kelvin Washington, right here on Fox Sports Radio.

That's right the way tire buying should be. Don't forget.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Coming up in about twenty eight minutes, Roy Hibbert, the
former NBA All Star Center he'll love join us.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I love his Twitter you see it. No, Roy meets World.
That's very good.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
And one's gotta go and we're gonna do signature NBA celebrations.
You can't do steph after hitting a game winner, right
like at the end of the game, Like you can't
do that.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Don't you hate that? You now hate little Richard? Yes,
as much as Steph. I'm just kidding. Oh wow, that's hilarious.
All right, m rob G. Can you set the table
for us please? Or you guys touched on it there?
Do you close our number one?

Speaker 5 (01:50):
The big news of the day in the NFL the
Dallas Cowboys got themselves a new offensive weapon, Mercurial Steelers Widers.
He were George Picky, Curial traded to Dallas from MacDonald.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Had a number one hit with that Mercurial.

Speaker 6 (02:06):
Girl right here, girl, I got that?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Did you get right? That's off the top of my head.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
No, we would have been if it was a ninety
seven eighty seven, we would have been horse shot. So
Dak's coming back. CD's there is the number one and
George Pick is the new number two in Dallas.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Are you moved? Did that move it for you? Did
it move you?

Speaker 7 (02:32):
It did?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Okay, I'll tell you why. A couple of reasons. I
think what it was.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
First of all, they have not been moving the last
couple of summers. We talked about it. They've been slow
footing things. The Cowboys. Right, they hold on the CD land,
they wait, they wait, they wait, then they pay them
and then they couldn't get other guys.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
They can't they wait to wait, they don't get Derrick Henry.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
So now they got to spend the block like an
old girlfriend and go get Ezekiel Elliott. So to me,
they're showing me something. They're trying to go get some punch,
get some offense, because to me, they realized a couple
of things. They're looking at Division rob and they're saying,
we gotta keep up with Jade and Daniels and what
they're doing over there in DC with the Commanders, that's
a lot to deal with. And then obviously the reigning

(03:10):
champs who just left the White House not too long ago,
the Eagles, that is a whole bunch to deal with
as well. So we got to compete with that. We
have to keep up. And when we were at our
best was when we had Dak Prescott who was thriving
offensively to the tune of being an MVP candidate and
had his best season. So I think they realized we
have to have more punch. If you saw their offense

(03:31):
last year was CD heavy. If he wasn't going, there
wasn't nothing going, and that gets hard when everybody knows
the only real threat you have is CD Lamb and
CD now can be versatile. He can play in the slot,
he can play on the outside, you can have some
other plays for him. And now you have Pickings, who
really is a Number one on most teams, but now
will probably be at number two. So to me, I
liked it them shoring up this side of the ball,

(03:53):
saying also last point, a lot of their defensive guys
were hurt last year, so maybe they're banking on saying, hey,
we weren't as bad defensively as we thought we were
because we had a lot of guys injured. Three of
our stars were injured. They'll be back, they'll be ready.
Mike's ready, he's probably just finishing the podcast somewhere. And
now we got some offense to really start this thing

(04:14):
up and be able to compete against our own division,
let alone the rest of the NFC, because the NFC
is tough. Now the NFC is going to be really tough,
and so they got to compete with their own division,
the NFC, and I think they want to sure up
as much offense and weaponry for DAK.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah, it didn't move me at all unless they fixed
the defense, which was thirty first last year, and before
he got hurt, he was in those games. Micah played
in that game against Green Bay. They had their full defense.
They got throttled. Didn't look at their first three or
four home games. You know when they started last season awful,
And I get it some of the guys got hurt,

(04:50):
but they weren't hurt the entire year. Neither was Micah
and they were bad and offensively, you know the last
three years when Dak was healthy, they were first, fourth
and first. So offensive hasn't been the issue on why
they haven't gotten it. If you want to stockpile, that's fine,
but without getting defense to stop those other teams you're

(05:12):
talking about. To me, it's a move point, like like
you're you're still gonna wind up losing. And that's why
Kansas City ran into a bus. So why because their
defense Philadelphia was able to stop the quarterback to get
to the quarterback right, Yes, that's what that's what you need,

(05:33):
uh defensively to be able to do counter that is
get at other people and stop them because they have
dynamic offenses. I'm not against pickings going there, but I
didn't go, oh yeah, the Cowboys got to figure it out.
This to me feels like typical Jerry Jones who was
bragging for the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Oh wait, wait till you see we got something coming.
Oh yeah, just wait, dude.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
We've been hearing that they've been spending money on offensive
players for years, okay, like, and their defense was good.
I told you thirty one last year, thirty first last year,
but fifty other two years.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
And we know that. But Dak has already shown.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
But that's why I know you're right. But that's why
I believe they want to get back to that. Hey,
when we have Dak and he has the ability to
have offense, the offensive line is great, he has weapons,
then we can say we're gonna be putting up thirty
thirty five points a game and we can beat that
high of a caliber offense. And I strongly believe they
don't think their defense is as bad as it show.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
They got better towards the end of the season.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
Guys start coming back, and I think they believe if
our defense gets back to what it should be, and
even if it's not fifth, but it's eighth, nine, ten
to twelve, Okay, we're right around there.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
The first third of the league in defense.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
Maybe not the best, but then an offense, we are
a top tier, top two three to four offense.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Then they're competing.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
And I think that's what they're trying to do is
have an ability to score, have an ability did not
just be so ceed reliant, that's all they literally, teams
are lining up, we stop him.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
We're good.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Yeah, but in games that Michael played last year, you're
ready talking about they gave up forty four to the Saints,
twenty eight to the Ravens, thirty four to the Eagles,
thirty four to the Texans, twenty seven to the Bengals,
and forty one to the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Like those are the games that he played in.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Like you could sit there and say, oh, well, these
are the games he actually put.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
They missed the Marcus Lawrence was out, They had a
bunch of people that were out, three or four.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
They missed up the.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Day they all out for the playoff game two at
home against Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Everybody was out to wow, what you made me go
to another year before?

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
No, but I'm asking that was the same. Do not
think I'm saying they're Super Bowl champs.

Speaker 8 (07:37):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
I don't want to sit up here like I'm caping
for the Cowboys. What I'm saying is, I just think
the move for them was like, hey, if we can
go get a guy, you know, we got to give
up some you know, a few picks, but we can
get a number one receiver, who caliber receiver, who's still young,
and we can now pair him with a legit number
one receivers. Okay, So did they win the division by
doing this? No, they got they take a lot to
take a lot to be the Eagles. I'm asking no, No,

(07:59):
the Eagles got this thing on lot for a minute.
They're too strong on both sides of the lines. Man, defense,
offensive line. They're man handling people.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
People were not paying attention to that last year as
we were headed to the Super Bowl. I mean I
just looked at that team that I think it was
going to be a blowout like that. No, but I
did doubt. Did I have a doubt that they were
going to be No, No, no, they them winning wasn't crazy.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
Them winning the way they won is what made that
that whole win crazy and not them winning.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
And the commanders.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
If you're if you're if you're the Cowboys, maybe you believe,
uh you know, maybe the Commanders, not that they're off
sudden gonna be a bad team, but maybe they're not
as great as they were, uh, and we can compete.
But I'm just looking at it as they're looking at
the division, saying, we got to do something. We got
to make some moves because Jaydon Daniels is ridiculously young
and talented, so they might have they got their guy

(08:47):
for years, right we obviously the Eagles. Jalen Hurts looks
like he's their guy for years with the Eagles al
ready and been to two Super Bowls and has won
one in a blowout fashion. So I think this is
them trying to make moves to say, we've got to
compet in our own division before we can even compete
with the Lions and the Packers and some of the
the forty nine ers if they bounce back the Rams

(09:08):
and some of these other teams in the NFC, we
got to worry about our own division.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
So we need to spruce things up.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
And maybe they'll make some more moves because they've been
not they've been slow in making the moves. The last
they all see and they have considering who they are,
and I think this is them realizing if Jerry Jones
trying to win one before we might be singing Mimi
at the crossroads. Then he's got to start making some moves.
And they've finally done so because they've done they've held
on the guys too long. They wouldn't sign guys they've

(09:35):
held off to when they were gonna pay. We're not
gonna pay that. We're not gonna pay that. We're not
gonna pay it. Okay, now we gotta pay him sixty
million versus if they just paid them when they should
have when they thought they wanted to rob.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Now we're paying them forty forty five. Okay, you're gonna
be your quarterback, then there's no reason to wait.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
The dude almost says them not consented. Slow foot around
is what I'll call it too.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Here's your quarterback. And I told Chris this a million times.
I said, they're not convinced. That's why they waited. It
only costs you more money going for the longer you wait,
it does the price doesn't go down because are you
waiting for him that have a terrible year and then
sign up?

Speaker 6 (10:11):
It doesn't it So the only thing, you man, he's
really good.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
But I just feel like man, he's got to be better.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
Okay, now he's better, And then the price went up,
and now he's like I wanted forty eight, now I
want sixty, right.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
And you're sitting a little stupid, Well, he was awful
last year. Maybe you could get him for twenty nine.
I think all you want to sign. I thought he
was awful.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Is he awful?

Speaker 6 (10:31):
Then you don't want him? Well, we know, we I'm
we don't know. So, yeah, Jarry Jones has had needed
to do something. What did Dereck Henry say, Man, I
would love to go back to Texas and play in Texas? Man,
I would just love to be back home. And you know, Cowboys,
they said that they couldn't afford him, and we couldn't
afford him. Well, now look at him balling out of
his mind to the tune of being, you know, one

(10:53):
of the best seasons he's had ever with the Ravens.
And now they've got a guy two headed monster and
he and Lamar Jack. So I think Jerry is behind
his own division is caught up. And now they're third
at best. You know, who knows if the Giants do
anything or not, but they're third at best as we
sit here, the.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Giants might be better with shoud Oh waitmit, they didn't
d draft.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Sorry they didn't draft, should it? That had been too real? Shador,
Jamis and Russell. I told you to have black student
union meetings. I told you before that didn't I tell
you what I tell you?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
You said? They don't normally sign no brother. I'm like,
I'm playing to get three no.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
But I was like, Chador didn't didn't fit into that
equation at all.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
To me, I was I would have been shocked. How
the Giants you know that old joke.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
Man, We don't mind a few I've been here getting
in here. They were trying to make up for their
whole history, signing the whole three of them in a row.
But I thought this was the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore remete,
you're gonna sign some black quarterbacks. The Baltimore Ravens are
gonna keep two black quarterbacks on their stirt. I don't
give a day. And they're like, all right, we need
another brother. Let me see a bit about who's available
right now?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
All right? I guess, uh eight seven seven ninety nine.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
I'm I think it was a move to try to
bolster the offense. To get back to when Dak had
all his weapons, he was at his best, that he
was an MVP candidate. They were competing to win the division,
and I think this is a move that gets some
towards that. With obviously more to be done if they're
trying to beat the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
I'm not moved eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
does the addition of George Pickens put the Cowboys over
the top of the NFC.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
We'll continue that conversation next with you.

Speaker 4 (12:28):

Speaker 6 (13:30):
In the words of Larry June, I know you'll know
that it's a news. It's a little rapper numbers.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
How do you know? I don't know who Larry June is.
Who's Larry June?

Speaker 6 (13:37):
I think his sister is, uh, don't just don't don't
susan a see know, dude, all right? He always says numbers.
That's his little thing, numbers. And we've been putting up
numbers on YouTube. Is my whole point in bringing that up?
Putting up some numbers up there. George Pickens is now
a Cowboys gonna win a star on his helmet.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Rob and I talking about do you like to move?

Speaker 6 (13:59):
Is it a non starter or maybe it's something great
that you think will help their offense eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox, take a couple of calls.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Who we got well in Wisconsin, you're on the ey
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Well?

Speaker 8 (14:12):
Rob? What's up? Kelvin? Will?

Speaker 1 (14:14):
How are you nothing much?

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Another day?

Speaker 8 (14:17):
Another tax man.

Speaker 7 (14:18):
They're getting real creative, real quick.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah, you ain't lying about that, bro?

Speaker 7 (14:23):
Uh and and Rob? Just who you know about a
year or so ago, maybe another season ago, you had
a conversation about history. And I'm sorry, I can't get
excited right about the team and their acquisition. I mean,
it's you know, it's great, you know, for activity, it's
great for the fan base. For me, I can't really
get excited. I mean, I'm more excited about what the
Raiders have done really. I mean they've added, you know,

(14:44):
different pieces, but the main thing is you can get
all those pieces you want, but if you don't have
a play caller, there's going to be to push that system,
get all those guys, and you know, racking up ten
wins in this league is a little bit harder now,
especially you know, with the with the you know, with
seventeen games. So I just don't see how this makes
a splash for Dallas when they've had multiple weapons and
multiple seasons and it still hasn't matter as anything, So

(15:06):
hopefully you know that the play callers are able to
utilize those great, I mean great acquisitions. But honestly, I'm
more thrilled about the acquisition of Jay r Alexander, wanting
to see how he translates into the Cowboys defense. But
thanks for taking.

Speaker 8 (15:19):
The call, Robin.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
No doubt Will I could tell yeah, Will really what
he was trying to say was this Jerry Jones fault.
But he was just going around here and Rob, that
must have been your friend talking about the Raider as
I had nothing to do with nothing.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
You know what I want to do Zo Dog on Raiders.
Look at Rob, you know you.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Texted him to call in. They haven't talked about the
Raiders yet. That's because of Tom Brady. Were you mad?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Rob, G You weren't here for the draft that Tom
Brady passed on Shador. I thought he was his mentor
and that worked out Shador and given the okay to
Chador that he's.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
He's got it. What happened now?

Speaker 5 (15:50):
I'm more mad that Tom Brady did an interview with
the Paul Brothers to reiterate they had nothing to do
with any of the roster decisions.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
An a message. But wasn't there.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Reports that you were helping him trying to get Ben Johnson?
Wasn't that reporting to get Matthew Stafford? But now suddenly
you're not even he's.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
Good at that. Let me tell you it was great
at taking his hands off the cheeter and a liar. Right,
he is great?

Speaker 1 (16:15):
And hey what I didn't even I had a mag
What was that? I don't even know. Somebody don't know
who put that in there.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
And then I remember after the election or whatever, I
think his wife at that time came out we didn't.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
We didn't vote, like I think he misremembers.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
It was like, oh my god, Colin Kaepernick, man, what
he kneeling yeling?

Speaker 1 (16:33):
What's going on? I didn't even know he was great
anything were kneeling, But he didn't know anything that was
going on. I know, I thought they were down there
tying of shoes.

Speaker 8 (16:43):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I was trying to figure it out.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Shannon in Delaware, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
What's up, Shannon?

Speaker 8 (16:50):
Yo? What's up? I'm good? Hey man?

Speaker 7 (16:55):
I love that right now? You know, I know, Yeah,
George Pickings going to Cowboys is a horrible move, man.

Speaker 8 (17:06):
I mean, Dak Prescott is already bald right now.

Speaker 7 (17:09):
Like by week he's gonna shave his beard in his eyebrows.

Speaker 8 (17:12):
Like it's not a good it's not.

Speaker 7 (17:14):
Gonna be a good combo, especially with Sean Heimer. And
then you know, this is just last year on the deal,
so I mean, they gotta pay, they gotta pay Michael
Parsons and uh uh might pay him also, So it.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Was like like a one year deal of trying to
prove himself.

Speaker 8 (17:31):
Thanks for the car, guys.

Speaker 6 (17:32):
No doubt. Go listen to some more of that. Larry
June appreciate. Hey, hey, hey, let me.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Get you a bunch of Larry you right around your
nice car. You got your little Gucci Gucci hoodie on whatever.
I'm listening to Larry David on my radio. It's a
great show. Yes, we enjoyed as well. But put you
some Larry I brought out when you went your little
young tender doing. What are you saying now? I'm saying,
what's nice? Lady? You know what are we talking about? Rod?

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Listen, we ain't mad at you, you know, no, no, no,
what do you mean you guys? You have you have
to go young for forty eight? Yeah, I told you
what you do for me. It's cut it in half
plus seven. So how do you third of man?

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Thirty?

Speaker 6 (18:15):
It's about thirty eight as a minimum, right right right
around there something like that.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Okay, that's even.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
Look even Manci agrees that's not crazy. Yeah, yeah, what'd
you say, Manci?

Speaker 1 (18:27):
I'm good with that. I agree that's a lot of
a lot.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
Of certain faiths believe that a man should go to
the lower than Bill Belichick did.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Listen, but don't do what Bill Belichick has done. What
the thing that has he blinked yet?

Speaker 6 (18:40):
But Bill Belichick blink twice if I got him hostage.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
But the thing that's man, the thing that's crazy, though,
is that's not her first older. Did you see the
other boy like? That's not her first? There's another guy
who was as old.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
So what is no? I can't say that. Don't say it.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
I can't say. I'm trying to make you know, while
y'all hating on Bill Man and were scammed, we're concerned.
Let him let him live.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
The greatest part though, was her and the picture of
the other boyfriend. And I thought it was nice because
her dress matched his wheelchair.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
I'm just saying there's no handle grips. He's got red
handle grips. I wore a red dress. All I say,
she's targeted. All man, shouldn't we be concerned? Actually, how
do we think about it? Let you know how your
grandparents get the call they scam him? Did Bill answer
the phone? Hi, we're calling about your warrants? Here in

(19:35):
your car my warranty?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yes, I'm like god, yes, And then you gotta come
see that. Does she scam? Is she scamming up?

Speaker 8 (19:40):
This?

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Is this what she does? Come on Bill Radio. She's
doing something. Don't give me that. Robsie. You are here.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
When we talked about the man had no days off,
all right, the man ran everything, ran the or a military.
Now all of a sudden, he can't even answer question.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
He's ninety eight years old.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Let him, Hey, if she wants to take care of
the day to day, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
And she snapped, she snapped at him, and he was.

Speaker 6 (20:01):
Just I'm sorry, I don't know what right he wasn't
on the Cincinnati in Roy Hibbert getting ready to join

we have right now Roy Hibbert, former NBA All Star
Center and of course now doing some NBA calling our talk,
analyzing some games. Getting ready to join us now, Roy,
looking forward to getting your thoughts on what we've been
saying so far and what I believe has been a

(20:42):
pretty fun playoffs.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
What's happening to Roy?

Speaker 8 (20:45):
Hey, I appreciate you guys having me on Big Fans,
Big fans man, ready to talk basketball man.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Thank you, Thank you appreciate that a lot, no doubt.

Speaker 6 (20:54):
I want to ask you this as a big fellow.
We were just talking about this yesterday. Two four question
for you Roy, how special is Jokids just as far
as what you've seen as unique gifts and talents? And
then I do want to ask you something I had
I brought up yesterday. What do you think it would
have been like if he had to go? If you
were playing an era and even a little before you

(21:15):
where it had true force, true fives, meaning you had
Ben Wallace Rashid Wallace.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
You know you had uh Dirk.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Navinsky and Tyson Chandler and Kendrick and KG, Tim Duncan,
David Robinson, where it would have been a lot harder.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
I believe Uh.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
To to to defend and also have to defend on
the other end.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
But what do you make of jo Ki Jin? How
would you stop him? If you're playing.

Speaker 8 (21:36):
Man with Joki? Well, first of all, I love this game,
like the ability to you know, have that and I
would say offwards three from deep, but then to be
able to hit that such a good clip and then
be able to drive to the basket. That's what he's
doing against his Okac team. He's putting a lot of
pressure on the on the front court. You know, Chet Holmgrom,

(21:58):
he had some fouls early trying to wear him down.
So he's trying to go through his body as much
as possible. But the thing about Joker is he had
such good complimentary players around them where he can you know,
make a drive and it he can just make a
behind the back pass to Aaron Gordon because he's so
reliable and you know he's always in this spot. And
then you know he just has such a good feel

(22:20):
for the game, but like he picks people apart, and
he's been really aggressive with his matchup in this playoff series.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
It's incredible.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
I think the stat line the other the other day
nobody had ever done in an NBA playoff game.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Like, like.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Your point about the other centers there is fine, but
the only problem is, like he's taking advantage of the
situation and playing at a level. What do you have
earlier this year when he had the sixties twenty two, I.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Mean, Roy, you see those numbers. It's mind boggling, isn't.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
It It is? It is, And you know he had
such a good game and he'll turn the ball over
from time to I mean he had seven, but like
there's like no drop in type of play, like your
star player maybe having a great game, but he may
have some turnovers. Those guys just step up in this
play so well. I just have to say, Russell Westbrook

(23:13):
and Christian Brown, they play so well together in the tandem,
like on the fast break as well, put in a
lot of pressure. So I think, you know, Denver, you
know they have championship material on them.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Let's talk about your former team, the Pacers, and I
mean they absolutely just stole the game that they had
no business winning. And I mean, I know the NBA
players voted Halliburn one of the most overrated overrated, but
my goodness, he's had two game winners in ten days
in a week.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
I should say, how scary are them?

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Because I think most people in NBA America fell asleep
on the Pacers during the regular season.

Speaker 8 (23:52):
Well, I feel like that's just been pretty much how
people feel about the Pacers, you know, throughout my tenure there,
and then you know after I get a lot of
memes about they don't watch us play, but they do
play a good style of basketball where they play with
a lot of pace. Now. Game one, they were really
Chris with their offense and they were able to hit,
you know, a lot of threes. Nate Smith played well,

(24:13):
Master played well. But in Game two, early on, they
had a lot of fouls. They had a lot of fouls.
They had twenty six files twenty one, They had a
lot and they combined that with a lot of turnovers,
and I felt like the Cavs defense was really honing
in on that second unit in terms of them Hard

(24:34):
and McConnell. They had a little turnovers and that mixed
with some misshots put them in a hole. But the
fortitude of that team had to not give up in
that environment. Being down twenty and just keep chipping away
says a lot you know about who they are. And
the last thing I'll say is, you know, a wins
a win in the playoffs, but at the same time,
you have to look back at it after and like, man,

(24:57):
it's good to get this win. But the Cavs are,
you know, three key players and Donald Mitchell had such
a good game and they only beat the Pacers by one,
So that to me is a little thing that I'm
a little worried about. But being able to go back
home to Indiana for the next two games, I still
think the Paces potentially do it in five.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Do you think this is Roy Hibbert, our guest, by
the way, former NBA All Star center on with the
A couple. Do you think they have what it takes
to finish to close the job? I mean, you mentioned
if you're Cleveland, you're saying, man, we were down a
few stars, will be fine, we can get back in
this thing. Do you think they have what it takes
to get on and maybe potentially play at Boston or
New York but it looks like it's gonna be Boston.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
But do they have that.

Speaker 8 (25:37):
I don't know. I think they'll be able to get
past the Cavs. Just to say, just watch Scruce's post game.
He looked, he sounds defeated, and I feel like maybe
the Pacer that that win maybe maybe broke them. Not
sure if they're going to get back now. Now with
the Celtics, I do see some cracks in the armor potentially,
you know, I'm not sure if for thing this is

(26:00):
playing right now and what's the issue with him, But
I do see some opportunities with the pace of which
the Pacers play at and they turn whether it's a
live ball turnover or even a main shot, they turned
it into fast break opportunities. With the Celtics with a
three point shooting percentages they've been doing. If the Pacers
get like two or three fast break opportunities, things could

(26:20):
go their way early.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
How about end of games.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
We've seen teams just cough up games, can't get the
ball in bounds, don't like I.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Just can't get over it.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
When you when you played, aren't those things that you
work on about.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
You're expecting pressure.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
They're gonna pressure us at the end of the game
to get the ball in and you got to figure
out is that is that the way you do it
Roy where you're like, here's your first option.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
You got to do this, you gotta do that.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Last night, I can't remember who threw the ball and bounds,
but basically throw it to the other team.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Just threw it to the pass.

Speaker 8 (26:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know to end up games. You know,
when I played, we'd have a situation where we'd have
the blue team versus the white team, and you know,
we need a bucket. You know, we need to get
the ball inbound to get this one shot. So we
would do this thing over and over and over, and
we'd have certain times where like the blue team did
not let us get that that bucket. So you know,

(27:18):
to see that at the end of the game that
maybe that's just a little bit of execution. Maybe that
player has not been in that situation before where you know,
things get a little tight and you throw it away.
So hopefully that player can learn from that and move on.
But you know, there's a situation situation. I'm not sure
if you guys could remember, but a team was up
three and I think they went to foul. I think
it might have been the Denver.

Speaker 6 (27:39):
Yeah, it was the thunder and they filed, they filed Denver.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
They fell, They fall too quickly.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
Too quickly, you know, so those things that's like making
you scratch your head and just be like, oh this
play like solid defense? Then you know, I don't know,
but you know they have a job in you know,
coaching in the NBA and I don't.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
So you know what else you got right? You got eyes?
We all saw it. Yeah, I mean like it ain't
rocket side.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
I tell people all the time, you don't have to
have played twenty years in the NBA to look at it.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Go that's a bad that's a bad file to do
that there.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
Hey, let's stay I'm gonna go to the Western Conference
real quick. We saw last night Minnesota. I don't know
if they came in tired. I don't know if they
were just arrogant thinking, hey, you know where we just
beat Lebron and Luke and feeling good.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
What happened there with Minnesota? And uh?

Speaker 6 (28:27):
And what do you make of the Warriors ever since
they got Jimmy Butler? Obviously Steph is gonna be out
a week or so, but what do you make of
the Warriors.

Speaker 8 (28:33):
Man, I feel like the Warriors that have been there,
and obviously it's like trickle down effect in terms of
like how their players play. And obviously, with Steph potentially
being out for a while, obviously that could be an issue.
But I mean they're a tough team. I don't know
if they're gonna win the series, but they're showing me
a lot.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be tough without him, but
I think getting that first game was huge rob So
even if they were to say they lose two in
a row, he comes back, You're two and one.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
You're still in that thing.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Well, I want to ask you one last thing about
the Lakers and them getting knocked out. I mean, everybody
and their uncle had them going to the final.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
You.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
I mean like it was ridiculous, Like, oh, oh, they
go into the fire. I was like, the path is clear,
They're gonna breeze into the Okay. But anyway, my point
would be about Luca and we heard JJ Reddick talk
about players need to be in championship shape. I don't
know who he was talking about. I mean, who else
was not in championship shape? But when you look at

(29:35):
Luca and and obviously he's a talented player and offensively
a machine, but defensively he's a liability and they ran
plays at him time and time again.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
How do you fix that? If you're the Lakers? Is
that something a player can do? Can you get into him?

Speaker 8 (29:54):
Man?

Speaker 4 (29:54):
You got not to be a stopper Roy, but to
put some effort on the defensive end.

Speaker 8 (29:59):
That's all I mean in terms of getting in shape.
You know, I used to say, you know, during the
summer the time to like work extremely hard, and I
know Luca plays a lot of basketball throughout the summer internationally.
You know, I've initially when I heard of the players
that you get in shape, my automatic feeling was, you know,

(30:19):
JJ threw him under the bus. But then, like obviously
I listened to a lot more. I think Brian Windhorst
said something where every level that he's played at he
has heard the same thing from the same coaches over
the years. You need to get in better shape, you
need to get in better shape. But his offense, you know,
you know, transcends all of that. So mistakes can be

(30:41):
you know, a race or they're not looked at. But
I'm not sure, like you know, you hear about Lebron
and his million dollar mentality in terms of like keeping
his body right. Maybe that can, but you can't teach
your old dog new tricks. And I think Dallas kind
of saw what you know, everybody else is kind of
seeing right now. But Luca's still going to get you points.
Maybe they can maybe put players around him, like a J.

(31:03):
McDaniels who are long. I think the Timberwolves have some
of the best, you know, defensive players that are long,
athletic Alexander, you know, who can fill in that gap
to help him a little bit more, who can also
get a bucket on the other end. So I don't
think he's gonna get one or two percent. Maybe he
can get one or two percent better on the defensive end,

(31:24):
fighting over screens, not arguing with the refs and getting
back in transition. But I know I'm as along with
an answer. I'm not sure I asked it, but I
feel like it has to come from him or he's
gonna have to be filling the gaps with some other
with some other players.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
It's the go to fill in the gap. Get a
bunch of guys who can That's all they do. Lady
Roy Thank you many, appreciate it. Thank you appreciate it.

Speaker 8 (31:48):
Y'all have a good night.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
All right, man, that thing got to set to twenty point?
My bad? Nick?

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Is it twenty now? My goodness? All I need him
to do is lose by ten?

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Remember that? And now you get it down to ten? Yeah,
I told you this one one. You should called me
on this.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I'll tell you. I still think that they'll make a rhyme.
And the other thing, too, is there's a no hit
alert in the Bronx. Why would you say that Yankees
to getting no hit? Why would you say that?

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Now? Now you know what's gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (32:14):
No what?

Speaker 6 (32:15):
But today had nothing to the You're lucky, you lucky.
It looks like they don't look like it. You know
you can't speak on it. All right, one's gotta go.
Rob G's got something cooking for us. We'll do that
next to the couple Robin Kelvin Fox Sports Radio who

saying it's the odd couple Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday,
and now the time for the tire reck play of
the day.

Speaker 10 (33:02):
To go Halla Burton four three three ball up top
Indiana by one one, had one ten seconds to go inbound.
Merrill didn't get it off and this rivals the Milwaukee finish.

Speaker 6 (33:18):
You have got to be kidding week when they're not
kidding you. That's courtesy of Pacers Radio. There the Player

Of course, sire Rack's therefore, how, what and where they

Speaker 6 (33:51):
The way tyre bridn should be one's gotta go now,
mart here the five of crowns.

Speaker 8 (33:55):
Is that when I'm blanning here, fun.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Even number figure it out to hit me? All right,
one's gotta go.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
We do this every week where we take something and
then we find a way to eliminate one.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
And so we're having a little bit of fun on
this one.

Speaker 6 (34:10):
You know, we just talked about Tyre's hallibird Uh game
winner two in the last week or so, so it
got me to thinking NBA celebrations, some NBA celebrations out there,
some I'm a little historical, something the more recent. And
we're gonna start it with this one right here. What
do we want to call this? Ste uh Cohunes onions smuggling, Kiwi's.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Whatever you want to call it, that's what we're gonna
call it.

Speaker 6 (34:37):
Sam Cassell gotta put some respect on his name kind
of started that. Then Tyre's Halimer and a couple of
other people's have done that over the years. So you
got the kahonas the onions on there as well. Then
we have Steph Curry Night Night that's been a more
recent last couple of years for him. Steph, when he
hits you with a whap baba, lou Bob a whit Bamboo.
Then it's night Night Time, wap bab Blue Mom La Ba,

(35:00):
gonna go, Craig Damian Lillard, Dame Time, Tap the Watch,
Dame Time. Then you have Lebron and the silence. So
but he does a little pop pop why push his hands.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Down a little bit?

Speaker 6 (35:13):
And lastly rock the Baby Russell Westbrook when he gets
somebody post him up down low and he makes him
look small, he does a little rock the baby, like
get this baby above me.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
So there's are those are your options?

Speaker 6 (35:24):
The onions, Rock the Baby, Dame Time, Night Night, Steph
and Lebron is Silencer. One's gotta go to you are
a first of Elijah. Now I didn't even get to
finish the question before you already?

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Is it easy? I don't have to go first, Monster,
you go first, Ladies first?

Speaker 6 (35:42):
All right, I'll go first.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
I'm gonna have to go with Lebron's. The first time
I saw it, I was like, what is he doing?
I understand it?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
So that's the only reason why?

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Well, then rock we know your answer. No, you don't
know my answer yet, that's not my answer. I just
really I didn't know what she was doing.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
So the other ones I think are pretty clear as
to what they're saying.

Speaker 5 (36:02):
Sure, so Rob g Manzi got it right. No one
knows what this what he's silencing? Like what silence doesn't
pushing down? That hate had to do with silence in
order niggad tivioty, you know, pushing it down.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
That's why he stopped doing because I don't know what
this is. So I got you something else.

Speaker 6 (36:18):
So I know, y'all, never let the spirit lead you.
Sometime when the spirit leads you, just something, you do
something you know. I don't even know what I just did, Alex.

Speaker 9 (36:25):
It's too loud to be silent, That's all I'm gonna say,
so Lebron, Yeah, Rob, Also, can I pick another one?
What's that pregame baby powder stuff? Oh well he started
from KG, So you're just telling me he's un original
and everything.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
I didn't say everything, But why did that?

Speaker 8 (36:45):
Is what?

Speaker 1 (36:46):
The name is? What stuffs night night? Oh No, I
can back that real quick. Kate On name is kid
after himself. I'm done.

Speaker 6 (36:53):
Well, you guys to talk to legions of men who
have done that, and you're lucky I ain't have a
son because it would have been Calvin.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
The thorough in his mug. I wouldn't have named my
son after me.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
If I had one, I would not have it the
big plates to live up to Strawberry Parker.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
The name was all ready to go. I can't say
if you're joking serious? Are you serious? He's serious. It's
a big time, serious time Strawberry Parker. Straw Barry would
have been the bad part when they said that.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
And you know why I didn't like that, Manzi seriously,
because it was like, straw is such a cool name
to have, like nobody's called straw And I gave the
Barry just in case he didn't like it, and he
could at least have what I was saying, like you
could just say, I'm gonna go buy Barry. But that
was best because they hadn't been thinking he was a tripper. Strawberry. No, no, no, Strawberry.

(37:47):
If if if my son was a daughter, her name
would have been straw too, I would have still given
her which one's gonna go? Come on, Steph with that
night night, because you know why he doesn't normally knock
out a big shot.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
At the end to put anybody night night. Sorry about that.

Speaker 6 (38:05):
I knew you were going to say that I'm going
Russell Westbrook Rock the Baby, not that I don't dislike it,
but something had to go. I'm going with that one
right there, but the rest I'm cool with it, especially
day Chin. That's the best of them all.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
