Bengals and Ravens, Right, yep. I mean he's that one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight nine teams oh and two. And you know when
you're oh and two, it's hard to make the playoffs,

Like you don't have a good record in the NFL
when you lose the first two games. But all these
teams here deserve to be on that list, except for
two of them.

I think we may have the same too.

But the other ones, I'm not surprised. Okay, the Rams
got all kinds of injuries. They're gonna be I don't
know what they're gonna do this year. They got they
got injuries all over the place. Okay, yeah, they're out
of it. They had a chance. You can look at
the season. You got cut back, you got pookah tight,
Yeah that might be a puke and what about a
defensive line and pukin on the ball.

Yeah, the Packers, Uh, they're out of it now. They're
too many injuries, the offensive players. So unfortunately for them.
Rams Arount Panthers awful, just terrible. They are a really
really good college football team.

Right and they already have gone to the red rifle

We already know about that story, and that's not a
break in case of emergency you want at all.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Right now, the Giants again, just Daniel Jones, Danny Dimes,
how about Danny Pennies. I mean, we got nothing going
there with the Giants. The Broncos again, nothing there.

right now they're out of this thing, and you're not
necessarily looking at it as this is the season that

their season is.

man up, Will Levis throwing that, throwing some crazy passes
on his knees, throwing interceptions, so that craziness. Right, You
got the Titans. They're again not a team you're expecting
much from. No, and then the Jags.

And the Jags are interesting because I thought that they
had turned the corner.

I really did.

If you remember the playoff game that they came back
against the Chargers, you remember that they were down twenty
eight to nothing or whatever it was, and they made
an unbelievable comeback. But this team is not good, Trevor Lawrence.

He's starting to fall into my category of all right, now,
that category is I keep hearing about you.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
All right, he ain't coming here. Yeah, he ain't showing up.
Is he talented? Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Has he won a playoff game the one you just mentioned,
Credit to him, Yes, day, big time.

That's what I thought they would capitalize on that last year.

But last year they came out of the gate.

recap sure what they got in that playoffs.

The good thing for them is the division there and
somebody's got to win it. So there's there's some hope

record is, right, we win the division we're in, So
there's some hope there. So I'm not you can still
rest your head on that you got a solid quarterback,
rest your head on the fact that again you can
win your division, have a shot. But he is falling
in my all Right, now I keep hearing y'all talk

about it, I'm gonna need to see that next step up.
He's in your top eight, top seven, top six quarterbacks.
It's like, all right, now he's got to show me.
But now we got a couple of teams left. Woymen
got the Colts. Don't forget all right?

Where are you on them? Owing to I actually am not.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I'm optimistic on them futuristically this season. You know they're
not gonna be great, but I actually like what they're
building there. The running game with Taylor. You already know
what he's gonna do. Give it the ball more. Actually,
by the way, I like what I'm saying with Richardson
as far as it getting the talent level.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
He's gonna start putting it together.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I mean, man through a dag near ninety nine yard
pass all through the air, and they had a chance
to win the game as well well. So I'm thinking
with the Colts, even if I'm a fan, I'm optimistic
moving forward, right, I'm saying not this year, but you

We talk about the Panthers.

Panthers, Rob, It's not that you're losing it's can I
be excited. I see what's coming right. I like this
young roster, and I think Colts fans feel that way.
We've been in these games. We had a chance. I
like what we're seeing. We had a bunch of talent.
So maybe you're optimistic moving forward. This is not the season,
but again, somebody does have to win that division, no doubt.

But so far Richardson where we have four interceptions and
three touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
But you still see him and you go, ooh, he
puts it together. You know he lost last season with
the injury. He's still getting his you know, getting his
feet under him. You see the talent. He could run.
He's big, he's strong, he's mobile. You hope he stays
healthy obviously, but you start to see, ooh, we have
a running game kind of similar to what we were
just talking about with from earlier with the Eagles and
having that all right, maybe our approach is running right.

You got Richardson running obviously, want to say out, and
then you got Taylor running similar it hurts and Saquan
so maybe you get at least some optimism.

Rob like, all right, we got something brewing there. Now
the other two teams I'm sorry. I know they were
on two. I expect both of them to make the playoffs.
And we're talking about the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals had the Chiefs beat they did, they just did.
Why didn't not running the ball at the end? I
do not understand. I just these coaches what like they

coached themselves out of games at the end, Like it happens.

How in the world do they give up that game

Yeah, but you could also argue the Ravens could have
beat the Chiefs too if somebody didn't have a swollen toe.

Then they beat the Kansas City Chiefs. And I guess
you gotta also give credit to the Chiefs, by the way,
who keep finding ways to.

Right, we keep get calls I'm sorry, you go, hey,
call you got it first of all to get these
quote unquote Patriot calls. You want to give them that
you gotta win something, right, you gotta just the Warriors
or the Patriots. The common denominator is they keep winning
and winning rings. So therefore maybe they do get the
benefit of these calls. But the chief keep finding ways
to win. Because the Chiefs because we could. We said

the Bengals should have had them beat We say the
Ravens should had him beat. We talked about the Bills
could have had him beaten several playoff games. But they
keep finding ways to win. But I think we're both
big on the Bengals and the Ravens. Would be interesting though,
is you look at the Ravens. The last time they
went zho and two was back in John Harball was
back in twenty fifteen.

They did not make the playoffs. But I think we
both agree.

They can look at their own their mistakes and say,
we beat ourselves, right, and obviously the other team has
to win the game, But they can look at this
optimistically and say, you know what, We're gonna write the ship.
We have something special in an MVP in Lamar Jackson.
Derek Henry's only gonna get more, and he.

Played better in Week two right, I mean, so that
was I thought they had the game control.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
They were up by like ten or whatever.

Derrick Henry was balling, running looking like Derrick Henry of
oh King Henry up in this thing, and then you
stopped giving them the ball.

And it reminds me of what they did last season
in the AFC Championship game.

Were they I think the running backs had four runs
in that game. They led the league in rushing, you know,
rushing attempts, and when they when they rushed for I
can't remember what the number was they had, like when
they rushed the ball twenty times or some number like that.
They only lost one game all year, and they went

You start playing not to lose. And there's the difference
when you're playing not to lose versus we playing our game.

to win. This is what we're gonna do. This is
how we know, this is we're successful. You start to
play not to lose, right, and scare of money as
you do don't make any money, and so that's what

they did. Then they start running the game with Derek Cary.
He's like, why why do you go get arguably the
most dominating, most punishing running back in the last seven
eight years?

Why do you go get him and then not use him?

They were trying to figure it out, and you got Lamar,
who's an all time great. This guy's won two MVPs
and only got one time didn't get a vote. And
both of those MVPs, I mean two, almost unanimous twice,
which is mind boggling because Brady was the only one
with a unanimous MVP and now Lamar has.

Two with just one vote. Quickly before we break here,
who do you if it came up? Because they're both
in the AFC, so maybe they both can't make it.
If it comes out of the Bengals and the Ravens,
who you got? Now, I'm going with the Ravens because
I got the Ravens going to the Super Bowl. Yeah,
I like the Ravens too much. I'm a Joe Burrow. God,
I think he's tremendous. We've seen what he's done.

Like he reminds me I call him the uh the
Aaron Judge of the NFL.

Like he's hurt a lot.

So so you know you're kind of like, well, what

If you got to pick one of these two teams,
I'm going with the Ravens. I trust kind of what
they do, their system better. But the Bengals are right there.
I wouldn't want to play either of them in the postseason.

And have we missed somebody? Are we overlooking another team
that maybe you think can overcome an ohero and two
start in the NFL and make some noise or make
the playoffs.

do believe that they will eventually get it figured out.

going to come back and win because and make the
playoffs because the Raiders lost, no disrespects to robb G

but they're not going anywhere. And the New England Patriots
that conference loss shouldn't hurt the Bengals. But that referee
throwing that flag was was atrocious. You would pull a
flag on every single hail Mary in that Cincinnati Bengals game,
Like there's more contact on hail Mary's than on that
plate that set up the Chiefs for that field goals.

So you know the the Chiefs have the reps in
their back pockets. But I think the Bengals and the
Ravens are gonna both pull out there.

But a couple of the points we're going back to
these Ravens. I think most of us seem to agree
that the Ravens have a shot and you know, to
get back, get things right.

Because we've seen it before, right.

And I mean, they didn't get blown out their first
two games. They they made mistakes at the end of
both of those games that they could have won. I mean,
they could have beat the Chiefs and they didn't do that.
And then they were winning this game and gave up
thirteen points to a Raiders team in the fourth quarter
at home. I mean, how often is that gonna happen?

And I think the Raiders didn't expect to win. They
call we win, that we won, we won. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
I think also we believe in the Ravens in the
fact that, to their credit, they have an identity. We
know what they do. We've been seeing it year in
year out. When they play their absolute best, they're gonna win.
I don't have the schedule, I have to pull it
up quick in front of me. But Lamar Jackson is
like twenty and one or something against the NFC, so
I meaning they're gonna have some games where he clear
is just gonna win because he's simply playing the NFC.

And but I do want to go back to I
want to say it was in this if I'm not
mistaking the call, I don't agree with. Why isn't Justin
Fields gonna keep playing this way? It's not like he's
doing anything spectacular, No, he's but.

He's still you're right, Yeah, but he turns the ball
over a lot in Chicago.

But I do you see do you see what's going
on with Kayler Williams, who we all agree is a
better quarterback than Justin Fields. Do you see what's going
under pressure, getting mob getting jump, getting sacked, running for
his life, trying to make magic happen. Because he has
a choice, Justin Fields has the potential to say, oh wow,
all I have to do is make the right play.

Similarly to Ben Roethlisberger, Ben Roethlisberger's first year, Big Ben
wasn't lighting you up. He just was handing off the
ball to the backs fast. Willie Parker and Jerome bettis
making a play here there and trusting that defense. And
I look at Justin Fields, I'm like, dude, perfect kind
of guy for what they don't what they need him
to do. Third and five, go run for it if
you get a chance, If a little quick, nice little pass.

Make it it's not there. Trust our defense, take a sack,
throw it out of the mounts. So I think Justin
Fields might actually surprise me.

protect him. I want to see them now, no AYJ.

but again, somebody does have to win that division, no doubt.

having that all right, maybe our approach is running right.

so maybe you get at least some optimism.

two games. They they made mistakes at the end of
both of those games that they could have won. I mean,

thirteen points to a Raiders team in the fourth quarter
at home. I mean, how often is that gonna happen?

And I think the Raiders didn't expect to win. They
call we win, that we won, we won. Yeah.

I think also we believe in the Ravens in the
fact that, to their credit, they have an identity. We
know what they do. We've been seeing it year in
year out. When they play their absolute best, they're gonna win.
I don't have the schedule, I have to pull it
up quick in front of me. But Lamar Jackson is
like twenty and one or something against the NFC, so
I meaning they're gonna have some games where he clear
is just gonna win because he's simply playing the NFC.

And but I do want to go back to I
want to say it was in this if I'm not
mistaking the call, I don't agree with. Why isn't Justin
Fields gonna keep playing this way? It's not like he's
doing anything spectacular, No, he's but.

on with Kayler Williams, who we all agree is a

all I have to do is make the right play.

Similarly to Ben Roethlisberger, Ben Roethlisberger's first year, Big Ben
wasn't lighting you up. He just was handing off the
ball to the backs fast. Willie Parker and Jerome bettis
making a play here there and trusting that defense. And
I look at Justin Fields, I'm like, dude, perfect kind
of guy for what they don't what they need him
to do. Third and five, go run for it if
you get a chance, If a little quick, nice little pass.

Make it it's not there. Trust our defense, take a sack,
throw it out of the mounts. So I think Justin
Fields might actually surprise me.

protect him. I want to see them now, no AYJ.
