
twelve win territory. It is a upheel battle. But I
do believe that they will eventually get it figured out.
Lamar is that portional buick lot and now they actually
got another another car there almost.
Speaker 8 (16:09):
Like a Ferrari and a porch.
Speaker 10 (16:10):
So you just got to figure out how to bring
that together to make all that, you know, make that lake.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
They could be too and oh and they could be
two and oh, you argue should be right least had
a chance. Lamar through the passage foot was on the
line the game.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
And that swollen tow he needed some ib profile will.
But I think is when are they gonna use that
Cadillac and at Ferrari, you know what I mean? They
know they didn't even get the Cadillacto if you want
to call Derek Henry the Cadillac.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
They ain't give them the ball in the four quarters
like they got.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Oh yeah, I forgot. I got that thing back there,
thank you for You can't forget that bad boy. Stirfry
sounds good. I ain't gonna lie to you. I'm a
little hungry, right now I about to grow hub something.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
I understand that Kenneth and Corona, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
What's up, Kenneth? Actually, what's up buddy? I saw Corona
but yep, no problem. How are you, buddy?
Speaker 12 (16:58):
I'm doing great, Calvin, welcome to the show Man, great
show as always.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Guys, shout I E thank you, yes sir.
Speaker 12 (17:05):
But yeah, I think I think the Ravens and the
Bengals are both going.
Speaker 8 (17:08):
To get in.
Speaker 12 (17:09):
I Justin Fields is not going to play turnover free
every single week, would you shock it?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Because he's a turnover machine.
Speaker 13 (17:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (17:17):
And you know, so you know you can only just
you can only cover chicken. Soup is going to turn
into chicken, you know what? But uh, and so the
Ravens are gonna win that division because they owned Cincinnati,
they owned Joe Burrow. They're won their four and one
against him when the QB. But I think they're both
going to come back and win because and make the
playoffs because the Raiders lost, no disrespects to robb G
(17:39):
but they're not going anywhere. And the New England Patriots
that conference loss shouldn't hurt the Bengals. But that referee
throwing that flag was was atrocious. You would pull a
flag on every single hail Mary in that Cincinnati Bengals game,
Like there's more contact on hail Mary's than on that
plate that set up the Chiefs for that field goals.
(17:59):
So you know the the Chiefs have the reps in
their back pockets. But I think the Bengals and the
Ravens are gonna both pull out there.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
And it's I don't thank you for the car and
I don't agree with the Again that call. We had
TJ on who is a former Bengal.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
TJ.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Whosman's out a former Bengal, and he even said that
that was that was He.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Just said that, But you're gonna call it all the
time on everybody or just one.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Two Innoc's point though, the heil Mary is like, hol there,
I'm throwing it sixty five yards and eleven dudes down
there trying to catch one ball.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
You don't call that.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
That was actually a clear cut dude ranch try to
run through the receiver. So I think that was an
easy and much easier passive appearance if you're asking me.
But a couple of the points we're going back to
these Ravens. I think most of us seem to agree
that the Ravens have a shot and you know, to
get back, get things right.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Because we've seen it before, right.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
And I mean, they didn't get blown out their first
two games. They they made mistakes at the end of
both of those games that they could have won. I mean,
they could have beat the Chiefs and they didn't do that.
And then they were winning this game and gave up
thirteen points to a Raiders team in the fourth quarter
at home. I mean, how often is that gonna happen?
Speaker 1 (19:05):
And I think the Raiders didn't expect to win. They
call we win, that we won, we won. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
I think also we believe in the Ravens in the
fact that, to their credit, they have an identity. We
know what they do. We've been seeing it year in
year out. When they play their absolute best, they're gonna win.
I don't have the schedule, I have to pull it
up quick in front of me. But Lamar Jackson is
like twenty and one or something against the NFC, so
I meaning they're gonna have some games where he clear
is just gonna win because he's simply playing the NFC.
(19:32):
And but I do want to go back to I
want to say it was in this if I'm not
mistaking the call, I don't agree with. Why isn't Justin
Fields gonna keep playing this way? It's not like he's
doing anything spectacular, No, he's but.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
He's still you're right, Yeah, but he turns the ball
over a lot in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
That was different.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
But I do you see do you see what's going
on with Kayler Williams, who we all agree is a
better quarterback than Justin Fields. Do you see what's going
under pressure, getting mob getting jump, getting sacked, running for
his life, trying to make magic happen. Because he has
a choice, Justin Fields has the potential to say, oh wow,
all I have to do is make the right play.
(20:11):
Similarly to Ben Roethlisberger, Ben Roethlisberger's first year, Big Ben
wasn't lighting you up. He just was handing off the
ball to the backs fast. Willie Parker and Jerome bettis
making a play here there and trusting that defense. And
I look at Justin Fields, I'm like, dude, perfect kind
of guy for what they don't what they need him
to do. Third and five, go run for it if
you get a chance, If a little quick, nice little pass.
(20:35):
Make it it's not there. Trust our defense, take a sack,
throw it out of the mounts. So I think Justin
Fields might actually surprise me.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
If anything.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Russell Wilson's over there clapping like, yeah, good play.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Well we'll see.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
All it takes is a disastrous day and a couple
of turnovers. I'm just saying, and then they'll be like, uh,
you know, but this way, regardless, Russell, how's that leg?
You know what I'm saying, Like that, that's what could happen.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
That's true, And I mean that's, by the way, tight
thing to have in your back pocket breaking case emergency
is Russell Wilson. Not that you know, he's obviously not
had amazing two or three years, But dude, if you
got that year, he.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Played better last year, no doubt about it. All Right,
we got a lot to do coming up, that's right.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
We got Anthony Gargino gonna be joining us Fox Sports Radios,
the Fellas All City Network coming up in just a
bit out there in Philly where you think it was
just a horrible epic collapse, I feel like it was
more of a bad game they let slip. We'll jump
into that in just a little bit. That was kind
a while right there. Anthony Gargano is joining us now, folks,
Fox Sports Radio is the Fellas All City Network.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Twitter, make sure you hit him up, Anthony L.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Gargano, Anthony, what's happening?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Say hello to Kelvin Washington, the newest Odd Couple member.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yes, what's up?
Speaker 8 (21:45):
Anthony?
Speaker 1 (21:46):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (21:47):
Man?
Speaker 3 (21:47):
I appreciate you joining us, brother, I want you to
to I don't know if you're with Rob on this.
We're talking about the Eagles game last week. Job.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Choke job. That was a choke job.
Speaker 8 (21:59):
It was yes, it was you. You had a ten
minute drive, right, you had a game?
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Right?
Speaker 8 (22:08):
You can't. I mean, listen, I love say Klon Right.
And here's the issue. There's no need to throw the ball.
I get the play call and I understand it. But
ninety nine alp On a hundred times he catches it.
But there's the one time in the parallel universe that
he does it, and that kills you. That's why you
(22:30):
don't overthink it. Right, you run the ball and use
the clock, man, thank you. That's what Hopeball does. Hardball hunts.
He kicks field goals, right, He runs the ball when
teams do not timeouts, and that's why he wins all
the time. That's why Jim Harball comes here and he's allybody,
Oh do it up. That's that's football.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
So what was the reaction in Philadelphia? I know people
are sick because what happened last year? They beat Green Bay. Okay,
you come home, you take on a piss poor Can
I say that Falcons team that looked terrible in their
opener and you think you're at home, you're gonna win this?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Am I right?
Speaker 8 (23:11):
I mean?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
And then you got no listen.
Speaker 8 (23:14):
It went beyond that. It was a celebration of Jason Kelcey.
It was a celebration of Nick Foles who retires as
an Eagle. It was a big night in Philadelphia, and
you know you had the game won. Siriany early in
the game, it's four to four, he doesn't kick the
field goal, which I thought was a mistake. You saw
(23:36):
how the game was gonna go. Vijon and Sa Kuon,
We're gonna run the ball and Atlanta's not going to
kill you scoring and even on the last drive, Vic Fangio.
Now the Eagles have an issue at d line. They
can't get a lot of organic pressure, and they run
that analytic friendly defense, which is a soft zone. You
(23:57):
got a pressure, you, Kirk, he's coming off of the
Achilles injury. Admittedly he doesn't even feel right, and he
has a clean pocket. Right, you got to bring pressure.
Sometimes you let a bunch and that's it was begging
for it last night.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Last night was like eating a cheese steak, right, it
was delicious, and then you realized on your last bite
that it had hair on it. I mean that, That's
what I felt like last night, Like, that's how bad
it was.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
I gotta give you some cuestion on that one.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Now, I give you credit on Rob. That was my right, guy, Anthony.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
It was a great knight, was supposed to be a
great night, and then we get hair and the cheese steak.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Well, hey, well Anthony, Anthony got got on with us
right now, and I couple Rob Parker covin Washington, all right,
So let me let me spin it.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Everything you said I agree with.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
I do think we have to give some more credit
to that Atlanta offensive line because they had Kirk Cousins
just standing up back there. You having all the time
in the world, but can you at least walk away
if you are a fan of the Eagles, terrible game,
choke job, what have you? And say, but I tell
tell you what Jalen Hurts looked like the Jalen Hurts
had led us to a super Bowl, not a win,
but led us to the super Bowl on that and
(25:07):
say we got something going. He looks healthy, strong, running
and making big plays with his arm as well.
Speaker 8 (25:14):
Yeah, I mean, listen, I mean there's this season not dead.
It was just a missed opportunity, right like dam Fran loses,
Dallas loses, Detroit loses, So in the comforence you could
have been tuning out. It's a big conference win that
you could have had last time to get Atlanta. So
that's why it's disappointing. I still think they're a good team,
(25:35):
and it's Jalen's showing. The quickness and the bursts was
great to see. Now there's one thing, though, that he
needs to button up desperately, and that is his decision making.
At the end of the game, they had two timeouts,
need fourteen yards to get a credible attempts at a
(25:58):
game winning field goal, and he threw the ball off
for grabs. It was a It was a hero ball
kind of throw and it was not a smart move.
That was the one blemish on the night. And I
don't I worry about exposing Dalian with a lot of
running because you know, listen, he need They need him right,
(26:20):
they need him upright. He got ding last year and
he wasn't the same. So I kind of want to
protect him. I want to see them now, no AYJ.
Brown last night, but I want to see him, you know,
be throw the ball more and protect himself. That would
be my only thing.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
What about Nick Sirianni. I mean, obviously last year was
just depressing for Eagles fans. Ten to one start, well,
aful the second half and and and you know, is
he this is the hot seat for him? I mean,
what do they need to do for him to continue
on as coach? Do they just need to win a division?
Do they need to win a playoff game, get to
(26:59):
the second round? What does he.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Need to do?
Speaker 9 (27:02):
Well?
Speaker 8 (27:02):
I think it's all about the optics, right, So you
desperately have to win. You got to make the playoffs,
and you got to have a credible run in the playoffs.
The problem is Belichick is hovering around like he's doing
work out of NFL films, which is in the shadows
of liked financial fields. And it's a weird situation, guys.
(27:25):
It's odd. Right, He's an offensive coach who has nothing
to do with the offense. Like he's a complete CEO coach,
and it's it's weird. I got the eyes with you.
It's a little, it's a little I've never seen it, right, Like,
you know, Andy aby Reef all those years was an
offensive coach, right, and he had a lot to do
(27:46):
with the offense. Even when there was a moment when
he gave up the play calling, he still oversaw the offense.
Speaker 9 (27:52):
Yea.
Speaker 8 (27:52):
He worked with the quarterbacks, you know, it was a
big deal. And Nick Sirielli's to do that. So it's
a kind of a weird situation. He's got two coordinators
like Kellen Moore. It's his production on offense. It's not Sirianny.
He called the play, which for Sae Kwon, it's it's
all hit on defense. It's Vic Fangio and that's it.
(28:15):
And he's just the CEO in charge of culture, which
is an odd thing.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
All right, Yeah, we'll see how the culture is in
our locker room. After another tough, tough loss. Anthony Gargano,
thank you so much, brother for the call.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
We appreciate it.
Speaker 8 (28:30):
Thank you great hatting to it. My main man, Robbie's

Speaker 4 (30:26):
I'm treshing the Eagles. I want to welcome Kelvin to
the odd ship moving forward and forward. I appreciate you, Carl,
all right, but I want to tell a quick story.
I'll live in Alabama. I pooled for Jalen Hurt since
he was in college.
Speaker 12 (30:41):
He came to the Senior Bowl to Mobile.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
My daughter was an ambassador and met him, and so
I've been pulling for him. And I work a lot,
so I don't get to watch a lot of football.
So last night I had to night off. I'm three time,
nothing to do, watch May night football and a guy
I'm pulling forward is about to win the game and
the men in thirty seconds left. The coach pulled that start.
It maybe physically ill. It ruined my one night off
(31:06):
I've had in about four months.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
I believe it. Call man. That was ugly, no doubt
about it.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
We gotta get cross some more days off. No to God,
I'm about to go down to Alabama and get on
crawling some days off now.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Months Chili, Tim in Atlanta, you're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Who you're trashing? Tim?
Speaker 11 (31:26):
I am trashing Sam Donald the duck. Okay, first of all,
you know, you know he came back in as he
beat my forty nine ers, Rob you know I'm a diehogic,
you know what I'm saying. Right, So, you know, he
goes into the locker room saying, Oh, you shouldn't have
cut me, You shouldn't have cut me.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
I'm like, really, do come on?
Speaker 9 (31:44):
Man?
Speaker 11 (31:45):
First of all, you know we lost in Minnesota. You
know we have a history of losing Minnesota, so it's
not about you, dude. Second of all, you talk about
yeah Rock Perdy, you man, because you got put behind him.
He did take us to the NFC Championship and the
Super Bowl. Us do you a cut by the Jets,
the Panthers and the you know, then we let you go,
So I mean, you really do?
Speaker 8 (32:06):
I mean, and then I'll.
Speaker 11 (32:07):
Side that one pass you had to justin Jefferson. You
kind of had a you know, a pedestrian tight game.
So with Jefferson out and Addison is a you know,
it's cool that we're pulling up to October because soon
before you know, you'll be bagging that pumpkins. You know,
two guys, and we'll see, you know, see if you're
(32:27):
talking after the month of October. You know, until then, dude,
go somewhere and sit down and remember who you really are.
You're saying Donald the duck.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Wow, Tim giving up some heat. Hey, hey, bo, what
you got?
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Uh?
Speaker 13 (32:41):
You know, I don't want to rain on Tim's parade there.
But Sam Darnald did not say anything about that in
the post game.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Oh who was that that?
Speaker 13 (32:48):
Nobody said that. It's just a fake quote. They were
went around Twitter. So that's the that's the dangers of
the modern age of tam.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
You got to watch off of those deep fakes. You
know they come the You gotta watch off of those.
Thanks for that public service announcement, Bow appreciate it. Tim
made it up to Tim actually just made it up.
That was a good Twitter.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
He was mad all right, Ken and Stockton, you're on
the eyd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Who you trashing? Ken?
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Well?
Speaker 8 (33:14):
No, that Chris Lift. Your jokes are sounding more funnier him.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
See, I love it. Chris was holding me back all
these years.
Speaker 14 (33:22):
You don't I want passing my rams. Kenny even beat
the Cardinals.
Speaker 8 (33:27):
Man, you can't lose my thirty one brother.
Speaker 14 (33:29):
You got more cohlas than that, And I'm on soho
gotta keep calling Chris. Probably my last time you break
up with Nick right, not Rob Pucker.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
All right, thanks Ken eight seven seven ninety nine off Fox.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
If you want to get in on a trash talking Tuesday,
it is in progress as we speak. Gary in Florida,
you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Who you trashing? Gary Hey?
Speaker 9 (33:59):
Guys, Kevin can congratulations on the new gig. Best to luck.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Appreciate you, Gary Hey.
Speaker 9 (34:03):
And I got to trash callins like that.
Speaker 8 (34:06):
Wasn't saying that.
Speaker 9 (34:07):
Trevor Lawrence is going to go into Orchard Parking with
Trevor Lawrence, who got they fifty five million dollars a year.
You know what he threw for Rob a grand total
of sixteen yards at the half last week. The boy,
they're really getting a lot from their money.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Sixteen I'm gonna do the math on that, so let
me divide it. That's a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
So he's thinking about about four million dollars a pass.
It has been a yard four million dollars yard.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
I ain't at at that. I appreciate the.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Call to anybody you want to trash, bo anybody you
want to trash, think about who I.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Need to trash.
Speaker 13 (34:44):
I mean, I can just echo everything Gargano said. I
thought the Eagles, I thought Nick Serroanni should have been
fired last year. They're the same exact team they were
when they lost all those games at the end of
the season last year. They're losing them the same way now.
I'm telling Rob they haven't won a game by double
digit sense of like weeks six of last season.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
You believe that, like like they were rolling at one
point and now everything's just struggle.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
We know when you go to a Super Bowl and
you lose, typically that that team ends up having a
rough season the next season. But you didn't expect it
like this because we talked about you have Jalen Hurts, right,
you have this offense. You go on the offseason, you
get say Kwan Barkley, who's in big piece. Oh for sure,
it looked great week one, right and then looked you
know good yesterday as well. Uh, you expect this team
(35:26):
to bounce back. But yeah, Nick listen. Nick Sirianni is
definitely on his LinkedIn page updating.
Speaker 13 (35:32):
He doesn't do anything. He doesn't do anything. He's a
cheerleader like that. And at some point there's gonna be
a conversation about Jalen Hurts too, because he does not
seem to want to win big games when it needs
to hand.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
I don't like that conversation.
Speaker 13 (35:45):
I know I don't want to have it either, But
that interception last night was an interception, regardless of where who,
if you got hit or not, he was throwing that pick.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
I mean, listen, at a certain point, you got to
just win, otherwise it becomes a valid conversation, right, listen.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Because you stopped the conversation by winning. Yeah, there's not
too many quarterbacks. I'm taking over him by the way.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
I mean, obviously there's a you know, you got your
your big names, you know, but I still I still
like him, buy into Jalen Hurts. I don't like that offense.
The way is being rung with Kellen Moore right now.
I don't like so again some of the decision making.
I don't like the way the defense got no pressure
on Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
That was the other one.
Speaker 13 (36:20):
Yeah, I think they haven't had a starting defensive lineman
have a sack since like Week six of last year.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Which is crazy. That's right, rolling his grave something like that.
That is an unbelievable stat Seriously, that's ridiculous. You accidentally
get a sack, right.
Speaker 13 (36:34):
All those Georgia dogs are not doing.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
You just fall on somebody by mistake.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
The quarterback falls, you put a peaky on them and
get it and get his sacked right there.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
No doubt. All right, crazy, all right, thanks for trash
talking Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Of course, we always give you your chance to weigh
in trash anything in the Willis Swampson. Kelvin Chrish used
to get trashed all the time. You did not get trashed.
But we got some kind listeners right now.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
They're like, let me just get let me gonna get
his feet wet right now, get acclimated, and they're being kind.
It's coming because listen, we're gonna we're gonna disagree me
and the callers on some stuff that they're gonna try
to get at me.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Right now. It's a warm welcome.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
This is welcome until the third hour because me and
you're gonna talk about show hail tany pitching in the postseason,
and we don't see eye to eye on this one
that we do, so we're gonna talk about that.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Uh and much more come in you, mister baseball, so
I gotta get at you. You better be ready. It
is the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. And you
know what you need to do, stick and stay because
you need to know America
