With just one pill of lead provides up to twelve
hours of paying relief so you can keep it moving.
(01:55):
Make sure you use as directed. All right, So let's
talk some NFL and some more younger quarterbacks were talking
about Kayle Williams last hour, let's talk about Dylan Gabriel
and how he is.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
He had got We got to see him finally.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
You know, I've been dealing with that hamstring injury for
a little bit there, so we got to see him
perform in his preseason debut, and a lot of folks
kind of he kind of I've been saying that he
had kind of been under the radar because all of
the conversations was about Schadure.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Yeah, but he had one hundred and forty three yards.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
He fumbled through an interception that kind of wasn't in
his interception, but you know, obviously he's gonna go in
his stats. But and by the way, I got to
give him some credit through some lasers, dough some darts.
He looked good throwing some of those passes in the
tight coverage and a lot of his.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
I think you you've been high on are you like that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
A lot of folks who said, man, that's what he
can do. So he did the best that he could there.
But of course it wouldn't be sports in twenty twenty
five if it wasn't for the other stuff. You thought
we was gonna talk about him. Man, it's a great
players performing again, job, he did a job here. You
look at him, he was he was one hundred and
forty three yards. He was thirteen for eighteen seventy two percent.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Nah Na duh. It was what happened off the field
that everybody talking. Here's what he had to say.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
You know, there's there's entertainers, and there's competitors, and I
totally understand that, and my job is to compete, and
that's what I'm focused on doing.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Of course, we're doing.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
This mid game, but you know it's something that I'll
get used to and just want to be the best
team that I can and create an environment where we
can all go do our best work. That's all we
want to do.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
And social media lit your boy dealing Gabriel up. They
had a bunch to say about that. What you taking
shots at? Who should do? What we doing here? And
hold on dealing Gabriel to say, hold hold on, this
is what I meant by this is what.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I meant all about our team.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
You know what I mean and each other. I would
never make that, and I've said it before.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
It's why it's interesting, But for me, it's I've explained
that entertainers are you all competitor. That's what I am
and all my teammates and we both have So that's it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
And then social media debates have becut, Oh my god,
people wanted to know was he taking shots at your door?
Who he is competing with to be the number two?
If your name was Kevin Washington and you were the coach,
you'd be competing for maybe being the starter. That's just me.
We'll get to that in a minute. Because they also
named Joe Flacco as quarterback one. We'll talk about that
in a little bit. No surprise there, but I do
(04:24):
have my points. I love to get your thoughts on
that as well. But this is my thing with the
Dylan Gabriel. Look, I do not believe that he was
talking about your door. I wish you was talking about
your door because I can light into him.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
I could have a big old thing.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Oh, when the competition's on, you already throw your man
under the bus. When the competition the lights are on.
This is how you handled I would have loved to
go on that route. But the more I have reason
to take a break and don't have to just go
by with social media telling me I gotta say, And
the more you dissect and God forbid, do a little research.
You realize, Dylan Gabriel has said this before. You know
how folks have their mantras. This is my thing I
(05:03):
stand on, This is the thing I believe him. Being
a quarterback, you can tell he takes the position seriously.
You can tell he wants to be good at the podium.
And this is one of those things he's mentioned before.
And he was talking about entertainers. He was talking about
people like me and you. Yeah, because you on this
side now on the field, no more care. You ain't
if I did both, stay focused.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
You ever hear it now?
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Nobody want to hear about that. I'll bring it up
later when you played, But right now you ain't us. Yeah,
And so this is him, say what you know? That's
that coach speak that QB once speak. Right, well, locked in,
this is what we do. It's all about us. We're
only worried about our locker room and we can only
control the controllables and all those mantras and sayings and
cliches you say.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
And so that's what he was doing.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
But it was another lesson learned of you being podium
ready in high school, you being podium ready in college.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Is different than the pros. You being podium ready is
different than the pros.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
You being the guy you know historically in college is
a lot at Oregon and at Orgon has been a
very successful program in the last twenty thirty years, but
it's hit different than being in Cleveland and in the NFL,
where there's already controversy.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
They've been successful, but we don't know any of their
players exactly.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
And now you're in a position where we are waiting.
We are watching what Joe Flacco gonna say. Is he
gonna say, I don't care about these young and I'm
trying to do me? What's Kenny Pick? No, actually, nobody
cares about Kenny Pick. What is Dylan Gaber're gonna do?
Or say what is should do? Or Deon Sanders gonna say?
We're all watching this soap opera. And he threw out
a little fuel to add to the fire. And there
(06:37):
is a lesson to be learned with that. And I
think again, while he was well groomed and you know,
and and and was ready to be again that podium
ready guy at at Oregon, welcome to the pros. And
just like the pro game is different and the speed
is different, and the pace in which they play is different,
and that that that linebacker I used to escape forward
is running the four to three. Now it hit different.
(07:00):
SOA does all the drama and everything that comes with it.
So he was trying to avoid entertainers, and by the
little Freudian slip there, he threw some fuel to the entertainers.
And now we're having these conversations and instead of what's
on the field, and we're gonna get back to that
what's on the field, because I do want to talk
about Joe fla o QB one.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
But what's your thoughts on Dylan?
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Yeah, no, you said you said a lot there about
the vacuum that's the NFL and.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
The vacuum that's Cleveland right now. It's insane.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
So anything that happens or anything that's said, obviously it's
going to be amplified, right, And so I don't think
you have to watch what you say. I think I
think there's like a misconception with that for athletes, right,
as long as you're yourself, I think people are gonna
love you or hate you regardless. Take for example, Marson
Lynch his interviews and stuff he did when he was
(07:52):
talking to the media, he was solely himself. Either you
liked it or you hated it, right, but being in
between and doing the politically correct thing when especially nowadays
with the coverage that they have in the NFL, you're
not going to win anyway. So for me, I would
tell any player that's going through training if I was
giving them training. Obviously there are things in their team
(08:15):
principles that your team stands by, So there are things
you have to operate when it comes to that. But
when it comes to you and you trying to get
yourself or get your point across to whoever it is
outside of your team, just be you because everything you
say is going to be picked apart anyway. So if
as long as you're being yourself and you can live
with what you're saying and what's going on, do that
(08:37):
you don't have to worry about having the Freudian slip
at that point, right, Like, No, I meant what I said,
and I don't have to go back on and you
know I've said that this is who I am. So
I think that's the part about media and kids and
these guys, this new age NFL with so much coverage
around it, Well, I think that you know what happens, though.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
I think that comes with getting burned a couple of
times like this where you start to say screw it. Yeah,
I say I love s. Y'all can say no, you
don't exactly. I say I hate Sha. Do you say,
see he hate her? So I might as well stand
on business and say what I believe. And I believe
and stand on that. And I think that comes from
getting bird. So I think he's gonna learn that I'm
gonna say what I mean and mean what I say regardless.
(09:14):
And obviously he did in his case, but I ain't
gonna be doing a lot of backtracking, right And honestly
it took you know me. You I may be different
because like maybe for you it was being the player
and they were interviewed you you're a player now again.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
You're former player.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
I'm a player now now okay, And maybe they were
asking you questions and you were trying to do the
perfect little thing, or maybe it's now you on this
side of things or being interviewed as an artist and whatnot,
and I had to learn this. You know, we're doing
this on a mic. Well, I don't want to offend.
And maybe it's like man, this, hey, this is how
I feel, This is what I believe, This is my opinion, right,
and you have to be comfortable because right now somebody's
gonna say, man, you're crazy to hate you. Somebody else
is gonna say, man, you one thousand psia rate. You
(09:48):
want to be exactly saying what you believe, standing on
that and it be what it is.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
Say what you mean so nobody else can take it
out of context.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
One hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
So with that being said, though, Dylan, Gabriel and now
should do as well. Both look solid, Gabriel throwing an
interception pick six, yeah, and also fumbling which was absolutely
his fault, but overall played pretty well, as did Shaudure.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
He played really well.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
So now you come out after that when both the
week prior should door this week is Gabriel Dylan and
now they say Joe Flacco's QB one, which was to
be expected. We all thought that. My thought intake has
been this. This is where Rob and I disagree, and
you can I want to get your thoughts on it.
I'm straight on the recyclables. I'm straight on going back
(10:36):
to my old girl that on the left started again
left damn passed on and now I'm going back to
her again when I know what it's gonna be. We're
gonna have a good six weeks and then I'm gonna
be pulling my hair out again and wanting to get
on and move on.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
That's Joe Flacco. You're gonna have a good six weeks.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
You're gonna be six and eleven with Joe Flacco and
three weeks in a row where.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
You like see it.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
So what I'm talking about baby playoffs, and then you're
gonna go, why is this dude starting similar to Indianapolis?
Speaker 4 (11:09):
And then you can to me.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
My whole point is, I'd rather start if it's Dylan, fine,
let's get the Dylan Gabriel train rolling. If it's your door,
which I'd rather be because you just from the fan,
I don't know why or not. I'd be embracing the
fan fare. Fans are all in well, he's got the
number two.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Jersey.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Ratings were up more people to watch the preseason game
than ever for the Browns. I'm rolling into that. I'm
loving it. We got a guy and he's young, so
that there's potential as long as he's progressing Carrie throughout
the season, and even if we only go six and eleven.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
But I see where we're going.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Alah, you mentioned Peyton Manning last hour, and I'm not
saying you do a boy Peyton. One point is to me,
I'd rather that with the young guy. And let's say
your door sucks and he goes, oh for six is
just looking horrible? Yeah, yep, Dylan, you out buddy, right.
I don't get to recycling Joe old coole. I already
know what that is. Well, and he's two years removed
(12:11):
from taking y'all the postseason. He took you to postseason.
You let him go. Y'all said, thanks for note things,
get out of here, and then you spun the block
back and you want to get that to me, I
don't see what the advantage is when I don't see
it's going to be a winning scenario. And again, these
quarterbacks are coming in with a bunch of starts. Yep,
coming in ready, Shadoor is about is. I'm not saying
(12:33):
he's going to be great right off the bet. What
I'm saying is experience wise, well, Kelvin, it's a lot
of things.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Right. So number one, number one Flocko.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
They sent fluck away at the demand of Deshaun Watson's team,
so they didn't want to get rid of him. They
wanted to keep him Milk. There was a reason for that.
So that's Number one why he left. Number two. All
that sounds good throwing those guys in there, But and
I think the expectations for the Cleveland Browns on the outside,
it's pretty low because they're in a tough, tough division.
(13:05):
You know, they had a down season last year. But
I think the core of that team is really good
and I think they can compete and I think they
can win a lot of games this year. Debate, right,
but I think they have that talent. So you have
a quarterback that took you to the playoffs a year
and two years ago, and you know what you're gonna
get from.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Him with the team that's right, Yeah, you do.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
You know you already said he's gonna he's gonna be
he's gonna have three weeks where he's playing great and
he's gonna win three games for you and maybe he
loses one, but you know he can win games for you.
So you have a team that's ready. You have a
team that's ready, and they're gonna give them. There's themselves.
The best chance to win. And also we don't know
the least for their head coach, Kevin Stefanski either. So
(13:47):
if he's in the win now situation, you're not going young.
You're going with a guy that can get the job done.
So there's a lot of things around. See, everybody always
says that. To me, it's the opposite. It's the opposite.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
It's not it's not just win with the You know
Joe Flack, he's an older vet and he's won before.
Let me roll out the dice with him. To me,
I think of something else and I'll tell you that.
We'll we get the other side. It is The Odd

Timothy Parker coming up in about six or seven minutes.
Talk to him about some football and little baseball, all
things happening around LA with the Rams Chargers Dodgers as well,
(15:41):
looking forward to that you were saying, Carrie, you asking me,
or you were mentioning Stefanski, feeling like the best way
to win win now you could be on the hot
seat is with Joe Flacco. And I get that, but
I also feel like we often say that, and I
all feel like if you get the young guy who's
building something done, that buy you an excuse, like, look,
(16:02):
we're coming. You know, we won the last two three
games of the season, crowds enthusiastic, he's starting to get it,
Like I'm telling you next year, another off season, a
couple of pickups here and there who were about to
do and always felt like, why wouldn't that buy me time? Meaning, look,
this is a young guy. This is just a beginning.
You don't even know what's about to come. We on
our way. It's like, why me looking man with Joe Flacco?
(16:27):
Why does that buy me a year?
Speaker 4 (16:28):
You gee what I mean?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Why me going five and twelve to eight and nine?
If you will, woul Joe Flacco buy me here? Whereas
to me, if I'm brewing stuff is looking good, we're
heading in the right direction. With whether it be Gabriel
or whether it be Schaudure, it wouldn't that people have
always said that I don't get to help me.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
I get what you're saying. But this is a hypothetical.
Though they're in the room, they're there every day. Okay,
they know what they have and they know what their
goals and their expectations are. Right, Yes, just because our
expectations for the Browns aren't high doesn't mean that they
don't feel that they have a team that can go
out and win a super Bowl right now. Obviously, obviously
that's probably not happening. But if you have those internal
(17:11):
goals and those internal uh that internal vision with with
the players that you have, and you think that Flaco
is the guy that can steer that ship and give
you a puncher's chance in the playoffs, you're gonna take that.
Because the hypothetical thing where look what we can have
in the next couple of years just doesn't doesn't work
in the NFL. It's just not that's not the business
for hypotheticals at all.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
We'll go get Joe Flacko, and you better get Mako
while you're at it as well, all of them. All right,
let's take We'll go out to Dick and Dayton, which
sounded crazy. We go out to Dayton, Ohio. This is
the Eye Couple Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
What's up? Really?
Speaker 9 (17:46):
I like your story what you said, But I've watched
the first exhibition with thessander and then gamebro. I mean,
what didn't improve? But they just came there and just
I mean, you know, last year, WAS was hoping they
would do good. But I'm surprised.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
I was.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
You know, they're starting Flacco, but in the defense look good.
I think we have promise and hope this year. Guys.
I think if we you know, just concentrate, you know,
the offensive defense, it's kind of neat to see it,
you know when you watch it on the TV A
little bit, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Yeah, the best part he said, look, you know, good
good teams. We got a chance care long and the
coach is coaching absolutely as long as the GM is GM,
and we got to and the fans and everybody else
and the TV is TV and and everything.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
Wait, why do we sign it?
Speaker 3 (18:38):
We start turning the camera and I keep the computer's
puting right, So no, but again, I just I just
I'm just not a to me. Forty year old Joe Flacco,
who's already been I understand it. He knows the says
to him, he's been here, he's he's been with the organization.
I totally get that, right. But I feel like maybe
it's maybe you know, being naive, but I just feel
(19:01):
like I'm seeing the teams that we are looking at
and feeling confident in or at least like, oh, some
nice optimism even at Atlanta. Michael Pennix Junior like all right,
got something coming, yep. I think it's to me when
you kind of have that that that you got to
c J. Shrouds right coming. You got the Jaden Dan,
you got the bow Knicks. You know, you got the
(19:22):
I mean Pax mahomes a little different because alexmiss and
thenybody's like you got to go bro exactly, you're.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Playing good, but we got to But he wasn't. Forty.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
That is not the point. No, that is the point.
Joe Flatt goes forty. I'm not Usually when we say
stuff like that on one and a half leer, I
can't argue with you. Usually when we say forty, we're exaggerating.
In sports Man, he's like forty years old. Joe fo
is forty years old, and I know forty is a
little different in the NFL different now, but my gosh,
(19:52):
like that's the guy. And it's like with Aaron Rodgers
thing of like this is how you know, And it
goes back to what you were saying, like if you're
if you're with Aaron Rodgers and then the Steelers, just
I show hole, we can win a game in the
postseason exactly, and I'm.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Like, that's what it is. That's what it is. I
hope we can win a game.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
You're the Steelers, but I don't think and I'm like, dude,
but I hope we can win a playoff going to
playoff run and get to the super Bowl, Kelvin. They
are saying that this is this is where the misconception
comes in that for I think everybody, they are saying
they're gonna win the super Bowl. This is our projections
(20:34):
and what we think about what they did and what
you know.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
The people steel are saying by the winning super Bowl,
they went all in right, like why else would they
be doing it?
Speaker 3 (20:43):
That's my win a playoff game and it's not that
absolutely not you you play, your plans.
Speaker 10 (20:52):
Are coming on, your helmet is coming on that's my point.
Jersey is descending, I'm sweating everything. It's this no, because
that's the thing. I can't hear you right now. You
got a mouth guard in Kelvin.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
That's it, Kelvin, Like, yes, they are saying we're gonna
win the Super Bowl. We have a team that went
to the playoffs last year with Russell Wilson. They think
they upgraded that position at the quarterback position, and they
brought in upgrades all over.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
They brought and John lu Smith at the tight end.
Speaker 6 (21:18):
They're gonna run twelve person they all and spread you out,
run the ball, play action like the game plan and
what they have in store for teams this year.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
There's no question. They say they're gonna win a super Bowl.
That's the that's their goal.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
And Cleveland isn't saying we're gonna be six and eleven
with Flacko like we're trying to win.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
So that's the thing. I apologize and thank you, Oh
not to you.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
I apologize that I'm being a realist to the cities
of Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Don't listen to me, then I'm
sorry because you're six and eleven Cleveland, and you are
nine and eight Pittsburgh. Ooh, say look at you and
guess what we're gonna say?
Speaker 4 (21:54):
What's up? Mike Tomlin had another winning season.
Speaker 2 (21:58):

Speaker 3 (22:10):
It is the on couple kelvin Washington and also my
man Carrie Rose and for Ron Parker on this Magic
City Monday. And we're getting ready to be joined right
now by my man Timothy Parker. He is from a
reporter with Spectrums Networks and I was telling you earlier,
my guy, we always get to do some great work
on Spectrum News one as well.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
TIMOTHYTP what's up.
Speaker 9 (22:30):
Man, what's going on?
Speaker 11 (22:32):
How do you guys doing?
Speaker 3 (22:33):
We're doing great, tim tim has had the chance to
h He's been covered the Rams during the training camp,
also spent some time with the Dodgers as they got
had that series with the Padres, and he's very familiar
with the Charger as well. So we'll touch on Timothy
all the kind of things that are happening around here
in Los Angeles sports. I want to start with the
obvious one is that Matthew Stafford practiced for the first
time during training camp period. Let me be first time period,
(22:56):
not in the first time this week, last week, in
a couple of weeks, first time peroderiod. And Sean McVay
said that he looked good practicing, but that that that's
basically it. He had no other updates. We don't really
know much of what's been going on. Tell us what
you know and what kind of what you've been hearing
with the RAMS.
Speaker 11 (23:12):
Well, here's what I know. So I was there at
the first day of training camp was mid July, and
Sean McVay is out there talking about Stafford, and we
don't know what to deal with with Matthew Stafford. All
we know is that he didn't practice. So but he's
a be out there in a few days. He's be
(23:32):
out there, you know, by the end of the week.
Since then, I have traveled to three different cities, had
a vacation off coast and back, and Matthew Stafford still
has in practice up until today. So that has some
modern questions. How did they go from four days until
three weeks later and he still did in practice. That's
(23:55):
a big calls concern and even today he didn't. If
you saw any video of him out there running onto
the field, he wasn't fry. I mean, he's not a
spry guy anyway. He looked like he was laboring just
to get on the field. So there's a lot of concern.
And then is he going to be healthy throughout the
rest of the practice before the season. So we really
don't know what's going with Matthew Stafford. So was this
(24:17):
just a photo wop or was he really good to go?
Speaker 6 (24:20):
Yeah, Tim that that would be my follow up question
on this is checking the temperature the temperature of the room.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
Right.
Speaker 6 (24:26):
Obviously they're going to protect Stafford right now and McVeigh
is going to play it, you know, play it close
to the vest. But do you sense that there's any
any worry about if he's not healthy, who's going to
be that number two guy or that starter that takes
place right now and he's and is he on the
roster or somebody else in the streets that they can
look at that can possibly feel that void.
Speaker 11 (24:46):
Oh, he's on the roster. If Matthew Stafford is not
ready for opening day, which Seawn mcvag did not commit
to today when they asked him about y'all. You know, like,
is he going to be Opening day start? He was like, well,
we'll cross that road, but we get there. That's not
something that's gonna give you constant, right, And at a
forty year old quarterback getting ready for he's a big
(25:10):
piece of what could be a Super Bowl puzzle. Now
they do, they do have Jimmy Garoppolo serviceable backup, maybe
even a good backup. Ironically, the thing about Garoppolo when
he was with Devonte Adams in Oakland, I mean Las Vegas,
forgive me, and there wasn't a lot of love loss
(25:31):
all of a sudden, if Stafford's not ready, they'll be
back together again, Garoppolo and Devonte Adams.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
He is Timothy Parker Border with Spectrum Networks. And we're
obviously talking about the Rams there and you mentioned it.
There are a lot of expectations, man, m because Matthew
Stafford was a drive away from taking him to the
Super Bowl in a cold, horrible, snowy game and overall
played pretty well, and so I think people are kind
of looking up like, man, this RAMS team, they could
(25:57):
mess around and do something. And you even got Dak
Prescott saying I'll see you an NFC championship game. We said,
you will, You'll be like maybe watching it like the
rest of us.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
If they can come to my house, coming house. Yeah,
we were talking about wings and fed.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
You have Dak Prescott over hey he paying though, Oh,
he definitely definitely paying. But with that being said, I
want I want to switch gears to the other team
in l a little bit. The Chargers man Timothy just
Jim Harball year two. Some say right where they should
have been. Some say overachieved, you know, last season, able
to get into postseason. What are you seeing from them
anything you're thinking they're going to be doing differently? Are
(26:33):
they going to continue to play hardball style the ball,
run the ball a lot and let Justin Herbert be
effective but doesn't have to carry the team.
Speaker 11 (26:41):
Oh. I think it was a good thing for them
to finally admit Behead a problem at receiver. So if
they got Keenan Allen back, that's a big thing for
Justin Herbert. It gives him some comfort, especially with Rashawn
Slater being out. That's a big deal to have some
comfort for Justin Herbert to have Keenan Allen. Because yes,
(27:02):
they're gonna run the ball, they had. They drafted Omario Hampton.
He's gonna get a Buckley carries Najie Harris whenever he
gets healthy, he's gonna be out there as well. But
to have your comfort zone like Keenan Allen is huge
because because also in that preseason game, they actually played
their starters the first quarter, and Quentin Johnson, the first
(27:25):
round draft picked from a couple of years ago, got
was laid out with a concussion, and this it may
be his final year to actually prove he can do
something in the NFL. I don't know if Jim Jim
Harball loves him, you know what I mean, So this
may be his final chance to prove anything. But they
do have mcconclei out there and Adam Kenon Allen is
(27:49):
crucial to give Herbert some confidence and you have somebody
to throw the ball to.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Dam you you went right where I was going again here.
I mean, obviously the Chargers habit team that I think
can compete and probably and has a chance to win
that division. But their wide receiver play has to be better.
And so we talked about Quentin Johnson. You had a chance.
I know that ball is a little high and you
have to reach up and get it. He should get it.
He's a big guy, Like, throw that ball up and
(28:14):
let him go get it. And he's not coming down
with those contested catches, Like what's do you do? You
know what the problem is with him? When he gets
in games, it looks like he's a little he's a
little finicky. But I need I need a little bit
more clarification on that.
Speaker 11 (28:29):
I mean, he's a he's a big body receiver, yep,
you know, decent speed, all that type of stuff. But
it just hasn't come together. And you got to remember
from year one to year two, you hear your switching staffs.
So now not only did you not have a good
rookie season, now you have Jim Harball coming in there
have learned a whole new system and he's not even
(28:50):
focused on the past. So what does that do for
somebody like him? And now he's even taking a step
back to, like I said, labor concrete and that's not good.
And then they took for the Chargers to have to
bring Keenan Allen back. What does they say about their
trust in Kwyn Johnson is not much there? But this
is going to be the making or break a year.
(29:12):
I think it's going to have to prove he can
do it or not. Hopefully he's healthy. Like I said,
he suffered a concussion in the preseason game on Saturday night,
so we'll see, you know, how you recovers from that,
and if he can prove it is worth in his offense.
This is a big, big position for the team because
there are no jokes AFC West anymore. Every team is
(29:36):
above defense, whether it's Pete Carroll with the Raiders, the
brock Colt made the playoffs last year, and of course
you know what you have in the Kansas City Chiefs,
so you can't be fousing around anymore in the AFC West.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Yeah, those wins are gonna be hard to come by.
Like you said, this ain't the Raiders of old where
you got that's two wins right there. Yeah, you're gonna
have to really beat these teams out real quick. Tim
Forrest really got less about a minute or so. You
were at the first game of the series, Dodgers Padres
and they got another one coming up again. But just
how big was it for the Dodgers to get on
the winning side of things and and kind of find
(30:08):
their stride against a team that had been chasing them
down and took the lead in the division, and somebody
that's looking at the towards the postseason as well.
Speaker 11 (30:16):
Obvious a sweep is like overly you couldn't you can
act for anything better than that for the Dodgers. But
to me, the bigger thing is the pitching. Cursall was
out there pitching like a wizard because you don't got
that fastball no more. So for him to do what
he did was huge. We gave them six innings and
(30:36):
that wins huge. But Blake Snell, yeah, shutting them out
and if you can if this rotation comes back healthy
with Snell Glass now Cursaw, Old Timy in it. I
don't know how much Old turns going to pitch the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
They got to pitch them some for sure.
Speaker 11 (30:54):
All of a sudden, you gotta lights our rotation. Maybe
you don't need to depend on the offense like you
thought you would before. Maybe you can let Max monthly mix,
Mounsey get healthier and Mookie backs final rhythm again, it's
not so much pressure. If this pitching staff looks like
to pitch the staff we thought it would be in March.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Well, as you mentioned, MOOKI is at the bat right now,
like with showe, Hey already all got a nice single.
Let's see what he can do. He's talking, he's oh
he almost took a pitch to face. All right, Yeah, that's.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
No worries tonight, No worries tonight.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Seventhing man. Appreciate your brother as always, Thank you so much,
Yes sir, all right, Tim, all right, we got a
new We've been talking about quarterbacks. There's a little bit
happening now with the giants. Who should start who shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Just becoming Carry Rose is April Rob dropping a new
singles on us. Calvin Washington can't up live for myself
Carrie Rose twenty five, Carrie.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Twenty five, Rod for him social, I'm gonna let it
rock for another few seconds.
Speaker 5 (32:45):

Speaker 4 (32:50):

There you got the new single dance taking will be
hurt touch and uh I've seen people riding round still
by the way, some are still going. People back and
like fall just because kids go high school still got
summer That summer top down vibes right there. Yeah, you
can see Rob Parker dropping the top on that. I'm
a woman, what what a what a woman that? Uh,
you know, finally graduated his class. You can now it
(33:26):
can be us. You left the class. It's a sideways id.
It's not for me, not for me?
Speaker 4 (33:31):
All right?
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Uh? Do you have summer plans speaking of? If they

find the right role, just call your local Express employment
professionals go to expresspros dot com and Express never charge
the job seekers a fee. And now it is time
for your Express pro of the Week and the Pro
the Week goes to Giants quarterback Jackson Dart was throwing
(33:52):
them darts too, by the way. He's throwing for two
hundred ninety one yards and acounted for three touchdowns across
his first two preseason games. Clearly been the best quarterback
in this rookie class. By the way, we just haven't
really discussed him so far. And again, congrats to Jackson
Dart for being our Express Pro Pro of the Week.
Causing some controversy out there in your former place in
(34:13):
New York. Different team, but you know what I mean,
a lot of people saying Russell Wilson's gonna be the starter.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Pro guy.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
You know, start off hot with Pittsburgh last year, had
won five in a row whatever it was, and then
ended up losing six in a row ultimately. But he's
the VET, and you want to give yourself a chance,
as we discussed with Joe Flacco, as the Steelers are
doing with Aaron Rodgers bringing the old guy. We got
a chance. He knows he's a proven veteran Super Bowl
winner as well. Put some respect on his name. Others
are saying, man, Jackson Dart is throwing darts looking great,
(34:42):
and you know, I'm team. If that's your guy, let's go. Yeah,
let's rebuild, let's get this thing going. We ain't playing
in the old school rules where you were taking quarterbacks
heads off, taking off receivers heads you know, it's kind
of more advantageous, more favoring of offenses nowadays.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Just ain't the you know, ten, fifteen.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Twenty, and in even before that years ago, where you
know you could just be crazy and layout quarterbacks. It's
more of a favorable keeping your healthy and giving you
a chance to move the change to me, But where
do you come out? You watch what he's been able
to do over a couple of games, and Russell Wilson,
obviously being Russell Wilson, we know what he is.
Speaker 6 (35:21):
I've been a big Jackson Dark fan since he was
that old miss, and so when he was coming out
in the draft, I was really worried. I was really
anticipating to see where he would end up. Ended up
in New York obviously really good situation for him, being
under Brian dave Ball. Brian dave Balls a quarterback whisperer,
and he is somebody that he pretty much turned Josh
Allen around. Right, So a lot of people forget about that.
(35:43):
He was the old court those seed there with Josh Allen.
First year didn't go well. Second year he got him
up to shape. Right then he did that with Daniel
Daniel Jones for one year. Daniel Jones isn't a good player.
But somebody that.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Did you say isn't a good players? He's not, but
he turned in you just that one might have. I
don't think I've ever known Carry Rose to say something
so blatant.
Speaker 6 (36:03):
So I have not, but I'm very, very adamant about
Daniel Jones and him getting that big contract.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
When he got it, I was like, this is cunny.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Yeah, I was like, you just said, it's so matter
of fact, you know what, Daniel Jones isn't a good player,
and right right, no, But Jackson dart Is and I
he's somebody that I think could be the franchise guy there.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
But the Giants are in the same in the same position.
I think the Browns are in right now. They have
to win if they ball doesn't have a winning season
this year, which they're they're not, you know, in New
York's gonna be tough for them. He's in trouble, so
he doesn't have the time to just throw jackson daughter
out there and see what he got.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
So that's that's what I saw. So you just said
he's gotta win, but he's not. He's not.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Keep throwing me. You're making no sense to me. I
know we ain't gonna win. He go, you know what
he's doing. I don't know if he's married now, but
he's going home and his wife and if he ain't
married and go calling his girlfriend.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
They were gonna suck this year.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
They the Eagles, Dagnar could again. The Book Commanders look
like they're gonna be real. Listen, the Browsing and Giants.
The Cowboys are healthy, so who knows what that's gonna be, right?
The Browsing and Giants are in the same place though
the Giants are. They have a really good defensive line.
I agree, and that's it. But I'm just saying it.
But y'all selling me on were gonna win again?
Speaker 11 (37:16):
Win?
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Hey, babe, how is the season looking?
Speaker 11 (37:19):
So?
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Bab were gonna suck?
Speaker 11 (37:20):
Man?
Speaker 3 (37:21):
We on five right now? But let go turn around.
But let me tell Carrie Roads and then, g golly sucks.
We gotta win this season or I'm on the hot seat. Well,
let me tell you this. You know how when you
turn on the eigh you get like four dots. First
is low all the way up to the highway. We
already on the two or the three out the four hot,
meaning it's already warms a lot of warmth on that
seat medium high right now, it's already like that.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Oh no, it's hot because if y'all talking about he
might be on the hot.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Deman please, and then your answer is is Joe Flacco
or Russell Wilson might as well know you're cooked.
